YouTuber Simon Miller Wins Gold At PROGRESS Chapter 172

Simon Miller may be best known for his popular wrestling-related YouTube videos, but now, the 39-year-old has captured gold of his own in the ring.

Miller captured the Proteus Championship at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 172: Werewolves of London on October 27, 2024. The match saw Miller defeat Paul Robinson in the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London, ending Miller’s reign that had been built on the grueling “knockout or tap-out” stipulation.

Following the win, Miller took to X to thank his supporters.

This win marks a major milestone for Miller, who has steadily transitioned from content creator and commentator to a respected competitor within the wrestling scene. While best known for his content-creating work, Miller has competed for PROGRESS, Alpha-1, Defiant Wrestling, and TNA, where he was part of the promotion’s Turning Point show in October 2023.

Miller’s success in the ring highlights that there’s never been one set path for wrestlers to follow to succeed in the squared circle. His success in wrestling is mirrored by the likes of Logan Paul and Bad Bunny, who similarly have seen victories in the ring despite not initially starting off as a wrestler. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from the world of wrestling and Miller’s shocking title reign.

Zaria Appears At NXT Halloween Havoc, In-Ring Debut Announced

At WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, Fallon Henley captured the NXT Women’s North American Championship, ending the 140-day reign of Kelani Jordan. Unfortunately for Henley, she and her Fatal Influence allies had little time to celebrate, thanks to WWE NXT’s newest arrival: Zaria.

Henley won the title in a gauntlet match that also featured Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. As Nyx began cutting a post-match promo, Zaria arrived in Hershey’s Giant Center and laid waste to all three members of the faction.

The crowd was pumped to see Zaria get physical, and they won’t have to wait long to see the Australian signing again. On X, it was confirmed that Zaria will make her in-ring debut on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

Zaria

Formerly known as DELTA, Zaria signed with WWE this year after a try out in Perth during Elimination Chamber week in February. Before arriving in WWE, Zaria made an impact in her native Australia and was a fixture of Riot City Wrestling. She is a former two-time RCW Tag Team Champion, the final holder of both the RCW Championship and RCW Women’s Championship, and the first holder of the RCW Grand Championship.

Now, Zaria is a part of WWE and is already making an impact, much to the chagrin of Fatal Influence. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on the Australian powerhouse who is poised to change things dramatically in the NXT women’s division.

Dominik Mysterio Doubts Rey Is His Father: I Question My Mom All The Time

In 2005, Dominik Mysterio played a pivotal role on WWE SmackDown as Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero fought over the custody of the then-eight-year-old boy. The pair’s bout at SummerSlam saw Rey get the win and his son, but now ‘Dirty Dom’ isn’t sure if the masked legend is truly his father.

On the Insight podcast, Mysterio spoke about his heritage in wrestling, and questioned if his ‘deadbeat’ father is really his father at all:

“I question my mother all the time. Because I don’t know, my dad was gone all the time, nineties was a wild time. I don’t know what happened.”

On TV, Eddie alleged that Dominik was his biological son, who Rey and his wife Angie had adopted after struggling to conceive. While Dominik is actually Rey’s biological son in real life, the on-screen angle would prove to be gripping programming at the time, as Eddie tried to take Dominik away, solely to hurt his former friend.

Dominik’s role as a heel has been heavily inspired by Guerrero, from his mullet and facial hair to his use of the frog splash in matches. Many fans have pointed to Mysterio’s on-screen romance with Rhea Ripley to being akin to Guerrero’s work with his ‘Mamacita’ Chyna during the Attitude Era. WWE would play into this comparison with Rhea receiving an ‘I’m Your Mami’ shirt, a nod to the ‘I’m Your Papi’ shirt Guerrerro donned during his angle with Rey.

Dominik has made his views on Rey Mysterio very clear, and now he wants to distance himself even further from his legendary father. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from Dominik Mysterio and his road to establishing himself apart from his dad in WWE.

