Corey Graves made his return to the NXT commentary desk during tonight’s broadcast, ending a brief hiatus tied to recent public controversy. Graves had missed the January 14 episode after voicing dissatisfaction on social media regarding his transition from the WWE main roster to NXT. During his return, Graves addressed viewers indirectly, saying:
“I am right where I want to be. Where passion is everything and only the hungry survive and pro wrestling never stopped being cool.”
Graves’ return comes amid ongoing changes in WWE’s commentary lineup. Raw commentary is now handled by Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett call the action on SmackDown.
Graves sparked widespread attention with a social media post implying frustration over his move, claiming he was told he wasn’t “famous enough” for his prior role. Many interpreted this as a pointed remark referencing current Raw commentators Pat McAfee and Joe Tessitore.
WWE legend The Undertaker recently expressed his concerns about the reduced match schedules for today’s WWE talent. While the lighter workload helps safeguard wrestlers’ health and longevity, The Deadman argues on his Six Feet Under podcast that fewer live events may limit opportunities for performers to refine their craft and experiment creatively.
“Iron sharpens iron,” The Undertaker explained, emphasizing the value of consistent in-ring work. “You need those reps to keep your body and skills sharp. It’s hard to stay sharp when you’re only working four or five matches a month.”
The Role of Live Events in Skill-Building
Reflecting on his own career, The Undertaker credited the rigorous schedule of live events for shaping him into one of WWE’s greatest performers. “We made as many live events as we could because that’s how we got better,” he said. These non-televised house shows allowed wrestlers to experiment with new moves, refine their storytelling, and perfect their timing in front of an audience without the pressure of live television. The Undertaker highlighted the creative freedom live events provided, noting,
“We tried new things at live events. You don’t want to experiment with something new on live TV and have it fall flat.”
A Double-Edged Sword: Health vs. Performance
The lighter schedules of today’s WWE stars represent a significant shift from the grueling workload of previous generations. For years, wrestlers performed upwards of 300 nights annually, often at the expense of their physical health. The current approach prioritizes long-term well-being, with performers now working as few as four or five matches a month.
However, The Undertaker argues this reduction comes at a cost. Without the frequent opportunities to wrestle, he worries that younger talent might struggle to maintain their in-ring sharpness and storytelling abilities.
“Reps are what keep you sharp,” he reiterated.
Striking the Right Balance
The Undertaker suggested potential solutions to address the tradeoff between health and skill-building, such as increasing house show schedules or finding alternative environments for talent to hone their skills. He stressed the importance of preserving the art of professional wrestling while safeguarding the health of performers for future generations.
As WWE continues to evolve, balancing these priorities will be critical. The Undertaker’s perspective highlights the need to maintain high standards of in-ring performance while adapting to the modern demands of health-conscious schedules.

On Monday, they released a hype video for the game that strongly implies intergender matches are returning to WWE’s annual video game for the first time in 16 years. The caption contains male and female emoji symbols, the first hint.
While some recent WWE games like WWE 2K24 have allowed players to play intergender matches through unofficial methods like mods, WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2009 was the last WWE video game to officially sanction men wrestling women. Wrestling video game fans who have bemoaned its removal can blame WWE’s “PG Era.” After WWE television adopted a PG rating in 2008, the company moved away from featuring male versus female matches in both their programming and video games.
WrestleMania, WWE’s biggest annual event, is making its long-awaited return to Las Vegas for the first time since 1993’s WrestleMania IX, which was held at Caesars Palace. That event is remembered for its unique outdoor setting and the controversial conclusion where Hulk Hogan won the WWE Championship from Yokozuna mere moments after Bret Hart failed to do so.
This year’s WrestleMania 41 promises to deliver even more spectacle, taking place over two nights at Allegiant Stadium in 2025. WWE President Nick Khan and Steve Hill, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the decision during a fireside chat at Preview Las Vegas on January 16. The discussion covered how quickly the deal materialized, WWE’s international growth strategy, and Khan’s personal ties to Las Vegas.
How the Deal Came Together in Record Time
Nick Khan shared that the idea to bring WrestleMania 41 to Las Vegas was sparked during the city’s hosting of the Super Bowl. Impressed by how grand the event felt, Khan approached the LVCVA about hosting WrestleMania in 2025. Remarkably, a deal was in motion within hours.
“We were here for the Super Bowl—all of us. Anyone who was in Las Vegas at that time saw how big it was and how big it felt,” said Khan. “I called and said, ‘You know, that was big, and I think it exceeded our high expectations.’ I realized we weren’t yet locked in for WrestleMania 2025. So I asked, ‘What do you guys think about doing it in Vegas?’”
According to Khan, the LVCVA responded enthusiastically.
“They said, ‘Give us a day, and we’ll get back to you.’ Probably two hours later, they called back and said they had spoken with Steve Hill, who wanted to meet. ‘Can you bring the team to town so we can all get in a room together?’”
Khan credited the efficiency of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for the rapid progress. “There’s no bureaucracy with the LVCVA that we’ve experienced. It was clear they wanted this. They primarily put the deal together quickly, and boom—here we are. It’s been a great experience. We always say the result matters. But the process matters just as much, and this process has been A+—thanks to you,” he added, directly addressing Hill.
Paris to Host a WWE Premium Live Event in 2025
During the fireside chat, the conversation also touched on WWE’s broader growth plans. Nick Khan announced that WWE would host another Premium Live Event in Paris this year, a move that reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in international markets.
The Preview Las Vegas discussion also highlighted Khan’s personal connection to the city. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Khan emphasized how significant it is for him to bring WWE’s marquee event to his hometown. WrestleMania 41 will cement Las Vegas as a premier destination for WWE and further elevate Allegiant Stadium’s reputation as a top venue for global events.

