MJF Warned Jon Moxley

MJF joined the Pardon My Take podcast on Barstool Sports and a segment from the podcast aired on Dynamite. Maxwell said this will be one of the most important matches of all-time. He listed off several generational talents and stated that all he has to do is have a long title reign to join them.

Maxwell said he respects that Jon Moxley because he was not born to be a champion, he wasn’t born with an athletic bone in his body. MJF complimented Moxley for putting in the work to become the best wrestler on the planet. MJF said he’s the guy who can do movies, TV shows, commercials, and talk shows, and wave the flag of AEW and professional wrestling.

Friedman said he is sick of waiting his turn and brought up Cody’s neck tattoo taking away the spotlight. Friedman closed the promo by saying “come Full Gear, the devil gets his due.”

Ethan Page Advanced in the World Title Eliminator Tournament

Ethan Page squared off against Eddie Kingston in the first round of the World Title Eliminator tournament. Stokely Hathaway and Ortiz were ringside for the match and Ethan dominated the match early as Dynamite went to a break.

Wardlow defended the TNT Championship against Ari Daivari tonight on Dynamite. He absolutely dominated and hit the Powerbomb Symphony for the pinfall victory. After the match, Wardlow grabbed the microphone and called out Powerhouse Hobbs.

Wardlow said the TNT Championship will always be his and vowed to take every title in the company. ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe looked at his title and then attacked Wardlow from behind. The camera shot was very obvious that this was going to happen, but AEW still somehow managed to cut away right when Joe attacked him.

Saraya will Battle Britt Baker at AEW Full Gear

Saraya announced that she is 100% cleared to wrestle and the crowd erupted. Baker said she built AEW from the ground up that “superstars” like Saraya wanted to move into. Britt stated that she is proud of that but that pride turns into resentment when Saraya claims it is “her house”.

Britt claimed that Saraya is obsessed with her because she is everything she wished she could be. The DMD added that Saraya left her house and walked into AEW, and they don’t take walk-ins so make an appointment.

Saraya shouted that Britt doesn’t even know what it takes a star, let alone a superstar. She added that Baker has only been in front of the camera for three years while she has done it for 17. Saraya challenged Britt Baker to a match at AEW Full Gear on November 19th. Baker went for an attack but Saraya was ready for it Saraya hit the Rampaige (or whatever the move will be called now in AEW).

Jeff added that Sonjay has an IQ of 180. Jeff demanded that the camera man do a slow pan on Satnam Singh and took a shot at Braun Strowman by saying Singh is a real monster, not only that wears red skinny jeans. A member of AEW production tried to count Jeff down and he threatened to hit him with his guitar to end the segment.

Jon Moxley Sent a Message to MJF

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley came to the ring with William Regal tonight for a promo. Moxley noted Regal that beat the hell out of him early in his career and drove him to work harder. Jon added that he got his revenge on Regal when they met again.

Moxley brought up his opponent at AEW Full Gear, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Jon noted that he wrestled MJF a couple of years ago and beat the hell out of him to let him know where he stood in the pecking order.

Jon wondered what is going to be different this time and claimed that he is having an identity crisis at the moment. Moxley joked that MJF wore clothes his mom bought for him at JC Penny and talks the talk.

He noted how MJF calls himself a pillar, yet doesn’t know what it is like to have any weight on his back. Jon stated that MJF is not the devil at all. When Dynamite returned, Guevara hit the GTH for a pinfall. Danielson tried to battle back and went for a Flying Headbutt but Geuvara dodged it. Sammy applied a Crossface in the middle of the ring. Danielson escaped and AEW went to the final commercial break of the show with the falls tied at 1-1.

Austin Theory Breaks Silence after Failed MITB Cash-In on WWE RAW

Austin Theory had an eventful night last night on WWE RAW. The 25-year-old superstar defeated Shelton Benjamin in a singles match on the show, a rare victory for Theory since winning the Money in the Bank ladder match in July.

Theory was added by WWE Official Adam Pearce as a surprise entrant in the ladder match and went on to win it. Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon had numerous backstage segments with Austin as a way to put his stamp of approval on the up and coming star.

