Zilla Fatu Wants Match With John Cena In WWE Icon’s Farewell Tour

In 2025, John Cena will end his in-ring career in WWE, finishing one of the most iconic and influential wrestling careers in the industry’s history. Speculation has been running rampant as to what Cena’s final 12 months in the ring will look like, and Zilla Fatu is ready to be a part of it.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Zilla Fatu expressed how much he would love the chance to wrestle John Cena before John hangs up his jorts for good.

“I have met John Cena before, plenty of times. I would love to wrestle John Cena. Who wouldn’t? Just to have the bragging rights to say you wrestled John Cena. I think that’s dope. I don’t care if I, well, nah, I do care if I win. But he’s a legend, definitely a Hall of Famer. So, I would love to put him on my resume, for sure.”

Cena is no stranger to facing those in Zilla’s family, including John Cena, The Rock, and more recently, Solo Sikoa. In early 2007, Cena faced Zilla’s father Umaga in back-to-back pay-per-views and was able to end the undefeated streak of the Samoan Bulldozer.

Zilla Fatu’s Path to WWE

This week has also seen WWE launch its WWE ID program which will give independent wrestlers a more direct path to a future in the promotion. With Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling (where Fatu is currently a champion) already linked, WWE ID could be the method by which Zilla officially becomes a WWE Superstar. Booker has already endorsed Zilla as a future WWE signing, as the two-time Hall of Famer/NXT commentator has high expectations for the 25-year-old.

Cena’s Retirement Tour

Cena is expected to make several appearances for WWE in 2025, including as part of Monday Night Raw’s move to Netflix. Zilla Fatu is not the only name who hopes to step in the ring with John before the WWE icon calls it a career.

Alexa Bliss Impersonator Scams Elderly Man Out of $1 Million

As larger-than-life names who appear on TV, WWE Superstars are huge celebrities, and sadly, that means scammers will use a talent’s name and likeness with ill intent. Alfred Mancinelli was just one of several people who fell victim to scams, and it cost the now-deceased grandfather $1 million and much more.

This week, Chris Mancinelli, Alfred’s son, spoke to the New York Times about his father who died last summer at the age of 79. Chris shared that Alfred had been conned by an account pretending to be Alexa Bliss, and gave up $1 million in in retirement savings and his granddaughter’s college fund. When Chris stepped in to try and protect his father’s remaining $100,000, Alfred sued him as his loyalty was to the scammer he knew as ‘Lexi.’

“There was nothing we could do to convince him… I believe they crafted stories that pulled on those heart strings.”

The fake Bliss claimed that she’d been humiliated by Vince McMahon after ‘she’ refused his advances, and often claimed to be hospitalized for bad menstrual periods. After Alfred sued Chris to get his remaining $100,000 back in February 2023, the money was gone within a month. In the interview, Chris shared that his father’s problem with the scammer was well-known in the family.

“If he didn’t pass, he would have kept going. The girls [Chris’ daughters] all knew that their grandpa was getting scammed so they were already on alert for suspicious activity.”

Bliss herself has spoken numerous times about people falling victims to scammers impersonating her online, and sadly, Alfred Mancinelli lost both money and his relationship with his family before passing. His story, like others, reminds fans to be careful on social media, and if something like your favorite wrestler DMing you out of nowhere seems to good to be true, that’s because it almost certainly is.

Watch: Superstars Rock Their WWE Halloween Costumes For the Spooky Season

Another Halloween has come and gone, and for the Superstars of WWE, they once again have had the chance to dress up for the season. The Superstars are hardly strangers to portraying colorful characters on TV every single week and that has been the case with this year’s Halloween costumes.

On X, WWE showcased some of the Superstars in this year’s costumes. Otis and Akira Tozawa made quite the pair of Dudley Boyz while Maxxine Dupri portrayed the ‘Duchess of Dudleyville’ Stacey Kiebler. R-Truth dressed as his childhood icon John Cena while Chelsea Green and Piper Niven did their take on WWE GMs Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce.

Mia Yim channeled her inner Lita while Zelina Vega represented her LWO ally Rey Mysterio from his WCW days post-unmasking. Byron Saxton gave a royal replication of King Booker and, Indi Hartwell learned how to be Chelsea Green from the self-prescribed Hot Mess herself.

Halloween is always a fun time in wrestling, with WWE leaning into the spooky season with the recent NXT Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE as the company prepares for major changes, including Raw’s move to Netflix, in the coming months.

