  • WWE 2K24 Review: Another Fantastic Move Forward In The Series

WWE 2K24 Review: Another Fantastic Move Forward In The Series

Wrestling fans around the world can finally play  WWE 2K24, the installment of WWE and 2K’s best-in-class wrestling video game franchise.

WWE 2K24 Deluxe ($99.99) and 40 years of WrestleMania ($119.99) editions are now availablefor PlayStation 4 &5, Xbox Series X|S/One and Steam. The Standard Edition ($69.99) will be released this Friday, March 8.

After a remarkable entry in the series last year, fans wonder if WWE 2K24 can be even better.  I’ve played WWE 2K24 enough in advance on Xbox Series X to share this review, which I will rate between 1 and 10 at the end.

Gameplay Hits Harder Than Past WWE 2K Titles

The developers of WWE 2K24 did a great job improving the gameplay from last year’s game. At first glance, fans may think the wrestling mechanics is precisely the same as WWE 2K23. However, the newest title adds minor tweaks that make it stand above its recent predecessors.

One of the notable additions in the game is the ability to exchange strikes in the middle of a match. WWE 2K24 adds a fun mini-game where you and your opponent must press a button at the correct meter to land a blow. This allows a fun exchange as you try to get the better of your opponent and take control of the match.

Another interesting decision was making the managers outside the ring as challenging as the opponent standing across from you. A player can choose managers like Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan or Miss Elizabeth, who can cause distractions, hand weapons, or even remove the turnbuckle pad. It makes having or going against someone with a manager competitive, as you deal with a wild card at ringside.

WWE 2K24: Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels Casket Match

WWE 2K Adds Fan Favorite Match Types

The exact match types, including War Games, are present in the newest game. That said, WWE 2K24 adds a few new matches, like the highly requested Casket and Ambulance match. Both are a great addition to WWE 2K24 and deliver fan service that longtime WWE 2K gamers have hoped to see.

The two new match types also create an exhilarating experience as you try to put your opponent in a position to be victorious. When trying to close the casket or the doors of an ambulance on your rival, you are put to the test in a mini-game of rapidly pressing the right buttons to end the contest.

WWE 2K24 also has the Special Guest Referee match, which puts players in control or at the mercy of an official. I found this returning match type fun when playing online with someone as a referee, as you don’t know if they will keep it neutral and add an exciting challenge.

WWE 2K24 Adds Stakes To My Faction Mode

One of the delightful additions to WWE 2K24 was the improvement on My Faction mode. After WWE 2K23, fans wanted to be able to take characters they collected and play in other parts of the game. The developers have listened to the demand and have effectively made playing My Faction mode important to the overall experience.

WWE 2K24 introduces unique character cards called Personas, which could be a variation of a wrestler or potentially someone completely new. This allows fans to play with that character elsewhere in the game. One of the wrestlers I unlocked when selecting my pack of cards to begin My Faction was Sheamus from 2009, and he had his older theme and appearance.

If anyone had hesitations about playing My Faction in the past, WWE 2K24 makes it worthwhile. The ability to play with unique wrestlers in different game modes allows for more options to the already stacked roster.

WWE 2K24: My Rise Psycho Sally

My Rise Takes Another Step Forward

This year’s My Rise mode is one of the best efforts of the WWE 2K series. The newest title does stick to the same formula of two different storylines for a created male and female character but improves on past games.

It feels like the developers had fun being creative and thinking of different scenarios for gamers to explore. WWE 2K24 My Rise mode puts your character on the journey to the WWE as you try to become a superstar and champion. Fans also have more options than in the past when creating their character, as WWE 2K24 adds new features like different hairstyles and clothing.

I appreciate WWE 2K developers’ ambition and use of My Rise mode to create fun storylines. Another great addition was having different wrestlers contribute voice acting, making the journey worth exploring. WWE 2K24 My Rise was a delightful surprise and makes me wonder if the 2K decides to focus more on it in the future.

WWE 2K24 WrestleMania Showcase Mode Doesn’t Live Up To Its Past

When it was announced that WWE 2K24 would have a WrestleMania showcase mode, I was excited about the possibilities. The last game that celebrated the history of the ‘Grandest Stage Of them All’ was WWE 2K14, and, unfortunately, the newest title couldn’t replicate what made it special.

2K had 39 WrestleManias to highlight and celebrate some of its legendary matches but made the disappointing decision to showcase 21 bouts, some from the same event. This is unfortunate as WWE 2K14 allowed fans to go through the years and highlight one or two matches at every WrestleMania.

What makes it worse is the decision to have cutscenes of the actual matches occur while you are playing them. This leads to jarring moments that take you out of the experience and makes the 40 years of WrestleMania Showcase mode feel like a chore.

A decade after WWE 2K14’s successful attempt to take fans on a nostalgia trip, the WWE 2K24 showcase feels like a half-baked idea and makes me wonder if the developers had too much on their hands.

