Explaining why Lee deserves fan applause, WWE cites the New Jersey rising from obscurity to fulfill her lifelong dream of being champion for the sports-entertainment organization. The counterpoint on why Lee should be booed is because “she is a devil woman.” Events of Lee wreaking havoc on Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Kaitlyn and other WWE cited are cited.

Tammy “Sunny” Sytch Reveals Sad Medical Diagnosis, Says Her Cancer Has Returned

While serving a 114-day jail sentence earlier this year for repeatedly violating her ex-boyfriend’s restraining order, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch’s prior contraction of human papillomavirus (HPV) developed into cervical cancer. After declaring in May that she was cancer-free following a hysterectomy, the 40-year-old revealed on Monday that she is not completely clear from the life-threatening illness.

Last night, Sytch worriedly wrote on her Facebook account, “Tonight is a very nerve wracking night for me…tomorrow, at 8 AM I have an appointment at my Oncologist’s office (thats my Cancer doctor) to do an exam to see if all of my cancer was removed…Im scared shitless, and very afraid that they’re going to tell me that I still have cancer cells in me, and that I’ll need mor surgery and/or radiation and chemo… Please say a prayer for me…. nothing ever scares me, but this really does,. not doing well tonight…

She added, “Headed to bed….gonna try to get some sleep…so nervous, i may not be able to…. say a prayer for me, and ill post what happens tomorrow…xoxo.”

The news was not good for Sytch. She stated on Facebook following the visit, “Just got home from the Oncologist…lets just say the diagnosis and prognosis are not good. Dont feel like going into details…very sad. I need a nap.”

She added, “This is not a rib.”

Sytch subsequently confirmed on Twitter that her cancer had returned while arguing with users—including the account of SEScoops.com—who criticized her for plugging her Amazon.com “Wish List” immediately following the somber announcement.

“F*** you…. my cancer isnt gone….im allowed to be depressed. drop dead for your ignorant remarks,” wrote Sytch to SEScoops.com’s Twitter account.

She stated to another user on the social media outlet, “Yeah, cancer reocurring is soooooo not serious…f*** off.”

Photos Of CM Punk & AJ Lee Together

CM Punk and AJ Lee are now dating, according to Mexican wrestling legend and former WCW Superstar Konnan.

Last month, “The Straight Edge Superstar” and the WWE Divas Champion were shown seated together at Wrigley Field during WGN’s broadcast of a Chicago Cubs versus Pittsburgh Pirates game. This naturally jump-started rumors online, especially on social media—some fans on Twitter have stated that they were blocked by Punk for mentioning Lee to him in messages.

Konnan learned of this tidbit from his source within the sports-entertainment organization. While addressing WWE happenings on the MLW Radio podcast, he stated, “I would also to say that I found that AJ Lee is dating CM Punk, I don’t know if that’s public knowledge.”

Punk had been romantically linked to former WWE talent Amy “Lita” Dumas as recently as last spring. Co-host Court Bauer asked Konnan, “He’s done with Lita?” He responded, “Yep.”

Konnan continued to dish on Punk, stating that some people in the company feel he has a “huge head.” Furthermore, the former Max Moon reveals that Punk once “hated” fellow top star John Cena for similar behavior.

“To me, it’s like, alright, you waited all this time to become a big star, and all those guys that had a big head, that you hated, like Cena,” said Konnan. “And now you have a big head. You need to bring your s**t down back to ground.”

He reiterated further, “I was told by my source in WWE that CM Punk has a big head and he’s conceited.”

This new episode of MLW Radio is available for free at MLW.com and on iTunes (search: MLW Radio), along with episodes featuring Chris Jericho, The Ultimate Warrior, Billy Corgan, Konnan, Carlito, Teddy Hart, Sean Waltman and many others—a new episode drops every Sunday.

WWE Network To Be Launched Early Next Year?, Goldberg DVD Review, Antonio Cesaro’s Swing

– WWE’s long planned cable could debut as early as early next year, according to sources within the sports-entertainment organization. One source specifically states that a target date is set for February 24, 2014, which is the day after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. While the date has yet to be confirmed by a second source, people in WWE are working under the assumption that the WWE Network will be launched within the first quarter of next year.

SLAM! Wrestling has published a review of WWE’s Goldberg: The Ultimate Collection DVD and Blu-ray, which the columnist labels “all action, no words.”

“The great question heading into this review was whether or not the Goldberg: The Ultimate Collection would at least contain some interview clips with Bill Goldberg that would provide some insight on his career,” states Matthew Byer. “Unfortunately, there are absolutely none and that is really a shame because Goldberg in the late 1990s was at times rivaling Steve Austin in terms of popularity.”

