Nikki Bella brings a romantic tango to the “Dancing with the Stars” ballroom

Nikki Bella isn’t hanging up her dancing shoes just yet! The Superstar is still in the hunt for the Mirror Ball Trophy on “Dancing with the Stars” after an Argentine Tango on Movie Night of Season 25 of ABC’s reality hit.

Nikki received a 36 out of 40 for the foreign film-influenced tango with professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, bringing a dreamy, French twist to the ballroom, as John Cena, Brie Bella, Maryse and mom Kathy watched from the audience.

“That was so romantic, what you would expect from a foreign film, from a foreign language – the language of love,” guest judge Shania Twain said of the dance, which was done to a French song. “That was beautiful, very elegant.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli agreed: “You just presented a little side of yourself that you should explore. It was like a French perfume, intriguing, like it never leaves your mind.”

After the judges’ scores and comments, Nikki and Artem were informed early on Monday’s episode that they were safe from elimination!

Nikki still needs your votes to stay in the running for The Mirror Ball Trophy. Call to vote for Nikki toll-free at 1-800-868-3409. (Save this number, as it will be Nikki and Artem’s number to dial each week!) The Rock Schools Comedian Who Says “Wrestling Isn’t Real”

Don’t tell The Rock that wrestling isn’t real.

Sunday night marked Kurt Angle’s return to the ring after an 11 year hiatus. In an interesting bit of trivia, Kurt Angle defeated The Rock to win his first WWE Championship back on October 22, 2000 – with Sunday’s TLC marking the 17 year anniversary of that occasion.

Ahead of Angle’s return to action, The Rock tweeted congratulations to Angle and told him to have fun in the ring.

Australian comedian Ben Pobjie replied to The Rock that “wrestling isn’t real” and it’s time he knew that. Rock let him have it:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JIwwCSvxf4?rel=0&w=560&h=315]

– The WWE TLC event marked just the 4th time in WWE history where a 5-on-3 Handicap Match happened on TV or pay-per-view. On a related note, a team of 5 Superstars has never defeated a team of 3 Superstars. For those who missed it, the TLC main event saw RAW General Manager Kurt Angle team with RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to defeat Kane, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Sheamus and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

– SmackDown Superstar AJ Styles tweeted the following on his loss to Finn Balor’s Demon at last night’s RAW brand TLC pay-per-view:

https://twitter.com/DrewGulak/status/922246671752486915

It looks like Gulak was still planning on hosting the segment just before the pre-show began as he posted the following with less than two hours until the show hit the air:

Drew McIntyre’s Takeover Opponent, Ruby Riot Not Injured?, The Authors Of Pain

– Zelina Vega interrupted a backstage interview with WWE NXT Champion Drew McIntyre on tonight’s NXT episode, likely setting up a match between Drew and Andrade “Cien” Almas at the “Takeover: WarGames” event during Survivor Series weekend.

Vega asked McIntyre why he has been avoiding Almas and Drew said he’d fight anyone at any time, he’s just been busy. Drew also told Vega to go to NXT General Manager William Regal and get the match, and that if Almas wants the match he should come face him instead of sending just his business partner.

– It was believed that Ruby Riot may have suffered an injury at the October 4th NXT TV tapings during the Triple Threat Takeover qualifier with Ember Moon and Sonya Deville, which aired tonight and saw Ember win to advance to the NXT Women’s Title Fatal 4 Way at Takeover with Kairi Sane, Peyton Royce and another competitor to be determined next week via Battle Royal. It appeared that Ruby injured her ankle after a top rope crossbody to the floor. Deville then put her ankle lock on Riot and it looked as if she was injured but Riot was back in the ring two nights later at a NXT live event and she’s worked a few live events since then. WWE’s website made mention of the injury in their NXT recap but they have not announced anything on Riot’s status.

– As noted, this week’s NXT show saw The Authors of Pain and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering make their first TV appearance since losing the NXT Tag Team Titles to SAnitY at “Takeover: Brooklyn III” in August. Akam and Rezar attacked Eric Young, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe during their six-man main event with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era, forcing the finish of the match. The Authors then closed the show by standing tall over SAnitY with the titles in the air as The Undisputed Era looked on from the stage.

Below are post-show comments from Akam, Rezar and Ellering, who mentioned the two-ring, three-team main event of next month’s “Takeover: WarGames” event:
