Watch: Former WWE Champion Big E Wreaks Havoc On Fox College Football Show

Former WWE Champion Big E appeared during the Fox College Football Show today. He showed up in black and yellow overalls and his usual incredible energy.

The 36-year-old got an awesome entrance ahead of the matchup between Michigan and Iowa. He is a former defensive tackle for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Big E was hyped during his entrance and celebrated with the Iowa fans as seen in the video below.

Big E leaned up against the barricade with Iowa fans and continued to hype up the fans. He also connected with a cake to the face of an overconfident Michigan fan.

USC alum and former NFL player Reggie Bush is one of the hosts on the show and Big E had a hilarious interaction with him. The big man lifted Reggie onto his shoulders with ease and carried him around the set of the show.

Big E was also in the stands for the football game. The Michigan Wolverines moved to 5-0 by defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes 27-14. Iowa is now 3-2 on the season.

The New Day member appeared last year in the same exact outfit and predicted that his alma mater was going to defeat Penn State by a million.

Big E Out Of Action With A Neck Injury

Big E was injured on the March 11th edition of WWE SmackDown. The action spilled out of the ring and Ridge Holland went for an overhead throw but Big E landed on his neck, resulting in the big man fracturing his C1 and C6 vertebrae.

The former WWE Champion revealed a couple of weeks after the injury that he was told by a doctor that the injury could have been much worse. Time will tell if we get to see him back inside the squared circle again but it remains a certainty that Big E’s vibrant energy will never fade.

Seth Rollins Says Jon Moxley Is “At The Top Of His Game” In AEW

Seth Rollins sat down with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport for an interview and discussed several topics.

He revealed that he felt inferior to Roman Reigns on the biggest night of his career, his thoughts on going winless against Cody Rhodes and their infamous Hell in a Cell match. Rollins also spoke about the disastrous Hell in a Cell match against The Fiend in 2019. Seth was also asked about a former member of The Shield Dean Ambrose, now known as AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

Moxley was the Interim AEW Champion while CM Punk was out with an injury. He then defeated Punk on an episode of Dynamite to become the AEW Champion, only to lose it back to him at AEW All Out. CM Punk got injured again during that match and also brawled with The Elite following the media scrum.

AEW President Tony Khan vacated the AEW and Trios Championships on the following episode of Dynamite. Jon would go on to defeat fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson in the finals of the Tournament of Champions at Dynamite: Grand Slam to become AEW World Champion once again.

Seth Rollins On His Relationship With Jon Moxley

During the interview, Ariel asked The Visionary about Jon Moxley and whether or not he still keeps in contact with the former Shield member. Seth revealed that Moxley is not much of a phone guy but they keep in touch. The 36-year-old added that Jon is “at the top of his game doing his thing” in AEW and that he’s never had any animosity towards him.

I don’t talk to him as much obviously. We have opposite schedules and different stuff, but our baby girls are close to the same age. And he’s not much of a texter like he’s an in-person cat. He’s not much of a texter or a phone guy, he’s an in-person dude.

So if there’s ever a chance, when we were in Cincinnati last time I was there I popped in the house to say ‘hi’ and all that, checked in on him.

I do that periodically just to see how he’s doing and stuff. But I’m close with Renee (Paquette), so we are always exchanging baby pictures and what is new with the kids.

But yeah, never any animosity. He’s great, he’s at the top of his game doing his thing over in AEW. So nothing but the best.

I’ve never, between the three of us (Reigns, Rollins, Moxley) and I can’t speak for any of them, but they were closer than I was with either of those guys as friends off camera.

So I assume that they are still chill. I’ve never heard anything to the contrary, but yeah I’ve always had a great relationship with those guys.

Andrade El Idolo Set To Put His AEW Career On The Line Next Week On Rampage

Andrade El Idolo has been using the hashtag #FreeElIdolo on social media and it was announced during tonight’s episode of Rampage that his AEW career will be on the line in an upcoming match.

During a backstage segment on this week’s edition of Rampage, Andrade El Idolo and Jose The Assistant interrupted an interview with Hangman Adam Page and the Dark Order. Hangman Page is scheduled to battle Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship on a special Tuesday night edition of Dynamite on October 18th.

El Idolo rolled a clip of Hangman eliminating “10” Preston Vance from Dark Order during the Golden Ticket Battle Royal at Rampage: Grand Slam last week. Andrade and Vance got face-to-face and started trading words.

Andrade challenged Vance to a match and said that he will have to remove his mask if he loses. Vance increased the stakes and stated that Andrade will have to leave All Elite Wrestling if he loses the match. AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to make the match official. The bout will take place on the two year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s final match in AEW. Brodie was the leader of the Dark Order when he sadly passed away in December of last year.

Andrade El Idolo debuted in All Elite Wrestling in June 2021. He formed the Andrade-Hardy Family Office with Matt Hardy, Butcher, Blade, Jora Johl, and Jose The Assistant. The faction booted Matt Hardy and has since rebranded as “La Faccion Ingobernable” and added Rush to the group.

It was announced earlier today by Tony Khan that Rush has signed a contract to join All Elite Wrestling’s roster. Andrade El Idolo was ringside for Rush’s victory over John Silver in the main event of this week’s Rampage.

Seth Rollins On Controversial Ending To Hell In A Cell Match Against The Fiend: “Not Our Call”

Seth Rollins and former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) had a Hell in a Cell match in 2019 that left a lot to be desired.

The match was the main event of the Premium Live Event and featured The Fiend’s red lighting throughout the contest. In a questionable booking decision, Seth Rollins was disqualified at the end of the match after he stacked up a bunch of chairs on top of The Fiend and bashed him with a sledgehammer.