Ruby Soho & Angelo Parker Announce Birth Of Daughter Evie

In April, Ruby Soho revealed to the world and Angelo Parker that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. The following month, the pair officially tied the knot and this week, the duo became proud parents to a baby girl.

On Instagram, Soho shared that the couple’s daughter Evie arrived into the world a few days earlier than expected. Soho added that she and Parker are full of love for the newest addition to their family.

“Trick or Treat! We’re PARENTS! A few nights ago, Evie arrived a few days early and perfect in every way. We love her more than anything in the world and we are so very happy!”

Several names from wrestling sent their congratulations to the couple including Alexa Bliss, Cassie Lee, and Jessica McKay, all of whom became parents in recent years. Dakota Kai, who wrestled as Evie before coming to WWE, was especially pleased with the name.

Pro Wrestling’s Baby Fever

Soho and Parker aren’t the only notable names that experienced baby fever this year. Mere days after Solo shared that she was pregnant, fellow Riott Squad alum Valhalla shared that she and War Raider Erik are also expecting their second child.

At San Diego Comic-Con, former WWE RAW & SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey shared that she is expecting her second child and revealed her baby bump at the convention. Rousey and her husband Travis Browne welcomed their daughter La’akea into the world in September 2021.

Congratulations to Soho and Parker on their joyous news.

CJ Perry Teases TV Reunion With Miro After Confirmed Split This Year

Earlier this year, CJ Perry confirmed that her time with AEW had come to an end after debuting for the promotion in late 2023. Perry has yet to resurface in the world of professional wrestling, but a social media post this week has sparked speculation of a reunion with herself and Miro.

Dressed as Tiffany from the Child’s Play series, Perry shared an Instagram video of herself attempting to ‘resurrect’ Rusev, the character Miro played for years as part of WWE. Perry also spoke in a Russian accent, a nod to her own WWE tenure as Lana, and asked fans if they wanted to see Rusev and Lana back together on TV.

This video is certainly an interesting one from Perry, who separated from Miro earlier this year. The couple tied the knot in 2016 and in the video, Perry referred to the Bulgarian as her ex-husband. Miro has been a part of AEW since 2020 though is seldom used, with just seven matches over the past two years and none in 2024.

Rusev and Lana proved to be a popular duo in WWE, with support for ‘Rusev Day’ earning the Bulgarian a WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules 2018. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from both Perry and Miro in the world of professional wrestling.

Rhea Ripley Dealing With Real Injury, NXT Angle To Write Her Off (Report)

During this week’s WWE NXT, Rhea Ripley was seen laid out in the infamously dangerous NXT parking lot, the victim of an attack by baseball bat-wielding Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Fans were taken aback by how much blood was shown during the segment, and it’s now reported that the Australian Superstar is dealing with a legitimate injury.

A real injury resulted in this angle being produced, according to PW Insider, but no specifics were given as to what is wrong with Rhea Ripley. Earlier this year, Ripley missed three months of action earlier this year after suffering a shoulder injury during a segment with Liv Morgan. That injury resulted in Ripley vacating the WWE Women’s World Championship, a title that Morgan now holds.

WWE is reporting that Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket, which will put Ripley out of action for an undisclosed amount of time. On X, Ripley shared some X-rays and warned Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez that they had made a fatal error in judgment.

Ripley has made it her mission to regain the Women’s World Championship from Morgan, though has been unsuccessful thus far. The Australian came up short at SummerSlam thanks to the betrayal by Dominik Mysterio while the return of Raquel Rodriguez ensured the title didn’t change hands at WWE Bad Blood earlier this month.

This is a huge setback for Ripley who is one of the very top Superstars on Raw and has appeared for both SmackDown and NXT in recent weeks. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Rhea Ripley as we wish her a full an speedy recovery.

Latest On Bobby Lashley’s Status After Debut On (10/30) Dynamite

On the October 30, edition of AEW Dynamite, Bobby Lashley made his long-awaited AEW debut by confronting and attacking Swerve Strickland. Lashley’s arrival comes after months of reports and speculation about him coming to Tony Khan’s first promotion and now the two-time former WWE World Champion is ready to make an impact on AEW programming.