Cora Jade Is Working On Getting AJ Lee Back In A WWE Ring

AJ Lee is heralded by fans and several wrestlers as a trailblazer in WWE’s women’s division, who was able to win over fans during her time without resorting to titillation. The former WWE Divas Champion hasn’t wrestled since the post-WrestleMania 31 Raw back in March 2015, but NXT’s Cora Jade is hoping to change that very soon.

Speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Jade was asked about AJ Lee and shared her hopes of getting the 37-year-old back in the squared circle.

“I don’t know. I hope so. I’m working on it. Me and Roxy are always badgering [Punk] about it. I know he is doing it to her as well, so we’ll see. If it happens, you’ll have to thank me.”

Jade’s love for AJ Lee is hardly a secret, with both herself and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez citing her as an inspiration for stepping foot in the ring. The NXT duo have been affectionately referred to as the ‘daughters’ of Lee and CM Punk, who have both got in on the fun.

Punk said in July that his wife realizes that there is an option for a WWE return, though he will not pressure AJ to do anything she doesn’t want to do. That same month, Perez shared that she’s hopeful for AJ’s return, and is optimistic that the return of CM Punk could make it happen.

While Lee hasn’t wrestled in years, she was part of the WOW Women of Wrestling production team and also worked as a commentator for the all-female promotion. Away from the ring, Lee has been working on a graphic novel, and her memoir ‘Crazy is My Superpower’ is set for a TV adaptation.

‘Hangman’ Adam Page Vs Jay White Set For (11/23) AEW Full Gear

After months out of the ring, Jay White is back and has engaged in a war with former World Champion ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. On the most recent episode of AEW Collision, Jay White took to the mic to taunt Page, saying that he has always been ahead of the cowboy at every stage of their careers. White is confident he’ll do the same next month as he challenged White to a match at AEW Full Gear on November 23.

Later in the show, Tony Schiavone announced that the match had been made official. The legendary commentator added that Page will appear on the October 30, episode of Dynamite to address White and his challenge.

White and Page faced off at AEW WrestleDream earlier this month in a match that saw White get the win. Back in July, Page would get the win over White on Collision in what would be the Kiwi wrestler’s final match before a three-month hiatus due to injury.

AEW Full Gear 2024

AEW Full Gear 2024 will take place on November 23, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The show will be AEW’s sixth Full Gear pay-per-view and the second event of its kind in the Prudential Center.

The card for the show is as follows:

  • Jay White vs. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page
  • MJF Vs. Adam Cole or Roderick Strong (Whoever wins three matches first will get to face MJF)

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from AEW Full Gear 2024 including breaking news and live results.

The Judgment Day Victorious At OTT’s 10th Anniversary Event in Ireland

WWE’s new regime has proven to be vastly different from the old guard, as Superstars have been allowed to make appearances in other promotions. This week, The Judgment Day made its presence felt in Ireland’s Over-The-Top Wrestling promotion, in a warm homecoming for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

In the main event of the tenth-anniversary show, the pair faced off against The Social Elite in the first all-Irish main event for the promotion. The match ended with McDonagh hitting a top-rope moonsault before Balor hit the Coup de Grace for the pinfall victory.

Balor and McDonagh have held the World Tag Team Championships since the June 24, 2024, edition of Monday Night Raw, where they won the gold from Awesome Truth. Since then, the duo have had just three title defenses, with only one playing out on TV.

WWE Working With Others

McDonagh and Balor’s role at OTT’s 10th-anniversary event highlights how WWE’s current regime is more willing to ‘play’ with others than before. The same night, TNA Wrestling hosted its Bound for Glory pay-per-view, which featured NXT’s Brinley Reece on the pre-show. During the event itself, NXT’s Wendy Choo teamed with Rosemary to challenge Spitfire for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Titles, but came up short.

This year has also seen WWE partner with Marigold, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and other promotions. On January 1, 2025, Shinsuke Nakamura will return to NOAH to face Ulka Sasaki at the company’s The New Year event. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE and their work with other promotions.

