  • Madcap Moss Believes Brock Lesnar Is Underrated

Madcap Moss Believes Brock Lesnar Is Underrated

WWE star Madcap Moss believes that former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is underrated in what he does.

Moss was recently interviewed on “The Power Trip After Party” and spoke about Brock Lesnar. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner had nothing but good things to say about “The Beast.”

In fact, in Moss’ view, Lesnar doesn’t get enough credit for what he’s done inside the ring. Even keeping in mind some already consider him to be an all-time great.

“To me, as good as he is considered, which I think a lot of people consider him to be an all-time great in the WWE, I still think he’s underrated,” Moss said. “I think he’s absolutely been one of the best WWE superstars of the past couple of decades in so many different ways.”

Madcap Moss even suggested he’d like to share the ring with Lesnar one day if the opportunity ever presented itself.

“We haven’t crossed paths in the ring yet, although that is something that I would love to do someday and I hope I get the chance to do,” Moss said.

Lesnar recently made his return to WWE TV on last week’s Smackdown Live. After Roman Reigns’ successfully defended his Undisputed Championship against Riddle, Lesnar hit the ring to make his WWE return.

He teased shaking Reigns’ hand, but instead hit him with an F5. Now, Reigns and Lesnar are booked to go one-on-one for the WWE Undisputed Title at SummerSlam later next month.

Lesnar’s return was his first appearance on WWE TV since WrestleMania 38. There, he dropped his WWE Championship to Reigns, who also had his Universal Title on the line in that match.

With the win, Reigns became the WWE Undisputed Champion, and has been running rampant alongside The Usos, also dual-brand champions, ever since.

  • Matt Hardy Shoots Down Injury Report

Matt Hardy Shoots Down Injury Report

Matt Hardy has shot down recent reports suggesting that he’s dealing with an injury.

Recently there have been a plague of injuries going on within All Elite Wrestling (AEW); with stars such as Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Anthony Bowens, Darius Martin, and more currently being banged up.

Earlier this week, a report from Lucha Libre Online suggested that Matt Hardy was the latest AEW star to be dealing with an injury. This was following his appearance at AAA’s TripleMania XXX: Tijuana show.

However, Hardy took to Twitter to shoot this report down, saying he’s “all good” and was even backstage at AEW Dynamite this week and is good to go.

“Sorry to disappoint, but I’m all good, ladies & gentlemen. I was at #AEWDynamite tonight & am good to go. Also, I loved & enjoyed my #TripleMania30 match for @luchalibreaaa. Thanks, TJ!”

Hardy had teamed with Johnny “Hardy” (aka Johnny Elite or John Morrison) to take on Dragon Lee and Dralistico. Initially, Matt was to team with his brother, Jeff Hardy, however, he was unable to compete after his DUI arrest earlier in the week.

During the match, Johnny ended up turning on Hardy, allowing Lee and Dralistico to get the win. However, Hardy, Dralistico, and Lee all teamed up to take out Johnny and end the show.

After the match, the report going around suggested that Matt was dealing with swelling in his knee. There was no indication on when the injury occurred, however, it should be noted that Dralistico did land on Hardy’s knees during a moonsault at the end of the match.

With that being said, Matt claims to be ready to go when called upon. He hasn’t been on AEW TV in two weeks.

  • Eric Bischoff Explains Why He Supports Another Reigns vs. Lesnar Match

Eric Bischoff Explains Why He Supports Another Reigns vs. Lesnar Match

Eric Bischoff is actually in favor of WWE and their decision to book Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar yet again.

WWE has received a bit of push back for again booking Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar opposite one another for the World Title. The pairing of Reigns and Lesnar has been made several times already.

The duo have headlined numerous WrestleManias opposite one another, as well as SummerSlams. Now, they’ll rematch yet again at SummerSlam on July 30. It will be their rematch from WrestleMania 38 this past April, where they also headlined.

Recently, former WCW president Eric Bischoff took to his podcast, “83 Weeks” to offer his take on the situation. Bischoff actually supports the booking, and dove a little deeper to explain why.

“I can’t wait to see it. I know they’ve wrestled seven times or whatever it is – seven, eight, 20, whatever. It doesn’t matter. Remember when Brock came back most recently, when it was first announced that Brock was coming back?

“I think it was on 83 Weeks, I said, ‘You know what, it’s not gonna do anything for me. If he’s gonna come back as the same old Brock – the man killer, one dimensional, no promos, go out and eat people and spit them out, go home – it’s not gonna do a thing for me.’

“We’ve seen that guy. A lot of him. This is not that guy. This Brock Lesnar is a completely different Brock Lesnar in many respects. He’s a different character. He’s having more fun when he goes out there. He’s not relying on Paul [Heyman].

“He’s cutting a lot of his own promos. He’s coming to the ring looking and feeling like the Brock Lesnar that I know. I’m not suggested I know him real well, but he’s a farmer cowboy. He’s coming out there with a different vibe.

“So yes, we’ve seen the match before, but we haven’t seen this character before. So let’s just wait and see. I’m not against it. I think it’s awesome.”

Eric Bischoff has been very critical of both WWE and AEW over the years. In fact, his recent critiques of AEW have landed him in hot water with AEW president Tony Khan.