The Fiend had wielded a giant mallet earlier in the match so the finish didn’t sit well with the majority of the WWE Universe. Sean Waltman (X Pac) was watching the show in a WWE watch-along and couldn’t wrap his mind around someone getting disqualified in a Hell in a Cell match.

Seth Rollins On The Controversial Finish At WWE Hell in a Cell 2019

Seth Rollins was interviewed by Ariel Helwani of BT Sport recently and the match against The Fiend at Hell in a Cell was brought up during the discussion. The Visionary revealed that he was not able to tell a “good wrestling story” with The Fiend because of his character. He added that the finish to the match wasn’t their call.

“It was tough figuring out how to tell a good wrestling story with that character,” said Rollins. “I just wasn’t good at it. That was one thing, I was not good at the phenomenology stuff, like I wasn’t able to interweave that with reality enough to make what I felt was a captivating story. At the end of the day, it probably would have been better if he just mauled me in that cell, put the claw on me and called it a day.

I could have moved on to something else and he could have had his run as champion. But that wasn’t the case and we played the hand we were dealt, and that was not our call. I know he would tell you the same thing, that did not go the way we wanted it to.

We tried, and we tried, and we tried, and the boss at the time would not budge. Like I said before, it is not our sandbox, you know? We are actors on a stage sometimes and we read the lines.”

Seth Rollins on the Hell in a Cell match against The Fiend in 2019

Seth Rollins is slated to battle Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit match. Bray Wyatt is rumored to be the White Rabbit and possibly appear at the Premium Live Event as well. It will be interesting to see if the two cross paths once again.

WWE’s ‘White Rabbit’ Teaser Campaign

The promotion has been teasing the WWE Universe by playing the 1967 song “White Rabbit” during commercial breaks and randomly during live events.

A QR code appeared on a recent edition of RAW behind Austin Theory backstage. That code sent fans to a secret WWE website where a game of “Hang Man” was being played. The question asked was, “who killed the world?” and the answer is “YOU DID”.

Another QR code appeared on this past Monday’s edition of RAW with the same question and answer. The video featured stars of the past like The Rock, Road Dogg, and Kurt Angle. Edge and Cody Rhodes were also in the video. The number in the video is the zip code for Corbin, Kentucky.

Fightful Select recently reported that WWE is planning to reveal the ‘White Rabbit’ at Extreme Rules early next month. Fightful stated that the White Rabbit is believed to be Bray Wyatt but it is not confirmed whether he will physically be at the Premium Live Event or not.

It was also reported by Fightful that WWE’s creative team led by Triple H has been “hands off” with the campaign. They feel that fans are doing more than enough to promote the angle and it is seen as a “major success” backstage.

Seth Rollins Reveals How His Match Against Cody Rhodes At Hell In A Cell Helped Repair His Reputation In WWE

Cody Rhodes made his shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent.

The American Nightmare picked up the win at the biggest show of the year, and went on to defeat Seth at WrestleMania Backlash and one more time at WWE Hell in a Cell.

Rhodes tore his pec while training for the Hell in a Cell match and revealed the gruesome injury at the Premium Live Event. Despite the injury, Cody defeated Seth for the third time in a row. Cody remains out with injury as Rollins gears up for his Fight Pit match against Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8th.

Seth Rollins On How He Got More Respect Following The Match At HIAC

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Seth noted that his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Hell in a Cell actually helped restore his reputation with fans a little bit. The Visionary said that he had gotten a lot of grief online after wrestlers had previously gotten injured in matches with him, and Cody coming out of that match without any further injury earned Seth more respect.

“It really went a long way in repairing my reputation,” said Rollins.”I had gotten so much flack online for some injuries that had happened in matches that I was in and whether they were caused by me, directly or indirectly, is a whole different can of worms.

I think people were like ‘oh maybe he does know how to take care of people in the ring’. Yeah, duh. But yeah, I think it was more visually jarring than anything.

Was there a danger for me in being in there with someone who only has one good arm? Absolutely. But again, we’re professionals and we can design these matches to take care of each other in ways that still create captivating stories and moments.

I think that in some ways the match may not have been as special without that visual of his completely torn, bloody, and bruised arm, chest, and belly. Whatever was going on there.”

Seth Rollins On Going Winless Against Cody Rhodes In WWE: “He Needed To Re-Establish Himself”

Seth Rollins had a tremendous rivalry with Cody Rhodes in 2022 after The American Nightmare made his return to WWE.

Former CEO Vince McMahon in storyline handpicked Cody as Seth’s mystery opponent at WrestleMania 38. The former AEW EVP and TNT Champion made his shocking return to the company at the biggest Premium Live Event of the year and picked up a victory over Seth. The American Nightmare would defeat Seth Rollins again at WrestleMania Backlash.

Cody beat Seth for a third time at Hell in a Cell but suffered a torn pec leading up to the match. Seth attacked Cody on the following RAW as a way to write him off of television.

Seth Rollins On Going Winless Against Cody Rhodes

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, The Visionary said that losing to Cody three times added to the chip on his shoulder because he felt like he was catapulting someone else to a position he deserved. The 36-year-old claimed that he got “more respect” backstage following their rivalry and added that their WrestleMania match was made at the last minute.

“When we finally got the news, which was very last minute as far as WrestleMania is concerned. I knew that was going to be my match and I think it was pretty obvious to me which way things were going to lean. It didn’t stop me from being a little frustrated.

