R-Truth Breaks His Silence After The Miz’s Betrayal on Raw

R-Truth still has The Miz’s back despite the latter’s betrayal on last night’s WWE Raw.

During the latest edition of the show, R-Truth made his surprise return and teamed up with The Miz. They squared off against faced Authors of Pain. During the match, Truth was left behind by the former WWE Champion following a big boot to his face. AOP capitalized on the situation and scored a pinfall win.

In a WWE Raw Exclusive, R-Truth was asked to share his thoughts on The Miz, who attacked him. Truth feels that ‘The A-Lister’ might have got confused that Truth is still a part of The Judgment Day and that his actions were not on purpose. He then said that he would reach out to The Miz for clarification.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I think he got confused. Miz got confused. He thinks I’m still in Judgment Day. [Cathy Kelley says it looked intentional.] Wait a minute. Are you saying that was done on purpose? Cathy Kelley, don’t you put no blasphemy on Miz. Miz did not do that intentionally. He was merely confused over which team I was on because I used to be in the Judgment Day a while back. But I left them, and I’m in Awesome Truth. I don’t think he did that on purpose. Did it look like it? I hope he didn’t. I need to find out. I’ll text him. As a matter of fact, I need to go find him. I don’t think he would do nothing like that, not to me. Better not have done it on purpose.”

Ahead of their match, The Miz was surprised by R-Truth’s return last night. Truth, who had been on the shelf for weeks following Bronson Reed’s brutal assault announced that he got them a match with AOP’s Akam and Rezar. He explained that he did not like how Karrion Kross was trying to manipulate the two-time Grand Slam Champion.

The Miz had been confused about his future due to his losing streak. Last week on WWE Raw, ‘The A-Lister’ was set to face ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. However, the match never started as Braun Strowman attacked Reed before the match. This left The Miz quite frustrated.

On the other hand, for weeks Kross has been playing mind games with the former WWE Champion and trying to make him realize that he could be a monster in his own way. The Miz’s heel turn has finally culminated and the eight-time WWE Intercontinental Champion could finally go a different direction by portraying a villainous role, something he has thrived on.

Lilian Garcia’s Reason For Leaving WWE: “I Made the Right Decision”

WWE Hall of Famer Lilian Garcia recently revealed why she decided to part ways with WWE in 2016. Speaking with Ten Count Media, Garcia revealed an emotional story of her father’s illness which led to her departure. In March 2015, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, which forced her to move him in with her for treatment. The hospital near his home in South Carolina had run out of options and she brought him to California for treatments.

“My father got really sick, and I took care of him. We found out at the end of 2015 that he’s got bladder cancer, and I moved him in with me because the hospital in South Carolina where he lived had run out of options. I moved him in with me [in] March of 2016, and he was going to City of Hope, and they were trying all sorts of different experiments on him.”

In 2016, she and her family were informed that her father had limited time left. The former ring announcer had to put an end to her WWE career to be with her father. Her father passed away on Christmas Day in 2016. Lilian Garcia reflected on her decision to step away and said that she would have continued working with WWE if the situation was in her favor. However, she doesn’t regret her choice and she knows she made the right decision.

“And then it was in August of 2016 that they said to us, they didn’t tell him we wanted to keep it away from him. But they told my sister and I that he had two weeks to three months to live, and I just knew I couldn’t get back on a plane.

I knew that was it my sister and I went full on caretaking for him, and he ended up lasting five months. But he passed on Christmas Day in 2016, and I still look back, and I know I made the right decision.”

Garcia is one of the legendary WWE ring announcers and she joined the company back in 1999. She was also involved in a handful of storylines during her time with the company. She first departed the company in 2009 but returned a couple of years later. She then had a run for five more years with the company. She is currently announcing for the Professional Fighters League (PFL), an MMA league launched in 2018. Garcia also runs a podcast, Chasing Glory.

Lilian Garcia’s most recent appearance in WWE took place on May 13th edition of WWE Raw and she was introduced by ring announcer Samantha Irvin. Irvin had introduced Gunther while Garcia introduced Kofi Kingston for their King of The Ring match. Garcia recently revealed how the appearance came together.

Matt Cardona Is Willing To Die Trying To Win WWE World Title

Matt Cardona is not only considering a return to WWE but also aims to win the top prize of the promotion.

