Stephanie McMahon and Triple H’s Oldest Daughter Has Begun Wrestling Training

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H’s oldest child has begun in-ring training. According to comments Stephanie made to Talk Sport recently, Vince McMahon’s granddaughter has big ambitions in the sports entertainment business. Not only has she begun in-ring training, apparently she wants to be the boss of the whole company someday.

“We have three daughters, Triple H and I do, they are 15, 13 and 11,” Stephanie said. “Our oldest said when she was eight years old ‘Momma, I don’t want your job. Daddy, I don’t want your job. I want Pop’s [Vince McMahon] job.”

“So, just like her grandfather, she wants to be the boss so we’ll see what happens with my oldest daughter who has already started training in the ring.”

Stephanie continued to say that their youngest daughter is also very interested in getting into the business.

“My youngest daughter is also very interested but she is all about the personality [laughs]. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to see what she is going to do.”

Stephanie also noted during the interview that her husband is doing great following a cardiac event back in September. Triple H was recently spotted touring the new location for WWE headquarters as well. More on that story below:

  • MLW Announces “Open Door Policy” For Free Agents

MLW Announces “Open Door Policy” For Free Agents

Major League Wrestling announced today an “open door policy” for free agents. This is in response to the influx of wrestlers to the free agent market resulting from WWE’s frequent roster cuts and Ring of Honor’s announcement they will not be signing wrestlers to exclusive contracts moving forward.

MLW’s policy is being done to deliver potential dream matches.

“While the majority of MLW’s roster features contracted competitors, a percentage of each card will now feature free agents, ensuring exciting and unpredictable matchups,” reads an MLW press release.

This opens the door for several names from MLW’s past to return as well. The recently released Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (Shane Strickland) is a former MLW World Champion. Davey Boy Smith Jr. previously won the Opera Cup while in MLW as well.

The press release also includes comments from the promotion’s storyline matchmaker, Cesar Duran.

“Why allow your career to be at the mercy of the whims of a billionaire?” said MLW Matchmaker Cesar Duran. “I’ve always welcomed the hottest free agents to my arena. An open door policy gives MLW fans exciting dream matches against MLW’s best!”

Duran’s comments note that free agents can come in for one night, or stay long-term.

“Whether they fight one night or 10 years in MLW, the open door policy will showcase and give exposure to a wide variety of talent and create the best cards for fans while creating…. opportunities,” continued Duran. “Who will step forth? Let’s find out!”

    https://twitter.com/MLW/status/1462799099095392264

Between the 80 wrestlers released from WWE this past year and the entire Ring of Honor roster, there is no shortage of wrestlers who could take advantage of this policy.

  • Reason Why The Rock Couldn’t Appear At Survivor Series

Reason Why The Rock Couldn’t Appear At Survivor Series

Survivor Series last night was the 25th Anniversary of the Rock debuting in WWE. Highlights from his career were played throughout the show. There were also mentions of his movie, Red Notice, currently streaming on Netflix. Some people expected the Rock to appear live but according to comments by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it was not possible for him to be there.

“Dwayne’s out of the country and can’t come back. They’re doing a movie and they can’t go back and forth because of quarantine. There was no way he could be at the show tonight,” said Dave Meltzer.

“He was never advertised, they never told you, it was something that people built up in their imagination,” Meltzer continued.

“If he was advertised and wasn’t there, it’s one thing but he was absolutely not advertised, that’s the thing. There was never a chance he could be there. They never announced ‘oh, he’s in Europe, he can’t be there’ because they never advertised him in the first place.”

While the Rock wasn’t there, Vince McMahon filmed several scenes involving a golden egg that had been given to him by the Rock. This is related to the movie Red Notice. The angle will continue on tonight’s show with wrestlers from both RAW and Smackdown booked for the show.

  • Update On Booking Plans For Hit Row Before Release

Update On Booking Plans For Hit Row Before Release

Every member of WWE’s Hit Row stable have now been released. B-Fab was released earlier this month and the remaining members were cut on Thursday. According to comments made by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE contacted them 4 times on Thursday with different booking plans and then finally with news that they were being let go.

