  • Gail Kim Responds To Melina’s Bizare Video

If you haven’t been following this story over the past few days – we’ve got a new twitter beef underway in the WWE universe between Melina and Gail Kim.

Earlier this week, Melina wrote on Twitter to Gail Kim:

“@gailkimITSME You’re totally a Horrible Friend! I’m emotional Bcuz you made me this way! I’m a product of my environment BIOTCH! ;)

Gail Kim responded to Melina, writing:

“Good morning..wow a good nights sleep and a direct flight.:) and I’m NOT a horrible friend! @realmelina is emotionally unstable!”

“Haha it seems like from ur comments people, u r falling for @realmelina s “nice” side. Trust me I did too! I guess ull just have to experience her “emotional” side to understand…:(“

Melina responded to Gail Kim’s claim that she is “unstable” by posting a rather bizare video, telling Gail Kim, “I may be that, but at least I’m not a horrible friend! Like you. And believe me, after these two weeks in Asia, if you thought I was crazy before, I’m going to be that much crazier when I get back.” She then says “love you” and blew her a kiss goodbye. The video also features on-screen text that reads “Kung fu time, SKANK!!!” and “B!otch No You Didn’t!!”

Gail Kim has now responded to Melina’s video, writing on Twitter:

“Haha it seems like from ur comments people, u r falling for @realmelina s “nice” side. Trust me I did too! I guess ull just have to experience her “emotional” side to understand…:(

All the negative people out there, its ok I know. Misery loves company. I feel sorry 4 u…but good news, @realmelina would love ur friendship! :)”

  • Evan Bourne vs. Sin Cara Booked For RAW Next Week

As previously reported, Monday’s there were technical difficulties that affected the voting results during Monday’s “Power To The People” episode of WWE RAW.

During the match to determine who would face Evan Bourne, many people (including Bourne) were surprised to see that Mason Ryan received the most votes – when fellow high-flier and fan favorite Sin Cara seemed like the logical opponent. It turns out – once the voting was properly counted – 90% of the fans did in fact vote for Sin Cara to face Evan Bourne.

In light of the technical difficulties, WWE is giving the fans what they voted for next week. The WWE website posted the following statement on Tuesday:

“During Monday’s Raw broadcast, WWE fans were given the option to text A, B or C to 46993 (GOWWE) in order to decide what they wanted to happen on the show. Things went perfectly at first when text votes selected Kelly Kelly (option B) to take on Brie Bella for the Divas Championship. However, our vote tabulating provider’s system became overwhelmed, causing these votes to definitively affect the following contest, in which Mason Ryan (also option B) was voted into a match against Evan Bourne — even though, as it was later discovered, Sin Cara had received 90 percent of the total votes in WWE.com’s Live Chat poll, and should have been Bourne’s opponent.”

  • RAW Ratings, Live Notes From SmackDown Tapings

    – Monday’s 3-hour “Power To The People” edition of WWE RAW drew a 3.1 cable rating, with the final two hours (RAW’s usual timeslot) drew a 3.3. Considering the fact that Capitol Punishment took place the night before RAW, a 3.3 is not a great sign coming out of that show.

The three-hour show averaged 4.75 million viewers with 4.03 million in the first hour, 5.03 million in the second hour and 5.1 million viewers in the third hour.

    – In a dark match that took place prior to Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings from Hershey, PA, Johnny Curtis defeated Tyson Kidd.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:

His New “Groundbreaking” Project: “I need to get back to doing my homework on the WWE project that I will soon be starting that I honestly feel will be one of the most ground breaking projects that the WWE or I have personally have ever done. It’s a fascinating DVD project that will be released later this year. More info as it can be made available.”

CM Punk Leaving WWE: “Big news out of MNR is that CM Punk is apparently leaving WWE after his MITB PPV main event in July in his hometown of Chicago with John Cena for the WWE Title. This quickly has become the talk of the business as Punk is arguably the best antagonist in the ring right now as his work Monday night in Baltimore indicated. Who knows what’s going to happen in Chicago? I certainly don’t. Would a Punk win change MANY things within WWE? Absolutely. Could Punk become a ‘lame duck’ WWE Champion? With question. Would John Cena have to carry the burden of being the guy who lost the WWE Title to a man who has nothing to lose and has publicly stated that he’s leaving WWE? Yes sir. Is Punk leaving the WWE forever? I don’t know as only @cmpunk can answer that one. ”

“This I do know…the storyline between CM Punk and John Cena/WWE between now and Money in the Bank PPV should be excellent TV and I’m excited and anxious to see how it all plays out as I’m sure are many other fans. I choose not to over examine the matter and simply enjoy MNR for what it is and what this matter means within the body of the program.”

Bourne is currently slated to be one of the top superstars featured on the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view, so expect him to get more television time in the coming weeks.

  • 3-Hour RAW Preview, Wellness Policy Change Upsets Talent

    – Tonight’s 3-hour episode of WWE RAW takes place from the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland and will feature a “Power to the People” theme.

Similar to the old Cyber Sunday pay-per-views, fans will be able to vote on match opponents and stipulations through WWE’s website and text messaging.

Smackdown talent is booked for tonight’s show as advertised names include World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, Christian, Kane, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Wade Barrett and Mark Henry.

The dark match main event that’s being advertised locally is John Cena, Big Show and Rey Mysterio vs. R-Truth, Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk.

    – WWE recently made a big change to the company’s Wellness Policy that has rubbed a lot of talent the wrong way. Drug tests will now include screening for synthetic marijuana, commonly known as “spice” or “K2.” These substances are made to simulate the experience of smoking marijuana and are currently legal in the United States.

Talent that tests positive for the synthetic [fake] marijuana will receive the same $2,500 fine that WWE levies for marijuana use. This has several WWE talents upset, since a number of superstars and divas started using ‘fake weed’ when WWE banned the real thing last year.

The ‘fake marijuana’ has been made illegal by some states and is considered a “drug of concern” by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

    – Former WWE Films president Joel Simon died on Sunday after battling pancreatic cancer for four years.

    – As we were covering here on the site last week, World Heavyweight champion Randy Orton’s status for Capitol Punishment was up in the air until just days before the event. Orton received his medical clearance on Friday and defeated Christian to retain the title.

    – Also at Capitol Punishment, WWE featured a President Obama impostor, played by comedian Reggie Brown. The fake Obama had a few backstage segments during the show as well as an in-ring segment where Booker T taught him how to do the spineroonie – which WWE announcers dubbed the “Barakaroonie”.

Reggie Brown appeared at a GOP convention on Saturday night and had to be pulled off stage during his set due to event organizers thinking he was going overboard with his racially-charged Obama-bashing jokes.

WWE had someone tweeting as the fake Obama during the PPV with the user name @WWEPresident.
