Shane books Jericho in a match against Owens tonight, but then AJ Styles comes out to interrupt. Jericho goes to add Styles to The List, but then Kevin Owens interrupts. Owens says Shane, AJ and Jericho arguing about things that don’t matter is the most pathetic thing he’s seen in his career. Owens says the only thing that matters tonight is he takes back what’s rightfully his tonight: The U.S. Title. AJ has had enough and charges Owens on the ramp and starts pummeling on him. Referees start to pull AJ off of him but AJ keeps stomping on him. Shane runs down and gets in the middle of them, then we cut to a graphic promoting the Women’s match later tonight.

Bayley fires up and hits the Snake Eyes on Alexa in the corner, then a vertical suplex. Bayley follows up with running elbows and clotheslines. Bayley follows up with a side suplex for a near-fall. Bayley goes for the belly to belly suplex but Alexa fights out. Things go up to the top turnbuckle where Bayley attempts another belly to belly suplex, but Alexa reverses with a sunset flip powerbomb. Alexa goes for a standing moonsault but Bayley blocks it then comes back with a flying elbow off the top for a near-fall. Alexa slaps Bayley which gets Bayley fired up and she hits a series of punches and kicks on the challenger. Bliss trips Alexa into the ring post and the referee tries to stop Alexa to check on Bayley. Bayley goes for a last-ditch small package pin, but Alexa gets out and hits a DDT on Bayley for the win. Alexa grabs her new Women’s Title and heads to the back with.

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt – Part 1: This one will apparently start in the “House of Horrors,” then will return to the arena and finish in the ring. Randy Orton pulls up in a limo to a house lit up in blue lighting with black lights. We see a tractor rolling by with no one driving it, and Orton looks concerned. This is directed very similarly to a TV horror movie. Orton cautiously walks into the house and the camera quickly cuts to several weapons in the house. Wyatt comes form behind and starts beating down Orton and talking trash to him. Wyatt leaves the room and allows Orton to recover. Orton starts walking down a hall and an arm comes out from a wall and grabs him by the throat, but Orton fights the arm off. Orton walks into a room with dolls hanging from the ceiling by strings, with more quick camera cuts and crying baby sound effects. Wyatt comes back in the picture and jumps Orton from behind, but Orton fights him off and Wyatt disappears again. Orton goes into the kitchen where he and Bray start brawling again, but this time Orton gets the better of him and pummels him on the floor. Orton grabs a frying pan as a weapon but Wyatt low-blows Orton before he can use the pan. Wyatt pushes the fridge ontop of Orton then starts walking outside. Wyatt falls to his knees and the lights on the house turn from blue to red. Wyatt gets in Orton’s limo and leaves, then we cut back to Cole, Graves and Booker T who are speechless. The announcers inform us that we’re now going to Joe vs. Rollins, and they’ll update us on the status of Wyatt and Orton.

Seth Rollins def. Samoa Joe: Competitive action in the ring early on that quickly goes out to ringside. Rollins hits a knee to the face on Joe at ringside, then gets back in the ring and hits a suicide dive onto Joe on the floor. Rollins gets back in the ring and hits a second suicide dive on Joe. Back in the ring, Rollins and Joe start trading strikes until Joe kicks out Rollins’ knee. Rollins rolls outside and Joe hits a suicide dive on him. Back in the ring, Joe focuses in on Rollins’ bad knee and hits a senton splash onto his knee. Joe and Rollins trade chops to the chest before Joe levels him with a splash and Pele kick. Rollins tries to fire up but Joe goes right back to the knee and puts Rollins in a knee bar. Rollins starts coming back again and goes up to the top rope with Joe. Rollins slides out from under Joe and appears to be going for a powerbomb, but Joe gets out. Rollins is able to pull off a Falcon Arrow on Joe, then Rollins goes back up to the top turnbuckle. Rollins hits a frogsplash off the top but he isn’t able to immediately pin and Joe kicks out at two. Joe puts Rollins back down with a stiff lariat and puts him in a sleeper. Joe looks to be going to transition into the Coquina Clutch, but Rollins flips Joe over and lays on him to pin for the win. On the replay Joe’s shoulder appears to be noticeably off the mat, but there’s no call.