Again, feeling like I was being used to catapult somebody else into a position I felt like I deserved. So that was kind of demoralizing, but that is just more of a chip on my shoulder.”

I definitely think I came out of it a lot better than when I went into it. I don’t think in any way that I suffered from losing three times in a row. If anything, I in some ways got more respect for having the humility to put my own self-interest aside to work with someone who, incoming back into this world (WWE) from his past world (AEW), he needed it a lot more than I did.

My equity is not going anywhere and he needed to re-establish himself.”

“I’m Into It!” – Rob Van Dam On CM Punk’s Rant After AEW All Out

Former AEW World Champion CM Punk is currently under suspension for his role in the altercation with The Elite following the All Out media scrum.

CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley in the main event of AEW All Out to become AEW World Champion. It was his 2nd reign with the title without ever making a title defense. MJF returned after the title match to have a stare-down with CM Punk.

Jon Moxley has since captured the title once again by defeating Bryan Danielson in the finals of the Tournament of Champions at Dynamite: Grand Slam. CM Punk reportedly suffered a torn triceps during the title match at All Out and was spotted wearing a brace in a recent photo.

Rob Van Dam on CM Punk’s Comments at the All Out Media Scrum

ECW legend and former WWE Superstar Rob Van Dam joined Rene Dupree and Paul London on a recent episode of the Cafe de Rene podcast. Rob discussed Punk’s comments and said that he wants to see what happens next.

I’m into it. I’m interested to see the full circle, like what happens from this energy. Being the zen master that I am, let me point out because a lot of people might not notice, but pro wrestling is full of the most, by population probably, the most amount of ridiculously extreme egos that you will ever see jammed together.

Rob Van Dam then claimed that there is a good chance that CM Punk has as big of an ego as anybody else he’s ever interacted with in the wrestling business.

I think there is a good chance that CM Punk, just from feeling his energy, probably has as big of an ego as anybody that I’ve interacted with in the business. Those are the guys that get ahead, the guys that really believe in themselves. But then at the same time, it is really hard for me as another guy in the locker room, I think they believe in themselves too much. Some of it can be like natural heat, like The Miz. It’s just so easy to hate him.

When someone comes back through the curtain after their character could have given the most believable speech that got all the heat in the world, if they can come back through the curtain and be humble, and realize that they are one amongst many, that is a really good place to be in.

WWE Legend On The Situation Between Malakai Black & AEW: “Sounds A Little Odd Doesn’t It?”

Malakai Black reportedly asked for his release from All Elite Wrestling but it was denied.

He cut a promo at an independent wrestling event and followed it up with a statement. Malakai confirmed that he requested his release and stated that he needed some time away to “recalibrate” the past two decades of his life.

Buddy Matthews cut a similar promo at an indie show this past weekend and both stars were rumored to be on their way out of the company. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that AEW President Tony Khan has opted not to release them from their contracts.

Malakai recently went on Instagram Live and debunked the rumors of his release. The 37-year-old stated that there is no conspiracy to this and he will be back in AEW “soon”.

Jim Cornette on Malakai Black

On a recent edition of Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, the wrestling legend discussed the confusing events surrounding Malakai Black and All Elite Wrestling. Cornette said it is a little odd that Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews are both cutting similar promos about taking time away in the midst of all the recent rumors.

I don’t know what this f***ing guy is doing and apparently he doesn’t either. And who knows whether anybody in AEW does. If all of this stuff has been misreported, misdiagnosed, and we got the story all wrong, then what is his tag team partner doing the same exact thing for?

He goes and makes an independent show, Buddy, and says the same thing ‘I need to recalibrate, I’m stepping away for a little while, you’ll see me again soon’, he’s doing the exact same thing.

So what is going on here? It’s awful, I can understand one person having this particular issue come up and want to take some time off, but two people? In the same tag team? In the same company? At the same time? Sounds a little odd doesn’t it? That is all I’m saying. I don’t know what is going on but it sounds a little odd.

Cornette wondered why Malakai didn’t just come out and say “here’s the length of my contract and I’m going to honor it” if there was nothing to the story.

Dr. Chris Amann Reportedly No Longer Working For WWE

Longtime ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann has reportedly retired from WWE.

According to PW Insider, Amann reportedly gave his notice some time ago and has officially retired from his position with WWE this month.

Chris joined the company in 2008 after working as a physician for the 2008 United States Olympic team. He was the senior ringside physician that worked with both WWE and NXT talent. Chris also oversaw the medical care of other ringside physicians and trainers on the staff.

Dr. Chris Amann sues CM Punk

Long before the meltdown following AEW All Out, CM Punk had issues with WWE and Dr. Chris Amann.

In 2014, CM Punk was interviewed on The Art of Wrestling podcast, hosted by Colt Cabana (or Scott Colton as referred to be Punk during his media scrum rant).

Punk claimed during the podcast that the doctor misdiagnosed a lump on his back as a “fatty deposit” and it was later revealed to be an MRSA infection. Chris Amann later sued both CM Punk and Colt Cabana for defamation. His argument was that the words said on the podcast called into question his ability to perform his duties as a physician.

The trial lasted about a week and found that neither CM Punk or Colt Cabana were liable for defamation.

After the European tour, the whole European tour I am dry heaving after every match. I’m on all fours after every match and I’m either puking for real or I am just dry heaving because I don’t have anything in my stomach. I have no appetite. I don’t know what is up and what is down.

I can’t sleep, I can’t f***ing train. Doc’s like, ‘Oh you are sick, here is a Z-Pak.’ They Z-Pakked me to death, so much that in December I **** my pants on a SmackDown because that’s what antibiotics do to you.

