Former WCW President Eric Bischoff took to X/Twitter to mock The Young Bucks following their match at Forbidden Door.
“This 6 man with The Elite looks like something from WCW Saturday night from 1992 zzzzz” the former WWE on-screen General Manager tweeted during the match featuring The Bucks/Kazuchika Okada taking on The Acclaimed and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Bischoff would then follow that up with another incendiary shot, this one taking a dig at the overall match itself: “Damn that much sucked. There HAS to a motive behind putting on such waste of time.”
Bischoff has not been shy about his dislike of certain AEW tropes and approaches to on-screen presentation over the past few years, especially when it comes to the likes of The Young Bucks and Tony Khan.
When it came to the replies from fans and detractors on the tweets, it was a 50/50 balance between those agreeing with Easy E and those calling him a grifter that didn’t know what he was talking about.
Either way, The Elite continues to be a focal point of All Elite programming and will continue to be as the storyline with Kenny Omega and (possibly) Hangman Adam Page unfolds over the next few months.
Whether Bischoff will enjoy any of the work that the group presents going forward remains to be seen, but going by his recent comments and overall view of the EVPs? It’s probably not going to get any more positive.
Forbidden Door is now underway, and fans in the arena started some (very audible on the PPV feed) dueling CM Punk chants.
The chants started during the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada vs Hiroshi Tanahashi and Acclaimed tag team match, with a smatter of ‘CM Punk’ aimed at the Bucks specifically.
The chants would then get more and more audible before you could loudly hear on the PPV feed “F*ck CM Punk,” chants which seemed to stop dead the original chants for the Second City Saint, which were then followed up by “he got fired” from the crowd.
CM Punk chants at ANOTHER AEW PPV
The Bucks would probably have hoped that the Punk chants would’ve stopped by now, with the Brawl Out incident being a fairly distant memory for many.
Fans on X/Twitter reacted to the chants from some of the crowd and the overwhelming sentiment was…why? Why would you pay to go to an AEW PPV at this point in 2024 and still chant for CM Punk?
Punk of course still has a huge fanbase, and the shocking incidents that led to his departure will be discussed for years to come.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman/MJF picked up a big win at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event tonight from UBS Arena.
The former AEW Champion managed to take the win over Hechicero in the opening match of the night with his new finisher: a modified Brainbuster.
This seemed to be a place-holder match for Maxwell as we head towards the All In event from Wembley Stadium, where he may well get a higher-tier competitor (at least from an All Elite sense, Hechicero is great).

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 is taking place tonight and fans are wondering if some unannounced signings finally could appear on screen.
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, there are a several “unannounced signings” for the company who may or may not be appearing on the Forbidden Door PPV tonight.
“We’re told there are some unannounced signings that have not appeared on AEW or ROH TV yet. There’s no word on if they’ll be popping up tonight” the site reported earlier today as part of their Forbidden Door scoops thread.
What we DO know is that one of the names not appearing will apparently be Kamille, as Fightful noted that “We’re told the ‘unannounced signings’ don’t include Kamille, who has been with the company for months. There have been discussions and materials prepared to bring her in, though we’re not sure to what extent.”

A massive Will Ospreay match is currently not in the backstage plans for All In, according to some latest AEW rumors.
Fightful Select confirmed as part of their AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 scoops thread that Ospreay vs Ricochet was not currently on the docket for the Wembley Stadium event in August.
“We’re told that AEW has had a general outline of the top matches they want at AEW All In for quite some time. As of early this month, Ricochet/Will Ospreay wasn’t one of them” the site reported.
AEW Rumors: Could Ricochet appear at Forbidden Door?
Whilst a number of fans are hoping that we could see Ricochet appearing tonight on the show to set up a massive rematch with Ospreay, it very likely will not be happening anytime soon.
Fightful also confirmed that “Ricochet and Natalya are still technically under contract to WWE,” so unless they were both let out of their deals early we won’t be seeing them pop up tonight.
Ospreay is set to challenge Swerve Strickland tonight for the AEW Championship, and he is the underdog heading into the bout (at least according to the latest odds). With the “Aerial Assassin” getting a pretty baffling title shot a month or so before Wembley Stadium, there will probably be something huge tonight that costs him the match and sets up the rematch in England.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 is set to take place tonight, but what are the rumors heading into the big show?
