Chris Jericho on Heat with Triple H in WWE: “There Were a lot of Issues Between the Two of Us”

Chris Jericho spent the majority of his career in WWE but has found a new home in All Elite Wrestling.

Jericho is currently the Ring of Honor Champion and will be defending the title in a 4-Way against Bryan Danielson, Sammy Guevara, and Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Full Gear on November 19th.

The 52-year-old recently signed a contract extension with All Elite Wrestling, which reportedly surprised some in WWE that were expecting him to return and go into the company’s Hall of Fame.

Chris Jericho on His Issues with Triple H

Jericho discussed his issues with Triple H in the past and claimed that The Game almost got him fired because he had heat with Chyna back in the day.

Speaking on his Jericho Chronicles Q&A session on his podcast, The Wizard said he called Triple H for directions once and The Game shouted at him to “buy a map!” as his pals laughed in the background. Jericho added that he had heat with Chyna and that furthered his issues with Triple H.

There were a lot of issues between the two of us. There’s a problem that I had with Chyna that was kind of predicated by him.

Chris claimed that most of the heat stemmed from WWE guys not wanting WCW guys in the locker room.

There was a lot of animosity for real, because I had the audacity to come to WWE. People didn’t like it. They didn’t want WCW guys coming to WWE, because they felt we were inferior. So you could do ten things right, but if you did one thing wrong, you were under a microscope and you were in trouble. And those guys had pull, so they’d bury you to Vince.

Le Champion added that he almost got fired a month in to his WWE career after a meeting with Jim Ross, Blackjack Lanza, and Vince McMahon.

I almost got fired about a month in, I got called into a meeting with Vince, JR, and Blackjack Lanza and Vince said ‘The problem with you is the drizzling sh*ts. You’re not worth the paper your contract is printed on. You’re green as grass.’ I was like ‘Lighten up dude.’ There was a lot of heat, shall we say.

Seth Rollins to Defend US Title, Multiple Matches Changed Ahead of Tonight’s WWE Raw

Seth Rollins attempted to have an Open Challenge for the United States Championship last week and Finn Balor accepted.

However, The OC interrupted and Mia Yim made her return to the company to battle with Rhea Ripley. Rollins retreated out of the ring but issued the Open Challenge once again and it was accepted by Mustafa Ali backstage.

Bobby Lashley then attacked Seth Rollins and accepted the Open Challenge. Rollins won the US Title from Lashley after The Beast Brock Lesnar attacked The All Mighty. Lashley got his revenge on Rollins last week and attacked him instead of having a match.

Austin Theory took the opportunity to cash-in his MITB contract on Seth but it backfired. Bobby got Theory in the Hurt Lock and Rollins capitalized with a Stomp for a pinfall victory.

US Title Match Added to WWE Raw

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor were originally supposed to square off in a non-title match against each other tonight on the red brand. RAW correspondent Byron Saxton took to Twitter and announced that the bout tonight was now for the United States Championship.

Matt Riddle was scheduled to team up with Elias tonight but that match has been changed. The duo were supposed to face American Alpha tonight on the red brand but Riddle will battle Chad Gable in a singles match instead.

WWE posted a preview for the tag team match earlier in the week that read:

Ever since returning, Elias has had a tough time, most recently suffering a loss to Otis. He has, however, found a fan in Matt Riddle, who keeps insisting they form a band. With Elias’ musical talents and The Original Bro’s superb bongo ripping, the two would light up an audience.

Now, they get to do just that as they team together for the first time to take on Otis and Chad Gable of Alpha Academy, who will look to make Nov. 14 the day the music died.”

The preview has since been replaced for the singles match between Riddle and Gable tonight.

He noted that he discovered wrestling at 27, but feels comfortable in the ring and claimed that he will be doing it for a long time.

“No nerves, to be honest,” said Logan Paul. “Like when you prepare as much as I do for events of this magnitude, there’s nothing left to do but to go show up and perform. And honestly, like, this is what I do best. This is what I do best in the world. I discovered it at 27, but I feel so comfortable in the ring. I’ll be doing this for a long time.”

Miro Jokes About Lack of TV Time in AEW: “Remember that Guy?”

Former TNT Champion Miro hasn’t been featured on AEW television lately and there hasn’t been any reason provided for his absence.

He was randomly thrown in a 6-man tag team match at the now infamous All Out PPV on September 4th. Miro teamed up with Darby Allin and Sting to defeat the House of Black at the PPV.

Buddy Matthews bashed Miro with Sting’s baseball bat to take him out of the match. Sting spit mist in Malakai Black’s eyes and Darby capitalized for the pinfall victory. Darby Allin and Sting have been booked for a match at AEW Full Gear on November 19th. The duo will battle Jay Lethal and the recently signed Jeff Jarrett in a tag team match.

  • AEW Full Gear 2022 Preview

Miro is not currently booked for a match for the PPV at the Prudential Center this Saturday. All Elite Wrestling is holding another World Title Eliminator tournament with the finals taking place at the PPV. Miro was a part of the tournament last year but lost to Bryan Danielson in the finals via submission at Full Gear 2021. The former TNT Champion was a replacement for Jon Moxley when he stepped away last year. He was not included in the tournament this year.

