  • Chris Jericho: I’m Not Bound by AEW Brawl NDA, Punk’s Lawyer is A Mark Who Should Shut Up

Chris Jericho could be prepared to spill the beans regarding what happened backstage at AEW All Out 2022, provided he is allowed.

At the September 2022 pay-per-view, CM Punk captured his second AEW World Championship, besting Jon Moxley in the show’s main event. After the show, Punk would shoot on several members of the AEW roster. Backstage, Punk, Ace Steel, The Elite, and others would participate in a backstage fight that resulted in all parties being suspended.

    Chris Jericho and the NDA

This week, it was reported that all those involved in the backstage fight at All Out 2022 were dealing with a non-disclosure agreement. The only exception, according to these reports, is Lucy Guy, the wife of Ace Steel, who was present at the backstage altercation. On Twitter, Chris Jericho claimed that he is not bound by an NDA, implying that he could soon speak about the backstage fight.

This comment caught the attention of Steve New, the legal representative of both Ace Steel and CM Punk. New claimed that Jericho will have some sort of NDA in his employee handbook unless he has a very special agreement with AEW. New also offered to comb over Jericho’s contract.

Jericho didn’t take too kindly to New’s comments. In a fiery response, Jericho claimed New was trying to be a bully and added that New “should shut your mark ass up.”

    Chris Jericho & the Brawl

Chris Jericho was one of the most vocal critics of CM Punk following what transpired last year in Chicago. Jericho called CM Punk a “cancer” following All Out, a comment that would be echoed by WWE’s Seth Rollins months later. Jericho would reportedly be part of a team that tried to prevent Punk’s return but the Chicago-Made wrestler was brought back in June of this year. After Punk’s firing from AEW in September, Jericho called Punk’s departure regrettable

UFC’s Dana White Giving Away Tickets for WWE WrestleMania 40

Dana White is feeling in a generous mood and is giving away tickets for the biggest WWE show of 2024: WrestleMania 40.

White is the President of UFC, which alongside WWE, makes up TKO Group Holdings. TKO was launched in September of this year and operates under the Endeavor banner. It was back in April that Endeavor announced that they would be acquiring WWE for the sum of $9.3 billion. Endeavor acquired UFC back in 2016.

    Dana White & WrestleMania

With WWE & UFC now both under the TKO Group umbrella, there has been speculation of a potential crossover between the two companies. While we’re yet to see talent from either promotion appear for the other, Dana White is now giving away tickets for next April’s WrestleMania 40. On Twitter, White shared that he would be giving away two tickets to the two-night event, as part of his 12 days of giveaways. The video was also shared by WWE’s own Twitter account.

    WWE WrestleMania 40

WWE WrestleMania 40 will take place on April 6, and April 7, marking the fifth two-night WrestleMania; a format that debuted during the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be the second WrestleMania to be hosted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, following on from WrestleMania 15 in 1999.

WWE has confirmed zero matches for WrestleMania 40 at this point. With that said, many have predicted that the show’s second night will be headlined by Cody Rhodes facing Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a rematch from their encounter at this year’s WrestleMania. WWE has reportedly been considering Jimmy Uso Vs. Jey Uso for WrestleMania 40, but suspect the wait may be too long and fans could lose interest in their storyline.

Spears currently competes for AEW, where he has been working since 2019. • WWE Speed matches to be featured on a new social media show

WWE Speed matches to be featured on a new social media show

Fans will be seeing the WWE Speed match feature on its own social media show if the promotion goes ahead with current plans.

Before the December 15, episode of SmackDown, WWE introduced the Speed Match. The match sees a five-minute time limit, meaning Superstars must work quickly to secure the win. SmackDown saw two ‘Speed Matches’ with ‘Big’ Bronson Reed facing NXT Superstar Nathan Frazer in the first. Later on, Cedric Alexander faced NXT’s Axiom.

Plans for the WWE Speed Match

Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick were on commentary for the WWE Speed matches, and the matches were filmed as if they’d be broadcast. Fightful Select was told by sources that the current plan is for the show to run on social media platforms if it is launched.

Many at the SmackDown taping were surprised by the match and had no idea the matches were happening until shortly before the show. So far, no new Speed matches have been filmed since the initial matches earlier this month.

