Jungle Boy has reached a turning point in his career as he is no longer a tag team player and has shifted towards being a singles star after his former partner Luchasaurus and past manager Christian Cage turned on him.
Now with a new direction, Jungle Boy has pivoted to a nickname, with him now using his real name of Jack Perry going forward.
While speaking with ComicBook.com’s Liam Crowley, Perry revealed that he originally wanted to stay away from using his real name in order to separate his personal and professional lives.
Reality
“I initially went with the whole Jungle Boy thing as a way to not be myself or more what I guess people thought I was,” Perry said. “It was my way of really getting people to just watch my wrestling, which was really important to me. I wanted people to just watch me do what I did in the ring. I didn’t want to have to talk or have a character that other people were trying to push on me. It was like, I’m Jungle Boy. I don’t talk, I don’t do anything. You just got to watch what’s in the ring. A lot of that was to avoid my personal life in a way.”
The reason for the change is due to the nature of his current feud with Cage and Luchasaurus as Cage has frequently brought up Perry’s family on AEW programming.
“Christian goes and just blows all that out of the water and is going nuts every week, saying all this stuff,” Perry continued. “At that point it’s kind of like, what am I waiting for now? This seems like the time to go for it.”
Perry will wrestle Luchasaurus inside a steel cage this Saturday at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view.
It appears WWE will be heading back to a familiar city for next year’s SummerSlam. A front runner city for the 2023 summer premium live event is Detroit, Michigan, according to Fightful Select. WWE sources have indicated that Detroit was being looked at by the company in recent months.
WWE hasn’t been to the area for this summer event in years, as the last time was in 1993 at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where the Detroit Pistons formerly played.
WWE has also looked at other venues for the show, such as Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers and Little Caesars Arena, home of the Detroit Pistons, and Ford Field, which hosted WrestleMania 23.
The last two years, WWE has held stadium shows for the event – Nashville, Tennessee, this year and Las Vegas, Nevada in 2021.
Updated WWE Premium Live Event Schedule

Saturday, November 26: Survivor Series at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts
Saturday, January 28: WWE Royal Rumble – San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome
Saturday, February 18: WWE Elimination Chamber – Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Bell Centre
Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2nd: WrestleMania 39 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles CA
CM Punk and Colt Cabana’s relationship is rocky, to say the least, which has impacted the talks between AEW and the former World Heavyweight Champion.
Cabana was among the list of people that Punk ripped in his infamous rant following AEW All Out where he criticized Hangman Page and The Elite. Punk was suspended as a result while also away rehabbing an injury.
When Punk came into AEW, Cabana’s television time decreased and there were rumors that Punk was potentially the reason behind Cabana not being featured as much on the show, which Punk himself denies, because of their broken friendship.
Cabana’s AEW deal wasn’t going to be renewed until the locker room came to bat for him and he was moved to the ROH brand.
Cabana was back on Dynamite on November 2 as ROH World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho’s mystery opponent. This seemed to support the idea that Punk being suspended opened the door for Cabana to come back.
CM Punk’s Denial
(AEW)
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Punk is still ‘adamant’ that he had nothing to do with Cabana’s absence from AEW TV.
“Colt Cabana wrestling Chris Jericho only made things worse as far as issues with the two sides. Punk remains adamant he had nothing to do with Cabana being gone. A lot of talent in AEW believes and insists differently and it’s openly talked about.”
Meltzer added that there had been no change in CM Punk’s contract situation as he’s still under contract and AEW was selling his merchandise this past week at Dynamite.

The details of the talks between WWE and Steve Austin are staying under wraps for now after word leaked earlier this week that the WWE Hall Of Famer received an offer from WWE to do another match.
This comes after Austin came out of retirement earlier this year for a match against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38.
Where Things Currently Stand
via WWE.com
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is smoke to the fire, and something is in the discussion phase between Austin and WWE with ideas “discussed internally that are being kept secret.”
Austin could face two types of opponents should he accept this offer – one being a younger star who can help carry the match as Owens did at WrestleMania 38. The second type of opponent could be a big name, such as Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, or John Cena.