Jim Cornette Criticizes The Booking Of WWE SmackDown Star: “What Are You Supposed To Think About Her?”

Jim Cornette is not a fan of how WWE has been booking SmackDown star Lacey Evans as of late.

She returned to the company with a series of vignettes in which she spoke about her difficulties as a child, and her time in the military but it ultimately led to her being a heel on WWE TV.

On last Friday’s edition of the blue brand, SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan defeated Lacey Evans in a singles match. After her victory, Liv set Lacey up on a table and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Liv connected with a Senton through the table and sent a message to Ronda Rousey after the match.

Liv Morgan will be defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match at the Premium Live Event on October 8th.

Jim Cornette Criticizes WWE’s Booking of Lacey Evans

Wrestling legend Jim Cornette shared his thoughts on WWE’s booking of Lacey Evans on a recent episode of his Drive-Thru podcast. Cornette wondered if Lacey had pissed someone off backstage and claimed that he has never seen a more talented female performer booked so poorly.

Who did Lacey Evans piss off?,” asked Cornette. “That is my question. Because I don’t know that I’ve seen a more talented female performer booked in such ridiculous sh**y ways ever from any company. What are you supposed to think about her? They had her do those promos, again part of this I’m sure was Vince, and some weird Vince idea that he had.

They had her do the promos as the abused child, the military hero, and a determined young woman, which all led up to her being a heel for some reason. She’s great as a heel. But now they are using her as f***ing cannon fodder for this Liv Morgan experiment of trying to make people believe that Liv Morgan is, now or ever has been, or should be a professional wrestler.

Backstage Update On When WWE Is Expected To Reveal The ‘White Rabbit’

WWE is reportedly planning on unveiling the ‘White Rabbit’ at an upcoming Premium Live Event.

For several weeks, WWE has been running a cryptic teaser campaign featuring a mysterious white rabbit. The company has been playing the 1967 song “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane during live events and occasionally during commercial breaks of RAW or SmackDown.

A QR code appeared on a recent edition of RAW as Austin Theory made his way to the ring. The code brought fans to a secret WWE website where fans saw a “Hang Man” game. The question was “who killed the world?” and the answer was “YOU DID”. Another QR code appeared during this past Monday’s episode of the red brand and took fans to a TikTok video when scanned.

The video features the same question and answer from the Hang Man game with past and present wrestlers saying the words. The number “40701” was also displayed and fans uncovered that is the zip code for Corbin, Kentucky. You can check out our deep dive on WWE’s White Rabbit here.

WWE Reportedly Will Unveil The White Rabbit At Extreme Rules

According to a new Fightful Select report, the company plans to reveal the White Rabbit at Extreme Rules on October 8th.

Fightful stated that those they have spoken with backstage in WWE said that the teaser campaign has been more successful than they envisioned and has generated incredible buzz for the company. The report noted that they were not told if the “White Rabbit” will physically be at Extreme Rules or not and the reveal is expected to be Bray Wyatt.

Watch: MJF Sings To The Philadelphia Crowd Before AEW Dynamite

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has taken the professional wrestling world by storm and is in line for a shot at the AEW World Championship.

MJF appeared on this week’s edition of Dynamite for another promo segment with Wheeler Yuta. Maxwell interrupted Wheeler last week, called him mid, and referred to his group as the Blackpool Cuckold Club.

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Wheeler responded and challenged MJF to a match. Maxwell interrupted and said he will face Wheeler next week. Yuta wanted a fight but Colten and Austin Gunn from The Firm stable came to MJF’s rescue.

MJF sat in the crowd to watch Jon Moxley’s match for the 2nd week in a row. After Jon defeated NJPW star Juice Robinson in a World Title Eliminator match, MJF was shown smirking in his luxury box in the arena. Wheeler Yuta showed up from behind and attacked before AEW security broke it up. Yuta and MJF will face off next week on Dynamite in Washington D.C.

MJF Sings To The Philadelphia Crowd Before Dynamite

Before Dynamite went on the air, Maxwell sang a song for the Philadelphia crowd in the Liacouras Center. Unfortunately, it was not a song that they wanted to hear as MJF sang the “fight song” for the New York Mets baseball team. The Philadelphia Phillies and the Mets have a longstanding rivalry.

After he was done singing, MJF added that the New York Mets are so much better than the Phillies. He also claimed that The Khan’s Jacksonville Jaguars are going to hand the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season this Sunday. You can check out Maxwell’s rendition of the Mets’ fight song in the video below.

Miro Addresses His Lack Of Television Time In AEW

Miro hasn’t been seen on AEW television in some time and addressed the matter on social media today.

The Bulgarian Brute was last seen in All Elite Wrestling in a six-man tag team match at AEW All Out on September 4th. He teamed with Darby Allin & Sting to face House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews).

Miro didn’t play a part in the finish of the match, as Sting spat green mist in Malakai’s eyes and Darby followed it up with a Coffin Drop for the pinfall victory. After the match, Malakai Black bowed to the crowd and many speculated that his time in the company was done.

He released a statement confirming that he requested his release, and then followed it up with a video stating that he will be returning to AEW after some time away. Buddy Matthews announced that he will be taking some off as well to “recalibrate” at an independent wrestling event over the weekend.

When it comes to appearing on weekly television, Miro has been rarely featured since Forbidden Door in June. A Twitter user pointed out that Miro has not appeared on an episode of Dynamite in three months.

The 36-year-old responded to the fan and sent a message to the AEW locker room. Miro suggested that he hasn’t been featured on television because “nobody has the balls” to face him.