A fan on Twitter put together some highlights of The Redeemer in All Elite Wrestling and Miro responded. The 37-year-old responded with “remember that guy?”, a nod to his mysterious lack of television time on Dynamite or Rampage.

CJ Perry on Miro’s Lack of TV Time

Former WWE Superstar CJ Perry (Lana) and Miro’s better half joined Busted Open Radio recently and was asked about her husband’s bizarre booking in All Elite Wrestling. She noted that AEW President Tony Khan has his favorites that he is going to push.

Tony Khan has his favorites and he’s going to push the favorites just like Vince [McMahon] would push his favorites, just like Hunter is going to push his people. It’s show business.

“I Like Scary Chicks” – Liv Morgan Hangs Out with AEW Star (Photo)

Liv Morgan has had a career year in WWE. She won the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match and cashed in on the same night. She defeated Ronda Rousey to become SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Morgan picked up another victory over Ronda at this year’s SummerSlam in a controversial finish. The Baddest Woman on the Planet recaptured the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match at the premium live event. Liv has since taken a liking to extreme matches, while Ronda is set to defend the title against Shotzi at Survivor Series WarGames.

Liv Morgan was spotted with AEW star Abadon over the weekend. The two were a part of the Big Event expo in New York and took a photo together.

Abadon replied with several heart emojis while Liv Morgan’s former tag team partner Rhea Ripley responded “I know”.

Liv Morgan Appears on Chucky TV Series

Liv Morgan recently made a cameo on the Chucky TV show. The 28-year-old’s appearance on the show didn’t last long as the villainous doll killed her off immediately.

She spoke with USA Insider to promote the show and revealed she reached out to WWE and asked to be in the show.

So I just went to WWE and I was like, ‘Do you think there’s any opportunity for me in any capacity? Because I’d love to be involved in any way, shape, or form.’

And so they reached out, and I was actually put in touch with Don Mancini, the show’s creator – he’s been so gracious to me.

We jumped on a Zoom and he was able to write me into the script. It’s been almost a pipe dream come true. It started with an ask that turned into something unbelievable.

WWE Superstar Pulled from SmackDown World Cup Due to Injury

The SmackDown World Cup began this past Friday on WWE SmackDown. Santos Escobar of Legado del Fantasma defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round. The superstar that wins the SmackDown World Cup will earn an Intercontinental Championship match against Gunther.

Rey Mysterio was scheduled to be a part of the tournament to potentially earn a rematch against The Ring General. Mysterio was traded to WWE SmackDown after he tried to quit the company to avoid dealing with his son, Dominik Mysterio, and the Judgment Day on RAW.

Triple H orchestrated a trade that sent Baron Corbin to the red brand in exchange for Rey. On his first night on the blue brand, Rey replaced Karrion Kross in a Fatal 4-Way after he was attacked by Drew McIntyre in the parking lot. Mysterio won the match to become the #1 contender for the IC Title. Gunther defeated the 47-year-old on the November 4th edition of SmackDown to retain the title.

Rey Mysterio Replaced Due to Injury

According to a report by Ringside News, Rey Mysterio was seen backstage with a walking boot and is currently dealing with a “short-term” injury. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer backed up the report and said Rey is dealing with an ankle or foot injury.

Mustafa Ali has replaced Rey Mysterio in the SmackDown World Cup tournament and will battle Ricochet on the November 18th episode of SmackDown. Despite being in the tournament on SmackDown, Mustafa is still currently a member of the RAW roster.

Bret Hart on Why He Regrets Leaving WWE: “I Probably Wouldn’t Have Had to Wrestle Bill Goldberg”

Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Shawn “The Heartbreak Kid” were recently profiled by The Ringer on the 25th anniversary of the Montreal Screwjob.

At Survivor Series 1997, Bret defended the WWF Championship at the time against Shawn Michaels in the main event. The Heartbreak Kid locked in Bret’s finishing move, the Sharpshooter, and the bell rang even though Hart had not tapped out. Hart spat in former WWE CEO Vince McMahon and motioned the letters “WCW” to the camera.

Speaking with The Ringer, Bret admitted that he held bitterness toward Shawn Michaels for a long time. He claimed that it was watching Michaels and The Undertaker at WrestleMania that caused him to finally bury the hatchet.

We had our issues over the years. But I watched Undertaker and Shawn Michaels wrestle at one of the WrestleManias. Even then, I had such a bitterness towards Shawn, but I had to admit it was one of the greatest matches I ever watched.

That’s where I ended up deciding to make friends with Shawn and bury the hatchet and all that

The Hitman added that shaking hands with Shawn Michaels in 2010 was very real and moving for him.

Me and Shawn making up in the ring (in 2010) and shaking hands and all that, that was all very real and very moving for me. And was not something that was orchestrated.

Shawn wanted that off his back and I was in a position to take it off his back and that was the best resolution for both of us. We’ve been friends ever since. And I’m grateful that he’s in a better place today

Bret took another shot at Goldberg and said that he wished he never left WWE because he probably wouldn’t have had to get in the ring with the former WCW Champion.

I wish that none of the bad history that we had-had ever happened. I wished I’d never left for WCW because I probably wouldn’t have had a stroke and I probably wouldn’t have had to wrestle Bill Goldberg.

