Paul Heyman Gives High Praise To Charlotte Flair

Paul Heyman is very high on Charlotte Flair.

Flair has taken the WWE by storm since being called up to the main roster in 2015 during the Women’s Revolution storyline. She has won championships both in NXT and on the main roster.

At first, she was portrayed as her real-life personality then she started to come out of her father’s spotlight and become her own person, who has transformed into not only one of the best wrestlers in the sports entertainment company but a top star in the women’s division.

Heyman wrote the following on his official Twitter account about the former WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion:

“I deserve no credit for believing in @MsCharlotteWWE since day one. How could one NOT believe in her? She has everything a @WrestleMania main eventer requires. The right look, talent, instincts, work ethic, workrate, charisma, extraordinary timing in the ring.

@MsCharlotteWWE’s every performance is propeled by her mission in life, which transcends mere ambition, pursuit of fame/ fortune, or even desire to achieve one’s own greatness. Once you even begin to grasp what motivates her, there’s no conclusion other than to believe in her!”

Flair is slated to take on Sasha Banks, Ember Moon, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Lana, and Naomi in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at the upcoming MITB PPV event.

Drew McIntyre Offers Advice To WWE Locker Room

Former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre the guest of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on the latest edition of The Jim Ross Report podcast.

During the discussion, McIntyre gave some advice to the WWE roster and commented on whether or not he believes there are any leaders left in the locker room.

McIntyre’s Advice To The WWE Locker Room

As someone who had a run with WWE, was released, improved himself on the independent scene and ultimately returned in a better position, McIntyre had some advice for the WWE roster – especially talent who are frustrated with their roles.

“Don’t blame creative. Don’t sit there with a boo-boo face, you figure out the story and you tell the story cause there’s a lot of people waiting in NXT to take your spot if you’re not willing to step up on Raw. There are the guys, but there is certainly room for more growth. The things I’m saying, there’s a lot of truth to what I’m saying and that’s probably why people are feeling them, probably why they are saying ‘when Drew talks I can kinda feel it’ cause it’s real, because I do believe what I’m saying. I did get released, it was the best thing to happen to me because I finally got reunited with that fire, that passion. I had to sink or swim.

I understand that Raw is the best show in the world, the best product in the world. We have five hours of Raw and Smackdown every week and as good as a lot of it is, there is a lot of filler in there and there is a lot guys just sitting around. They don’t have the passion it is as simple as that. I can say it because I was that guy. I’m disappointed in myself, I wasn’t working my ass off to get to the top, I wasn’t preparing myself in the gym, I wasn’t pitching stories, I wasn’t trying to be a better performer.”

“I think people forget that are in WWE and they become complacent. It just makes me sick because you’ve seen the independent scene right now, you know how much talent is there is out there. I was the NXT Champion I know how much talent is there. They’ve got the fire in their eyes their ready to take their spots and I’m there to make sure that Monday Night Raw is all killer. We don’t any need filler anymore. It all trickles down from the top. Like the whole industry, Monday Night Raw needs to be killer from top to bottom and right now, there’s room for improvement and I’m there to be the wake-up call that it needs.”

What are your thoughts on his encouraging comments?

McIntyre’s Path Since Leaving WWE In 2014

Following his first run with WWE that ended with his departure in 2014, McIntyre went back to the indy scene as well as competed in Impact Wrestling where he proved to people that he was someone to keep an eye on and reformed his career.

He re-signed with the sports entertainment company in April 2017 and joined developmental brand NXT. He went on to win the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III by defeating Bobby Roode. This marks the first time that a Superstar won the NXT Title in his TakeOver in-ring debut. He suffered a torn bicep back in November 2017 at an NXT TakeOver event where he lost the title to Andre Almas.

After rehabbing, he came back better than ever and was called up to the main roster earlier this year and was placed on the flagship show of the sports entertainment company, Monday Night RAW. He’s been paired with Dolph Ziggler in recent weeks.

John Cena Reflects On WrestleMania Loss To The Undertaker, Praises The Miz

John Cena has addressed his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34.

As seen at WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on the WWE Network back in April, The Undertaker did, in fact, accept Cena’s challenge to a match after weeks of speculation that it may not happen as The Deadman was last seen on TV at this point back in January.

Before the match started, the referee ran down to the ring and told Cena something which made him upset. Cena got out of the ring, the lights went off and Elias walked out instead of The Undertaker. Elias walked down to the ring while cutting a promo. Cena ended up hitting an AA to Elias.