Because Punk is in talks with AEW for the promotion to buy out his contract following the All Out incident, there’s been speculation about him potentially returning to WWE and perhaps a match with Austin.
Punk can’t return to WWE until he gets his release from AEW should both sides be interested in working together again. Meltzer’s report added that the idea of Punk potentially returning to the company is not a positive for many in WWE. Still, they also recognize this will be a decision made by Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Nick Khan.
The Owen Hart Foundation tournaments will return to AEW in 2023.
AEW President Tony Khan revealed the news on Thursday’s Full Gear media call. He didn’t say when exactly it will happen. Chris Jericho was the bridge between Martha Hart and AEW through his friendship with the widow of Owen Hart.
“I do plan to do the Owen Hart tournaments in 2023. I’d like to continue my great relationship with Dr. Martha Hart and her family. Oje Hart recently attended the Jaguars-Broncos game at Wembley Stadium. I really like Oje, he’s a tremendous guy, and Martha and the whole family, they’re great. We loved having them in AEW and the Owen Hart tournament tradition will continue,” Khan said.
History
The finals of last year’s tournament took place at AEW Double or Nothing in May.
Britt Baker won the inaugural women’s tournament when she defeated Danielle Kamela in a qualifying match, Maki Itoh in the first round, Toni Storm in the semifinals, and Ruby Soho in the finals.
On the flip side, Adam Cole won the inaugural men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament when he defeated Dax Harwood in the first round, Jeff Hardy in the semifinals, and Samoa Joe in the finals.
Toni Storm is looking for AEW President Tony Khan to make a decision regarding the World Women’s Title.
Current champion Thunder Rosa is out of action due to a back injury for the last few months. Originally, Rosa was slated to defend the title against Storm at All Out in September, but pulled out of the match due to the injury.
Storm won the interim AEW World Women’s Champion in a 4-way bout. Since that time, she’s been successfully retaining the title against the likes of Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb.
Storm on Rosa
In an interview with The Ringer, Storm called for Rosa to come to work to defend the title. However, Storm believes that Rosa should be stripped of her title if her injury lingers on for too long.
“Personally, I think she should just come to work and defend her championship like she’s supposed to, like a champion should. But if the injury lingers too long, I believe she should probably be stripped. And then I should be the AEW undisputed Women’s World Champion like I was supposed to be at All Out. That’s verbatim. I think she should defend her title. I think all champions should defend that championship. That doesn’t just go for Thunder Rosa. That goes for everybody.”
Storm is set to defend the interim title against Jamie Hayter this Saturday at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
There’s a new Vince McMahon documentary in the works from Vice, the network that brought us three seasons of Dark Side of the Ring and Tales from the Territories.
Wrestling fans won’t have to wait long to see what’s in store, because the doc is scheduled to premiere Tuesday, December 13 at 9 PM ET.
Several wrestling pundits were interview for the project, including Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.
We’ve already seen from Dark Side that Vice doesn’t shy away from controversy. The McMahon doc will span his entire illustrious career, including his resignation from WWE this past summer related to his ‘romantic improprieties’ and mishandling of WWE expense reporting.
McMahon resigned from his duties as Chairman and CEO of WWE amid the WWE Board investigating him for alleged sexual misconduct and hush money. WWE confirmed that from 2006 through 2022 (including amounts paid and payable in the future totaling $14.6 million) funds were not appropriately recorded as expenses in the Company’s Consolidated Financial Statements.
WWE identified two additional payments totaling $5.0 million, unrelated to the alleged misconduct by McMahon that led to the investigation. McMahon made in 2007 and 2009 that were not appropriately recorded as expenses in the Company’s Consolidated Financial Statements.
Vice is currently airing the first season of Tales from the Territories, a docu-series that reunites wrestlings legends to relive their most jaw-dropping stories from in and out of the ring.
Episodes from the first season have focused on Memphis, the AWA, the CWF, Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling, the Samoan wrestling dynasty and more.