“Thursday, they’re first told that they’re going to be on Smackdown, Survivor Series, and RAW, because obviously everyone is on RAW (for the stolen egg angle),” said Dave Meltzer. “Then they’re told they’re off all 3 shows. Then they’re called again and told they’re back on all 3 shows and then the next call they get is ‘they’re fired’. This is all on Thursday.”

Meltzer continued to say that AJ Francis (aka Top Dolla) was seen as the potential star of the group. When he began to rub people the wrong way backstage, it may have led to the entire faction being released.

“AJ Francis did rub people the wrong way,” Meltzer continued. “Which I think doomed everyone.”

“He’s the one that Vince thought was the star, the other ones just came along with the package.”

“They thought that AJ Francis was the star, because he’s the big guy and big personality,” Meltzer continued.

Rhea Ripley Says Tegan Nox Helped Saved Her WWE Career

Tegan Nox was let from WWE this month after spending 4 years with the company. Rhea Ripley recently spoke with Talk Sport and mentioned about how Nox helped save her WWE career. According to Ripley, her name was on the list of people who could get fired when her and Nox put on a stellar match at the Performance Center.

“There was a time at the Performance Center where my name was on the list to get fired and I’d only been there for a year,” Ripley said.

“I don’t know why my name was on the list, I guess people just didn’t like me at the time. It is what it is – I changed their mind! But I was on the chopping block and I had a PC live match in front of all our peers and it was against Tegan.”

“One of the guys found out I was on that list and he told her – he didn’t tell me because he knew I’d freak out – but he told her and was like ‘look, you’ve got to make Rhea look good because this might be her last match here otherwise.’ And that’s exactly what she did,” Ripley continued.

    Rhea Ripley and Tegan Nox

Ripley also mentioned that Tegan also helped propel her career by chance when she was injured during the Mae Young Classic. As a result of Tegan’s injury, Ripley moved on in the tournament and had a great match with Io Shirai.

Tegan Nox signed with WWE in 2017. She missed the Mae Young Classic that year because she tore her ACL. In the 2018 Mae Young Classic, she suffered a a torn ACL, MCL, lateral collateral ligament, meniscus, and patellar dislocation during her match with Rhea Ripley in the quarter-finals.

Sasha Banks Recalls Attending Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show Before Learning Of His Death

Sasha Banks’ love for Eddie Guerrero has been well documented. Recently on Ariel Helwani Meets, however, she detailed attending the tribute show to him filmed the day he died. Banks says she only learned of Guerrero’s passing upon arriving at the arena that night.

Guerrero passed away on Sunday, November 13th, 2005 and WWE taped both a RAW and Smackdown episode that night dedicated to him. The show took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Banks was living at the time.

“I was so excited to go to that show. All I wanted to do was to show Eddie Guerrero my sign,” Banks said.

“I remember going into the arena and I saw all these signs that said ‘Rest in Peace, Eddie Guerrero.’ I was so confused. I was like, ‘Well, maybe Minneapolis doesn’t like Eddie because it was advertised as Eddie Guerrero vs. Undertaker, which I just assumed everybody loved The Undertaker,” Banks continued.

“A fan came up to me and he told me that Eddie Guerrero passed away that night and everything inside of me just broke. I couldn’t believe that my hero passed away.”

Banks would have been 13 at the time.

“I was in my mom’s arms just bawling. I couldn’t believe it,” Banks recalled.

Last weekend’s Full Gear show took place on the anniversary of Eddie Guerrero’s death in the city that he died in.

Eddie Guerrero was 38 years old at the time of his death. The cause of his death is listed as heart failure due to underlying atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Eddie was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2006.

Former Impact World Champion Josh Alexander was cutting a promo when JONAH’s new music hit and he attacked from behind. Security came out to stop the big man, but they were tossed around for their trouble as well.

Alexander began to splt up blood after taking a big splash off the top rope.