Miro (Rusev) was released by WWE in April 2020. He made his in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling several months later on September 9th. Miro debuted in the promotion with blonde hair as “The Best Man” aligned with Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford, but that gimmick was abandoned shortly after.

He is a one-time TNT Champion in AEW and held the title for 140 days in 2021 before dropping it to Sammy Guevara. Miro signed a four-year extension with AEW to keep him with the promotion until 2026. His name started popping up in rumors after he liked a post that hinted that he might be better off in WWE following Jon Moxley’s Word Title Eliminator against Mance Warner.

7 Takeaways From AEW Dynamite (9/28): World Title Eliminator, ROH Title Match, MJF & Saraya Appear

AEW Dynamite aired live from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia tonight. Chris Jericho defended the ROH Championship against Bandido in the main event. Jon Moxley squared off against NJPW star Juice Robinson in a World Title Eliminator. Saraya and MJF also appeared during tonight’s show.

Dynamite Results (9/28)

  • Bryan Danielson def. Matt Menard via submission
  • Jon Moxley def. Juice Robinson via submission in a World Title Eliminator
  • Toni Storm def. Serena Deeb to retain the AEW Interim Women’s Championship
  • Ricky Starks def. Eli Isom
  • Chris Jericho def. Bandido via submission to retain the ROH Championship

Here are the takeaways from this week’s Dynamite:

Bryan Danielson def. Matt Menard

Chris Jericho held a celebration tonight for capturing the ROH Championship from Claudio Castagnoli last week at Dynamite: Grand Slam. Jericho said he’s the most honorable man in AEW. He added that he’s the most viewed Ring of Honor Champion already. Chris referred to this era as the “Ring of Jericho” and hyped his match against former ROH Champion Bandino tonight. The champ pointed out that Bandino is a professional wrestler and sports entertainers win every time.

Jericho brought up ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia and presented him a gift. The crowd chanted “you’re a wrestler!” at Daniel Garcia as he opened up a ridiculous purple hat. Chris shouted that is the look of the “best technical sports entertainer” of all time. Daniel threw the hat down as the crowd cheered and punched the pizza-guy wrestler (Luigi Primo).

Garcia said that this isn’t what he wanted when he got into the business. Bryan Danielson interrupted and suggested that Garcia join the Blackpool Combat Club. Chris claimed that Danielson was trying to poach Garcia away and said that Daniel belongs to him. Garcia said that he doesn’t belong to Jericho and threw a pizza out of the ring. Garcia suggested a tag team match with Danielson against Guevara and Jericho. Matt Menard shouted at Garcia some more and said he was sick of him. Bryan Danielson challenged Menard to a match and he accepted.

The match started off back and forth. Menard connected with a couple of lariats but the American Dragon responded with a Dropkick. Angelo Parker went to interfere but Claudio Castagnoli broke it up and dragged Parker backstage. Bryan got the Lebell Lock applied for the submission victory.

Wheeler Yuta Will Battle MJF Next Week

Wheeler Yuta made his way to the ring and claimed that MJF can’t hang with him in the ring. Yuta demanded that MJF come to the ring and take the ass-kicking he deserves. Maxwell Jacob Friedman showed up in a Mets jersey and joked that Philadelphia is the place you live when you can’t afford to live in New York.

MJF called Tony Schiavone a “fat old pr*ck” once again and said that Wheeler is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Maxwell noted that he’s the biggest draw in the company. The crowd chanted “shut the f*** up!” as MJF said that Wheeler Yuta has the same charisma as Joe Frazier and he’s dead.

Friedman boasted about making more money than everyone. Yuta shouted that he doesn’t care about Max’s money and challenged him to a fight. Yuta got out of the ring and made his way up the entrance. The Firm’s Gunn Club (Colten and Austin Gunn) showed up and MJF said he will face Wheeler in a match next week. Maxwell added that he’s going to go sit up in the crowd and watch Jon be a terrible professional wrestler tonight.

Jon Moxley def. Juice Robinson, Wheeler Yuta Attacked MJF

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley faced Juice Robinson tonight in a World Title Eliminator (Juice gets title shot if he beats the champ). Juice attacked during Moxley’s entrance and rolled him into the ring. Moxley connected with a Clothesline and launched Robinson into the barricade surrounding the ring.

When Dynamite returned from a break, Moxley was busted open (of course!) and Juice hit him with a Backbreaker. Moxley battled back and applied an Armbar for the submission victory.

After the match, Hangman Page made his way to the ring and got right in Moxley’s face. MJF got on the microphone in the crowd and suggested that he may want to cash his chip in soon. Wheeler Yuta showed up behind MJF and attacked until security broke it up. Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Hangman Page on October 18th.

Saraya Promo, Toni Storm Retains

Saraya made her way to the ring and said it is great to back in the ring. She stated that she is the revolution and will bring change to AEW’s women’s division. AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm, Madison Rayne Skye Blue, Athena, and Willow Nightingale. Saraya spoke highly about the talent in the ring.

Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Rebel, and Penelope Ford interrupted. Britt joked that Saraya is another shiny new toy that we’ve all seen come and go recently. Baker noted that she put her neck on the line for AEW, and unlike Saraya’s hers is actually strong enough to handle it.

Saraya joked that Britt’s name rhymes with “sh*t”. Baker took some more shots at Saraya before Serena Deeb made her way to the ring. Toni Storm defended the AEW Interim Women’s Championship against Deeb in a singles match with everyone ringside and Saraya on commentary.