The pair have been exchanging words through the media in recent weeks, as fans have witnessed that relationship go sour in a hurry. As for Bischoff and WWE, Bischoff actually worked for WWE briefly as close back as 2019, however, that only lasted for a few months.

Now, Bischoff is a member of the “Ad Free Shows” network hosting several podcasts and analyzing the professional wrestling world as a former executive and current fan.

  • Ex-UFC Star Greg Hardy Waiting on Call from WWE or AEW

Ex-UFC Star Greg Hardy Waiting on Call from WWE or AEW

Former NFL and UFC star Greg Hardy is waiting on a call from either WWE or All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Recently, Hardy left the UFC after the Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion opted not to re-sign him once his deal expired. Now, Hardy has signed with Bare-Knuckle FC (BKFC) and will be competing in bare-knuckle boxing.

However, Hardy seems interested in a potential career in professional wrestling as well. The former Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman spoke to Chris Van Vliet about what’s ahead for him.

Hardy said he’s waiting on a call from either WWE or All Elite Wrestling (AEW), seemingly inspired by the likes of Rey Mysterio and Goldust.

“Somebody hit me up, AEW, WWE, hit me up. I’m down,’ Hardy said. “I’ll get in the gym right now. I’ll show up with the Monday night muscles and jump off the side of the rope on anybody. I’ll come out with one of those Rey Mysterio type masks.

“I’m going to grab a design artist too. You have to have showmanship, or like Goldust, something crazy. It has to be entertainment level stuff. You can’t just come out with tights on and have a six-pack unless you’re Brock Lesnar or The Rock.

“I’m an old school fan. I would love to get in there. I’m waiting for the call. If you know somebody that is watching this right now, hit me up and let’s get to work.”

Of course, any signing of Hardy wouldn’t come without a bit of controversy. Hardy has a 2014 arrest for domestic violence, amongst several other run-ins with the law, that seemingly ended his NFL run.

It’s certainly possible WWE and AEW would prefer to steer clear of Hardy and the baggage he brings to the table.

  • Madcap Moss Reveals Advice The Rock Once Gave WWE Locker Room

Madcap Moss Reveals Advice The Rock Once Gave WWE Locker Room

WWE star Madcap Moss has revealed a bit of advice that The Rock once gave himself and the WWE locker room.

Moss was recently interviewed on KFAN 100.3’s Power Trip Morning Show After Party Podcast, and detailed an encounter he had with The Rock along with a group of fellow WWE talents who were poking “The Great One’s” brain.

One person in the group asked The Rock for advice on going beyond WWE and breaking into the world of acting as a professional wrestler. Moss shared the advice Rock gave them in that regard.

“[The Rock] came and talked to a group of us one time and someone asked him about being able to go beyond WWE and get into Hollywood and get into acting. [The Rock] said, ‘We should all want to transcend the business. We should all want to be that big of a star, but you have to master the business before you can transcend it.”

After establishing himself as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, The Rock left WWE in favor of acting full-time in 2004. Since, he has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s biggest and most profitable stars.

The Rock has been feature din hit films and franchises such as Fast And The Furious, Jumanji, Moana, Black Adam, and so many more.

It’s no surprise that the 10-time World Champion serves as an inspiration to current WWE stars to become even bigger stars beyond the scope of professional wrestling.

Backstage Reaction to Bruce Prichard Being Named Interim WWE Head of Talent Relations

We have the reported backstage reaction from WWE talents in regards to Bruce Prichard being named the interim WWE Head of Talent Relations to pass along.

As we’ve noted, John Laurinaitis was put on administrative leave in light of the sexual misconduct allegations made against him and Vince McMahon.

PWInsider reported that a memo was sent out to staff to alert them of the move, adding that Bruce Prichard was named interim Head of Talent Relations in the meantime.

Both Fightful Select and Wrestling Observer are reporting that talent aren’t exactly thrilled with Prichard coming into the role.

Fightful’s report had one person on the inside joke that “Vince only knows three people,” referencing Vince only giving Prichard and Laurinaitis several different jobs, despite having a very large team.

Meltzer’s report suggested that talents aren’t thrilled with the move and it is “not necessarily well-received” Fightful’s report noted that several people backstage are not expecting Laurinaitis back, suggesting he’s “as good as gone” with some celebrating that fact.

Perhaps unrelated, but Fightful also reports that Vince McMahon was said to be in a very good mood during Monday Night RAW last night.

He even made a surprise appearance to briefly hype the return of John Cena next week.

  • Booker T: Adam Cole Needs More Muscle, It’s a Problem

Booker T: Adam Cole Needs More Muscle, It’s a Problem

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T believes All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Adam Cole needs to pack on some more muscle.

Booker took to his podcast, “The Hall Of Fame,” to offer his take on Cole and his recent injury troubles. The former World Heavyweight Champion suggested that Cole’s lack of muscle on his frame could be contributing to his injury woes.

“If Adam Cole has to have surgery and he’s down for six, nine months and he, you know, lose any more muscle, it’s going to be hard on this brother. You know what I’m saying? Right now, he’s about a buck 60.”

“We gotta get more weight on Adam Cole, you know what I mean? That’s his problem, he’s light, bottom light. We gotta get some muscle on this kid. That’s probably one of the reasons why he’s going out there, getting hurt because it can’t be the schedule at AEW.”

