Shinsuke Nakamura Brilliantly Trolls Fan With Autograph

Shinsuke Nakamura is having fun with being a heel in the WWE.

WWE Champion AJ Styles and Nakamura have wrestled each other four times over the last month. Styles successfully retained the title against Nakamura at WrestleMania 34, they went to a double count-out at both the Greatest Royal Rumble and Backlash events. Nakamura did beat Styles in a non-title match on a recent episode of SmackDown Live.

The sports entertainment company has booked them in yet another match. Nakamura will challenge Styles for the WWE Title in a Last Man Standing match at the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV.

One wrestling fan (@aj_autograph) posted on Twitter earlier this week that he met Nakamura at a signing event. He also shared photos of his WWE Pop! Vinyl figure signed by the lead heel on the blue brand. The funny part is the fact that Nakamura scribbled the words “no speak English”, before signing the side.

Mick Foley Reveals Who He Wishes He Could Have Wrestled

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has done it all in the world of professional wrestling.

During his legendary career, he has faced off with some of the biggest names in the business such as Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Ric Flair, The Undertaker.

Foley was introduced as the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW after the WWE’s Brand Split in July of 2016. Foley and Stephanie McMahon aligned themselves together to draft various Superstars in order to run Monday Nights to the best of their ability.

After several months, however, Foley was then written off of WWE TV in order to undergo a major hip surgery that he needed.

As a result of this, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon thought that it would be a great idea to bring back former WWE Champion Kurt Angle to serve as his replacement.

Foley had a one-man show on his 20 Years of Hell tour on Thursday night in Phoenix. After the show, a fan asked Foley who he wishes he could have wrestled. He wrote the following:

“I really wish I could have wrestled Bruiser Brody or @HulkHogan. I hope you had a great time tonight!”

Lana Practicing Taking Ladder Bumps For Money In The Bank Match

WWE has decided to put Lana in an interesting position at the Money in the Bank PPV.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Worcester, MA at the DCU Center on the USA Network, Lana defeated Billie Kay and Naomi beat Sonya Deville in Money in the Bank qualifying matches.

As a result of these wins, Lana and Naomi have been added to the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the upcoming MITB PPV event.

They join Ember Moon, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, and Natalya in the match.

During a recent Instagram Live video, The Ravishing Russian revealed that she has been preparing for the upcoming match by taking ladder bumps at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

WWE will be adding one final superstar to this upcoming ladder match by having the winner of the last-chance gauntlet match that is slated to take place this Monday night on RAW placed in the contest. Those stars competing in this match include Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke, Mickie James, Sarah Logan, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Bayley.

Rey Mysterio Pitches Idea For Stable When He Returns To WWE

Rey Mysterio has pitched an interesting idea for a new stable in the WWE.

Despite his recent appearances for the sports entertainment company this year (competing in the Royal Rumble Match at the pay-per-view event in January and wrestling in the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV) Mysterio has not agreed to terms for a new WWE contract.

His appearance in Saudi Arabia was a one-shot deal. It’s still expected that Rey will sign with WWE and that he’ll likely return to TV later this year after he finishes up his other commitments.

Mysterio recently spoke with Harry Ruiz of Telemundo Las Vegas and during the media appearance, he revealed that he wants to create a super stable when he returns to the sports entertainment company.

As far as the members of the group, he would want Sin Cara, Kalisto as well as former NXT Champion Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.

“@ReyMysterio told me the only thing missing with the Latino talent in #WWE right now (@SinCaraWWE, @KalistoWWE, @AndradeCienWWE) is him, so that way they could form a stable. LWO 2.0 coming up? Do it @VinceMcMahon! #LuchaLibre.”

Jinder Mahal Talks Differences Between RAW & SmackDown, Winning WWE United States Title

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has had two completely different runs with the WWE.

In April of 2011 Mahal made his main roster debut and would eventually find himself as a member of the Three Man Band (3MB) trio alongside Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater.

In 2014, however, his run with the WWE came to an end when he was released from his deal. He would return to the independent circuit for two years, where he would reinvent himself creatively and physically, before being brought back to WWE around the time of the Superstar Shake-Up last year.