Bray Wyatt def. Randy Orton – Part 2: Wyatt pulls up to the arena in the limo and starts walking towards the entrance ramp. Cole informs us that the match must finish in the ring. Wyatt finishes his entrance and the lights go out. When the lights come back on, Orton is in the ring and he’s got a steel chair. Orton lays out Wyatt with the chair and Wyatt falls out to ringside. Orton slams Wyatt onto the announce table then DDTs him off of it onto the floor. Orton hits Bray with the chair again then puts him back in the ring. Orton appears to be setting up for an RKO, but the Bollywood Boys run in and start attacking Orton. Orton fights them off, then fights off Bray and hits an RKO. Before Orton can pin, Jinder Mahal runs in and smashes Orton in the back of the head with the Title belt. Orton gets to his feet and Jinder nails him with it again. Bray Wyatt hits the Sister Abigail and pins Orton for the win, as Jinder escapes with the WWE Title belt once again. Bray briefly celebrates his win the ring and then we cut to a commercial for The Resurrection Of Gavin Stone.

Braun Strowman def. Roman Reigns: Roman starts off strong against Braun, but Braun comes back when he blocks a Drive By and tosses Roman into the fan barricade. Braun continues beating Roman down at ringside, then takes Reigns back in the ring for more punishment. Reigns starts to fight back with clotheslines and uppercuts and takes things outside. Reigns hits the Drive By on Strowman, then pushes Strowman into the ring post. Reigns rolls back in the ring, and Strowman rolls back in at the referee’s 9 count. Reigns hits a spear but Strowman kicks out at two. Strowman comes back with a running powerslam on Reigns but Reigns gets his shoulder up at 2, and Strowman is in disbelief. Strowman hits a second running powerslam, and this time it scores him the three count for the win. After the match, Cole puts over that Reigns is working injured, and then Strowman grabs the steel ring steps from ringside. Braun sets up the steps in the ring as the crowd chants “Thank you Strowman.” Braun drops Reigns face-first onto the steps, then he picks up the steps above his head and slams the steps down onto Reigns’ motionless body. Fit Finlay comes out to chase off Strowman and Roman appears to be bleeding from the mouth. Finlay and some referees help to walk Reigns backstage. We see Reigns walk backstage still selling his injury. Reigns sits in an ambulance, but then Braun Stroman comes out of nowhere charging at Reigns. Reigns dodges the attack and Braun crashes through the ambulance door. Strowman falls into some boxes and Reigns hits him a few times for good measure.

  • Vince McMahon Biopic: Full Details On Who’s In It, What’s Covered & More

Vince McMahon Biopic: Full Details On Who’s In It, What’s Covered & More

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has an incredible life story. McMahon rose to fame by changing the wrestling industry and becoming a billionaire in the process, now a film about his life is officially in the works. Sony’s TriStar is reportedly in talks to pick up the screenplay, and the film will be called Pandemonium.

Ex-WWE writers Alex Greenfield and Court Bauer recently got a hold of the screenplay for Vince’s upcoming biopic, and shared some exclusive details on what’s in store on their MLWRadio podcast. They note that the film starts in 1969 and focuses on McMahon’s career until the end of the federal trial in New York in the 90’s.

We highly recommend you head over to MLWRadio.com and sign up for their VIP service to hear this VIP podcast. If you’re familiar with MLW Radio, Bruce Prichard’s Something to Wrestle or the Jim Cornette Experience, you know MLW delivers some of the best podcasts around. Going VIP gets you access to a ton more additional podcasts / hotlines.