Footage of JONAH making his big debut can be seen here:

    JONAH’s Road to Impact

JONAH has kept active since his release from WWE earlier this year.

JONAH was rumored to debut for Impact at October’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view. However, it is believed that visa issues prevented that appearance.

Tony Khan: Anyone Signing With WWE Is Not Signing A Real Contract

WWE contracts typically allow the company to cut a talent whenever they see fit (provided there isn’t a no-cut clause in the contract). A wrestler is typically unable to quit working for WWE whenever they see fit, however.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan said that anyone signing with WWE these days are only signing a temporary arrangement, not a real contract.

“Anyone who signs a contract (with WWE) these days, is not signing a real contract. It’s a temporary arrangement. People who come wrestle with me, a lot of these people are frankly lifers and they know that,” Khan said.

The AEW President also noted that there is far more job security working as a talent for AEW than there is in WWE.

“There is a lot more security with a contract here. I can’t say I’m going to extend every contract or bring every person back, but I also haven’t been doing mass layoffs.”

Khan also noted that he can’t sign everyone who WWE lets go. He’s had to be selective of the new names he brings in.

“I’ve been very selective in the people I’ve signed and every time there has been a mass layoff on the other side it’s terrible and I can’t say I would be able to take on every one of these people,” he continued.

In addition to the 80 wrestlers cut from the WWE roster this year, ROH has also announced they will not be putting talent under contracts moving forward into 2022. Khan and AEW have already signed longtime ROH veteran, Jay Lethal to a deal. Lethal will not be working ROH’s final shows of the year and has signed on full time with AEW.

  • Randy Orton To Hit Big Career Milestone At Survivor Series

Randy Orton To Hit Big Career Milestone At Survivor Series

Randy Orton will make history this weekend at Survivor Series. When Orton and Riddle step into the ring to battle The Usos, Orton will set the record for the most pay-per-view matches wrestled in WWE history.

Coincidentally, Orton is on the cusp of another big career milestone. He’s also one match away from setting the record for most matches wrestled on WWE Raw.

The Viper addressed these achievements on social media.

“I’ve never been one to keep records or stats throughout my career. Early on, it was laughable to consider in my profession you had ‘wins’ and ‘losses’. You certainly wouldn’t talk about it, with the boys much less fans. But I’m fortunate to have some fans (and friends) that have done just that, kept my stats. Not just wins and losses, but damn near everything you could think of!

It came to my attention that tomorrow at Survivor Series I’ll set a new record for most PPV matches by anyone in WWE history. The following night on RAW coincidentally, if I have a match, I’ll have had more matches on RAW thea anyone in history.

I saw this online, checked it, and it is true… kind of hard to believe, as it feels like I only started down in OVW yesterday.

I just wanna take a minute in light of these ‘stats’, and let everyone out there that’s ever supported me in any way know that I am thankful. I also know with all of my heart that I couldn’t have done it without you. Now on to my 15th Survivor Series…man time flies don’t it?”

John Cena commended Randy Orton for this “mythical” achievement. Orton’s former rival says he’s proud of him and called him an inspiration.

Randy Orton PPV and RAW Stats

Statistics like this can be difficult to track, but that hasn’t stopped various websites from attempting it. According to ProFightDB.com, Orton and Kane each have had 176 matches on PPV.

Cagematch.net has Orton’s PPV tally at 175, however. ProFightDB.com also has Orton listed as having wrestled 431 times on RAW and Kane 436.

There are several other databases that keep track of such statistics, and all of them differ from each other to some degree.

It’s unclear which database Orton used to check the statistics, but regardless, he will eventually become the wrestler with the most matches on both WWE PPV and RAW.

Top Dolla Posts New Track On His WWE Release: “In 90 Days I’m Everywhere”

Top Dolla was among the names cut from WWE’s roster yesterday. He wasted little time recording and posting a track about it.