It was initially believed that Cole suffered a shoulder injury during the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, which he eventually won. His arm was taped up for his final match against Samoa Joe at Double Or Nothing.

Although Cole finished and won the match, he hasn’t wrestled since. A recent report suggests that Cole won’t be back inside the ring until the AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view (PPV) on June 26.

Previously, Cole was set for a 10-man Tag Team match on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. However, he and Jeff Hardy were both removed from the match, respectively, for different reasons.

  • Eric Bischoff Reacts to Vince McMahon Stepping Down as WWE CEO

Eric Bischoff Reacts to Vince McMahon Stepping Down as WWE CEO

Former WCW president Eric Bischoff has offered up his reaction to Vince McMahon stepping down as WWE CEO recently.

Recently, McMahon was put under investigation for sexual misconduct, forcing him to step down as CEO of WWE for the time being. In his place, Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, has stepped in to fill his role.

Bischoff recently took to his podcast, “83 Weeks,” to offer his thoughts on the situation. Simply put, Bischoff feels terribly for everyone affected by the recent moves.

“I was dumbfounded. Shocked. I can’t imagine anybody felt any differently. Even though it appears to be very temporaneous and not a permanent situation, at least that’s not the way it’s presented or the way I read it, but nonetheless, it’s a big damn deal and it did shock me,” Bischoff said.

“I feel bad for a lot of people. I still have a lot of friends in WWE that I do care about a lot. Regardless of how this ends up, it’s going to adversely affect a lot of people.

“How do you feel anything other than bad for people that you know and have affection for that are having to go through this? I feel bad for Bruce (Prichard).

“I sent Bruce a text Friday night during the show going, ‘Brother, one hell of a ride.’ To be sitting in that seat, to be there in the eye of that fu**ing hurricane, man I feel for a lot of people.”

McMahon is accused of paying $3 million in hush money to a paralegal his allegedly had an affair with. Last month, Stephanie McMahon announced she would be taking a leave of absence from WWE to spend more time with her family.

However, just a few weeks later, she finds herself returning to fill her father’s role as he steps away amidst the investigation.

The Company and the Board do not expect to have further comment until the investigation is concluded.

  • Booker T Reacts to Paige Leaving WWE

Booker T Reacts to Paige Leaving WWE

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T has offered up his reaction to Paige leaving WWE.

Earlier this week, Paige announced that she will be leaving WWE once her deal expires, but promised to return to the ring soon.

WWE wouldn’t clear her to compete due to her lingering injuries, but with that being said, the former WWE Divas Champion seems determined to step into the ring again regardless of what promotion it’s for.

Booker T took to his podcast, “The Hall Of Fame,” to offer his take on the situation. The former World Heavyweight Champion suggests he’s sure Paige will wrestle again, and will be a highly sought after free agent.

“I’m sure she’s going to be highly sought after because Paige is one of kind. She really is. I’m gonna say this, Paige is going to be back inside the squared circle very, very soon. Let’s just say that.

“I don’t have any inside information. I just know how much she loves the business. I know how much her family loves the business and how well connected they are to the love of this game and Paige went out, not on her own terms.

“Paige is somebody that is definitely going to step back in that squared circle and prove that she is still one of the best female superstars that ever got in the ring and trust me on that.

“I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I just got a feeling in my bones that it’s going to happen real, real soon, okay? That’s all I’m saying.”

Paige has been kept out of the ring due to a lingering neck injury that could be disastrous if something were to go wrong. Booker noted that it’s common for some doctors to say it’s okay to compete with certain injuries, while others say otherwise.

However, with something as serious as a neck injury, it’s some dicey territory to step back into the ring with it.

“Sometimes with injuries where one doctor may tell you, ‘You can’t do it,’ and then you go to another doctor right across the street and he’ll tell you you’re fine. You’re good to go.

“I’m serious because I was told that myself. One doctor told me, ‘Nah, you shouldn’t do this,’ and one doctor told me, ‘You’re good to go, man. You’re cleared.’ But that’s just how cautious they are when something like that happened and I get it.

“That injury right there, it’s hard to play around with. That neck issue is a very, very, serious situation as far as do’ or don’t. It’s really hard.”

  • Vince McMahon Reportedly Tore Up Script for Tonight’s SmackDown Live

Vince McMahon Reportedly Tore Up Script for Tonight’s SmackDown Live

Vince McMahon reportedly tore up the script for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live.

The report comes from Alex Sherman of CNBC.com, who notes McMahon will be speaking to the crowd in character tonight on SmackDown. The promo will apparently address his upcoming absence from the company.

Sherman added that McMahon actually tore up the script for the show that was written last night.

“Vince McMahon will speak tonight on Smackdown IN CHARACTER as Mr. McMahon to address his temporary absence. Could be a big ratings night for WWE. McMahon has torn up the script for Smackdown, which was written last night, I’m told.

“I’m also told that elevating Stephanie to CEO, after she just left to focus on family, is an optics play to signal Vince McMahon has no intention of stepping down.”

McMahon is currently dealing with sexual misconduct allegations, forcing him to step down as WWE CEO. His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, who recently stepped away for a “temporary leave of absence” as WWE Chief Branding Officer, has stepped in as an interim replacement.