WWE 2K24: 40 Years Of WrestleMania Cover

     Overall Conclusion Of WWE 2K24

WWE 2K24 is a step up from his past titles, especially with the gameplay and new features. The graphics look amazing, as they should for a next-gen console. WWE 2K developers also show that they listen to fan feedback about the game’s improvements.

Although the showcase mode was a letdown, it wasn’t enough to ruin my appreciation of the game. The improvements in My Faction are great and what I believe fans will gravitate toward for replay value as they try to unlock new characters. I also think gamers will be intrigued by going through My Rise to see what unfolds in the storylines.

WWE 2K24 has My GM and My Universe, but it is still relatively the same as WWE 2K23 compared to the other game modes. The game does have me wondering if there needs to be a new WWE 2K game every year, as more time could’ve possibly made the latest installment better. However, it’s hard to deny WWE 2K24 delivers a satisfying experience and overall lays the smackdown on past WWE 2K games. I give WWE 2K24 an 8.5 out of 10.

Review: I give WWE 2K24 an 8.5 out of 10.

  • WWE 2K24 MyRISE Gives Multiple Story Options For Gamers With Unleashed and Undisputed Mode

WWE 2K24 MyRISE Gives Multiple Story Options For Gamers With Unleashed and Undisputed Mode

Pro wrestling fans and gamers often come together for the yearly 2k video game drops, just to see what the company has in store. Now, we have even more information on the MyRISE feature, and this should keep players entertained for hours.

WWE 2K24 is going to offer fans a ton of gameplay options. The popular feature MyRISE is coming back, and in the latest installment, the gaming franchise will unveil two captivating storylines: Unleashed and Undisputed.

    WWE 2K24 MyRISE

2k has dropped even more information about the upcoming MyRISE feature in WWE 2K24. With 80 rewards awaiting players, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts, gamers are set for an immersive journey. Over 6 hours of dialogue, complete with voiceovers from WWE icons like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Mick Foley, and Shotzi, promise an engaging experience.

In Unleashed, the focus shifts to the women’s division storyline, where players embody a wrestler carving her path by her own rules. From building a thriving wrestling company on the indie scene to grappling with the opportunity to showcase their talents on WWE’s grand stage, players face crucial decisions: to unleash their full potential or hold back.

    WWE 2K24 MyRISE Extras

William Regal reprises his role as the General Manager of Raw in both narratives, aiding players in navigating backstage rivalries. In Unleashed, Regal serves as a confidant, guiding players through the intricacies of larger-than-life WWE characters, urging them to “take big swings” and “live the fantasy.”

Undisputed also offers players significant choices, including aligning with SmackDown GM The Miz, leading to unique storylines, cutscenes, and alliances. Whether players opt to collaborate with Miz or oppose him, each decision shapes their gaming experience.

For the first time, MyRISE introduces MyFACTION cards exclusive to Undisputed and Unleashed, featuring beloved characters like Cole Quinn, Chosen, Slade, Tavish, and Xavier Woods’ alter ego, Zero.

  • WWE 2K24 & Snickers Confirmed As WrestleMania 40 Presenting Partners

WWE 2K24 and Snickers will serve as the Presenting Partners of WrestleMania 40, which will take place from Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field this April.

This marks the third consecutive year that WWE 2K and Snickers have teamed up as the Presenting Partners of WWE’s annual supershow. In a statement, Martin Terwilliger, Marketing Vice President, Mars Wrigley, was excited to continue the partnership.

“SNICKERS is proud to return to WrestleMania, bringing a satisfying solution to WWE fans around the world. We look forward to showing up for the passionate fanbase with WWE 2K24 as presenting partners for WrestleMania XL, bringing fans what is sure to be one of the most exciting sporting events of 2024.”

Dennis Ceccarelli, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sports at 2K, was also pleased to be a presenting partner of WrestleMania 40

“While fans can relive forty years of WrestleMania in WWE 2K24, we’ll once again tag-team with SNICKERS to co-present WrestleMania XL. We’ll be cheering on our cover Superstars: Rallying Cody Rhodes to ‘Finish the Story,’ rooting for Rhea Ripley to defend her title, and looking forward to Bianca Belair putting on the ‘EST’ WrestleMania performance of all.”

Grant Norris-Jones, EVP & Head of Global Partnerships, TKO, addressed the size of WrestleMania 40 with great fervor.

“WrestleMania XL is shaping up to be the biggest event in WWE history and we are excited to take our partnership with 2K and Snickers to new heights as the brands unite for a third consecutive year.”

    WrestleMania 40

WWE WrestleMania 40 will be the promotion’s fifth two-night event, a tradition established during the COVID-19 pandemic. The card for the show as it currently stands is as follows:

    • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes (Undisputed WWE Universal Championship)
    • Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley (WWE Women’s Championship)
    • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch (WWE Women’s World Championship)
    • Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Ex-Divas Champion Wishes She Was A Part Of WWE 2K24 Video Game

WWE 2K24 will see one of the series’ largest-ever rosters, but one former Superstar wishes that she was a playable character in the new game.