Lashley has been under contract for some time now, but his debut with the promotion was delayed. Initially, his first appearance was set to be at AEW WrestleDream earlier this month. Plans changed as AEW wanted to focus on Jon Moxley’s faction angle and the end of Bryan Danielson’s full-time in-ring career.

Lashley officially signed with AEW in September, shortly before AEW Grand Slam: Dynamite in September, according to Fightful. That show saw the debut of MVP while Shelton Benjamin arrived on the five-year edition of Dynamite. Benjamin was a part of Lashley’s debut as he and the All Mighty attacked Strickland while MVP held Prince Nana at bay. Strickland had previously made clear that he would be sticking with Nana rather than take on MVP as a manager.

Lashley’s arrival is a huge coup for AEW as Tony Khan now has one of WWE’s biggest stars in recent years. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Bobby Lashley now that the All Mighty former World Champion is now All Elite.

Private Party Win AEW World Tag Titles On (10/30) Dynamite

At AEW WrestleDream, Private Party put up a valiant effort against The Young Bucks in their World Tag Team Title match but ultimately fell short to the EVPs. On this week’s Dynamite, the two teams did battle again, and this time, it was Private Party who emerged victorious.

The stakes were raised for the rematch, as Quen and Zay had vowed to disband for good if they lost to the Bucks on Dynamite. Zay was busted open during the match, but that didn’t keep Private Party down, as the pair hit stereo 450 splashes on the Jacksons, but they weren’t able to get the pinfall.

The finish of the match saw Matt Jackson hit the One-Winged Angel on Zay but Quen broke up the pinfall at the very last second. Private Party was able to nail Gin & Juice to get the win and their first tag titles since joining AEW back in 2019.

This win marks the end of the latest tag title reign for the Young Bucks, who had held the titles since AEW Dynasty in April. The pair hold the record for the most title reigns (3) and the most days as AEW World Tag Team Champions (523 days.) After their loss, the Bucks told Christopher Daniels that they’ll be working from home from now on.

It remains to be seen when The Young Bucks will be back, as they don’t plan on wrestling anytime soon if this comment is to be believed. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from AEW and the new World Tag Team Champions Private Party.

Bobby Lashley Debuts In AEW, Aligns With MVP & Shelton Benjamin

When MVP and Bobby Lashley left WWE, speculation quickly grew that the pair would be heading to AEW. During AEW Grand Slam: Dynamite, MVP made his debut, and now the All Mighty former WWE Champion has joined his friend and manager.

In the main event of the October 30, edition of Dynamite, Swerve Strickland took on Shelton Benjamin, another name brought in by MVP. In the climax of the match, Swerve nailed a Liger Bomb and a Swerve Stomp to get the win, his first in over two months.

After the match was over, MVP got his phone out and he made a call. Then the lights went out and Bobby Lashley made his way to the ring. Fans chanted “holy s**t” as Lashley arrived and with MVP holding back Prince Nana, Lashley and Benjamin double-teamed Swerve Strickland.

MVP grabbed the microphone after everything was over, and yelled, “Guess who’s back in business?!” Lashley’s arrival is a huge coup for AEW as Tony Khan now has one of WWE’s biggest stars in recent years.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Bobby Lashley now that the All Mighty former World Champion is now All Elite.

Kenny Omega Appearing For NJPW At 11/4 Power Struggle Event

Due to a difficult bout with diverticulitis, Kenny Omega has been out of action for the entirety of 2024 with only a handful of AEW appearances to his name. While questions remain about Omega’s in-ring future, the Cleaner will make a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling next month as part of the company’s Power Struggle event.

The event will mark Omega’s first time appearing for New Japan in close to two years. His most recent match for the promotion came in January 2023 when he and Kazuchika Okada defeated Aaron Henare and Jeff Cobb at the New Year’s Dash event.

NJPW Power Struggle 2024

NJPW Power Struggle 2024 will take place on November 4, from the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka, Japan. The card is as follows:

  • Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Shingo Takagi (IWGP World Heavyweight Championship)
  • David Finlay (c) vs. Taichi (IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship)
  • Douki (c) vs. Master Wato (IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship)
  • TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste) (c) vs. United Empire (Great-O-Khan and Henare) (IWGP Tag Team Championship)
  • 2024 Super Junior Tag League finals
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi and Boltin Oleg vs. House of Torture (Evil and Ren Narita)
  • Sanada vs. Shota Umino

Omega’s appearance adds a layer of unpredictability to the show and fans are eager to see what he has to say and do. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Kenny Omega and his continuing journey to recovery.