Jake Paul has provided an injury update on his brother Logan Paul following WWE Crown Jewel where Logan came up short when challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
After the match on November 5, Logan posted to social media that he had a “torn meniscus, MCL & potentially ACL.” He also noted that the injuries occurred midway through the match.
During an interview with DAZN Boxing, Jake revealed the injuries that Logan is dealing with following Crown Jewel are not as bad as first thought.
The Good News
“He’s doing better than expected. They thought it was supposed to be ACL but it just turned out to be MCL and meniscus, which is better.” He’s rehabbing it in LA and hoping for the best.”
The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) have abandoned their trademark application for the name, The Wayward Sons.
The Bucks applied for the name on November 3. The ‘Goods and Services’ usage description at the United States Patent and Trademark Office included “entertainment services in the nature of wrestling contests” along with a slew of merchandise offerings, such as shirts, hats, bandanas and more.
Less than two weeks later, their application was rescinded on November 14. No specific reason has been for the abandonment, but it’s likely they received word the application would not be approved due to conflicts with existing trademarks.
The Young Bucks Returning
The top tag team has been away from All Elite Wrestling since the events that transpired after September’s AEW All Out pay-per-view.
The Elite have been backstage at recent AEW Dynamite events, with the belief that they will be returning to television shortly.
In recent weeks, vignettes promoting the “deletion” of the Bucks and Omega have begun airing on AEW television. The Bucks and Omega have been added back to television commercials for Dynamite and Rampage, another indication that they are returning soon.

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose def. Alba Fyre in a last woman standing match
Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:
NXT Women’s Championship Match
WWE
NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose defended against Alba Fyre in a Last Woman Standing match on this show.
This was a rematch from Halloween Havoc where Fyre had the title won before Toxic Attraction helped Rose retain the title.
The match saw Fyre take control early with an outside dive. However, things went back and forth with various weapons being used including trash cans. At one point, Fyre hit a front senton off the top rope to the floor. Rose dropped a ladder and it may have landed on the left arm of Fyre. Fyre planted Rose on a trash can. Rose tossed her off the barricade and Fyre’s head hit the ring steps. Fyre tossed her into the ring apron. Isla Dawn appeared and spit in the face of Fyre before tossing her off the ladder through the announce table and that’s how Rose won.
Apollo Crews vs. JD McDonagh in a singles match took place. JD McDonagh addressed Crews about a potential match two weeks ago. Ever since returning to NXT, Crews has been trying to take on Bron Breakker. Last week, McDonagh beat Axiom when the referee halted the action because Axiom was unable to continue.
The finish saw McDonagh go for a Top Rope Moonsault on Crews, but Crews evaded and hit the Standing Ovation Slam (One-Hand Spinebuster) on McDonagh for the pinfall win.
Post-match, Breakker had a staredown with Crews, indicating the next feud.
Shawn Michaels appeared on this show to issue a statement on the NXT Deadline event that takes place on December 10th. So what was his big announcement?
Michaels said the brand is focused on developing talent, but also innovation as there will be two Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline on December 10th – one for the men and one for the women.
Five stars will compete in the match that will last 25 minutes where they will battle each other and the clock. Two stars will start the match and every five minutes a new star will enter the bout until all five are in the ring. The goal is to have the most falls (pinfalls, submission, DQ) by the time the clock hits 25 minutes. Each fall a star earns they get one penalty while if a star loses a fall then they must enter a penalty box for 90 seconds. The winner of each match will get a title match against the NXT and NXT Women’s Champions. The participants will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Booker T hosted a contract signing between North American Champion Wes Lee and Carmelo Hayes ahead of their match on November 22nd.
The finish saw McDonagh go for a Top Rope Moonsault on Crews, but Crews evaded and hit the Standing Ovation Slam (One-Hand Spinebuster) on McDonagh for the pinfall win.
Hayes vowed to walk away with the title. Lee stated that everyone knows how much hard work he had to put in to get to this spot. Lee said when he beats Hayes, he will make everyone know that he is the new standard in NXT as the North American Champion.
They both signed the contract before having a staredown to end the segment.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker defended the title against Von Wagner on this show.