Cardona posted a new video on his YouTube channel, and he reflected on his 2024 so far. He feels that he is yet to hit the prime of his career. While he made appearances for AEW, Cardona is considering a return to WWE.

‘The Indy God,’ who previously wanted to face John Cena, discussed his goals and said that he dreamed of being the top guy. He has always wanted to win the WWE World Championship. The former WWE star said that was his goal. While he might not achieve it, he would die trying. Here is what he said:

“I didn’t dream as a little kid to just be a pro wrestler. I dreamed of being a top guy, the top guy. You have to have that goal to be successful in this business. I’m very fortunate in my career, 20 years, highs and lows. But I never got the big one. I never won the WWE World Title. That has to be the goal. Because if that’s not the goal, what are we doing? What am I doing here? What am I working towards? I might never achieve that goal, but I’m gonna die trying.”

Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, had a decent run with WWE, as he spent well over a decade with the company. However, he was let go from the company as part of the budget cuts in 2020. Since then, Cardona has been thriving in the indie promotions. He has also held titles in NWA, TNA, and GCW. He even wrestled for AEW.

This year, he returned to TNA. He has missed some in-ring action due to torn pec injury but he has since made his comeback to the squared circle.

Trick Williams Discusses Potential Alliance with Former Partner Carmelo Hayes

NXT star Trick Williams is open to the idea of possibly joining forces with his former partner, Carmelo Hayes.

After NXT was rebranded to NXT 2.0 back in 2021, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes started teaming up. During their run together Hayes thrived as champion while Williams was a star in the making. Williams tried to come out of Hayes’ shadow and went after gold as well.

However, things started to heat up between the two and they split at NXT Vengeance Day when Hayes turned on his best friend. This led to a grudge match at NXT Stand & Deliver which Williams won. Eventually, Hayes was called up to the main roster while Williams is enjoying his run at NXT.

Trick Williams recently spoke to Going Ringside about the idea of burying the hatchet with Hayes. The former NXT Champion stated that Hayes was always the one with the issue. However, Willims assured if Hayes needs help, he has got his back.

“I mean, to be honest with you, I never had a problem with Melo. He had a problem with me. But, of course (there’s a chance we could rekindle that friendship). If I tell you, ‘You’re my boy, you’re my brother,’ I mean that all the way thick and through so, man, I can see us having room to — you know, if he needs my help, I got his back.”

Trick Williams will have another opportunity to reclaim the NXT Championship. NXT is set to premiere on the CW Network in Rosemont, Illinois on October 1st and Williams will challenge Ethan Page for the NXT title. It has been also announced that CM Punk will serve as the special guest referee.

Zachary Wentz Reflects On Short-Lived TNA X Division Title Run

Zachary Wentz held the TNA X Division Championship for just a couple of weeks, but the high-flying wrestler remains proud of his brief title reign.

Wentz won the Ultimate X match to capture the TNA X Division Championship at TNA Emergence. He even appeared as the X Division Champion at NXT No Mercy, where he defeated his former Rascalz teammate Wes Lee. However, his reign came to an end at TNA Victory Road when he was defeated by ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

In an interview with 3W-Wrestling, Wentz shared what the title run meant to him. He explained that the X Division, known for its high-flying, high-risk, and fast-paced matches, perfectly aligns with his wrestling style. He also expressed his belief that the X Division has significantly impacted the broader world of professional wrestling.

“I mean, it [TNA X Division Title] means a lot because if you look at my style of wrestling, it is very much X Division Championship-style wrestling,” Wentz said. “I feel like the X Division is the division in professional wrestling, and its style has completely influenced professional wrestling as a whole. If you look at matches now, they’re very much X Division-type matches. So, it definitely meant a lot to me.”

Wentz also reflected on the significance of the title beyond its duration.

“Especially, like I said before, look at all the legends that have held the title—not just them, but my brother Trey [Miguel], he’s held that title. And he was a great champion, so it meant a lot to me. Sure, it may have been a short reign, but that’s okay because I made history. At the end of the day, people aren’t going to focus on how short it was. They’re going to remember that I made history as the first X Division Champion to be featured on WWE television. So, it means a lot to me.”

Wentz recently ignited a feud with NXT’s Wes Lee after the latter betrayed his Rascalz teammate. The two are set to clash at the NXT on CW premiere on October 1st.

How Wyatt Sicks WWE Debut Came Together

Wyatt Sicks their highly-anticipated debut on June 17th edition of WWE Raw and some major details on how it came together has been revealed.