Latest On Rhea Ripley After Bloody Assault On (10/29) WWE NXT

On the October 29, edition of WWE NXT, Rhea Ripley returned to the brand she once dominated and had a segment with Kelani Jordan, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Zaria, and TNA Wrestling’s Jordynne Grace. Ripley fired the quintet of women up ahead of next week’s massive ten-woman tag-team match, but the Monday Night Raw Superstar fell victim to a brutal attack shortly after.

During the introductions of the show’s main event, a camera rushed backstage and arrived in the famously dangerous NXT parking lot. There, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were seen walking away with baseball cats and Ripley was laying by her car. The Australian was busted open and was a bloody mess, clearly the victim of an assault from her nemesis and Morgan’s bodyguard.

Fans were shocked to see the brutal scene as WWE typically avoids showing blood if they can help it. In an update, Corey Brennan of Fightful reported that there was some “concern internally” about the amount of blood, but that a “higher power” within the company gave the segment the green light.

Morgan has done plenty to Ripley as part of her Revenge Tour that isn’t going to be ending anytime soon. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Rhea Ripley after the brutal assault that unfolded this week on WWE NXT.

RVD Appears On WWE NXT, Has Plans For 11/6 Show In ECW Arena

Next week, WWE NXT will air from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, better known to wrestling fans as the ECW Arena. A huge 10-person tag team match has been announced for the show, and fans can expect to see Rob Van Dam return to the arena he made his home for years.

In the main event of this week’s show, Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander challenged NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom. During the match, Wes Lee tried to get involved with a steel chair but Evans chased him off. This left Alexander all to himself and it wasn’t long after that ‘Fraxiom’ retained the gold.

Backstage, Evans and Lee continued their brawl as security and NXT General Manager Ava tried to stop the fight. Then, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam walked up and said “I know what I wanna do next week, you just gave me an idea“, ending the show on a cliffhanger. Earlier in the night, RVD had said he wanted to earn a spot on the November 6, WWE NXT from the ECW Arena.

WWE NXT in the ECW Arena is shaping up to be a huge night for the silver brand with stars from the past and present set to collide in Philadelphia. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from WWE NXT including breaking news and live results.

Jordynne Grace Returns to NXT, Tag Match Announced For ECW Arena

Ahead of the October 29, edition of WWE NXT, the silver brand was advertising the in-ring debut of Zaria, who made an impact at NXT Halloween Havoc. Not only did fans get to see Zaria in action last night, but they also witnessed the return of TNA Wrestling’s Jordynne Grace.

Brinley Reece was the unlucky soul selected to be Zaria’s first opponent. During the match, Reece appeared to have dislocated her arm, but Zaria popped it back into place. Despite attempts at a comeback by Reece, this match was all Zaria who got the win with an F5.

Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade made their way to the ring to confront Zaria, as did Fatal Influence. Kelani Jordan, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia then appeared to give Zaria some backup, meaning there were five heels to the four babyfaces. Suddenly, Jordynne Grace appeared to even up the score and the five women brawled.

This was an epic brawl on this week’s show and fans will get to see these ten women go at it next week. A ten-woman tag-team match has been confirmed for the WWE NXT that will take place in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from WWE NXT and its growing women’s division.

Vince McMahon Launching New Entertainment Company With Ex-WWE Execs (Report)

Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon is reportedly in the process of setting up a new entertainment company Sources who spoke to PW Insider report that the 79-year-old billionaire is in the process of setting up an entity that would finance, develop, and produce film and TV projects. The current plan is for it to be officially unveiled if/when McMahon’s ongoing legal issues are resolved.

Several former WWE names are reportedly attached to the project, including former COO Brad Blum and former Senior VP of Entertainment Relations Kristen Prouty. Both parted ways with WWE in May of this year, with Blum resigning while Prouty was let go. Despite having some of his former execs on board, McMahon’s new company isn’t expected to be similar at all to WWE, and will instead focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.

McMahon’s reported attempt to re-establish himself in entertainment (albeit out of the wrestling) business comes at an interesting time. McMahon remains the focus of a Dept. of Justice investigation into him and his ‘hush money’ payments that came to light in 2022, as well as Janel Grant’s lawsuit. McMahon was recently the subject of Netflix’s six-part Mr. McMahon docuseries that has given a fresh take on his many scandals and controversies.