He has been the talent who has worked on both brands, RAW and SmackDown Live. The former WWE Champion was recently interviewed by Planeta Wrestling (transcript courtesy of Wrestling Inc).

During the interview, he was asked about the locker room differences between RAW and SmackDown.

“Generally, it is still the same but different competitors. Obviously, in WWE everyone is on top of their game. WWE is the epitome of Sports Entertainment, it gets no bigger than this. So, whether you are on Raw or on SmackDown, the level of talent that we have on both sides is second to none. Overall, feeling in the locker room is still the same, but I keep to myself and focus on myself, and hope for the best.”

Back at the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company, WrestleMania 34, Mahal defeated Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, and Rusev to win the United States Title.

“WrestleMania is amazing. 78,000 people there all over the world, including people from Spain. Everybody thought it was ‘Rusev Day,’ no way, it was ‘Maharaja Day.’ Unfortunately, Kurt Angle put me in a match that I wasn’t prepared for when I lost the United States Championship to Jeff Hardy on Raw after WrestleMania, or else I would have brought the US Championship to Spain but we will get that Championship back. I look forward to many other WrestleMania moments, even main eventing WrestleMania.”

Speculation On When Brock Lesnar Could Make His WWE Return

WWE fans around the world are interested in when Brock Lesnar will make his return.

The current WWE Universal Champion surprisingly retained his title against Roman Reigns in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company, WrestleMania 34, in April.

The expectation at the time was that WWE would crown Reigns the new champion as it was reported that Lesnar would be leaving the WWE for another stint in the UFC.

Shortly after this event, it was revealed that Lesnar had signed a short-term contract with the sports entertainment company. He was last seen at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view event where he retained his title against Reigns in a Steel Cage Match.

With Lesnar being under contract with the WWE for a short-term and his UFC return appearing to be just a matter of time, there is speculation as to not only when Lesnar will return to WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, but when he will drop the Universal Title.

Bryan Alvarez recently spoke about Lesnar’s return to the ring on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live (transcript courtesy via ringsidenews.com) where he gave his take on when the WWE will use Lesnar once again. Here is what he had to say:

“He is not on Money In The Bank so my guess is when they first announced that he had re-signed a deal I did have someone tell me they believed he was going to be there through Summerslam. So all we know is that it is a short-term deal. I presume he is going to drop the title at Summerslam I don’t know what.

It could happen I guess in July. But he is not at Money In The Bank so it will either be the July pay-per-view or Summerslam and if you got Brock Lesnar and you’re paying him big money it will probably end up being Summerslam.”

First Match Announced For WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago II

The first match for the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago II event has been announced.

This event is approaching fast and a lot has changed since the last Takeover event, which was in New Orleans as part of WrestleMania 34 weekend that was headlined by Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa. This event also featured a change of the guard at the top of the developmental brand, which was Aleister Black beating Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Title.

A lot of new faces have also shown up in the brand while some have left as they were called up to the main roster to compete on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live brands.

The sports entertainment company is gearing up for their next Takeover special, which will be part of Money in the Bank weekend come next month.

The Big Show Reflects On Vince McMahon Being Mad At Him Before WrestleMania 21

The Big Show had a different role at WrestleMania 21 and has reflected on the moment.

Instead of wrestling in some big matches including championships like had done in the previous years, the sports entertainment company decided to book him an interesting contest.

Back on April 3, 2005, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for WrestleMania 21, the biggest event of the year for the WWE went down in Hollywood, which was a theme that was heavily promoted.

At the event, the former WWE Champion lost to sumo legend Akebono in a sumo match in front of a record attendance of 20,193 WWE fans.

Show was recently a guest on Steve Austin’s podcast, The Steve Austin Show, and during the interview, he reflected on why WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was mad at him before Wrestlemania 21.

The reason that the WWE boss was upset was due to the fact that he weighed more than the sumo wrestler. Here is what he said (via Wrestling INC):

“I think my heaviest I was 537 lbs. When I did that match with Akebono, I think Akebono, for a shoot, weighed 488 [lbs.] and I weighed 509 [lbs.] because I remember Vince being pissed at me because Akebono was supposed to weigh more than me. And [McMahon] looks at me and goes, ‘509 lbs.?’ He shook his head and walked off. I was like, ‘I’m a quarter-ton of fun! What do you want me to say?’”