After months of teasing with cryptic vignettes and QR codes, Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks appeared on the red brand by attacking production personnel and Alpha Academy leader Chad Gable in the backstage area.

Jason Baker, who is a practical effects guru at Collosum Studios has revealed some backstage details to Metro on how the debut was performed. Baker, who has a history of working of late WWE star Bray Wyatt, revealed that the whole setup of the segment was completed in 15 minutes.

“Let me think of the best way to say this without getting in trouble,” he laughed. “It was amazing being part of a night where WWE was firing on all cylinders. We had that whole thing set up in like, 15 minutes. Paul [Levesque, Triple H] came in earlier that day and was like, ‘This is what we should do.’ Everybody was like, ‘Yes, sir, we’re going to do it and it.’ The fraction of error is so – when you actually step back and think about it, that is insane, to do that long of a tracking shot with so many variables and so many people and so many things, and do it live in one take.

Baker said that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H had ‘faith’ in the talent and the crew was trusted to pull off the memorable segment. He said:

“We all know that he has that faith in us. So by proxy, everybody wants to do the best job that they can humanly possible, because having a boss that actually cares about you. You want to return that tenfold.”

The Wyatt Sicks is led by Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas) and other members include former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, and Joe Gacy. They recently had a feud with Chad Gable and American Made (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile). Since their victory, the Wyatt Sicks have continued to tease fans with more QR codes on WWE Raw.

Dominik Mysterio’s Phobias Exposed: Shark Cage Triggers His Worst Fears

Rhea Ripley is focused on her quest to reclaim the WWE Women’s World Championship which she never lost in the first place. She has ensured that Dominik Mysterio doesn’t interfere in her title match against Liv Morgan and pulled some strings for her match at next month’s WWE Bad Blood.

On last night’s WWE Raw, ‘The Eradicator’ announced that ‘Dirty Dom’ will be locked in a shark cage during the title match. Ripley has revealed that Dominik Mysterio is scared of multiple things and heights is one of them.

During a WWE Raw Exclusive, Ripley was asked if Mysterio being locked in the cage helps to even the odds. She doesn’t think Dom will be able to interfere in the match but lately, he’s been finding different ways to help Morgan. Ripley then expressed his confidence that she would walk out of WWE Bad Blood as the new women’s champion.

“I don’t think Dom has any impact, but the one thing is, he’s slimy, he’s greasy, he’s dirty. So lately, he’s been finding ways to find ways to cheat for his little blonde girlfriend, which I don’t know where they came from because he’s never had to do that with me. So he’s actually using a little bit of his brain, which is nice to see. But it’s not gonna stop the inevitable.

At the end of the day, at Bad Blood, Mami’s walking out champion. Liv can’t run anymore, she can’t hide. She ain’t gonna have Dom there to help her.”

Scared Little Dom

Ripley also asked to rate how scared Mysterio was on a scale from one to ten. The former WWE Women’s World Champion said that Dom was terrified of multiple things, including heights. She also said that that second-generation wrestler was claustrophobic, and that’s what has made the stipulation hilarious.

“Dom is terrified of a lot of things. Heights is definitely one of them. So I’m gonna give that a ten. But he’s also very, very claustrophobic. Which to me is f****ng hilarious.”

WWE Bad Blood takes place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, October 5.

Rikishi Celebrates Son Jey Uso’s Title Win on WWE Raw

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently shared his thoughts on his son finally winning his first singles title since joining WWE fourteen years ago.

On last night’s edition of WWE Raw, Jey Uso dethroned Bron Breakker to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Jey’s father Rikishi, who has been vocal about Jey’s booking, going so far as to say he should consider working elsewhere if WWE doesn’t pay him and book him fairly. The big man was in a celebratory mood Monday night when his son Jey captured his first singles gold in WWE.

Jey has been on a roll since he started competing as a singles wrestler in 2020. His initial run commenced when his twin Jimmy Uso was sidelined with a knee injury. However, it was short-lived. His proper singles run started last year when he parted ways with The Bloodline.

Jey competed in several high-profile matches including Money in the Bank ladder match and the Royal Rumble. At this year’s WrestleMania 40, he also went up against his twin brother Jimmy Uso. Despite competing in title matches, a singles title had eluded him.

