“I’ve been working non-stop over the last few months to deliver a product that’s as classic and as great as I am….and I have,” said Chris Jericho. “After you get a taste of A Little Bit of the Bubbly, normal wine, beer and even vodka will taste like swill. Jon Moxley Talks Renee Young’s Reaction To His AEW Full Gear Match With Kenny Omega

Jon Moxley recently spoke with 101WKQX’s Kevin Kellam in Chicago where he discussed his latest match that aired on a pay-per-view presented by AEW.

He beat Kenny Omega in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match that took place at the AEW Full Gear PPV. This contest saw them use everything from shatter glasses to barbed wire weapons.

During the show, Moxley’s wife, Renee Young, made her feelings known about the match in a series of posts on Twitter.

Moxley was asked how the conversation with Young went after the match, which he stated that she was “Over-dramatic, come on, like. it comes with the territory, you know what I mean?

You sign the contract, we’re together forever and I will love you forever, but you’ve got to understand that if you’re one of my friends or loved ones, especially if you’re my wife, you’re going to deal with some moments where we things get a little cringey and weird.”

Jon Moxley Speculated To Return To NJPW For Wrestle Kingdom 14

Moxley stated that he tends to fly close to the flame sometimes not just in wrestling but life. He makes better decisions now compared to his poor decisions in his younger days. He stated that you’re going to have their moments as it’s part of a marriage.

“I could roll my bike down a mountain tomorrow and break my neck, you know what I mean? These things are constantly on the precipice of happening.”

Young saw his comments and reacted by writing the following:

Marty Scurll Will Be At Final Battle, Latest On His Future With ROH

Marty Scurll has announced that he will compete at the upcoming Ring of Honor Final Battle pay-per-view on December 13th from Baltimore, MD. Scurll will team up with Flip Gordon in a match against Bandido and Flamita.

You can view Scurll’s announcement below, which was filmed from a Cracker Barrel:

Marty Scurll’s contract with Ring of Honor is set to expire at the end of this month. He is rumored to be joining All Elite Wrestling, but there is still a possibility that WWE makes him a strong offer to join NXT.

He has also expressed interest in wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling, which would help ROH’s chances of re-signing him.

Marty Scurll owns the name of his “Villain Club” faction and could theoretically form a new incarnation of that group wherever he goes next.

  • Chris Jericho on CM Punk’s Return To WWE: “No One Really Cares”

Chris Jericho on CM Punk’s Return To WWE: “No One Really Cares”

AEW World Champion Chris Jericho recently spoke with Uproxx to promote his new Christmas song, a hard-rock version of Father Christmas by the Kinks. Proceeds from the single are being donated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Funding. You can hear the song at the bottom of this article.

Of course, pro wrestling was a major topic of discussion during the interview. When asked about CM Punk’s return to WWE television, Jericho says he can’t believe what a letdown it was and how little buzz there has been.

“It’s a long time coming,” Jericho said. “We knew there would be a Mötley Crüe reunion and we knew CM Punk would come back to wrestling. It was just a matter of time. I think he came back with more of a sigh than a scream.”

“It seems kinda funny that he came back on a show that drew 150,000 viewers where it could have been 5 million viewers,” he added. “But if it’s part of the process to slowly wean him into the wrestling business, then good.”

Chris Jericho says, “WWE sure needs” Punk, because this business is built on star power. He says “Good for him for coming back” but believes that CM Punk’s return was nowhere near as big as it could have been or should have been.

“He’s back for the first time in five years and no one really cares,” said Jericho. “But I’m sure it will lead to more. I don’t see how it can’t.”

It’s no secret that CM Punk had some talks with All Elite Wrestling about joining them. That may still happen, but it seems like a long-shot at this point – especially with Seth Rollins repeatedly calling out CM Punk for a match at WrestleMania.

Jericho admits that Punk would have been a nice addition to AEW, but they don’t need him. “I’m not disappointed,” said Jericho. “I know there were some conversations, but Punk’s his own guy. Could we have used him? Yes. Does it hurt us to not have him? No, not at all.”

  • The Young Bucks: Tony Khan Has Final Say On AEW Booking

The Young Bucks: Tony Khan Has Final Say On AEW Booking

Matt & Nick Jackson are both Executive Vice Presidents of AEW. In the end, however, it is Tony Khan who has final say over wins and losses.

