Seth Rollins Wants AJ Styles Match On SDL (Video), WWE On Paige’s Retirement, Ember Moon

– Next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW will kick off the two-day Superstar Shakeup event. WWE posted a backstage interview between Mike Rome and Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, who is currently on the red brand.

In regards to the Superstar Shakeup, Rollins said he doesn’t know what to expect and doesn’t know if champions are exempt. The Architect said he believes we’re in for a few surprises, and noted if he does take off to SmackDown Live he’d love to face AJ Styles for the WWE Title:

– As we’ve noted, Paige officially announced her retirement from in-ring competition on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW. WWE released the following statement on the matter:

Paige retires from in-ring competition

Citing medical reasons, Paige made the difficult decision to retire from in-ring competition during the April 9 edition of Monday Night Raw after four years in WWE.

In an emotional address, the brave Superstar thanked Daniel Bryan for his inspiration, WWE Hall of Famer Edge for showing her there is life after sports-entertainment, the WWE Universe for their support and WWE for allowing her to do what she loves to do.

A trailblazing Superstar who won the Divas Championship in her Monday Night Raw debut, Paige truly made the most of her four-year career and will surely find tremendous success in whatever she chooses to do next.

– Last night on RAW former NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon made her main roster debut, as she teamed up with RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax to defeat Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in a Tag Team match.

WWE posted the following video of Mike Rome interviewing both Jax and Moon to get their reaction on their win:

IMPACT Responds To Kurt Angle’s TNA Name-Drop On RAW

This past Sunday at WrestleMania 34 Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn lost their Tag Team match to Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon – meaning they are out of a job on SmackDown Live.

Now on the hunt for a job, Owens and Zayn made an appearance on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW. They asked Kurt Angle for a job to which Angle responded with “My tag team division is full, but I hear TNA is hiring.”

Fans in the crowd and online went nuts for the line, and this prompted IMPACT Wrestling to respond on Twitter by saying “We Are IMPACT,” correcting Angle for calling them TNA:

Angle later allowed Zayn and Owens to fight in a singles match, where the winner would receive a RAW contract. Unfortunately for the pair they fought to a draw and neither one received the RAW deal, as chants of “TNA” broke out in the crowd.

In regards to Angle saying TNA is hiring, IMPACT’s Twitter account also responded by saying they didn’t take it as an insult:

Information On Paige’s WWE Future Following Retirement

As we’ve noted, last night’s RAW featured a segment in which former WWE Divas Champion Paige finally announced her career inside the ring has come to an end.

This past December Paige suffered an injury at a house show after taking a hard kick to the back from Sasha Banks. Paige was stretchered out to the back before leaving the arena on her own power.

A month later news broke that WWE would not be clearing Paige to compete for them inside the ring ever again, comparing the situation to that of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge.

For the next several months WWE and Paige did not acknowledge these reports, however, she was held off from physical work on WWE TV – instead simply accompanying Sonya Deville and Many Rose out to the ring.

On last night’s RAW, following Mandy Rose’s win over Sasha Banks in singles action, Paige got on the mic and confirmed that her in-ring career with WWE is over. She thanked her family, the WWE Women’s Division, Daniel Bryan for giving her hope, and Edge for some recent advise.

PWInsider now reports that this segment was Paige’s final scheduled appearance on WWE TV. There’s currently no word on the plans for Absolution’s Mandy Rose and Sonya Devile, but Paige will remain on the cast of E!’s Total Divas and will also help promote WWE Studios’ “Fighting With My Family” movie.

WWE could possibly keep Paige around in Orlando as a trainer in the Performance Center.

Gail Kim Shares Story About Vince McMahon Watching TNA Backstage

Last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW featured a segment between General Manager Kurt Angle, and recently fired SmackDown Live stars Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Owens and Zayn came to Angle in hopes of landing jobs, and Angle put the pair in a match against each other in which the winner would receive a RAW contract. The Olympic Hero was hesitant to give Owens and Zayn a chance at first, dropping the line “My tag team division is full, but I hear TNA is hiring.”