But he finally has gold around his waist. Many believe that the title win was long time coming and even Uso was overwhelmed with the ovation after Raw went off the air. ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso had earned the title opportunity after winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament. During the course, he defeated the likes of Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov, and Braun Strowman.

Uso’s win put an end to Bron Breakker’s 51-day reign that began at SummerSlam with a victory over Sami Zayn. Breakker recently retained the title against Zayn on the August 12 edition of WWE Raw in two-out-of-three falls match.

The Miz Faces Crossroads in WWE After Interrupted Match On Raw

Veteran wrestler The Miz is confused about his future. On this week’s Raw, ‘The A-Lister’ was eyeing to end his losing streak. His tag-team partner R-Truth has been on the shelf since Bronson Reed’s attack and he wanted to settle the score with the powerhouse. He was set to face Reed. However, the match never started. Braun Strowman attacked Reed before the bell rang and The Miz was visibly frustrated.

Speaking on WWE Raw Talk, The Miz further expressed his frustration for being unable to compete on the show due to Strowman and Reed’s bad blood. He said that the crowd seemed happy with how things turned out but that he doesn’t know what to do after giving his everything to WWE. He said:

“The crowd was on their feet before my match. Didn’t get the opportunity to take on Bronson Reed. Crowd got what they wanted, right? I don’t know what to do. I’ve done everything there is to do in WWE. I don’t know what to do.”

After weeks of brawling, Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman are scheduled to collide in a Last Monster Standing match at next week’s Raw. Meanwhile, Karrion Kross has continued to play mind games with The Miz. Even on last night’s show, when the former WWE Champion was warming up for his match backstage, Kross pointed out how ‘The A-Lister’ doesn’t get respect backstage.

There is a possibility that The Miz could turn heel to change things up. The eight-time WWE Intercontinental Champion has portrayed a villainous role during the majority of his career, something he is more comfortable with. It is to be seen how things pan out for him in the coming weeks.

Tony Schiavone Defends Chris Jericho From Body Shaming

AEW veteran commentator Tony Schiavone has made it clear that he still feels excited when the former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho gets inside the ring.

Jericho and Schiavone both have been in the pro wrestling business for decades. They were once a part of WCW back in the 90s. They then reunited in AEW following its inception in 2019. Over the years, ‘The Learning Tree’ has been criticized for being out of shape but Tony said that he enjoys watching Jericho perform in the ring.

Speaking on his podcast What Happened When, Tony responded to the critics. He spoke highly of the 53-year-old wrestler for his efforts in his performances and explained that being out of shape is understandable given his age. Tony Schiavone explained:

“I’m always pumped when Chris Jericho is in the event or is wrestling for us or is doing an angle because he’s so cool and I know he gets a lot of heat because a lot of fans say ‘Well, he’s not [in] the shape he used to be.’ Of course, he’s not. None of us are at that age, but I really enjoy everything he does and all the effort he puts into it.”

Chris Jericho recently locked horns with The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy on this week’s AEW Dynamite. The duo has reignited their feud and it doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. In the final moments of the match, Cassidy hit an Orange Punch on Jericho with a stack of quarters to get the pinfall. Chris Jericho Seeking Revenge On The Conglomeration

AEW star Chris Jericho wants retribution on Orange Cassidy and The Conglomeration.

Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy have been involved in a feud for weeks. During the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, the pair collided in a singles match. In the final moments of the match, Cassidy took a stack of quarters from Jericho and hit the Orange Punch to secure the win. This marks Orange Cassidy’s first clash against Chris Jericho in four years and he has once again won the match.

In an AEW digital exclusive, Chris Jericho sent a stern warning to Orange Cassidy and called him a ‘cheater.’ The veteran star also made it clear that his feud with The Conglomeration is far from over. He said:

“You should be filming me. Filming Orange Cassidy, that cheater, after he beat me on Dynamite with a stack of rolled quarters in his hand. What is your problem with change, Orange? Now we know what you’re all about. So the Learning Tree has a lesson for you. The next time I see you or any of those dopey Conglomeration members that you call buddies, friends, pals, I’m gonna take this all out on the three of you with ‘The Redwood’ and ‘The Bad Apple.’ This is not the end of The Learning Tree versus The Conglomeration. Thanks, Orange, for being a low-life cheater. Shame on you. I should tell your orange mother what you did.”

The Conglomeration, which was formed a few months back, has become one of the most popular factions in the promotion. The faction consists of Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii, and Willow Nightingale.