WWE 2K24 will be the latest game in the 2K series of games that began with the release of WWE 2K14 a decade ago. The Standard Edition of WWE 2K24 will be released on March 8, while the Deluxe and 40 Years of WrestleMania Editions will be released three days earlier on March 5. Earlier this week, fans caught their first glimpse of gameplay footage from WWE 2K24

    Kelly Kelly and WWE 2K24

With 4 decades of WWE being on display in WWE 2K24, not everybody can be featured in the upcoming video game. Recently, Kelly Kelly’s name was trending on social media as fans rallied for her to be included. Responding, Kelly said that she wishes she could be a part of WWE 2K24.

    WWE 2K24 Omissions

When WWE 2K recently revealed its roster for the upcoming game, fans noticed how several notable names were missing. Two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, was among those missing. In a statement, 2K said this was a simple error and has since included McIntyre and others in updated rosters

    Kelly Kelly in Video Games

Kelly appeared in six video games during her run with WWE and made her in-game debut in SmackDown Vs. Raw 2008. From there, she appeared in SVR 2009, 2010, and 2011. After the game series rebranded, she appeared in WWE ’12 and WWE ’13. In Mexico, a videogame store sold an exclusive cover of WWE ’12 featuring Kelly Kelly on the cover.

WWE 2K24 announced during RAW this week that CM Punk, Pat McAfee, Jade Cargill, Post Malone, and more will be a part of the downloadable content for the new game. This will be a part of the season pass feature.

CM Punk Addresses His Absence From WWE 2K24 Roster

WWE 2K24 is not going to include CM Punk from the look of it. Of course, CM Punk appeared in AEW: Fight Forever, even after his firing. This is a very interesting issue, and Punk is going to look into things.

CM Punk certainly noticed that his name is not included in 2K’s plan to roll out this new game. His name is absent from the roster, and DLC plans have not featured him, either. The Second City Savior is never short on words, and an investigation is apparently underway.

    CM Punk Addresses WWE 2K24

WWE 2K24 is preparing for its upcoming release, introducing several new features to fans. Notable enhancements include the incorporation of real WWE referees and highly lifelike character models. However, to the surprise of many, CM Punk’s absence from the game, including any future DLC plans, has prompted him to launch an inquiry.

Acknowledging his absence from the game, CM Punk took to social media to address the situation. He admitted to being aware of his late return to WWE, which consequently led to his exclusion from the game’s initial roster.

CM Punk brought up that 2K had revealed the full roster for the upcoming WWE video game. He expressed his disappointment at not being included, recognizing that his return to WWE occurred after the game’s development. Despite this, he had hoped to see himself featured in the recently released DLC teaser. In response to fan demand for his inclusion, CM Punk stated that he would be conducting an investigation into the matter.

Punk also realizes that fans will go crazy because he’s not in the game, but that is the situation we’re in right now.

”And I know this because the fans are going crazy, they’re asking where I’m at and asking how come I’m not in the video game. So, I decided to make it my thing to try to get to the bottom of this, because the fans are demanding that I be put in this video game. Now I’m not a video game guy, so I don’t know how fast they can do this, but like I said, we’re gonna try to get to the bottom of this, and I’m gonna tag them here just to put some pressure on. Let’s put some feet to fire today, ladies and gentlemen.”

    CM Punk’s Situation

CM Punk didn’t return to WWE until Survivor Series 2024, and that was a massive surprise. 2K had no time to get his character design all ready, let alone the entrance on Punk’s level deserves in the game.

Hopefully, 2k will announce Punk as a DLC addition later on. Right now, it appears that fans will have to keep waiting, or they will have to make a CAW of Punk for one more year.

    WWE 2K24 Release Details

WWE 2K24 will offer three editions: Deluxe, Forty Years of WrestleMania, and Standard. These editions will roll out globally on March 8, 2024. Keep an eye out for updates on the game’s soundtrack, roster, Superstar ratings, and other details.

Update: CM Punk will be Included

It was announced during WWE RAW that CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Pat McAfee, and more will be included as DLC in the season pass of this year’s game.

  • Watch: Action Figure Cody Rhodes Is A Playable Character In WWE 2K24

Cody Rhodes will be a playable character in the WWE 2K24 video game, as both himself and an action figure recreation of the American Nightmare.

On social media, a clip was uploaded featuring the action-figure version of Rhodes making his entrance in the upcoming video game. This figure of Rhodes depicts his WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 attire, complete with torn pectoral injury. Rhodes would compete despite the injury and defeat Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. This figure comes from the WWE Mattel Elite: Defining Moments range of action figures.

    Cody Rhodes & WWE 2K24

In addition to being a playable character, in both flesh and plastic form, Cody Rhodes is one of the cover stars for WWE 2K24. That’s despite Cody being unable to finish the story at WrestleMania 39, a loss that hit the popular Raw Superstar hard. Rhodes has even said that he doesn’t want to be part of the next WWE 2K video game if he is unable to become a WWE World Champion.

