– The word at the courthouse in Moore County, North Carolina today was that Jeff Hardy’s court case would be pushed back until Thursday of this week, due to other cases on today’s docket. We’re still waiting on official word.
– TNA will be taping two episodes of Impact Wrestling this week from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida with the final build for the Destination X pay-per-view.
SEScoops.com can confirm that Jack Evans, Homicide, Low-Ki, Matt Bentley and Jimmy Wang Yang are all backstage at tonight’s Impact Wrestling taping. Scheduled for tonight’s taping:
* A face-to-face confrontation between Sting and Hulk Hogan.
* A 3-way X-Division match.
*AJ Styles vs. Gunner.
* Samoa Joe vs. Devon.
* An elimination match between Mickie James & Tara & Miss Tessmacher vs. Angelina Love & Winter & Madison Rayne.
Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW will take place from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and will feature a special RAW Roulette Theme, where match stipulations will be chosen by spinning a roulette wheel.
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be appearing on tonight’s show – and there’s been talk that HBK will be the person in charge of spinning the wheel throughout the evening.
One match confirmed for RAW is Sin Cara vs. Evan Bourne, which was supposed to take place on last week’s “Power to the People” RAW but did not due to technical difficulties with the voting.
WWE will also be taping next week’s episode of RAW tonight after RAW goes off the air. This double taping is a result of the WWE crew leaving for the upcoming Australian tour later this week.
The dark match main event that’s being advertised locally is John Cena, Rey Mysterio and the Big Show vs. CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and R-Truth.
Here’s a look at the RAW Roulette wheel that will be used tonight:
– Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson announced on Twitter on Monday that he’s signed on to appear in the next “G.I. Joe” movie. Rock posted a picture of himself with the G.I. Joe logo and the caption, “It’s official: Call the Pentagon, get me my big ass gun – Rocks a JOE! “
– Diamond Dallas Page revealed on Twitter that he’s backstage in Las Vegas for tonight’s WWE RAW. Page posted a picture of himself and several WWE crew members in front of a steel cage – a strong indication that we’ll see a cage match on tonight’s show. DDP is expected to make a cameo on tonight’s show to promote the new Best of WCW Nitro DVD set.
– Former ROH champion Tyler Black (now Seth Rollins in FCW) recently had this to say on Twitter about wrestling in the rain at a recent FCW show and his upcoming WWE TV debut:
“Wrestled in the pouring rain for the first time in my near 7 year career. It was awesome. Kind of made me realize I’ve been having a lot of fun in FCW. But at the same time I can’t wait to get on the road and take WWE…and the world..by storm. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be and in my heart of hearts I feel that my time is near.”
In his latest online video show, TNA star Matt Hardy gets his long hair shaved off by his girlfriend, Reby Sky. The video description reads:
“Reby shows a true act of love as she not only trims Matt’s hair, but she trims Matt’s terrifying “fly-hairs” on Matt’s back! And Matt raps about the experience, enjoy!”
.. and here’s the video:
Matt posted another video of himself and Reby Sky visiting Shane Helms, who is still recovering from his recent motorcycle accident that resulted in several surgeries:
On the seventh anniversary of his World Heavyweight title win over the late Eddie Guerrero, former WWE star JBL remembers his feud with Eddie. Here’s an excerpt from JBL’s Facebook blog, which you can read here in its entirety:
“I could never have had the run I had without the “feud” with Eddie. We had near riots in the southwest when we wrestled, including the best when I needed a police escort out of El Paso.”
“The idea for Eddie’s mom to have a heart attack on mother’s day was all Eddie’s. No one saw it coming. Eddie had been busted open that day by an errant fist-as had I, I think mine was called a “receipt”, ha. All this added to the drama.
The lead up to this should have been filmed. Eddie, Chavo Sr and I were sitting in a dressing room thinking up this idea when Chavo, jokingly, said that Mrs Guerrero should take a big boot from me. Eddie got mad that Chavo would even joke about it, so Chavo took it one further. Chavo then said that Mrs Guerrero should pack a blade and juice! Eddie and Chavo almost got into a fight over this, it was hilarious.
