Alexa Bliss Reveals If She Ever Had Plastic Surgery

Alexa Bliss recently cleared the air around any rumors of her getting plastic surgery done, at least on her face.

Bliss posted a throwback photo on her Twitter account showing how her smile hasn’t changed since she was a kid, to which a fan replied suggesting that she had plastic surgery work done: “didn’t have plastic surgeries then”. Bliss snapped back with the following comeback: “The only plastic surgery I’ve had is my boobs… 4x lol #JustBeingHonest”.

Bliss has never hidden the fact that she has had breast implants and openly discusses them on social media when asked by fans.

Bliss has suffered from physical and emotional issues due to her past eating disorders. In the WWE 365 episode featuring her, Bliss talked about this topic. She noted that she got implant surgery done on her at the age of 17 to help her feel more womanly, which helped her cope with self-image issues.

Bliss got to a point where she weighed only 85 pounds due to her eating disorder. Her condition got to the state where she would have died if she hadn’t been admitted in a hospital. Bliss has also said that she doesn’t regret getting implants as they helped her get over her eating disorder and body image issues, and this decision was supported by her doctors.

The Rock’s Netflix Film Pauses Production Owing To Coronavirus

The Rock’s Netflix feature Red Notice has paused production for two weeks due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. The heist film has a star-studded cast of Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds who have been filming since late January. Just like many other ongoing film and TV projects, as well as wrestling events, Red Notice has halted all production to ensure the safety of cast and crew members.

The announcement of Red Notice‘s suspension was made in a video shared by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on his Instagram on Saturday. The Rock, who is also the producer of the film via his Seven Bucks Productions banner, shared the following in writing:

“We are pressing pause on our @netflix production of RED NOTICE effective this Monday for the next two weeks. It’s my privilege to speak eye to eye with our entire crew to help give a little clarity and guidance, as the most important thing right now is for us to get everyone home to their concerned families. […] We’ll continue to monitor and assess this situation closely to make the best decisions for our families first and then our businesses.

“We’re a resilient nation who ultimately, will always rise to the occasion to be accountable and work together to overcome whatever hardship lies in front of us. Our country will do its job, as the rest of the world will do theirs. Everyone please stay healthy, vigilant, safe and let’s protect one another. We’re all in this – together,” The Rock wrote.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Netflix will continue to pay the cast and crew while Red Notice‘s production is on hold.

Red Notice is about an Interpol agent who tracks the world’s most wanted art thief. The film is expected to release on the streaming platform in 2021, and it’s unclear if this halt will have a major impact on the release.

Jim Ross Reveals Reason Behind Eddie Guerrero’s Push In WWE

Jim Ross has explained the reason behind Eddie Guerrero’s push in the WWE and why Vince McMahon loved him.

During a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross was asked the reason behind Eddie Guerrero’s push by WWE, even though the company preferred to push larger guys at the time.

Jim Ross explained that Eddie Guerrero’s allure was in the fact that he had a lot of charisma and he could work with anyone in the ring. These qualities made the Latino Heat a valuable asset in Vince McMahon’s eyes.

“The fact that Eddie could work with anybody. He could work with a bigger babyface and make it real. He could work with a bigger heel and make it even more real,” Jim Ross said on the podcast.

Jim Ross also said that if one was to poll the locker room about their opinion on who the best workers were, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit would come out on top.

Ross added that Guerrero wanted to get out of the “cruiserweight” mold.

“They were fresh, Eddie was hungry. He didn’t want to be called a cruiserweight or a midget or whatever. I think it’s consistency and the fact that everybody wanted to work with him.”

Jim Ross revealed that wrestlers used to go to Vince and tell him that if given the chance, they would like to work with Guerrero. The chairman realized that there was something in Guerrero that everyone wanted to wrestle with him.

Jim Ross described Guerrero beating Brock Lesnar in the Cow Palace as a very emotional moment for everyone, to see their colleague succeed.