Montez Ford Teases Darker Side On WWE TV: “I’m On The Verge”

The WWE Universe could soon see a darker side to Montez Ford, as the Street Profits member is growing increasingly impatient in his current WWE SmackDown role. Speaking to the Daily Star ahead of WWE’s upcoming tour of the UK, Ford reflected on the recent heel turn of Kevin Owens and teased that he could be going down a similar path.

“You seen what happened to Kevin Owens recently, he’s a little frustrated. I feel like I’m on the verge of becoming the same way. How many times do I have to takedown another variant of the Bloodline?”

Between the original Bloodline and the new variant led by Solo Sikoa, Ford has spent years taking on members of the dominant faction. It’s easy to see why Ford is growing impatient, as it’s been close to four years since either he or Angelo Dawkins held championship gold.

It wasn’t too long ago that fans had high expectations for Ford as a potential singles star, with the charismatic wrestler even receiving an endorsement by The Rock. Despite a wave of momentum, Ford has yet to receive the big solo push that seemed destined for the 34-year-old just a few years ago.

Ford and Dawkins were most recently in action on this week’s SmackDown where they defeated Pretty Deadly. While a win is always a good thing, the Street Profits remain far removed from the tag title picture, and with the gold now held by the Motor City Machine Guns, it remains to be seen if Montez snaps just like Kevin Owens in the coming weeks and months.

JBL Screws Joe Hendry In TNA World Title Shot At Bound for Glory

TNA Bound for Glory 2024 saw Joe Hendry have the biggest match of his career when he went one-on-one with Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Given his viral popularity, many felt that the show was the perfect night to see Hendry win the big one, and that was nearly the case until John Layfield got involved.

Frankie Kazarian was the guest referee, but during the match, he attempted to cash in his Call Your Shot gauntlet win, akin to WWE’s Money in the Bank contract, that he’d won on the pre-show. Layfield arrived through the crowd to clothesline Kazarian but then floored Hendry with his signature move, and gave Ryan Nemeth a shot before exiting. The match eventually saw Nic hit a Superkick and Danger Zone to retain the TNA World Title.

Many have called this a missed opportunity by TNA given that Hendry is arguably the most popular star on the company’s roster. The Scottish sensation’s star power has consistently grown this year, thanks in part to his role as part of WWE NXT. Hendry was one of the unsuccessful challengers for the TNA World Title back at Slammiversary, in another instance of TNA ‘dropping the ball’ in the eyes of many.

As for Layfield’s involvement, many have seen his TNA role as an attempt to add a dramatic twist, though questions still remain as to the motivation behind his actions, both in TNA and beyond. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from TNA and Joe Hendry’s quest to become World Champion after this latest setback.

The Hardys Win TNA World Tag Team Titles At Bound For Glory 2024

Matt and Jeff Hardy have once again reached the pinnacle of TNA’s tag team division by capturing the promotion’s tag title gold at Bound for Glory.

In the main event of the show, the Hardys defeated reigning champions The System (Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards) as well as ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey.) The match was contested under Full Metal Mayhem rules (TNA’s equivalent to WWE’s TLC match.) The win marks the brothers’ third time as TNA World Tag Team Champions, after previously holding the gold in 2015 and 2016.

TNA Bound For Glory 2024 Results

Roman Reigns Match Set For WWE Crown Jewel In Riyadh (Spoilers)

Roman Reigns will be in action at WWE Crown Jewel, in what will be just the fifth match of this year for the Original Tribal Chief.

After this week’s SmackDown, WWE taped next week’s episode of the blue brand, as WWE will be in Riyadh next Friday preparing for the Premium Live Event. During the tapings, an in-ring promo showed Reigns and The Usos united in the ring, and a match will see the Original Bloodline take on the new Bloodline. At this time, there’s no word on which three members will represent Solo Sikoa’s group.

The match will be Reigns’ first time competing since WWE Bad Blood where he and Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Reigns currently boasts a 3-1 win/loss record in 2024, with his only loss coming to Rhodes at WrestleMania.

The match at Crown Jewel has raised questions about Survivor Series, as fans have predicted that the two sides will do battle on November 30, inside WarGames. With these matches typically being at least four-on-four affairs, Reigns and The Usos will need an extra man to take on Sikoa, Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.