Always take these rumors with a grain of salt, because although some of these sensationalized headlines can seem more exciting than the usual news cycle, they are just that right now…rumors.
Here are the rumors that are doing the rounds this week ahead of the PPV event and everything you need to know to keep up with the latest updates.
One of the biggest stories right now surrounds former WWE Superstar Dijak, as he appears to be teasing a debut with All Elite tonight.
Dijak took to social media to cut a promo walking out of his house, claiming that it was time for a “Dijak Hijack”
“Today is such a beautiful day, it’s early in the morning right now, why don’t we go for a nice little drive, huh? Maybe a four-and-half hour drive? Maybe that’s exactly what today calls for.”
Long Island fits the bill for a four and a half hour drive for Dijak which is where Forbidden Door takes place, so there’s a very good chance that he appears tonight.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 is set to take place tonight on PPV, but what is the card for the massive show?
There are a bunch of title matches confirmed for the show, including the main event that sees Will Ospreay challenging for the AEW Championship against Swerve Strickland for the very first time.
NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer will also be facing TBS Champion Mercedes Mone in a Champion vs Champion match, with Mone looking to take back the title that she was earmarked to win before her injury against Willow Nightingale.
To add even further to the stakes, there will be a ladder match for the vacant TNT Championship with Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Jack Perry, Dante Martin, Lio Rush and El Phantasmo all vying for the belt that Adam Copeland had to vacate due to injury.
There are a number of massive matches set to take place from the UBS Arena in the Long Island hamlet of Elmont, New York, and they are as follows:

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 is set to take place tonight, but what is the latest in terms of ticket sales?
According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show is doing well in terms of number of seats sold.
As of writing from that report, the show at the UBS Arena on Long Island has around 9,738 tickets out.
During the recent press call for the PPV, Tony Khan made a prediction that the show would get around 10,000 tickets sold, getting setting a live gate of $1 million.
If the show is able to get over that 10,000 tickets sold mark and the $1 million gate, then it will be the third straight Forbidden Door show to do so.
FB 2024 would also be the biggest show of the year if it breaks the $1 million gate, surpassing AEW Revolution which reportedly got around $1,025,000 on the gate.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 takes place tonight, and the latest odds for the card seem extremely one-sided.
Writing on the Daily Update for F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer revealed that some of the key matchups for the show are tilting heavily towards who you would think were getting the W before the first bell even rings.
“Almost all the key matches are very one-sided when it comes to the odds. On the main card, the Jericho match had no odds last we saw as it was a late addition, but MJF, Storm, Mone, Danielson, Naito, Jack Perry, Sabre Jr., and Strickland were all very heavy favorites” Meltzer noted.
“Naito was the smallest at -300. Strickland was -800. Mone was -2000 and Storm was -1500. MJF was -6000. Even Sabre was -400 and that match I could see going either way” he added.

AEW Plus subscribers on the Triller TV service can purchase the card for around $19.99, around $30 cheaper than the US stream due to the anti-social timing of the event for European fans.

Former WWE Superstar Toni Storm has generated over $35,000 dollars in the 24 hours since her OnlyFans account has gone live.
Storm revealed earlier in the week that she was going to be offering exclusive content to fans on the platform, and it went live on Saturday 19th.
As of writing, there are currently 1837 likes on the first post of Storm’s OnlyFans, which means there are at least 1837 people signed to the service paying at most $19.99 per month.
There are also yearly discounts available on the subscription service, but the majority of subscribers will likely be paying the $19.99 monthly subscription.
It’s worth noting that OnlyFans takes a 20% cut, but that is still a significant amount of money being generated for the former WWE Superstar.
Toni Storm OnlyFans
It’s an absolutely huge amount for the former PROGRESS Women’s Champion to earn in such a short space of time.
With potential earnings like that going forward, you’d wonder why she would even consider getting back in the ring anytime soon.
Of course, Toni Storm left WWE back in late 2021, with the reasoning supposedly being that the Australian star was “burnt out.”
It was a shock at the time, with Storm in a feud with Charlotte Flair and a potential title match for the former WWE NXT UK Champion down the line.