Bully Ray On Whether TNA Should Re-sign Hulk Hogan, How TNA Can Improve Its Product, His Prime, More

Promoting tomorrow night’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view evemt, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio, hosted by Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca (Busted Open Radio airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sirius 94 and XM 208), where he discussed a number of TNA-related topics. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

Whether Bound For Glory is the biggest pay-per-view in TNA history: “I don’t know, is it? When we go out there as wrestlers and we see seats in the arena not full, it worries us also but all we can do is go out there and deliver the best possible in-ring product we can. Once we go through that curtain, that’s when our jobs really start. I’m not the promoter of TNA, I don’t work in the front office of TNA, I’m not responsible for the advertising of TNA, I’m not responsible for the product awareness of TNA, that’s where TNA needs to grow and move forward as a company with bringing their product to the masses so people will want to come to the shows. Yes, there are empty seats but still if you concentrate on the in-ring product and you concentrate on what you see, it’s still entertaining.”

Coming into his prime: “No. I never think that far ahead. Not that I take things day-to-day, my success in the wrestling business never really shocked me. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I always knew that I was going to be successful and be part of one of the greatest tag teams and this and that, I just knew that I loved professional wrestling so much that I would have enough passion to make myself successful. I would have enough passion to do this for a long time and I’m going on my twenty second year now in the business. I’m proud of myself getting into the shape that I have got into, I’m proud of myself for doing something that not a lot of other guys can do which is come out of a tag team and have a successful singles career. I’m also proud of my ability to go in there which just about anybody on the roster and have a great match, great fight, a great speaking segment and proud for being able to entertain people for this long. I’m only stepping on the gas half way. I have so much more that I can bring to the table but it’s a different world we live in and its different time with wrestling and sports-entertainment these days. I think I can go further, I can be a lot more physical. There are a lot of things that I can do and I try to wait until the right time to do them. From the newest kid on the block to the guys that have been there forever and I have said this before, TNA has the best locker room in pro wrestling, best bunch of pro wrestlers slash sports entertainers out there. These guys are capable of so much. You want icons? We got (Hulk) Hogan and Sting. You want guys that are still in their prime? You can go with me or Jeff Hardy or Kurt Angle and then you got the work horses. The guys that carried the company from TV to house shows like A.J. Styles, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Gunner, (Frank) Kazarian, (Christopher)Daniels. You have the hottest women in the business that can wrestle. You got great X-Division stars. Anything you are looking for, you can find it.”

How can TNA improve its standing in the wrestling industry: “I have my opinion on that. I know as a wrestling fan what I would like to see TNA become. It’s strictly my opinion. I think the professional wrestling world is primed and ready for a more edgy product. An in your face, very realistic brand of pro wrestling. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying ECW all over again. It’s not what I mean. However, I am talking about bringing in bits and pieces of the greatest eras of pro wrestling. The NWA in the 80’s, ECW in the late 90’s, Attitude Era, the best times of TNA. Let’s cut and paste from the best times and let’s incorporate that into our product now, because I think people want a more mature product.”

Should TNA re-sign Hulk Hogan: “I would like to see Hulk stay with TNA. Two reasons: First for selfish reasons, I want to get him in the ring in the worst way, and kick him in his face. Secondly, Hulk is a great ambassador for pro wrestling and he can be a great ambassador for TNA. Do I see Hulk on TV every single week? No. Do I see Hulk in major storylines? No. But I think there is a place for the Babe Ruth in our industry. There is a place in the locker room as a part of this company. Mainstream media loves Hulk Hogan. You start saying Hulk’s name, people get interested. So I definitely think he would be a great person to keep around for those reasons. For the amount of money Hulk makes, he brings a lot of exposure. People are going to sit back and say “wait the ratings haven’t gone any higher and there is low attendance at house shows”. That’s not Hulk Hogan’s fault, that’s product awareness. That’s where I think our money can be spent a little better. Only in my opinion and my opinion comes from being behind the scenes at all the companies that I have wrestled in. Product awareness is number one. You can build a better mousetrap but if no one knows you have it, nobody is going to buy it. So I think if TNA can get their brand to the masses better, that’s when you will see the real change.”