Sherman’s report adds that Stephanie’s move to step in and replace McMahon for the time being indicates that Vince has no intentions of stepping down for good anytime soon.

Dave Meltzer also recently reported that Vince is set to address the talent before tonight’s show as well.

What do you think about Vince McMahon reportedly tearing up the script for tonight’s SmackDown, and his appearance tonight despite his current situation? Sound off in the comments!

  • Jimmy Smith Explains Why WWE Would Never Cross-Promote with AEW

Jimmy Smith Explains Why WWE Would Never Cross-Promote with AEW

Monday Night RAW commentator Jimmy Smith knows exactly why WWE would never cross-promote with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Smith took to the subject on a recent episode of his podcast, “Unlocking the Cage.” He was very adamant that WWE would never do any sort of cross-promotion with AEW, mostly because they stand to gain nothing from such a partnership.

WWE is undoubtedly the bigger company, so any sort of cross-promotion between the pair would only greatly benefit the smaller promotion.

“Here is the rule of thumb. The smaller promotion doesn’t hesitate to cross promote because they have less to lose. If Kayla Harrison loses to Cyborg, okay, fine, Cyborg is the bigger name anyway.

“If Cyborg loses to Kayla Harrison, there is the implication that, ‘Hey, maybe PFL is just better than Bellator.’ It’s always better to shoot up and miss then shoot down and hit. If you’re the UFC and WWE, you’re the top dogs.

“You have no reason to bring up another product and make them look like they are on your product’s level.”

“If so and so from AEW, and I don’t know because I don’t have time to watch AEW, but if somebody came up from AEW and it was WWE vs AEW, what you’re implying is they are on the same level.

“This champion from AEW, whoever it is, I know CM Punk is the champion right now so lets say CM Punk gets in there against Roman Reigns, what you’re saying is this guy is on Roman Reigns’ level, and the WWE will never, ever do that, and why should they?

“UFC is never going to do that with anybody at any other level. Will we see more of it? Yes. Is WWE and UFC worried about it? No, they are not.”

Jimmy Smith certainly makes a good point. WWE rarely, if not ever, mentions AEW on their programming. However, AEW has poked fun and name-dropped WWE and its stars on numerous occasions.

AEW president Tony Khan has been doing his best to break down “The Forbidden Door,” working with other promotions such as IMPACT Wrestling and Ring Of Honor (ROH), before eventually purchasing the latter.

  • More Proof That MJF is a Jerk in Real Life (Video)

More Proof That MJF is a Jerk in Real Life (Video)

If you needed more proof that MJF is a jerk in real life, we have it for you.

On a recent episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” television personality Sherri Shepherd talked about a recent interaction she had with MJF and her kid at an airport. Shepherd’s child was too scared to ask MJF for an autograph, so Shepherd herself did it for him.

When she asked him if he was MJF, he said no. She then followed up and asked if people tell him he looks like a professional wrestler named MJF, he then abruptly responded, “yes” and turned away from her.

However, Shepherd did note her son tried to explain to her that, because MJF is a bad guy, he needs to stay in character all the time.

    https://twitter.com/WendyWilliams/status/1537163036204576768

“When I was flying from Los Angeles to New York, I had an encounter with a former child star who appeared on The Rosie O’Donnell Show back in 2001. So at the time he was five years old, and some of you may remember him because his name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

“And Rosie had on as a guest, and he came on at the age of five and came on to sing … Now, young Max did not grow up to be a professional singer. He’s now 26 years old, and he goes by the initials MJF. And he’s a professional wrestler.

“He is a professional wrestler, and I guess the J in MJF stands for jerk. And I’m gonna tell y’all why – that’s what he was acting like when I met him at the airport when we were waiting in the lounge.

“Not nice at all. And see, my son Jeffrey, he’s a big wrestling fan and he knows all of the wrestlers. He spotted MJF while we were waiting for the plane. And you know, Jeffrey was really nervous going up to him and asking for an autograph.

“Because you don’t know. And so I said, ‘I’ll do it for my baby,’ because I’m mother bear. I said I would go up and ask him for an autograph. And I know how to be with celebrities, I know they don’t want you to do a bunch of talking.

“So I was very nice and I tapped him gently on the leg. And I said, ‘Excuse me, are you the famous wrestler MJF?’ He snapped back, he said, ‘No!’

“So I said, ‘Okay, well do people tell you that you look like the famous wrestler MJF?’ Then he snapped back and went, ‘Yes!’ and he put his headphones on and turned away from me.”

“And I wanted to say to him, ‘I don’t like your tone.’ That’s what I wanted to tell him. And I was like, ‘He has one more time to snap at me before I lay the smackdown on him.’

“I was not playing. You don’t — really? Jeffrey was standing right and he was smiling and everything. He goes, ‘No, mom. MJF is a bad guy. And he’s supposed to be a jerk.’

“And I’m like, I told my son, ‘No, no, you don’t know what a real bad guy is, unless he pisses off a black momma trying to get a photo for her son.’ I’m trying to get a photo for my baby. Like, I wasn’t bothering him, I just wanted a little picture, I was so mad at him.”

Currently MJF and his status with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) seems to be the big story surrounding the controversial star. He hasn’t been seen since his “pipebomb” promo on Dynamite a few weeks ago.