Here’s a recap of some of the material covered in the MLW podcast:

    The First Scene

The movie reportedly opens up with Vince in his 20’s, with his car breaking down while he’s on the way to work for his father. For those who read Vince’s now-rare 1999 Playboy interview, you may remember his stories of growing up without indoor plumbing in North Carolina, almost being beaten to death by his step-father, being exposed to sex very early in life, and later working crushing rocks for 90 hours a week. This film reportedly won’t cover those younger years. The script does reportedly touch on Vince working selling plastic/paper cups, which was a job he despised, prior to entering the wrestling business.

    Who’s In It

A key part of the script is Vince getting his first job in wrestling from his father, Vince Sr., who is featured several times. Wrestlers who appear in the script include The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, The Iron Sheik, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Gorilla Monsoon, Verne Gange, King Kong Bundy, and more. There are reportedly scenes featuring NWA meetings, Ted Turner, the Crocketts, and several other names from the old wrestling territory days.

    Style & Accuracy

There appears to be some “movie magic” at work in the script as far as accuracy goes. Some historical facts have been changed for the script, such as his wife Linda’s history. For example, the movie has Linda working in a bar, but in real-life she worked as a paralegal at the time. The film reportedly portrays Linda as having a similar creative role and approach as Vince, when in actuality she mostly worked in the offices in an executive role. Linda’s personality is also portrayed in a way that Greenfield & Bauer feel the McMahons likely won’t sign off on.

The script reportedly admits that it strays from the truth, at one point breaking the fourth wall to admit that it’s as real as pro wrestling. Greenfield and Baurer said the script leans more towards Ready To Rumble than The Wrestler in terms of tone, but not “as silly” as Ready To Rumble. They also compare the script to “a poor man’s version of The People vs. Larry Flynt.”

The film follows McMahon trying to recruit his cast of characters for his promotion, especially Hulk Hogan. Hogan is portrayed as a guy who wasn’t properly trained prior to the WWF, with some of the WWF stars breaking him in correctly. There is a Hogan sex-scene where he isseen holding a video camera. The script also has Vince instructing Hogan to start taking performance enhancing drugs.

Vince’s character is portrayed as being resentful of his father, when in actuality he held Vince Sr. in high regard. Vince Sr. also lives later in the movie timeline than he did in real life.

Greenfield and Bauer also noted there’s a scene of Gorilla Monson watching VHS tapes of his old matches from before there was tape of them. Gorilla is portrayed as an antagonist of Vince in act 2, which was not the case in real life. Jim Crockett is also portrayed as an antagonist late into the film, when in actuality he had been bought out by that time and was a consultant.

Greenfield and Bauer both felt that Vince’s life story would be better told in a Boardwalk Empire or Sopranos-like series.

The Second Act & The Monday Night Wars

The second act of the movie is about the WWF’s rise to success. This part of the script shows montages of steroid use and big name stars. There are also scenes of Vince doing recreational drugs, and working on the No Holds Barred movie for Hogan. This is also around the time when a relationship between Vince and Ted Turner is loosely established, and Ted is also seen working with the Crocketts. The Monday Night Wars are covered “very quickly” in the film, with Vince’s triumph over his top competitor being treated as an afterthought. Greenfield and Bauer feel that some of Vince’s dialogue and behavior in the second act started becoming too unrealistic. This is also where WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt is introduced as a character.

The Final Act & The Steroid Trial

The third act of the script focuses on McMahon’s federal trial for steroid charges, the No Holds Barred movie, and WCW raiding WWF talent. Vince’s neck brace at the trial wasn’t mentioned in the script. Greenfield and Bauer noted that there was a lot of information to be crammed into the trial scenes, and that the trial and the Attitude Era seemed rushed. Vince’s business suffered a downturn in the early and mid 90s, which also wasn’t covered. The third act reportedly features a lengthy montage, and Vince McMahon interacting with Stacy Keibler to close out the film.

    Script & Production

This is very likely not the last draft of the script, and there are several things the McMahons may not sign off on. There’s a possible Hollywood writers strike on the horizon next week, and studios are reportedly putting together material already ready-to-shoot in the event of a strike. If the script is finalized quickly, shooting could begin this summer, and the film could be released before Fall 2018.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who direct and produce NBC’s This Is Us, are in talks to direct the project. Craig A. Williams wrote the script, and Andrew Lazar, who produced American Sniper, is producing. Also producing are Michael Luisi of WWE Studios, and Aperture Entertainment’s Adam Goldworm. Charlie Gogolak of Zaftig Films will executive produce.