WWE Crown Jewel will take place on November 2, and mark WWE’s latest event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Crown Jewel, including live results and breaking news.

LA Knight Says WrestleMania 40 Was “Just Another Day At The Office”

At WrestleMania 40, LA Knight made his debut at wrestling’s biggest event and earned a victory over fellow veteran AJ Styles. While it’s the dream of countless wrestlers to compete at the Showcase of the Immortals, let alone emerge victorious, this match was not a huge deal to the current United States Champion.

While speaking to Mean Jean on 105.1 The Bounce to promote WrestleMania 41, Knight spoke about the match, and why it wasn’t as big a deal as fans may think.

“I would love to tell you yes, and it was all my childhood dreams come true… but really at the time it was just kind of a business as usual. I’m coming in, I’m gonna go in and I’m gonna do my work.”

While Knight was somewhat underwhelmed at what he called “just another night at the office,” the show did have a profound impact on his mother.

“My mom, not historically a big wrestling or WWE fan, but after going to WrestleMania now, she’s like, oh, my God, it’s all I can think about. It was so fun, and this person showed up, and Snoop Dogg showed up, and all this stuff and everything. So, like… new fans were made that night.”

These days, Knight can be found defending the United States title and will put the gold on the line at WWE Crown Jewel against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on LA Knight, as fans can expect many more WrestleManias to come for WWE’s resident Megastar.

Seth Rollins Returns To Action After (10/25) WWE SmackDown

The October 25, edition of WWE SmackDown was a stacked show as the Superstars of the blue brand sought to build momentum ahead of WWE Crown Jewel. The fans in Brooklyn, New York received a special treat after the show as Seth Rollins was in action in his first match in close to four months.

After SmackDown went off the air, Rollins defeated ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio, who had appeared during the show alongside Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. This match marked Rollins’ first match since Money in the Bank in July of this year, where he faced Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre. This match was the thirteenth time overall that Rollins and Mysterio have shared the ring after first facing off in Dominik’s in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Rollins back in the ring again, as he will face Bronson Reed at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. It was Reed’s attack on Rollins that would cost the former Universal Champions months of his career before Seth’s impactful return during the Last Monster Standing match.

The fans in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center also got a second episode of SmackDown, as the show set to air on November 1, was filed as WWE will be in Riyadh next week. Click here for the spoilers for next week’s edition of the blue brand.

Rhea Ripley & Buddy Matthews Go Head-To-Head In Viral Burger Challenge

Earlier this year, Buddy Matthews and Rhea Ripley tied the knot in a fittingly gothic ceremony between WWE’s ‘Mami’ and the House of Black member. This week, Ripley and Matthews went one on one, but traded in their suplexes and headlock for a burger and fries.

The pro-wrestling power couple faced off in the Burger Challenge on Instagram, a viral game that requires participants to complete a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink in under a minute. Ripley opted to go for her burger first while Matthews started off by making quick work of his fries. The House of Black member, who recently made history with the group, was able to finish the challenge with seconds to spare, while Ripley still had her fries and drink left. In the comments, Ripley explained her defeat, noting that “Sh*t was hard!”

Away from fast food, Rhea Ripley has been continuing her war with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio as ‘Mami’ is fixated on regaining the WWE Women’s World Championship. Ripley’s most recent opportunity came at WWE Bad Blood where she won via DQ when Raquel Rodriguez interfered, meaning that Morgan kept the gold.

As for Buddy Matthews, he, Brody King, and Malakai Black, the House of Black are continuing to forge their own path on AEW TV, and with Julia Hart declaring that she is fully healed, the group may be a complete unit again very soon. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Ripley and Matthews, both in and out of the ring.

Cody Rhodes: WrestleMania 41 Will Without A Doubt Top This Year’s Event

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes finally finished the story and ended the 1,316-day reign of Roman Reigns to become Undisputed WWE Champion. Emotions ran high, as heard from Samantha Irvin, as the show went off the air, but Rhodes has promised something even bigger for next year’s show.