Whether Vince McMahon can forge a new career in entertainment with his new company, his name will forever be synonymous with wrestling, despite WWE’s efforts to distance themselves from him in 2024. Stays tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Vince McMahon’s life after leaving WWE, and this prospective new venture.

Students showing exceptional promise will receive a WWE ID prospect designation to track their development.

“WWE ID is the latest in our efforts to identify and support the journey of up-and-coming wrestlers, in turn raising the profile of and strengthening the independent wrestling ecosystem.”

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque

Talent Recruitment & Development

WWE has established a comprehensive talent development pipeline that feeds into its developmental brand, NXT. At the heart of this system is the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, a world-class facility where prospects hone their in-ring skills and character work.

The company’s NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) program strategically recruits standout collegiate athletes, securing commitments from them to pursue WWE careers after completing their education.

The latest addition, the WWE ID program, partners with premier wrestling schools to identify and cultivate promising talent. Together, these three initiatives ensure a steady stream of prospects as they search for the next generations of wrestling superstars.

“See You Soon” – Conor McGregor Taunts WWE Champ Cody Rhodes

As his nickname suggests, Conor McGregor is ‘notorious’ in the world of UFC and has never shied from the spotlight, for better or worse. Over the years, much has been said about McGregor joining WWE, and now the Irish fighter is ready to meet with Cody Rhodes.

On X, McGregor shared a video of Rhodes and MMA commenter The Schmo enjoying a bottle of Proper No. 12 whisky, McGregor’s own brand. McGregor was pleased to see the pair display “class personified” and told Rhodes that the pair will see each other soon.

McGregor’s comment comes after Rhodes said he supported the idea of the Notorious One making the move from MMA to WWE. On The Schmo podcast, Rhodes said that he’d love to see McGregor “dip his toes” into wrestling and believes he’d be “great” at it.

Conor McGregor in WWE: For & Against

As one of the most recognizable and charismatic names in UFC, it’s hardly a surprise that many belive McGregor would fit right in as part of pro wrestling. In February of this year, fellow Irish competitor Becky Lynch said it was “very likely” that McGregor would join WWE, and believes he has already been influenced by the brand of Sports Entertainment. McGregor himself gave a ‘you never know’ response when asked in March.

While McGregor would be a huge get for WWE, there are factors working against a deal being reached. At 36, McGregor is older than the typical WWE signing, and any negotiations would certainly fetch a high asking price that could put WWE off of his services.

McGregor has also found himself in trouble with the law multiple times, including assaulting an older man in the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin in 2019. In 2021, McGregor became the subject of an assault case involving a woman. The matter is scheduled to be heard in Dublin’s High Court on November 5.

Liv Morgan Shares What’s Next On Her 2024 Revenge Tour

2024 has seen Liv Morgan embark on her ‘revenge tour’ which has seen her wage war on the woman who costs her months of in-ring action; Rhea Ripley. As part of her tour, Morgan has taken the Women’s World Title, The Judgment Day, and Dominik Mysterio away from Ripley, but what’s next for this tour?

On the Insight podcast, Morgan addressed her impressive 2024 and was admittedly unsure about what’s next for her tour.

“I don’t know. At Bad Blood that was for me this is done. Rhea seems unsatisfied with the finish of this match and she’s kind of just a little bit obsessive at this point, won’t leave us alone. So I feel like there might be a little bit of unfinished business that I have to take care of. So it might not be [over].”

One concern that could be in Morgan’s future is Tiffany Stratton, whose Money in the Bank contract has put her at odds with the Women’s World Champion. On the podcast, Morgan looked at her various issues and why she’s not too worried.

“I have Nia Jax to prep for Crown Jewel. I have Tiffany potentially wanting to cash in on me, and I have Rhea who is literally being a stage five clinger and stalker for me and Daddy Dom. So there’s a lot of things going on. But luckily, I’m not looking over my shoulder. Do you know why? Because I have Raquel Rodriguez doing that for me.”

Morgan will face Women’s Champion Nia Jax at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2 to determine the first Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Crown Jewel including breaking news and live results.