Vin Diesel Reportedly Says He Would Beat The Rock In A Real Fight

Vin Diesel reportedly thinks he has what it takes to go one-on-one with The Great One. In a recent TMZ interview, UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley recalled Diesel approaching him to say that he could hold his own against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Woodley had previously made a comment that he would choose The Rock over Vin in a hypothetical one-on-one fight, but Diesel objected.

“Vin Diesel yelled at me yesterday at the party because I said in a fight versus him and The Rock, I gave it to The Rock,” Woodley told TMZ. “So he pulled up on me and said ‘come on man, I would flex on The Rock.’”

Diesel and the former WWF Champion are co-stars in the Fast & Furious franchise. Universal is reportedly planning a spinoff of the franchise that will focus on the characters of Johnson and Jason Statham.

Ambrose says he’s rooting for Jericho in his match against Owens on Sunday, despite Ambrose’s history with Jericho. Jericho reminds Ambrose that he still owes him $15,000 for ruining his jacket. Ambrose says he doesn’t have the cash because he lost it playing blackjack, but he has a gift for Jericho. Ambrose presents Jericho with a jacket with Christmas lights stapled to it. Jericho looks like he’s about to try it on, but The Miz interrupts and says the jacket looks horrible. Jericho tries it on anyways, and The Miz cuts a promo on him and Ambrose. – Emma approaches Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox in the locker room and stirs up some drama between them. Alicia gets in Dana’s face then walks off.

Hardy hits a missile dropkick off the top onto Cesaro that sends Cesaro out to ringside. Back in the ring, Hardy hits the Whisper In The Wind on Cesaro for a two count. Cesaro dodges a dropkick and attempts a Neutralizer, but Jeff escapes and hits the Twist of Fate. Jeff goes up to the top rope and hits the Swanton Bomb for the win. The Hardy brothers shake hands with Cesaro and Sheamus before they go backstage.

    – Heath Slater and Rhyno are doing an interview backstage when Braun Strowman walks by and they get spooked. We see Big Show walking elsewhere in the arena, and his match with Strowman is up next.

Braun Strowman vs. The Big Show – No Contest: Strowman charges at Big Show during his entrance and they brawl around ringside. They finally get in the ring and the opening bell rings. Jake Roberts On Roman Reigns: “The Masses Want To Hate Him, Let Them Hate” (Video)

While at Florida Supercon Retro in Miami, FL this weekend, Jake “The Snake” Roberts was interviewed by The Roman Show on YouTube. Roberts performed as both both a face and a heel during his career, and he discussed Roman Reigns’ heat on RAW and thinks WWE should embrace it.

“Enjoy it — I mean, why in God’s name would you try to change what the masses want?” Roberts asked. “The masses want to the hate the guy, let them hate.”

Roberts is the second WWE Hall of Famer this week to suggest that WWE makes Reigns one of their top heels. In an interview with Washington’s Top News, recent H.O.F. inductee Kurt Angle stated that if the fans don’t embrace Reigns soon, WWE should look into turning him full heel.

Justin Roberts Says He Was Blindsided By The Pitfalls Of WWE, Talks JBL/Mauro

Former WWE announcer Justin Roberts says that he was “completely blindsided” by the pitfalls of working for the biggest wrestling company in the world. In a recent interview with PressBox, Roberts recalled that he had heard about some performers’ reputations, but didn’t realize what the “culture” in WWE would be like. Roberts says that WWE management neglected to try resolving his issues with JBL, and even encouraged and stood behind the alleged bullying.

“[WWE management] enjoyed hearing the stories of what went on,” Roberts said of his backstage issues. “At that point, I knew that’s just how it is; there’s nothing I can do about it. So do I want to leave and be away from it, or since I worked so hard to get here, do I want to make the most of it and hope that eventually it.”