By the looks of it, the feud doesn’t seem to end anytime soon.

Charlotte Flair Injury Update 8 Months After Knee Surgery

Multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is not expected to return just yet. “The Queen” has been on the shelf as she is recuperating from a significant knee injury including tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus which she suffered last year. The 14-time Women’s Champion has been doing her best to make her comeback to the ring.

Fightful Select has reported that there were reports of creative plans involving Charlotte Flair moving forward, specifically involvement with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Ms. Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton. However, WWE sources indicste she is not cleared yet. There is a belief that there will still be some time before she returns to the ring as the injuries that she sustained last year were severe.

Charlotte underwent major knee surgery in January. She’s been documenting her training on social media, which has given people a sense of optimism. Wheeler Yuta Says Attack On Bryan Danielson Reminded Him of A Personal Loss

Wheeler Yuta has said that Claudio Castagnoli’s attack on AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson reminds him of his aunt, who passed away due to COVID-19 complications before AEW All Out.

In a backstage interview with Lexi Nair on last night’s AEW Collision, Yuta addressed Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley and Castagnoli’s attack on Danielson at last week’s AEW All Out. Yuta said that he could not believe BCC’s actions.

During the attack, Yuta was held back by PAC and the former had to helplessly watch them put a plastic bag around the World Champion’s head to suffocate him. Yuta stated that while watching Danielson getting attacked, he imagined how his aunt had to struggle to find breath in her final moments. He said:

“It was really rough day for me Saturday. Before the show, I found out that my aunt in Japan had passed away. She passed away from the complications due to COVID-19 and I just kinda know that in her last moments, she was struggling to find breath. That’s really all I could think about when I watch that happen to Bryan[Danielson].”

The former ROH Pure Champion said that ‘The American Dragon’ was doing the best he could. However, Yuta didn’t share details out of respect for Danielson and his family. He also opened up about Blackpool Combat Club members and said that he hasn’t spoken to them since the incident.

Bryan Danielson will face his longtime rival Nigel McGuinness at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 25th at Arthur Ashe Stadium. While it was speculated that ‘The American Dragon’ would be unable to compete, it has been clarified that he will indeed compete at the show, facing his arch-rival.

Kurt Angle Teases A New Role With WWE: “If The Money Was Right..”

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is interested in becoming the manager of American Made faction, led by Chad Gable.

Angle recently took part in a K & S WrestleFest for a virtual signing. When asked about his return to WWE, he said that he’d consider returning to become the manager of a faction like Chad Gable’s, American Made, which comprises the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.

The former World Champion spoke highly of the newly formed faction and said that managing them would be apt. Angle said that he could get involved in some spots.

While the 55-year-old has ruled out a full-fledged wrestling match, he clarified that he could still take a few bumps. He explained:

“If the money was right (I would come back to manage a faction)… The spot (matters too), yeah, definitely. I think Chad (Gable) and his gang that he has right now, that would be a great idea.

I wouldn’t mind doing a spot here and there. But, if you’re gonna ask me to do a wrestling match, it’s just not gonna happen. Yeah, I could take some bumps.”

Kurt Angle hung up his wrestling boots following his “farewell match” against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Since then he has not wrestled.

Recently, it has been announced that Angle is set to make an appearance on an upcoming Game Change Wrestling (GCW) show. The legendary wrestler will make an appearance at the promotion’s Dream On event on Saturday, November 23. The show will emanate from the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Fans often draw comparisons between Chad Gable and Kurt Angle, given their Olympic background. The legendary had previously shared his take on the matter.

How WWE Champions Feel About Being Left Off Big Events

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were left off some of the recent WWE Premium Live Events and the superhero-like pair has addressed the matter.

Belair and Cargill are the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and they want to elevate the titles. While speaking on The Masked Man Show, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were asked how they felt when they were excluded from premium live events. The former AEW star said that she is looking at it as motivation. She said that they are reviving the tag team titles and want to take the gold to new heights. That being said, she does want to get featured on more PLEs.

“It’s motivation. I would say it’s motivation for us to go out there and perform and have our fans go and beg for us to be on these PLEs like they’ve been doing. If we go out there and we continue to crush our matches, they’re going to do nothing but want more and more of it.