After Raw: Dark Matches, Cody Celebrates With Cancer Survivor

The action didn’t stop at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania after this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw went off the air. The show saw the red brand roster continue on the road to WWE Crown Jewel, with a huge six-man tag-team match with Roman Reigns being announced for the November 2, Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In a dark match after Raw, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was in action and defeated Carmelo Hayes. After the match, Rhodes spoke to the fans and noticed a fan’s sign that read “I Finished My Cancer Story to See Cody.” The American Nightmare invited the fan into the ring, where they shared a hug while Rhodes gifted them his weight belt.

LA Knight After WWE Raw

Rhodes wasn’t the only Superstar to win after this week’s episode of WWE Raw went off the air. In another dark match, U.S. Champion LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar. In an amusing exchange with Lilian Garcia, Knight said the recently returned ring announcer had done a great job announcing his name, but wanted her to pause between the letters L and A.

Both Knight and Rhodes have major matches this weekend at WWE Crown Jewel. Knight will defend his title against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes while Rhodes will take on GUNTHER to determine the first Men’s Crown Jewel Champion. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from WWE Crown Jewel including breaking news and live results.

The Miz Is “Dead For Sure” After Being Kidnapped By The Wyatt Sicks

During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Karrion Kross tasked The Miz with finding Bo Dallas and asking him why the Wyatt Sicks is getting involved with his work. Kross even threatened to break the legs of WWE’s resident A-Lister if he didn’t deliver, but now it appears a worse fate has fallen The Miz.

Taking to X after Raw, Kross shared a video of his wife Scarlet informing him that the Uncle Howdy-led faction had kidnapped The Miz. Kross responded by saying that The Miz is “definitely dead” and later reiterated that he is “dead for sure.” While Scarlett spoke about helping The Miz, Kross said he’d try and find him only for ten minutes, and would head back to their hotel room if he’s not found after that time window.

Being threatened by Kross and kidnapped by The Wyatt Sicks was only two parts of The Miz’s very bad time at this week’s Raw. During the show, R-Truth teased having a present for his former friend, only to slap the former WWE Champion across the face.

It remains to be seen when we’ll next see The Miz, or what condition the A-Lister will be in after being grabbed by The Wyatt Sicks. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from The Miz and his growing issues on Monday Night Raw.

Latest On Oba Femi’s Future After NXT North American Title Defeat

On the October 8, episode of WWE NXT, Oba Femi’s record-long reign as WWE NXT North American Champion came to an end at the hands of Tony D’Angelo. At NXT Halloween Havoc, Femi failed to regain the gold against ‘The Don’ in the Tables, Ladders, and Scares match, but what’s next for The Ruler?

With Femi’s future uncertain, many fans have speculated that a move to the main roster could be in the Nigerian star’s immediate future. According to Corey Brennan of Fightful however, there hasn’t been any backstage talk to suggest that Femi is coming up soon. Brennan also made clear that he hadn’t heard of anyone “saying goodbyes” after Halloween Havoc, which typically takes place before a Superstar is called to the main roster.

On the contrary, many within WWE NXT see him as “next in line for the title,” presumably the NXT Championship that Trick Williams regained earlier this month. Brennan said that NXT Stand & Deliver 2025 during WrestleMania 41 weekend was the “most likely” event where fans would see Femi dethrone Williams.

Femi has been booked strongly in NXT ever since his victory in the Men’s Breakout Tournament last year. While fans can expect a bright future for the Ruler on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown though, plans for such a move aren’t in the works at this time. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Oba Femi, who has recently teased something with Nikkita Lyons, as the Nigerian star remains a fixture of NXT programming.

AJ Styles Says He Declined TNA’s Hall of Fame Offer, Not WWE

At TNA Bound for Glory 2024Rhino and the late Bob Ryder were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, and others. This week, it was reported that TNA approached WWE about AJ Styles being inducted, only for the Sports Entertainment juggernaut to say no.

In an update however, Styles clarified that it was he, not WWE, who turned down the chance of a TNA Hall of Fame induction. While the Phenomenal One appreciates TNA, he doesn’t wish to be a part of any Hall of Fame as long as he remains an active talent.

Styles was considered the face of TNA Wrestling for years and debuted for the company at TNA’s very first show in 2002. After an impressive run with the promotion, Styles parted ways with TNA in 2014 and would join WWE two years later. Though AJ wasn’t inducted this year, he did appear via video for Bob Ryder’s induction.

Styles has certainly done enough to warrant a TNA Hall of Fame induction, but such an honor won’t be in his immediate future. Styles has been out of action since the October 4, edition of WWE SmackDown, where he suffered an injury in his first match back on TV after a lengthy absence. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on AJ Styles and his plans in his pro wrestling future.