When asked about the media coverage of Mauro Ranallo’s alleged issues with JBL, Roberts indicated that his autobiography might be partly responsible. In his autobiography, Roberts recalled several unpleasant experiences with JBL.

“There’s speculation about what happened, and then at the same time, this book — which covers a lot of positive things, as well — has the story about JBL from 2003, which is a long time ago, but it had never been told,” Roberts said. “Everybody has heard JBL bullying stories, but now that this book has come out and people read about the type of stuff that went on, I think it gives them more of an idea that this could be a real thing.”

  • Booker T On JBL Bullying Stories: “Bullying Goes Away When You’re A Grown Man”

Booker T recently discussed the alleged situation between JBL and Mauro Ranallo on his Heated Conversations radio show and the “fire JBL” chants on SmackDown. Booker said that a lot of people love and respect Mauro, and the stories have triggered a “flash mob” of backlash against JBL. He added that he still likes Mauro even though Mauro “unfollowed” him on Twitter, but that he took issue with some of fellow ex-WWE announcer Justin Roberts’ stories about JBL. Booker also took issue with the term “bullying” being applied to the locker room in WWE.

“I think [bullying] pretty much goes away when you’re a grown man and you’re able to take up for yourself and throw hands, or go and talk to someone,” Booker said. “Say ‘hey, I don’t feel like I’m being treated right with this commentator, maybe you need to move me somewhere else otherwise there could be problems.’ […] But I don’t think the “bullying” rule should fall under grown men having an issue with each other.”

He mentions that he came up in the business around The Steiner Brothers, The Nasty Boys, and Brian Pillman, and if one of them had messed with him he would have settled it himself.

Former WWE announcer Justin Roberts recently released an autobiography detailing his experiences with JBL. It should be noted that Mauro himself hasn’t publicly made any allegations against JBL.

Kurt Angle On Roman Reigns: “If The Fans Don’t Accept Him, Then Turn Him Heel”

RAW GM Kurt Angle recently did an interview with the Washington Top News where he commented on the mixed reactions from fans to RAW star Roman Reigns, and compared him to John Cena.

The WWE Hall of Famer said he loves Reigns, but feels WWE might have pushed him too fast for some fans’ liking. Angle believes when a star skips the mid-card and goes right to the top, it makes some fans resent him.

“Half the fans love him; half the fans hate him,” Angle said of Reigns. “Same with [John] Cena. When Cena came in, Vince pushed the hell out of him, and fans were like, ‘Gosh, dang. This guy’s invincible. I hate him!’ … If Vince waits it out a bit, fans will start to accept [Roman Reigns], and if they don’t, then turn him heel.”

Angle mentioned that some of his other favorite members of the current WWE roster are Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins, and Chad Gable.

Alberto Del Rio: I Hate Some People In WWE, But JBL Isn’t One Of Them

The stories about JBL’s alleged behind-the-scenes bullying are getting mainstream attention, and in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated former WWE star Alberto Del Rio weighed in on the issue.

Del Rio has his fair share of issues with WWE employees, including going on online rants against Triple H. One person in WWE he doesn’t have an issue with is JBL.

“I know I had a lot of beef with some of the people in that company, and I can say that I hate some of the people in that place, but JBL was not one of them,” Del Rio told SI.com. “He was always fantastic to me and he always treated my family with respect, so I have nothing but respect for JBL.”

Del Rio was released from WWE last September. He was previously released in late 2014 for allegedly slapping a WWE employee who made a racist joke. The former World Heavyweight Champion recently said WWE reached out to him about a return, but he declined.

“I swear on my kids’ life, I don’t watch the product at all, I don’t follow, so I don’t know what the situation is with JBL,” he added.