“It was emotional as hell. I cried, a lot of guys cried. For him, it was a realization of a life long dream to be the top guy in the biggest company.”

Jim Ross also added that he is happy that Guerrero was able to experience being the top guy in the company before he passed. It was a life long dream for him, and JR believes that the Latino Heat would have been very happy to finally achieve that dream.

The company has said that they are waiting on word on the March Breakdown event set to be held the next day in Belleville, Michigan.

    About Impact Lockdown

This Impact Lockdown event would have been the company’s first since four years. The steel cage-focused show was last held in 2014.

There have been 12 Lockdown events in Impact/TNA history. Along with Slammiversary and Bound for Glory, the event was at one point a staple of Impact’s PPV schedule. The last time the event was held was in 2016. The main event of that show was Matt Hardy taking on Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Impact/TNA has also used a War Games-style match at these events in the past. While only one ring is used for Lethal Lockdown matches, two teams face each other and wrestlers from each team enter the match at staggered intervals. 16 of these matches have taken place at Lockdown events over the years.

Mojo Rawley Says SmackDown’s Backstage Was Like A “Ghost Town”

Mojo Rawley says that the empty arena SmackDown episode that aired this week was an insane event. It was certainly a surreal episode of the show and Rawley provided some details about how the situation was backstage at the arena.

Rawley appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio show to discuss his friend Rob Gronkowski joining the WWE. While there, he also talked about the state of affairs from the historic SmackDown episode from the WWE Performance Center’s empty makeshift arena.

Mojo Rawley first started off by saying that he is always around at the Performance Center in Orlando because that is where he lives. He went for a vacation in the Bahamas, and when he landed there he got a text from WWE asking him if he can make it to SmackDown the next day. Rawley described his reaction to the text as, “I looked around at the beach and said… I’ll be right back.”

Mojo Rawley detailed the backstage situation at SmackDown, saying, “It was insane. [But] I was pretty excited about it. You know, being at the Performance Center having a show with no fanfare. I mean that’s what we do, what WWE is about [reacting to fans]. That’s how we gauge all of our matches. [I was] curious and intrigued to see what it was gonna be like. Not only that, like I said I’m there training every day.”

The Performance Center building in Orlando, Florida was transformed according to Mojo Rawley. He elaborated further, saying that the backstage is usually bustling with staff and other workers but this time it was like a “ghost town.”

“I just wanted to see how they would transform the building and you know what rooms are gonna be the locker rooms and where the catering was gonna be. In the meeting rooms!? It was wild, man. There was really no people in there, I mean when Smackdown started Friday, Mojo Rawley said. “I think at any given point you could be maybe see one other person in whatever room you’re in. Because the Performance Center is huge and we didn’t have that many guys on the show yesterday. So it’s like a ghost town back there, I was wondering where people kept popping out of to go into gorilla for segments.”

Kazuchika Okada Is “Modern-Day Ric Flair” According To Kenny Omega

Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega have been in the ring multiple times due to their rivalry in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Both of them have had some amazing matches together. Omega talked about his rivalry with Okada and said that he reminds him of Ric Flair.

The AEW Tag Team Champion said that The Nature Boy is widely agreed upon to be the best of all time, and the same goes for the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Okada who brings out the best in his opponents, a quality that Flair also had.

“A lot of wrestling historians and purists will go to bat and say that [Ric] Flair was the greatest of all time because he was so successful for a period of years. The same goes for [Kazuchika] Okada, who’s almost the modern-day Ric Flair. They have a very patterned main event style, but it’s very successful. They bring out the best in almost every opponent,” Omega told Bleacher Report.

Omega has had an upper hand with his matches against Kazuchika Okada. Before arriving in AEW, Omega had a match with The Rainmaker for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship that lasted for well over an hour. Omega won the match to become the champion.