However, things change fast in the wrestling business and Austin Theory has to start over. Vince McMahon resigned in late July and was Theory’s biggest supporter. The 77-year-old introduced Austin as a future WWE Champion at WrestleMania and Theory certainly has some work to do for that to come to fruition.

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship last night on RAW. Bobby Lashley beat Mustafa Ali down backstage to prevent him from accepting it and made his way to the ring. The All Mighty opted to attack Seth and put him through the announce table rather than fight for the title.

Austin Theory seized the opportunity to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on the United States Championship. He connected with the A-Town Down on Rollins and went for the cover but Lashley dragged the referee out of the ring. Bobby got the challenger in the Hurt Lock and Rollins capitalized with the Stomp for the pinfall victory.

Theory Speaks After Failed Cash-In

Austin Theory took to Twitter following his shocking defeat on last night’s WWE RAW and delivered a message to fans. He vowed to never stop and included a rocket ship emoji to the tweet. The post also had a video of highlights of his main roster career thus far.

3 Reasons Austin Theory Losing His MITB Cash-In was the Right Call

Austin Theory’s night on WWE RAW started off great with a singles victory over Shelton Benjamin. However, Theory would join the unfortunate list of superstars with failed Money in the Bank cash-ins at the conclusion of the show.

Seth Rollins had issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship before the show. It appeared that Finn Balor was going to accept it but The OC interrupted. Mia Yim made her return to the company and joined The OC’s fight against Judgment Day.

The Visionary came to the ring at the end of RAW and issued the Open Challenge once again. Mustafa Ali showed up on the jumbotron to and a collective groan could be heard from the crowd. Bobby Lashley attacked Ali and accepted the Open Challenge.

However, the match never happened because Bobby opted to put Rollins through the announce table before the bell. Austin Theory took the opportunity to cash-in his MITB contract on the United States Championship, a mid-card title he’s already held, and it backfired. The 25-year-old hit the A-Town Down but Lashley dragged the referee out of the ring. Lashley attacked Theory and got him in the Hurt Lock. Seth capitalized and hit Theory with the Stomp to retain the title.

Here are three reasons Austin Theory’s failed Money in the Bank cash-in was the right call:

#3. The Crowd Didn’t React to Him

Austin Theory is a tremendous in-ring talent and has a bright future in WWE. However, he will need to find a way to connect with the crowd moving forward. The selfie gimmick has already been done and in a more entertaining fashion by Tyler Breeze.

Theory has one of the best Dropkicks I’ve ever seen but I can’t remember a word he’s said in a promo. The most memorable moment for Austin Theory on the main roster thus far is not his conversations with Vince McMahon, nor his “surprise” Money in the Bank win, it was when Roman Reigns mocked him. The worst reaction a wrestler can get from the crowd is indifference and far too often that was the case for Theory.

#2. He Never Should Have Won it in the First Place

WWE Money in the Bank 2022 took place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. It was originally supposed to emanate from Allegiant Stadium but not enough tickets were sold to the event.

The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match closed the show and it ended on a sour note. Omos, Riddle, Seth Rollins, Madcap Moss, Sheamus, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre were scheduled to compete in the main event.

However, WWE Official Adam Pearce showed up just before the bell rang and announced that Theory was added as the 8th superstar in the match. Theory had been having conversations with Vince McMahon and fans knew that the 25-year-old was about to be given a moment he hadn’t quite earned yet.

It appeared that Vince McMahon has picked his favorite and was about to shove him down the WWE Universe’s throat once again. However, everything changed on July 22nd. His biggest supporter, Vince McMahon, resigned on Twitter and it has been downhill ever since.

#1. He’s Not Triple H’s Guy

Vince McMahon saw a lot in Austin Theory and was positioning the young superstar to be the future of the company. That still may happen down the line, but Triple H clearly isn’t as high on Theory as the former CEO.

The wins have been few and far between for Theory since the regime change in WWE. Vince appeared to be building towards a potential matchup down the line between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Austin Theory and that doesn’t appear to be on Triple H’s radar at all.

Unfortunately for Austin Theory, the Money in the Bank briefcase quickly became a hindrance. This has become a bit of a trend for WWE, at least with the previous regime. Otis won the MITB contract recently and then lost the briefcase in a “court battle” with The Miz with JBL serving as the judge.