Hart referred to himself as a “WWE guy” and said he was proud of everything he did in the ring.

I was always a WWE guy, always. And I almost resent when someone talks about me like I wasn’t. They’re surprised I’m even around today. But I gave everything I had to that company and I’m proud of everything I did in the ring and I’m proud of what I represented.

Zelina Vega and B-Fab were scheduled to have a singles match tonight on WWE SmackDown. Before the bell rang, the Viking Raiders attacked Legado del Fantasma and Hit Row ringside.

Sarah Logan was released from WWE in 2020 as the company made budget cuts during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was a part of the Riott Squad with Liv Morgan and former WWE Superstar Ruby Riott. Ruby is now a part of the All Elite Wrestling roster and performs as Ruby Soho.

Logan married Erik of the Viking Raiders in December 2018. Sarah and Erik also welcomed a child to their family last year. The wedding was a Viking Ceremony and you can check out photos in the link below.

3 Tag Teams Who Could Dethrone The Usos in WWE

The Usos defeated New Day tonight on WWE SmackDown and are just a couple of days away from becoming the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history. Jimmy and Jey seem unbeatable at the moment and on top of that, they have The Bloodline in their corner.

  • Best Moments of The Usos’ Historic Tag Title Reign in WWE

It will be a tall task for any tag team on RAW or SmackDown to dethrone The Usos. Here are a few teams that may be able to accomplish that goal in the near future:

#3. RK-Bro

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle formed an unlikely bond in WWE. For whatever reason, the pairing worked and RK-Bro was a wildly entertaining duo. Randy Orton and Riddle battled Jimmy and Jey in a Tag Title Unification match on the May 20th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was ringside for the match and wound up getting involved. Riddle and Jey Uso were battling on the top turnbuckle when Roman hopped on the ring apron. The Tribal Chief held onto Jey as Matt went for a Superplex. Riddle crashed to the canvas and Jey was able to capitalize on the interference with a Frog Splash to unify the titles.

It was Orton’s last appearance on the show as he has been out of action with a concerning back injury. Hopefully, The Viper is able to come back to WWE in the near future and reunite with the Original Bro on RAW. Riddle won his rivalry with Seth Rollins and defeated The Visionary at Extreme Rules.

However, Seth Rollins has already become United States Champion since the Fight Pit match last month. Riddle is still hovering around the tag title division and teamed up with New Day on this past Monday’s episode of RAW in a loss to The Bloodline. RK-Bro versus The Usos would be a great match at next year’s WrestleMania in Hollywood.

#2. The Viking Raiders

Erik and Ivar of the Viking Raiders have had one of the strangest main roster runs for a tag team in recent memory. They were known as the War Raiders in NXT and were a dominant tag team to be taken seriously.

They debuted on the main roster on the April 19th edition of RAW as “The Viking Experience”, a ridiculous name that never caught on with fans. Erik and Ivar now use the name for their finishing move.

After having their names changed to The Viking Raiders, they captured the RAW Tag Team Championships from Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler on WWE RAW on October 14, 2019. Their title reign lasted 98 days before dropping them to Seth Rollins and former WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy.

The team then went downhill fast and turned into a comedy act. They entered a feud with the Street Profits that was more focused on playing basketball against each other and trying to make fans laugh rather than get invested in the tag team division.

It appears that the Viking Raiders are about to receive another reset in WWE, this time with Sarah Logan by their side. Erik and Sarah are married and she has been featured in a couple of vignettes on SmackDown. The former Riott Squad member was released in 2020. If the Viking Raiders are able to finally recapture what made them a great team in NXT on the main roster, they could pose a legitimate threat to the title reign of The Usos.

#1. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

The underlying tension within The Bloodline is certainly going to boil over at some point. Jey Uso let his true feelings about Sami Zayn be known to the WWE Universe on a recent edition of SmackDown. He noted that he doesn’t like Sami’s hair, face, or anything about him. The tag champion added that Sami can’t be part of The Bloodline when he isn’t blood.

The Honorary Uce asked for peace and pointed out that Roman Reigns asked them to work out their differences. Jey shouted that he doesn’t give a damn what the Tribal Chief said and instantly regretted it. Roman threatened to make Sami a full-blown Uce and rename him “Sami Uso” if Jey doesn’t get his head right. Zayn calmed everything down by saying Jey hasn’t been feeling very “Ucey” lately.

Triple H and WWE reportedly had plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to team up but they were put on hold due to the incredible popularity of the Honorary Uce at the moment. KO approached Sami backstage while he was wearing an Honorary Uce shirt recently and told him that he needs a new shirt.

There will come a time when The Bloodline will turn its back on Sami Zayn and boot him out of the group. It would be awesome to see Sami’s old friend Kevin Owens show up and fight by his side. KO main-evented WrestleMania against Stone Cold Steve Austin and has done very little of note since.

He was involved in a goofy storyline with Ezekiel before disappearing from WWE TV. The Game thinks highly of KO as he quite literally handed him the Universal Championship back in the day, so one has to believe it is only a matter of time before the Prizefighter returns to the product in an impactful way.