Now in AEW, Omega successfully defended his AEW Tag Team Championship with his partner Hangman Page against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution.

  • Randy Orton vs Edge Match Will Reportedly Have Stipulation Added At WrestleMania

Randy Orton vs Edge Match Will Reportedly Have Stipulation Added At WrestleMania

Edge returned to WWE at Royal Rumble which was no one saw coming. After the Royal Rumble, Edge made his return after being nine years away from it.

But it was not all celebrations as Randy Orton brutally assaulted Edge on Raw a few weeks ago with a chair shot to the neck.

According to a report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning to have a match between Randy Orton and Edge at WrestleMania 35, and it will have a stipulation added to it.

Adding a stipulation to such an important match will make the match stand out more from the bunch of other matches on the WrestleMania card.

A traditional match would require Edge to take a lot of bumps, so maybe it’s WWE’s way of dealing with the situation by adding a stipulation that lets Edge work a longer match without risking his body too much.

Edge’s last match at WrestleMania XXVII was against Alberto Del Rio, where he successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship.

At WrestleMania 36, Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. The Universal Championship will also be on the line with new champ Goldberg defending it against Roman Reigns.

Charlotte Flair will try to take on the NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, while The Fiend will go one-on-one against John Cena. Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against whoever wins the women’s Elimination Chamber. It could be any one of these women: Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Ruby Riott, Natalya, Liv Morgan, or Sarah Logan.

WrestleMania 36 will emanate from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5, 2020.

Jon Moxley: Young Talent In AEW Don’t Know How Good They Have It

Jon Moxley is the top star of All Elite Wrestling, joining the company after working for WWE for almost a decade. As Dean Ambrose, he was also at the top of the game in WWE too and achieved a lot of success.

Moxley has been very vocal about the creative process in WWE and how much frustrated he was with the company regarding this. Especially in the final years of his WWE tenure, Moxley was done with the company’s system and wanted to get out.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Jon Moxley talked about the creative freedom AEW offers its wrestlers. There’s no bookers or writers writing scripts, everyone is allowed to be themselves which means the characters feel more genuine.

“Best thing about AEW is that guys are just allowed to be themselves. You know I don’t have anybody writing scripts for me. I don’t have anybody putting words in my mouth. I don’t have to wonder what my motivations are or be confused about – ‘what are we even doing here? This doesn’t make any sense.’ It’s whatever I want it to be,” said Moxley.

Chris Jericho: Creative Freedom Biggest Difference Between WWE & AEW

Moxley says that young talent who started wrestling in AEW have no idea how good they have it in the company. He enjoys the fact that others are able to go out and do the same thing as him, be themselves and love what they’re doing. Moxley likens it to being a free wild animal, as opposed to being one put in a cage.

“It’s great for me to watch these young guys especially, that don’t even understand how good they have it. Don’t even understand the opportunity that they have, because they’ve never been put in a cage or put in a box. They’ve only been free wild animals. They don’t even know about captivity yet,” Moxley said.

  • Chris Jericho: Creative Freedom Biggest Difference Between WWE & AEW

Chris Jericho: Creative Freedom Biggest Difference Between WWE & AEW

Chris Jericho, who is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution, talked about the difference between working in WWE and AEW.

Jericho talked with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated and discussed a variety of topics, among which the subject of difference working between the two wrestling companies came up.

Jericho said that if he’d be in WWE he would still be doing “The List!” gimmick, even though it’s “archaic and outdated”. Jericho said that since he left WWE he has reinvented himself and tried out different things like the Painmaker, his work in Japan and now in AEW.

Jericho revealed that there are no bookers and writers in AEW as opposed to WWE. “There’s no bookers, no writers. I’m coming up with these ideas and bouncing them off of a couple guys. These are all our ideas,” Jericho said.

Jericho noted that he’s not the only one involved in the process. He can lay down the groundwork and a basic idea for the storyline, and the rest of it goes from there. Jericho added that this way of working is something new for him.