    Another Potential Change?

WWE is introducing the Speed Match, but may have made a massive change to wrestling staple the ‘Steel Cage Match’. At WWE NXT Deadline, Roxanne Perez faced Kiana James in a cage match.

It was mentioned during the show that the match could be won only via pinfall or submission, removing the traditional rule of escaping the structure for victory. It’s currently unclear if this was a one-off change for this match or if this is how Steel Cage matches will go moving forward.

  • Grayson Waller Says WWE Tickets Should Cost More When He’s On the Card

Grayson Waller Says WWE Tickets Should Cost More When He’s On the Card

SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller thinks WWE ticket prices should be far higher, especially when he’s on the card.

Speaking to CW39, Waller was asked about his plans for the Holidays. The Australian admitted that he isn’t too bothered with this year’s festivities, but hopes to see prices for WWE tickets rise.

“I haven’t got my family here. I am not really doing Christmas this year so I wanna go out and I wanna fight. But I’m a little upset to be honest, I was looking and it’s 20 dollars to get a ticket. 20 dollars to see Grayson Waller. I’m a little bit offended. I feel that’s not much money. I think the prices need to go up. 20 dollars to see Grayson Waller, that’s a bit of a steal. I’m gonna have to make a call to Santa. I know some kids are gonna be asking for these tickets for Christmas.”

    What’s Next for Grayson Waller?

Waller recently competed in the U.S. Championship Contenders Tournament but was eliminated in the first round by Carmelo Hayes. Despite this, Waller is expected to have quite the 2024. In February, WWE will travel to Waller’s native Australia for the Elimination Chamber: Perth PLE. Waller’s tag team with Austin Theory is also expected to continue. The duo has impressed WWE officials who initially saw the pair has a short-term idea. Both Waller and Theory are expected to be ‘elevated’ ahead of WrestleMania 40

  • Mercedes Mone Teasing WWE Return on Social Media

Mercedes Mone Teasing WWE Return on Social Media

Could Mercedes Mone be laying the groundwork for her return to WWE, close to two years after her final appearance?

Mone, then Sasha Banks, walked out of WWE in May of 2022, alongside her then-tag-team partner Naomi. Mone would join New Japan at Wrestle Kingdom 18 and captured the IWGP Women’s Championship the next month. She has been out of action since May due to an injury.

    Teasing a WWE Return?

While Mone hasn’t appeared for WWE in 19 months, rumors persist that she could one day make a comeback. After all, several Superstars who were once deemed ‘never’ to make a WWE return did exactly that. This week, Mone added fuel to the speculation with her Instagram Stories. On social media, Mone shared photos of Funko POP! Vinyls, all of which are based on her Sasha Banks WWE tenure.

    Could Mercedes Mone Return?

Mone left WWE on bad terms, but a lot has changed within the promotion since the May 2022 walkout. Triple H now has significantly more influence than before which may help negotiations with the former IWGP Women’s Champion. Mone worked closely with the Game during his time as head of NXT and is said to have a good relationship with the DX/Evolution leader.

Contractually speaking, there are currently no obstacles that would block Mone from entering talks with WWE. Her contract with New Japan has expired and she has not signed with any other promotion yet. While Tony Khan has often shared his interest in bringing Mone in, the two sides have yet to reach a deal and it is unknown if there are any current plans to sign her.

  • Latest On the Departure of AEW’s VP Rafael Morffi: New Job, When He Told AEW of Exit

Latest On the Departure of AEW’s VP Rafael Morffi: New Job, When He Told AEW of Exit

More has come to light about the impending departure of Rafael Morffi, who is stepping down as AEW’s VP of Live Events/Touring.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Morffi will be leaving AEW after next week’s Worlds End pay-per-view. Morffi isn’t the only notable name set to leave, as AEW’s Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer Dana Massie is set to finish up with the company very soon.

    The Exit of Rafael Morffi

Morffi held the position of Vice President of Live Events/Touring since the formation of AEW and had many duties to his name. He was responsible for setting up the live event tours, booking buildings, local marketing and other logistical responsibilities and other roles.