The Usos Vow to Make History on Tonight’s WWE SmackDown

The Usos are set to battle the New Day tonight on WWE SmackDown in a historic match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

Jimmy and Jey enter the match as Undisputed Tag Team Champions for 481 days. The New Day currently holds the record for longest-reigning champions at 483 days. If The Usos win tonight’s match and don’t drop the titles at a random WWE Live Event over the weekend, they will be the new record holders in the company.

Our live results will begin alongside tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown. The SmackDown World Cup and a Six-Pack Challenge to determine Ronda Rousey’s next opponent have also been announced for tonight’s show.

The Usos Deliver Message to WWE Universe ahead of Historic Title match

Cathy Kelly caught up to Jimmy and Jey Uso as they arrived at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

She wondered if fatigue could possibly play a role in the title match tonight for The Usos. Jimmy and Jey successfully defended their Undisputed Tag Team Championships against the Brawling Brutes this past Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

“I think, of course, fatigue is a factor,” said Jimmy Uso. “You know what I’m saying? We’re tired. I’m sure the New Day is tired. But when it is go time out there, it is all about which team wants it the most.”

Jey Uso added that they will make history tonight on SmackDown and tonight is for the family.

That is real talk Cathy,” said Jey Uso. “It is about to get rough, rugged, and raw out there tonight. This right here, we make history tonight. This right here is for the family, this right here is for the ones.

When SmackDown returned, The Usos brought Kingston out of the ring and launched him into the barricade. Jey hit Kofi with a dive through the ropes before the action returned to the ring. The crowd chanted “we want Sami!” and Jey blocked his ears. SmackDown announcer Michael Cole announced that Sami wasn’t at the show tonight due to a personal issue.

Jey caught Kingston with a cheap shot as Jimmy distracted the official. Kofi booted Jey away and went for the tag but Jimmy pulled Xavier Woods off the ring apron. Jey connected with a Neckbreaker and went for the cover but Kingston kicked out at two as SmackDown went to another break.

Kofi tagged in and hit Jimmy with a Splash. Woods followed it up with a Leg Drop off the top rope and Kingston went for the cover but Jimmy was able to kick out at the last moment. Kingston hit the Boom Drop and went for Trouble in Paradise but Jimmy dodged it.

Jey Uso tagged in and Kingston greeted him with an SOS for a close near fall. Kingston pounded on the mat in frustration as the match continued. The WWE Universe chanted “this is awesome” as Woods tagged in. Xavier hit Jey with a headbutt but Uso responded with a Superkick.

Jimmy tagged in and The Usos hit Woods and Kingston with several Superkicks. The Usos climbed to opposite corners of the ring and hit Woods with a double Splash but somehow Xavier kicked out at two!

Jey tagged in Jimmy Uso and The Usos posed in the ring and waited for Woods to get up. Kofi dragged Jey to the outside and sent him into the steel steps. New Day hit Midnight Hour on Jey outside the ring. Back in the ring, Xavier hit Jimmy with a DDT. Kofi tagged in and New Day hit Midnight Hour on Jimmy in the ring. Kofi went for the cover but Jey broke it up at the last moment and the match continued.

Woods and Jey battled out of the ring and Uso hit a Superkick that sent Xavier into the timekeeper’s area. The Usos isolated Kofi in the corner and brought him up the top rope. Kingston tried to battle back but jumped into a 1D from The Usos for the pinfall victory. The Usos retained the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions and will make history as the longest-reigning team. Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman were shown watching on backstage after the match.

Santos Escobar Advanced to the Semifinals SmackDown World Cup

Shinsuke Nakamura battled Santos Escobar in the first round of the SmackDown World Cup. The winner of the tournament will get a shot at Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. Nakamura controlled the match early and knocked Escobar out of the ring as SmackDown went to commercial.

When SmackDown returned, Escobar was in control as Legada del Fantasma watched on from ringside. Nakamura caught Santos with an Enziguri but Wilde dragged Santos out of the ring. Shinsuke hit Wilde with a Dropkick and rolled Santos back into the ring. Del Toro jumped off the steps but Nakamura hit him with a knee.

Shinsuke climbed to the top rope but Santos booted him in the face. Escobar hit a Phantom Driver for the pinfall victory. Santos Escobar has advanced to the semifinals of the SmackDown World Cup.

Shotzi Earned a Title Shot Against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series: Wargames

Liv Morgan, Xia Li, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Sonya Deville, and Lacey Evans competed in a Six-Pack Challenge tonight. The winner of the match earned a shot against Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Raquel and Xia battled outside the ring as Lacey sent Shotzi into the turnbuckle. Li shoved Rodriguez into the ring post as Lacey delivered the Woman’s Right to Shotzi. Evans went for the cover but Deville broke it up at two. Morgan bounced Deville’s head off the turnbuckle several times before throwing her out of the ring. Liv sent Deville into the steps as Li shoved Raquel into the ring post.

Liv set up the steel steps next to the announce table but Sonya slammed her down on top of them. Xia dragged Shotzi to the corner of the ring and climbed to the top rope. Rodriguez joined her up there and hit a Superplex. Sonya tried to steal the win but Li kicked out at two. Sonya hit a knee strike to Raquel’s face as SmackDown went to a commercial.

