JD McDonagh Reflects On The Jaw-dropping RKO Spot At WarGames

The Judgment Day member JD McDonagh recently recalled being on the wrong end of things as Randy Orton RKO’d off the top of the cage at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.

RKO remains to be one of the most effective and ever-popular finishers in WWE. Orton refers to it as the three most destructive letters and indeed it has won him several titles during his illustrious career.

Over the years he has hit some picture-perfect RKOs on his opponents. Recently, JD McDonagh got the taste of it when Orton hit the RKO ‘outta nowhere.’

Randy Orton was recently involved in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. ‘The Apex Predator’ returned from injury at the event and guided his team comprising Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn to a win over The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.

‘The Viper’ showed up when it was nearing the end of the epic clash. However, he made a huge impact and soon changed the complexion of the match. During the match, Rollins and Zayn launched McDonagh off the top of the steel cage. In a breathtaking moment, Randy Orton hit The Judgment Day member with a spectacular RKO.

While speaking with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail, McDonagh shared his thoughts on the high-risk spot during the WarGames Match. He said that he had other ideas in mind instead of the RKO spot. However, he did want to create the ‘moment of the match.’

“I knew I was going to be involved in the moment of the match, I was going to make something happen. I am that kind of person. So I came out on the wrong side of it, you know, ideally, I think I would have liked to moon sault off the top and wipe out everybody and stand in the middle, triumphant, but the Viper got me. He’s quick, you know, he is quick, he is quick.”

On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, JD McDonagh teamed up with Judgment Day stablemate Dominik Mysterio and faced The Creed Brothers in a losing effort.

Seth Rollins Explains His Beef With CM Punk

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently decided to spill the tea on his growing frustration with CM Punk.

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames PLE and it sent shockwaves through the industry. The pro wrestling fraternity was left stunned and saw some wonderful reactions to his comeback as many had ruled out his return to the company.

Fans were ecstatic to witness ‘The Best In The World’ return to Chicago except for Seth Rollins. ‘The Visionary’ was livid to see Punk and in a fan-recorded footage, Rollins was even spotted flipping off Punk and had to be held back

Soon, the fans speculated the reason behind Seth’s outrage towards ‘The Second City Savior.’

Speaking with Sports Illustrated Media, Seth Rollins explained the reason behind his reaction at the show.

‘The Visionary’ claimed that Punk badmouthed him for years and made some harsh remarks that did not sit well with Rollins. He further said that he felt insulted by the way Punk treated him. Here is what he said:

“He (CM Punk) said some really bad things about me. Talked down about me for years, and the company (WWE), for years. I’m talking some really bad stuff. Called me a bootlicker and crap like that.
You don’t know me. You don’t know what I stand for. I’m a loyal person, and I felt pretty insulted by a lot of the ways he treated me, treated the place I work for, treated friends that I worked with.
I don’t need to get into any of the stuff with Colt Cabana if you want to look at that kind of stuff, that’s out there”

This week, Punk will appear on the Tribute to the Troops edition of WWE Smackdown. He will then appear on next week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw and will receive a contract from Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce. This will put an end to his current free-agent status and officially join the red brand.

It will interesting to see the development of the feud between Rollins and Punk.

As it stands, it’s just the beginning of their feud. If recent reports are to be believed, Punk could be in line for a feud with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as well.

Braun Strowman Commends Bray Wyatt for Mastering the Art of Mic Work

Braun Strowman has nothing but praise for the late WWE superstar Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) passed away at the age of 36. His premature demise sent shockwaves through the pro wrestling fraternity. An episode of SmackDown also featured tributes to Wyatt, including a ten-bell salute.

Wyatt was considered one of the most creative minds in pro wrestling and had unparalleled mic skills. Over the years his gimmicks evolved. ‘The Eater of Worlds’ introduced the Firefly Funhouse in 2019 when he portrayed a character similar to Mr. Rogers and presented himself as a children’s television presenter. However, the character had a dark secret, later revealed as The Fiend.