Needless to say when working with Guerreros it went perfect. Eddie’s mom went down and I was holding her-though making it look like I was threatening her-and it looked so real the crowd went completely silent-I mean completely silent, it was eerie.
After the match Eddie had given his mother flowers-this was their hometown and the Guerrero name is like the Von Erichs in Dallas or Funks in Amarillo. When I hit the ring and Vicki and her daughters started crying and Mrs Guerrero went down and the EMTs came it started to get very real.
Eddie is on the canvas yelling orders for me to leave before the riot happens. However, having been in a couple of riots before I knew the one thing I could not do was turn my back on the audience, that’s when bad things happen. So I backed out of the arena as fast as I could without seeming like I was hurrying. Security was yelling at me to leave, they knew how serious this had become.
We had my car packed and the state police ready to escort me out of town, which they did. If I would have stayed I would have probably been killed. Eddie actually pulled a few friends aside and smartened them up before hand so they wouldn’t get carried away.
The police took me all the way out of town. We got out of there so quick no one knew we were gone. I then pulled over and thanked them and they went back to El Paso and I had to drive to Odessa to fly out.
I had been busted open underneath the eye and was bleeding badly by this point-I am also in only my trunks and boots. All my clothes are in the trunk-we got out of there in such a hurry that our only concern was a quick exit not my clothes.
I see a border check point guard ahead on I-20. I am horrified. The cop pulls me over and sees this guy in trunks, no shirt and blood on his face!! I wish I had this on camera. I tried to explain and he finally let me go with the instruction to at least put on a shirt-hey, I was in decent shape then-it wasn’t so bad!
Very few thought we could handle a main event. We ended up setting an attendance record in Staples Center in a couple of weeks and sold out arenas everywhere off this feud.
Eddie hated being a baby face, he was always giving me ideas of what to say. I could never have done this character with someone other than Eddie. I cleared everything I was going to say with Eddie first and most of the time Eddie would come up with something much better.
Probably the most fun time in my career, though I had a lot of fun times and worked with great people. I am sitting on an island right now retired about to go play golf because of Eddie-I only wish he were her to enjoy it with me.”
Former WWE star Batista joined twitter last week and is responding to fan questions about his recent weight loss. Batista had this to say about his new, smaller frame:
“yes…I am down to a puny 180 lbs. Thats why my head looks so large. Honestly I lost 20lbs over the past yr. Switched up my diet and layed off the weights big time. More go than show now for sure.”
He also clarified his recent “anti-WWE PG” comments, which resulted in a lot of feedback from his followers. Last week, he wrote:
“I’m the biggest wrestling fan there is..which is why I’m boycotting the PG BS! They’re selling watered down art bro. Kills me.”
Over the weekend, he clarified:
“real quick…i don’t hate the WWE! i love pro wrestling! just didn’t agree with the PG direction. i loved it edgy and hardcore. and i would definitely like to return…just not right now. im enjoying the hell out of my normal life. hope that makes sense.”
Several past and present WWE stars have been talking about Chavo Guerrero’s release on Twitter.
Here are some of the comments:
Tyler Reks: “Just heard about my friend, Chavo. I’m sad & happy for him at the same time. I learned more from him than anyone I’ve been with in the ring. It was an honor & a highlight of my career to work with a Guerrero.”
Gail Kim: “Happy 2 hear that chavo is happy and at peace with his life decisions he is so talented and 1 of the funniest guys I know I’m sure its not the last we will c of him…we love u b**ch! Haha @mexwarrior”
Trish Stratus: “Looking forward to seeing what’s next for @mexwarrior, always been a great performer & a great friend. All the best to him & family”
MVP: “Congratulations to my good friend Chavo Guerrero JR aka @mexwarrior! As Tony Montana said “The WORLD is yours!” Working with @mexwarrior was always a pleasure. “Call it in the ring baby!” A true professional & a class act. #thankyouchavo For REAL!”
Evan Bourne: “I owe soooo much to @mexwarrior. He took me under his wing early in my career, taught me everyday, challenged me, and pushed me physically.”