The line received a huge pop from the crowd and the professional wrestling internet community. Former WWE Women’s Champion and current IMPACT Wrestling Producer Gail Kim took to Twitter shortly after the segment aired.

Kim shared an interesting story of Vince McMahon watching a special episode of TNA backstage at a WWE event:

WWE Reportedly Already Has Plans For Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania 35

Ronda Rousey really impressed during her performance at WrestleMania 34 this past weekend in New Orleans.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion teamed up with Kurt Angle to take on the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and the four put on one of the best matches of the night.

Rousey picked up the win for her team by locking in an armbar on Stephanie McMahon, forcing her to tap out. The following night on RAW, McMahon attempted to bury the hatchet with Rousey – who instead pulled a flying armbar on McMahon after ripping off her cast.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Rousey’s impact on WWE has been so big that the company is already talking about her main eventing next year’s WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey.

No opponent was specifically named for the potential match, but if there’s anyone with the star-power to put on the first-ever female match to main event a WrestleMania card – it’s Ronda Rousey.

Details Behind Brock Lesnar’s New WWE Deal, UFC Fight Option

Earlier today (Mon. April 9, 2018) WWE announced that they had re-signed Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to a fresh new deal. It was also announced that he would defend his strap against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage match in three weeks at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.

MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer reports some new details on Lesnar’s contract with WWE. He noted that, although the length of Lesnar’s new deal with WWE wasn’t announced, sources say that it’s a short-term contract.

The deal also allows him to do at least one UFC fight, however, it remains unclear if he is allowed to fight in multiple UFC fights. This is a bit of a risk for the UFC, as President Dana White recently said the winner of the heavyweight title bout between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic this summer could possibly defend against Lesnar next.

While Lesnar would be the underdog in a fight against either man, there’s still a possibility that The Beast could win the UFC heavyweight title again. If Lesnar’s WWE deal doesn’t allow him to do more than one UFC fight, however, he wouldn’t be able to defend the UFC heavyweight title.

Another thing to keep in mind is the fact that Lesnar pulled himself from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug testing pool. Lesnar would need to re-enter the testing pool and give six months of clean tests before being allowed to fight again.

Video: Samoa Joe Makes Return From Injury On RAW, Confronts Roman Reigns

Back in January former WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe suffered an injury to his foot during a match with Rhyno on RAW.

The injury kept him out-of-action for several months before The Destroyer was able to make his return to WWE TV tonight (Mon. April 9, 2018) on the RAW after WrestleMania 34. Joe confronted Roman Reigns, who was in the middle of a promo in which he discussed his loss to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar last night.

Joe said that Reigns is a failure and he’ll be waiting for The Big Dog at Backlash following Reigns’ rematch with Lesnar at The Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia:

Paige Announces Retirement From In-Ring Competition On RAW

This past December Paige suffered a hard kick from Sasha Banks in Six-Woman Tag Team match at a house show. The match was brought to an abrupt end and Paige was stretchered to the back before leaving the arena under her own power.

Just a month later news broke that Paige’s in-ring career with the company was now over as the former Divas Champion would never be cleared by WWE for in-ring competition again. Her situation was compared to that of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge.

For the past several weeks WWE did not acknowledge these reports and instead only went as far as saying that an injury was keeping Paige out-of-action. That all ended today (Mon. April 9, 2018) on the Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania 34.

Paige was given some mic time following a Mandy Rose win over Sasha Banks, and announced to the WWE Universe that she can no longer work as an in-ring performer.

She proceeded to thank the likes of the WWE’s Women Division, her family, Edge, and Daniel Bryan. Paige also noted that Daniel Bryan gave her hope after returning to WrestleMania 34 last night as a competitor following some injury woes of his own.

