Mariah May Plans NSFW Celebration if she Beats Toni Storm at AEW All In

Mariah May has stirred up a fair amount of excitement ahead of her upcoming championship match at AEW All In. The rising star recently revealed her unconventional plans for a post-match celebration, promising a “no bikini” celebration if she defeats Toni Storm to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.

The Road to AEW All In

Mariah May is set to face Toni Storm at Wembley Stadium in London tonight on August 25th, 2024. Since joining AEW last November, May has quickly made a name for herself, initially aligning with Toni Storm. Their partnership, however, took a dramatic turn when May turned on Storm, setting the stage for their intense rivalry leading up to this contest.

Mariah May’s Celebration Plans

In a recent interview with Fightful, Mariah May hinted at her unique plans for celebrating a potential victory over Toni Storm. Drawing inspiration from Shawn Michaels’ iconic Playgirl photoshoot and Mandy Rose’s NXT Women’s Championship celebration, May teased that she might celebrate her win with “no bikini.”

A New Chapter for Mariah May

If Mariah May emerges victorious at AEW All In, it could mark the beginning of a new chapter in her wrestling career. Not only would she claim the title of AEW Women’s World Champion, but she would also solidify her status as one of the most daring and entertaining talents in the industry.

AEW All In Rumors: Shane McMahon, Ricochet and more

As AEW All In approaches, speculation about potential signings and matchups is at an all-time high. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest rumors surrounding the event.

Michael Oku

One of the hottest topics is the possible signing of Michael Oku, a standout talent from the British wrestling scene.

Oku, who currently holds the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship at Revolution Pro, has been rumored to be in talks with AEW.

Although Oku expressed excitement about the rumors during a recent podcast interview, he confirmed that no deal is currently in place.

Oku hinted at the possibility of performing at Wembley Stadium, a dream for many wrestlers, but remained non-committal about any concrete plans with AEW.

The Young Bucks’ Cryptic Message

Adding fuel to the fire, The Young Bucks recently sent out a cryptic message on social media. The Bucks noted on the bio for their X account that they are: “Engagement farming feed. You either hate us, or you really hate us. Full-time part-timers. Could’ve retired after our ROH run. Your EVPs.”

Whether this feeds into their match at All In remains to be seen, but they are set to face FTR and The Acclaimed.

Ricochet and Shane McMahon

Former WWE Superstar Ricochet and Shane McMahon are also two names that are being rumored heavily for the event.

Although Ricochet seems almost like a dead cert, possibly appearing after the Ospreay vs MJF match, McMahon feels way more unlikely.

Biggest Week in AEW History

Tony Khan has also teased that this will be the “biggest week” in company history, noting the following on his X account:

Mercedes Mone Reveals Her ‘Personal Writer’ for AEW Storylines

Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, has revealed her close collaboration with her ‘personal writer’ for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) storylines.

A New Chapter in AEW

After departing WWE in 2022, Mercedes Mone of course joined AEW, WWE’s biggest competitor, marking a significant transition in her career.

Mone has always been vocal about her desire for creative freedom and storytelling depth, two elements that she felt were lacking in her previous role as she notes in a new piece for the UK’s Independent.

The Role of Jennifer Pepperman

In AEW, Mone has found a new creative partner in Jennifer Pepperman, whom she describes as her ‘personal writer.’ Together with AEW’s Tony Khan, Pepperman and Mone have the opportunity to collaborate closely on developing her storylines.

This partnership allows Mone to have more control over her narrative in All Elite, a stark contrast to her experiences in WWE, where wrestlers often have little input into their storylines.

Creative Freedom and Respect in AEW

Mone has emphasized the creative freedom she enjoys in AEW, stating that her opinions and ideas are valued. “Here, I have space to be heard.”

The collaboration with Jennifer Pepperman appears to be crucial to this creative exploration, allowing Mone to bring her vision to life.

WWE legend Kevin Nash has recently shared his thoughts on the current state of Monday Night RAW, and he didn’t hold back on what he considers to be the best part of the show.

According to Nash, Rhea Ripley, who he referred to as a “f*cking Panther,” is the standout performer on WWE RAW.

Kevin Nash Praises Rhea Ripley

On a recent episode of his podcast, Kliq This, Kevin Nash delved into what makes Rhea Ripley so special on WWE’s flagship show.

Nash, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, expressed his admiration for Ripley, stating, “She came out last night and when she went to the ring, her movement in front of the hard camera was like, I don’t know, a f*****g panther. Everything that makes her what she is, which is, to me, the best thing on the show, most shows, by far, my favorite character, is her.”