    Unusual WWE Video Game Characters

Ribbie, a delicious BBQ rib, was a playable character in WWE 2K20.

The action-figure version of Cody Rhodes is hardly the first bizarre entry into a WWE video game. For WrestleMania 2000, fans could play as a Crash Test Dummy, not to be confused with then-Hardcore Champion Crash Holly. Al Snow was a part of WWF Attitude, as was ‘Head’ which for the game had grown hands and feet and hovered at head height above the canvas.

Colonel Sanders would bring his finger-lickin’ fury to WWEK 2K18 while WWE 2K20 saw the inclusion of ‘Ribbie’ a BBQ rib brought to life who serves as the mascot for a minor league baseball team referenced in the game’s story mode.

  • WWE 2K24 Blows Rhea Ripley Away With Throwback Version Of Her Character

WWE 2K24 Blows Rhea Ripley Away With Throwback Version Of Her Character

WWE 2K24 is set to drop on March 8th, and we just got the whole roster. There are over 200 playable characters, and some of them have variations. Rhea Ripley is very happy about one pre-Nightmare of herself that made it in the game.

Rhea Ripley Reacts To WWE 2K24 Character

2K dropped a screenshot of Rhea Ripley from WWE 2K24, one where she doesn’t look like herself today. They added the WWE NXT UK version of Ripley, a younger version of herself with long blonde hair and far fewer tattoos.

Mami before she was Mami! Exclusive #FirstLook from the Deluxe Edition! #WWE2K24

Rhea Ripley saw this, and she couldn’t contain her excitement. The Judgment Day member re-posted that screenshot and included a caption saying, “Oh. Oh My God…”

WWE Games’ official Twitter/X account also re-posted Ripley’s response. They are obviously very proud of the work they did on that character design.

    Brock Lesnar’s WWE 2K24 Status

Although there are going to be multiple playable versions of Rhea Ripley in the new WWE 2K24 game, Brock Lesnar is absent. He was pulled, along with Vince McMahon, after Janel Grant’s lawsuit.

2k couldn’t totally remove Lesnar from the game, so he will still be in the game files. We will have to see how long it takes for a fan to crack that code to get Lesnar in their gameplay.

  • Brock Lesnar Was Not Totally Removed From WWE 2K24

Brock Lesnar Was Not Totally Removed From WWE 2K24

People love a good video game story, and this is certainly a controversial one. The allegations in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis spilled into the video game world, as 2k was forced to make a change. Despite the appearance that Brock Lesnar was removed from the game, he is still in the files.

Brock Lesnar is Not Totally Removed

WWE 2K24’s roster dropped this week, and Brock Lesnar was missing. This was a very interesting omission from the game, but it was also too late in the process to remove him completely.

According to Mike Straw at Insider Gaming, Brock Lesnar is still in the files of the game. He just won’t be a playable character.

Despite being unplayable, his character and game files are still within WWE 2K24. That means that there will be ways for those with the ability to get him to become playable, it’ll just take some work to make it happen.

Since Brock Lesnar is still in the files of the game, odds are it won’t take long for someone to break into the game and insert him into their regular gameplay.

    Reason For Brock Lesnar’s Removal

Janel Grant’s lawsuit alleges that in July 2021, Vince McMahon directed Janel Grant to create personalized sexual content for a WWE superstar he wanted to re-sign.
The lawsuit did not identify the wrestler but described them as both a UFC fighter and WWE talent. Given the timeline of 2021, it’s relatively straightforward to narrow down those options, although Brock Lesnar was not mentioned.

According to the lawsuit, McMahon shared explicit photos with the WWE Superstar, who expressed approval, stating, “he likes what he sees.”

In December of the same year, McMahon allegedly provided Grant’s personal cellphone number to the unnamed WWE Superstar. The lawsuit alleges that the wrestler requested a video of her urinating, and after she complied, he used derogatory language, referring to her as ‘b*tch.’ A meetup was planned, but they never followed through with it due to travel issues.

What’s Next For Brock Lesnar in WWE

Brock Lesnar was supposed to have a match against Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber, and then he was going to face GUNTHER at WrestleMania. Neither of those matches are happening.

Lesnar was also pulled from the 2024 Royal Rumble match, and Bron Breakker took his spot as a last-minute replacement. That also marked Breakker’s official call-up, although he still has things to settle in NXT first.

Brock Lesnar is not in any WWE creative plans. I asked around about his status, and I was told that the only people speaking his name are high up in the food chain, and it is not in any regard to bringing him back. At this point, the belief within WWE is that the Beast Incarnate may be done in WWE.