The match opened the episode and saw Wagner dominate the majority of it. In the end, Von did a powerslam spot for a near fall and got into the face of the referee before pushing Robert Stone off the apron. Bron pinned him to retain the title after hitting a spear.
The Billington Bulldogs (Thomas and Mark Billington) have signed with Major League Wrestling (MLW).
Alicia Atout made the news during the first episode of MLW Insider, which aired on November 15.
Thomas and Mark are the nephews of The Dynamite Kid. Atout stated that they have been training with Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Bret Hart before announcing the duo will be in action at MLW Blood & Thunder on January 7.
The Billington Bulldogs’ Background
They made their promotional debut at the Fightland taping on October 30, where they joined forces with Smith Jr. to face the Bomaye Fight Club trio of Alex Kane, Myron Reed & Mr. Thomas.
Before joining MLW, the tag team worked for various promotions in Canada and the United Kingdom, including Real Canadian Wrestling and Pro 2 Wrestling.
The promotion also announced today that Billie Starkz would make her debut at MLW Blood & Thunder. On Thursday’s episode of MLW Fusion, Killer Kross and Davey Richards, among other stars, will compete as the current season was taped months ago.
The Dynamite Kid was ahead of his time with his in-ring style and got over as a result. With his cousin Davey Boy Smith, he was also known for being one half of the tag team, The British Bulldogs.
WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker made his latest title defense against Von Wagner in the opening bout of the November 15th edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network.
The match went back and forth in the early going. Von hit a chokeslam on the steel steps outside of the ring. Wanger dominated the match, with Bron fighting from underneath as the babyface. There was a near-fall spot where Wagner caught him with a powerslam. Bron went over with a spear.
On the November 1st edition of NXT, Pretty Deadly defeated Bron Breakker and Wes Lee to retain NXT Tag Team Titles. The match saw Carmelo Hayes knock Lee off the top rope and Lee was pinned. Post-match, Wagner laid out Breakker while Apollo Crews looked on.
The following week, Wagner and Breakker appeared on The Grayson Waller Effect to further build up the match.
Breakker won the NXT Title for a second time on the April 4th edition of Raw when he beat Dolph Ziggler. Breakker previously won the NXT Title from Ciampa at New Year’s Evil in January from Tommaso Ciampa.
Breakker’s recent title defenses have come against Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh at Halloween Havoc, Tyler Bate at Worlds Collide, JD McDonagh in August, and Cameron Grimes on July 5th.
Logan Paul earned plenty of praise from fans and wrestlers following his match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel.
Paul was not victorious, but his performance stood out, and even John Cena took notice as he shared a photo of Paul on his Instagram account with no caption. Paul noticed that and responded with the eyes emoji on Twitter of a tweet saying Cena was looking for a WrestleMania opponent.
On the latest episode of his ImPAULsive podcast, Paul offered more insight into a potential showdown with Cena.
“Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, let me take out John Cena. That’d be crazy.”
– Logan Paul
“That’s my dream. I’ve proven the model twice now. I’ve proven the model of; headstrong capable internet kid vs. a GOAT, a top-tier industry leader. Floyd (Mayweather). That worked. Generated $65-70 million dollars. Reigns. Crown Jewel became the number one most-viewed international pay-per-view event WWE has ever had. I’ve done it twice. The reason is, when I’m paired with a legend, a top-tier industry leader, the model works.”
After Crown Jewel, John Cena posted me on his Instagram and then I saw an article saying he’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania. I favorited it, responded with the eyes. Truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet. I texted Triple H right away, ‘Do you want to break the internet again?’ That’s a dream match. WrestleMania, in LA, on my birthday. Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, let me take out John Cena. That’d be crazy.”
Paul stated that when he is put up against legends, he delivers, whether that’s Floyd Mayweather or Reigns, and brings in money.
During his bout at Crown Jewel, he suffered a knee injury, although he clarified on the podcast that it could have been worse and planned to give an update on his condition soon.
Since taking over WWE main roster creative, Triple H has brought back several wrestlers that had been let go.