Some of the lyrics to the track are below:

“They gave me 90 days pay and Ima take that / And I’m still taking over the game, no take backs”

“In 90 days, I’m everywhere / Tell ya favorite promotion that you want me there

I’m trynna take my talents all across the land and over to Japan just because I know I can

And if you’re AEW, ROH, IMPACT, New Japan, NWA, PWG, MLW, DDT, All Japan, [GCW and more] and you see me as somebody you trynna get on the dotted line / 89 days from now, I can sign”

    Top Dolla Released From WWE

B-Fab was the first from Hit Row to get released. She was cut from the roster earlier this month. Yesterday, the rest of the faction was released as well.

Top Dolla only had 7 matches in WWE. 2 on the main roster and 5 in NXT. The former NFL player and Army veteran defeated Cedric Alexander in Smackdown dark match on October 1st. He then teamed with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and defeated Daniel Williams & Dustin Lawyer on the October 22nd Smackdown. Hit Row looked to have just begun a rivalry with Jinder Mahal and Shanky on Smackdown before their release.

  • WWE Has Made A Strong Offer To Keep Johnny Gargano

WWE Has Made A Strong Offer To Keep Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano’s deal with WWE is said to be up on December 3rd, 2021. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, WWE has made a strong offer to keep him in the company.

“Johnny Gargano has not signed a new contract, but WWE is pushing very hard for him to do so and evidently made a very strong offer for him to stay here for a long time,” wrote Dave Meltzer.

Kyle O’Reilly’s deal with the company is also believed to expire around the same time as Gargano’s. There is no news on if WWE has made a strong offer to keep him as well.

Gargano and O’Reilly worked a dark match before Smackdown recently:

Gargano has been with the company since 2015. He is a former NXT Champion, 3x North American Champion, 1x NXT Tag Team Champion and the first Triple Crown winner in NXT history. He has been a major player in NXT his entire tenure with the company.

Gargano was also awarded the “Feud of the Year” award twice back-to-back from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. In 2018, his feud with Tommaso Ciampa won the award. Then in 2019, his feud with Adam Cole did the same.

Rich Swann and Willie Mack ran out to stop the beat down from going even further, however. Later in the show, Swann challenged Myers to a match this weekend at Turning Point.

Steve Maclin Qualifies For X-Division Title Match At Turning Point

The stipulation for this match was that if Maclin could defeat the Laredo Kid then he would be added to the X-Division championship match at Turning Point. And that’s exactly what happened. Maclin hit a spear followed by the Mayhem for All and got the 3-count. This means at Turning Point, Trey Miguel will defend his title against both Maclin and Laredo Kid.

Ace Austin Accepts Chris Sabin’s Challenge For A Rematch At Turning Point

Ever since Ace Austin defeated Chris Sabin, he’s been wearing a “I Beat Chris Sabin” t-shirt backstage. Sabin said if Austin really is the future of this company that he should accept his challenge for a rematch at Turning Point, and this time not have to resort to cheating to win. Austin accepted the challenge and a brawl broke out between them. Madman Fulton charged at Sabin, but Sabin moved out of the way and ended up locking the big man in a fridge.

Decay Continue To Haunt The Iinspiration Ahead of Turning Point Title Rematch

Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay defeated the Undead Bridesmaids this week but got quite a scare after their victory. Rosemary and Havok came out along with Crazzy Steve and Taurus and surrounded the Knockouts tag team champions. Instead of assaulting them ahead of the title match, however, Decay just wanted to send a message. They surrounded the scared champs and took their title belts, holding them up symbolically in front of them. We’ll see if Decay’s mind games pay off for them Saturday at Turning Point.

Chelsea Green Is Ready For Turning Point, W. Morrissey Challenges Matt Cardona

Chelsea Green was interviewed in the back about her upcoming match with Jordynne Grace for the Digital Media Championship at Turning Point. They were interrupted by W. A match between the two has since been confirmed for Turning Point.