“Also, it’s not like I’m coming up with every single thing. But the basic skeletons, like, ‘Here’s what I’ve got for the first six weeks for Jericho-Moxley.’ Then each week we tighten it up and focus it. I’ve never been in that position before.”

While working for WWE, Chris Jericho’s process involved getting a phone call Sunday night from a writer who would tell him the plan for the next day’s Raw. Jericho said that he would do as directed if he liked the idea, but if he didn’t, then he would have to wait three hours outside Vince McMahon’s office to explain to him why it would work better in a different way. “We don’t have that. All that stress is gone. It’s fun, it’s creative freedom,” said Jericho.

Jericho said that he loved working in WWE, and anyone who signs a contract with them knows what they’re getting into. They’ll have to work in Vince’s way. Jericho didn’t want to work Vince’s way anymore and that’s why left.

  • Wrestle-1 Suspending Activities Indefinitely From April

Wrestle-1 Suspending Activities Indefinitely From April

Wrestle-1 made the announcement that it is going to go on an indefinite hiatus and suspend all activities after their April 1 event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The Japanese wrestling promotion made the announcement at a press conference by representative director Keji Mutoh aka The Great Mutah and president Kaz Hayashi.

All contracts of Wrestle-1 talent will be terminated, the company announced. The contracts will be terminated the day before the April 1 show, making the entire roster free agents.

Here is a translation of the company’s statement:

“We would like to report that the professional wrestling organization “WRESTLE-1” will suspend its activities indefinitely at the end of the Korakuen Hall Games in Tokyo on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Thank you to all the fans who supported us, the people who supported the organization and the players, and all the concerned parties. Sorry for the sudden report.

Due to the suspension of activities, all Wrestle One players will be released on March 31, 2020 (Tuesday).

Both players and staff are willing to run with all their strength until the end.

Thank you for your continued support.”

The reason behind the closure of Wrestle-1 is the fact that it was not profitable. There’s also a professional wrestling training academy by Great Muta which was established back in 2016. Popular female wrestlers like Hana Kimura and Reika Saiki were the first-year students at this academy. It has been announced that the academy will also be closed indefinitely.

Wrestle-1 has been around since 2013 and was created by The Great Muta. The early days of the promotion managed to draw in large crowds while having stars like Sanada, Shuji Kondo, and Kaz Hayashi under its belt. The company also had a partnership with Impact Wrestling. However, Sanada and other popular stars started leaving and the company spiraled down into obscurity soon enough.

  • Southpaw Regional Wrestling Returning For Third Season

Southpaw Regional Wrestling Returning For Third Season

Southpaw Regional Wrestling, the much beloved fictional wrestling web series from WWE is going to make its return with a third season. WWE announced on February 29, 2020, that the show is going to return and is set to take place in the summer of 1994.

WWE has released teasers for the upcoming season. In one of the teasers, we see Lance Catamaran (played by John Cena) calling Chett Chetterfield (Fandango), who was seemingly out cold after a long night drinking. He tells Chett that production has been waiting three weeks for him to show up and that it’s time to get the band back together. Chett stumbles his way through out of the bed as we see “Southpaw Regional Wrestling” on the screen, followed with “Coming Summer ’94”.

It’s interesting to note that the first season of the show is set in 1987 and the second season goes a year back to 1986. The upcoming third season takes a leap straight to 1994, and one could expect a lot of changes in Southpaw Regional Wrestling after eight years.

The sketch comedy series about the fictional 1980’s professional wrestling premiered in 2017 and was an instant hit. The show features characters such as Lance Catamaran, Chett Chetterfield, Tex Ferguson, Chad 2 Badd, Clint Bobski, Big Bartholomew and more. New characters were added last season so we can expect to see some more additions to the cast in third season too.