‘The Monster of All Monsters’ was part of the Wyatt Family led by Bray Wyatt back in the day. Later on they went on to have epic battles as rivals as well.

Speaking to Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, Braun Strowman stated why he believes Bray was one of the best on the mic. Here is what he said:

“Bray Wyatt was, in my opinion, the epitome of talking on a microphone with his character work, being able to go in and out of all these multiple characters, see his facial expressions change, hear his voice change.

I don’t know anyone who’s done it, other than Paul Heyman, who’s just been timeless with what he does as a manager and stuff like that. But he still doesn’t have the range and abilities to go through these multiple different characters that Bray had inside of his head. So in my opinion, it’s Bray Wyatt.

Strowman has been on the shelf since the Summer after undergoing neck fusion surgery. He is hoping to return at next year’s Royal Rumble match. You can check out his comments below:

Kazuchika Okada Set For His First TNA Wrestling Appearance Since 2011

Kazuchika Okada will soon make his first appearance for TNA Wrestling since 2011.

Impact Wrestling will become TNA Wrestling once again next month. Various aspects of the company are already reverting to the TNA branding and the first pay-per-view of the new era is TNA Hard To Kill on Saturday, January 13 from The Palms in Las Vegas.

The following night, TNA is running another show from the same venue, Snake Eyes. Impact/TNA recently announced the blockbuster news that NJPW/AEW star Will Ospreay will get his wish and wrestle in a TNA ring at Snake Eyes.  It turns out, Ospreay won’t be coming alone.

Okada in TNA

Okada wrestled for TNA a few times in 2010 and 2011. Associating with Samoa Joe, he played a character named Okato, who was similar to Green Hornet’s sidekick Kato. Years later, Okada shared strong negative feelings about the experience. The connection between NJPW and IMPACT was harmed by this role.  However, neither company, nor Okada himself, are the same as they were over a decade ago.

Okada currently holds one-third of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii. This marks his first time he has held the title.

Okada will be a free agent at the end of January and recent reports suggest that a new deal with NJPW “would typically be underway”, but the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion is “seriously entertaining the possibility of wrestling for a different promotion.”

“He Has to Start Giving Back” – WWE Legend Justifies Brock Lesnar vs Omos at WrestleMania

Some fans may be wondering why WWE has Brock Lesnar wrestling Omos at WrestleMania, but Lesnar’s former rival Kurt Angle knows exactly why the match has been made.

Lesnar has been one of the top WWE performers for two decades. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ has been featured in several blockbuster matches in the recent years. Lesnar had won the WWE Championship again in 2022 and lost the title in a Winner Takes All Match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38.

Following a rematch at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar later entered a feud with Bobby Lashley, which continued till 2023. After a disqualification loss to Lashley at Elimination Chamber, Lesnar shifted towards a new challenge. He went on to accept up and coming WWE star Omos’ challenge to a match at WrestleMania 39 which is just a few weeks away.

Kurt Angle opens up on the idea of Brock Lesnar vs Omos

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medalist shared his thoughts on the match and. ‘The Olympic Gold Medalist’ has stated that it’s time for Lesnar to start helping the company build other talent. He wants ‘The Beast’ to put over Omos at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

“I think it’s a great idea,” Angle said. “You have to remember, Brock is near the end of his career, and Omos is near the beginning of his career. Brock’s always been these main event matches with all the top guys. I think now he’s at the point of his career where he has to start giving back and not being at the top level matches for world championships, but trying to build other talent. I think this is a great idea.”

Lesnar and Omos are set to face off on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW. Omos will certainly reach a massive milestone in his career if he’s able to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.

Bayley Plans to Exploit Trish Stratus’ Kindness at WrestleMania

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley plans to use Trish Stratus’ kindness against her at WrestleMania.

‘The Role Model’ recently recalled an emotional story about Stratus mentoring her at a difficult period in her career. Stratus opened up to her, which may turn out to be a big mistake.