The Rise of Rhea Ripley on RAW

Rhea Ripley has consistently been a dominant force on WWE RAW since her promotion to the main roster. She has held the RAW, SmackDown, and WWE Women’s World Titles, solidifying her position as one of WWE’s top stars.

Her current storyline involving Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan has kept fans on the edge of their seats, especially after Mysterio betrayed Ripley at WWE SummerSlam 2024.

Looking ahead, Rhea Ripley is set to team up with Damian Priest, as the “Terror Twins,” to face off against Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Bash In Berlin on August 31.

Shotzi Injury Update: WWE Star’s Return Timetable

WWE Superstar Shotzi has provided fans with a much-anticipated update on her injury and potential return to the ring. After suffering a severe knee injury earlier this year, Shotzi has been on the road to recovery and recently shared a hopeful update on her progress.

The Injury and Its Impact

Shotzi sustained a significant ACL tear during the February 13, 2024, WWE NXT taping. The injury occurred while she was executing her apron DDT move in a match against Lyra Valkyria.

This unfortunate incident led to her being pulled from an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, where she was eventually replaced by Alba Fyre.

Shotzi’s Recovery Journey

In a recent update shared on her Instagram Stories, Shotzi provided a glimpse into her recovery process. She posted a photo showing her undergoing a cupping therapy session, which is a part of her rehabilitation.

Along with the image, she included a reassuring message: “Just a few more months.” This suggests that while she is making progress, her return to in-ring action is still a few months away.

What’s Next for Shotzi?

While Shotzi’s fans are eager to see her back in the ring, her message indicates that her recovery is on track but will require a bit more time.

This injury has certainly been a setback, but her optimistic update provides hope that she will make a strong return.

WWE has not yet announced a specific return date, but based on her timeline, fans can expect her to potentially make a comeback in late 2024 or early 2025.

Every Hulk Hogan Controversy: Belzer Lawsuit, Gawker, Leaked Tape, and Kamala Harris

Hulk Hogan is one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history, yet, his fame extends beyond the ring, very often dipping into realms of controversy that have impacted his public image.

Here we delve into some of the most infamous controversies associated with Hogan, including the Belzer lawsuit, the Gawker case, the leaked tape scandal, and a peculiar connection to Kamala Harris.

The Belzer Lawsuit: A Wrestling Move Gone Wrong

In 1985, Hulk Hogan appeared on the television show “Hot Properties,” hosted by Richard Belzer. The appearance was intended to promote the first-ever WrestleMania, but it quickly spiraled into an infamous incident.

During the show, Belzer asked Hogan to demonstrate a wrestling move. Complying, Hogan applied a front chin-lock, a common wrestling maneuver, on Belzer. However, the move rendered Belzer unconscious, causing him to collapse onto the studio floor. To make matters worse, Belzer’s head hit the floor, resulting in a laceration that required medical attention.

Belzer sued Hogan and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), seeking damages for the incident. The lawsuit was eventually settled out of court, with Belzer reportedly receiving $5 million according to Hogan.

This controversy highlighted the dangers of blurring the lines between wrestling entertainment and real life, marking one of the earliest public scandals in Hogan’s career.

The Gawker Case: A Pioneering Privacy Battle

One of Hulk Hogan’s most high-profile controversies was his legal battle against Gawker Media.

In 2012, Gawker published a secretly recorded sex tape featuring Hogan and Heather Clem, the wife of his then-best friend, radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge. The tape quickly went viral, causing significant damage to Hogan’s reputation.

Hogan sued Gawker for invasion of privacy, leading to a landmark trial. In 2016, the court ruled in Hogan’s favor, awarding him $140 million in damages. The lawsuit effectively bankrupted Gawker, leading to the media company’s shutdown.

This case was not only significant for Hogan but also set a precedent in privacy law, highlighting the legal risks of publishing private content without consent.

The Leaked Tape Scandal: Racial Slurs and Public Fallout

The fallout from the Gawker tape wasn’t just about privacy—it also revealed a darker side of Hogan’s character.

In the leaked video, Hogan was heard making racially charged comments, including the use of the N-word. The revelation of these remarks caused widespread outrage, leading to Hogan’s immediate firing from WWE and the removal of his profile from their website.

The scandal tarnished Hogan’s legacy, with many fans and fellow wrestlers expressing their disappointment.

Hogan later apologized for his remarks, attributing them to a low point in his life. Despite his efforts to rebuild his image, the incident remains a significant blemish on his career.