While speaking to The Schmo, Cody was asked about plans for WrestleMania 41, which will take place on April 19, and 20, from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the American Nightmare was unsurprisingly hush-hush on specifics, Rhodes promised that the show would eclipse what fans saw this year in Philadelphia.

“The goal is always to top the year before. WrestleMania is like our Super Bowl—it’s the beginning and the end of WWE’s calendar year. It’s the start, the reset, everything. With WrestleMania 40, we finished the story, so now going into WrestleMania 41, we have to raise the bar. Here’s what I’ll say without giving too much away: I think what happens at WrestleMania 41 won’t align with a lot of the rumors out there. It’ll be more unexpected and, without a doubt, it will top WrestleMania 40.”

Details remain secret for WrestleMania 41, though Rhodes recently weighed in on rumors of a triple-threat match with The Rock and Roman Reigns. Fans will just have to wait and see what comes next April in Sin City, but Rhodes certainly has high hopes for the Showcase of the Immortals.

Nevermore: The Raven Effect First Trailer Is Full Of ECW Legends

For years, Scott Levy, better known as Raven, rose through the ranks of the original ECW to become one of the very top stars of the extreme promotion. Now, a new documentary aims to spotlight the man behind the character, as well as the high-risk, high-reward lifestyle of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling.

This week, fans caught their first trailer for Nevermore: The Raven Effect. NightSchool Films, the team behind the documentary, describes the project as follows:

The man behind pro wrestling’s punk rock revolution.

“Wrestling is such a brutal business, it doesn’t surprise people that it attracts sociopaths, fame whores, coke whores and adrenaline whores, but why did it attract an artist?” Asks Billy Corgan, frontman for the Smashing Pumpkins and wrestling promoter. It’s the question posed in Nevermore: The Raven Effect, which examines a pivotal shift in wrestling history, through the eyes of Raven, a brilliant but complicated performer who simultaneously self-destructs while establishing the tone of ECW, an exciting, but extreme and hazardous indy wrestling promotion that

features bloody matches, involving real weapons. Featuring: Raven, Chris Jericho, Billy Corgan, Rob Van Dam, Diamond Dallas Page, Bubba Ray Dudley, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Perry Saturn, Kevin Sullivan, Blue Meanie, Shane Douglas, Lodi, Brian Meyers, D’Lo Brown, Buff Bagwell, Sami Callihan, Moose, Scott D’Amore

The trailer doesn’t hold back as several wrestlers and wrestling personalities open up on the rampant drug use in ECW during the company’s first run. The long-term effects of ECW’s violent nature are also spotlighted in the trailer, with Jim ‘The Sandman’ Fullington, struggling to know the name of the CTE he states he is dealing with.

With the success of the Iron Claw biopic, Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries, and VICE’s Dark Side of the Ring, there is a clear market for in-depth looks at wrestling’s past. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from Nevermore, which is sure to be an extremely informative watch for fans of Raven and the original ECW.

MCMG Win Tag Titles, The Usos Reunite On (10/25) WWE SmackDown

For years, The Usos established themselves as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, with multiple title reigns and records to their name. The pair split in 2023, but now, Jimmy and Jey are finally back together in a huge move that also saw the tag team championships change hands.

In the main event of the October 25, episode of WWE SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns faced Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa with the Bloodline’s gold on the line. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso brawled with The Bloodline during the match, before a hooded figure showed up and attacked Loa and Tonga. This mystery person revealed himself to be Jey Uso. The Motor City Machine Guns then scored the win.

After the match, Jey was in the ring and Jimmy came out. The two hugged and Roman Reigns appeared on the stage, where he looked on.

Jimmy turned on Jey at WWE SummerSlam 2023, prompting Jey to split from his family and depart for Monday Night Raw. The pair later feuded, resulting in Jey besting his brother at WrestleMania 40 in April of this year. This loss would result in Jimmy being ousted from The Bloodline in April, and he’d be out of action until Bad Blood.

Now, The Usos are back on the same page and SmackDown has brand new Tag Team Champions in Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the developments on this angle now that Jimmy and Jey are back on the same page.