Stratus has served as a mentor of sorts to several of today’s top female competitors including Bayley and Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Moné in NJPW). Bayley and Banks were the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after winning the titles in 2019. However, defending the titles belts at WrestleMania 35, they lost to the IIconics in a Fatal 4-Way match.

There were reports that the Boss-N-Hug Connection were extremely upset following their loss, but Stratus was there to inspire them and help turn the setback into a learning experience.

Bayley recalled the emotional incident

Over the weekend, Bayley tweeted about Trish consoling her and Sasha Banks after their WrestleMania 35 loss. During this discussion, Stratus opened up about her own ups and downs, as well as her insecurities and weaknesses. Little did she know that she’d be standing across the ring from Bayley four years later.

“We sat in the hallway of our hotel after losing the tag team titles at Wrestlemania. You talked to us til 4am sharing your secrets of the business, your personal life, your strengths and your weaknesses………….I remember #WrestleMania” Bayley tweeted.

The Hall of Famer responded to the tweet and stated that at least the Damage CTRL leader already knows how it feels to lose at WrestleMania and will be able to “CTRL” (control) her tears better this time.

“Yah I remember. Well, at least you already know what if feels to lose at #WrestleMania… maybe you can CTRL [control] your tears better this year,” Stratus wrote.

Trish Stratus is set to team up with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch and Lita to take on Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39.

CM Punk ‘Honor’ Reference Has Fans Buzzing About Potential ROH Return

Veteran star CM Punk has been on the shelf with injury and he was allegedly suspended. He has not been featured in the AEW programming for the past several months. There is a possibility that we might see him back inside the squared circle soon.

Punk had captured the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at All Out last year. However, it was reported that he tore a muscle in his arm during the contest and was also suspended following the controversial media scrum rant.

During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, CM Punk bashed Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, which received in a ton of backlash. The comments reportedly led to a backstage brawl which grabbed the headlines.

CM Punk rose to prominence at his first promotion which was Ring of Honor (ROH). With the promotion’s Supercard of Honor pay-per-view scheduled to take place on March 31, the ROH Hall of Famer could be making his return to the promotion at the event.

CM Punk: Honor Never Dies

The former AEW World Champion recently shared a photo on his Instagram story of him working out. While he was pumping iron, Hatebreed’s ‘Honor Never Dies’ was playing in the background, hinting at a return to Ring of Honor.

It should also be noted that AEW President Tony Khan owns ROH alongside All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and Punk could return at either of the promotions. We will now have to wait and see what the future holds for CM Punk.

Hulk Hogan Recalls Backstage Disagreement With Vince McMahon

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has had a glorious pro wrestling career. Vince McMahon played a major role to give a major push to ‘The Hulkster’ in the 80s and 90s. That doesn’t mean they never had a backstage disagreement during that time.

Hulk Hogan has faced some biggest names in the business. We witnessed one of the most iconic moments at WrestleMania 6 in 1990, when Hulk Hogan lost the WWE Championship to The Ultimate Warrior in a main event match in front of a record-breaking crowd of 67,678 fans.

This match was labeled as a “passing of the torch” moment, as The Ultimate Warrior was an up-and-coming star back in the day. The match holds massive significance in wrestling history as it cemented the legacies of both Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior. It has come to light that Hogan and Vince McMahon had a disagreement when the latter asked him to put over ‘The Ultimate Warrior.’

Hulk Hogan opens up on the matter

While speaking on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast, Hulk Hogan talked about the iconic match. ‘The Hulkster’ revealed that he had no problem putting over The Ultimate Warrior when Vince McMahon asked him to but they also had a disagreement prior to that.

“Vince and I had a disagreement. Vince had an opinion that Hulkamania had his run. And it actually went back to WrestleMania 6. When he asked me to put the Warrior over, I said, ‘That’s no problem at all, brother!’ but my question always is, if I’m putting somebody over, what are we doing after that? And, you know, there wasn’t really a clear-cut answer for that.