Theory is far more talented than Otis, but who gets more of a reaction? Austin wasn’t ready to win the Money in the Bank contract and was forced into that situation by a CEO that had long since lost his fastball. The product has greatly improved since The Game has gained power and things will likely improve for Theory down the line as well. It is not the end of the line for the 25-year-old, just a much-needed reset.

Do you think Austin Theory should have lost his Money in the Bank cash-in? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

What WWE Originally Planned for Bret Hart’s Return after Montreal Screwjob

Former WWE writer Court Bauer recently discussed plans for Bret Hart’s comeback in WWE following the Montreal Screwjob.

Bret Hart battled Shawn Michaels at WWE Survivor Series 1997 with the title on the line. During the match, the Heartbreak Kid got Hart in the Sharpshooter and the bell rang even though the Hitman didn’t tap out. The incident will forever be remembered in wrestling history, as Bret spit in Vince’s face and flipped out after the match.

Speaking on The Insiders podcast, Bauer said the original idea for Bret’s comeback was for a big tag team match between the Hart Foundation and the McMahons, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and his students. at WrestleMania 22.

Well, the original version was supposed to kind of, sort of, got off the ground in WWE in 2006, or seven. Bret was back in the orbit of WWE after coming to terms with Vince and doing the DVD and at one point was going to be Bret versus Vince at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago, and then Bret was a little uneasy about doing that. They eventually did it much differently a few years later.

The original idea was gonna be the Harts and the Hart Foundation versus the WWE, Vince, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Shane, Shawn’s students at the time. The idea would be you know, you have Paul London.

You had Brian Kendrick, and then they were gonna sign Bryan Danielson. So you had like all these interesting ways against the Hart Foundation, which would have been Bret, Neidhart, and a new generation, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Nattie, Teddy and so on.

So we started the process and I got Harry Smith, Davey Boy Smith Jr. signed, Nattie and TJ, Tyson Kid and Teddy. I remember Vince looking at me saying. ‘You know, self-masturbatory gimmick.’ It was like a warning, like this is on you when this goes south. I’m like okay. Now truth be told Teddy outlasted me in WWE.

I left the summer of 2007 and he stayed around for a little bit more. So I don’t know how that ended up going, but clearly he didn’t end up on air and the other guys did. Nattie is still there doing great things, Tyson is contributing behind the scenes, and Harry’s had his tours of duty there since, so it was interesting what could have been with that. I think Jericho at some point was figured into the Hart story too, I think. I don’t remember the details off the top of my head.”

WWE legend and current AEW commentator Jim Ross recently revealed on his podcast that he didn’t speak with Bret Hart for years following the Montreal Screwjob despite having nothing to do with it. You can check that out in the link below.

WWE Announces First WarGames Match for Survivor Series

WWE has announced the first WarGames match for the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event on November 26th at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss made their way to the ring during this week’s edition of RAW. Belair defeated Bayley of Damage CTRL in a Last Woman Standing match at Crown Jewel this past Saturday.

Bliss and Asuka lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships back to Damage CTRL at the premium live event a handful of days after winning them in the main event of the Halloween edition of Raw last week.

The EST called out Damage CTRL and said that their rivalry is far from over. Damage CTRL came to the entrance ramp and Dakota & IYO boasted about winning the titles at Crown Jewel. Alexa Bliss pointed out that Nikki Cross interfered in the match and that is the only reason they won on Saturday.

Asuka and IYO SKY then had a shouting match in the ring. The Empress of Tomorrow shouted WarGames and a brawl broke out. Nikki Cross joined Damage CTRL for the attack and seemingly is now a part of the group. Cross attacked both Bayley and Bianca Belair in a non-title match a couple of weeks ago on Raw but all is forgiven in times of war.

Damage CTRL was later ringside for Nikki Cross’ match against Dana Brooke for the 24/7 Championship. Nikki defeated Dana to win the title, only to throw it in the trash a few minutes later backstage.

WWE made the match official during official on social media and released a graphic for the match. Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross will need to add one more female superstar to their team before November 26th.