Back from the break, Liv hit a Dropkick on Xia and delivered a Splash to Lacey Evans. Liv hit several Splashes on Evans and Li in opposite corners of the ring. She connected with a Codebreaker on Evans and then a DDT on Raquel. Deville threw Liv out of the ring and tried to steal the win again but Morgan broke it up at two.

Shotzi hit Sonya with a DDT but Evans caught her with a Clothesline. Xia hit an Enziguri but Raquel caught her with a massive Powerbomb. Rodriguez went for the cover but Sonya pulled her out of the ring. Raquel delivered a big boot and brought a table out from under the ring as the crowd cheered.

Rodriguez set up for something but Liv jumped off the table. The move was completely botched and all three superstars fell to the floor awkwardly next to the table. Shotzi hit the Never Wake Up on Lacey Evans for the pinfall victory. It was announced after the match with a graphic that Shotzi will battle Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series: WarGames.

After the match, Emma congratulated Shotzi backstage and wished her luck. She asked if Shotzi had seen Madcap Moss around (the two are a couple in real life) and Shotzi claimed that Emma was crushing on the SmackDown star.

Shayna Baszler confronted Shotzi and said Ronda will break one of her limbs at the PLE. Ronda showed up for a stare-down with Shotzi but Baszler choked the challenger out with the Kirifuda Clutch from behind.

Bray Wyatt Confronted LA Knight

LA Knight cut a backstage promo about not being in the SmackDown World Cup. Bray Wyatt’s logo kept flashing behind him and Bray showed up. Wyatt said he can see all the anger and rage brewing inside Knight. Bray added that his whole life people have been saying that his rage will make a monster out of him.

He laughed and said he knows what it takes to get respect. Bray asked LA Knight how far he is willing to go to get respect. LA Knight suggested that he go play with his puppets and Wyatt headbutted him to end the segment.

Braun Strowman Advanced in the SmackDown World Cup

Jinder Mahal made his triumphant return and vowed to win the SmackDown World Cup. Jinder battled Braun Strowman in the first round of the tournament. Mahal got in some offense early before the Monster of All Monsters hit some shoulder tackles outside the ring. Back in the ring, Strowman hit a Powerbomb for the pinfall victory. Braun Strowman has advanced to the semifinals of the SmackDown World Cup.

Viking Raiders Returned with Sarah Logan

Zelina Vega was set to battle B-Fab but the match never happend. The Viking Raiders returned as Sarah Logan attacked B-Fab. Ivar hit Del Toro with a Splash against the barricade. Viking Raiders dragged Adonis to the corner and Ivar hit him with another Splash. Viking Raiders isolated Top Dolla and beat him down. Erik and Ivar connected with a big Powerbomb as Sarah Logan dragged B-Fab out of the ring. Viking Raiders beat both teams down and posed in the ring.

The Brawling Brutes Confronted The Bloodline

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns made his way to the ring with The Usos and Paul Heyman at the end of tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Heyman insulted Indianapolis and the crowd booed. Paul joked that wasn’t very “Ucey” of the crowd.

Heyman hyped up The Usos before handing the microphone to the Tribal Chief. Reigns noted that it is not being his cousin and their whole lives, everyone has always acknowledged Roman for his greatness. Roman was about to acknowledge The Usos but the Brawling Brutes interrupted.

Ridge Holland and Butch said that they are sick of The Bloodline using the numbers game every week. Holland said it is Fight Night and they have brought back up. The Celtic Warrior’s theme hit and Sheamus made his way to the entrance ramp. The microphone didn’t work and Roman laughed about it.

The Brawling Brutes got into the ring and a brawl broke out. The Bloodline beat The Brawling Brutes down as Reigns posed in the ring. Drew McIntyre marched down to the ring and delivered a big boot. McIntyre knocked Jimmy to the outside and knocked Solo down. Reigns hit McIntyre with a boot to the face but Sheamus attacked him from behind. The brawl continued as SmackDown went off the air.

Braun Strowman Reportedly Has Backstage Heat in WWE

Braun Strowman battled Omos in a clash of the giants at WWE Crown Jewel. The Monster of All Monsters went toe-to-toe with the Nigerian Giant in front of the packed crowd at Mrsool Park.

Omos dominated the majority of the match but couldn’t keep Strowman down. Braun battled back and showed off his incredible strength by somehow lifting Omos up onto his shoulders. Strowman connected with his Running Powerslam for the impressive victory.

  • 9 Best Moments from WWE Crown Jewel 2022

It didn’t take long for Strowman to boast about his victory on Twitter. Unfortunately, he decided to trash wrestlers that perform different styles than his in the process and got called out by WWE Superstars Ricochet, Mustafa Ali, and wrestlers in various promotions.

Braun Strowman Has Heat in WWE

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Braun Strowman has “very real” heat backstage in WWE. Strowman was criticized by several of his coworkers for mocking “flippy” wrestlers and comparing them to grocery baggers.

The report states that Braun has been on his “best behavior” since his return to the company, but “social media Braun” is a different story. His social media posts are also not a part of an upcoming angle and most likely will not be turned into one. The company may rib Strowman about his tweets on commentary or during a segment on television.