“I said, ‘Well, how about this. When I put him over and hand him the belt and everybody’s cheering for him, I get halfway down the aisle. How about I just… turn around and just grind him? Just drop him and just drag him around the ring. And I want to be ‘Hollywood’ Hulk Hogan!’ I said, ‘I want to be HHH: Hollywood Hulk Hogan. The ultimate bad guy.’”

Hogan and Warrior remain to be two of the most notable names in WWE history.

Update On Roxanne Perez After Hospitalization

We have an update on the health status of current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

At Tuesday night’s NXT Roadblock, Perez had an intense match with the legendary Meiko Satomura that lasted nearly 14 minutes. Perez was successful in retaining her title against the former NXT UK Women’s Champion.

However, fans were scared of what went down following the bout. As soon as Satomura handed her the championship, Perez suddenly collapsed to the mat from apparent exhaustion.

Several medical officials, referees, Shawn Michaels, and even NXT commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T rushed to the ring in order to check on her. The fans got a backstage sneak peek as Perez was taken away on a stretcher to an ambulance.

Medical update on Roxanne Perez

A medical update on Roxanne Perez has now emerged. According to a tweet from the official NXT account, Roxanne Perez was stable enough for discharge from the “medical facility”.

Writing on the official NXT account:

“Update: Roxanne Perez has been discharged from a local medical facility and is now at home resting.”

A short time later the Tweet was deleted and replaced with another, reading:

“Update: Roxanne Perez has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home resting.”

Perez has been NXT Women’s Champion since December 13, when she defeated Mandy Rose, ending her 500-plus day reign. She became the brand’s youngest-ever women’s champion with the win. Perez has successfully defended it five times since, including Tuesday’s contest against Satomura.

With NXT Stand & Deliver scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 1, we hope Roxanne Perez will be able to recover and make her return to the ring.

WWE Veteran Outlines Why Austin Theory Should Win at WrestleMania 39

WWE United States Champion Austin Theory is set to face John Cena at WrestleMania 39. The clash is nothing less than a dream match for the fans. Theory has been arguably compared with Cena for a long time now. Austin Theory even revealed that he grew up idolizing Cena. He’s been also very vocal about wanting a dream match with the Cenation Leader. Finally, they will collide inside the ring.

On Monday night’s RAW, the 16-time WWE Champion made a huge return as the Boston crowd welcomed him with a massive ovation. He was engaged in a heated promo battle with Theory, who challenged him to a title match at WrestleMania 39.

Though Cena initially turned down Theory’s challenge, he agreed after the crowd urged him to accept it. To some, John Cena roasted Austin Theory, saying nobody in the crowd cared about the US Champion and his matches.

Now, WWE veteran Jim Cornette has weighed in on Austin Theory confronting John Cena on RAW and who he thinks should win at WrestleMania 39.

Jim Cornette believes Austin Theory must beat John Cena

On the latest edition of Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, the former wrestling manager commented on John Cena’s promo and stated that he could see it being the former WWE Champion’s way of motivating Austin Theory.

“Unless that this complete dressing down by Cena motivates Theory to change something, to do something that is demonstrably visible to the fans he’s going to come out and lay him out physically or he’s going to change his attitude in a way that he’s got a killer instinct or he suddenly does something even Cena remarks on, ‘that’s what I was looking for’ or something like that, I can see that,” said Cornette.

Jim Cornette added that Theory has to beat John Cena to live up to his words:

“If they start this way it would be a big swerve then or unexpected if Theory does win the match, which I still think would be possible without people setting the seats on fire and it’ll probably help Theory. But if they’re not gonna do anything like that between now and WrestleMania, I don’t know. They’ve got to, because they just left this guy flatter than a f**king turd in a punch bowl,” he added.

If Theory manages to defeat Cena, it will certainly be a huge milestone boost the youngster’s career. Only time will what the future holds for the Theory.

Former WWE & ECW Star Involved in Tragic Fire Incident

ECW Legend Justin Credible (Peter “PJ” Polaco), along with his family, recently experienced a horrific incident. It has come to light that they were displaced from their apartment following a fire incident earlier this week.