According to recent comments made by Nick Jackson to Monsters and Critics, if Khan didn’t have that control, the Young Bucks would have suffered even more losses recently than they already have.

“I feel like most of the audience that we have, have seen the Young Bucks wrestle and has seen Cody, has seen Kenny, and the acts like that,” Nick Jackson explained. “So, it’s important for us to help out the lesser acts that haven’t been on television at all or the mainstream audience hasn’t seen. Like you mentioned, Matt and I wrestling Private Party. I felt like, and I think the whole company agreed with us, after that match, we got backstage and we felt like we made those guys into stars overnight.”

In the short history of AEW, the Bucks have already dropped matches to Private Party, the Lucha Bros, and Proud and Powerful.

“It’s funny because we have this argument with Tony all the time,” Nick continued. “And Tony was right about it. He goes, ‘if I didn’t have final say on who wins and who loses, you guys would be 0-10 by now.’ It’s true because, in a very selfish business, Matt and I have never really been selfish. We’ve always looked out for other talents and other wrestlers because we almost get more out of helping others than helping ourselves at this point.”

  • Kenny Omega Addresses Criticisms Leveled At AEW Women’s Roster

Kenny Omega Addresses Criticisms Leveled At AEW Women’s Roster

All Elite Wrestling’s Kenny Omega has addressed criticisms lobbied at the promotion’s utilization of women’s division. Omega, who is also one of the promotion’s Executive Vice Presidents, helps to oversee their women’s division and has been key in hiring Joshi talent.

Speaking on Wrestler Observer Radio, Omega explained how one of his main focuses in AEW was to showcase Japanese talent who haven’t had the opportunity be seen on a global scale.

“There hasn’t been much exposure of Stardom on a worldwide scale, but people know who they are, mainly due to Kairi Sane and Io Shirai,” he said. “Since their NXT debuts, people have dug a little deeper and gone back to the roots and seen what Stardom is all about. I’m sure they’ve gained fans through that, but there are other styles of Joshi wrestling and other talent that people haven’t seen, that don’t wrestle for Stardom. These are the people I want to introduce to the world.”

He continued, “But it’s not the be-all, end-all because there are all sorts of flavors of wrestling. I want to be the one, as best as I can, to show the variety in that.”

    Division Criticisms

Omega explained that he is fighting for the AEW women’s roster to be featured more prominently on Dynamite and Dark. He shouldered some of the blame for this, noting how his angle with Jon Moxley took a lot of time on the show away from female talent.

“At the end of the day, there’s only so much time in an episode. It’s almost amazing how fast it gets eaten up. We haven’t been able to focus on women as much as I’d like. Some of it has been availability. We have girls signed and hopping on board. I hate to say ‘wait til 2020,’ but I can safely say in 2020 there are going to be interesting and exciting signings that will shake up the division. As soon as we have a women’s tag division, that will balance (things) more and give the women more of a stage. Once there’s that ‘thing’ for them to fight for, you’re going to see more time devoted per episode for the women.”

Omega recently lost to Moxley in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match at AEW’s last pay-per-view, Full Gear.

  • Shad Khan Talks About AEW’s Early Success, Tony’s Vision

Shad Khan Talks About AEW’s Early Success, Tony’s Vision

Owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Fulham F.C, and All Elite Wrestling, Shad Khan spoke with Forbes recently about his investment in the wrestling industry.

When asked if All Elite Wrestling was his idea or his son Tony’s, Shad says it was Tony’s idea and has been pleasantly surprised by the promotion’s early success.

“This is one of those cases where, as a father, you don’t mind being wrong,” he said. “Obviously my son Tony, who had passion for it, this was his idea and God’s blessed us, we have the financial means, and we’ll try it. You get to a stage in life where you can fail and it’s not life-threatening and this was one of those. I am as surprised as anybody.”

Khan was then asked what drew him into thinking wrestling was something he could invest in.

“The golden age of wrestling would be in the late 90s when you had two competitive leagues, WCW and WWF, and we know wrestling is scripted but what was definitely unscripted, real, was the competition between the leagues. In those days you had 10 million hardcore wrestling fans, today there are probably 2 million or less. So there was an audience that was underserved.”