Morffi informed AEW during their recent Montreal events that he would be finishing up with the company, PW Insider reports. Morffi has already accepted a senior executive position with the Barclays Center in New York City (where Morfi resides with his family) and will be splitting his duties between booking sports and entertainment events at the arena as well as working for the Brooklyn Nets’ owners. Being closer to his family and not being on the road constantly was one of the big reasons for Morffi’s decision to leave. The gist of things is that the Barclays Center gave him such a great offer he simply couldn’t say no.

Morffi is said to be well-liked within AEW and will be missed by those in the company. Morffi was the individual who brought the idea of hosting ‘Grand Slam’ events in Arthur Ashe Stadium to AEW.

Before joining AEW, Morffi worked with TNA Wrestling and House of Hardcore via his own ‘Signature Move Productions’ company. He also spent years working for WWE in regards to the promotion’s live events.

Rotunda passed away in August of medical issues at the age of 36. He had been pulled from WWE programming earlier this year. His passing came less than a year after his well-received return to the promotion at Extreme Rules 2022 in October.

    Bray Wyatt’s Cameo Role

Before his passing, Rotunda had been working on creating a movie with horror effects legend Jason Baker. The project was announced in 2021. Even after Wyatt’s return to WWE, Baker declared that the project was still in the works. Baker is the owner of Callosum Studios, which includes horror effects legend Tom Savini as a consultant. Callosum has helped create masks for WWE talent including Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Retribution, the Bludgeon Brothers, Carmella, Nikki A.S.H, and the Fiend, and also designed Alexa Bliss’ Lilly doll.

  • Katsuyori Shibata is All-Elite: Japanese Star Signs with “Wonderful” AEW

Fans can expect to see plenty more of Katsuyori Shibata in All Elite Wrestling now that the Japanese wrestler is officially All-Elite.

On Twitter, AEW President Tony Khan broke the news of Shibata’s signing and described Shibata as one of the greatest fighters and champions ever in wrestling. Khan also shared a letter from Shibata himself in which the new signing spoke about joining the “wonderful” AEW.

    Dear Tony Khan,

Today, I have signed the contract with AEW under a permission from New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

In the past year, I worked for AEW/ROH and I learned how wonderful the AEW is.

This is the best environment where wrestlers can focus only on fighting in the ring.

And the love for professional wrestling is overflowing from Tony and all the people who work for him.

I want to make AEW’s ring the last end point of The Wrestler’s career. I dedicate my wrestler life to Tony Khan, and AEW

    Thank you

    Katsuyori Shibata

Shibata first appeared for AEW at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door in June 2022, saving Orange Cassidy from a beatdown by the United Empire. Shibata would save Cassidy again later that year. In November, Shibata challenged Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship but was unsuccessful

In March of this year, Shibata made his ROH debut and defeated Wheeler Yuta at Supercard of Honor to win the ROH Pure Championship. Shibata retained the title on the June 2, 2023, edition of Rampage against Lee Moriarty. He dropped the title back to Yuta last month on AEW Rampage.

  • Hornswoggle Thought He Was Being Pranked When WWE Called with An Offer

Dylan ‘Hornswoggle’ Postl was very suspicious when WWE called him with an offer, especially considering how bad his audition went.

Postl debuted on WWE’s main roster in 2006 as a ‘Leprechaun’ that would often aid Fit Finlay. The following year, Hornswoggle would win the Cruiserweight Championship and was the final champion before the title was reintroduced in 2016.

    Hornswoggle Makes it to WWE

Postl would become a household name thanks to his tenure with WWE, but his journey to being a Superstar wasn’t easy. During the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Postl recalled his woeful audition.

“WWE I always say they were looking for a person like me but now I can just say, WWE was looking for a midget. They were trying out midgets to be Finlay’s Leprechaun. It just wasn’t happening. Then Ken [Anderson] said to Fit, he goes, ‘Hey I got the guy. He’s good hearted, he’s a good kid, he can take bumps,’ All of this. They try me out in Green Bay actually.

“There was a Smackdown taping in Green Bay. They pulled me in to the promo room with Fit, asked me to do a Irish accent, I failed miserably. So much so that I remember, I don’t know if Fit even remembers. We walked out, I go, ‘oh man how did that go,’ He goes ‘Huh, not very well.’”