Paige also noted that New Orleans was where she made her main roster debut four years ago, still NXT Women’s Champion, defeating AJ Lee for the Divas Title the night after WrestleMania 30.

Chants of “Thank You Paige” and “This Is Your House” broke out before Paige left the ring.

Video: Ex-WWE Champion Returns On Tonight’s RAW

The RAW after WrestleMania always presents some huge surprises, and tonight (Mon. April 9, 2018) has been no different thus far.

During newly-crowned Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins’ celebration, Finn Balor came out to interrupt the festivities. Balor intended to challenge Rollins for the title before The Miz came out to invoke his rematch clause at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view (PPV).

The Miz and his Miztourage (Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas) then threatened a 3-on-2 brawl against Rollins and Balor. Just before anything happened, former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy’s music hit and he came to Rollins and Balor’s aid:

Hardy has been out-of-action since September when he suffered a torn rotator cuff and shoulder labrum. He was initially given a six month recovery time and announced at the Hall Of Fame Ceremony this past Saturday that he’d been cleared to wrestle.

Rey Mysterio Backstage At WrestleMania, Enzo Update, Bryan-Vanguard1

– Rey Mysterio was backstage at WrestleMania, according to PWInsider. Mysterio made a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble in January and is rumored to be in talks with the company about a return. Mysteiro had been scheduled to compete at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Strong Style Evolved event last month, but had to withdraw from the match due to injury. He did appear and assured the fans he’ll be wrestling for NJPW soon.

– Over the past week there was a rumor that Enzo Amore’s accuser had with drawn her charges against the former WWE Superstar. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reached out to Phoenix police, who told him that the case is still open.

– Popular Twitter account @Totaldivaseps joked that the video sequence that aired as part of Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania entrance appeared to be shot by Matt Hardy’s Vanguard1 drone. Woken Matt took notice and stated that Vanguard1 gifted Bryan one of its Aerial Assault Robots.

Gladiators From Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania Entrance Identified

SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair had one of the best WrestleMania entrances of the night in New Orleans for her title defense against Asuka. Charlotte made her way to the ring accompanied by three men dressed as gladiators – a bit of a callback to when Flair served as one of the masked women involved in Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance alongside Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks.

It turns out the three men dressed as gladiators for Charlotte’s entrance were NXT stars Tino Sabatelli, Riddick Moss and Dan Matha:

As for Flair’s match, she became the first woman to ever defeat Asuka in WWE history. Flair ended Asuka’s undefeated streak of 914 days with a Figure-Eight that nobody was expecting would force The Empress Of Tomorrow to submit. Despite Asuka being favored to walk out of New Orleans with the gold, Flair pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the night in an incredible match.

Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt On Their New Alliance, Sasha Warns Bayley Ahead Of RAW

– As seen last night at WrestleMania, Bray Wyatt returned to WWE TV to assist “Woken” Matt Hardy in winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This comes several weeks removed from Hardy DELETING Wyatt on The Ultimate Deletion on RAW.

Wyatt was tossed into the Lake Of Reincarnation and many speculated he could return as a new character. It seems that now Wyatt and Hardy will be allies on RAW moving forward. The pair took to Twitter to comment on their newfound friendship:

https://twitter.com/WWEBrayWyatt/status/983119597611122688

– As seen in last night’s first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, Bayley eliminated Sasha Banks to further add to their budding rivalry. It’s expected the pair will confront one another on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

The Legit Boss took to Twitter to post a message to Bayley as we’re just hours away from showtime:

Lesnar & Rollins Make History At WrestleMania, Aiden English Mania Haircut

– WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar successfully defended his title against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34 last night. Many considered the result an upset since WWE has been building up a storyline between Reigns and Lesnar for the past four years, with the expected payoff being The Big Dog taking his place atop the WWE mountain by dethroning Lesnar. Instead, The Beast won the bout after busting Reigns open terribly and hitting a sixth F5 that sealed the deal. In doing so, Lesnar became the first WWE Superstar since Hulk Hogan to hold a World Title from one WrestleMania to the next the following year.