The Shad Khan interview can be viewed in the player below, with his comments about AEW taking place around the 11-minute mark. If the embed does not work, visit Forbes.com.

In addition to wrestling talk, he also speaks about his investment in the new Black News channel (which debuted earlier this month), his other investments and more.

  • Tony Khan Says He Expected The Backlash To Moxley vs Omega

Tony Khan Says He Expected The Backlash To Moxley vs Omega

Tony Khan says that AEW management expected some backlash to the Lights Out match between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley on the Full Gear PPV. Khan recently spoke to the WINCLY Podcast about the match.

“I expected it and that’s why we put it on PPV. We would never do anything like this on TV. Our friends at TNT know what we’re trying to do in putting hardcore matches in the main events of PPVs. There’s gonna be two wrestlers that wanna settle it so we’re not gonna sanction it. We’re gonna turn the lights off and turn a blind eye to it and not be liable for what occurs in the ring,” Khan said on the show.

“I think it’s a very logical thing and I’m not surprised that people are shocked. I think most people did love it. It got a huge amount of interest and it did exactly what we wanted it to do which was start a conversation. To me, I absolutely loved it.”

Moxley defeated Omega after Omega missed a Phoenix Splash and crashed headfirst into the exposed ring boards, allowing Moxley to hit his finish for the win.

Khan also mentioned during the interview that he gets more nervous for AEW events than he does for Fulham F.C or Jacksonville Jaguars games.

“At my heart, I love wrestling more than anything else. People ask me if I get nervous and I get a lot more nervous before a Jaguars or Fulham game. But I get more excited and have more fun at AEW than anything else.”

  • Orange Cassidy Opens Up (Kind Of) Regarding AEW Roster

Orange Cassidy Opens Up (Kind Of) Regarding AEW Roster

AEW’s Orange Cassidy was recently interviewed by veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter. During the interview, Cassidy opened up (sort of) regarding his feelings toward several wrestlers on the AEW roster.

Apter brought up Billy Gunn’s performance in the recent Diamond Dozen battle royal. He asked Cassidy what he would like to say about Billy Gunn:

“Nothing,” Cassidy replied. He would admit that Gunn looked good in the match, however.

Apter then asked Cassidy about Chris Jericho:

    “Good,” Cassidy said in response.

Apter then asked Cassidy if he’d had some issues with Cody Rhodes:

“No, we’re all good,” Cassidy responded.

    On PAC:

“Oh, he kicked me in the face,” Cassidy responded.

    On Kenny Omega:

    “Good,” Cassidy said.

    On Hangman Page:

    “Good,” Cassidy responded.

Cassidy would finally give more than a one-word response when Apter brought up if he would like to wrestle Maxwell Jacob Friedman, however.

    “Absolutely not,” Cassidy responded.

“I don’t like MJF,” Cassidy said when Apter asked why he wouldn’t want to wrestle him. “Have you seen him? I don’t want to talk about MJF anymore.”

    On Jon Moxley:

“I’m going to stay away from Moxley,” Cassidy said. “I don’t know, I stay away from him.”

    On Darby Allin:

“Stay away from him,” Cassidy responded.

    On Marko Stunt:

    “Fine,” Cassidy said.

  • DDP Set To Present The Dynamite Diamond Ring This Week On AEW: Dynamite

DDP Set To Present The Dynamite Diamond Ring This Week On AEW: Dynamite

WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) will be on hand for this Wednesday night’s episode of AEW: Dynamite. DDP will present the Dynamite Diamond Ring to the winner of Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) versus “Hangman” Adam Page. MJF and Page were the last two wrestlers in last week’s Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. This earned them the opportunity at the ring.

Despite not officially being a part of the All Elite roster, DDP has made frequent appearances for the promotion. He is often associated with or accompanying Cody Rhodes. DDP recently explained his working relationship to AEW, stressing how he is happy at the current opportunities available to wrestlers across the industry.

“I’m happy for all the guys,” DDP stated. “It’s a great way, great to have more guys be a part and someone like Cody Rhodes to be at the helm of this thing. I don’t charge them anything. I don’t have a contract with AEW. I don’t.”