With his audition being a dud, Postl wasn’t expecting to hear anything from WWE. That is why he was in no hurry to answer the call that would ultimately change his life.

“I didn’t expect to hear back. Two weeks later a blocked number came up on my phone three or four times in the morning, about 8- 9 in the morning and I kept sending it to the voicemail because I was like ‘I’m not paying this credit card company that wants my money, not happening.’ Then finally, there’s a voicemail, [It says] ‘Dylan this is Tommy Dreamer. We want to give you a lot of money and hire you. We want to give you a contract, please call me back.’

“And I was like ‘Someone’s f***ing with me.’ A, Because they’ll never hire me and B, Because no one talks in such a monotone voice for a whole voicemail, a whole minute and a half voicemail. No one talks in, ‘Dylan call me back please, this is Tommy Dreamer.’ No one also would introduce himself in an office position as ECW’s Tommy Dreamer. None of this shit matched up, I was like ‘Someone is f***ing with me.’

“So finally I give him a call and he goes, ‘Oh you decided to call me back, that’s good. We’re gonna pull you to TV, you’re going to start as Finlay’s Leprechaun, I guess.’ [Then] it was literally off to the races, three weeks later, I’m travelling to the Philippines.”

Postl would remain with WWE until 2016. He would make a one-off return in 2018 for that year’s Greatest Royal Rumble match. He would also appear during the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Which former WWE Superstar helped Postl after his release from the company in 2016? Click here to find out.

  • Charlotte Flair On Crutches at CMLL Event Supporting Andrade El Idolo

Charlotte Flair On Crutches at CMLL Event Supporting Andrade El Idolo

WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair wasn’t going to let her recent injury stop her from supporting her husband Andrade El Idolo at a CMLL event.

During the latter part of her December 9 match with Asuka, Flair was hurt and was seen being tended to by WWE’s medical crew after the match. The injury happened when Flair came off the top rope at an awkward angle and her legs bounced off the ropes. Despite this, Flair was able to finish the match that saw Asuka get the victory.

    Charlotte Flair at CMLL

While Flair won’t be competing for the foreseeable future, she recently made the trip to CMLL. Flair was there to support Andrade, who teamed with Espanto Jr. and Brillante Jr. to take on Volador Jr., Magnus, and Magia Blanca. On Twitter, CMLL brought awareness to Flair being at the show.

Flair’s arrival was also captured on camera. The former Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Champion was seen arriving on crutches to her seats to a response from the fans in attendance.

    What’s Next for Charlotte Flair?

While Flair was injured earlier this month, she won’t be having surgery until next month. Flair is expected to miss nine months of action. This would put Flair’s return window at some time in October 2024. This is a massive setback for Flair, who will miss next month’s Royal Rumble event, WrestleMania 40, and SummerSlam 2024. It had also been rumored that Flair was going to be Jade Cargill’s first opponent in WWE and if so, those plans will have to be changed.

Sour Grapes, Orton Hugs & a Rising Phoenix: Cathy Kelley & Kevin Owens Have A New Show

Cathy Kelley and Kevin Owens have both appeared on WWE programming countless times, and now the pair have their own show.

On YouTube, WWE shared the first episode of the new show, which is yet to receive a name. Naming the show was quite the talking point among the pair with Kelley rejecting Owens’ suggestion of ‘Rising Phoenix.’ Mia Yim, who was nearby also had a less than favorable response to the name. Owens admitted that the name was one of the worst ideas he’s had, and said he was ‘inspired’ by a wall at the arena.

The duo also discussed the Australian-ness of Grayson Waller and the merits of seedless grapes against their seeded equivalents. The pair also discussed the recent return of Randy Orton and while Owens did not hug the Viper, Kelley made sure to give him a warm embrace.

    What’s Next?

When not presenting this yet-to-be-named show, Owens can be found competing on WWE SmackDown. The former Universal Champion is currently in the United States Championship Contenders Tournament. Owens defeated Austin Theory in the first round of the tournament, and will face Carmelo Hayes on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Finlay is a fourth-generation wrestler, with his father being the well-respected Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay. The elder Finlay joined WWE in 2001 following the demise of WCW and is a former WWE United States Champion. Brogan’s grandfather David Sr. and great-grandfather also fought during their respective eras.

