  • AEW Star Flips The Bird at Vince McMahon’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame

AEW Star Flips The Bird at Vince McMahon’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame

One AEW star has given Vince McMahon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame the finger.

It’s no secret that some AEW and WWE stars have engaged in some banter on social media in a show of gamesmanship. Some of the back-and-forth exchanges are in jest while others are a bit more heated.

We’ll put this one in the fun category.

Max Caster of The Acclaimed is in Los Angles for tonight’s (June 1) AEW Dynamite show. He took to Vince McMahon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame and had a little “sign language” as Stone Cold Steve Austin used to say.

Vince received the Hollywood Walk of Fame honor back in March 2008. The honor was awarded to him for years of turning WWE into a TV success.

SEScoops will have you covered tonight with live results for AEW Dynamite from Los Angeles.

  • Adam Cole Injury Update

    Adam Cole Injury Update

It appears Adam Cole is a bit banged up.

Fans were a bit puzzled when AEW pulled Adam Cole and Jeff Hardy from a tag team match scheduled for the June 1 episode of Dynamite. While Hardy being removed was easier to see coming as he’s been noticeably hurt, that wasn’t exactly the case with Cole.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Cole has an injured shoulder. He’s getting some time off from in-ring action to heal.

The extent of Adam Cole’s shoulder injury is unknown at this time.

Cole competed in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup against Samoa Joe this past Sunday at AEW Double or Nothing. Cole scored the pin to capture the specially made championship and trophy.

Adam Cole has confirmed he will be making an appearance on Dynamite this week. He has called out Jirard “The Completionist” Khalil, a popular video game YouTuber and Twitch streamer.

  • Former WWE Star on Whether or Not He’ll Return to AEW

Former WWE Star on Whether or Not He’ll Return to AEW

A former WWE star recently made an appearance on AEW TV and he wonders if he’ll be brought back.

On the May 20 episode of AEW Rampage, Big Damo appeared as a mystery opponent for Shawn Spears. AEW was running a story where Spears portrayed himself as a giant killer en route to a steel cage match with Wardlow.

Spears ended up scoring the pin over Damo, who went by the name “Killian Dain” in WWE.

    Is Big Damo AEW Bound?

Big Damo appeared on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast and expressed his hope that AEW will give him another call.

“Everybody there was so enthusiastic, so you never know. If it happens, great. If it doesn’t happen, then at least I had a cool experience.

“So for me, I wasn’t sure if AEW was ever going to be on the table because they were the one company who never really got in touch when I first got released. I had heard maybe it was because I was having status issues when I first got released. But at the same time, you just start thinking, well, ‘I’ll go on, I’ll do whatever I can elsewhere, and maybe that opportunity can come one day.’”

Damo also said that AEW felt like WWE when it came to production values. He said that a key difference was that he didn’t feel he had to walk on eggshells during his AEW appearance.

  • Major Update on MJF’s Whereabouts Ahead of AEW Dynamite

Major Update on MJF’s Whereabouts Ahead of AEW Dynamite

Could things be taking a positive turn between MJF and AEW?

MJF was the talk of Double or Nothing weekend. Fans were left wondering if Maxwell would even show up at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for the show.

He failed to appear at a scheduled meet and greet on Saturday, forcing AEW to offer refunds and exchanges for those who paid to see MJF.

There was a later disputed report of a flight being booked for MJF out of Las Vegas. Ultimately, Maxwell showed up on Sunday and did the job for Wardlow at DoN.

He was stretchered out of the arena after the match.

MJF In The Area Of AEW Dynamite

PWInsider is reporting that MJF was seen at LAX on Tuesday afternoon. This week’s AEW Dynamite will be taking place in Los Angeles.

This could be a good sign as it was said that MJF and Tony Khan would be having a meeting in Las Vegas. Assuming they had the meeting, MJF’s presence in Los Angles could indicate that the face-to-face talk went well.

PWTorch reported that MJF was “in a bad place” on Saturday and had no business making a public appearance in the state he was in.

  • Update on Will Ospreay’s Health

    Update on Will Ospreay’s Health

There is some good news regarding the health of NJPW star Will Ospreay.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action as of late due to a nasty kidney infection. He was said to be in horrible shape just one week ago but things are going much better now.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reports that Will Ospreay has been released from the hospital and is doing considerably better.