Right now, I believe that [Bianca] and I are reviving these belts and wanting to elevate these belts to new heights. So our job is to continue to elevate the women’s division. As far as the tag team division, [we want to] get on more PLEs, and we just performed, people loved that. We’re gonna continue to perform and be on more and more and more. The motivation is there.”

On the other hand, ‘The EST of WWE’ said she did not take offense to being left off of the PLEs. She spoke about the talented women’s roster and tag team division and felt that other talents needed the opportunity to perform on the shows. The former WWE Women’s Champion explained:

“I want to be on as many PLE’s as possible, but at the same time, it’s a dog-eat-dog world out here, and so many people, so many talents that want to be on these PLEs, and there’s not a lot of matches right now. So I don’t take offense to it when we aren’t on them, but I just know I’m rooting for the girls when it’s their turn on it. Because I know it’s gonna be our turn, we’re gonna want them to root for us, so we’re just gonna keep doing our thing and take these titles to as many places as possible.”

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair recently defeated The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) to reclaim the women’s tag titles which they had dropped in June. On the season premiere edition of Raw on September 9th, the Unholy Union challenged yet again for the gold but they were unsuccessful.

The Women’s tag team division hasn’t been thriving despite efforts from the likes of Damage CTRL and the newly formed Pure Fusion Collective. Belair and Cargill have been a top act in the women’s division but they need more credible opponents to pose a challenge for the titles. The powerhouse duo is having quite a run as a tag team but Cargill previously said that it was initially not in the plans.

How Daniel Garcia’s AEW Contract Status Influenced Recent Match Outcome

AEW star Daniel Garcia is yet to sign a fresh deal with the promotion while his contract set to expire next month. It has come to light that his contract status played a huge role in the outcome of the match against MJF at AEW All Out pay-per-view.

Daniel Garcia was written off the storylines at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break a few months ago. We reported that he was written off until he decided to re-sign. Garcia returned at AEW All In: London as he distracted MJF and cost him the ‘American’ Championship against Will Ospreay. Garcia went on to face ‘The Salt of The Earth’ in a losing effort at AEW All Out. Garcia was initially considered to win his match against MJF at All Out, but his hesitance to re-sign led to a change in the outcome.

“Garcia was considered for the win, and that those in AEW say he’s not signed a new deal. Garcia has been offered a new deal, and AEW were hopeful he’d sign it before All Out, which didn’t happen.”

Fightful Select

MJF vs Daniel Garcia kicked off AEW All Out. The final moments of the match saw MJF hit a low blow followed by a Jacknife Pin to secure the victory as he pulled off his his signature heel tactic. Following the match, Garcia exacted revenge on the champ, who tried to attack him after the bell. The former ROH Pure Champion would intercept MJF’s kick and hit a low blow of his own. He then hit a piledriver from the second rope on MJF.

Daniel Garcia has also drawn interest from WWE and there is a huge possibility that he could jump ship to AEW’s rival promotion. In recent months, a handful of AEW stars have moved to WWE and Garcia could certainly follow suit.

Matt Riddle Says CM Punk’s WWE Return Shows He’d Be Welcomed Back

Former WWE star Matt Riddle is not ruling out his comeback to the company despite his controversial departure. The Original Bro believes CM Punk’s homecoming proves anything is possible in wrestling.

“The chances of me going back, I think they’re extremely high. If CM Punk, who filed a lawsuit against WWE, and then raked them through the mud for a decade, then goes to the competition, I’ll tell you this, if he can do that, everything can be forgiven. I know I wasn’t the easiest to work with at times. I think the door is always open.”

– Matt Riddle, SI

Riddle shifted his career to pro wrestling in 2014. The highly talented athlete honed his craft and made a name for himself in the independent circuit before joining WWE in 2018. He was in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT for less than two years and was called up to the main roster in 2020. During his run on the main roster, he won the United States Championship and famously won the tag team gold twice with Randy Orton as RK Bro.

RK Bro, an odd pairing was an entertaining act on WWE Raw and the former UFC fighter star gained massive popularity during his run. However, Riddle’s WWE career was marred with several controversial matters including failed drug tests, backstage tiff, and sexual assault. The controversial wrestler was eventually released in September last year following an incident at JFK Airport, where he appeared to be intoxicated.

Since leaving WWE, Riddle has been competing in the independent circuit and also making appearances for MLW and NJPW. Matt Riddle is set to face Tom Lawlor in a No-Holds-Barred Vale Rudo match in MLW on Saturday, September 14.