Toni went for a Superplex but Deeb countered into a Crossbody for a near fall. Serena launched Toni out of the ring and the heels went to attack her. The babyfaces and heels traded words as Dynamite went to a break.

When Dynamite returned, Deeb locked in a submission but the champion was able to escape. Toni connected with Storm Zero but Deeb powered out at two. Toni followed it up with another Piledriver, but this time off the middle turnbuckle for the pinfall victory. Toni Storm is still the Interim AEW Women’s Championship.

Keith Lee Interrupted The Acclaimed

AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed was interviewed by Tony Schiavone backstage. Keith Lee interrupted and noted that Billy Gunn interfered in the match. Lee added that The Acclaimed got carried in the match and Swerve is not here because he’s very disgruntled. Billy Gunn said he’s got two words for Swerve and said “scissor me”.

Ricky Starks Dominated

Ricky Starks defeated Eli Isom tonight in a squash match. He hit the Roshambo for the pinfall victory in a quick match.

Chris Jericho Retained The ROH Championship, Will Defend Against Bryan Danielson On October 12th

Chris Jericho defended the ROH Championship against Bandido in the main event of tonight’s show. Bandido controlled the action early and caught Jericho with a Suicide Dive. During the break, Jericho battled back and beat the challenger down in the ring.

When Dynamite returned, Bandido hit an insanely long delayed Vertical Suplex before climbing up to the top turnbuckle. Bandido hit a big Frog Splash and went for the cover but Chris kicked out at two. A loud “Eddie!” chant broke out after the move.

Jericho perched Bandido up on the top turnbuckle and bashed him across the back with a few forearms. The challenger knocked Jericho down and went for a Crossbody but Chris countered into a Codebreaker for a near fall as the match continued. Bandido sent the champion out of the ring again as Dynamite went to the final commercial break of the night.

Back from the break, Jericho went for a Suplex of his own but Bandido escaped. Bandido rolled up Le Champion for a close two count. Bandido went for a GTS but Jericho blocked it. Chris tripped Bandido up and applied the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring. Bandido started crawling toward the ropes. He grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold and Chris celebrated as if he won the match.

Bandido hit an Enziguri and perched Chris up on the top turnbuckle. Bandido hit a crazy flip into a Powerslam but somehow Chris kicked out at two. The challenger followed it up with a Northern Lights Suplex and went for the cover but Jericho kicked out at two. Chris hit a big boot and got the Walls of Jericho applied again for the submission victory. Chris Jericho is still the ROH Champion.

After the match, Chris said “The Ring of Jericho Era” has begun. Jericho vowed to beat every great champion that has ever defeated held the title. Chris challenged Bryan Danielson to a title match on the October 12th edition of Dynamite. Jericho then hit ROH announcer Bobby Cruise with a Judas Effect to the side of the head and posed for the booing crowd to close the show.

Sasha Banks Removes WWE From Twitter Handle

Sasha Banks may have dropped a major hint at her WWE future today on social media.

It was reported last month that Sasha Banks and Naomi had reached an agreement to return to the company. That deal may have fallen through as The Boss has made change to her Twitter name today.

Her new name on the social media application is her real one, Mercedes Varnado. At the moment, WWE is still listed in her bio. “Sasha Banks – WWE Koska Reeves – The Mandalorian. She remembered who she was and the game changed.”

Triple H On Sasha Banks Possibly Returning To WWE

WWE has undergone a massive change at the top of the company in recent months. Vince McMahon stepped down as the company’s CEO in the midst of an investigation into “hush money” payments made to former female employees. Former EVP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was also involved with the scandal and was dismissed from the company.

Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of WWE during an episode of RAW in May. They left their Women’s Tag Team Championships on Laurinaitis’ desk, left the arena, and have not been on WWE television since. Following the recent departures from the company, Triple H was named Chief Content Officer in addition to replacing Laurinatis in his role as EVP of Talent Relations.

The Game recently joined Ariel Helwani of BT Sport for an interview and said the following when asked about Sasha Banks returning to the company.

“Time will tell. In a lot of ways, communication breakdowns are terrible. And there was a communication breakdown there for whatever reason.

Starting back up that communication is not a difficult process, but it can be a process and you have to go through the process.

She is an unbelievably talented young woman that can do just about anything she wants. It just comes down to whatever she wants to do now with her life or career, whatever that is.

There’s a passion clearly for what we do, there is a passion for other things as well.

So it comes down to what she wants to do. Because it got to be right for her, it’s got to be right for everybody.

But she is, I think as you’ve seen over the course of her career, just coming into the PC at NXT, she’s just an unbelievable performer that I believe in with everything I have.

She’s one of the biggest stars in our business so it is just what she wants to do.”

“Absolutely NOT!” – Naomi Shuts Down Comparisons To WWE NXT Star Lash Legend

Naomi has reacted to a wrestling fan comparing her to WWE NXT star Lash Legend.

On last night’s edition of NXT, Lash Legend and Wendy Choo traded words to continue their storyline. A wrestling fan on social media mocked the segment and referred to Lash as an “off-brand Naomi”.

The two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion took to Twitter to respond to the comparison. She stated that she looks forward to watching Lash’s success in the industry and requested that fans stop comparing black women for the wrong reasons.

Absolutely NOT! Lash is in her own lane. I’m very proud of her and I look forward to her growth and success. Please stop comparing us black women for the wrong reasons. Respectfully.

Why Hasn’t Naomi Been On WWE TV?

Naomi and Sasha Banks captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships during Night 2 of WrestleMania 38. Queen Zelina and Carmella defended the titles in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match. Banks and Naomi performed a double team move on Carmella to win the titles.