Bianca, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss are tasked with finding two teammates before Survivor Series: WarGames.

Bobby Lashley Sends Warning to WWE Raw Locker Room: “I’m Going to Have Fun Kicking Everybody’s A**”

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship tonight a couple of times on WWE Raw.

Finn Balor was about to accept the Open Challenge the first time but The OC interrupted. Mia Yim made her return to align with The OC and brawled with Rhea Ripley. Styles, Gallows, Anderson, and Yim sent the Judgment Day on the retreat as Rollins escaped backstage.

Rollins vowed to still have the Open Challenge and made his way to the ring towards the end of the show. Seth cut a promo first and announced that this month marks ten years with the company. Mustafa Ali showed up on the jumbotron and said he was going to accept the challenge.

Bobby Lashley attacked Ali from behind and accepted the challenge because Rollins was the one who cost him the US Title in the first place. Lashley opted to beat the hell out of Rollins before the bell rang. Austin Theory attempted to cash in his MITB contract on the US Title but Lashley dragged the referee out of the ring. Rollins capitalized on the madness and hit the Stomp to retain the United States Championship.

Bobby Lashley Sends Warning to Seth Rollins & WWE RAW Locker Room

The All Mighty Bobby Lashley was interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton following RAW in a WWE Digital Exclusive. Saxton asked Bobby to provide an explanation for his actions tonight and Lashley stated

I don’t care about any of this stuff because at the end of the day my title was stolen from me.

From now until I get it back, I am kicking everybody’s ass that stands in my way. I could care less.

I’m not about winning matches right now. I’m just about hurting people and making people pay for what they did to me.

Because when it happened to me, everybody was out there cheering right?

When Seth came in after Brock (attacked him) and jumped on me, he came in and took my title from me, and everybody was cool with that.

But now that I go out there and do what I have to do in order to be right back on top, now people have a problem with it. You know what? I could care less.

I’m going to have fun kicking everybody’s ass until I get my title back.

Mia Yim after WWE Return on Raw: “I’m Ready to get My Retribution”

Mia Yim made her shocking return to WWE tonight on RAW. She was released from the company on November 4th last year and spent some time in Impact wrestling before her return tonight.

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship on this week’s edition of the red brand. The Judgment Day’s music hit and the group surrounded Seth Rollins outside the ring. Finn Balor was about to accept the match when The OC interrupted.

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson showed made their way to the ring as Seth Rollins escaped backstage. A brawl broke out and Mia Yim showed up as The OC’s answer for Rhea Ripley. The OC beat Judgment Day down and the heels retreated to end the segment.

Mia Yim Comments on Her Return to WWE

After WWE RAW went off the air, Cathy Kelley caught up with Mia Yim backstage for a WWE Digital Exclusive interview.

The 33-year-old member said that it took her a year to try and find herself but now she’s ready to get her “retribution”. Mia Yim had a brief stint as “Reckoning” in the now disbanded RETRIBUTION faction in WWE.

Oh my gosh, it feels so good to be back. It took me a year to try and find myself but now I’m ready. I’m ready to go. I’m ready to kick some ass and get my retribution. But the boys are waiting on me so I’ll see ya later.

Watch: Nikki Cross Throws Title in the Trash on WWE Raw

The November 7th edition of WWE RAW is in the books and what an eventful show it was.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring fresh off her victory over Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel. She was accompanied by former Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Asuka.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss captured the Women’s Tag Team Champions on last week’s RAW but lost them back to Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL at the premium live event on Saturday. The trio called out Damage CTRL and suggested a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Nikki Cross attacked from behind and a brawl broke out.

Bianca, Asuka, and Alexa have to find two partners before Survivor Series: WarGames on November 26th. Damage CTRL will add one more superstar before the match.

Nikki Cross Wins 24/7 Title & Throws It Away

Later on RAW, Damage CTRL spoke to Nikki backstage and wanted her on their WarGames team. Bayley added that Nikki doesn’t have to wait until Survivor Series, she can get her aggression out tonight against Dana Brooke.

Nikki cackled and made her way to the ring. She proceeded to demolish Dana Brooke as Bayley watched on from commentary. Cross hit a Swinging Neckbreaker and pinned Dana Brooke to win the 24/7 Championship.