WWE’s UK Twitter account confirms the special will not be available on Netflix in the region, continuing the trend set by the December 14 broadcast, which was also exclusively streamed on YouTube for UK audiences.
This accessible streaming approach allows WWE to reach a broader fanbase in the UK while showcasing high-stakes matches like Ripley’s title defense.
Saturday Night’s Main Event returns on January 25, 2025, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The event is strategically scheduled one week before the 2025 Royal Rumble, which takes place on February 1st in Indianapolis.
Rivalries are the heart of professional wrestling, creating unforgettable moments that define careers. During a discussion with Chris Van Vliet for Insight, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently reflected on some of his most iconic opponents, shedding light on the matches and competitors who pushed him to his limits and cemented his legacy.
From his unparalleled chemistry with Chris Benoit to his physically grueling battles with Brock Lesnar, Angle’s reflections offer a deep dive into what made these rivalries legendary.
Chris Benoit: A Rivalry of Intensity and Skill
Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit shared a rivalry marked by unparalleled intensity and technical brilliance. Their match at Royal Rumble 2003 is often regarded as one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time. Angle, too, holds this encounter in high regard, calling it “the greatest wrestling match of all time.”
“Chris Benoit was like wrestling my twin,” Angle shared. “The intensity we brought out of each other was unmatched.”
Despite Benoit’s controversial legacy, Angle emphasizes the respect they shared in the ring. Their chemistry was rooted in their similar styles, with both being technical masters who elevated each other during every clash.
Brock Lesnar: Brutality and Respect

Another rivalry that defined Angle’s career was with Brock Lesnar, one of the most dominant athletes in WWE history. Known for their intense physical matches, including the main event of WrestleMania XIX, the two shared a relationship built on mutual respect and toughness. Angle recalled the toll their battles took on his body, revealing:
“Brock Lesnar broke my neck twice. But I called both those spots, so I don’t blame him.”
Despite the injuries, Angle has always admired Lesnar’s raw power and athleticism. Their matches weren’t just about brute strength; they combined storytelling and technical prowess, creating some of the most memorable moments in WWE history.
Other Iconic Matches and Dream Opponents
While Benoit and Lesnar were two of Angle’s defining rivals, other opponents also shaped his career. His emotional match against Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 20 remains a fan favorite, showcasing Guerrero’s charisma and Angle’s versatility. Angle also expressed admiration for wrestlers he never got to face, including Bret Hart, whom he regards as a dream opponent.
“Bret was the kind of wrestler who could adapt to anyone. I wish I had the chance to step in the ring with him,” Angle shared.
How Rivals Shaped His Legacy
Looking back, Kurt Angle credits his greatest rivals for pushing him to his peak as a performer. Whether it was the raw intensity of his matches with Chris Benoit, the physical toll of facing Brock Lesnar, or the storytelling brilliance of his clash with Eddie Guerrero, these rivalries helped define one of the greatest wrestling careers of all time.
Through it all, Angle’s ability to connect with his opponents—and with fans—solidifies his place as one of wrestling’s all-time greats.
The Undertaker has spoken candidly about the major cultural shift happening in WWE’s backstage environment under the leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan.
Once known for its high-pressure atmosphere during Vince McMahon’s tenure, WWE’s backstage now exudes a relaxed and creative energy, a change that the Deadman attributes to the trust and positivity instilled by its current leadership. Reflecting on the difference on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared:
“It’s so chill backstage now… You’ve got people in corners shooting TikToks. I think it’s a testament to the trust Triple H and Nick Khan have in everyone to do their jobs.”
He contrasted this with the old days, where stress often trickled down from the top.
“Back in the day, if the boss was stressed, everyone else was stressed. Now, there’s a trust in the system that makes a difference.”
The shift, he says, stems largely from Triple H’s leadership style, which emphasizes collaboration, trust, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
“Triple H puts out so much positive energy, and it resonates with the whole team. It’s a completely different atmosphere.”
This new dynamic, The Undertaker noted, empowers talent to focus more on their creativity and performances, rather than worrying about backstage politics or pressure.
By prioritizing trust and confidence in his roster and staff, Triple H has cultivated an environment where performers can thrive. This transformation signals WWE’s modernization under its evolving leadership and highlights how backstage morale can directly impact the quality of the product fans see on-screen.
In closing, The Undertaker lauded Triple H and Nick Khan for ushering in this new era: a backstage culture built on trust, positivity, and creativity—a far cry from the high-pressure days of the previous regime.