Fightful Select reports that wrestlers who were brought back for the SmackDown brand are on three-year contracts that are set to expire in the Summer of 2025. Hit Row has matching deals that expire around the same time and are on those three-year deals. Some wrestlers brought back had representation and were able to negotiate different contracts.
Other Talent
(BT Sport)
Several stars brought back “were able to negotiate the ability to utilize some outside projects and platforms that they would not have been allowed to do at the time they were released.”
Many of those rules were relaxed as far back as WrestleMania 38 in April and are even more relaxed.
The preparation of some of these returns has ranged from the day before to several days out or in weeks. It was weeks in the making for Johnny Gargano, while Karrion Kross and Scarlett were just days. WWE had plans to bring in Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for over a month.
Triple H has brought back Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, the three members of Hit Row, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Emma, and Mia Yim.

Although MJF is arguably one of the best heels in the business, he has been getting more and more cheers as of late from fans following his return to AEW at All Out in September.
His latest post on Twitter will also give him more sympathy with fans as he noted that an outfit he wore during a previous edition of AEW Dynamite was, in fact, modeled on his late grandfather.
The AEW star shared a picture of himself side by side with his late ‘Poppa’ wearing the outfit and then a photo of himself in similar clothes during the February 9 edition of AEW Dynamite. This show was right after MJF beat CM Punk in their first match. He wrote the following in the caption:
The Photo
(AEW)
“Two years since your passing. Ik you’ll be watching on Saturday. Thanks for teaching me how to style and strut, Love you Poppa. #Penniesfromheaven.”
MJF’s character has significantly developed as he toes the line between heel and face. At this Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view event, MJF will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Title.
After his post-Double or Nothing absence, MJF returned to AEW by winning the poker chip in the Casino Ladder Match, thanks to Stokely Hathaway, which earned him this championship match. Since then, he cut ties with The Firm and Hathaway after they disobeyed his orders not to attack Moxley.
Just because Vince McMahon is no longer running the WWE main roster creative and Triple H is in charge doesn’t mean that plans for weekly television don’t change at all anymore.
This week’s episode of WWE Raw was not immune to change as Fightful Select reports that WWE switched up plans for Dominik Mysterio on the show as he was not initially listed to wrestle on the show.
The Changes
The report stated, “There were several revisions to the lineup. Dominik Mysterio was originally not scheduled to wrestle. Rollins vs. Balor was made a United States Title match, and Elias & Riddle vs. Alpha Academy was set for the show.”
Mysterio is still going strong with the Judgment Day stable, and all signs might point toward a WrestleMania 39 with his father, Rey Mysterio, who is currently out of action with an injury.
Also on this show, Mia Yim got a new entrance song and nickname. Fightful’s report also noted that “Michin,” her new nickname, which means “crazy’ in Korean, will be used from time to time and the company will also refer to her as Michin, but the working plan is for Mia Yim to still be used moving forward.
Yim is still finding her footing after returning to WWE recently after being away following her departure alongside several other stars that were released in 2021.
Hours after a listing for a new trademark filed by WWE was published for the term Iron Survivor Challenge, the reasoning behind the filing may have been revealed.
According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office database, WWE filed for the trademark on November 10th under Entertainment services.
A new match type is coming to the NXT brand under this name, according to Fightful.
What’s The Match?
(via WWE)
The report stated the Iron Survivor Challenge may have some “scramble” element to it, and other “unique” elements have been pitched for the gimmick bout.
WWE has been hyping that WWE Hall of Famer & Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels will appear on tonight’s NXT, where he is slated to issue a statement about the NXT Deadline Premium Live Event on Saturday, December 10, that doesn’t have a main event match confirmed for it yet.
Sources implied to the media outlet that Michaels’ announcement would be related to the Iron Survivor Challenge, but that was not confirmed.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker will defend the title against Von Wagner in the main event of Tuesday’s show.
Kazuchika Okada is one of the biggest stars in the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling but has never wrestled in WWE. In a dream match scenario, it doesn’t get much bigger than a match between Okada and The Rock.