After the match, Bayley draped the title on Nikki’s shoulders as she walked backstage with a crazed look in her eyes. Nikki then thew the title away in a trash can (or at least attempted to) and kept walking with Damage CTRL behind her.

The Miz def. Johnny Gargano, Dexter Lumis Attacked

The Miz squared off against Johnny Gargano on this week’s edition of RAW. Last week, Johnny claimed that The Miz hired Dexter Lumis to be his celebrity stalker.

The Miz cut a promo before the match and claimed that Johnny’s accusations are false and a blatant smear job. Miz said that his own father believes Gargano and the only silver lining is that he has been meeting with producers in Hollywood to tell his true story.

Johnny brought a whistle and blew it on him self. Gargano said the public didn’t shame The Miz enough so he realized he needed stronger evidence against him. Gargano claimed that the “Hollywood producer” that Miz had dinner with was a private investigator wearing a camera.

Gargano rolled footage of The Miz admitting that everything Johnny Gargano is saying is true. Johnny fast-forwarded and Miz added that everything went perfectly until he stopped paying Dexter Lumis for being too crazy.

The Miz and Johnny Gargano battled to begin the final hour of the show. Gargano hit a Dropkick and knocked Miz out of the ring. Johnny followed it up with a Cannonball and high-fived some fans.

Back in the ring, Gargano hit another Dropkick and taunted Miz in the ring. Johnny booted Miz’s hand but Miz responded with a kick to the face. Miz controlled the next few minutes of the match before Johnny battled back as the crowd got behind him.

Miz hit a Clothesline and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Gargano countered with an Atomic Drop and then a kick to the head. Johnny hit a Neckbreaker and went for the cover but Miz kicked out at two. Johnny went for the Gargano Escape but Miz got out of it. Gargano hit a Superkick and Miz fell to the floor. The Miz launched Gargano over the barricade as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Gargano hit the Slingshot Spear but Miz kicked out at two. Miz chopped Gargano in the throat and followed it up with a DDT for a near fall. Gargano hit a Dropkick to knock The Miz to the outside. Dexter Lumis dragged Miz under the ring and he emerged with a weapon. He told the referee to check under the ring and bashed Gargano over the head with it while the ref was distracted. The Miz then covered Gargano for the win. After the match, Dexter attacked The Miz from behind and was chased away by security.

Sami Zayn Reacts to Praise from an Unlikely WWE Legend: “My…Dawg?”

Sami Zayn has become incredibly popular with WWE fans as the Honorary Uce of The Bloodline and even folks that were critical of him in the past have started to notice.

He spent months trying to earn the respect of the Tribal Chief and finally achieved it. Jey Uso has become jealous of Sami’s inclusion in The Bloodline and there is an underlying tension between the two superstars.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns instructed Sami and Jey to work out their differences on a recent episode of SmackDown. The Honorary Uce wanted a truce but Jey said he’s not a part of The Bloodline because he isn’t blood.

Zayn noted that the Tribal Chief told them to work this out and Jey shouted that he didn’t give a damn what Reigns had to say. Jey calmed things down by suggesting that Jey simply hasn’t been feeling very “Ucey” lately.

Roman and Jey broke character and started laughing in the ring as the crowd chanted “Ucey!”. Reigns warned Jey that he’s going to rename the Honorary Uce as Sami Uso if he doesn’t get his head straight.

Sami Zayn Reacts to Praise from Jim Cornette

The Honorary Uce has received praise from the unlikeliest of sources. Wrestling legend Jim Cornette recently praised Sami Zayn on his podcast and said that he might just be his favorite wrestler on television at the moment.

Oh, I’ve been feeling Ucey. Let me tell you something. I never thought that I would say this. But I think now Sami Zayn is my favorite person to watch on television. El Generico certainly wasn’t but Sami Zayn is incredible.

Wrestling News tweeted out Jim Cornette’s quote and Sami reacted by simply saying “my…dawg?”.

Jim Cornette has been critical of Sami in the past for his time working with him in Ring of Honor. You can check out Cornette’s review of the “Ucey” promo below.