Numerous big names in the wrestling industry sent their well wishes to Ospreay. Even Minoru Suzuki sent Ospreay a “take care” message, followed by a “f*ck you,” naturally.

There’s no word on when Ospreay will be back in action at this time.

  • WWE Cancels Travel Plans For Sasha Banks & Naomi

WWE Cancels Travel Plans For Sasha Banks & Naomi

There has been little to no movement in the WWE saga with Sasha Banks and Naomi.

Fightful is reporting that there hasn’t been much, if any, communication between the two sides. It’s been said in the report that WWE has canceled all of its planned travel accommodations for Sasha and Naomi.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions walked out of the May 16 episode of Raw. They had been booked to compete in a six-pack challenge.

PWInsider reported that Naomi was going to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship, while Sasha was going to face SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Creative differences were the reason cited for Sasha and Naomi bailing on the show.

The two were suspended indefinitely for their actions. WWE vacated the Women’s Tag Team Titles and announced a tournament to determine the new champions.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has reported that plans for the tournament are essentially “dead in the water.”

WWE has pulled all online merchandise for Sasha and Naomi and the two reportedly aren’t being paid during their suspension.

On top of that, WWE has taken several shots at the former Women’s Tag Team Champions on TV.

  • Real Reason WWE Superstar Missed May 30 Raw

Real Reason WWE Superstar Missed May 30 Raw

One WWE superstar didn’t make an appearance on Monday Night Raw despite being advertised.

That superstar in question is Lacey Evans. For weeks, WWE has been running vignettes of Lacey telling her emotional story.

She was advertised for a match against an unnamed opponent on the May 30 episode of Raw but never appeared.

    Reason Lacey Evans Missed Raw

Lacey Evans, who had been out of action for months due to pregnancy, took to her Twitter account to say that she is still “recovering.”

While Lacey didn’t show up on Raw, WWE made sure to keep her name in the minds of fans watching the show. The promotion ran a video showing her appearance at the Coca-Cola 600 this past weekend.

The vignettes that WWE has run for Lacey initially seemed to indicate she’s being poised for a massive babyface push. After all, she has told stories of overcoming tragedy to get to where she is today.

As it turns out, PWInsider has reported that Evans is penciled in as a heel on the Raw brand. Time will tell if WWE changes plans.

Hangman Page Issues Statement on Losing AEW World Title to CM Punk

Hangman Page is no longer the AEW World Champion and he’s spoken out following the loss.

In the main event of AEW Double or Nothing, Hangman went one-on-one with CM Punk. The action was held inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 29.

Near the end of the match, Hangman almost went to a dark place. He teased hitting Punk with the AEW Championship but decided against it.

His hesitation proved to be costly as CM Punk reversed the Buckshot Lariat into the GTS for the pinfall.

Hangman Page on Losing AEW Gold

Hangman Page no longer sits at the top of the AEW mountain and he’s taken to Twitter to issue the following statement.

“I’ve had a while to reflect on my time as AEW champion now that it’s come to an end. Thank you all, not for supporting me, but for supporting the vision.

“It’s not about the gold or the glory, it’s about the common love and dignity with which we treat each other.

    “Change the world.”

Hangman’s reign lasted 197 days. He captured the gold back in Nov. 2021 when he pinned Kenny Omega at AEW Full Gear.

This was the second shortest world title reign in the AEW World Title’s young history. Hangman was just the fourth AEW World Champion.

  • Update on Jeff Hardy’s Condition During AEW Double or Nothing

Update on Jeff Hardy’s Condition During AEW Double or Nothing

An update on Jeff Hardy’s condition during the AEW Double or Nothing PPV has surfaced.

The Hardy Boys took on The Young Bucks at DoN this past Sunday night and fans weren’t exactly left with an instant classic. In fact, many felt that Jeff look quite lethargic throughout the match.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is reporting that Jeff Hardy was a “mess” going into that match. It’s been said that Jeff’s Owen Hart Cup quarterfinals match with Darby Allin really did a number on him.

At one point in the match with Darby, Jeff went for a Swanton Bomb but Darby got out of the way and Jeff’s back landed right on the stairs.

Many have grown concerned with Jeff Hardy’s use in AEW.

Approaching the age of 45 in late August, Jeff is still allowed to do high spots that many agree he should not be doing at this point in his career.

It’s become quite clear that The Hardy Boys have been pulling out their greatest hits collection since they know this is their final run.