MJF swore on live TV, begging Tony Khan to fire him before the live feed was ended abruptly. It remains to be seen what will be next for the 26-year-old.

  • Theory Comments on Rumored Potential John Cena Match

Theory Comments on Rumored Potential John Cena Match

Theory has addressed the speculated potential match with John Cena that has been making the rounds.

Since his rise in WWE, Theory has received a lot of comparisons to Cena, which Cena himself has subtly commented on in recent weeks. The comparisons have led to speculation that Theory and Cena could meet inside the ring soon.

Of course, nothing has been made official in that regard just yet, but it’s a fun match that fans have been throwing around online. In fact, Theory recently addressed this during a recent interview on Ryan Satin’s “Out of Character” podcast.

“I wanted him [Vince McMahon] to know that this was never a second choice for me. This was always the only thing. Nothing against college or stuff like that, you can do that at anytime.

“For me, I never had a plan B. It was this or nothing. I was so heavy believing in myself at a very young age that, when these guys are at parties in high school, I’m in the gym and I’m training.

“I finish a job in a warehouse, working 8pm to 8am, I’m tired as hell, but I have to get up and workout because if I don’t, I’m gonna fall off. I’m gonna keep pushing until the next day. It’s that mentality and those little things. Everything that happens in life, happens for a reason. The build up of all these huge moments that have been happening.

“Could this be the big build-up to get me ready for someone like John Cena? I’m gonna be honest, there are a lot of huge attractions, but I don’t think it gets any bigger than John Cena. Whether you’re a fan or not, you can’t deny his work ethic and what he’s done for WWE.

“To me, being in that position where I could possibly be the face, just thinking of how much work there is, it’s insane. My hats off to that. It takes a hell of a human, a man, an anomaly, somebody who can pull that off. It’s insane.

“I feel like my brain will go crazy if I try to think of all this stuff to get there. If I just enjoy every moment and give it my best, it should be a good ride. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but I definitely keep my head on straight and keep moving forward.”

WWE seems to be very high on Theory, so a clash with Cena certainly seems like it’s within the realm of possibilities. Theory has been paired up with Vince McMahon on television, which is a very good sign.

He was also featured in a high-profile match at this year’s WrestleMania 38 event with Pat McAfee, which included a segment with WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, whom he took a stunner from.

Currently, Theory reigns as the United States Champion, a title Cena helped legitimize during his rise to superstardom, and is in the midst of a feud with former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley on Monday Night RAW.

MVP Responds to Reports About Hotel Confrontation with Chris Jericho

MVP has responded to reports going around about a hotel confrontation he had with Chris Jericho recently.

A report has begun circulating from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter detailing a confrontation between Porter and Jericho at a Houston hotel from when All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was in town. MVP lives in Houston and was aware AEW would be passing through.

The pair ran into each other around 1a.m. while Jericho was speaking to Matt Hardy. This led to a heated argument, which apparently stems form a falling out they had 18 months prior.

Things never got physical, as Jericho at one point told Porter he doesn’t fight jobbers. This apparently enraged MVP. Now, MVP has taken to Twitter to address the report making the rounds.

MVP said that, although they got the story right, the details seem to be wrong.

MVP is currently working with WWE as an on-screen talent, alongside Omos as his manager. He did get into the ring at the Hell In A Cell premium event this past weekend, teaming with Omos in a handicap match against Bobby Lashley.

Lashley came out on top in the matchup when it was all said and done, despite the odds. MVP had previously been aligned with Lashley as his manager, standing by his side throughout his WWE Title run.

However, the ex-United States Champion turned on “The Almighty” shortly after WrestleMania 38, after MVP felt that Lashley pushed him to the side after returning from injury. Now, the manager has aligned himself with a new giant in Omos.

Planned Matches For WWE Money In The Bank (Report)

Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley is the only match confirmed for WWE Money in the Bank, but planning for upcoming premium live event is well underway.

According to the Wrestling Observer, The Usos vs. Matt Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura for the Unified Tag Team Titles were scheduled for the show a week ago. However, WWE decided to do that match on SmackDown Live instead.

The new plan is to do The Usos vs. The Street Profits at the Vegas event. The story being The Street Profits beat The Usos in a non-title match on RAW, putting them in line for a shot at the titles.

Another match is a United States Title match between Theory and Bobby Lashley, which was teased recently.

WWE Money in the Bank takes place Saturday, July 2nd from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Money in the Bank Plans Changed

Initially, both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar were scheduled for the Money In The Bank show. However, both men were removed from advertising for the event, and the venue was downsized from the 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium to the 17,000-seat MGM Grand Garden.

Although Reigns has been removed from advertising from the show, discussions of having him headline the show were had as late as last week. Instead, they’ll keep Reigns on ice for the two summer stadium shows.

Those being SummerSlam from Nashville on July 30, and Clash at the Castle in Cardiff on September 3.

Speaking on the “Complex Unsanctioned” podcast, Athena said the more she kept seeing her friends from her indie days getting a platform on AEW pay-per-views (PPVs), the more she wanted to be a part of it.