A little over a month later, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the company during the May 16th taping of RAW. WWE was building towards the Hell in a Cell PPV and the champions were set to battle each other in a Six-Pack Challenge in the main event to determine Bianca Belair’s opponent at the Premium Live Event.

Banks and Naomi walked into former EVP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office and claimed that they were not respected enough as the tag team champions. They then left the titles on his desk and exited the building.

On the May 20th of SmackDown, Michael Cole announced the two were suspended “indefinitely” and referred to their actions as unprofessional. He announced that there would be a future tournament to crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

More than three months after Banks and Naomi walked out of RAW, Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah defeated IYO SKY & Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL to win the titles in the finals of the tournament.

Rodriguez and Aliyah dropped the titles to Damage CTRL in a rematch on the September 12th episode of RAW. Naomi and Sasha Banks have been rumored to return to the company but have not appeared yet. They recently walked the runway at a fashion show in New York City and a member of Damage CTRL was in attendance.

MJF Reveals Why He Wants To Be A Free Agent In 2024

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known to wrestling fans as MJF, is one of the hottest stars in professional wrestling today.

He is in line for an AEW World Championship match against Jon Moxley at a time and place of his choosing. Moxley is set to battle NJPW star Juice Robinson on tomorrow’s episode of Dynamite in a World Title Eliminator. If Juice wins, he will also get a shot at the title.

Hangman Adam Page has already earned a shot at the championship on the October 18th edition of Dynamite. It is a special Tuesday night episode of the show and will oppose WWE NXT. Jon Moxley captured the AEW Championship last week by defeating Bryan Danielson in the Tournament of Champions as MJF watched on from the crowd.

MJF On Why He Wants To Be A Free Agent In 2024

MJF spoke with Kevin Clancy of Barstool Sports on KFC Radio this week about a bunch of topics. He revealed what makes him special, which insider wrestler term he finds phony, why he’s the most exciting thing in wrestling since the Attitude Era, and now why he wants to be a free agent in 2024.

“I do want to be a free agent in 2024. So again, I’m going to wait until January 1st, 2024 because I am an intelligent businessman. I do foresee myself winning that AEW World Title and what happens if my contract goes up and I have that championship? If I’m Tony Khan, I’m probably going to have to pay this guy a lot of money.

I concern myself where the money is at. I’ll go to a new company, with a new founder that no one has ever heard of if they’re willing to pay me the most amount of money. I do genuinely think that I’m a prodigy, and I say that humbly. There’s probably no one in the wrestling world that knows more or has a better IQ than me.”

MJF also revealed what the most important thing to him in the wrestling business is.

“The most important thing to me is money and if I can make an absurd amount of money without having to be stressed out of my mind. The only person you should worry about is yourself and if anyone tells you otherwise they are out of their minds.”

“That’s What Makes Me Special” – MJF Explains What Sets Him Apart From Other Wrestlers

MJF returned to AEW at All Out on September 4th following the title match between CM Punk and Jon Moxley.

CM Punk emerged victorious at the PPV and MJF showed up to close the show. Maxwell had won the Casino Ladder match earlier in the night after Stokely Hathaway’s The Firm stable interfered.

MJF walked down to the ring in a devil’s mask and was handed the chip to ensure him a future shot at the AEW World Championship. Jon Moxley captured the title once again by defeating Bryan Danielson at Dynamite: Slam in the finals of the Tournament of Champions. Moxley is set to face NJPW star Juice Robinson in a World Title Eliminator tomorrow night on Dynamite.

MJF On What Makes Him Special In Wrestling Today

Maxwell was a guest on KFC Radio this week and spoke about his incredible rise to stardom in All Elite Wrestling at just 26 years old. Host Kevin Clancy brought up fans who get caught up in the technical aspect of the matches and said that this isn’t the Olympics. MJF responded with the following:

“I think in a way that’s where wrestling fell off and what I love about professional wrestling now is I feel like it’s a cornucopia of all these different styles. It’s every single different flavor of ice cream.

And then you have a guy like me who is a superstar. I walk out there, I can do it in the ring or on the microphone. I’ll talk into the mic and I give you no choice but to stay tuned in. That’s what makes me special and the company that I’m in right now currently, as long as they keep paying me the fat bucks.

What makes my company special is they let me go out there with zero hindrance. It’s f***ing insane the amount of money I’m making right now. I took a break, rightfully so. I told my boss I want more money and he said no. I said ‘oh word, deuces’.

I bounced, and my boss realized over the summer that without MJF, there is no AEW. And he paid up and I didn’t have to sign a contract extension, so I’m a happy boy.”

MJF Reveals The Insider Wrestling Term He Won’t Use

MJF is one of the most popular wrestlers on the planet and is sitting pretty with a title shot anytime he wants it.

The 26-year-old won the Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out on September 4th. Stokely Hathaway’s faction “The Firm” interfered in the match and retrieved the chip suspended above the ring.

A man in a devil’s mask made his way to the ring and was handed the chip that signifies a title shot. After CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to win the title at the PPV, it was revealed that MJF was the masked man. It was MJF’s first appearance since his explosive promo at The Forum in Los Angeles in June.

MJF On Why He Won’t Use The Word “Promo”

Maxwell appeared on KFC Radio recently and discussed several topics. He claimed to be the most exciting wrestler since the Attitude Era and spoke about his meteoric rise to stardom in All Elite Wrestling.

“I got signed on to a top brand in the world of professional wrestling at only 22 years old. I am now 26. After being on national television for only three years, I am one of, and this is a fact, facts don’t care about your feelings, look up the numbers if you do not believe me.