Hogan did it back in 1989 when he defeated Randy Savage for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania V. He lost it the following year against the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI. Lesnar won the Universal Title last year at WrestleMania 33 from Goldberg and successfully retained it a year later at The Show Of Shows against Reigns.

– Also at WrestleMania, Seth Rollins defeated The Miz and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat match to win the Intercontinental Championship. With the win Rollins becomes a Grand Slam Champion. WWE posted the following YouTube video of Mike Rome interviewing Rollins after the win.

The Architect said he was fortunate enough to share the ring with two of the best in the world at WrestleMania, and is proud to be Grand Slam Rollins. Check it out:

– Aiden English competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal last night at WrestleMania with a full head of hair. It seems that while backstage after the match he decided to shave his head, before coming out with Rusev for the Fatal-Four Way match for the United States Title:

Asuka Reacts To First Loss In WWE (Video)

The streak is over, but Women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka doesn’t sound too upset about it. Charlotte successfully retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania with a shocking submission victory. In the process, she ended Asuka’s undefeated WWE streak that lasted 914 days. The tap out seemingly came out of nowhere, especially in light of Asuka being favored to capture the gold.

After the match Asuka got on the mic and said that Charlotte was ready for Asuka, before they embraced. WWE posted a video on their YouTube channel capturing the moments after Asuka came backstage following her loss.

The Japanese star seemed pleased with the match she and Charlotte put together, and hugged two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair and Charlotte as well. Asuka also noted that she’s happy Flair was the one to end her streak and defeat here.

Styles vs. Nakamura Notes, Nia Jax Reacts To Her WrestleMania Win

Last night at WrestleMania, WWE Champion AJ Styles defended his title against 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura in a “dream match” for the WWE Universe. Despite all the hype and the potential, the match has received mixed reviews from fans and pundits alike. Many described the match as slow paced without the drama and excitement Styles and Nakamura’s matches are typically known for.

While the finish was pretty creative, there weren’t any huge false finishes, ridiculous high spots, or anything else that knocked fans’ socks off. There was actually a “boring” chant from the crowd during the match. The match’s placement on the near seven hour card didn’t help matters much either, as crowd fatigue set in mid-way through the marathon show.

Nakamura’s surprise attack on Styles after the match signifies a heel turn from the Japanese Superstar and likely the continuation of this program.

– Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss last night at WrestleMania 34 to become the new RAW Women’s Champion. This comes after weeks of Bliss bullying Jax for being and looking different.

WWE posted a video of Jax after her win, who said she’s happy with the message the match sends out to young boys and girls – not to take crap from people who make you feel insecure about yourself:

Daniel Bryan Reflects On His Return, Kenny Omega On WrestleMania, More

– Daniel Bryan is back where he belongs – inside a WWE ring. After years of battling concussions, seizures, and a blockade from WWE’s medical staff – Bryan finally returned to in-ring competition at last night’s WrestleMania in New Orleans.

Bryan was cleared to return to the ring several weeks ago after passing tests from numerous doctors referred to him by WWE’s Medical Director Joseph Maroon. He then entered into a feud with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who attacked Bryan on SmackDown Live after firing the pair.

The former WWE World Heavyweight champion fired Owens and Zayn for their assault on SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon the previous week. Bryan then announced he would team with Shane O’Mac against Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania in a Tag Team match. Had Owens and Zayn won, they would’ve been reinstated on SmackDown.

Bryan and McMahon were attacked from behind early on in the bout, with Bryan being put on a stretcher after getting hit with a powerbomb on the ring apron. He later made his triumphant return into the match to bring his team back, and hooked the YES! Lock on Sami Zayn, who was forced to tap out.