Becky Lynch Gives Nod To Chris Jericho During & After WWE Raw

“Big Time” Becky Lynch is a fan of what Chris Jericho has been doing as of late.

During the May 30 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Becky referred to herself as a “wizard.” This was a nod to Jericho, who has portrayed himself as a sports entertainer on AEW TV and is a self-proclaimed wizard, throwing fireballs at his foes.

After the show, Becky took to her Twitter account to give a shoutout to Jericho.

“’I’m a magician. I made her title disappear in 26 seconds’ – Becky Lynch, tonight.

    “I preferred that line.

    “No heat, @IAmJericho.”

Jericho has yet to respond but one is likely to assume that he’ll take great joy in seeing Becky’s nod.

Becky Lynch is set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell on June 5. This will be a triple threat title match with Asuka also involved.

As for Jericho, he is fresh off a victory at AEW Double or Nothing this past weekend. His faction, the Jericho Appreciation Society, defeated Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, and Santana & Ortiz in an Anarchy in the Arena match.

What Happened After May 30 WWE Raw Went Off The Air

Another episode of WWE Raw is in the books.

The May 30 episode of Raw was held inside the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The show featured a brawl between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins after Seth referenced Cody’s time in AEW.

There was also a non-title match between Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Asuka. Belair ended up winning the match with a rollup. After the match, Becky Lynch attacked both women.

The show ended with a contract signing between Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Omos. Despite a run-in from Cedric Alexander, the show ended with Lashley nailing Omos through a table with a Spear.

    Once Cameras Stopped Rolling

It’s been a running theme for WWE to have Cody and Seth wrestle once Raw goes off the air. Things were no different on May 30 in Des Moines.

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins did battle at least one more time before their Hell in a Cell match on June 5.

Cody emerged victorious in the dark match.

Seth Rollins References AEW on Monday Night Raw

Seth Rollins dropped some AEW references on the May 30 episode of WWE Raw.

Cody Rhodes cut an in-ring promo saying he was looking to hurt Rollins in their third encounter at Hell in a Cell on June 5. Rollins interrupted by appearing in the crowd with a microphone.

Referencing Cody Rhodes’ Time With AEW

During his promo, Rollins said Cody left WWE six years ago because he couldn’t cut it. He then said Cody “ran off with his little friends,” which was a reference to him helping build AEW with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

Rollins said when that didn’t work out for Cody, he came back to fulfill his father’s legacy.

Seth then mentioned the time Cody destroyed a throne resembling Triple H with a sledgehammer at Double or Nothing 2019. Seth said he’ll be damned if he lets Cody come back to WWE to take over the throne that he destroyed.

Eventually, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins got tired of talking and brawled until they had to be separated.

MJF & Tony Khan Expected To Address Issues Face-To-Face

Something has got to give in the MJF-AEW saga.

MJF was featured in the opening match of AEW Double or Nothing. He was ultimately squashed by Wardlow, paying off a long-term storyline. In story, the win has allowed Wardlow to sign with AEW.

The status of the match was very touch and go, however before Sunday night.

Maxwell didn’t fulfill his commitment to take part in a meet and greet on Saturday. PWInsider reported that this wasn’t a work and AEW officials attempted to contact him numerous times.

Fightful is now reporting that MJF and Tony Khan are set to have a sitdown meeting as MJF has stayed in Las Vegas despite claiming he quickly left the T-Mobile Arena following his loss to Wardlow.

AEW ran an angle where MJF was stretchered out of the arena at Double or Nothing. PWInsider reported that Maxwell isn’t expected to be on the road with AEW for the next several weeks, possibly longer.

There are many within the industry who believe that the MJF ordeal started as a legit issue but has turned into a work.

  • MJF Speaks Out Following AEW Double or Nothing

MJF Speaks Out Following AEW Double or Nothing

MJF has broken his silence following the conclusion of AEW Double or Nothing.

Maxwell was at the center of controversy throughout the weekend. AEW’s top heel failed to show up at a scheduled meet and greet during AEW Fan Fest.

This caused AEW officials to scramble at the last minute and offer refunds and exchanges to fans who paid for the session.

A flight was reportedly booked for MJF to fly out of Las Vegas before DoN but he stayed. The report of the flight booking has since been disputed.

Ultimately, MJF did show up to DoN and did the job for Wardlow in the PPV opener.