As John Cena embarks on his highly anticipated farewell tour in 2025, the WWE Universe reflects on the legacy of the 16-time world champion. Cena’s decision to dedicate an entire year to saying goodbye marks a departure from traditional wrestling retirements, and few are as qualified to weigh in as The Undertaker. On episode 49 of his Six Feet Under podcast, the Deadman shared his thoughts on Cena’s farewell and its broader implications for the wrestling industry.
“It’s a cool way for someone who meant so much to the business to go out. Fans get to give him his flowers, and he gets to say goodbye the right way.”
Cena’s farewell tour, which includes approximately 36 appearances across WWE events, is already drawing massive interest, with ticket sales spiking after his announcement that he’ll be participating in the 2025 Royal Rumble.
A Farewell Unlike Any Other
Undertaker praised Cena’s work ethic and impact on WWE, calling him a “workhorse” and acknowledging the thoughtfulness of his farewell. “Cena was a huge star for years. It’s really cool the way they’ve planned this out,” he said. Cena’s farewell contrasts sharply with retirements of the past, including those of Ric Flair and The Undertaker himself.
“For me, I couldn’t have done a farewell tour with my character. It wouldn’t have made sense for me to be hugging fans and saying goodbye. That wasn’t The Undertaker.”
His farewell came through a series of sporadic appearances, culminating in a cinematic match at WrestleMania 36 and a final goodbye at Survivor Series 2020.
The Undertaker and John Cena in 2002 and 2018
The Future of Wrestling Retirements
Cena’s farewell might signal a shift in how wrestling retirements are approached, especially for top-tier stars. Undertaker believes this approach could become the new standard.
“I think this is the way of the future for wrestling retirements,” he said. “The less you see of my generation, the better—it’s time for new stars to shine.”
Cena’s tour exemplifies a blend of nostalgia and forward-thinking. By clearing his Hollywood schedule for the year, he’s giving fans one last chance to see him in action while helping WWE transition focus to its next generation of stars.
A Symbol of Gratitude
For WWE fans, Cena’s farewell tour is more than just a series of matches—it’s a chance to celebrate a career that defined an era. As The Undertaker pointed out, it’s a rare opportunity for a performer to leave on their own terms while giving back to the audience that made it all possible.
“It’s time for John to take his bow,” Undertaker concluded. “And he’s doing it in a way that honors the business and his fans.”

Britt Baker has cultivated a unique persona as “The DMD”—a supremely confident and accomplished professional who flaunts both her wrestling and dental credentials with an air of superiority. With the recent report from Wade Keller via PWTorch suggesting Baker is “wildly unpopular” in the AEW locker room and potentially finishing up with the company, fans are speculating about her next move. Naturally, this raises an exciting question: what could a run in WWE, the world’s premiere wrestling promotion, look like for Britt Baker?
Baker’s Unique Appeal: A Blend of Reality and Wrestling
Baker’s character work has evolved significantly during her career. Starting as an initially bland babyface, she found her stride as a compelling heel who masterfully taps into her real-life success to generate heat. As “The Role Model,” Baker uses her dual accomplishments in wrestling and dentistry to position herself as superior to others, creating a character that is both despicable and fascinating.
In the ring, Baker employs a technical style highlighted by her signature Lockjaw finishing move—a hybrid scissored armbar and mandible claw that ties into her dentistry background. While her in-ring skills have received mixed reviews, her promo work and character consistency have made her a standout. Whether playing a despised villain or a brash anti-hero, Baker knows how to command attention and elicit strong reactions.
This combination of charisma, storytelling ability, and technical skill makes her an intriguing potential addition to WWE, where she could create memorable matchups with some of the company’s top talent.
Britt Baker’s in-ring style and larger-than-life persona would make her a natural fit for a variety of opponents across WWE’s roster. Here are ten dream matches that could define her WWE career:
Bianca Belair: The EST vs. The DMD would be an incredible clash of personalities and in-ring styles. Both women have carried their respective divisions as champions and proven themselves as main event talents.
Charlotte Flair: A showdown between two of the most confident and accomplished women in wrestling would create instant electricity. Their cocky personas and championship pedigrees would make for compelling television.
Becky Lynch: The Man vs. The Role Model is a dream match in terms of both wrestling ability and mic work. Their similar journeys as division-defining stars make this matchup a natural fit.
Rhea Ripley: The Eradicator vs. The DMD would showcase a compelling dynamic between Ripley’s raw power and Baker’s technical prowess. Their contrasting styles could create an engaging and hard-hitting in-ring story.
IYO SKY: SKY’s technical mastery and aerial prowess would pair brilliantly with Baker’s well-rounded skillset, likely producing an in-ring classic filled with high-level storytelling and action.
Bayley: As two of wrestling’s most naturally charismatic women, their shared trajectories from beloved babyfaces to despised heels would create rich storytelling opportunities.
Asuka: The striking and submission-based style of Asuka matched against Baker’s technical wrestling would result in an exciting clash of styles, with both women pushing each other to the limit.
Tiffany Stratton: This pairing of a rising star and an established veteran could elevate both performers. Stratton’s brash personality and athleticism would create interesting segments with Baker’s polished, self-assured character.
Liv Morgan: Morgan’s high-flying and risk-taking style contrasts well with Baker’s technical approach. Both women have demonstrated resilience and a connection with the audience, making this matchup dynamic and emotionally engaging.
Giulia: As NXT Women’s Champion, Giulia brings a hard-hitting, intense style that would mesh intriguingly with Baker’s technical finesse. This match could serve as a bridge between NXT and WWE’s main roster, spotlighting both competitors’ strengths.