He has confessed that, despite feeling physically great, he doesn’t want to risk injury or to set himself back due to a physical appearance at one of their shows. Because of this, he doesn’t believe another match is on the horizon for him. He did add, however, that he has plenty of Diamond Cutters left in him.

  • Kenny Omega Explains Recent Losing Streak

Kenny Omega Explains Recent Losing Streak

In the short history of AEW, Kenny Omega has already lost matches to Chris Jericho, PAC, and Jon Moxley. AEW’s ‘Best Bout Machine’ finally broke into the weekly AEW Rankings this week, sitting at #5 in the men’s singles division with a 6-4 overall record.

Omega discussed the reasoning behind his recent losses on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio with Jim Valley and Dave Meltzer.

“It’s no secret that I’ve sort of opted – I wouldn’t say ‘take a back seat’ – I love performing, I love being on every show as much as I can, I like to contribute, I always want to contribute where I can,” Omega said.

“But we have so many new faces and each and every one of them that we have on our roster there’s a star, there is star quality. It’s unfortunate that not every single one of them can be on TV and they can’t get a crap tonne of time and I’m just a very patient guy. I know my time will come.”

Omega would continue to say he feels that AEW has made the right choices so far.

“I do think we’ve made the right moves right now. I do think that having Chris Jericho as our first champ was the right decision and I think that keeping Moxley incredibly strong – if you’ve seen his reactions in the live house, the people love him,” Omega continued. “I think that’s the right direction for him too.”

“I think that right now for me to be what people kind of expected that I would be off the get-go, which is just New Japan copy-and-paste Kenny Omega, I just don’t feel the timing’s right.”

Kenny Omega is scheduled to face top-ranked wrestler PAC next week on AEW Dynamite from Chicago, IL.

AEW noted that Havoc will be fined $10,000 each and every time he uses a staple gun in a match. It’s not clear if this includes hardcore or lights out matches as well, however.

Eric Bischoff Thinks AEW Using Bash At The Beach Theme Is A Bad Choice

Eric Bischoff has sounded off on AEW securing the rights to the Bash at the Beach trademark and using it for a special episode of their weekly television show on TNT, Dynamite.

During the latest episode of After 83 Weeks with Christy Olson, Bischoff was asked what his thoughts are on AEW using the Bash at the Beach theme.

“I have mixed emotions about it. I kind of understand it, but I also think it’s a bad choice. AEW…needs to find their own vision. They need to become their own brand. They need to become their own entity. They need to find the way that they’re really going to become the alternative. The more often they go back and kind of try to recreate the success of WCW, and align themselves with WCW’s success, I think they’re missing the mark.”

AEW Bash at the Beach: 9 Day Event Includes Jericho Cruise, 2 Episodes of Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling has already announced that they will air the January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite live on TNT with a special Bash At The Beach theme from Miami, Florida at the Watsco Center at the University of Miami.

WCW used the theme for pay-per-view events from 1994-2000 that was mostly held in Florida outside of two years.

Tony Khan On CM Punk Tagging Him And Vince McMahon In The Same Tweet

CM Punk gave a little preview of his WWE Backstage role before the airing of this week’s episode of the show when he tagged both Vince McMahon and Tony Khan in one tweet about catching up on the recent happenings of the wrestling world.

During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, the AEW President talked about a number of things and also revealed his thoughts on this move from the former World Champion

Khan first explained how he has never brought Punk’s name in any of the interviews by himself and discussing the Straight Edge Star’s tweet, he claimed that he is not sure why he was tagged:

“I haven’t talked to him in a long time. I wish him the best and am not sure why he tagged me but it’s hard to talk about all of the great things happening in wrestling without talking about AEW.”

Khan also spoke about his mentions of Punk saying that he tries to be very honest whenever he is asked a question in media scrums and claimed that he has never tried to lead anyone to believe that the WWE star will be doing anything with AEW.

Apart from this, Tony Khan also revealed how AEW managed to secure the Bash At The Beach trademark made famous by WCW. You can check out his comments on the matter at this link.

Chris Jericho To Defend AEW World Title On Dynamite Next Week

AEW announced on the latest episode of Dynamite that their World Champion Chris Jericho will be defending his title in a singles match at next Wednesday’s episode of the show.