Justin Credible had multiple stints in WWE and ECW, where he accrued several championships. During his time in WWE, Credible won the Hardcore Championship eight times.

In ECW, Credible gained massive success after forming a team with Lance Storm. The duo won the ECW Tag Team Championships on two occasions before Credible got a six-month run as the ECW World Heavyweight Champion.

Justin Credible and family self-evacuated

On Monday, March 6, NBC Connecticut had reported that the fire department rushed to the scene of an apartment building fire after receiving a call around 3:40 p.m. The fire swept through the Bradley Avenue apartments in Waterbury as four families self-evacuated. However, no one was harmed. Due to the damage, seven people were displaced, including Justin Credible and his family.

PWInsider identified Credible (real name Peter “PJ” Polaco) as one of the residents displaced from their apartments. The fire department traced the source of the fire to the second floor of the complex. The blazes spread to the third and fourth floors, in addition to the attic, before responders arrived to put it out and prevent further damage.

In addition to this, PWInsider revealed that Credible and his family resided on the third floor of the building, and evacuated with no injuries. As they await clearance to return to their apartment, they are receiving assistance from the Red Cross. No additional information has been released at this time.

WWE’s Planning for Becky Lynch to face a Legend at SummerSlam

We’re just weeks away from WrestleMania 39, but WWE officials are already looking ahead to the top programs for SummerSlam.

Becky Lynch is one of the top female performers in WWE. She has been working closely with the trailblazers of the women’s division and WWE Hall of Famers, Lita and Trish Stratus. ‘Big Time Becks’ had been in a feud with Lita in the past. Now, if the latest reports are to be believed, she could have a storyline with a WWE legend.

SummerSlam is one of the biggest events of WWE’s calendar each year. With this year’s installment taking place from Ford Field stadium in Detroit, Michigan, the company will want to line up some blockbuster attractions suitable for the occasion.

A new report indicates a major storyline is brewing between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus.

Becky Lynch could face Trish Stratus

According to a scoop from WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, there might be a legendary future feud coming Becky’s way:

“The long term plan, as of this moment, is that Trish Stratus will turn heel and work a program with Becky Lynch through SummerSlam.”

– WRKD Wrestling

WWE often shuffles up the plans late before showtime and that could also happen in this case. However, the WRKD account has been accurate regarding the rest of their Trish Stratus scoops. We will have to see how much truth lies in this report.

Becky Lynch and Lita recently defeated IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, winning the Women’s Tag-Team Championships. Damage CTRL leader Bayley had been interfering in the title match and tried to assist her team in retaining the gold. However, in the closing moments, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made a shocking return. Stratus, Lita and Lynch celebrated together after the match

Becky Lynch already has some WrestleMania 39 plans as she would team up with Trish and her fellow WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Lita to take on Damage CTRL.

What Triple H is Planing for WrestleMania 40

Triple H is doing a great job in the role of WWE Chief Content Officer since taking over the position last year. Fans have certainly loved his work and are eager as to what ‘The Game’ has in store for them.

While the card for this year’s WrestleMania 39 event is all stacked up, Triple H is reportedly chalking out plans for WrestleMania 40. The show is set to take place in Philadelphia, and The WWE Executive already appears to have big plans for the event.

Triple H has some huge plans for WrestleMania 40

Speaking with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes revealed that Triple H is going to ‘stack’ next year’s show with it being the 40th anniversary of the event:

“Next year they’re going to pack and stack the hell out of the card, because of the anniversary. It means something to Triple H.”

In addition to this, WrestleVotes noted that the ‘door is open’ for two major names to work next year’s event who rejected appearing at this year’s show.

These names include The Rock, who told WWE he wouldn’t be able to get in ring shape for a match with Roman Reigns in time for the show, and WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake had also rejected numerous pitches for this year’s event, including matches with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

The show is over a year away and it is quite certain that several changes in plans will occur. It is needless to say that the company will try to make the most of this one year, once WrestleMania 39 goes into the history books.