Kamala Harris: Controversial Comments

Hulk Hogan’s connection to Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the United States, stems from a controversial incident that occurred in 2024. During a promotional event for his new beer, Hogan made headlines for making inflammatory comments about Harris. In a video obtained by TMZ, Hogan jokingly asked a crowd if they wanted him to “body slam Kamala Harris” and “drop the leg” on her, referencing his iconic wrestling moves.

The remarks, made in front of a fired-up crowd, were not only provocative but also crossed into racially insensitive territory. Hogan questioned Harris’s racial identity, making comments about her Indian heritage and using outdated stereotypes. He referred to Harris as a “chameleon” and questioned whether she was truly Indian, which drew significant backlash.

Hogan’s comments came at a time of heightened political tension in the U.S., with growing calls to curb violent political rhetoric. His remarks were widely condemned, especially given the context of recent political violence and the ongoing divisiveness in American politics.

Hogan later tried to downplay the incident by blaming his comments on the beer he was promoting, but the damage to his public image was already done.

Bayley Reveals Her Dream WWE Mixed Tag Team Partner

WWE Superstar Bayley recently shared with fans who her ideal male tag team partner would be. During her appearance at Fanatics Fest NYC, Bayley expressed her admiration for a WWE legend who has inspired countless wrestlers and captivated audiences worldwide.

Bayley’s Choice: Rey Mysterio

When asked about her dream mixed tag team partner, Bayley didn’t hesitate to name Rey Mysterio as her top choice.

Mysterio has been a significant influence in the wrestling industry and Bayley mentioned that while she has teamed up with Seth Rollins in the past, she has her eyes set on Mysterio if she were to ever be part of a Mixed Tag Team match again.

“I have teamed with Seth before. That was great. Honestly, I’m going to have to say Rey Mysterio. He’ll do all the work, and I’ll just throw powerbombs out. 619 straight into a powerbomb. Sounds good to me.”

Why Rey Mysterio?

Rey Mysterio is a name that resonates with wrestling fans of all ages. His career spans decades, and his high-flying ability, even this long into his career, has made him a fan favourite, so its no doubt that Bayley would pick someone of his stature.

Mixed Match Challenge is not something that is likely to come back, but seeing BayRey would be pretty cool.

Nic Nemeth Reveals What He Doesn’t Want to see on John Cena WWE Retirement Tour

As John Cena approaches his WWE retirement, many fans are speculating that his farewell will involve passing the torch to a new generation of wrestlers. However, TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth believes that this doesn’t necessarily have to be the case.

Nic Nemeth’s Perspective on Cena’s Retirement

During a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio show, Nic Nemeth shared his views on Cena’s upcoming retirement, set to take place in 2025 after a series of around 30-40 appearances.

While it’s usually common for a retiring legend to pass the torch to an emerging talent, Nemeth argues that Cena’s departure doesn’t have to follow this tradition.

“Not everything has to be a pass the torch kind of thing,” Nemeth said, emphasizing that Cena’s retirement doesn’t need to involve a match against a rising star like Bron Breakker or another NXT newcomer.

The Case for Cena vs. Orton

Instead of introducing a fresh face to WWE fans, Nemeth suggests that Cena’s final chapter could revolve around his storied rivalry with Randy Orton.

The idea of Cena facing Orton one last time is compelling, as it would bring a sense of closure to one of WWE’s most iconic rivalries.

“We all know they were rivals. We all know [we want to] see it,” Nemeth commented. He added that seeing Cena and Orton face-to-face in the ring during Cena’s final moments would be a fitting end for both superstars, especially if it marks the last match for either of them.

A Different Kind of Farewell

As WWE prepares for Cena’s retirement, starting with his appearance on the first episode of RAW on Netflix in January 2025, fans eagerly anticipate how his farewell will unfold.

Whether Cena passes the torch or not, Nemeth’s perspective opens the door for a more nostalgic and memorable conclusion to Cena’s legendary career.

Ex-WWE Star Mandy Rose Returning To The Ring

Mandy Rose, the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion, is making a highly anticipated return to the world of professional wrestling. The announcement of her return has generated significant buzz, especially among her fans who have eagerly awaited her comeback.

Return to the Ring at Black Label Pro

Mandy Rose has been confirmed for Black Label Pro’s upcoming event, “Crowning Glory,” set to take place on September 4, 2024.

This event is part of a special “Wrestling Combine” where athletes will compete in a series of contests to determine the best overall performer.

Rose’s involvement adds star power to an already stacked lineup, featuring several well-known wrestling talents.

A Star-Studded Lineup

In addition to Mandy Rose, the event will also feature appearances by several other notable wrestling figures.