There’s no indication that she has signed with the likes of IMPACT or AEW, but for the time being she appears to be focusing on providing fans with content on her OnlyFans account.
Storm’s partner Juice Robinson is currently in the United States performing for both NJPW STRONG and IMPACT Wrestling, so there’s a chance that she could follow him to AXS TV on Thursday nights alongside the likes of Gisele Shaw, Deonna Purrazzo and Kiera Hogan.
Former AEW EVP and reportedly re-signed WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes made some intriguing comments regarding his previous place of employment in an interview that has resurfaced.
In an old episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Rhodes revealed that he wanted to stay with the company as an EVP until he “died.”
“I wanna stay an Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling, and I’ve told Tony [Khan] this, until I die” Rhodes claimed during the interview with Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards.
“This is where I, this is the end of my road. I can’t necessarily go back [to WWE], the others can change [their mind] but I really can’t” Rhodes concluded.
Cody Rhodes Re-Signing with WWE
Rhodes is of course entitled to change his mind on the matter, and it appears he has done so with his WWE return impending.
Although Cody has taken shots against WWE in the past couple of years, it is clear that Vince McMahon does not take these personally.
There have been many instances of Superstars returning to the company after having issues in the past, and it’s fair to say that these problems were a whole lot worse than destroying a throne on PPV.
Hopefully, this will be a good move for Rhodes’ career, and he will be able to return to WWE in a main event level capacity.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar recently revealed to SmackDown Superstar Natalya that he wanted to have a dream match with her uncle and WWE Hall of Famer, Bret Hart.
Speaking to the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling Podcast, Natalya revealed discussions backstage with the Beast Incarnate, saying that Lesnar vs Hart was a dream match of his.
“I like to go to Brock for advice and he does know what he’s talking about” Natalya revealed during the interview.
“He told me a dream match for him would’ve been to wrestle Bret Hart” the daughter of Jim Neidhart continued.
“We were talking last week and he said that would’ve been a dream match because I told him how much Bret was a fan of his work. I think Brock is awesome” Nattie concluded.
Brock Lesnar vs Bret Hart
Obviously, Bret Hart vs Brock Lesnar is not a match that could ever happen, but it is certainly an intriguing prospect.
Many other performers have listed Hart as their dream opponent, with the likes of CM Punk heaping even more praise on ‘The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be’ in recent months.
Kurt Angle has said in the past that he wishes he could’ve had a match with the Hall of Famer, and Hart himself reciprocated the idea in his autobiography.
WWE RAW Superstar Kevin Owens was reportedly set for an in-ring promo during this week’s episode of SmackDown, but it was pulled.
Fightful Select recently reported that Owens was listed internally as having an in-ring promo on the show, but a video package ran instead.
They noted: “Kevin Owens was listed for an in-ring promo internally, but a video package ran instead. It was to be produced by Jason Jordan.”
The video package that would end up airing showed Owens challenging Stone Cold Steve Austin to confront him at WrestleMania 38.
Austin would of course accept the challenge, and The Rattlesnake is now set to appear on the show.
Kevin Owens WWE SmackDown
What Stone Cold will eventually end up doing remains to be seen, but we will see the Hall of Famer at the show.
It is not currently known why WWE opted to remove Owens from appearing live on the show, but the video package sold the story of the confrontation well enough anyway.
It is also not known if we’ll see Steve Austin on RAW or SmackDown ahead of WrestleMania 38. It’s likely however that WWE will opt to keep the former WWE Champion off-screen until he appears in Dallas, Texas.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has returned to action after suffering from a fractured voice box.
The injury occurred ahead of this past week’s episode of WWE RAW, and Lynch did not appear on camera for the show itself.
Becky was however backstage towards the end of the show and told fans via social media that Bianca Belair had caused the voicebox injury.
There was some uncertainty as to whether Lynch would be able to return to action in the short term, but she has now wrestled again for the company.
Becky Lynch WWE Return
Becky Lynch performed on the Saturday 12th March ‘Road to WrestleMania’ live event from Columbus, GA.
Lynch took part in a handicap match on the show, which saw Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley defeat The Man, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella and Doudrop.
Following the initial worry that Becky Lynch might not be able to make WrestleMania 38, it now appears that she has been cleared for in-ring action.