“When you look at the AEW PPVs and you’re seeing all of my friends that I used to roll with on the indies and they’re finally getting the platform that they deserve and it’s just like, ‘Man, they look like they’re having so much fun and I gotta be a part of it,’ you know?”

“And it just kept setting in. It’s like the more time that went on there the more I was just looking at AEW, the more I was like longing to be at AEW.”

Moon got her call up to the main roster in 2018 after WrestleMania 34.

Unfortunately, her run on the main roster didn’t result in any meaningful push as a singles competitor, eventually landing her back in NXT in 2020.

She reigned as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions with Shotzi Blackheart, but was released soon after their title reign ended, leaving the company in November of 2021.

After a brief run on the independent circuit, Athena made her AEW debut at the Double Or Nothing PPV. She won her debut match on the June 3 episode of Dynamite, defeating Kiera Hogan.

  • Matt Hardy Reveals Hilarious Rib Owen Hart Pulled When They Met

Matt Hardy Reveals Hilarious Rib Owen Hart Pulled When They Met

Owen Hart pulled a hilarious rib on a young Matt Hardy when the pair first met in WWE.

Matt Hardy was recently a guest on Chris Jericho’s podcast, “Talk Is Jericho,” where he detailed the first time he met the late great Owen Hart. Hart was known as a notorious ribber, and Matt Hardy was on the receiving end during their first encounter.

Hart took Hardy aside before one of their matches and went over a spot with him that put some pain on Hardy’s knees.

The spot was ridiculous and after a few repetitions, Hardy finally asked if Hart was joking, to which Hart admitted he was.

“One of my favorite Owen stories is the first time he ribbed me, so to say,” Hardy said. “Like I didn’t know him, we were just extra.

“This is the fall of 1994, and I’m wrestling Owen in the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. So we’re there and he goes, ‘Oh yeah, people really like the Hardy kids.

“They take good bumps for all the guys. I really want to highlight you in the match. I have an idea, but I want to make sure you master it, that you’ve got it down.’ He said, ‘Follow me.’

“We walk out into the concourse, and he has this big tarp like you’d use to cover up something if it’s going to rain. A big plastic tarp.

“It’s laid out… he said, ‘Alright, let’s just get down on all fours in the center. Let’s pretend like this is the ring. Let’s say I take you down.

“I want you to take off like you’re trying to get to the ropes, but then I’ll stop you before you get there.

“Then you’ll go 90 degrees to your left and you try to get to the ropes there, and I’ll stop you again. Then you go 90 degrees to the left, and we’ll go to all four sides.

“It’ll really be like you’re resilient, and you’ll look great at this.’ I do it and we crawl, and he says, ‘That was really good. Let’s do it again.’ I was like, ‘God, this is going to hurt my knees.’ …

“We do it like four or five times, and then on the fifth time he’s asking me to do it, I go, ‘Dude, are you messing with me?’ He says, ‘Yes! What took you so long to catch on?!’”

Both Hardy brothers, Matt and Jeff, were fortunate enough to share the ring with Owen Hart in 1994, just before his untimely passing in 1999.

In fact, Matt Hardy recently shared a clip from their match on his Twitter account.

Hart was involved in a tragic accident during the Over The Edge pay-per-view (PPV) event in Kansas City, Missouri, where he fell from the rafters of the Kemper Arena, into the ring. This was prior to a scheduled match with The Godfather.

The match ultimately never took place due to Hart’s accident, which was briefly addressed by commentator Jim Ross on the live broadcast.

After being transferred to a nearby hospital, Hart was subsequently pronounced dead. Ross made the announcement on the show shortly thereafter, which continued on despite the incident.

The accident resulted in a broken relationship between WWE and Hart’s widow, Martha Hart. While WWE may not be getting Martha Hart’s blessing to go into the WWE Hall Of Fame anytime soon, she has allowed Hart’s name to resurface in professional wrestling.

Recently, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) hosted a men and women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, which was won by Adam Cole and Britt Baker, respectively. Martha Hart made appearances on AEW TV promoting the tournament.

Triple H Attends Declan McMahon’s High School Graduation (Photos)

Triple H recently attended the graduation ceremony of his nephew, Declan McMahon, the son of brother-in-law Shane McMahon.

Declan graduated from the Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn. During his time there, he played football for the school, at positions such as running back and quarterback. Now, he’ll head to Indiana University, where he’ll also play football.

Recently, Declan took to Instagram to share some photos from his graduation ceremony, where he posed with uncle Triple H. Check out the photos here.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CehgKlULzTw/

As for Declan’s father, Shane, he’s currently on the outs in WWE. This began back in January at the Royal Rumble. Shane took a lot of heat for his part in helping produce the Men’s Royal Rumble.

Shane was actually involved in the match. Plans for Shane to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, as well as being part of the Elimination Chamber match this past February, were scrapped.

He also reportedly pushed to work with Theory at WrestleMania 38, with Vince McMahon also being involved, however, those plans ultimately ended up with Pat McAfee. Declan’s aunt, Stephanie McMahon, recently decided to take time off from the company.

Stephanie McMahon announced a leave of absence to spend more time with her family, leading to WWE searching for a replacement for her position. Her husband, Triple H, is now back with WWE full-time.

“The Game” did deal with a health scare earlier this year, which forced him to retire from in-ring competition. He later revealed that he was dealing with affects from pneumonia and heart complications.