Moose Assaults Eddie Edwards, Title Match Made A Full Metal Mayhem Match At Turning Point

Moose attacked Eddie Edwards ahead of their title match at Turning Point. Moose used chairs and set up a table but Edwards ended up getting the advantage in the brawl. He brought out a ladder and with Moose positioned on the table he looked to dive off of it and onto the champion. Moose scurried away in time, however. Later in the back, Scott D’Amore told Moose his title match with Edwards at Turning Point will now be contested as a Full Metal Mayhem match.

Doc Gallows Picks Up Win Over HIKULEO Ahead of Turning Point Tag Title Clash

At Turning Point, The Good Brothers will defend the Impact World Tag Team titles against Bullet Club’s Chris Bey and HIKULEO. This week, the two big men went one on one. After a gruelling match, Karl Anderson got up on the ring apron and distracted the ref. This allowed Gallows to rake the eyes and hit HIKULEO with his finisher. Will it be this kind of veteran craftiness that will help the Good Brothers retain at Turning Point? Or will Bullet Club leave with the belts?

Deonna Purrazzo Is Not Enthusiastic About Doing Interviews Right Now

Former Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo didn’t give much insight into what she’s been up to since losing her title to Mickie James. Kenny Omega will not be defending his AAA Mega Championship against El Vikingo at TripleMania Regia II on December 4th.

AAA was reporrtedly notified earlier this week that Omega will need to miss the show, according to the Wrestling Observer.

“AAA was told on 11/17 that Omega was getting surgery and wouldn’t be able to face El Hijo del Vikingo on 12/4 in Monterrey,” wrote Dave Meltzer.

“AAA we’re told does have an idea for a backup plan, but at press time it wasn’t finalized, but should be known shortly if it pans out.”

Omega is dealing with several injuries which will likely require surgery. These include an abdominal hernia, as well as shoulder and knee injuries.

Xavier Woods Hoping To Reunite with Kenny Omega & Adam Cole on G4

Xavier Woods is hoping to use his new gig on the rebooted G4 network to stage on-screen reunions with wrestlers unaffiliated with WWE.

Woods, Adam Cole, Tyler Breeze, and Cesaro previously streamed as Da Party. The group unofficially disbanded when Adam Cole left WWE and signed with AEW.

The King of WWE is now teasing that G4 would be a great place to reunite Da Party. We could also see other talent from outside WWE on that program.

“Being linked to WWE where anything can happen, G4 would be a great place to interact with other wrestling talent from anywhere,” Woods said to Cinema Blend recently.

Non-WWE Talent on Xavier Woods’ G4 Show

WWE will be producing Woods’ show on the G4 network.

“I’m hoping that it is a means to create more content with more people that you normally wouldn’t see us creating content with.”

“I’m not sure the ins and outs of things like that, but I am definitely hoping that we see a little bit of [holds up Adam Cole t-shirt]…some of that. So if we can re-link up with some Da Party stuff, that’d be great.”

Perhaps an avid gamer like Kenny Omega could show up Woods’ show.

  • Full Gear Does 2nd Best Buyrate In AEW History

Full Gear Does 2nd Best Buyrate In AEW History

2021 has been AEW’s best year on PPV in its short existence. According to Wrestlenomics, AEW Full Gear did the second best buyrate in company history behind only All Out, which featured CM Punk’s first match in 7 years. It is estimated to have done 145,000 buys.

“Sales of 145,000 buys worldwide for Full Gear would mean about $7 million in pay-per-view revenue before AEW’s split with distributors. If the average split to AEW is about 45%, then AEW would take about $3 million in pay-per-view revenue.”

All Out 2021 is estimated to have done 205,000 PPV buys, the most in company history. AEW Double or Nothing did approximately 134,000 buys this spring according to the Wrestling Observer. However, Wrestlenomics has that number as closer to 115,000. Revolution this February featuring the exploding barbed-wire death match drew an estimated 125,000 buys.

Previous AEW PPV buys via Wrestlenomics:

    • Full Gear 2020 – 85,000
    • All Out 2020 – 90,000
    • Double or Nothing 2020: 105,000
    • Revolution 2020: 90,000
    • Full Gear 2019: 80,000
    • All Out 2019: 88,000
    • Double or Nothing 2019: 98,000

Based on these numbers, it seems AEW’s PPV audience has grown significantly in 2021. The four biggest PPVs in company history have all taken place this year.