Brogan isn’t the only Finlay of his generation to be active in the ring. His brother David Finlay III is signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling and is the seventh and current leader of the Bullet Club. He is also a former NEVER Openweight Champion.

    Brogan Finlay in the Ring

Brogan Finlay made his in-ring debut in June 2021 with a victory over Chris Dickinson at a Beyond Project Dolphin event. While he is a relative newcomer to the wrestling industry, Finlay has competed in multiple promotions. The fourth-generation wrestler has already competed for GCW, New Japan, Wrestling Revolver, Black Label Pro, and Blitzkrieg! Pro to name just a few companies. Finlay’s most recent match took place at Game Changer Wrestling’s Si or No? event last month. Brogan lost to Tony Deppen at the event.

  • The Mustafa Ali World Tour Has Begun: Ex-Superstar Set for DEFY, PROGRESS, GCW & More

Mustafa Ali is no longer bound by his non-compete clause with WWE, and the former Superstar is ready to embark on a world wrestling tour.

Ali was one of several Superstars released from WWE in September of this year. These cuts marked the first releases of talent following the launch of TKO Group Holdings. Before his release, there were plans for Ali to win the NXT North American Championship and his exit was a surprise to NXT head Shawn Michaels.

    The Mustafa Ali World Tour

Earlier this week, Ali teased big plans for his free agency and the former Superstar is certainly living up to the hype. Taking to Twitter, Ali shared a political campaign-inspired video, announcing that his ‘World Tour’ has begun.

Following Ali’s campaign video, announcements flooded social media about the ex-Superstar’s future plans. Ali will be part of GCW’s No Compadre event on January 12, where he will face Gringo Loco.

As the name suggests, Mustafa Ali’s World Tour won’t be confined to solely the United States. Ali will travel to Ottawa, Canada, on January 19, to compete for C4 Wrestling.

Fans wanting to see Mustafa Ali in the United Kingdom won’t have to wait long at all. Ali will make his UK independent debut at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Light of the Dragon event on January 28.

Ali will also be stopping at DEFY Wrestling on his campaign trail. The Retribution leader will be part of an event with DEFY on February 9, in Seattle, Washington.

Just one day after his appearance for DEFY, Ali will be a part of DREAMWAVE Wrestling’s ‘Run This Town’ event. Ali will challenge for the Dreamwave Alternative Title in a 4 Man Scramble that will include Penta El Zero Miedo, Gringo Loco, and champion El Hijo Del Vikingo.

Mustafa Ali will also be part of Prestige Wrestling’s event on February 25. He will face ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey at the event that will include Tiger Mask, Jordynne Grace, and Mascara Dorada on the card.

  • Satnam Singh: We Are Planning on Bringing AEW to India

Satnam Singh: We Are Planning on Bringing AEW to India

AEW has plans to take their brand of professional wrestling across the world to India, according to Satnam Singh.

Since launching in 2019, AEW has mostly kept itself within the United States. In October 2022, AEW hosted its first events in Canada which also saw the debut of Renee Paquette. Earlier this year, AEW traveled outside of North America for AEW All In. The UK-based show was a huge success with a second event scheduled for next year.

    AEW’s Coming to India

AEW is making its name across the globe and it appears India is in the sights of Tony Khan. Speaking to the Hindustan Times, Satnam Singh was asked about his AEW career and revealed plans for the promotion to travel to India.

“I have signed with AEW now, and I stay with them always. Every week we travel and we have matches also. We are planning to bring AEW to India and expose it here so that the people in this country know what it is. This is important.

“The youth should know that something can be done with wrestling too. Children need to find something, analyse your health and power, and see what you can do. It is not important that you need to do sports, study, become a businessman, very important.”

Satnam Singh on a Potential Basketball Return

Before wrestling, Singh competed in basketball but was handed a two-year ban handed by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after a positive test. While his ban is a thing of the past, a return to the court isn’t in Singh’s future.

“No comeback plans. I don’t have any plan to come back there after whatever happened to me, I am done. I am focussed in wrestling right now.”