Although not one of the main events of the two-night show, Becky vs Bianca is still a top bout for the card, and WWE will not want anything to jeopardize its position on the biggest show of the year.
With the injury to Big E on this week’s episode of SmackDown, the company will likely be even more vigilant in ensuring that potential issues to the WrestleMania card are avoided in the final weeks ahead of the show in Dallas.
This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown reportedly saw a small fall in viewership compared to last week, according to the overnights.
WWE is currently building up to WrestleMania 38 from Dallas, Texas, and they will be hoping that they can maintain the weekly television audience ahead of their biggest event of the year.
Spoiler TVhas reported that the Friday March 11th episode of the show brought in 2.133 million viewers on FOX.
The show also had a .5 in the all-important 18 to 49 demographic. An interesting stat to note is that the show actually held the audience of 2.133 million viewers across both hours.
SmackDown Overnights
Comparatively, the overnight ratings for the Friday March 4th episode of SmackDown drew an average of 2.1395 million viewers. That show also had a .5 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
The ratings for SmackDown towards the end of February saw the show hover below the 2 million mark, so these recent weeks of shows can only be considered a success for the company.
What is promising for WWE is that this week’s show actually held the number across the two hours, indicating that there is investment across the show rather than just the main feuds.
The show opened this week with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and ended with an Intercontinental Championship match between Ricochet and Sami Zayn.
The company will be hoping to hold these sorts of numbers as we head towards WrestleMania at the start of April.
This week’s episode of AEW Rampage on the TNT Network was again a taped show, and the viewership reportedly fell below 500,000.
Alfred Konuwa, who seems to be fed the fast national ratings for Rampage when they’re low, indicated this week that the Rampage number was below the half a million mark.
The Friday March 11th episode of Rampage apparently had a viewership of 480,000, down from last week. It’s worth noting that a demographic breakdown for the 18 to 49 number has not yet been revealed.
Comparatively, the March 4th episode of AEW Rampage had a viewership of 545,000 with a .22 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.
AEW Rampage Ratings
There’s no indication right now as to whether the network is happy with the recent numbers from AEW on Friday nights.
Whilst the ratings and viewership has been declining, with last week’s show actually being 34% down from what was showing on TNT last year at the same time, it is first run programming for Turner.
Rampage was initially a far more important aspect of AEW’s weekly programming, with CM Punk originally wrestling almost exclusively on the show.
Although Tony Khan initially promised that it was not a “B show” for AEW, it does appear somewhat as though it is becoming the natural number two behind Dynamite on TBS every Wednesday.
A top IMPACT Wrestling star has reportedly become a free agent following the Sacrifice event on Saturday 5th March.
Fightful Select reported that Jake Something has now left the company, with his original contract being up at the end of February.
The site noted: “Fightful reported recently that Jake’s deal was up at the end of February, which was true, but there was one outstanding date remaining on the contract.
“Despite the deal being set to expire, IMPACT put him in a top spot in an X-Division title match for Sacrifice, which is slated to be his last date with the company as of now” it was also revealed.
Fightful also revealed that as of writing that no deal had been reached, and that Jake was not scheduled to be at the Sunday television tapings for the company.
Jake Something now a Free Agent
Jake Something has reportedly left the company on good terms, and that he would “likely be welcomed back.”
Josh Alexander appeared at the end of the Sacrifice event and revealed that he had re-signed with the company. There’s a good chance that we could see Something also re-sign in the coming weeks unless there is a deal waiting for him from the likes of WWE, NJPW or AEW.
We do not currently know if Jake Something has any open offers on the table from other promotions, but we will update you on the story as and when it becomes apparent.
WWE has filed a trademark for an NXT UK Superstar who does not appear to have yet officially signed with the company.
The company has filed a trademark for the name Eliza Alexander, the name used for British independent star Lizzy Evo as part of the recent NXT UK tapings.
It’s not currently known if Evo has actually signed for WWE, but what is interesting is that they’ve decided to try and trademark the name.
Lizzy Evo is a prominent name on the UK independent scene, having arguably one of the top feuds in all of 2020 with Alexxis Falcon.

Another free agent is expected to debut for All Elite Wrestling at tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
Sw3rve the Realest, formerly known as Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott in WWE, might be making an appearance tonight, according to Fightful Select.