Following his release from WWE last week, Chavo Guerrero has had more to say on Twitter regarding the departure:
“Can’t believe all the response I’ve gotten! :) Good or bad, u have taken the time to tweet what u think. Thank u all
I’m still trending, which means all of u are trending too. I can’t do it without u. In a sense, I am u, and u are me! :)
Not only time to be a Guerrero but also time to represent La Raza correctly! They can try, but they can’t hold us down!! Viva La Raza!!
Weather it was making Mysterio quit, losing to a Leprechaun, being a 10 time champ,or dying my hair & becoming Kerwin White, I always gave U my all in that ring & always will! I loved every cheer & every Chavo Sucks chant. Thank u. U fans ARE wrestling!! :)
Another thing I’m happy about..I get to spend time with my boy Batista!! Low riders all day long!! Impalas to be exact! Mines a 63, his a 64”

SEScoops.com reader Patrick Peralta sent in the following results from Ring of Honor’s Best In The World 2011 iPPV taping from New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom over the weekend. Based on several live reports we’ve read from fans who were at the show, it was said to be one of ROH’s best shows in a long time and the company appears to be in capable hands under the ownership of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group. Here are the results:
* Match 1: Tommaso Ciampa (w/the Embassy) vs Colt Cabana. Winner Tommaso Ciampa
* Match 2: Jay Lethal vs “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett (w/”Brutal” Bob Evans). winner Jay Lethal. Fans went wild for Lethal’s return they chanted welcome back and Randy Savage chants
* Match 3: Homicide vs Rhyno. winner Homicide. After the match Prince Nana (manager) attacked Homicide who beat Nana down then Homicide turned into a Gore by Rhyno who sent him into a table in the corner of the ring.
* Match 4: Mike Elgin (w/Truth Martini) vs Steve Corino (w/Jimmy Jacobs). Winner Mike Elgin. Before the match Corino did a promo talking about how he and Jacobs had turned their lives around and he wanted to introduce a man he wanted to help change his life around. He introduced “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen who had not been seen since losing a loser leaves ROH match to El Generico at ROH: Final Battle Dec 2010. Steen came out on the upper deck of the venue and the fans went nuts, Cornette let him stay as long as he stayed in his seat. After the match both Corino and Jacobs were beat down by Elgin and Martini, Steen made the save and Cornette and security came out. Corino begged them not to do anything. Steen took the mic said he had one thing to say he said “screw ROH” then he attacked Jacobs and Corino and security came in and carried Steen away while ROH staff tended to Corino. Cornette made a promise on his mother’s grave that Steen would never return to ROH.
* Match 5: El Generico vs “Fallen Angel” Chrisopher Daniels (w/Truth Martini) for the ROH TV championship. Winner and NEW ROH TV Championship El Generico

After the match Davey Richards gave an emotional speech thanking fans and his training camp and Eddie Edwards for sticking by him thru good and bad both in wrestling and in his personal life. He said they were his only family. He gave a big thanks to his grandparents who raised him as he looked to the heavens and did a “Rocky” type salute to them saying he did it.
– Bret Hart is rumored to be returning to WWE television in the near future. The Hitman is booked for several upcoming SmackDown shows and creative is discussing possible storyline ideas for him.
– There has been talk of the USA Network airing a new ‘preview’ show on Monday nights prior to WWE RAW, similar to what the NFL does with its pre-game show for Monday Night Football.
– Despite several botched attempts at establishing Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase as a viable tag team, WWE officials are said to be committed to getting them over on the SmackDown brand. The dynamic between The Miz and Alex Riley is being seen as a blueprint for what WWE will do with DiBiase and Rhode, with DiBiase doing Rhodes’ dirty work for now and then eventually turning babyface and feuding with Rhodes.
– Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine got screamed at backstage at RAW the night of the Tough Enough season finale. A top WWE official ripped into Leavine for about five minutes due to the way he didn’t sell the slap from Mr. McMahon and Steve Austin’s Stone Cold Stunner. Leavine was told that he’s a piece of crap who doesn’t respect the business and will never amount to anything in WWE. As previously reported, Leavine will be heading to developmental to sharpen his skills in the coming months. Considering the heat on him, it will be interesting to see if he ever makes it out of FCW.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read over at JRsBarBQ.com. JR spoke about another of topics this week, including Chavo Guerrero’s release from WWE, Jesse Ventura, being honored by the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, whether WWE will ever draw more fans than they did for WrestleMania 3 and more. Here are some highlights of what JR said about:
Chavo Guerrero’s WWE Release: “Sorry to hear of Chavo Guerrero leaving WWE after many years with the company. I don’t know the details but from what I read Chavo asked for his release and wanted to explore other options. Chavo is a talented guy who comes from a regal, wrestling family who I respect greatly. Chavo strikes me as the type of wrestler who has given his post wrestling career adequate thought and even though Chavo can and likely will continue to wrestle, one can never over stay their welcome inside the ring and everyone has to have an exit strategy at some point.”
Whether WWE Will Ever Break WrestleMania 3’s Attendance Record: “Will the WM3 attendance record ever be broken? In my opinion, yes. It could happen in a variety of venues but specifically, in my eyes, it will be when WWE has a Wrestlemania in Cowboys Stadium in Dallas which could accommodate close to 100,000 for the event. With DFW being an American Airlines hub and Love Field being a Southwest Airlines hub, getting to Dallas from virtually any where in the world is doable. Of course, how well any event does or doesn’t do is always dependent on the main event attractions.”
Participating In The Shawn Michaels-Bret Hart DVD Project: “The HBK/Hitman DVD will be released worldwide this October and I have high expectations for the project. The two legendary, WWE stars sat side by side during the shoot facing yours truly who asked them a battery of questions … To be able to sit and talk to two WWE Hall of Famers such as Michaels and Hart who did have a bona fide rivalry at one time but also respected the other’s work was a privilege for me. I’m honored to have been assigned this project and hope that it lives up to the expectations we all have for it. I know that both Shawn and Bret were very happy with the day.”
Ross added, “I’ll tell you this, it takes a lot of courage and character to be honest to the core on these types of productions and Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were definitely honest, open, emotional, and had some compelling things to say. My respect for both men, which was already immense, was elevated even higher after this DVD taping.
JR has much more to say about the Michaels-Hart DVD, which you can read at his site.
lYou may have heard some buzz here on the site that WWE is working on a special DVD project that’s set to be released this fall. Jim Ross dropped a few hints on Twitter, calling the project “groundbreaking” and saying he was very fortunate to be a part of it. To follow up on this story – it appears the project will be an in-depth profile on the rocky relationship between WWE Hall of Famers Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.
Jim Ross announced on Twitter this week that he interviewed Bret and Shawn for several hours yesterday in Stamford, CT for a DVD project that will be released this October.
While the DVD will certainly cover the infamous Montreal Screwjob, but their entire relationship during the 1990s will be covered, including both men breaking out of top tag teams and their paths crossing several times en route to WWE super stardom.
While the Montreal Screwjob has been analyzed and scrutinized from every possible angle, never before have we been given an inside look at Bret and Shawn’s rocky relationship.
Comment Below and tell us what you think about this DVD project – are you interested in hearing what each man has to say?
During a recent interview with AsTheWorldTurnsLeft.com, TNA founder Jeff Jarrett spoke about a number of topics, including TNA working with Mexico’s AAA promotion, his relationship with Kurt Angle and much more. One of the more newsworthy topic discussed was the business side of TNA and whether the company is profitable yet. Jarrett responded with a resounding, “Yes, absolutely.” When asked why there are still so many questions about the company’s financial stability, Jarrett said:
“The thing is, I totally respect that fact. Because as a businessperson, you look at the odds of any startup business lasting more than five years, the odds are extremely against it. And in the early years, no, we weren’t making money, and that was a completely legitimate question. But as time has gone on, we’re seen in more than 100 countries worldwide, translated into 14 languages, JAKKS with our action figures, our online presence, touring over 100 events a year, internationally I think we’ve gone to the United Kingdom four times with a tour. It’s a great time to be in TNA and continue to expand.”