Mercedes Moné Reveals Her Mt. Rushmore Of Wrestling Opponents

Throughout her career, Mercedes Moné has competed against countless wrestlers and has held her own against some of the biggest names in pro wrestling. During the latest edition of Hot Ones, the AEW TBS/NJPW Strong Women’s Champion was asked for her Mt. Rushmore of opponents and shared some interesting choices.

“That’s hard for me because I’ve wrestled some of the best in the world. Number one I think is easily Bayley. We’ve made so many historic moments and matches together.

Number two might have to be Charlotte Flair. She has given me my greatest matches, my worst matches, all in between.

Three, I might have to go with Willow Nightingale.

Last but not least, I might have to choose Bianca because of our history-making moment at WrestleMania 37, when we main-evented, something that I’m gonna remember for the rest of my life.”

Bayley

Arguably the name most associated with Moné, WWE’s resident role model would first feud with the then-Sasha Banks as part of WWE NXT in 2015. This feud would see Bayley capture the NXT Women’s Championship from Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, and retain in their epic 30-minute Iron Woman match at NXT TakeOver: Respect. Years later, the pair would feud over the SmackDown Women’s Championship and would become two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Charlotte Flair

Another name that feuded with Moné in WWE NXT, the pair were called up to the main roster as part of the ‘Women’s Revolution’ of 2015. It would be just over a year later that Moné would defeat Flair in the main event of the first post-brand-split edition of Monday Night Raw to capture the Women’s Championship. The pair would trade the title back and forth and would headline Hell in a Cell 2016 in the first Women’s match inside the structure.

Bianca Belair

After winning the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair chose to face Moné for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37. At WWE’s first event in over a year with live attendees, the pair made history, as their Night One headliner became the first (and to date, only) time that two African American women headlined the event. Belair would end Moné’s 167-day reign with the gold, and their historic encounter would win an ESPY award that same year.

Willow Nightingale

The only AEW name on Moné’s list, Willow Nightingale was on the CEO’s radar the moment she arrived in Tony Khan’s promotion. It was during Moné’s debut episode on Dynamite: Big Business that she would save Nightingale from an attack by Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Just 35 days later, Moné would capture the TBS Championship from Nightingale, a title she holds to this day.

Ring Boy Lawyer Responds To Vince McMahon’s Statement

Earlier this month, a lawsuit was filed, alleging that WWE higher-ups knew of the ring boy scandal at the time, but did not attempt to prevent it. The scandal saw minors hired by the then-WWF allegedly sexually abused by some in the company, resulting in the firings of Pat Patterson, Mel Philips, and Terry Garvin, though Patterson was later rehired.

In a statement, Jessica T. Rosenberg, who is representing Vince McMahon, claimed that the allegations are “untrue and unfounded.” That statement also referenced Phil Mushnick, a reporter who was on the receiving end of a defamation lawsuit after reporting on the alleged abuse over 30 years ago.

In an interview with Post Wrestling, attorney Greg Gutzler, who is representing the plaintiffs, had the following response.

“If you read the 81-page complaint, you are going to see multiple facts, myriad facts, dozens of facts that have nothing to do with Phil Mushnick. We had the fact that we had Mel Phillips, shuttling young boys in plain sight, in front of WWE executives and wrestlers, from state to state. You have him in plain sight staying in hotel rooms with young boys. You have in plain sight Mel Phillips engaging in sexual foot fetishes in the ring in front of people, in the locker room in front of wrestlers, and he was even provided his private dressing room in certain areas. You have the FBI videotape, where the FBI said — the behavioral science unit said — this is consistent with pedophilia and sexual foot fetishes.”

The lawsuit alleges that Phillips exploited and sexually abused underage boys who had been underage boys who had been hired to perform tasks at WWE events. The abuse allegedly occurred in various locations, including wrestling venues and hotel rooms, where Phillips would transport the boys under the pretense of work-related errands.

This is an ongoing situation and we aim to provide updates as and when they become publicly available.