Then a spotlight hit the ring with Taker’s hat and jacket with a lightning bolt hitting it. Lights got out then back on with the hat and jacket gone. The gong hit and Taker’s music played. Taker came out as his deadman gimmick instead of the rumored biker gimmick. Taker won the match in very quick fashion.

Cena recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where he talked about the match as well as gave some praise to The Miz, who beat Cena for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 27.

“I did not do well in this match. My ‘WrestleMania Moment’ was to spend the time in the crowd and not do well in a very short performance, but I loved it because it got the job done. The focus was not me, the focus was someone else. Often times, we look at things so selfishly, asking, ‘What’s in it for me?’ Well, what was in it for me was the chance to reintroduce a WWE icon. I had to stretch the suspension of disbelief to its breaking point to do it, but it was awesome. Every single week, the crowd would chant at the top of its lungs and no one thought I would be sitting in the crowd at WrestleMania, but I was able to do that. I was able to go out and be handily defeated in three minutes and bring back an icon.

“That is a message to any performer who is complaining about their spot or that, creatively, they have nothing going for them. I’ve been first, I’ve been in the middle, I’ve been last. I just want to go out there and do something. There are a few performers who share my ideology, with The Miz being one of them. That’s why he is skyrocketing into a new bracket as we speak, and I can’t wait to see what he does next week. But there is also a lot of disdain and complacency. You should be happy with any sort of role, even if it is getting your tail kicked in.”

Cena continued by commenting on the build to his WrestleMania 34 match against Taker by stating, “I loved it, I truly did, and I loved it for so many reasons. Our job is to entertain the audience, so that’s number one. The story was amazingly unbelievable to the public, with a healthy, marquee superstar admitting, ‘Hey, WrestleMania spots are earned. I’ve been on a losing streak, I’ve exhausted every option, so I shouldn’t go to WrestleMania, especially with the flux of new talent.’ But the fans, thinking they know that John Cena is a WWE staple and that I didn’t have another project that same day, thought there was no way I wouldn’t have had a match. Even if people did or didn’t attach themselves to the story, I liked the fact that people still remained interested.”

The sports entertainment company is not advertising Cena for any upcoming events. He was last seen when he beat Triple H in the opening match on the main card of the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in April.

Seth Rollins Believes The Undertaker Should Retire

Seth Rollins has given his take on The Undertaker.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently took part in a quick Q&A with Give Me Sport where he talked about a wide range of topics. One of those topics was about The Deadman.

Over the past few years, he has gone from being a full-time talent to a part-timer. After years of speculation of when Taker would retire from pro wrestling, it once appeared that he had his farewell at WrestleMania 33 in the main event against Roman Reigns last year in Orlando, Florida.

After the match, Taker put his gloves and hat in the middle of the ring before leaving. It turns out that Taker decided to wrestle again as he took on John Cena at WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on the WWE Network.

Then the future WWE Hall of Famer beat Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event back in April in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

In this Q&A, Rollins was asked if Taker should retire from pro wrestling, which he responded by saying “Yes.”

Rollins was also asked about his favorite WrestleMania match of all-time which he responded by stating the Submission Match between Steve Austin and Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 in 1997.

Former WWE Star Reflects On Why Finn Balor Lost Patience With Enzo Amore In NXT

One former WWE NXT star has reflected on Finn Balor dealing with Enzo Amore.

That star is former NXT Tag Team Champion Simon Gotch, who is now known as Simon Grimm. He talked about a wide range of topics during a recent appearance on Robbie E’s Why It Ended podcast.

During this interview, he brought up how although Amore was fine with his promos and never got any heat as a result of them, it was a bit of a different story when it came to the rest of the superstars.

Gotch stated that Amore tried to give the former Universal Champion some advice about women.

“I noticed he would try to buddy up with people when he thought he could get something from them, and that didn’t sit well with people,” said Grimm. “When Fergal, Finn Balor, got there, [Enzo] immediately was just d–k riding him to high heaven. Right away. ‘Oh, bro. you wanna get chicks, you know what you gotta do? You gotta get an apartment downtown, bro. Cuz then you can walk to all the bars and walk right home.'”

Gotch would go onto say that Balor laughed at Amore because he was funny at first but then “lost his patience with him eventually.”

Gotch noted that Amore wanting to get close to Balor was due to the fact that he knew he would be a star in the sports entertainment company.

The former WWE star added that at the end of the day, Balor did not need Amore’s help due to the fact that he has “nine million abs” and could get any girl he wanted.

Balor most notably worked with Amore in NXT during the quarterfinals of the Dusty Rhodes Classic that saw Balor and Samoa Joe take on Amore and Big Cass.