Fightful spoke to a wrestler who claimed that they will “never do a flip in their life” but noted that wrestling needs different styles and there is no right or wrong way of doing it. The wrestler added that Strowman didn’t come into the business like most wrestlers and likely just doesn’t understand.

Jeff Jarrett Takes Shot at Braun Strowman on Dynamite

Jeff Jarrett appeared last night on AEW Dynamite at the Agganis Arena in Boston. Double J was released from WWE earlier this year and has now joined AEW in an on-screen and backstage role. Jarrett mocked Strowman and Triple H during the promo hyping up Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh.

This isn’t no make-believe monster who wears red skinny jeans and is produced by the banana nose circus.

Michael Cole on WWE without Vince McMahon: “The Show Must Go on”

Vince McMahon made resigned from WWE in July. The 77-year-old made the announcement on Twitter as the company launched an investigation into alleged hush money payments to former female employees. John Laurinaitis was also involved in the scandal and was dismissed as the company’s EVP of Talent Relations.

Following Vince McMahon’s departure, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named co-CEOs. Triple H took over as EVP of Talent Relations and was also given the title of Chief Content Officer. The reported sentiment backstage within WWE is that it would be a step back for the company if the former CEO were to return.

Michael Cole on WWE without Vince McMahon

Michael Cole joined his SmackDown commentary partner Pat McAfee on his show today. McAfee is currently not on the SmackDown broadcast after signing a full-time deal with ESPN for College Gameday. He presumably will return to the blue brand after the college football season.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Michael Cole said that everything has been great following Vince’s exit and the show must go on.

Everything has been great. It’s been a great change of scenery the past couple of months. Things are going wonderfully. Ratings have been good, stories have been great, it’s a different world.

I worked under Vince for 25 years and I knew nothing else. He’s a second dad in many ways, I grew up in the company. It was a shock when it first happened and we’ve all settled in and realized the show must go on. The show is going on and we’re doing well.

Watch: Dwayne Johnson Refers to Himself as The Rock for the First Time

It’s Thursday, you know what that means? It is time for a Throwback post.

On this day in WWE 25-year-ago, Rocky Maivia confronted Stone Cold Steve Austin. It was the first encounter between the two legends, but it was also the first time Dwayne ever referred to himself as “The Rock”. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock went on to have a legendary rivalry in WWE. Stone Cold defeated The Rock at WrestleMania 15 and 17.

The Rock got his revenge and defeated Stone Cold at WrestleMania 19. It was The Rattlesnake’s final match before he returned and defeated Kevin Owens at this year’s WrestleMania.

During the promo on WWE RAW, he scolded the crowd and said the following to Stone Cold Steve Austin:

If you’ve got enough manhood to accept my challenge, then your bottom line will read ‘has-been, compliments of The Rock’.

Ric Flair not Convinced The Rock will Return to WWE for WrestleMania

The Nature Boy recently hung up his boots (at least for now) at Ric Flair’s Last Match on July 31st. He teamed with his son-in-law, disgruntled AEW star Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and new AEW signee Jeff Jarrett during SummerSlam weekend.

Speaking on the latest edition of his To Be The Man podcast, Flair discussed the rumored matchup between The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Hollywood. While most fans believe that it would make sense for The Great One to battle The Tribal Chief at WWE’s biggest event, Ric wasn’t so sure.

The 73-year-old stated that it wouldn’t make sense for The Rock to defeat Roman because he’s not a full-time wrestler anymore. The Nature Boy added that he’s not sure if The Rock would want to return only to lose again.

I don’t think it’s a given that the Rock is going to do it. As much as he might respect Roman, I’m sure they do, all those guys. It’s a brotherhood like no other. I don’t think The Rock would come back and do a favor.

Why would he? Tomorrow morning, what, he goes back to his acting career with a loss? I don’t think so. I don’t see that happening.

NWA Star Blasts Nick Aldis for His ‘Bullsh**’

Nick Aldis recently announced on a video meant for Instagram subscribers only that he will be exiting NWA in January.

In the deleted video, Aldis was critical of the product and owner Billy Corgan. Nick later posted a message on social media saying that he will provide more details once he learns how to post videos only for his subscribers.

I released that video earlier but it was supposed to be for subscribers only. Wtf… anyway as you may have seen I gave my notice to the NWA. I’ll be a free agent on January 1st. Once I figure out how to do videos for subscribers only I’ll be back with more insight on the decision, conversations with Mickie and my agent and more…

Love you all.

Quote via WrestleZone

The two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion has been with the company since Billy Corgan arrived in 2017. Following the announcement of his departure, NWA suspended Aldis. He was scheduled ti face Odison at NWA Hard Times 3 on the 12th.

Trevor Murdoch Blasts Nick Aldis

NWA star Trevor Murdoch spoke with Sean Radican of PW Torch to promote NWA Hard Times 3. Murdoch said that his relationship with Aldis hasn’t fallen apart and he has all the respect in the world for him. The 42-year-old took issue with Nick dragging the company and the guys in it.

I have a ton of gratitude for Nick in that aspect. I think where the heat is with Billy with Nick, is the fact that Nick wasn’t happy with — I’m only repeating what he said. He wasn’t happy with the company. He wasn’t happy with the relationship between what was going on between him and Billy.