A few weeks ago, WWE added a Southpaw DLC to WWE 2K20, which included new characters not seen in the past two seasons of the show. These characters are Misfit Molly (Becky Lynch), Goergia Washington (Charlotte Flair), Bay Lee Billionaire (Bayley) and Glam Rocker (Johnny Gargano).

Joey Janela On How Match With Kenny Omega Came To Be

Joey Janela had a match with Kenny Omega on AEW Dark which received positive reception from fans. The match took place on the 10/15 episode of Dark and while Omega came out the victor, Janela still received a lot of praise for his performance. He would then have another match with Omega but this time on Dynamite’s 4th episode. This match got a great response from fans and is considered one of the best early AEW matches.

Janela talked about this match while appearing for an interview with The Wrestling Inc Daily, where he spoke about the match with Omega on Dynamite and revealed how important it is to him.

Janela said that the match was a big deal for him and that it was almost not going to take place.

“It was great. I just wanted to show everyone that I could go. That match almost didn’t happen so for them to let it happen was a big deal for me. Some of my friends from home came up to watch it so maybe my career peaked at that point. “ joked Janela.

Janela also revealed that the match was originally supposed to be against Jack Evans instead of Kenny Omega.

“Where the segment was – me and Jack Evans never wrestled on TV. That would have been his and my TV debut and they didn’t want to put us out there cold. I said, ‘Well, you advertised the match already.’ They said, ‘We’re just gonna put Jack in there with Kenny.’ I was depressed as I was just coming off the big match with Kenny the week before. I felt like things were going right and I really wanted to have that match with Jack Evans on TV. 15 years in the making – I needed that moment,” said Janela.

Janela added that Tony informed him about Jack wrestling with Omega, which got him really upset. But the match was changed later with Janela facing Omega and that’s how it came to be.

  • The Sandman Botches Match Finish And Drunkenly Rants At Indie Show, According To Promoter

The Sandman Botches Match Finish And Drunkenly Rants At Indie Show, According To Promoter

The Sandman went on a drunken rant after botching the finish of a match at Florida based promotion Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling’s (ARW) show on Friday, February 21, 2020. The promotion held a three-year anniversary show at the Space Coast Convention Center in Cocoa Florida.

The show featured a four-way match on the card between The Sandman, Shannon Moore, Chico Adams and Vertigo for the Atomic Next Level Championship. While the match was set to go for about 15 minutes, The Sandman ended the match in only 1 minute and went on a “drunken rant”. This is all according to the ARW, who released a statement and uploaded a video of the incident on their YouTube channel.

In the video, The Sandman deliberately doesn’t kick out from a pinfall attempt by Moore, 1 minute into the match. After the match, the “drunken rant” takes place. The Sandman calls the location “Orlando” despite the event taking place in Cocoa.

According to ARW, Sandman caused numerous problems backstage as well as “sexually harassing multiple female wrestlers and insulting and trash-talking most of the talent on the show which nearly lead to a backstage altercation.” ARW said that they would never work with The Sandman again.

Back in December 2019, IMPACT Knockouts Champion Jodynn Grace called out The Sandman for his sexist comments. According to Grace, he told her that it was “wrong” that women were headlining a wrestling event and that any male wrestler with experience would agree with him. Many prominent names from the industry including Chris Jericho and Will Ospreay expressed their disagreement with The Sandman’s views publicly. Grace wrote the following on Twitter in response to the current incident: “Dunno what to say except I told you so.”

Tanga Loa On Bullet Club Splitting from The Elite

Tanga Loa who is part of Bullet Club recently talked about The Elite’s departure from the stable in an interview.

Tanga Loa has seen the faction go through a lot of changes and transitions. A member for more than five years, the 6-time IWGP Tag Team Champion talked about the major change that happened in Bullet Club.

Subgroup The Elite – comprising of The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll and Hangman Page – officially left Bullet Club at the G1 Special in San Francisco in 2018.