EFFY is the new GCW World Champion following a dramatic night at The People vs. GCW, held in the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom.
Originally, the championship match was set to feature Mance Warner defending his title against the winner of EFFY vs. Allie Katch. Unfortunately, their earlier matchup ended prematurely after Allie Katch suffered a serious leg injury during a dive, forcing her to withdraw and granting EFFY a default victory.
real bummer yall not the way i wanted to earn this hope @AllieKATCH is ok despite the history
sometimes things change and you gotta go with the flow and i feel like it isn’t earned but i’ll do it for us both.
The main event between Mance Warner and EFFY was a brutal, chaotic clash reflective of their long-standing rivalry. The fight featured brawling outside the ring, the use of weapons such as chairs, doors, and even screwdrivers, and a level of intensity that captivated the audience.
The turning point came when Cole Radrick handed EFFY a guitar, which he used to incapacitate Warner and secure the decisive pinfall.
With this victory, EFFY not only ends Warner’s reign as GCW Champion but also captures his first-ever singles title in GCW, a major milestone after years of contributing to the promotion.

Despite the loss, the crowd showed strong support for Pestock, chanting “Big f***ing Tom” and “Please come back!” after the match.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently revealed his remarkable weight loss journey and hinted at the possibility of entering the 2025 Royal Rumble.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Foley shared that he weighed 360 pounds a year ago and set a goal to get down to 280. Despite hitting a peak of 377 pounds, Foley achieved his target, clocking in at 279.9 pounds during a live weigh-in.
He credited his transformation to a combination of healthier eating, consistent workouts, and the use of Wegovy, a weight-loss medication.
“I did it the old-fashioned way. It was really a three-step process: healthier eating, working out, and, I’ll admit, I cheated a bit,” Foley said.
“A doctor suggested Wegovy after seeing me at over 370 pounds. I know some people see it as cheating, but I felt like it leveled the playing field. My strength was gone, my metabolism had tanked, and I was gaining weight every day. I couldn’t even handle walking up a slight incline without needing to rest. I thought, ‘I’m a heart attack waiting to happen.’”
Foley credited DDP Yoga and swimming as key components of his fitness routine, adding that he’s mindful of his age, saying, “I’m not 21 anymore. I can’t jump into things like I did back then. But I feel good—really good.”
Royal Rumble Speculation
The former WWE Champion revealed he participated in Ohio Valley Wrestling’s (OVW) Nightmare Rumble and felt strong after his performance. However, when asked about entering WWE’s Royal Rumble, Foley gave a cryptic response.
“I wouldn’t say I’m not entering the Royal Rumble.”
Foley initially said with a laugh. He later took a call from someone implied to be Triple H. In a playful exchange, Foley hinted at the possibility of a Royal Rumble comeback.
During the call, he joked, “You saw me in the Nightmare Rumble? I’ve lost some weight, yeah. I’ve been working out. Royal Rumble? Let me call you right back.” The clip ended with Triple H’s iconic theme music playing, leaving fans wondering if Foley might indeed make a surprise appearance.
While Mick Foley stopped short of confirming his participation, his improved health and training have reignited speculation among fans about a potential Royal Rumble entry.