This week’s episode of the show saw Chris Jericho coming out with fellow Inner Circle member Jake Hager and he announced that he will be having a “Chris Jericho’s Thanksgiving Thank You Celebration” on next week’s episode of the show.

However, he was interrupted by Scorpio Sky and the rest of the SCU. Sky reminded the Champion how he pinned him during a tag team match at last week’s episode of Dynamite, which was Jericho’s first loss in AEW.

The trio then managed to get Chris to agree to a singles match against Scorpio for next week with the former WWE star putting his world title on the line:

The segment ended with a brawl between SCU and Inner Circle Members with Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, and Jurassic Express making the save for SCU.

Though this is not the only match announced for the show and the company has also confirmed that Kenny Omega will face Pac in an All Out rematch on Dymaite next week.

On the other hand, MJF will compete against Adam Page with the winner receiving the AEW Diamond Ring on next week’s episode of the show.

MJF & Hangman Page Will Battle Next Week

12 wrestlers competed in a Diamond Dozen Battle Royal. The final two wrestlers will compete next week for the diamond ring. Chuck Taylor threw Pentagon out first after Christopher Daniels provided a distraction.

Sunny Kiss twerked in front of Billy Gunn but was quickly thrown out by MJF. Billy Clotheslined Jimmy Havoc to the outside and then launched Marko Stunt to the outside. Jimmy Havoc hopped back into the ring with a staple gun and started attacking everyone in sight until referees escorted him out of the ring.

Shawn Spears rushed the ring and hit Janela while he was on the top rope and Joey fell to the floor and was eliminated. Orange Cassidy hit Billy Gunn with a couple of kicks but MJF broke it up and launched him out of the ring.

Billy Gunn told MJF to suck it and hit the Fameasser. Wardlow was shown making his way through the crowd and Billie Gunn was eliminated during the distraction. Penelope Ford tripped up Chuck Taylor and Kip Sabian capitalized with an Enziguri that eliminated Chuck.

Jungle Boy eliminated Sabian with a Hurricanrana and then MJF eliminated him to end the Battle Royal. Hangman will battle MJF next week on Dynamite.

This Battle Royal was entertaining but I have no idea why I should care about a diamond ring. I didn’t hear an explanation of why it was significant other than it is an expensive ring. This is equivalent to the Best in the World trophies given out WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows. They are meaningless. Hopefully AEW explains why we should care before the match between Hangman and MJF next week.

Jericho Will Defend The AEW Championship Against Scorpio Sky Next Week

AEW Champion Chris Jericho came down to the ring with Jake Hager to make an announcement. Jericho stated that his actions last week after losing wasn’t conduct that a champion should show. Chris tried to apologize but couldn’t bring himself to say the word. Hager then said sorry for him for the rest of the promo.

    https://twitter.com/tde_wrestling/status/1197334013066797058?s=20

Jericho announced that he will finally get the thank you that he deserves next week on Dynamite. Chris added that he is glad that the celebration is next week in Chicago instead of tonight in Indianapolis.

AEW Tag Champions SCU interrupted and made their way down to the ring. Scorpio Sky told Jericho that it takes a paragon of virtue to admit that they are wrong and apologize. Sky pointed out that Jericho didn’t mention that he pinned him and handed Chris his first loss in AEW.

The crowd loudly chanted “you got pinned!” as Scorpio Sky stated that it was the biggest moment of his life. Sky added that his high school crush, Melanie Parsons, reached out to him after the win and they are going out next week.

Scorpio Sky told Jericho that he never meant to embarrass him. Chris told Sky that he has seen Melania Parsons and she has gained a lot of weight since high school. Sky then joked that he likes big butts and he cannot lie and the crowd popped.

    https://twitter.com/tde_wrestling/status/1197335344741531649?s=20

Jericho vowed to wipe the floor with him in a singles match. Scorpio Sky played mind games with Jericho and said that he didn’t want a title match next week. Jericho made it official and Sky told Chris that he was going to turn Le Champion into Le Bitch next week on Dynamite.