Nick Aldis Announces He is Leaving NWA

Former NWA Champion Nick Aldis announced that he is leaving the National Wrestling Alliance.

Aldis made the announcement earlier in a video that was supposed to only be for his Instagram subscribers. He has since deleted the video but in it he revealed that he gave his notice and cited a breakdown in his relationship with Billy Corgan as the reason.

Nick Aldis recently followed up with a post and said that he will be a free agent on January 1st. Aldis added that he will provide more details on the decision once he figures out how to do videos only for his subscribers on Instagram.

I released that video earlier but it was supposed to be for subscribers only. Wtf… anyway as you may have seen I gave my notice to the NWA. I’ll be a free agent on January 1st. Once I figure out how to do videos for subscribers only I’ll be back with more insight on the decision, conversations with Mickie and my agent and more…

Love you all.

Watch: Sasha Banks Back Training in the Ring

Sasha Banks is back in the ring and training for an eventual return to WWE television. The Boss has been training with none other than Juvented Guerrera, who tweeted out a video of Banks shaking off her ring rust.

Guerrera wrote, ”A super star always keeps training!” and said Banks is a ”real professional woman” who deserves the best.

He also provided some inspirational words that apply to anybody in any walk of life:

Always looking for the best ,never stop dreamming, never surrender. You deserve the best !

Sasha Banks’ Road Back to WWE

The Boss was reportedly spotted backstage at WWE Live Event in Mexico. According to Superluchas, Mexican wrestler Mamba served as a “tour guide” for Sasha and Bayley last weekend.

Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE during the May 16th episode of RAW. The former Women’s Tag Team Champions were scheduled to battle each other as part of a Six-Pack Challenge in the main event. WWE was reportedly considering having the tag champs enter into singles programs for the Hell in a Cell premium live event.

Banks and Naomi walked into former EVP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office and left the titles on his desk before exiting the arena. Michael Cole delivered the news that Sasha and Naomi were suspended for their “unprofessional” actions a few days later on SmackDown.

Sasha and Naomi have not been seen on WWE since walking out of RAW but The Boss recently posted a cryptic video claiming that “something crazy” is going to happen soon. Fans were hoping to see Sasha and Naomi at Crown Jewel but that wasn’t the case. However, WWE did add the two superstars back to the signature intro at the premium live event.

Former WWE Writer Says Bryan Danielson is “Under-Serviced” in AEW

Bryan Danielson debuted in All Elite Wrestling last year at AEW All Out and most fans thought he’d have a title run with the company by now.

Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. hasn’t been a fan of Danielson’s run in All Elite Wrestling and shared his opinion on the Wrestling with Freddie podcast. Freddie stated that Danielson has lost more matches than he has needed to lose and has been under-serviced as far as character development.

Bryan Danielson has been under-serviced as far as character development and story goes. I feel like he has been under-serviced in his matches.

I feel like he’s lost more matches than he’s needed to lose. I feel like his motivation for wrestling hasn’t been written as well as it could be written.

It’s become a part of his backstage interviews, where there is a little bit of people questioning his motivation and not his toughness, so to speak, but just his reasoning and rational, and this son-of-a-bitch has had enough.

H/T: Wrestling Inc

Danielson debuted at All Out 2021 after Kenny Omega defeated Christian Cage in the main event to retain the AEW World Championship. Adam Cole had made his debut minutes earlier and aligned with Kenny Omega and The Elite.

Danielson went on to have feuds with Kenny Omega and Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship but came up just short. Bryan also reached the finals of the Tournament of Champions this year at Dynamite: Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

He battled his stablemate in the Blackpool Combat Club for the vacant AEW World Championship in the finals but once again came up on the losing end of a title match. Danielson remained persistent and challenged Chris Jericho for the ROH Championship on Dynamite then AEW visited Toronto on October 12th.

Once again, it wasn’t meant to be for Danielson and he lost another title match. Danielson and Jericho were in a war over Daniel Garcia and whether he was a sports entertainer or a wrestler.

Daniel Garcia ultimately decided he was a sports entertainer, betrayed Danielson and re-joined the Jericho Appreciation Society. Jericho will defend the ROH Championship against Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Sammy Guevara in a 4-Way match at AEW Full Gear on November 19th.