My only issue was, I didn’t agree with Nick dragging the company and dragging the guys in it. When you start making comments, like the show’s too embarrassing for me to be a part of. First off, I think that’s a little bullsh*t.

Trevor added that Powerrr has been all about Aldis since it started and there are many talented wrestlers that have made NWA successful.

Secondly, you’re disrespecting all the men and women that you know, Nick’s not the only part of the show.

And since we’ve started Powerrr, it hasn’t been Powerrr about Nick. It’s been NWA Powerrr. So there’s been a lot of talented wrestlers that have come through there that’s helped make NWA successful.

And I just don’t think bringing all those men and women into the middle of your argument or your public squabble. I just don’t think that was the right thing to do. If Nick and Billy want to air out personal grievances, I also think that both sides of the story need to be told.

Trevor noted that only half the story is being told at the moment and the easy thing to do is agree with the negative side because it is a lot more exciting. Murdoch complimented Corgan on not airing his grievances publicly.

It’s very easy for everybody to jump on the negative end and say that’s how it was because it’s a lot juicier. You know what I mean? It’s a lot more exciting.

But there’s only half stories being told on some of this. And I think, the NWA and Billy have taken a stand on being a little bit more professional, and not interested in airing those grievances publicly.

Murdoch agreed with Corgan taking Aldis off of Hard Times 3 because he publicly buried the company on his way out.

Why is Billy any different than WWE in this aspect of the business? And why is it any different than AEW?

If you have a talent that is on their way out and they know they’re leaving, and they decide to just publicly bury the company and the boss, would you be okay with having that guy on your next show and pretending as if none of that sh*t happened?

Not to mention Billy has not only focused on this [but] he has a whole locker room. What does that say to the locker room when that kind of stuff happens? It’s it’s no different than any other job. We’ve all had regular jobs.

If I go run my mouth, and my boss finds out that I’ve been publicly burying him in the company I worked for, I don’t intend to be employed much longer. I mean, where else in the f**king world does that sh*t work?”

Mick Foley & Other Wrestlers Making Big Money on Cameo

Mick Foley may have just left Twitter but is making a boatload of cash on another application.

Cameo is service that in exchange for money, a celebrity, former athlete, or anyone with any notoriety whatsoever, will create a video message in exchange.

According to Betting.com, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has reportedly earned close to $500,000 and is the highest-earning athlete on the application. Brett Favre ranks at #2 and the former Packers QB may be in dire need of the funds in due time with his current legal issues.

The other wrestlers in the top ten are WWE legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart, and AEW’s Matt Hardy and Danhausen. Wrestling is currently the top-earning sport on Cameo. DDP, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, and AEW’s Darby Allin have done well on the platform as well.

Many celebrities film quick videos for their fans that pay them on Cameo. Mick Foley does the opposite and puts a lot of effort into the personalized videos and it is clearly paid off for him. The 57-year-old will often make Cameos for fans as his wrestling personas Cactus Jack or Dude Love.

Mick Foley on Paying the Price for His Wrestling Career

Mick Foley had a legendary wrestling career, spanning decades and multiple promotions. He earned a reputation for his hardcore styles during his career, and perhaps his most memorable moment was being launched off the top of the HIAC by The Undertaker. The WWE legend also has a comedic side to his character in WWE and The Rock n’ Sock Connection is still beloved by wrestling fans.

Speaking on his Foley is Pod show, the Hardcore Legend said that the price he is paying for his wrestling career is steeper than he thought was imaginable.

We’ve been looking over your MRIs and your X-rays. You’ve got too many issues. You got muscular, neurological, skeletal, and even if we are able to help from a neurological standpoint, there’s nothing we can do with those other things.

I’m looking at all these things I did during the course of my career and I mean, I’m paying a steeper price than I thought imaginable.

On a recent episode of the show, a giant pink dinosaur in a wedding dress, labeled “The Bride”, sang Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” hit from 2014. The Wizard also performed Smash Mouth’s “All Star” on the show.

Update on NXT Star’s Future

Cameron Grimes debuted in WWE NXT in 2019 and it appears that his time in the developmental promotion may be coming to an end.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the plan is to bring Cameron Grimes to the main roster following his program with Joe Gacy in NXT.

Cameron Grimes is supposed to go to the main roster. I was told he’s going to finish up with Joe Gacy and then go to the main roster.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio

Grimes battled Joe Gacy in this week’s episode of NXT but came up short after Ava Raine interfered in the bout.

The 29-year-old recently appeared on the main roster in a backstage segment on the October 17th edition of RAW. He asked for The Good Brothers to join him in a 6-man tag team match against Joe Gacy’s Schism faction on NXT. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson accepted and the trio defeated Schism the following night on NXT.

Cameron Grimes on His Debut

The New York Post recently spoke with Grimes following his debut on RAW and the purchase of a new home. Cameron said it was indescribable to have his debut with AJ Styles as he looks up to him.

“I always thought I was gonna have that moment, but you never know how it will come. I thought I might be an extra — like a security guard in the arena or something — but to come in and to be featured in a spot with AJ Styles, who I’ve looked up to since I was a child and I emulated a lot of his career early on because he’s just so good.