Singh’s most recent match saw himself, Jeff Jarrett, and Jay Lethal lose to The Acclaimed at AEW All Out 2023.

  • JD McDonagh Looking to Appeal ‘Loser Leaves Judgment Day’ Defeat with NXT Lawyer

JD McDonagh Looking to Appeal ‘Loser Leaves Judgment Day’ Defeat with NXT Lawyer

JD McDonagh is ready to fight for his place back in the Judgment Day and has enlisted the help of a WWE NXT Superstar.

On this week’s Raw, McDonagh faced R-Truth, who continues to believe that he is an official member of the faction. Ahead of their ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ Fight, it was decided that this match would see the loser be kicked out of the Judgment Day. While the faction hoped that this would be the last time they’d have to deal with Truth, the former 24/7 Champion won the match after putting McDonagh through a table. This was an especially tough loss for McDonagh who had spent months trying to earn an official spot in the faction.

    JD McDonagh’s Appeal

McDonagh may be out of the Judgment Day, but he’s not going to be kicked out without a fight. On Twitter, NXT Superstar Luca Crisfino Esq. shared an official appeal from his legal offices. Crusifino will be representing McDonagh and tagged WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce in the tweet.

The litigation refers to Truth’s hand being under McDonagh’s shoulder when the pinfall was made. This should, according to Crusifino, should result in the pinfall being declared null and void. Pearce has seven days to respond to this litigation.

Crusifino joined WWE earlier this year and has showcased his lawyer character as part of the WWE NXT brand. On this week’s episode of the gold brand, Crusifino competed in the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament. He would lose to Taivon Heights who advanced to the next round where he will face Oba Femi.

  • QT Marshall Already Finished with AEW, Not Been at Events in Weeks

The AEW tenure of QT Marshall has already come to an end, despite some time remaining on his contract with the All-Elite promotion.

In November, Marshall announced that he was going to resign from AEW and that his time with the company would run through the end of this year.  Marshall had worked both on-screen as part of the QTV faction in addition to working behind the scenes. Marshall had reportedly felt frustrated within AEW, and felt like he wasn’t being used on screen effectively nor was he being positioned to be a wrestling store. Those in AEW told SEScoops that people understand his decision to move on and appreciate his contributions.

    QT Marshall is Already Finished

Sources within AEW have confirmed to Fightful Select that Marshall has effectively finished his time with the company already. Marshall has not been at AEW shows in weeks after giving his notice months ago. Marshall had signed a short-term extension through the end of the year.

    What’s Next for QT Marshall?

Marshall is gone from AEW, but it may not be long before we see him back in the ring. MLW has had its eye on Marshall, who they feel would be greatly beneficial to the company’s future. Marshall would likely factor into plans for a complete overhaul of the promotion’s ‘front office.’

Marshall, alongside Cody Rhodes, recently filed a trademark for Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, the promotion founded by Dusty Rhodes. While it is unclear if the duo plans to resurrect the promotion, Marshall has been adamant that he wants to perform in-ring while he was in his prime.

  • Nick Hogan Pleads Not Guilty, Tammy Sytch Moved to Prison After Conviction

Nick Hogan Pleads Not Guilty, Tammy Sytch Moved to Prison After Conviction

Nick Hogan, the son of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, has pleaded not guilty to the recent speeding arrest.

At an arraignment this week, Hogan, real name Nick Bollea, pleaded not guilty to the DUI misdemeanor. There will be a pre-trial hearing on January 17, 2024. Nick was arrested on the morning of November 18 in Clearwater, Florida. He reportedly refused to enter a breathalyzer test when taken into custody.

Nick never followed his father by becoming a wrestler, but has appeared on TV several times. Nick was often seen on the Hogan Knows Best reality series that ran for multiple seasons on VH-1 as well as on WWE programming from time to time.

Nick Hogan has had previous issues with the law. In August 2007, Hogan was involved in a car crash in which he crashed into a tree while driving under the influence. This crash came just 16 days after Hogan’s fourth speeding ticket within 11 months. The passenger in the vehicle, John Graziano, suffered massive brain damage due to the crash.