WWE released the following video of Bryan reflecting on his WrestleMania return, and also his daughter getting to see him wrestle. Check it out here:

– New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Kenny Omega was asked on Twitter what he was doing during the biggest professional wrestling show in the world. It turns out The Cleaner was too busy playing video games instead of watching the New Orleans show:

– Speaking of WrestleMania, The Miz dropped his Intercontinental Title to Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match that featured Finn Balor in the opening bout of the main card. Just prior to this, however, The Miz got to meet the stars of “Impractical Jokers” Sal Vulcano and Brian Quinn.

Vulcano and Quinn said that Miz would cheat in his match, which upset Miz (who just so happened to be walking by) a bit. Check it out here:

Paul Heyman Says Brock Lesnar Is In A Class Of His Own

Paul Heyman recently did an interview with USA Today’s “For The Win” to promote WrestleMania 34, and his client Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title defense against Roman Reigns. Here are the highlights:

Brock Lesnar will take the stage at WrestleMania having held the universal title for more than 365 days – the longest reign of his career. Where does Brock’s reign rank among the great heavyweight champions?

“I never rank Brock alongside anyone else, because I don’t think Brock belongs in a category that should be shared by others. Brock Lesnar is the most unique athlete in this history of World Wrestling Entertainment, and I say that with without embellishment or exaggeration.

“A, there’s no one that has his credentials that has ever stepped into the ring. B, I daresay there’s no one that has his ability, either in the aspect of entertainment or in the aspect of legitimate fighting, that’s ever stepped into the ring. And C, he is the only person in history that has been able to go back and forth between mixed martial arts and sports entertainment with this level of success. So I never compare Brock to others, nor others to Brock, because I feel he’s a category all unto himself.”

You shared an amazing photo on Twitter from when you managed the Samoan Swat Team – what was that experience like and how well did you get to know that family?

“I’ve known the members of Roman Reigns’ family since I was 15 years old. Afa and Sika [Reigns’ father] were very generous with their time and their teachings with me and to me. I knew Roman Reigns when he used to come into the locker room with his father, holding his father’s hand, barely out of diapers. And I don’t say that as an ironic statement… I mean it sincerely. So I’ve known Roman Reigns his entire life and I’ve known his family and worked with his family since I was 15 years old. I had a wild time with the Samoan Swat Team in 1989. Samu and Fatu, who’s now better known as Rikishi, were just coming into WCW from Dallas, Texas, and they were as wild as wild could be.

“There are famous stories about wars we had on the road, on the highways, with Sting and the Steiners that are legendary in the South. I, to this day, am blackballed from renting a car in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, because of the Samoan Swat Team…. It was a most unique experience for me, but it was a learning experience because I learned so much about the culture and the upbringing and the closeness of that family.

“Without any kind of exaggeration, there’s about 100 members of that family that are in and around and involved in the pro wrestling business. They all have each other’s back, they all have a passion for this industry – or the others won’t allow them in. So for Roman Reigns to now step up as the leader of the family, and taking the family name and legacy into the main event of WrestleMania for the fourth consecutive year is an awful lot of pressure on Roman Reigns. And I commend him on the dignity with which he carries that legacy.”

People love to speculate about who you may advocate for in the future – but it’s very clear that you have a special connection with Brock Lesnar. If Vince McMahon told you ‘hey, I want you with so-and-so tomorrow,’ is that something that could even work, or do you have to be invested in that performer first?

“Yes, I would have to be invested in that person first. B, I think I have established such credibility in the things that I say with Brock Lesnar, that I don’t envision Vince McMahon forcing someone to be paired with me – because unless I truly believe in that person, I don’t think Vince would want me to advocate for them. And again, to be blunt here, Brock and I are fully committed to making this WrestleMania, April 8th in the main event with Roman Reigns, as memorable an event as has ever been presented by WWE. Neither one of us has made the commitment to stay after April 8th yet because we’re so focused on April 8th.