Inner Circle rushed the ring and beat SCU down. Jericho hit Sky with the Judas Effect and raised the AEW Championship in the corner. Luchasaurus got in the ring and got in a stare down with Jake Hager. Jake retreated along with Inner Circle as Dynamite went to a commercial break. Luchasuarus then quickly defeated Peter Avalon in a singles match.

I thought this promo was great and the match next week should be entertaining. Scorpio Sky had some very good lines during this segment and Jericho’s inability to say the word “sorry” was also hilarious.

Private Party Picked Up A Win & Dustin Rhodes Returned

Santana & Ortiz battled Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) tonight on Dynamite. The two teams paid tribute to Matt Travis before the match.

Proud & Powerful dominated the match early and isolated Quen in the ring. Santana hit a German Suplex and went for the cover but Kassidy broke it up. Ortiz tagged in held up Quen for a Suplex for ages. Santana tagged in and continued to hold him up before tagging Ortiz back in and he finally hit a the Suplex for a near fall.

When Dynamite returned from the break, Marq Quen was finally able to tag in Kassidy. Isiah hit a Moonsault onto Santana outside the ring and posed for the crowd. Kassidy planted Ortiz with the Code Red and went for the cover but Ortiz was not the legal man.

Santana tagged in and hit Kassidy with a kick to the face and followed it up with a Cutter for a near fall. Santana brought in the sock full of coins but Nick Jackson ran down to the ring and ripped it away from him. Private Party then hit Gin & Juice for the pinfall victory. Sammy Guevara attacked Nick Jackson but Dustin Rhodes made the save.

    Jon Moxley Outlasted Darby Allin

Jon Moxley squared off against Darby Allin in the main event of this week’s show. Allin absolutely leveled Moxley with a Suicide Dive as he made his way to the ring. Allin and Moxley battled through the crowd before the match as the crowd chanted “AEW!”.

    https://twitter.com/tde_wrestling/status/1197345882926129152?s=20

Allin unloaded a flurry of shots to Jon’s face but Moxley battled back and threw Darby to the floor. Moxley launched Allin into the ring post and followed it up with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Jon rolled Darby into the ring and the match officially started.

Allin went for a Crossbody but Jon blocked it and hit a massive Dropkick that sent Darby flying into the turnbuckle. Allin sent Moxley out of the ring with a Dropkick as dueling “lets go Moxley!” and “lets go Darby!” chants broke out. Moxley connected with a Suplex and Darby rolled to the apron.

Jon hit a knee to the face and knocked Allin to the floor outside the ring. Moxley grabbed the body bag that Allin brought to the ring but Darby leaped the ropes and flipped onto him. Allin brought the body bag into the ring but Moxley turned him inside out with a Clothesline.

Moxley put Allin in the body bag and zipped it up. Moxley stomped the hell out of Darby before the referee got in the way. The referee unzipped the body bag and Darby hit a Stunner. Moxley battled back with a slam and went for the Paradigm Shift but Allin escaped into a roll-up for a two count.

Darby climbed to the top rope and went for the Coffin Drop but Moxley countered into a Sleeper Hold. Darby escaped and both wrestlers battled on the top turnbuckle. Moxley bit Allin’s face and hit him with a ridiculous Paradigm Shift off the ropes for the pinfall victory.

Another week, another great episode of Dynamite for AEW. These shows absolutely fly by and I look forward to them every week. Darby Allin has already become one of the more popular wrestlers in AEW and delivered an awesome match with Moxley tonight. One of my favorite things about AEW is how well they build up the following week’s show throughout each episode.

Tony Khan Shares How AEW Secured Bash At The Beach Trademark

AEW President Tony Khan made an appearance on the WINCLY podcast where he discussed a wide range of topics including the cool announcement made earlier this week about AEW using the Bash at the Beach trademark for an upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.

In this interview, Khan noted how it was AEW executive Cody Rhodes who was able to secure the trademark among other trademarks.

“Cody went on a trademark binge one night and he texted me, ‘Conrad and I were up all night trademarking stuff.’ One of the things that came out of it was Bash at the Beach. So, when he said that we thought of a way to use it… and the unique idea was to go to Miami in January,” said Khan.

AEW will air the January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite live on TNT with a special Bash At The Beach theme from Miami, Florida at the Watsco Center at the University of Miami.