  • Kurt Angle’s Top 3 Favorite Wrestlers: “I’m Sorry, But Benoit Is Possibly The Greatest Of All Time”

Kurt Angle’s Top 3 Favorite Wrestlers: “I’m Sorry, But Benoit Is Possibly The Greatest Of All Time”

WWE Hall Of Famer and WWE Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle recently appeared on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast, where he discussed some of his greatest opponents and his “top three.” The Olympic gold medalist had high praises for some of his most famous rivals: Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit.

“I’m sorry, but he has got to be in the top three of all time,” Angle said of Benoit. “I mean, you can’t deny that. Even Bret Hart will tell you that.” Angle added that the things Benoit did in 2007 are inexcusable, but in the ring he was “possibly the greatest of all time.”

Angle says another one of the best in-ring performers ever was ‘Latino Heat,” and says Eddie Guerrero would have been the #1 performer in the business if not for his health issues. Angle discussed Guerrero’s car accident on New Year’s Day in 1999 and the effect that had on his career.

“I think Eddie was in his prime in WCW and the reason I say that is because he got in a car accident,” Angle said. “That car accident did two things for him. It really inhibited what he could do after that. In other words, he had limits. He could still do a lot, but not like he used to. I used to watch him in WCW and be like, ‘wow, this kid’s incredible.’ But he almost couldn’t walk again after that accident, so yeah, Eddie was banged up when I wrestled him.”

“As good as he was in 2004, 2005, he had to be 10-times better back then,” Angle recalled. “That’s mind-blowing. I mean, he could have been the absolute greatest of all time because when I wrestled him, he was still in that top three we were talking about, so Eddie had it all. He was so entertaining, but he also had all the technique. He was such a great wrestler and he got it. He got finishes. He knew how to structure them.”

Angle and Guerrero got into a real-life backstage fight after some professional differences boiled over. The story goes that Guerrero attempted a double-leg take down on the Olympic gold medalist, but Angle defended it with a front face lock and they were quickly pulled apart. Angle recalled that after Guerrero had confronted him several times, Angle shoved him away from him to see what Guerrero would do.

“He didn’t do anything, so I shoved him again and he double-legs me. I mean, you could’ve sucker punched me, but he double-legs me,” he recalled. “And I’m like, ‘he did not just try to double-leg an Olympic gold medalist, so I laid the hips into him and then I started choking him out nice and slow.”

Angle said he wanted to make amends with Guerrero right away, but Guerrero told him he “wasn’t ready to be sorry,” which made Angle want to “kick his butt.” They almost got into it again in the locker room, but Angle says JBL pulled them apart. He says the next week Guerrero apologized to him, and they were “like brothers.”

The other wrestler Kurt lists in his top three favorite in-ring performers is Shawn Michaels. “I’m not going to lie to you, I wish I would have wrestled Ric Flair in his prime and Bret Hart in his prime,” Angle said. “I did [wrestle Shawn Michaels], so I have to say Shawn Michaels is the best.” Kurt recalled that he and Michaels didn’t rehearse anything for their acclaimed WrestleMania 21 match, because “yeah, [Michaels] is that good.”

  • New Financial Filing Details: Vince & Linda McMahon In The Billionaire Club

New Financial Filing Details: Vince & Linda McMahon In The Billionaire Club

As a result of Linda McMahon being appointed the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, she and Vince had to make a public filing about their finances recently. In the joint filing, The McMahons reported a net worth between $938 million and $1.1 billion. Most of the net worth is composed of stock and real estate.

They listed several residences, one in Greenwich, CT worth $8 million, one in Stamford worth $3 million, and others in New York, Las Vegas, and Boca Raton. The McMahons have about $12 million is cash spread across ten different bank accounts in Vince’s name. They listed between $25 and $50 million in a Morgan Stanley money market account, and $782 million in WWE stock.

The filing states they are owed between $5 million and $25 million in loans by an unnamed family member.

Forbes first tabbed WWE chairman Vince McMahon as a billionaire in 2000, but WWE’s stock fell the following year and McMahon didn’t return to the billionaire ranks until early 2014. His net worth would fall below one billion again when he lost $350 million in one day in May of 2014, before rising back up in April of 2016 with the success of the WWE Network and company stock.