So to be able to be featured with him and the Good Brothers [Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson] was so cool. It’s indescribable.”

AEW Teases Appearance by The Elite at Full Gear

The inaugural Trios Champions appear to be on their way back to All Elite Wrestling at the Full Gear PPV on November 19th.

During tonight’s edition of Dynamite, AEW aired another video package featuring The Elite. Kenny Omega and Young Bucks can be seen with Cody Rhodes, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and other wrestlers in the video.

The video features graphics from Full Gear and that appears to be the date Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks will return.

The Elite Suspended after AEW All Out

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks defeated Death Triangle at AEW All Out on September 4th to become the first Trios Champions in company history. Their title reign lasted a few days before they were suspended for their part in a backstage brawl following the PPV.

Jon Moxley and CM Punk had a rivalry leading into the PPV. Moxley had won the AEW World Championship from Punk on an episode of Dynamite two weeks before All Out. The legendary Ace Steel talked Punk into accepting Moxley’s Open Challenge for the AEW World Championship at the PPV. CM Punk wound up accepting the challenge and defeated Moxley to become the AEW World Champion for the 2nd time (without a single title defense).

After CM Punk won the title in front of his hometown crowd, he was confronted by MJF to set up the third match in their rivalry. However, that likely will never happen as the former AEW World Champion went on a tirade after the PPV that had very little to do with winning the title ten minutes prior. CM Punk had also torn his triceps during the match, which would likely have resulted in having to forfeit the title.

The rant led to AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks confronting the champion in his locker room. According to various reports, the door either was kicked open by The Elite and hit Larry the Dog in the face, or The Elite politely knocked. The truth is likely somewhere in between.

What has been confirmed is that a brawl broke out, CM Punk reportedly threw the first punch, Ace Steel hurled a chair at Nick Jackson, bit Kenny Omega, and was fired. The Elite now appear to be on their way back while there has been no word on the status of CM Punk. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has stated that AEW has been negotiating with Punk for a buyout but nothing has come to fruition yet.

Jarrett then brought up Satnam Singh and said he’s a real giant. He added that he’s not a “make believe monster in red skinny jeans produced by the banana nose factory”.

Jeff Jarrett appeared at WWE SummerSlam as the special guest referee for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship match between The Usos and The Street Profits. After Triple H gained power, he let Jarrett go and replaced him with Road Dogg as the SVP of Live Events.

Why AJ Styles Once Told Kevin Nash to ‘Go F*** Himself’

AJ Styles is currently involved in a bitter rivalry with the Judgment Day. Finn Balor spent a few weeks trying to recruit Styles to Judgment Day but the Phenomenal One declinded.

The Judgment Day then attacked Styles and it led to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson returning to the company to reform The OC. The group didn’t have an answer for Rhea Ripley and Judgment Day defeated The OC at Crown Jewel in a 6-man tag.

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge this past Monday on RAW and Finn Balor was about to accept it. The OC interrupted and Mia Yim made her return to the company. Mia attacked Rhea outside the ring and aligned with The OC in their battle against Judgment Day.

Kevin Nash on AJ Styles Telling Him to F*** Off

WWE legend Kevin Nash spoke about the Phenomenal One on a recent edition of the Kliq This podcast. The Hall of Famer revealed the advice he gave AJ ahead of his WrestleMania 32 match against Chris Jericho in 2016.

“I remember AJ’s first WrestleMania. He was just like ‘F*** man, I just want to get through this,’ because they ran him ragged. I said no, I said that’s what they do, they rob you of these moments. I said cherish this because one day you’re going to be my age knowing that you’re never going to get out there again, and you’ll wish to God that you savored this moment that you have right now.”

AJ Styles responded by telling Nash to f*** off.

He said ‘Well go f*** yourself.’ I said okay, I was just trying to help.

Ivelisse Lashes Out at AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa

AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa has been off of television since the Dynamite before AEW All Out on September 4th. The disastrous media scrum that followed took all the attention away from the current odd situation regarding the champion of the women’s division.

Thunder Rosa announced that she was stepping away with injury before the PPV. Toni Storm won the AEW Interim Women’s Championship at All Out and has since taken a couple of shots at Thunder Rosa. Britt Baker has as well and the AEW Women’s Champion recently responded on Busted Open Radio. She claimed that she will be back in January and that Toni should go talk to the booker if she has an issue.

Ivelisse Lashes Out at Thunder Rosa

Ivelesse battled Thunder Rosa at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville on a September 2020 edition of Dynamite. The NWA Women’s Championship was on the line during the match. It was a debacle with real punches being thrown and professional wrestlers no-selling each other. Ivelisse took to Twitter to remind the fans of when the current AEW Women’s Champion threw a shoot punch at her during Dynamite.

“Never forget the moment this b decided to be a coward piece of sh and shoot punch me when she was supposed to block my shot + something else, and also the balls to pull my hair this way. She lucky I’m a pro and didn’t proceed to break her jaw.”

Former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker also recently took a shot at Thunder Rosa during the SwerveCity podcast with Swerve Strickland. You can check that out in the link below.