Jarrett was then asked about the outspoken part of TNA’s audience that criticizes the product and never seems to be happy with what the company does. Jarrett responded:
“I’ll say this: Wrestling fans, you have to take the good and bad of [them]. Because No.1, they’re highly critical of everything you do; they like to be Monday morning quarterbacks. But that’s all part of professional wrestling. It sort of makes up the uniqueness of our business. Along with that, I’m fine with them criticizing us and saying we should do this or do that. But from a business side of things, like you’re saying, when misinformation gets out, it’s not conducive for anybody when you put out total mistruths. But, hey, we’ve learned to accept it and move on. We worry about our bottom line, and let the chips fall where they may.”

Animal rights group PETA released the following press release and video starring WWE star Daniel Bryan, who urges children to eat a vegan diet:
WWE SUPERSTAR DANIEL BRYAN SLAPS THE LEBELL LOCK ON VEGAN STEREOTYPES IN NEW PETA2 AD
Master of Technical Wrestling Says That His Vegan Diet Keeps Him in Prime Fighting Shape
Las Vegas — “As a WWE Superstar, staying healthy and having a lot of energy helps me succeed in the ring—that’s why I choose to be a vegan,” says Daniel Bryan in his brand-new pro-vegan ad for peta2, PETA’s youth division. At 198 muscular pounds, Bryan is in the best shape of life—and he says it’s all because of his plant-based diet.
In an exclusive Q&A with peta2, Bryan explained that chronic health problems since childhood led his doctor to suggest that Bryan go vegan. Now, a year later, Bryan says, “[T]his whole year, my energy levels have been great. … I’m stronger right now than I’ve ever been … I’m dead-lifting more than I ever have before.”
And Bryan’s diet isn’t just good for his health—it’s also good for the environment. “[I]t only makes sense to save the planet that you stop eating meat because it … produces so much carbon dioxide,” he explains. “[T]here’s not enough resources for everybody to eat meat.”
Why else is a vegan diet the diet of champions? Vegans can get all the protein that they need from plant-based foods without the artery-clogging saturated animal fats and cholesterol found in meat. The consumption of meat and other animal-derived products has been strongly linked to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. In addition to greenhouse-gas emissions, meat production is also a leading cause of water pollution and land degradation. And, of course, the best way to fight the cruelty of factory farms and slaughterhouses is to kick the meat habit.
Daniel Bryan joins a long list of athletes—including Mac Danzig, Jake Shields, and Rich Roll—who have teamed up with peta2 to promote a vegetarian diet.

M.V.P. talks about meeting the late great Macho Man Randy Savage and his subsequent interaction with him:
M.V.P. gets his “herr deeid”:
Prior to WWE, MVP was known as “Antonio Bank$”. For the now defunct IPW independent promotion, “Antonio Bank$” faced “The Modern Miracle” Steve Madison, at the “Blood Sweat & Beers” IPW reunion show. This is MVP in his earliest form:
TNA star Jeff Jarrett spoke with Dan Lovranski of The LAW for a half-hour this past weekend discussing the issues with TNA creative, the departure of Mick Foley, his program with Kurt Angle and much more. The entire interview is available at by clicking here and below are some highlights of the interview:
Using his children in the program with Kurt Angle:
“That’s the part that people have really voiced their opinion very very strongly, and it’s their prerogative to voice their opinion, but I’ve literally lived this. My parents were divorced when I was three-years old because of this business. So I’m very aware of a child’s feelings. People can judge all they want, but I know what kind of father I am, I know what kind of mother Karen is, I know what kind of parents we’re all are and I understand better than anybody where the kids’ heads are at. So it was a very understanding situation and you know I take the criticism but also understand, I take it with a grain of salt because you have to walk in my shoes or Karen’s shoes or Kurt’s shoes to fully understand the situation.”
Discussing those that have been critical of the creative team within TNA:
Keep being as critical as possible because it is absolute proof that you are watching in some shape, form or fashion. We’re never gonna please everybody and I know that. When I say that I speak from experience, and I literally mean that, I can remember as a kid going to matches when I broke into the Tennessee territory. Instead of online chats and the internet and that kind of stuff, there used to be a group of anywhere from 50 fans to 150 fans to who knows at times hanging out at the back gate. They would be raising hell bitching, complaining and saying “How come this guy didn’t do this? How come this guy didn’t do that?” Back in that day professional wrestling was perceived on a different level, but there have always been very vocal critics of professional wrestling and one thing that I learned and I learned it from my grandmother was the most vocal critic is the one that never ever missed a Monday night or a Tuesday night in Louisville or a Wednesday – they never missed. Well I know that we’re not gonna always bat one thousand not even close but we’re gonna keep attempting and keep trying to hit the home run, keep trying to keep the ball in play and know going in that we’re always gonna make mistakes. But at the end of the day, we’re gonna stay focused and do the very best we can and when you’re on the top rated show on your network, which we are at Spike you’re doing something right.”