His thoughts on the current Aces and Eights angle: “This has been the hand that was dealt. This is the way it is. I look at this situation like I look at any other situation in this business. You have two choices, you can fold or you can play it to the max. No matter what the situation is, I’m going to play it and I’m going to play it to win. What you see is me, Knux and Garrett. Everybody has been talking about how the Aces and Eights are folding. There is trouble in the Aces and Eights. They are imploding from within. Maybe that’s what I want you to think. Maybe on Sunday you’re going to see something completely different. I can make you believe what you want to believe. That is one of my gifts. Everybody thinks they know what’s going on. Everybody knows how the story is going to end. Everybody thinks they have seen the last of Aces and Eights. I would call the cable company and order Bound For Glory because you just might be shocked at what you see.”

Backstage Heat On “Total Divas” Star Eva Marie, Set Up To Fail By WWE Management On Monday’s Raw

As seen Monday night on Raw, Eva Marie made her televised wrestling debut as she and fellow Total Divas JoJo and Natalya defeated Alicia Fox, Aksana and Rosa Mendes in a Six-Diva Tag Team Match. The 29-year-old’s performance drew negative reviews online, as her inexperience was put on display before millions of viewers (prior to the match, she had only wrestled before a live crowd once, a non-televised tag team bout at SummerSlam Axxess in August). It has since come out that this reaction was sought within WWE as she was purposely set up to fail by members of management.

Dave Meltzer claimed on F4WOnline.com’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE officials wanted to knock the confident Californian down a few pegs, since they feel she has an undeserved ego and doesn’t realize how much she has to learn as a performer. Therefore, they had her sink on national television in hopes of making her humble.

This is not the first time in which Eva Marie, who F4WOnline.com reported in August as being “passionately hated” by some of her co-workers, was pranked in an inside manner.

In a segment filmed backstage at a spring Raw show for the August 4 episode of E! Total Divas, she was led to believe by company personnel that she had committed a wrongful act and that an infuriated Stephanie McMahon wanted to confront her over the matter (on the episode, the meeting was depicted as stemming from Eva Marie lying about her background in order to audition to be Fandango’s dancer, which was a fabricated storyline). During the blurred reality segment, McMahon threatened to fire her if she embarrassed the company again with her conduct. Eva Marie legitimately cried during the meeting, as she was not aware that the situation was orchestrated and that McMahon was fooling around with her through her character persona.

Vince McMahon’s Phone Number Digits Inadvertently Posted Online By WWE Employee

As seen Monday night on Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino was honored by the sports-entertainment organization as Jerry “The King” Lawler led Pittsburgh fans in singing “Happy Birthday” to the legendary wrestler (he celebrated his 78th birthday the previous day). Following his live appearance, Sammartino met with various WWE personnel and wrestlers backstage including Vince McMahon and Triple H. The Brooklyn Brawler, who works for WWE in a backstage capacity, tweeted a photo of his backstage encounter with Sammartino, and in a near ‘oops’ moment, almost inadvertently revealed a phone number belonging to the WWE Chairman and CEO.

As Brawler posed for his photo opportunity with “The Living Legend,” he stood in front of piece of paper (labeled “Vince’s Phone Number”) that had been posted on a wall disclosing all but the last three digits of McMahon’s phone number (which were not captured in the digital image, or were cropped out).

Vince McMahon

It should be noted that the first three digits of McMahon’s phone number, 412, serves as an area code in Pennsylvania, and was likely his office phone number for the night.

Brawler said of his meeting with Sammartino, “It was great to see @SammartinoBruno at #RAW this week, A true #living Legend #WWE.”

– NXT Diva Bayley is the profiled in the latest edition of the NXT 10-Count on WWE.com, where the California native answers 10 questions submitted by fans.

Bayley’s wrestling fandom inspired her to become a wrestler herself. She says of her path to WWE, “I’ve been wrestling for a little more than five years now. I went to my first live wrestling show when I was 12 years old for this independent promotion called Big Time Wrestling in Northern California. Since that night, I never missed a show of theirs. I knew once I was of age and my mom allowed it, I wanted to begin training with them. Once I did, I was wrestling there twice a week for more than four years before I got to come to NXT.”

The article features a picture of a young Bayley wearing a Team Xtreme T-Shirt. She says The Hardy Boyz and Lita, as well as “Macho Man” Randy Savage, The Rock, Lita, Eddie Guerrero, Ivory, Victoria and Triple H, are her wrestling inspirations.

Bayley says she would like to face former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory (when asked which past or present Diva she would like to face). “She was amazing in the ring,” said Bayley. “She would be a huge challenge and I could learn a lot from her. She was also one of the nicest people I’ve ever met – very happy and energetic.”

Bayley also talks hobbies, headbands and whether she would attempt to hug The Undertaker. To read the full interview, click here.