JBL Promises “Global Takeover” Of Lucha Libre AAA As Part Of Ownership Team

As a self-made millionaire, WWE Hall of Famer John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield is no stranger to making major financial decisions. Now the former World Champion has arrived in AAA and has big plans for the company thanks to his financial backing.

After appearing at AAA TripleMania in August, JBL shared that he has become one of the main investors in the Mexican promotion. Appearing this past week for AAA, JBL spoke with Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña, the company’s director general. In the segment, Layfield spoke about bringing AAA to the United States, declaring that it’s where the money is, but said he’d still keep a ‘territory’ in Mexico.

JBL further made his point on Twitter, promising a “global takeover” by AAA and promising to make Mexico great. Alluding to his appearances in various promotions, JBL said he’s not everywhere just yet but plans to be soon enough.

Layfield has been appearing for AAA, MLW, GCW, and TNA, where he recently thwarted Joe Hendry’s attempt at becoming TNA World Champion. After screwing over the viral Scottish star, JBL bestowed quite the moniker upon himself.

As for what John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield does next, right now, it seems only JBL knows. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from JBL and his huge international plans as an investor in Lucha Libre AAA.

TNA Requested Current WWE Star For Hall of Fame Induction (Report)

At TNA Bound for Glory 2024, Rhino and the late Bob Ryder were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, and others. This was an emotional highlight of TNA’s highest-attended pay-per-view in over a decade, but a current WWE Superstar was considered for the honor.

AJ Styles was considered for a TNA Hall of Fame induction, Fightful Select reports, with TNA reaching out to WWE about it potentially happening. The report adds that WWE passed on the opportunity though did not state why. The belief within TNA is that it was due to Styles’ recent injury and WWE did not want him appearing elsewhere first. Styles has been out of action since the October 4, edition of WWE SmackDown, where he suffered an injury in his first match back on TV after a lengthy absence.

There was also said to be a hope that Styles would be open to wrestling in TNA again, though its unclear if discussions were held. Styles parted ways with TNA in 2014 and would join WWE two years later. In July, Styles competed against Naomichi Marufuji for NOAH in his first non-WWE match in over eight years.

While AJ Styles was not inducted, he did appear via video during Bound for Glory during a package for Bob Ryder. Though WWE and TNA have become partners this year and AJ’s history with TNA is no secret, it remains to be seen if the Phenomenal One will appear in a TNA ring again after TNA’s request for an induction was reportedly blocked.

Series Of Injuries Impact (10/27) TNA Wrestling Tapings

The latest tapings of TNA Impact saw two major names face injuries, in huge setbacks both to the respective talent and the promotion as a whole. The tapings took place one day after TNA’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, which saw the Hardys win Tag Title gold while Joe Hendry came up short in his pursuit of the TNA World Title, thanks to a WWE Hall of Famer.

At Bound for Glory, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey retained the TNA X-Division Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo in an excellent match. During the tapings, Vikingo looked to bounce back when he took on Trent Seven. Fans in attendance took to social media to share that Vikingo suffered an injury and the match was halted when the referee signaled for medical aid. Tommy Dreamer and several others rushed to help out and Vikingo was stretchered away.

Later on in the tapings, ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) took on Matt and Jeff Hardy with the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line. During the match, Bey went down hard following what appeared to be a mistimed spot. Medical personnel rushed into the ring to attend to Bey who was carefully placed in a neck collar.

These unfortunate injuries only highlight the risks that a professional wrestler takes every time they step foot between those ropes. We’re wishing both Vikingo and Bey speedy recoveries, and hope to provide more details as they become publicly available.

Fox and Fitzgerald began dating years ago and shared in 2022 that they were engaged. That same year, Fox made a one-night return to WWE as part of that year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match which was won by the returning Ronda Rousey.

In May 2023, Fox confirmed that she was no longer with WWE, ending a 17-year tenure with the company that saw her become the first African-American Divas Champion. In April of this year, Fox, now working as Vix Crow, made her return to the ring at Starrcast’s HER event in Ballarat, Australia, where she defeated Mickie James. She has also worked against Hyan and Seleziya Sparx and has also appeared for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion.

We here at SEScoops would like to congratulate Fox and Fitzgerald on this joyous occasion and we are sending our absolute best wishes to the pair.