The split was inevitable as The Elite had become separated from the identity of Bullet Club, according to Tanga Loa. He said that it had become necessary to establish what the faction meant to them and where they wanted it to go.

“One, I think you could see fans could see there was a real difference in the Bullet Club at that time, and Kenny [Omega] and The Bucks are amazing talents, and then Cody of course, was a part of Bullet Club at that time too. Marty [Scurll] was too, and I think when two of the members, the original members of Bullet Club feel like the club is not holding on to its roots, the tradition, that mindset of what started Bullet Club, I think they felt it necessary to pump the brakes and establish what it meant to be a part of Bullet Club, and San Francisco, I think was that point where we had to draw the line in the sand,” Tanga Loa told POST Wrestling.

After the departure of The Elite, Bullet Club is under the leadership of Jay White, who joined in October 2018. Tanga Loa has been with the faction since March 2016.

Bullet Club will be hosting Bullet Club Beach Party during WrestleMania 36 weekend in Tampa, Florida. The event is set to take place on April 4 at Whiskey Joe’s and many names from the pro wrestling world will be present. You can find more information about the event and ticketing here.

Naomi Talks About Dealing With Disrespect From Fans

Naomi has taken the brunt of criticism by fans many times in the past. The internet allows people to say whatever they want without repercussions, and people often forget that the person on the other side of the screen can read their hateful comments, and be affected by it.

Naomi is one of those WWE stars which gets a lot of racist and disrespectful comments online regularly from fans. Naomi talked about this negativity thrown at her way online while appearing on Women’s Wrestling Weekly.

Naomi said that the unfiltered negative comments are just part of the deal of being in the public eye, but the type of stuff she gets from people online is crazy. She expressed frustration over the fact that she is expected to sit back and not say anything about the hate thrown her way and take the high road. She feels that one can defend themselves and still not be disrespectful.

“That’s something on the regular that we deal with all the time, every day. It’s crazy the type of negativity I get,” revealed Naomi. “One of the things that bothered me is that people feel like they can say whatever they want, be as disrespectful as they want; and talent has no right or room to respond back or should just be quiet or take the higher road. I feel like you can state your opinion and still take the high road. You can still check people without being disrespectful.”

Naomi also talked about being off WWE TV for around six months, and how she usually finds out about her plans with the company online than through communication from the company. Naomi revealed that it was a surprise when she finally got the call from WWE about her return.

Tammy Lynn Sytch (Sunny) Released From Prison Earlier Than Scheduled

Tammy Lynn Sytch, better known as Sunny, was jailed since early 2019 due to multiple DUI charges against her. Her parole was revoked after multiple violations such as her failure to notify authorities of her whereabouts, failure to pay an agreed-upon monthly fee for her release, and failure to maintain a stable residence.

Recently released reports had suggested that Sunny would be released on parole next month after her new attorney filed a parole petition with the courts last month. But it looks like she has been released from prison earlier than scheduled.

Sunny was released from Carbon County Correctional in Carbon County, Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning, per Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet. Sunny has had quite the trouble with the law since 2012, when she was arrested a total of five times, in a four week period.

When an arrest warrant was issued for her in February last year for missing a scheduled drug test and maintaining a stable residence, she was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. This was her third DUI arrest in 12 months, and sixth overall.

She was sentenced to 5 years in prison in 2016 but was given credit for 97 days time served and paroled. Her previous attorney had filed a petition last year to withdraw as her defense counsel, according to court records.

Austin Theory Says John Cena Is HIs Inspiration, Reason Why He Got Into Wrestling

Austin Theory has sent waves through NXT since he made his debut in December last year. In this week’s episode of NXT, he took on Tommaso Ciampa and gave him a run for his money but eventually lost the match.

Theory was recently interviewed by ComicBook.com where he was asked about his goals for 2020, which he revealed to be a match against his inspiration, John Cena. Austin said that Cena was the first person that got him into wrestling and he liked his attitude the most. Theory also revealed that he was bullied growing up and Cena’s way of handling himself gave him encouragement to push through the harder times.

“I remember turning on the TV, and the first thing I ever saw was John Cena in the ring doing a segment with Johnny Nitro at the time and Melina. I know that makes everybody’s eyes roll. But I remember watching that, and just his attitude, I just liked it.

“For me growing up, I was bullied in school, and I didn’t have my dad in my life, so it kind of helped me, like just his attitude and the way he was and the way he carried himself, no matter what the situation was. John Cena just gave me that encouragement, and even if it sounds cheesy, just to never give up. I mean it’s true, and that’s what’s gotten me here so quick,” said Theory.

As mentioned before, Austin Theory faced Ciampa and he actually shocked him in the early portions of the match with his upstarting performance. He dominated most of the match and gave an impressive performance despite losing.

Kenny Omega Says AEW Looking To Bring Tournaments To Promotion

Kenny Omega is all too familiar with wrestling tournaments – the former IWGP champion has taken part in such tourneys and even was the first non-Japanese wrestler to win New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax. Since he’s in All Elite Wrestling now, many fans have wondered if we can see a similar round-robin format tournament in the promotion.

While speaking to ComicBook.com, Omega revealed that they have talked about introducing a tournament event and the company is open to it. He said that conversations regarding it have taken place and while nothing has been confirmed, everyone behind the scenes is on board with the idea.

“Every one of those tournaments, they’re rough on the body and it’s tough to figure out a schedule to do so,” Kenny Omega said. “Whether it be a round robin tournament, a league style or one night we are definitely looking into a tournament format because people, as a [myself] fan even, I love tournaments. As, a performer they’re tough to do, but I think it really tests the athletes’ mettle and it really separates the men from the boys. Yeah, I would love to do a tournament. I don’t know what we’d call it. Don’t have any ideas for a name, but all of us have been brought on board with a tournament. It’s just a matter of figuring out how.”

NJPW has a number of annually held tournaments, namely the coveted G1 Climax, World Tag League, New Japan Cup, Best of the Super Juniors, Super J-Cup, and Super Jr. Tag Tournament. It would be really interesting to see what kind of tournament AEW holds in the future.

At AEW Dynamite this week, Kenny Omega was seen defeating PAC in an incredible 30-minute Iron Man match. The two had scored one pinfall each over each other by the time was over, and the match was extended under sudden death rules. Omega was finally able to win the match by hitting a One-Winged Angel on PAC.

He decided to ask for his release from the company in May 2019, citing disagreement over the creative direction of his character and pay. His request was however denied by the company at the time.

Kross was finally released from Impact in December last year, effectively making him a free agent. It was reported that WWE had quite some interest in signing the 34-year-old, and he reportedly had a meeting with none other than WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Triple H.

  • Kenny Omega Responds To Fans Critical Over His AEW Tenure

Kenny Omega Responds To Fans Critical Over His AEW Tenure

Kenny Omega’s signing with All Elite Wrestling got the wrestling world buzzing and many expected him to stay on the top of the new wrestling promotion just like he was in New Japan Pro Wrestling. That, however, doesn’t seem to be the case as Omega has been on a downward spiral in AEW. He lost to Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing, then went on to lose major bouts with the likes of PAC and Jon Moxley. Not all is bad for Omega though, as he did win the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Adam Page at Chris Jericho’s cruise last month. Fans are still critical of Omega’s run so far as they assumed he would be on the top of the company.

Omega was recently asked about his opinion on the criticism he’s been receiving regarding his stint in AEW.

“It’s funny because I feel like when people … I could compare it to when your favorite player perhaps gets traded to another team,” Omega told Sporting News. “When your favorite player gets traded to another team, and he’s initially not the top scorer or leading in assists or playing the way that he used to play like he did for the home team, your team, it’s easy to criticize them and say that you made a big mistake, and that you’ll never be the same guy again and that it’s all downhill.”