At a recent press event for “Black Adam” in Japan, Okada worked on the Japanese dubbed version of the film “Black Adam,” which stars the former WWE Champion.
The top NJPW star attended a press event to promote the film that will be released in Japan on December 2nd. During it, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion was asked if there was any interest in getting in the ring with the film’s leading man.
Kazuchika Okada vs. The Rock
“It looks like he can fight. He looks like he can do it [Okada joked about the Black Adam figure]. I think we can have a match… Well, as a fellow pro wrestler, I’d like to have a match with him [Dwayne Johnson].”
The Rock hasn’t wrestled in 8 years, with the last time being a quick six-second squash win against Erick Rowan). Okada is set to challenge for Jay White’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at January’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
Since opening on October 21, the film has grossed $351,573,563, with $150,573,563 coming domestically and $201,000,000 internationally.
Randy Orton has been a top star in WWE since 2004 after being paired with Triple H, Batista, and Ric Flair in Evolution, but he has missed the majority of 2022 due to a back issue.
Orton has not been on WWE television since May, when The Usos defeated RK-Bro in a unification title match on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Orton was attacked by The Bloodline to be written off television following the match.
Initially, WWE anticipated the back injury would require surgery and force him to miss the rest of the year. It had not been confirmed that Orton underwent the knife.
Randy Orton Update
(via WWE)
Orton was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama this week which is typically where WWE sends its wrestlers to get surgery. As it turns out, Orton was hospitalized for an undisclosed procedure.
“If y’all only knew why this pic was taken”
As seen below, Kim wrote a touching message about their relationship.
“7 wonderful years with the man of my dreams. You’re bat shit crazy (but so am I) I trust you, and you trust me ?? we could conquer the fucking world together (if we feel like it) but for now I just want you to be my daddy and me to be your momma and raise our beautiful children together as one big happy family. FAMILY??LOVE??LOYALTY?? we have that tattooed on our bodies because it’s the most important thing to us. ME, YOU, OUR FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS, that’s all that matters. Thank you for loving me the way you do.”
The trend of WWE bringing in NXT stars to work episodes of Main Event at weekly Raw events has continued.
Monday’s Raw (November 14) marked the main roster TV debut for former NXT Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh as he wrestled Cedric Alexander in a singles match at the taping. Also,
McDonagh has been used prominently on NXT TV since he officially moved to the brand from NXT UK in July and given a new name after being known as Jordan Devlin. Once moving to NXT, he has been in the NXT Championship picture with champion Bron Breakker most of the time.
McDonagh in Action
(via WWE)
McDonagh did work two non-televised main roster UK tour house shows in 2017 and various inter-brand events like Worlds Collide, but this would mark his televised main roster debut.
The other NXT talent in action on Main Event this week is Kiana James, who wrestled Asuka. James is someone that WWE management seemingly is interested in calling up to the main roster in the near future as this is now her third appearance on Main Event in four weeks.
Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Carmelo Hayes, Cameron Grimes, Von Wagner, Duke Hudson, Xyon Quinn, and Wendy Choo are just some of the NXT names that have been put in this spot for WWE officials to get a look at these stars on a bigger stage.
JD will wrestle Apollo Crews on Tuesday’s episode of NXT. Main Event is taped right before Raw every Monday and airs on Thursdays on Hulu.
Drew McIntyre has been pushed as a top star in WWE for the last few years because of his passion for the business and putting in the work. Throughout his career with the company, he has won various titles.
McIntyre’s hectic schedule has also earned him props from his co-workers as well. The former WWE Champion beat Karrion Kross in a singles match at the Crown Jewel event and did so after a busy schedule and working with an illness.
Mcintyre had to overcome outside interference by Scarlett in the bout to be victorious.
Drew McIntyre’s Praise
According to PW Insider, there are a few people in WWE praising McIntyre for his commitment to the company as he went from The United States to Germany and Switzerland for house shows, then went to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel before traveling to India to film what was described as a “movie role” the company set up with Sony, then flew right back to the United States to work the SmackDown show and this past weekend’s live events.