  • Kane Praises Vince McMahon For Perfecting PPV Model

Kane Praises Vince McMahon For Perfecting PPV Model

WWE Hall Of Famer Kane praises Vince McMahon for perfecting the pay-per-view (PPV) model.

Kane was recently a guest on the Honest Offense podcast and praised his longtime boss for his impact on the business. “The Big Red Machine” noted, while McMahon didn’t invent the PPV model, he certainly perfected it.

“You look at pay-per-view, if you go to www.payperview.com, you get redirected to WWE. Vince did not invent pay-per-view, but you can make an argument that he was the guy that perfected it.

“He was ahead of the curve there. We had a huge presence on the internet in 1995, before anyone really knew what the internet was. We were doing chat rooms and all sorts of stuff.

“Then, you look at the app that came out, which was kind of not great, but he recognized before a lot of people did that folks were migrating away from their TV and to their computer and now they are migrating from their computer to a handheld device.

“When the app came out, we were like, ‘we’re behind the curve.’ The reason for that was, they were thinking about WWE Network, which originally was going to be a cable network, and then he decided ‘we’re going put it online, move all the pay-per-views to a monthly subscription,’ we all thought he was crazy for that because pay-per-view made up half the companies revenue.

“He was completely changing the business model. I remember, the stock sunk, ‘Vince McMahon is an idiot,’ people were talking about suing. Now, the company is making more money than ever.

“Vince is not a huge technophile, I don’t even know if he can login to his own email, but he doesn’t have to. All he has to do is see where the trends are going and he gets ahead of them, everyone thinks he’s crazy, sure enough, he’s making all the money.

“That’s his true brilliance. He can figure out where entertainment, technology, and delivery is going and he ends up getting there first. It’s like he has a weird ESP about it.“

Kane has worked alongside McMahon since 1995 when he signed with WWE. He was ushered into the company in one of the biggest storylines of all time, portraying the Kane character in 1997, who was introduced as The Undertaker’s brother.

The rest, as they say, was history. Kane is a two-time World Champion in WWE, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, and an 11-time Tag Team Champion with partners such as The Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, X-Pac, and more.

Now, Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, is in the political ring, currently serving as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

  • Jeff Jarrett Claims AJ Styles Was ‘Essentially Forced Out’ of IMPACT

Jeff Jarrett Claims AJ Styles Was ‘Essentially Forced Out’ of IMPACT

WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett claims AJ Styles was essentially “forced out” of IMPACT Wrestling before joining WWE.

Jarrett recently took to his podcast, “My World” and touched on Styles departing from IMPACT in 2014. This was just as Jarrett was making his exit from the company towards the end of 2013.

The WWE Hall of Famer notes Styles’ money was being cut, but the promotion didn’t want to cut his dates. IMPACT also began treating Styles, one of the founding pillars of the promotion, rather harshly, essentially forcing him to make the move to leave.

“I resigned December 21, 2013. In early December is when the Carter’s put the nail in the coffin for me and Toby (Keith) to acquire majority interest. We knew it was game, set, match.

“It was not happening. I knew I had to go. I knew Dixie’s position on all of it because of the, for lack of a better word, the financial de-spiral the company was in.

“AJ’s money was getting cut. They wanted to cut AJ’s money but not dates. He said, ‘If you cut my money, I’m cutting my dates.’ It was not just AJ’s contract. It was everybody’s. He was a complete, utter mess.

“AJ was so willing to commit to the product that he was willing to re-sign. I found this out later. They said some awful things and had devalued AJ. They basically forced AJ against his will to leave.

“That’s how committed AJ Styles was to the brand. He was TNA through and through. He had to be essentially forced out.”

Styles had been with IMPACT since 2002. Over the course of his career with the promotion, he racked up a plethora of titles and accolades, including two TNA World Heavyweight Championship runs, six X Division Title wins, and a three-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

After departing from IMPACT in 2014, Styles made appearances for Ring Of Honor (ROH), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), and various independent promotions. However, in January of 2016, Styles finally made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble.

“Road Dogg was very instrumental in bringing AJ into WWE because of his position at the time with the company.

“AJ was such a tried and true, and committed to his core. He was going to go back to IMPACT with Doc and Karl before he signed with WWE. He was that committed to the brand.”

  • Major WWE Superstar Reportedly Turns Babyface

Major WWE Superstar Reportedly Turns Babyface

One major WWE Superstar has reportedly turned babyface after this week’s Monday Night RAW.

As seen yesterday on RAW, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is out of The Judgement Day Faction. Finn Balor was introduced as the newest member of the group, before the trio attacked Edge and kicked him out.

Balor has seemingly been positioned as the faction’s new leader. PWInsider reports that the attack on Edge has led WWE to move Edge over to the “babyface” side of their internal roster.

This comes quite close to the announcement that Cody Rhodes, previously the top babyface on RAW, was announced to need surgery, and will be sidelined for some time. Rhodes will undergo surgery Wednesday, and his recovery time is expected to be around six months.

As for The Judgement Day, the faction of Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley defeated Balor, AJ Styles, and Liv Morgan at the Hell In A Cell premium event over the weekend, with Balor taking the pinfall.