WWE Struggling To Sell Tickets For Network Event In Chicago

WWE is gearing up for their next two special events on their streaming service.

First, the sports entertainment company will hold their NXT TakeOver: Chicago event on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena and then the following night, the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event will take place.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that NXT TakeOver: Chicago has only sold around 7,000 tickets and is struggling to sell tickets.

Keep in mind that this is nowhere near capacity in the Allstate Arena. It was noted in this report that there are very few secondary market tickets sold.

The longtime pro wrestling journalist broke it down by noting that 81% of tickets sold for TakeOver were sold to residents of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin. Thus, this means that not many WWE fans are flying in to watch the show.

Finally, it was noted that Money in the Bank is selling fine and will likely be nearly sold out.

John Cena Has Fans Talking After Latest Cryptic Message

John Cena has WWE fans talking after his latest post on his official Twitter account.

On Wednesday, the former WWE Champion took to the social media platform and wrote about “trying to change someone.” Thus, this has led to a lot of speculation online that he was making a reference to his relationship with Nikki Bella.

It’s been well documented that the hurdles in their relationship have been the fact that Cena was against marriage as well as having kids. Although he gave into the marriage part, it’s been rumored that having children may have led to their engagement being called off. He wrote the following:

“Never try to change someone. They have every right to live their lives how they want. Instead, look inward and work to be the best you possible. #NeverGiveUp.”

Cena was last seen on WWE television when he beat Triple H in a singles match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event last month, which served as the opening match of the main card. It should be noted that WWE is not advertising him for any events for the time being.

Daniel Bryan Wants Brock Lesnar Match, Hated Being SmackDown GM

2018 has been a rollercoaster of a ride for Daniel Bryan.

Bryan was forced to retire two years again due to his history with concussions. Despite that his run on top in WWE was short-lived, he no doubt made a mark on the history of the sports entertainment company.

Then it was revealed in March that Bryan had been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition and worked his first match back by teaming up with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Tag Team match at WrestleMania 34.

Bryan recently spoke with SportBible to talk about various topics. During this interview, he reflected on his time as SmackDown Live General Manager.

Daniel Bryan strongly disliked his role as SmackDown GM

“It was just the best. It was weird because as the GM they would play my music, sometimes I would get a really good reaction and it would make me smile sometimes but it didn’t make me happy. There’s a difference, right?

“A lot of the time I get this thing where I feel very lucky to be in the position I’m in doing this thing that l love, to where I would go in front of 50 people, my music would hit and nobody cared. You’re trying to work to make them care and no matter how hard you work, they don’t care. The hard work is the in-ring stuff but sometimes the hardest thing is getting the fans to accept you. That’s already done [for me] so it’s really cool.”

“It was very difficult. I disliked it, strongly. I would try and leave as soon as I could and if I found out they might not have a segment for me on TV, I would be texting the writers being like, ‘Hey can I just stay home’ – a portion of that is not liking it and portion of that is because now I’m being away from Brie and my baby to do something I’m not passionate about. That was a weird mental thing for me.”

There was some speculation that he would be working a part-time schedule following his return but he will be working a full-time schedule as he just completed the recent UK tour.

Ever since it was announced that he would be competing once again, there has been a lot of dream matches pitched involving him.

When asked about it, Bryan has several names in mind including one feud with Roman Reigns and a match that he has wanted for years, which is against WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

Daniel Bryan wants Brock Lesnar

“I want to work with everybody. When I look at the roster of Smackdown Live specifically: Shinsuke Nakamura – yep! Samoa Joe – of course. Andrade Cien Almas – sure! I did the match with Rusev – it was the first match we had ever wrestled each other before. I’ve been wanting to wrestle Rusev for a long time. I also think there’s something there with me and Roman Reigns, somewhere down the line. I just feel there’s something there.

“And the big match that I always say – I really want to wrestle Brock. I’ve been wanting to wrestle Brock for years, when I came back from my neck surgery in 2015, it was the match that I wanted. I’m sure Brock doesn’t want it, he doesn’t care!

“But there’s a lot of stuff that I get really excited about when I think about it and also that a lot of my friends from the independents are now here in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. I think that’s the coolest.”