    What MJF Had To Say

Fightful was able to get in touch with MJF following AEW Double or Nothing. Maxwell said that he showed up just before his match began with Wardlow and immediately left after an angle was shot showing him being stretchered out of T-Mobile Arena.

He told Sean Ross Sapp that he has a lot to think about. He doesn’t know what decision he’ll ultimately make.

PWInsider had reported that MJF isn’t expected to be on the road with AEW for the next several weeks, possibly longer.

MJF’s contract with AEW is set to expire in 2024. It’s been said that Maxwell has had a bit of a strained relationship with Tony Khan as they aren’t as close as they once were.

  • Update on MJF’s Status Following AEW Double or Nothing

Update on MJF’s Status Following AEW Double or Nothing

MJF made a quick exit after AEW Double or Nothing and an update on his immediate future has surfaced.

The weekend of DoN was a hectic one for AEW officials. MJF and Samoa Joe failed to attend meet and greets but their situations couldn’t have been more different.

Joe didn’t attend Fan Fest because he was accidentally double-booked. He already had voice commitments during that time so he isn’t at fault.

MJF, however, no-showed the festivities due to lingering issues with AEW.

The situation was tense enough that Fightful reported there was a plane booked for MJF set to fly out of Las Vegas one night before Double or Nothing.

PWInsider later reported that the plane was indeed booked for Newark, New Jersey but MJF stayed in “Sin City.”

    MJF’s Future With AEW

MJF did indeed show up at DoN and was squashed by Wardlow in the opening match. An angle was then shot where MJF was stretchered out of the building.

PWInsider is reporting that MJF isn’t expected to be on the road for the next several weeks. That period could be even longer, the report notes.

Fightful also reported that MJF showed up at T-Mobile Arena just before the match and immediately made his exit after.

What Happened After AEW Double or Nothing Went Off The Air

AEW Double or Nothing is in the books and we have a new world champion.

The event emanated from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night (May 29). In the main event, CM Punk challenged Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship.

After a referee bump, Hangman teased nailing Punk with the gold. He had second thoughts and instead went for the Buckshot Lariat.

Hangman’s hesitation cost him as Punk countered with the GTS to pick up the win. He is now the new AEW World Champion.

    After The Show

When AEW Double or Nothing went off the air, CM Punk addressed the fans. He thanked his wife, April Mendez (AJ Lee). He also said he couldn’t have been a world champion in pro wrestling again without the fans.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR made their way to the ring to celebrate with Punk.

  • Opening Match For AEW Double or Nothing 2022 Revealed

Opening Match For AEW Double or Nothing 2022 Revealed

It looks like the first match on the AEW Double or Nothing 2022 card has been revealed.

AEW DoN will be taking place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight (May 29). An AEW World Title match is set between Hangman Adam Page and CM Punk.

There are plenty of other matches such as a three-team tag title match, an AEW Women’s Title match, and much more.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that opening the PPV portion of the card will be MJF vs. Wardlow.

“Double or Nothing pay per view is currently scheduled to be MJF vs. Wardlow.

“Young Bucks-Hardys is second, then Jade Cargill-Anna Jay. Anarchy in the Arena is two before the main event, which is Hangman-Punk.”

MJF vs. Wardlow is an interesting opener given the circumstances.

Maxwell no-showed AEW Fan Fest on Saturday. It was reported that AEW officials initially couldn’t contact him.

It’s been said that things got ugly between the two sides and there was a possibility that MJF could’ve taken a flight out of Las Vegas but ultimately stayed.

The AEW Double or Nothing PPV will begin at 8 p.m. ET.

  • WWE Advertising Money in The Bank Outside of AEW Double or Nothing Venue

WWE Advertising Money in The Bank Outside of AEW Double or Nothing Venue

WWE is hyping up its Money in the Bank PPV at the sight of AEW Double or Nothing.

AEW is in Las Vegas tonight (May 29) but WWE will make its way to “Sin City” on July 2. Double or Nothing takes place inside T-Mobile Arena, while Money in the Bank has been moved from Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Observant fan Sean Slate took notice of a WWE truck advertising MITB with Cody Rhodes front and center outside of the DoN venue.

In recent days, we’ve seen AEW President Tony Khan take a shot at WWE over moving MITB from a stadium to an arena. WWE has said they have moved to the “intimate confines” of the MGM Grand.

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Double or Nothing tonight. Many are wondering about the status of MJF, who no-showed a meet and greet on Saturday amid issues with AEW.