  • Liv Morgan Responds After WWE 2K24 Is Threatened With Lawsuit By ECW Legend Francine

Liv Morgan Responds After WWE 2K24 Is Threatened With Lawsuit By ECW Legend Francine

WWE 2K24 is on the way, and we just got the full roster reveal today. That being said, not everyone is happy about the upcoming game. Now, ECW legend Francine is threatening to take things to court.

    Francine is Not Happy

A recent tweet has garnered the interest of a former WWE/ECW star. This all started when 2K dropped a sneak peek of Liv Morgan’s entrance on Twitter/X.

On Wednesday, 2K Games shared a tweet featuring a clip of Liv Morgan’s entrance in the WWE 2K24 video game, accompanied by the caption: “Queen of Extreme @YaOnlyLivvOnce #FirstLook #WWE2K24.”

This tweet caught the attention of Francine, renowned for her work as a valet, who holds the trademark rights to “Queen of Extreme.” Francine, who was associated with ECW from 1995 to 2001 and WWE from 2005 to 2006, issued a legal warning to 2K Games. She apparently didn’t appreciate the gimmick infringement on her intellectual property.

“I have The Queen of Extreme trademarked. Do you need something sent to you guys again from my lawyer?”

As of this writing, 2K has taken down the tweet and replaced it. Liv Morgan has also refrained from speaking on the matter. Francine could be serious, but odds are she was just making it clear that there is only one true Queen of Extreme.

    WWE 2K24 Release Date

    Update: Liv Morgan Responds

Liv Morgan saw this situation, and how 2K had to delete that original tweet. Then she responded by mentioning her new self-appointed nickname that would not infringe on any trademark.

  • Ken Shamrock Resurfaces in WWE 2K24 After 7-Year Hiatus From Game

Ken Shamrock Resurfaces in WWE 2K24 After 7-Year Hiatus From Game

WWE 2K24 is coming soon, and the roster reveals are ongoing. Thanks to a recent announcement, we know that fans won’t have to create Ken Shamrock in this year’s game, because he will be included as a playable legend.

Ken Shamrock is Coming to WWE 2K24

According to the SmackDown Hotel, this is the first main-line WWE video game that Ken Shamrock has appeared in since WWE 2K16 in 2015. He was a part of the legend’s roster for that game.

Shamrock has been on the company’s Supercard game, and he also made a non-WWE affiliated appearance in The Wrestling Code. Now, he is back in a main 2k game.

SmackDown Hotel screenshot of Ken Shamrock’s appearances

WWE Games’ posted on Twitter/X to ask fans who they are most excited to see in the game. Along with Shamrock, this post also included Undertaker, The Rock, Triple H, Lita, George “The Animal” Steele, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and Mankind.

Ken Shamrock is a WWE legend, but he is not a Hall of Famer yet. He was inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. Of course, he has touted for his induction in the past, so we will have to see if his inclusion in WWE 2K24 is a sign of that being more of a possibility.

    Showcase of the Immortals Mode

WWE 2K24 will present a Showcase of the Immortals mode, which allows players to replay 21 matches from five decades of WrestleMania history. Each match unlocks upon completing the previous one. The game features iconic battles like Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, alongside modern clashes such as Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, providing a comprehensive journey through WrestleMania’s storied past.

With so many amazing moments in WrestleMania history getting a highlight in this game, we will have to see if Ken Shamrock makes an appearance in that feature.

WWE 2K24 will offer three editions: Deluxe, Forty Years of WrestleMania, and Standard. These editions will roll out globally on March 8, 2024. Keep an eye out for updates on the game’s soundtrack, roster, Superstar ratings, and other details.

WWE fans expect a yearly video game at this point, and WWE 2K24 is not disappointing when it comes to the hype so far. We are getting more information about the game as the weeks tick down until the latest offering from 2k drops, and this will also include the return of a much-requested feature.

WWE 2K24 Bringing Back Fan-Favorite Feature

2k dropped a new teaser video today that said a lot. The short hype video included several tweets from WWE fans, begging them to bring back the special guest referee feature. Then they cut to a striped shirt Randy Orton delivering an RKO outta nowhere as a referee.

The post on Twitter/X also included a caption that simply said: “Master of the rules.” This post has already caused a stir with fans who missed the ability to play as a referee in their 2k video game experience.

    Other WWE 2K24 News

Songs from the upcoming WWE 2K24 soundtrack have already been released, and it has an impressive lineup. The hype is certainly there, and it appears that the 2k team is listening to fans as well, so we’ll have to see if they add any other lost features down the line.

Bianca Belair on the WWE 2K24 Cover (Exclusive)

The cover for WWE 2K24 was revealed with a lot of excitement. Cody Rhodes is the cover star for the standard edition of this year’s game on Monday. Additionally, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley grace the cover of the Deluxe Edition. The 40 Years of WrestleMania edition features a collage of wrestling legends, making it a standout among wrestling video game covers.

Ripley and Belair are making history as they are the first women to share a cover of the WWE video game. This is a big deal for them, but they are representing the entire roster, and everyone who came before them.