Update on Vince McMahon’s Presence Backstage at Monday’s Raw

Vince McMahon reportedly made his presence felt backstage at this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW and we’ve got an update on what he was doing there.

McMahon made his return to WWE as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors in January. The party line is that McMahon was back solely to help WWE explore the possibility of a sale and help with the negotiations of the next TV rights deal.

However, many believe that it’s only a matter of time before McMahon becomes increasingly involved in the company’s creative process.

Why Vince McMahon was at RAW

WWE hosted Monday’s RAW from Boston’s TD Garden arena. In the hours leading up to bell time, news broke online that McMahon was backstage. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted:

“Everything that I’ve heard thus far indicates that people at WWE Raw believe Vince McMahon was at the show to visit John Cena. He’s visited Cena multiple times outside of WWE over the last year.”

PWInsider provided additional clarity, noting that WWE’s head honcho was “not there to take over creative or to even run the taping”, but “primarily” to visit with Cena. Even with Vince McMahon in the house, the production of Monday’s Raw was no different than usual.

Meanwhile, the 16-time World Champion John Cena made his awaited return on RAW. He roasted the WWE United States Champion Austin Theory during a promo segment. It was later announced that the two stars will clash for the title at WrestleMania 39.

Fan Ejected By Security During AEW Revolution Main Event

One rowdy fan got ejected from the arena during the main event of Sunday night’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The main event saw MJF successfully defend his his World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Iron Man match. The two top stars gave their all in the ring for the gold. However, there was some action outside the ring as well.

According to a report by PWInsider, a fan threw a water bottle towards the ring during the main event. Security quikcly identified the fan and ejected him from the arena, which prompted a loud “You F**ked Up” chant that was audible during the broadcast.

MJF vs. Danielson at Revolution

MJF and Bryan Danielson’s Iron Man match was a gruesome and bloody battle. ‘The American Dragon’ had scored the running knee strike for the first fall. After hitting a low blow, MJF rolled him up for 2 falls.

MJF was DQ’d for the low blow and Danielson was awarded a fall. The third fall for MJF came when he hit a piledriver on Danielson, who was dangling on the middle rope.

The match was a time-limit draw and MJF retained his title. It was announced that the match will continue under sudden death rules as MJF got oxygen. The final moments of the match saw Danielson avoiding being hit with the diamond ring and hit a running knee strike for a near pinfall.

MJF then smashed the oxygen tank on Danielson as the champ locked in the Lebell Lock. Despite Danielson fighting against it, he eventually tapped out. You can also watch what went down after AEW Revolution went off air. It seems that MJF wants his ‘Reign of Terror’ to last an eternity after the massive win.

Watch Mustafa Ali Ruin Dolph Ziggler’s VIP Signing

Mustafa Ali crashed a VIP autograph signing for Dolph Ziggler over the weekend at a non-televised live event from Trenton, New Jersey.

The former Retribution leader has adopted a new character. He’s keeping a positive mindset, but seems unstable and is borderline delusional.

Ali’s new angle with Ziggler began a few weeks ago, when he scored a surprising win over Ziggler on Raw in less than five minutes. As seen below, he filmed a video of himself ambushing Ziggler with more of his off-putting ‘positivity.’ Ziggler wasn’t having it and had security escort Ali out of the event, which got the guests all riled up.

Mustafa Ali has a surprise for Ziggler on RAW

Meanwhile, Mustafa Ali has also planned a surprise for Dolph Ziggler on the upcoming episode of RAW. Ali has accused ‘The Showoff’ of getting more opportunities because he looked different and smiled more.

However, ahead of Monday Night RAW next week, the 36-year-old star took to Twitter to announce that he was a surprise for Dolph Ziggler. Ali also asked WWE fans to guess his surprise for The Showoff.