Hours before the show, he hadn’t arrived at the building but AEW has put back the hype video for his match with Wardlow on YouTube. As of now, the match is still scheduled to go on.

  • Very Latest on MJF, Is He In The Building For AEW Double Or Nothing?

Very Latest on MJF, Is He In The Building For AEW Double Or Nothing?

Tension is building just hours away from AEW Double or Nothing and MJF is at the center of it all.

This weekend has been a wild one for AEW officials to say the least. MJF and Samoa Joe weren’t present at AEW Fan Fest but their situations were quite different.

In Joe’s case, Sean Ross Sapp reports that this may have been the result of an accidental double booking. Joe already had commitments for voiceover work, so this was an error on AEW’s part.

With MJF, he flat out no-showed.

PWInsider reported that AEW officials initially couldn’t contact him despite attempts. Fightful followed that story up, reporting a flight out of Las Vegas was booked for MJF just one night before Double or Nothing.

PWInsider then reported that MJF remained in Las Vegas as he didn’t board the plane to Newark, New Jersey.

    Is MJF Inside T-Mobile Arena?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is reporting that as of about three hours before the AEW Double or Nothing Buy-In show, MJF has not been seen inside the building.

Furthermore, AEW has removed its hype video on YouTube promoting the MJF vs. Wardlow match scheduled for tonight. Earlier today, the company removed a tweet hyping up the match.

Reports have insisted that this is a very real situation between MJF and AEW. It’ll be interesting to see if something was worked out and AEW is milking it or if MJF’s status will truly come down to the wire.

Update: The video hyping up MJF vs. Wardlow has been put back on the YouTube channel.

  • Injured WWE Star Big E Removes Neck Brace

Injured WWE Star Big E Removes Neck Brace

In what could be a positive sign, Big E has been able to finally remove his neck brace.

During the March 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Big E suffered a broken neck. The former WWE Champion was given an overhead belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland on the outside.

Big E landed on his neck and was stretchered out of the arena.

The good news right away was that E was able to move all his extremities and there was no spinal damage. He was also initially told he wouldn’t need surgery but his C1 wasn’t healing as well as he hoped.

Big E was told to leave the neck brace on in hopes of avoiding fusion surgery.

It looks like there is reason to be optimistic as E took to his Instagram account to reveal he has been able to remove his neck brace.

We at SEScoops wish Big E a full and speedy recovery.

  • AEW Removes Tweet Advertising MJF vs. Wardlow For Double or Nothing

AEW Removes Tweet Advertising MJF vs. Wardlow For Double or Nothing

AEW has pulled a Twitter post hyping up MJF vs. Wardlow.

Tonight (May 29), Double or Nothing will take place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. AEW has been building a long-term storyline with MJF and Wardlow that is expected to be paid off tonight.

The problem is, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and AEW have been having major issues as of late.

Here is the tweet from AEW that has since been removed advertising the match:

For those who have been out of the loop the past 24 hours, MJF no-showed a meet and greet scheduled for the AEW Fan Fest on Saturday. PWInsider reported that initially, AEW officials couldn’t contact him.

Fightful later reported that MJF had a flight booked out of Las Vegas for late Saturday night. The report noted that it wasn’t known whether or not he’d actually board the flight.

PWInsider followed this up, reporting that MJF remained in Las Vegas and did not board the flight to Newark, New Jersey.

For what it’s worth, AEW has posted a hype video on its official YouTube channel for MJF vs. Wardlow within the past hour and as of this writing, that hasn’t been taken down.

  • Update on Samoa Joe Missing AEW DoN Fan Fest

Update on Samoa Joe Missing AEW DoN Fan Fest

MJF wasn’t the only one who didn’t attend the AEW Double or Nothing Fan Fest.

Fans grew concerned upon the news that MJF and Samoa Joe weren’t in attendance for the pre-PPV festivities. In MJF’s case, he no-showed seemingly due to some lingering issues with AEW.

In fact, Fightful reports that MJF has a flight booked out of Las Vegas before the PPV event. He has a big match scheduled with Wardlow that may not even happen. At this time, it’s unknown whether or not he’ll actually get on the plane.

As for Joe, things are a bit different.

Bryan Alvarez of F4W has reported that the reason Samoa Joe didn’t attend his planned meet and greet was due to a communication issue.