“Brock is very task-oriented. He learned that on the dairy farm in Webster, South Dakota, when he was a child. 5 a.m., wake up, milk the cows. 7:30 a.m., get the eggs from the chickens. You handle the wheat at 11:00 a.m. And he takes on each task as it stands in front of him. We both made the commitment through April 8th. I can, with great candor, tell you I have no idea WrestleMania for either one of us in this business, because Brock is obviously eyeballing a return to the octagon.

“It’s no secret now. I’m developing projects in a co-production between my agency, the Looking 4 Larry agency, and Roy Bank’s Banca Studio, to pitch to networks. Whether that means April 8th is the last day in this industry? I don’t know yet, and I’m very comfortable with that because it just allows us to laser-focus on putting together the greatest main event possible for this year’s WrestleMania.”

Ronda Rousey Reportedly Wants To Work With Paul Heyman

It looks like The Rowdy One has interest in becoming the first-ever Paul Heyman Girl – but don’t hold your breathe on the possibility.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reports Rousey wants to have Heyman advocate for her in the ring. That’s highly unlikely to happen, however, due to backstage politics between Heyman and the McMahons.

Rousey is being booked up to be a huge babyface fighting against the authoritarian figure of Stephanie McMahon. Heyman is seen as a heel on WWE TV, despite the fact that current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is received as a babyface due to Heyman’s representation.

Discussion: Does having Heyman paired up with Rousey make sense? Would Rousey do better as a heel? Will WWE bite the bullet and allow Heyman to advocate for The Rowdy One?

Triple H On The Potential Of Adam Cole

WWE COO Triple H recently did an interview with ESPN to talk about several professional wrestling topics. One such topic was NXT Superstar Adam Cole. The Game had some high praise for Cole and believes he has a very bright future with the company. Here’s what he had to say:

“I think he plays a very big role, probably, in what WWE will be over the [next few] years. He’s a very talented young man, lot of charisma. That’s the thing that I would say first. Talented in-ring performer, absolutely, but the charisma and the character, that’s there. Great human being, too. Those are the things that make me happy about his success, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with all the things that are coming his way, and how he takes advantage of them

“The truth is, we can put the opportunity out there, but what’s done with it and where it goes is on the talen, I say that all the time. We just set the table, and you can say whether it was set right or it was set wrong, but we set the table, and they get the opportunity. Everybody has the chance to knock that opportunity out of the park, and to run with it. He, so far, has. Hopefully he will continue to.”

Indication WWE Could Change Big Cass’ Name

With rumors circulating that Big Cass is nearing a return to WWE TV, following a torn ACL suffered several months ago, it appears he could possibly be returning under a new name. WWE filed to trademark the name “Colin Cassady” on  March 30th, 2018. This was Cass’ name before being known as Big Cass in WWE.

Perhaps WWE is attempting to remove any sort of association with Enzo Amore by bringing back Cass as a new character. Here is WWE’s explanation of what they plan on trademarking the “Colin Cassady” name for:

“Entertainment services, namely wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio and via the internet or commercial online services; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment; fan club services; organizing and staging entertainment events with wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the fields of sports entertainment”

Sheamus Pokes Fun At Conor McGregor Following Recent Arrest

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has landed himself in some hot water over this past week. The Irishman attacked a UFC fighter bus by tossing a dolly at it and breaking a window. The glass cut UFC lightweight Michael Chiesa – forcing him to pull from his fight against Anthony Pettis  and also landed glass fragments in the eye of UFC flyweight Ray Borg – also forced to pull from his respective bout.

McGregor later turned himself into the local authorities hours after the incident and is awaiting bail. The attack was in retaliation for tomorrow’s UFC 223 pay-per-view (PPV) main event fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov punking McGregor’s teammate, Artem Lobov, in their hotel earlier this week. Nurmagomedov was on the bus that was attacked.