I’m one of the biggest draws in the entire business at 26 years old. I’m not one of the guys that, I call it grapple f***ing, and what grapple f***ing is these guys walking out all sweaty with no personality.

I don’t care, you don’t care, nobody in their right mind cares. Everyone on Twitter pretends they care, but then I come out and they lose their s***.”

MJF then refused to use the word “promo” in the interview and suggested the term “oratory exhibitionist instead.

“I don’t like to use that word by the way. Oratory exhibitionist. I don’t use the p-word. That sounds phony. Promo, I don’t use that word. That sounds phony to me. It is very phony”.

Ronda Rousey: WWE Fans Respect Legends More than UFC Fans

Ronda Rousey is set to battle Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match at the Premium Live Event on October 8th.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet earned the title shot by winning a Fatal 5-Way on the September 9th edition of SmackDown. Liv Morgan sent a message to Ronda on this past Friday’s episode of the blue brand following her bout with Lacey Evans.

Morgan hit Oblivion to pick up the pinfall victory but wanted more. She climbed to the top turnbuckle and connected with a Senton to send Lacey crashing through the table. The 28-year-old then looked at the camera and stated “I’m ready for you Ronda! Let’s get Extreme!”.

What Does Ronda Rousey Think Is The Difference Between WWE & UFC Fans?

Ronda Rousey spoke about the difference between UFC and WWE fans on her latest gaming stream on her YouTube channel. The former UFC Women’s Champion said that WWE fans respect the legends of the business for a lot longer.

She pointed out how the WWE Universe will remember something a wrestler did twenty years ago, while UFC fans are ready to move on if you are no longer at the top.

I would say that the WWE fans care more about the wrestlers than the UFC fans care more about the fighters. UFC fans have much less respect for the veterans and legends of the sport than WWE fans do.

A lot of UFC fans are kind of like bandwagon fans in that way. The second you’re not on top, you’re dead to them. Where WWE fans are like, ‘this is the guy that did this 20 years ago’ and are still really excited whereas UFC fans now are like, ‘Forrest Griffin sucks.’ Uhh, you owe basically the whole sport to him. S*** like that. ‘Anderson Silva sucks. GSP [Georges St-Pierre] sucks.’

These are people that elevated the sport and paved the way for everybody else. I don’t see UFC fans having the same respect for people that got the sport to where it is as WWE fans. I’m not saying it’s completely absent, I’m just saying I see more respect for legends in WWE fans than UFC fans. There are exceptions to everything.

MJF Claims He Is The Most Exciting Thing To Happen In Wresting “In Over A Decade”

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known in All Elite Wrestling as MJF, is one of the most popular stars in all of professional wrestling today.

He has been making the media rounds after winning the Casino Ladder match at AEW All Out. MJF now has a title shot at a time and place of his choosing. MJF watched from the crowd as Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson in the main event of Dynamite: Grand Slam to capture the AEW World Championship.

The 26-year-old spoke with Kevin Clancy (KFC) of Barstool Sports on KFC Radio recently. KFC noted that he fell off as a wrestling fan after the Attitude Era but credited MJF for getting him to watch it again.

“Because I am attitude. This is what I like to tell people, I think the Attitude Era was the best era of professional wrestling until right now because right now has me. And I say that with love and respect, and I say it humbly.

I genuinely feel I’m the most exciting thing to happen in professional wrestling in over a decade. Everyone in my industry, they all want to just tiptoe around the line. If this is the line, I don’t just step over it, I’ll f***ing jump over it.

Because what people want is somebody who is honest, open, not afraid to speak their mind and that is me to a T. I’m not fake, I’m not phony, I’m as real as it gets. I think now more than ever that is what professional wrestling needs and I think that is what All Elite Wrestling brings to the table.” [5:23- 06:06]

Jim Cornette On Saraya Signing With AEW: “How Did WWE Let Her Get Away?”

WWE legend Jim Cornette recently praised Saraya on his podcast following her debut in All Elite Wrestling.

Saraya made her debut last Wednesday at Dynamite: Grand Slam. Toni Storm defended the Interim AEW Women’s Championship in a 4-Way against Serena Deeb, Athena, and Britt Baker. Toni escaped with a victory but the heels attacked her after the match. Saraya made her debut and Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter retreated upon her arrival.

Cornette is one of the most vocal critics of All Elite Wrestling but praised the former WWE star on The Jim Cornette Experience. He noted the impressive reaction she got from the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“As soon as the word Saraya came up on the screen, the place went ballistic. I don’t even know if they would have cheered if that had happened in a WWE building because none of the WWE fans would have known probably what Paige’s real name was, well maybe the most devoted.

But these fans, they are the smart ones and they knew it was Paige, and boy, the place comes apart and the heels bail out of the ring, and the fans go crazy. Paige walks into the ring, smiles at the people, and that was it.”

Jim then wondered why WWE would let her get away if she has been cleared to wrestle.

“If she has been cleared to wrestle, then why did the WWE let her get away? She’s not with Alberto Del Maniac anymore… She’s not having public meltdowns. So if she was cleared to wrestle, and could wrestle, how did the WWE let her get away?

Cornette added if she hasn’t been cleared to wrestle, then Tony Khan would have to be a complete lunatic to sign her given the circumstances.

“You would have to be a complete lunatic to sign a wrestler under those circumstances without having them check to see if they can wrestle. So what’s going on here? I’ll tell you another thing, if Paige was paying close attention to that match, she’s gotta be thinking ‘holy f***, this is worse than a shoot. I don’t want to get involved with these people.”