Speculation On WWE Potentially Reuniting American Alpha

There is a lot of speculation about the WWE possibly reuniting American Alpha.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Richmond, VA at the Richmond Coliseum on the USA Network, Drew McIntyre beat Chad Gable in a singles match. After the match, the former NXT Champion and Dolph Ziggler beat him down.

Thus, with Gable back on the RAW brand, there is speculation that once Jason Jordan returns to television then the sports entertainment company could pair them back up.

He’s been out of action since early 2018 due to a neck issue and was last seen on TV when Kurt Angle sent him home until he was healthy enough to compete.

As of this writing, there’s no official word yet on what the sports entertainment company has planned for Jordan on television whether that be with his storyline involving Seth Rollins or the “father and son” storyline with Angle.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio how it looks like WWE is building toward an American Alpha reunion against McIntyre and Ziggler. Here is what longtime pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer had to say (transcript courtesy of RingSideNews):

“Jordan’s cleared so they’re just trying to figure out what to do so I suppose you could do that.”

“I will say this as bad as the tag team division is they could use Gable and Jordan as a team and also without it Gable’s career is going nowhere and he’s pretty damn talented.”

Rusev Reveals If He Would Leave WWE For Another Promotion

Rusev recently opened up about his life both in and outside of the WWE.

When speaking about Rusev, you have to bring up his wife due to her being such a big part of his life and career.

Lana signed with WWE in June of 2013 and was sent to their developmental branch NXT. Rusev, on the other hand, signed with WWE in September of 2010 and was assigned to WWE’s Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) developmental territory in Tampa, Florida, where he adopted the ring name Alexander Rusev.

She debuted on the October 23, 2013 episode of NXT by scouting Alexander Rusev. The following month, WWE put her as Rusev’s manager on television.

They had a short run while in the developmental brand before being called up to the main roster and have been paired with each other on/off again several times since then.

Rusev was interviewed by TV+ while in Bulgaria last week and during the interview, he was asked about how he met Lana.

“I got to meet her since day one when I started in WWE. After that, Dusty Rhodes, god rest his soul, who was at working as a creative director at that time, put us together because of her speaking perfect russian. She used to live in Latvia for 12 years and she is very beautiful. That’s how we got to start working, training and spending a lot of time together. Things just happened naturally.”

Rusev’s next big match is at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event where he is slated to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder match. If he ends up winning this match then he that would allow him to cash it in for a WWE Title match.

Also in this interview, he was asked if there is another promotion he would join if he decided to every depart the WWE.

“I love the place I’m in right now and I don’t consider anything else .. except a Bulgarian movie career [laughs].”

John Cena Gives High Praise To WWE NXT Star

John Cena has given some praise to one WWE NXT star.

The former WWE champion recently took part in a Q&A session at MegaCon in Orlando where he talked about various topics. During this appearance, a fan asked Cena if he would rather face NXT stars Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream or Ricochet in a match.

Cena revealed that he would rather face Velveteen Dream and explained why while giving the exciting wrestling prospect some high praise. Here is what he had to say (transcript courtesy of IWNerd):

“I would rather face Velveteen Dream. You know how in the Star Wars movies the old Jedis can look at the rookie Jedis and be like, ‘I think that’s the one.’ I kinda have a weird, odd midichlorian feeling about Velveteen Dream. I think there’s something special there.”

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore has shown off the new venture of his life.

This venture has taken him away from pro wrestling and into the rap world. On Monday, May 28, 2018, Amore released a music video entitled “Phoenix” through World Star Hip Hop. The song has references to the rape allegations made against him.

The sports entertainment company was not aware of the rape allegations against Amore until January of this year once the media reached out to them for comments once the allegations went viral on Twitter.

At the time, it was reported that officials approached him backstage and asked about it. Amore denied the allegations were true but he did acknowledge that he knew about the investigation that Phoenix Police launched back in October after meeting the accuser at a local hospital.

This is when the sports entertainment company decided to suspend him. The feeling is that the company was upset with Amore due to him knowingly putting them in a bad position, which forced them to respond to media inquiries over rape allegations on what was one of the biggest TV days in company history.

In terms of his suspension and later firing, the reason that they cut ties with him is not due to an internal belief that Enzo is guilty, but over the fact that Enzo failed to notify officials that he was being investigated.

This was described as a situation where it was “the last straw” for Enzo after several incidents that brought him heat over the past year. After the rape allegations came out, there were just too many problems with Enzo over the past year and the decision was made to release him.

It should be noted that the investigation against him has been closed and no charges were ever filed against him.