Hulk Hogan On What Went Wrong With Chris Hemsworth-Starring Biopic

In early 2019, a biopic on the life and career of Hulk Hogan was announced, with Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers) attached to play the Hulkster. Despite Todd Phillips and Scott Silver (Joker) attached to write, years went by with little to no updates before the project was ultimately canceled this year.

On the PBD Podcast, Hogan spoke about his biopic and why the project fell through. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer, who has been endorsing Donald Trump as of late, pointed the finger of blame at Netflix, who were tied to distribute.

“They kind of missed a beat in the contract, you know, so Netflix screwed up. Yeah, there was a payment that wasn’t placed at the right time.”

Hogan added that the script was “amazing” and claimed Silver called it “the best thing I’ve ever written.” The wrestling icon even predicted that the film would’ve been a hit during awards season if it had seen the light of day.

“There was talk that Chris Hemsworth had never played a real person before and he would probably win an Oscar and the movie too; this thing’s so powerful.”

While Hulk Hogan’s biopic won’t be winning any awards, a biopic on his lawsuit against Gawker remains in the works, despite Hogan’s warning of a potential lawsuit. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Hulk Hogan and his involvement outside the squared circle.

Dominik Mysterio Shares Real-Life Wife’s Reaction To WWE Romances

Dominik Mysterio may have proven to be quite the lady’s man on WWE TV, but that isn’t a concern for his real-life wife. In 2022, Dominik began an on-screen romance with Rhea Ripley, only to betray his ‘Mami’ at this year’s SummerSlam. Nowadays, Mysterio can be found arm-in-arm with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, who has dubbed the multi-generational Superstar her ‘Daddy Dom.’

Off camera, Mysterio is happily married to his childhood sweetheart Marie Juliette, with the couple tying the knot in March of this year. On the Insight podcast, Mysterio shared his wife’s reaction to his on-screen dalliances.

“She’s cool with it surprisingly, yeah, she honestly been super cool. She’s my ride-or-die. We’ve been together since we were 14. So as long as I let her know ‘Hey, this is what’s going to go down,’ She’s like ‘Alright, cool.'”

Mysterio recalled Marie’s lack of reaction to him locking lips with Liv Morgan earlier this year, which demonstrates her lack of concern that her man is being ‘stolen.’

“After the kiss with Liv, her first text to me… she’s like ‘Dude, I found a tarantula in the garage!'”

Mysterio’s on-screen performances with Ripley and Morgan are just that, a performance, and Marie Juliette knows where Dirty Dom’s heart truly lies. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Monday Night Raw’s resident Cassanova, and his on-screen fling with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

Tony Schiavone On Samantha Irvin: AEW Already Has The Best Announcer

When Samantha Irvin announced her exit from WWE earlier this week, fans quickly speculated on a move to AEW, where her fiancé Ricochet is currently competing. Given that part of Irvin’s decision to leave stemmed from her family life, it makes sense for her to at least consider an AEW role, but Tony Schiavone doesn’t see it happening.

On his What Happened When podcast, Schiavone gave his thoughts on Irvin possibly being All Elite and argued that the popular announcer isn’t needed in the company.

“We already got the best ring announcer in the world with Justin Roberts. And Arkady Aura is a great ring announcer, who’s a great person and is doing a great job. [Samantha Irvin] ain’t coming here. I wouldn’t think. And of course, I’ve been wrong so many times, but why would we?”

Later on, though, Schiavone did acknowledge that wrestling is unpredictable and seemingly didn’t count out Irvin making a surprise debut for the promotion.

“I could show up tonight in Salt Lake City and there she could be.”

For what it’s worth, Ricochet has said that his fiancée doesn’t intend to join, and it’s been reported that Samantha wants to explore her opportunities outside of pro wrestling. While AEW could make a move to sign Irvin, it appears that an All-Elite arrival isn’t on the cards, though we know to never say never in the world of pro wrestling. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Samantha Irvin, and her moves both in and outside of wrestling.

First Match Announced Of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Retirement Tour

The retirement tour of Hiroshi Tanahashi will kick off this coming January at Wrestle Kingdom 19, New Japan has announced.