    Tammy Sytch Update

Last month, Tammy ‘Sunny Sytch was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison, plus another eight years on probation. Sytch was convicted of DUI Manslaughter for her role in the death of Julian Lasseter in early 2022. This week, Sytch was transferred from Volusia County Corrections to a prison facility in Ocala, Florida.

The disgraced WWE Hall of Famer is still facing a lawsuit filed by the estate of Julian Lasseter. Sytch laughed and sobbed in court as she was handed her 17-year sentence. If the time is served in full, Sytch will be 68 years old by the time she leaves prison.

  • Judge Recommends Bizarre Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon for Dismissal

Judge Recommends Bizarre Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon for Dismissal

A strange lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon and WWE is expected to be dismissed after a recommendation by a United States District Court.

In August, Dana Wiley filed a lawsuit against WWE over an alleged meet-up with Alexa Bliss. The suit alleges that WWE failed to reimburse a $5,500 “down payment for a meet-up arranged via email correspondence, to personally meet World Wrestling Entertainment employee Alexa Bliss” on June 30.

The handwritten lawsuit also alleges that Vince McMahon breached an agreement with Wiley in which he would become a WWE employee. Wiley, who is currently incarcerated due to an attempted homicide, claims that McMahon had agreed to pay him $70,000 a month.

    Recommended for Dismissal

In a filing this month, United States Magistrate Judge Patricia L. Dodge stated that Wiley’s lawsuit was “incredible and improbably.” Judge Dodge adds that the suggestion that Wiley would be paid a total of $840,000 a year is “far-fetched at best” especially given his incarceration.

The statement adds that much of the terms of Wiley’s alleged contract with WWE are “indecipherable.” Judge Dodge ends by stating that the plaintiff’s complaint should be dismissed.

    Wiley’s Previous Lawsuit

This is hardly the first time Wiley has filed litigation against WWE. He has previously sued Vince McMahon, members of D-Generation X, and the NWO, claiming that he had signed a fair use contract for those groups’ trademarks which McMahon and the others did not acknowledge.

Wiley claimed he signed the contract on the steps of a New Castle, Pennsylvania, courthouse after being sentenced “in an unrelated criminal case.” He also claimed that he signed this contract in 1995, a year before the NWO debuted in WCW and two years before Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Rick Rude & Chyna would form DX. The lawsuit was later dismissed.

  • MVP Has Eyes on Kang the Conqueror Role After Jonathan Majors’ Marvel Firing

MVP Has Eyes on Kang the Conqueror Role After Jonathan Majors’ Marvel Firing

Could WWE’s MVP be ready to take the Marvel Cinematic Universe by storm as the villainous Kang the Conqueror? The former champion is open to the idea.

This week, Marvel fired actor Jonathan Majors, who had portrayed Kang in Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania and was set to reprise the role in future projects. Kang, a time traveler with many ‘variants’ bent on conquering all universes, was set to be the next big villain of the MCU following the destruction of Thanos in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame

Majors was fired after being found guilty of assaulting his girlfriend and Marvel has cut ties with him. With the future of Kang uncertain, fans have been left wondering who will step into the significant role should Marvel continue with its plans. On Twitter, MVP made it clear he’s open to the role.

    WWE & Marvel

While MVP is unlikely to be picked for the role, the worlds of WWE and Marvel have collided in the past. Batista’s role as Drax the Destroyer helped propel his profile in Hollywood though the Animal has said he hopes to portray DC Comics villain Bane one day

Seth Rollins will portray a villainous role in Captain America: Brave New World, which is set for a 2025 release. Becky Lynch filmed a post-credits scene for 2020’s Eternals but the scene was reportedly cut for being too depressing.

    MVP Outside of the Ring

While MVP is best known for his time in the ring, the former WWE U.S. Champion does have an acting credit to his name. MVP played Vernon Freedom in 2010’s MacGruber, a comedy starring Will Forte and Kristen Wiig which also featured Chris Jericho, The Great Khali, Big Show, Mark Henry, and Kane.

MVP has also performed music in the past and released his first hip-hop song titled “Holla to da World” featuring Dwayne Swayze in June 2011. On March 18, 2013, he released his second song entitled “Tokyo” while “Return of the Ronin”, which became MVP’s TNA theme, was released in January 2014.