This includes Ash by Elegance (formerly known as Dana Brooke), Mike Rallis (formerly known as Riddick Moss), Jordynne Grace, Parker Boudreaux, Xia Zhao (formerly known as Xia Li), and Moose.

The Wrestling Combine will showcase these athletes in various challenges designed to highlight their athletic prowess and in-ring skills.

What This Means for Mandy Rose’s Career

Mandy Rose’s return to professional wrestling marks a significant moment in her career. After her departure from WWE, Rose explored opportunities outside the wrestling world.

However, her return could indicate a renewed focus on her wrestling career, potentially opening doors for future appearances in other major promotions.

Saraya May Not Wrestle at AEW All In London 2024

On the August 16th episode of AEW Rampage, Saraya appeared alongside Harley Cameron, reflecting on her journey and expressing frustration over not being scheduled for AEW All In.

This led to an in-ring confrontation with current AEW Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm. The two exchanged heated words, and Storm eventually agreed to defend her title against Saraya on the August 21st episode of AEW Dynamite in Wales ahead of All In at Wembley Stadium.

What This Means for Saraya and AEW All In

The outcome of the match between Saraya and Toni Storm on Dynamite could have significant implications for AEW All In London.

While Saraya is determined to reclaim the title she once held, there is a very strong possibility that she may not be part of the All In card if she fails to capture the championship.

Toni Storm is already slated to defend her title at AEW All In against Mariah May, which leaves Saraya’s status uncertain, and there is absolutely zero chance that Toni is losing this match against Saraya on Wednesday night.

AEW All In 2023

Saraya winning the AEW Women’s Championship was a major part of the first All In show, with the former WWE Divas Champion beating Hikaru Shida (c), Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Toni Storm in a four way match.

The former Paige would then celebrate with her family in the ring after the match, so she has already had her big moment at Wembley, but it will sting if she is not able to get onto the card this year.

What COULD happen is a match between Saraya and Harley Cameron, with AEW having the chance to have Harley turn on her friend this week on Dynamite.

Darby Allin Talks Potential of Teaming with WCW Legend’s Son

Darby Allin has been closely associated with Sting, a WWE Hall of Famer and WCW legend, since the former WCW Champion joined AEW. Their partnership ensured that Darby’s early tenure in the company was a successful one, with Sting acting as a mentor and ally to the young star.

Their bond has not only created iconic moments in wrestling but has also opened doors to new possibilities, including the potential for Allin to team up with Sting’s son, Steven Borden.

Steven Borden’s Unexpected Path to Wrestling

Steven Borden, who appeared alongside his father during Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution, surprised many when he expressed interest in pursuing a wrestling career.

Despite having a stable job, a wife, and a child, Borden decided to take up the challenge after his cameo at the event, where he Stinger Splashed one of The Young Bucks in the corner.

Darby Allin, who has been instrumental in Borden’s training, shared insights into his journey. According to Allin, Steven initially showed no desire to become a pro wrestler, making his sudden passion for the sport even more remarkable.

At 32 or 33 years old, Steven’s decision to pursue wrestling came as a shock, not only to fans but to Sting himself.

“He’s doing really good. It’s funny because he’s never had any, like, When it comes to wrestling, he’s never had the itch to be like, I want to be a pro wrestler. So he did that spot in the Sting’s Last Match at Revolution where he splashed one of the young bucks in the corner. Then he just said, Dad, I want to do this. He’s got a good job. He’s got a wife. He’s got a kid. At 32 or 33, to get that wrestling, like, ugh, I want to do this. Sting never thought his son was going to do that.”

Allin’s Training Philosophy

Darby Allin has taken Steven Borden under his wing, pushing him to his limits to ensure that he earns his place in the company.

Allin stated in an interview with WFFA that he doesn’t want Steven to receive any special treatment or be seen as someone who got a “handout” because of his father’s legacy.

The rigorous training sessions at Allin’s home, which even include unconventional methods like running while being shot with paintballs, are designed to build both physical and mental toughness.

The Potential Team-Up: A Full Circle Moment

Darby Allin has expressed his excitement at the idea of teaming up with Steven Borden in the future. He described it as a “full circle moment,” where Sting’s legacy could be passed down to the next generation through this unique partnership.

For Allin, teaming with Steven would not only be a tribute to Sting but also a personal milestone in his own career:

“I would love to [team with steven]. It’s like a full circle moment. He didn’t have to team with Darby, but he wanted to. And then just to give sting‘s son what he gave me, that would be kind of a cool moment.