While speaking to SEScoops‘ Scott Fishman, Bianca Belair was asked about support in the locker room over this new video game cover. She said that everyone is excited, and they plan to buy hard copies of the game so they can keep it.

“They’re so excited. They’re all saying they’re getting a hard copy, they’re keeping it, they’re super excited. Because, I think that having an all-female cover, it just shows how amazing our roster is. It is showing how much the women’s division has evolved, and it shows how stacked it is.”

“We’re the first, but we’re not going to be the last. They’re super supportive of it, it’s representation for women, and no one does it like WWE for the women. We have representation for all cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, like we define what it means to be a woman. So, when you see myself and Rhea Ripley on that cover, it represents every single woman who came before us, every single woman on the roster right now”

  • WWE 2K24: Bad Bunny & More Join Post Malone as Playable Characters In Upcoming Game

WWE 2K24 is coming soon, and fans are getting a lot more information. Now, it is confirmed that full-time megastar and part-time WWE Superstar Bad Bunny will make the game.

New Confirmed Characters In WWE 2K24

Several new additions have been revealed for WWE 2K24. These names are only a fraction of the playable characters that will be in the new game.

On February 19, WWE Games’ Twitter/X page unveiled Alba Fyre, Thea Hail, Bad Bunny, Jey Uso, Bronson Reed, Maxxine Dupri, Isla Dawn, and Tegan Nox as confirmed members of the WWE 2K24 roster. The announcement included a snapshot of Fyre’s character model.

In addition to these new characters, it was previously announced that Post Malone would also be featured as a playable character in WWE 2K24. Malone was heavily involved in the soundtrack, and he also has two songs in the game.

This means that fans will be able to book Bad Bunny vs Post Malone matches, and we can’t wait for those viral videos. On a semi-related note, Logan Paul has a 90 rating, so this game could be interesting.

    Changes to WWE 2K24

2k is making efforts to remove as much of certain people as they possibly can from the upcoming game. Vince McMahon’s resignation, which was caused by a string of allegations in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against himself, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, has caused many alterations to WWE’s product in recent memory.

PW Insider reported that Brock Lesnar will not be totally removed from the game, but the 2k team has obviously made efforts to remove him from advertising. The Beast Incarnate was also removed from the Forty Years of WrestleMania cover after his name was connected to heinous allegations in Janel Grant’s blockbuster lawsuit.

    WWE 2K24 Release Date

The Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K24 will be digitally released worldwide, with physical availability in the US and select territories, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The Standard Edition and Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition of WWE 2K24 will be accessible globally on Friday, March 8, 2024.

The latest trailer for WWE 2K24’s 2K Showcase of the Immortals was unveiled today, offering fans a glimpse into five decades of WrestleMania, the pinnacle of sports entertainment. There are many memories to pull from, and 2k promises an exciting experience.

Featuring a lineup of WWE Superstars and Legends such as Cody Rhodes, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Rhea Ripley, Eddie Guerrero, and many more, the new trailer showcases intense battles inside the squared circle. The trailer also transitions between the most realistic WWE 2K graphics to-date and real-life footage. In a press release from 2k, they touted that this effect was courtesy of cutting-edge Slingshot Technology.

The 2K Showcase of the Immortals experience allows players to relive 21 matches across five decades of WrestleMania history, with each match unlocked by completing the previous one. From iconic showdowns like Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant to modern classics like Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair, the game offers a comprehensive journey through WrestleMania’s storied past.

Some of the matches included in the WWE 2K24 Showcase of the Immortals mode were mentioned, but there are more to come.

    • Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes – WrestleMania 39;

    Absence of Brock Lesnar

It is interesting that Brock Lesnar is not featured in any matches on this announcement. After all, the Beast Incarnate breaking The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania XX is a strange omission from those amazing matches.

He was pulled from the cover of WWE 2K24’s Forty Years of WrestleMania edition after his connection to the allegations in Janel Grant’s lawsuit.

Brock Lesnar’s name did not appear in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. However, the mention of a former UFC Heavyweight Champion negotiating a new contract with WWE raised concerns for Lesnar. Now, he is being erased.

It will be interesting to see if 2K will be able to take him out of the game completely. That may be hard to do this late in the game’s process. They certainly avoided including him in this announcement, if he is still featured at all.

2K has already removed Lesnar from their SuperCard mobile game, and it appears he will not be featured in WWE 2K24. It was also reported that they will make efforts to remove him from the game.

Brock Lesnar didn’t make his planned WWE return during the 2024 Royal Rumble event after Janel Grant’s lawsuit dropped. There is a belief that he may not be back.

  • Watch Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend Entrance In WWE 2K24

Watch Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend Entrance In WWE 2K24

Next month, WWE will release its 2K24 video game. This year’s game will see Cody Rhodes rocking the cover of the title’s standard edition, while Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley share the front of the Deluxe Edition. 2K will also be releasing a special tribute to the upcoming 40th anniversary of WrestleMania with the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition, which displays the likes of The Undertaker, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and Becky Lynch on the cover.