However, Balor joined the faction the following night, before joining Priest in attacking Edge and kicking him out of the group. To close out RAW, Rhea Ripley picked up a Fatal Four-Way win to earn the next shot at the RAW Women’s Title against Bianca Belair at Money In The Bank.

Since kicking out Edge, Balor and Priest have been taunting “The Rated-R Superstar” on social media. Edge has yet to comment on the betrayal as of this writing.

The Judgement Day started at WrestleMania 38 when Damian Priest assisted Edge in picking up a win over AJ Styles at “The Show Of Shows.”

John Cena Seemingly Reacts to Theory’s HIAC Victory

John Cena seems to have reacted to Theory retaining the United States Title at Hell In A Cell last night.

Theory topped Mustafa Ali at the WWE Premium Event in Chicago, retaining his United States Title. Hours after the match, Cena took to his Instagram to share a photo of a boot stepping on the United States Title he himself once held during his rise to superstardom.

    Check it out here:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CedXjwiteGs/

The United States Championship was the first major singles title John Cena ever won in his WWE run. He truly turned the title into something important, and has one of the most memorable runs with the title in history.

Eventually, he’d go on to top JBL for the WWE Title soon after, beginning his reign as WWE’s poster-boy for the next decade-and-a-half. Many have compared Theory to Cena, seeing lots of similarities between the two.

There has been a lot of speculation about a potential match between Theory and Cena at SummerSlam this year, and Cena’s latest Instagram post only adds fuel to that fire.

Theory certainly seems to be favored backstage. He’s been paired up as the storyline favorite of Vince McMahon himself. He also had a segment with WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38.

Should Theory get the nod to work with Cena at SummerSlam, it should all but confirm that the company has very big hopes and plans for the 24-year-old moving forward.

  • Booker T Reveals Which Ex-WWE Women’s Champ Locker Room Did Not Like

Booker T Reveals Which Ex-WWE Women’s Champ Locker Room Did Not Like

Booker T has revealed one former WWE Women’s Champion that the locker room wasn’t a fan of during her time with the company.

Recently, the two-time WWE Hall Of Famer took to his podcast “The Hall Of Fame” to discuss several professional wrestling topics. During that time, Booker touched on former WWE Women’s Champion Melina, and her time with WWE.

Booker noted “I really like Melina now,” but did admit that he “did not like Melina in her day, no one did.” This is something that has certainly been brought up by others before.

Candace Michelle once noted that she and Melina “hated each other” and almost had a shoot fight inside the ring.

Melina doesn’t get recognized as a WWE legend the way her peers such as Trish Stratus and Lita do. Booker speculates if that’s because “the departure of Melina more than anything.”

“She was one of those that owned it, she wanted to be the best in the ring and she was hell to deal with in the locker room,” Booker said.

“I think she would attest to that, perhaps, these days … And I have always said this, as far as talent go, there was nobody better than Melina.”

He then went on to explain an interaction he had with Melina, admitting she was “very controversial in WWE when she was there,” but never doubted her greatness inside of the ring.

When he got the opportunity to tell Melina that, she “almost started crying.”

“None of it had to do with her in-ring prowess or anything like that,” Booker T said in regards to Melina’s backstage heat. “… I said, ‘Melina, I always thought you were the best female wrestler in that damn locker room in your time,’ and I really believe that.”

Melina hasn’t been full-time with WWE since 2011. However, she has made sporadic appearances since then. She was a surprise entrant in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble.

Although there were rumors about her returning to the company, nothing ever came to fruition.

  • Cody Rhodes Set for Surgery, Potential Timeframe for Return Revealed

Cody Rhodes Set for Surgery, Potential Timeframe for Return Revealed

Cody Rhodes is set to undergo surgery this week for his torn pectoral muscle.

It was announced over the weekend that Rhodes had suffered an injury ahead of his Hell In A Cell match with Seth Rollins last night in Chicago.

After rumors began to circulate, WWE confirmed the news on their broadcast, claiming Rhodes partially tore the pectoral muscle during a brawl with Seth Rollins, and later fully tore it during a weight lifting session.

Despite this, Cody Rhodes still competed inside Hell In A Cell against Rollins last night in what was an all-time classic, eventually securing the victory. However, he’ll now need to undergo surgery and rehab, which will keep him sidelined for some time.

Recovery Time from Pectoral Tear Surgery

According to the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute, the rehab process for such an injury can take anywhere from six months to a year. The first part of the rehab process consists of managing the pain and swelling and initiating a range of motion in the shoulder and arm.

Light strength training usually begins about 2 to 3 months after surgery. It can take up to a year to regain normal strength in the repaired pectoralis major.

This is a big setback for WWE, who has been priming Rhodes as their top baby face on Monday Night RAW since making his triumphant return at WrestleMania 38.

With the expected recovery time, this will likely affect WWE’s top spot for the majority of the year. All that being said, a return at WrestleMania 39 is looking like the best case scenario for “The All American Nightmare.”

Injuries seem to be running rampant in professional wrestling at the moment, as All Elite Wrestling (AEW) recently lost World Champion CM Punk to an injury that will require surgery as well.

AEW was forced to create an interim title while CM Punk works his way back up to health. We’ll keep you updated on Cody Rhodes’ injury situation as more information becomes available.