Mick Foley’s departure from TNA recently:
“You know I’ve seen this happen countless times. There comes a point when you have employer/employee. When the employee comes to basically a fork in the road in their business life, if they have the ability to move on and don’t need the paycheck anymore and feel like they can’t work under these conditions anymore such as Mick, he moved on. My hat’s off to him, the a guy didn’t stick around and be disgruntled. If he wasn’t happy, it was time for him to move on. The worst thing a talent can do is stick around and just let things fester. Because they need the paycheck they stay, but they’re miserable, which isn’t doing anybody good, it’s doing everyone a disservice themselves included and life’s too short. If you’re not happy with the situation, move on. If you’re unhappy with it, be constructive about things and try to make a positive change, and realize that you’re not the ultimate decision maker and move on. I’ve got an immense amount of respect for Mick Foley. We go back basically he came to Tennessee in 1988, and I got started in 1986 so we go back man years. I respect his as a performer immensely but more as the person that he is.”
The recent passing of Randy Savage and his work in Memphis with the Jarrett family:
The Poffo family and the Jarrett family have a long and storied history. There were some very heated situations back in the early 80’s and then Randy came to work for my family’s promotion. In the mid 80’s when the WWF was plucking all the top stars out of every territory, Randy walked in and said that he was going, but he offered to stay as long as needed to “do business” on the way out. That’s something that my family certainly never forgot. My grandmother spoke very highly of Randy, my Dad and obviously I do. The in-ring performer that Randy was and the “it” factor and the charisma, everyone knows that side of it. But Randy was a man’s man, and you know, obviously tragic news, but I can’t say enough good about Randy. I really, really can’t – professionally and personally.

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was interviewed this week by Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca of the Busted Open radio show to promote his new “outdoor lifestyle” (hunting) show.
Here are some highlights of what Shawn said about:
His Classic Feud With Chris Jericho & How It Influenced The PG Era:
“Me and Chris (Jericho) would bury ourselves in the writer’s room…..just continue to add and we didn’t have any direction and I guess that my point, and I guess we just sort of said it ourselves and went from there. The process was phenomenal, thought the angle was phenomenal and truthfully we were the reason the PG thing came down and I bled like a stuck pig, there where people wanted to sponsor something and they saw me bleed like a stuck pig, they left and there was no more of that stuff.”
His reconciliation with Bret Hart:
“It was very genuine. He and I, we had been texting each other. I can’t give you a time frame. Some time before that you know me and Tyson Kidd were talking…Holy Cow! This whole thing needs to end. Tyson had passed his number along to me. And he and I had been texting, but not getting in to any detail, but we were testing the waters, like ‘Hey, we can do this, it’s been a long time and it sucks and its time to end to end it.’ We saw each other at Raw, we asked each other, but we didn’t talk about what we were going to do out there. But we did get to have a very long chat about everything and look the man in the eye and tell him I was sorry, for being a pain in his back side and it was very genuine. We have since texted one another, I think we will see each other again next week up in Stanford doing something. It’s been very nice and its been a great weight lifted off our shoulders….it was important to us and it was important to the people that saw it.”
John Cena As The Face Of WWE:
“I think John does a great job…..it’s gonna be impossible not to be partial to John. Because I like him and I like him because he is a good guy. He is the hardest working guy in that company. There isn’t anyone who puts in more time then John Cena. The only thing that works against John, and I tell you this with love…..you hardcore guys just decided to dislike him.”
Staying Loyal to WWE and Vince McMahon:
“There where times when I was going threw my very tough times, just let me go, just let me go. He would say ‘No, look you would be miserable, they wouldn’t do with you what needs to be done.