CM Punk & Hangman Page sang together after AEW Dynamite (Video)

CM Punk and Adam Page came out for a segment after AEW finished taping last night from Norfolk, Virginia.

Punk and Hangman were in the ring, when Punk requested that the champ sing, “Cowboy Songs.” The fans weren’t super enthusiastic about songs being sung about “West Virginia” however. In response, Page changed the lyrics slightly.

Video of this was posted to YouTube in the video below:

AEW also taped Rampage following the conclusion of Dynamite last night. That show will air on Friday night. Matches confirmed for Friday’s show include:

    • Darby Allin vs. Billy Gunn
    • Adam Cole & Bobby Fish vs. Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus
    • Jade Cargill vs. Red Velvet (TBS Title Tournament match)

Here’s another video of the singing that took place after Wednesday’s Dynamite from Norfolk, Virginia:

Announced for next week’s episode of Dynamite from Chicago include Bryan Danielson facing Colt Cabana, a TBS title tournament quarterfinal featuring Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter, and The Lucha Bros, Cody Rhodes and PAC vs. FTR, Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black.

CM Punk’s return to Chicago next week should also be interesting. On Dynamite last night, Punk confronted Maxwell Jacob Friedman leading to a “Holy S**t” chant from the live crowd. Punk didn’t say a thing, however, he just walked out on MJF after he offered a handshake.

Ric Flair Says WWE Is Erasing His Legacy, Won’t Return His Title Belts

Ric Flair says that WWE is erasing his legacy. He also says that the company has not returned two title belts which belong to him.

Flair says he’s asked the company twice to return the belts but his requests have apparently fallen on deaf ears. He wrote on Instagram,

“Speaking Of Legacies, WWE Has Decided To Erase Mine. That’s All Good, However, These Two Belts Are My Legacy, And I Would Like Them Returned! I’ve Asked Twice, Apparently Falling On Deaf Ears! I’m Assuming That Next Week On Ric Flair WOOOOO Nation Uncensored I’ll Have To Explain In Detail! WOOOOO!”

    Ric Flair Fired Up

Flair put out the following Tweet recently regarding the upcoming match at Survivor Series between his daughter Charlotte and Becky Lynch.

Lync then responded to Flair while appearing on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.

“It’s really sad, because this is a legend at one point, Ric Flair is now jealous of me, it’s cool for me, he’s now using me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things,” Lynch said.

Flair then responded to Lynch’s comments by noting that he gave up his trademark claim on “The Man” so that WWE could allow Lynch to use it.

  • Kenny Omega Injury Update & Timeline For Return

Kenny Omega Injury Update & Timeline For Return

Kenny Omega announced on Dynamite that he’s taking time away from AEW. The former AEW World Champion told the Elite, “I feel like there is things I gotta fix and there is things I gotta change and I can’t do it here.”

Omega has been working through multiple injuries over the past few months. He’s set to undergo multiple surgeries, according to the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

“He has a lot of different issues, knee, shoulder, abdominal hernia that he’s been working through,” said Dave Meltzer. “There’s others too. He’ll be getting multiple surgeries, most likely. “Everything is kind of to be determined.”

Meltzer added, “I guess the idea is to try to get as many of these things taken care of at the same time but that’s a lot of body parts to rehab at the same time.”

The man once known as the Belt Collector is now down to just one championship. Omega is advertised to defend his AAA Mega Championship against El Vikingo on December 4th. It remains to be seen if he’ll be able to fulfill this obligation.

    When will Kenny Omega return?

Kenny Omega will be out of action through the end of 2021. The exact timeline is unknown. He hasn’t gone under the knife just yet, but there’s hope within AEW that he’ll return by February 2022.