McIntyre has aligned with The Brawling Brutes and will likely face The Bloodline at the WWE Survivor Series on November 26th.
Things could’ve gone much differently for Gunther in the second half of 2022 if Vince McMahon was still running WWE’s main roster creative instead of Triple H.
WrestleVotes has provided more details on its original report from earlier this year, where it was reported that McMahon soured on Gunther and there were plans to bury him on TV following his segment with R-Truth on the July 4th edition of Monday Night Raw.
The Intercontinental Champion interrupted an Independence Day skit hosted by the veteran wrestler before beating him in a match. It wasn’t clear at the time what the issue was with McMahon and Gunther.
Vince McMahon on Gunther
While speaking with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes noted that Gunther was going to be buried and send to NXT if McMahon was still in charge, but McMahon resigned two weeks later from this episode before he went forward with his plans.
“I know that Vince McMahon just didn’t like what he saw on Raw and was over him, like legitimately wanted to bury him, go back to NXT, that type of stuff.”
According to the report, Triple H thinks Gunther can be the star of big WWE events. The Intercontinental Champion’s bout with Sheamus at Clash at the Castle is credited with dramatically improving that perception.

Kevin Owens will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future as the WWE star suffered a right knee injury at Sunday’s WWE house show in Madison, Wisconsin, during a match with Austin Theory.
Fans in attendance had noted coming out of the event that it appeared Owens was injured when it looked like he blew out his knee after planting it during the bout. They went right to the finish, where Owens scored the victory with a stunner, although Owens needed help from the referee to get to the back.
Owens was said to have a concerned look on his face as he was limping to the backstage area, and for good reason.
Kevin Owens
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed the injury is an MCL sprain and “the way it was worded was that hopefully that is all the injury is with the idea it could be more than that.
The former WWE Universal Champion has been off Monday Night Raw for the past few weeks because he wasn’t going to the Saudi Arabia Crown Jewel event on November 5th but has been wrestling on the house shows.
We hope to have more information shortly. From all of us at SEScoops, we wish Owens a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in the ring.
Nick Aldis has given his take on Saturday’s NWA Hard Times 3 pay-per-view event.
Aldis had been the face of the company for years, but announced last week he is leaving the brand and will be a free agent in January 2023.
Following Hard Times, Aldis shared a message to his Instagram subscribers saying that he hopes people understand why it was important for him to announce why it was important for him to share that he was giving his notice prior to the Hard Times event.
He also added that he believes the National Wrestling Alliance is now the most toxic brand in all of wrestling. He wrote the following:
Nick Aldis’ Latest NWA Take
“I hope now you see why it was important to me to let you know that I had given my notice to the NWA BEFORE this ppv. What was once a promising endeavour that I turned down bigger opportunities to take the lead on, has become the most toxic brand in pro wrestling. Thank you all for the support.”
At Hard Times, the main event saw Tyrus become the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion by beating Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona.
CM Punk’s future in wrestling remains unclear as he could stay with AEW, return to WWE or never wrestle again following his backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.
As a result of his involvement in the fight, he was stripped of the World Title and suspended. Punk is reportedly in talks with AEW about a contract buyout.
Eric Bischoff shared his opinion on CM Punk while speaking with Wrestling Inc. According to Bischoff, he doesn’t think Triple H should bring him back.
Eric Bischoff on CM Punk
(A&E)
“I don’t know what Paul Levesque is thinking, I don’t know what their plans are, their strategies are, so I have no idea. I can tell you from my perspective, I wouldn’t touch him with a 10-foot pole. I think CM Punk had a mystique because of WWE, and because of the pipe bomb interview, and because he walked out, that created this aura and mystique that [AEW CEO] Tony [Khan] brought to AEW and took advantage of for a minute. And once that mystique was gone, once you kind of let that air out of the balloon, and now you’re just performing every week, I didn’t see it in Punk. I just didn’t see it in him as a character, I didn’t see it in him in the ring –- he was good, but he wasn’t phenomenal.”