As the anticipation continues to grow, WWE has provided a glimpse into some of the notable wrestler entrances featured in WWE 2K24. On Monday, the company released a video showcasing The Fiend’s entrance with the caption “Let. Him. In,” indicating that the spirit of Bray Wyatt will live on.

    The Fiend In WWE 2K24

As expected, The Fiend, who was portrayed by the Windham Rotunda (aka Bray Wyatt), will don his signature mask that was crafted by Jason Baker of Callosum Studio. In addition to his spooky mask, The Fiend is wearing his signature leather jacket with his red and black striped pants. The Fiend can also be seen walking to the ring while carrying a replica of Bray Wyatt’s face designed in the form of a lantern.

Fans can see the full clip of The Fiend’s entrance below:

Bray Wyatt’s run as The Fiend spanned two years, beginning with its inception in 2019. Along his journey, The Fiend feuded with performers such as John Cena, Randy Orton, Goldberg, and Daniel Bryan. The spooky superstar is also known for recruiting Alexa Bliss into his Firefly Fun House.

Bray Wyatt sadly passed away in August 2023.

  • WWE 2K24’s WrestleMania Showcase Features 21 Matches, Greater Female Representation

WWE 2K24’s WrestleMania Showcase Features 21 Matches, Greater Female Representation

Gamers will be able to enjoy the 40 years of WrestleMania across 21 matches in the upcoming WWE 2K24 video game.

    40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase

Much of the buzz around WWE 2K24 surrounds the 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase mode. Similar to WWE 2K14, this mode will see players work their way through WrestleMania history by reliving some of the show’s most iconic matches.

In a Q&A session with WCCFTech, WWE 2K gameplay producer Bryan Williams shared some details about the 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase.

“There are 21 matches from the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s, 2010s, up to the 2020s… the current day. So we have a wide selection, every era is represented.

Williams also spoke about the female representation in the WrestleMania showcase and how, unlike WWE 2K14, this year’s Showcase will feature women’s matches.

“I will say one of the cool things about this year for Showcase of the Immortals is that there’s a lot more female representation than there was ten years ago when 2K14 hit the shelves. So very excited and happy about that.

“One of the matches there is Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair from WrestleMania 39. That is one of the matches that players will be able to experience in this year’s Showcase.”

Don’t expect to see Brock Lesnar as part of WWE 2K24’s promotional build…

  • First Look at Muhammad Ali in WWE 2K24

First Look at Muhammad Ali in WWE 2K24

2K has fans excited after their latest gameplay trailer of the upcoming WWE 2K24, which is set to be released on March 8. The newest installment of the series will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. While 2K has shared that the game has 200 characters, it’s unclear who will be in the game. However, they have revealed that the boxing great Muhammad Ali will be playable in WWE 2K24.

In today’s gameplay trailer, Ali’s character model is shown wearing his classic white and black boxing attire at the end. While he passed away on June 3, 2016, Ali’s legacy continues to live on in pop culture and media. He is also featured in EA Sports UFC 5, released last year.

The timing of the reveal comes at an interesting time, as it was the anniversary of Ali’s famous win over Ernie Terrell by unanimous decision. It’s unclear if it was intentional, but the official WWE 2K24 Twitter Account reposted a picture of Ali and Terrell.

Possible Reason For Muhammad Ali’s Inclusion In WWE 2K24

Ali’s inclusion in the game has made fans curious if it’s due to his involvement in the first WWE WrestleMania on March 31, 1985. The boxing legend was famously the Special Guest Referee in the tag team match with Hulk Hogan, and Mr. T took on Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper.

2K has announced that the game features a new showcase mode called ‘Forty Years Of WrestleMania,’ highlighting notable matches that have taken on the ‘Grandest Stage Of Them All.’ WWE 2K24 has also shared that the game will have new match types like Special Guest Referee, making it very possible to have the historic WWE WrestleMania tag team match.

The news of Ali being playable in WWE 2K24 has fans excited to see who else will be in the game. A 200-character roster and future downloadable content give plenty of options for creating fun dream matches.

  • Val Venis Claims He’s Being Erased From History After WWE 2K24 Snub

Val Venis Claims He’s Being Erased From History After WWE 2K24 Snub

WWE fans are excited about the company’s next video game offering. Game play footage is now out, and the playable roster is being revealed. They didn’t have room for everyone, though.

Val Venis Speaks Out About WWE 2K24

WWE 2k24 is rolling out more information, but one former Superstar hasn’t seen his face. Although Val Venis’ porn star gimmick went over in the Attitude Era, it would need to be greatly toned down today. It appears that Venis is too hot for WWE 2K24 as well. Or, perhaps they are omitting him for an entirely different reason.

While logging onto Twitter/X, Val Venis sent out his disapproval of the new 2K video game. He stated that he is not in the game, and then he threw out the idea that WWE may be trying to erase him from history.