AEW broadcaster Jim Ross commented on Omega’s condition on the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast. Ross said it’s crucial that top talent get time to rest up and heal. Omega dropping the title to Hangman Page is the perfect opportunity to rotate him out of storylines so he can focus on his health.

Roman Reigns Comments On Potentially Facing The Rock

While the Rock has shut down the rumor that he’ll be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania next year, the hope is that the match will still take place at some point.

Reigns addressed the potential matchup this week during an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. When asked if he’s interested in wrestling his cousin, the Tribal Chief gave a straight-forward response.

“I would, yes, I don’t know if he wants it,” Reigns said. “That’s kind of something we do in our family as far as sports entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE. This is our platform, this is our family business.”

He added, “I fought one of my cousins, the Usos, Jey Uso, about a year ago. Where better to solve problems than the squared circle?”

Reigns also said he hadn’t heard any rumors that the Rock would be at Survivor Series this weekend. The event marks 25 years since Rocky Maivia’s 1996 WWE debut.

    Roman Reigns and The Rock

The Rock recently stated that the dream match will not be taking place at next year’s WrestleMania.

“There is no truth to that right now, possibly down the road we will see,” Rock said to Andrew Freund of Dish Nation. “We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns, and I’m very happy and very proud of the work that he’s doing.”

Roman Reigns and The Rock wrestling each other at WrestleMania 38 looks unlikely. There’s always WrestleMania 39, which takes place from Los Angeles in 2023.

  • Big E Wants To Open The Forbidden Door Between AEW & WWE

Big E Wants To Open The Forbidden Door Between AEW & WWE

Big E would love to see wrestlers from AEW and WWE walk through the “Forbidden Door” and appear on each other’s programming.

The reigning WWE Champion discussed the ‘dream scenario’ during an appearance on Barstool’s My Mom’s Basement podcast with Robbie Fox.

“I have friends over there,” Big E said of AEW. “I have people who I think are incredibly talented, might not be friends, but I’m a fan of so much that is going on over there.”

Big E addressed the tribalism that exists between WWE and AEW fans. He’s not a fan of loving one and hating the other, but he’s glad people are engaged.

“I know fans love the sniping and love the back and forth, I think it’s often entertaining too. It’s not really my cup of tea because there are so many people I root for over there and I think competition is great for everyone, all around. I’m glad fans are engaged. It’s not my thing, but do you. People love pot-stirring and it’s interesting.”

Will we ever see a WWE vs. AEW crossover?

“I don’t know if it’s ever feasible, but is that forbidden door going to be open here, between us and them? Imagine that. That would be incredible.”

    – Big E on a WWE vs. AEW Crossover

For now, we’ll have to settle for Raw vs. SmackDown. WWE Champion Big E battles Universal Champion Roman Reigns this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series.

Check out the My Mom’s Basement YouTube channel to see Robbie Fox’s recent interviews with Jon Moxley, CM Punk, Tony Khan and Liv Morgan.

    WWE & AEW Working Together

The prospect of WWE and AEW working together seems far fetched, but that hasn’t stopped the industry’s most influential power players from talking about it.

When Triple H was asked about WWE possibly participating in a talent-sharing arrangement with other organizations, he said that WWE is “open for business.”

“Are we open to the right business opportunities? Yeah, at any given time we’re open to things. It just depends on what they are and if they’re beneficial to us in the long-term,” Triple H said.

“Open for business, I think Vince says that a lot and I’ve been around him long enough that if it’s the right thing and meaningful to business, he’s open to anything.”

Becky Lynch Watches AEW: “Competition is Great”

Becky Lynch revealed this week that she watches AEW and is happy that wrestling fans have an alternative product to watch.

“Competition is great,” she told Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour podcast. “It’s great for the creative because I think it drives everybody. I think Vince McMahon works incredibly well when he’s pushed by competition. I think for the stars it gives options.”

She likened the WWE or AEW choice to food preferences. If you don’t like vanilla ice ream, you can have chocolate. If you don’t like strawberries, you can have butterscotch.

“There’s options for fans, for wrestlers, and yeah it’s great.”