“AEW hasn’t gone out of their way to keep it a secret, as he was at the AEW concert on Saturday Night in Orlando, and a song that repeatedly mentioned him played. Sw3rve still lives in the Orlando area, as well.”
The plan was for Sw3rve to appear “imminently,” with the idea, as of writing, for him to debut at AEW Revolution tonight. Fightful made sure to include the warning, “As with anything in wrestling, this is subject to change.”
Hopefully, we will see the former NXT North American Champion debut for the company in a big way.
AEW President Tony Khan recently revealed that Jon Moxley was integral to getting Bryan Danielson to sign with All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking to Jim Varsallone ahead of AEW Revolution tonight, Khan revealed how the former WWE Superstar was a big part in getting the American Dragon to join the promotion.
“I don’t know if people know, Jon Moxley is a big reason why Bryan Danielson came to AEW in the first place” Khan revealed.
“He really vouched for this place, he gave his word to Bryan that this is a great place to work. And that helped connect me to Bryan Danielson, that Mox gave him that reference, you know,” Tony Khan continued. “That I am a good person to work for and that this is a good company to come to.”
Khan also discussed why it was so important to AEW to get someone the caliber of Danielson to join the company.
“Bryan Danielson is one of the biggest wrestlers in the world,” Khan stated. “One of the most recognizable, successful, famous wrestlers on the planet, and when he came to AEW, it was a huge get for us.
“Their story goes back a long time, they know each other very well. I think they are going to have an amazing match” Khan concluded, discussing the match between the two at Revolution tonight.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently posted an image to social media where he looked absolutely jacked.
Angle has been retired from the pro wrestling ring for some time, but fans took the image of the Olympic Gold Medallist being in incredible shape as a sign that he may be preparing for a comeback.
The former WWE Champion addressed the situation on The Kurt Angle Show podcast, saying that he wasn’t prepping for a return to wrestling, not yet anyway, but his weight loss was for a different reason.
Kurt Angle on Weight Loss
“I gained a lot of weight during this pandemic,” Angle revealed on the podcast. “I got up to 260 and I got my butt down to 210 pounds, so I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in even before the Olympics as far as looks, not on a conditioning level or a strength level.
“As far as how I look, this is the best I’ve ever looked and I’m really happy with my progress” Angle continued.
“I started training hard again to get my body back in shape and, not that I’m planning on wrestling, but I want to keep the option open” the WWE Hall of Famer confirmed.
“I’ve been training a lot of physical therapy training, working on my smaller muscles, my core, everything like that. I lost a lot during this pandemic, I couldn’t even walk in a straight line, my balance was off, my strength was off and I was going through a really difficult time. I went through a lot of depression too” the Olympic Gold Medallist noted.
It was recently confirmed that Vince McMahon would be appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, but now it appears as though the match between the two has been locked in.
Dave Meltzer recently confirmed that the bout between the 76 year-old WWE Chairman and SmackDown commentator was “internally scheduled” for WrestleMania 38.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter writer noted on social media: “As of last night, Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee was listed as a match on the internal schedule for WrestleMania.”
As of last night, Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee was listed as a match on the internal schedule for WrestleMania.
As noted, the WWE Chairman is set to appear on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, where it is likely that they will start to build the angle.
Whilst it won’t exactly be the best technical wrestling match in company history, it is certainly another intriguing prospect for what is already becoming a baffling card for WrestleMania 38.

AEW star Chris Jericho recently took to social media to react to claims that he got “ab implants.”
Fans noted on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite that the former WWE Undisputed Champion looked shredded.
Jericho stood toe to toe with Eddie Kingston for a promo segment, and it was clear that he had been working on his body in the prior weeks.
One fan believed that Jericho had gotten “ab implants,” explaining how the previously ‘bloated’ star now looked to be in fantastic shape and have six-pack abs.
There have been several actors who have undergone a liposuction procedure called Abdominal Etching to create the look of six-pack abs.
Chris Jericho Reacts to “Haters”
Reacting to this on Twitter, Chris Jericho would laugh off the idea that he got any sort of surgical work.
The former AEW Champion wrote: “Hah that is the stupidest f–kin thing I’ve ever heard!! Keep reaching haters…..”