Sheamus took to Instagram to poke fun at The Notorious One, posting a picture of a dolly and saying it will be Braun Strowman’s partner at WrestleMania on Sunday:

The Miz Gets Upset Over WrestleMania Advertisement Snub

WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is set to defend his title in a Triple Threat match against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 34 this weekend. The Miz has experienced many snubs in the WWE promotional department in the past, but to be left off an advertisement for The Grandest Stage Of Them All as a title-holder – it’s the ultimate disrespect.

Before Miz made his scheduled appearance at the Cricket Wireless store in New Orleans, he took to Instagram to comment on being left off the ad. Check it out:

Natalya Praises Ronda Rousey’s Work Ethic

Ex-UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is officially now a WWE Superstar. Rousey is expected to make her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 this weekend in New Orleans. She will team up with WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team match.

The Queen Of Harts recently did a column for The Edmonton Sun and praised The Rowdy One’s work ethic in her professional wrestling career. Here’s what she had to say:

“At the Royal Rumble, no one could forget the debut of Ronda Rousey. Ronda is one of the most prominent names and a pioneer for female athletes. To have her join our roster of strong, empowered women is truly awesome. Ronda is very special in so many ways. She is a dedicated athlete who is passionate about what she believes in. What I love about her is that she makes no apologies for who she is.

“If she has a dream, she goes for it, even if she’s not entirely sure how it’s going to all work out. She knows that if she gives it her all and puts in the work, she won’t have regrets. I respect Ronda, I admire her and I’m proud to call her a friend. I also can’t wait to wrestle her one day!”

The Rock Reveals Past Real Issues With John Cena

The Rock is currently on a media tour to promote his new film “Rampage.” It just so happens his old WrestleMania foe, John Cena, is doing to same to promote his own movie “Blockers.” The Great One recently made an appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show and was asked about Cena’s Hollywood success.

Rock was asked if he and The Leader Of The Cenation have any real tension with one another, because although they feuded in the WWE, the rivalry wasn’t real. The former WWE Champion actually corrected Kimmel and revealed some real issues he had with Cena:

“In the world of wrestling, as you guys know, it’s fictionalized, it’s a TV show. But we had our rivalry, and now we can look back on it, it was so real. Like, we had real problems with each other,” Johnson said. “We had real issues with each other.

“Now… he’s one of my best friends,” Johnson said. “We talk all the time, I’m rooting for him to win.”

Alexa Bliss On What Ronda Rousey Brings To WWE

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with TV Insider to promote her WrestleMania 34 title defense against Nia Jax. Bliss first discussed her appreciation for WWE’s creative team and not knowing how she’ll make her WrestleMania entrance yet:

“Our creative team is awesome. They always take our suggestions for entrances. We always try to work with them because sometimes they have some ideas for us or sometimes there are no ideas at all. So, we just have to mesh together and be open to suggestions on both ends. Our creative teams and writing teams are always great about that.”

Little Miss Bliss then talked about her feud with Nia Jax and their build-up to their bout in New Orleans:

“It has been a very real road with Nia. We both have struggled with image issues in the past. So, it’s a very real subject that we are bringing to light with mine and Nia’s story. I think because it’s an actual issue, people can relate. There are people who are bullied or are bullies.

“I think it’s one of those things that people are going to be invested in our story because it’s real and there is real emotion behind it. People know that me and Nia up to this point were best friends, which they’ve seen through Monday Night Raw and Total Divas. Now our storyline is more personal; I think that is what getting people into what we are doing.”

The RAW Women’s Champ then offered her thoughts on ex-UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey joining the roster:

“I’ve always said that if anyone can legitimize the fan’s perception of what we do, I think it’s Ronda. Everyone knows she has made a name for herself in UFC and had this division built around her. She has done all these amazing things, but to see her train and struggle and do the grind of what we do, I think it gives people more appreciation for what we do. For many, Ronda is it. I think it’s great that we have her, and I think it’s what our ‘Women’s Revolution’ needs.”