At New Japan Pro Wrestling’s King Of Pro Wrestling event in October 2024, Tanahashi announced that he would end his career on January 4, 2026, after competing for the promotion since 1999. Now, New Japan has confirmed that exactly one year before he hangs up his boots for good, Tananashi will start his farewell tour at Wrestle Kingdom 19 against Evil

From NJPW:

Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4 in the Tokyo Dome has gained its first official matchup, as Hiroshi Tanahashi will be battling EVIL.

At King of Pro-Wrestling on October 14, Tanahashi made the earth shattering announcement that he would be retiring on January 4 2026. That drew the ire of EVIL, who barked that he would be putting an end to the Ace much earlier. The King of Darkness interrupted Tanahashi’s retirement press conference to issue a challenge that has now been accepted for the Tokyo Dome. Will the retirement road for one of the greatest of all time be put to an end before it properly begins, or will Tanahashi’s last year in pro-wrestling begin with a high?

At a press conference earlier this month, Evil vowed to retire Tananahshi when they face off one year earlier than when the Japanese legend plans to retire from in-ring competition. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement tour and plans and matches for Wrestle Kingdom 19.

Damian Priest Teams With New York Yankees For World Series Hype Video

Damian Priest is one of the top WWE Superstars on Monday Night Raw, and 2024 has been a huge year for the former World Heavyweight Champion. Now, the Archer of Infamy has made a splash outside the squared circle by teaming up with the New York Yankees.

The New York Yankees released a hype video ahead of their World Series showdown against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Priest, who is a longtime fan of the team and has been an active supporter throughout the season, narrates the video.

Priest has been more open to projects outside WWE this year and signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency in April, mere days after his World Heavyweight Title win at WrestleMania 40. Other WWE names who have signed with the agency include Liv Morgan, Drew McIntyre, and Tiffany Stratton.

In September, Priest claimed he’d landed a major role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which was rumored to be that of the film’s antagonist Namor. Priest would explain that the role “got taken away from me, but not from Marvel” implying that WWE higher-ups had blocked this huge opportunity. Priest added that “the regime was a little bit different at the time” as the film was in the works during Vince McMahon’s era.

The role with the New York Yankees is a huge showcase for Priest who continues to be a force to be reckoned with on TV. Stay tuned for the latest from Damian Priest both in and out of the ring.

WWE’s Natalya Opens Up On Her Fight With Legal Blindness For Years

Since her debut on WWE’s main roster in 2008, Natalya has been a consistent performer in WWE’s women’s division, with singles and tag title reigns to her name. Now, the Hart Dungeon graduate has revealed that she spent much of her career legally blind in one eye, and how she overcame this disability.

Natalya was born with astigmatism and was legally blind in her left eye. The Canadian even discussed the issue during a 2015 taping of Total Divas, though her reveal was cut from the show’s broadcast. For years, Natalya tried to do what she could to correct her left eye, but to no avail.

“They didn’t have the technology to fix it,” she tells SI. “Didn’t qualify for LASIK because of how my eye was shaped. At that time, the procedure that they had for [a] lens implant, because of the shape of my eye, I didn’t qualify for it.”

The use of a contact lens in her eye left the veteran “see double” and she ultimately decided to take it out and “let my right eye do all the work.” This would be the case for years until this past summer when hope for her condition finally came about.

“I had a little time off this summer in between my contract re-signing. And I was like, if I had this time off, I’m going to ask WWE if I can get this fixed because I went and found an eye doctor.”

Natalya visited Newsom Eye in Tampa, which had cutting-edge technology that hadn’t been available previously. The procedure included an implant surgery which proved to be perfect for her damaged vision.

“They even strengthened my right eye. I had surgery in my right eye to get (it) even stronger so that my right eye (and) my left eye are totally in sync with each other.”

Three months after her previous match, Natalya returned to action on the September 9, Raw, fittingly in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. While the future remains unclear for the Queen of Harts, who has wrestled just twice since her emotional comeback, it’s a future that Natalya will see coming with perfect vision.