“HUGE!!!HUGE!!!HUGE!!!! SURPRISE for my man Deez @HEELZiggler NEXT WEEK on #WWERaw. Comment below; what do you think the SURPRISE is?!?” Mustafa Ali wrote.

Update on FTR’s AEW Contracts Following Revolution Return

FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) made a triumphant return to All Elite Wrestling at Sunday night’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view.

This marks the team’s first appearance in AEW since they dropped the World Tag-Team Championships to The Gunns at Holiday Bash in December 2022. Amid speculation about the team’s future, fans have been wondering about their futures. Their contracts are set to expire in April and the hiatus has some people questioning if they’re on their way out of Tony Khan’s promotion.

The belief amongst AEW talent is that FTR have long-term deals, according to a new report from PWInsider. The hiatus and FTR’s public comments about ‘evaluating their futures’ were part of a storyline to build interest in their eventual returns.

FTR & Tony Khan on their AEW Contracts

AEW President Tony Khan has spoken publicly about FTR’s contractual status. Back in January, he appeared on the In the Kliq podcast and stated, “I think, for [FTR], we want to see them back in AEW and want to see them heal up and come back at 100%. We’re really looking forward to that, hopefully. I think they’re a great team, and we’d love to have them back.”

Dax Harwood had said on his podcast in January that their contracts were up in April, noting:

“That’s my news; we’re going to be away for a little while. I’m not sure exactly how long we’ll be away. It may be all the way up until the end of our contract. I don’t know yet; contract is up in April. I’m not exactly sure on the exact date, our gimmick attorney would know that. But it will be somewhere in the beginning of April.”

As it seems, FTR are on a mission to reclaim the tag-team golds. The Gunns successfully defended their AEW World Tag Team Championships against three separate teams. The teams involved were The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster), Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal, and Orange Cassidy & Danhausen.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler attacked The Gunns as the champs spoke to Renee Paquette post-match. The Top Guys issued a statement with the assault, seemingly challenging for the belts.

Tommaso Ciampa Provides Update on His Recovery from Hip Surgery

WWE star Tommaso Ciampa recently hit a major milestone on recovery from hip surgery.

Ciampa, a 2-time NXT Champion, had a memorable run as part of WWE’s developmental brand. He and Johnny Gargano are former NXT Tag-Team Champions as part of the beloved DIY tag team. The partners would later go on to feud in what would become one of the brand’s most heated rivalries ever.

Ciampa has been out of action since last summer. His most recent match on the main roster took place in August 2022. He and The Miz defeated Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles by disqualification on the August 22 episode of Monday Night RAW.

He underwent surgery in October and is expected to be out of action for several more months.

Tommaso Ciampa Injury Update

Ciampa recently took to Instagram and he revealed that he’s completed his final day of stem cell therapy treatment. Tommaso Ciampa wrote on Friday:

“Today was my final stem cell treatment. They have this awesome tradition at @bioxcellerator where you write what you are hoping to achieve on your stem cell bag. I wrote “dance with buddies” which is Willow’s term for wrestling, and “play tag” because it breaks my heart that I can’t run and play with my 4 year old.

130 million cells via IV 190 million cells via intraarticular (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders) 40 million cells via intradiscal (lumbar spine, facets, SI joints) 360 million stem cells in total. Let’s heal! ?

WWE Hall of Fame: Latest Update on Plans for This Year’s Ceremony

Each year, the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony is one of the highlights of WrestleMania weekend. Just four weeks out from pro wrestling’s biggest event of the year, details about this year’s HOF ceremony have been sparse.

Instead of being a stand-alone event, this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony is expected to take place immediately following the March 31 episode of SmackDown from the Crypto.com Center in Los Angeles, California.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“Those at WWE said that even though there has been no talk about it nor any names mentioned, that the Hall of Fame ceremony is still scheduled on 3/31 at the Crypto.com Center right after the conclusion of the live Smackdown. It’s part of the Smackdown ticket rather than an additional event.”

In addition to Batista, Hall of Famer Trish Stratus also recently pitched a name that she’d like to see inducted this year.