Sean Ross Sapp followed up Bryan’s report, saying sources indicated to him that Joe may have been accidentally double-booked.

Joe is scheduled to meet Adam Cole in the finals of the Men’s Owen Hart Cup at the Double or Nothing PPV tomorrow night (May 29).

Win or lose at DoN, Joe figures to be a major player in Tony Khan’s vision for Ring of Honor. Samoa Joe is the current ROH World Television Champion and he’s involved in a feud with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh.

  • MJF Remains In Las Vegas Ahead Of AEW Double Or Nothing

MJF Remains In Las Vegas Ahead Of AEW Double Or Nothing

UPDATE: PWInsider is reporting that MJF remains in Las Vegas despite being booked for a flight out of “Sin City” one night before AEW Double or Nothing. He did not board the plane to Newark, New Jersey.

    ORIGINAL:

It looks like the MJF-AEW situation has reached a boiling point.

Earlier today (May 28), MJF failed to show up to a meet and greet during a Fan Fest. PWInsider reported that this wasn’t a work and AEW officials couldn’t contact him despite several attempts.

In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has reported that MJF is physically fine and that he has a flight booked out of Las Vegas tonight.

The report notes that it isn’t known whether or not MJF will get on the flight tonight, just that it has been booked.

There is currently no word on why this flight was booked for tonight. It’s been said in the report that some within the company are “very unhappy” with how this situation has unfolded.

MJF has made it clear that he’ll be weighing his options once his AEW contract expires in 2024. He’s dropped several hints of testing the waters with WWE.

It was reported that MJF has been frustrated with his pay. AEW has reportedly been willing to negotiate a new deal but MJF hasn’t been receptive to those overtures.

While MJF has blurred the lines between performance and reality, this report seems to be as real as it gets.

  • MJF No-Shows DoN Meet & Greet, AEW Officials Unable To Contact Him

MJF No-Shows DoN Meet & Greet, AEW Officials Unable To Contact Him

There is yet another layer to the MJF-AEW madness.

Ahead of this Sunday’s (May 29) big Double or Nothing PPV event, AEW held a Fan Fest. MJF was scheduled to attend a meet and greet but he failed to do so.

PWInsider is reporting that MJF’s failure to appear was not a work. The report notes that Maxwell Jacob Friedman didn’t respond to AEW’s attempts to contact him.

One fan on social media claims he was spotted at a casino instead.

Fans who paid for autographs and photos for the MJF showing were offered refunds and exchanges.

Those who may be worried about MJF’s physical well-being can rest easy, at the very least. Sean Ross Sapp confirmed he is okay.

MJF is currently scheduled to take on Wardlow at the Double or Nothing PPV. The stipulation is that if Wardlow wins, he’s free from MJF’s contract. If he loses, he can never sign a deal with AEW.

Maxwell’s contract with AEW is legitimately coming due in 2024. The PWInsider report notes that some within the company feel MJF has been disrespectful to AEW President Tony Khan as of late.

There’s no word on if Khan, himself, feels this way.

MJF has dropped several teases that he’ll ditch AEW in favor of WWE when his contract is due. He’s even made those references on AEW TV.

Fightful’s Will Washington reported earlier this month that not too many people within AEW are on MJF’s side with how he’s been handling things behind the scenes.

It’ll be interesting to see if this situation impacts the Double or Nothing card.

Jim Ross Thinks One AEW Star Should Be Used More

Jim Ross believes that one AEW talent is rather underutilized.

AEW has a stacked roster. One criticism of the company has been that so many names are brought in that there’s no room for them on TV.

A good chunk of wrestlers are seen on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation as a result.

    Lance Archer Underutilized?

During an edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW play-by-play ace Jim Ross expressed his belief that Lance Archer could be used more on TV.

“Smart move by Tony Khan to bring Jake [Roberts] in. We have such a young roster that you can’t get too many mentors, coaches, or whatever you want to say. Tony did a good job with that. I liked the pairing of Lance Archer and Jake.

“I think Lance is one of the more underutilized guys in the wrestling business.

“Big, rugged son of a gun. Nice man, reliable. You can’t get too many Lance Archer’s on your roster, I can promise you that. I thought that was a smart hire, and it came out of the blue to me.

“I’m not involved in the hiring or firing of talent in AEW, nor do I want to be. I’ve done that and been there. I’m happy that Tony made that hire, and it was good for all of us.”