So the Val Venis character is not in WWE 2K24? I could be wrong, but it appears my body of work is being completely erased from the WWE????

    Val Venis’ Conspiracy Theories

In case you are wondering, there are plenty of reasons that WWE may want to erase Val Venis from the company’s history. Most of those reasons can be traced back to his very shadow-banned Twitter/X account.

In the past, Venis has called out The Rock for selling his soul. He has also made a terrible conspiracy theory filled claim about Bray Wyatt’s passing, as well as Triple H and Keith Lee’s cardiac issues. Needless to say, the company has their reasons for nixing the Big Valbowski from 2K24.

He also made it clear that he’s not taking any more pro wrestling bookings due to “LGBTQ+++XYZ Nutjobs.” Needless to say, he’s very controversial.

In case you’re wondering, Val Venis doesn’t need pro wrestling to make a living anymore. He claims to be doing very well in the cannabis industry, as he has always been an advocate to end marijuana prohibition.

    WWE 2K24 Nixing Controversial Figures

It was previously noted that 2k is removing certain people late in the game, no pun intended. Efforts are underway to nix Vince McMahon from the upcoming game, although that might prove difficult.

Brock Lesnar is also being erased from the WWE 2K24 game. His image was removed from the Forty Years of WrestleMania cover art this morning. He was also not included in any footage from the gameplay footage that dropped, either.

  • Brock Lesnar Removed From WWE 2K24 ‘Forty Years Of WrestleMania’ Cover Art

Brock Lesnar’s name did not appear in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. However, the mention of a former UFC Heavyweight Champion negotiating a new contract with WWE raised concerns for Lesnar. Now, he is being erased.

WWE 2K24 Taking out Brock Lesnar

2K has already removed Lesnar from their SuperCard mobile game, and it appears he will not be featured in WWE 2K24. It was also reported that they will make efforts to remove him from the game.

Now, those changes are being seen. A new cover of the Forty Years of WrestleMania is out, and Lesnar is gone, He was replaced by John Cena on the cover. They did not add anyone to the new cover, but they shuffled things around to make Cena larger and take the Beast Incarnate out.

The lawsuit from Grant alleges that Lesnar requested a video of Grant urinating and proposed a “play date” as part of his contract negotiations. Despite the date not materializing as planned, the lawsuit alleges it eventually occurred.

What’s Next For Brock Lesnar in WWE

Brock Lesnar didn’t make his planned WWE return during the 2024 Royal Rumble event after Janel Grant’s lawsuit dropped. There is a belief that he may not be back.

Lesnar made big money for WWE for years. There is an assumption in WWE that if Vince McMahon was still in charge, then Lesnar would be booked despite the allegations against him. Of course, Vince is the reason why Lesnar is in this situation in the first place now.

As of this writing, Lesnar’s camp has not responded to this lawsuit. Vince already denied everything, and Johnny Ace is claiming to be a victim in the situation.

  • Efforts To Remove Brock Lesnar From WWE 2K24 Are Underway

Efforts To Remove Brock Lesnar From WWE 2K24 Are Underway

Brock Lesnar didn’t make his planned WWE return after Janel Grant’s lawsuit dropped. There is a belief that he may not be back, and gamers anticipating laying out their friends with Lesnar’s F5 in WWE 2k24 might be a bit bummed right now.

    Allegations Against Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was not named in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis. A former UFC Heavyweight Champion who was working on a new contract with WWE was mentioned, and that was not a good look for Lesnar.

It is alleged that the Beast Incarnate wanted a video of Grant urinating, and then he wanted a “play date” as part of his new contract. The date couldn’t be arranged, but it happened, according to the damning allegations in the lawsuit.

Brock Lesnar Getting Erased By 2K

2K Already nixed Lesnar from their SuperCard mobile game. Now, the former Universal Champion is seemingly out of WWE 2K24. Mike Johnson reported on PW Insider that 2k is making strides to remove Lesnar from the game

It would appear that 2K, as a licensee for WWE, is following the company’s lead after WWE backed off on using Lesnar last weekend at the Royal Rumble event.

“Going forward, PWInsider.com has been told by sources familiar to the matter that we should expect to see Lesnar downplayed (if not outright removed as he was in the Supercard game) as much as possible going forward by 2K and potentially other licensees.”

Lesnar was scheduled to make his return and kick off his WrestleMania season storyline. However, in light of the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis a few days prior, the company decided to ‘withdraw’ Lesnar’s participation.

    WWE’s Plan For Brock Lesnar

WWE planned for Brock Lesnar to face Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber and then GUNTHER at WrestleMania. The company was forced to figure out other things after Lesnar was pulled from creative.

Although Bron Breakker replaced Lesnar in the Royal Rumble match, and solidified his main roster call-up, I was told that he is not getting Lesnar’s planned matches at Chamber and Mania. I also exclusively reported that he will be on the RAW brand when he gets things going.