Omega added that just because he’s not putting on matches that last 45-60 minutes doesn’t mean that he’s not the same guy. Omega believes not everything is about him, he’s trying to help a company run a weekly live show.

“This isn’t about tooting my own horn, but it’s like I’m now helping run a company that has live television every Wednesday. I’m part of a very successful tag team with “Hangman” Adam Page, a guy that I have a lot of chemistry with, and I’m existing within a division of guys that are amongst the top of all the tag teams on all of the planet and showing that it takes more than just having a good long singles match to be called the best in the world.”

Omega continued and added that he believes he is at its creative peak. He believes that having the same kind of match over and over doesn’t make someone the best wrestler in the world, they have to have layers to them and do different things.

  • Bayley Says Fans Making Fun Of Her New Look Doesn’t Bother Her

Bayley Says Fans Making Fun Of Her New Look Doesn’t Bother Her

Bayley turned heel in last September and cut off the trademark ponytail that she had for seven years. This marked a major change in her overall character and persona.

Bayley revealed in an interview with The Sun that she receives a lot of criticism from fans about her looks but she doesn’t care.

“I have always taken a lot of flak, fans are always mean to me, what else is new. But who cares?”

Bayley says that a lot of people have told her that they don’t like her haircut and that they want her to get a manager.

“They have been making fun of my hair too but it doesn’t get to me, these guys can make fun of me all they want.”

Bayley also said that she was never the type of fan who would overstep her boundary with her idol. She asked people to not follow her around when they see her outside.

“I don’t like it when they overstep their boundaries, because I was never that sort of fan. If you bump into me at the gym or in a restaurant and you want to say hi, then it’s OK, just don’t follow me,” Bayley said.

Bayley also talked about achieving her dream of finding success in the WWE. She says that she sometimes wonders if this is the same WWE she used to watch as a kid because she is one of the top stars right now.

Bayley added that this has been her dream since she was ten years old, and she tries not to disappoint her. She tries to snap out of it and tells herself that this is her career and she’s doing great as it is. “If I could get a message to that 10-year-old version of me it would be ‘you’re not crazy and it’s going to be OK.”

Bayley is set to defend her SmackDown Women’s title on Super ShowDown against the winner of the number one contender match which will take place next week at SmackDown, between Carmella and Naomi.

  • Toma Tonga Says Online Feud With Enzo Amore Is Over

Toma Tonga Says Online Feud With Enzo Amore Is Over

Tama Tonga says that his online feud with Enzo Amore is done for, even though he isn’t sure how it began in the first place.

Last year at the G1 Supercard event held at Madison Square Garden, Enzo Amore and Big Cass jumped the guardrail after a tag team match between Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling talents. Enzo was taken out by Bully Ray and then both were pinned down soon. It seemed all too real and fans wondered if it was a work or if Enzo really tried to invade the event.

Tonga was asked about this in an interview with Wrestling Inc and he said that he was as confused as everyone else was.

“I was just as confused as you. The only difference was that I showed just how confused I was backstage to everybody and my frustrations. But I think we’re good now and we’ve all smoothed it out. We’re in a better place now,” said Tonga.

Tonga was not happy with ROH’s decision to bring in Enzo and Cass for the angle and chastised the company online. “I love the fact that Enzo and Cass came and jumped the losers of our match. @ringofhonor booking at its finest,” he wrote on Twitter.

Enzo then cut a scathing, profanity-filled promo on ROH and NJPW for not letting him in their locker room. Tonga replied to this and called Enzo “cancer”.

The two went back and forth like this on Twitter throughout the rest of the year.

Speaking on their feud, Tonga said that he had his fun with it but now it’s time to get serious and move on from it.

“It was fun, I’m not gonna lie. I love going on social media and having some fun with it,” admitted Tonga. “But now it’s that time that I’ve got to take myself serious and move on.”