As part of the nine-day experience for superfans, AEW will tape the Tuesday, January 21st episode onboard the Jericho Cruise and the show will air the following night, January 22nd on TNT.

Khan mentioned how the promotion was able to get the trademark, which was the original rights to the trademark had lapsed. He brought up how MLW did the same thing with the WarGames trademark before they sold it back to WWE.

Khan added that Daytona Beach is a great market for AEW and he looks forward to getting down there soon.

Chris Jericho Reveals What Would Make Him Leave Pro Wrestling

AEW Champion Chris Jericho has broken down the scenario that would need to transpire for him to leave pro wrestling.

Speaking with the Pacific Rim podcast, “Le Champion” discussed competing and traveling on a reduced schedule. He highlighted how he has only performed in-ring on a handful of occasions in 2018, listing matches for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, WWE and a match on his cruise. Jericho admitted he likes wrestling on this reduced schedule, especially when compared to the demands of his former employer, WWE. He noted how he has competed about 10-12 times this year but is more than happy with this schedule.

“I think if I continue with that schedule, I may be able to continue to work at this level for years to come,” Jericho said. “For me, people will say ‘well, how much longer can you do this?’ or ‘how long do you plan to do this?’ I never think about it that way. To me, it’s I’m just Chris Jericho and I’ll continue to do what I’ve always done and when I start feeling like I’m not at the level or, doing the best segment of the show or having one of the best matches on the show, I’ll stop but that hasn’t happened yet.”

Jericho recently defeated Cody Rhodes, successfully defending his AEW Championship at the promotion’s last pay-per-view, Full Gear.

Cody Rhodes Denies Texting AEW Offer To CM Punk

The debate between CM Punk and AEW officials on offering Punk a spot in the company via a text message has been an interesting topic of discussion and both the parties have their own version of the story.

Many AEW officials have claimed in the past that they had proper offers sent to the former WWE Champion and one of the company’s EVPs Cody Rhodes recently repeated his words again.

Cody recently exchanged words with a fan on Twitter and replying to a comment about Punk, he again explained that he never sent anybody an offer via a text:

CM Punk On Getting Offered An AEW Deal Via Text

The whole debacle started when CM Punk spoke to ESPN back in July ahead of his Starrcast interview during the All Out weekend. At the time, people had been wondering whether the appearance could lead to him joining the Elite at the PPV.

When asked about his relationship with the company officials, Punk had gone on record and claimed that he got a text offer from Cody which he didn’t know how to reply to:

“The last thing I got — I got a text from Cody [Rhodes]. And again, I almost don’t even know how to reply to them sometimes, because if I reply, they do interviews and are like, “Oh yeah, I just talked to Punk.”

I’m kind of damned if I do, damned if I don’t. I always think if somebody wants to do business with me, they can come talk to me. Texting offers isn’t really a way to do good business, at least.”

When asked if it was a specific offer for an All Out appearance, the Straight Edge Star revealed that it was a general offer that was texted to him through three people.

Tony Khan Mentions WWE’s Saudi Arabia Travel Woes In Response To CM Punk

It didn’t take AEW President Tony Khan long to respond to CM Punk and it got people talking on social media as a result.

On Monday afternoon, Punk sent out a tweet on his official Twitter account hyping his scheduled appearance on WWE Backstage this Tuesday night on FOX Sports 1. In doing so, he tagged Khan.

CM Punk Vows To Pull No Punches On WWE Backstage

Khan saw the tweet and responded by writing the following as well as taking a jab at WWE’s recent travel issues in Saudi Arabia:

“No one is safe? Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!”

It was just reported last week that Punk was offered a lot of money by AEW when he had an in-person meeting with Khan. Instead of signing with the rival promotion, Punk signed with FOX Sports to be a special correspondent on WWE Backstage. The former WWE Champion isn’t under contract with WWE.

Regarding the Saudi Arabia travel issues that Khan was referring to, earlier this month, the majority of the WWE crew had their flights delayed in Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel event.

There were reports that some stars felt unsafe while waiting to leave the country for over 24 hours because they didn’t know what was going on.

While WWE officials have publicly stated that the reason for the delays was due to mechanical issues, there are some stars who felt that there was more to the delays than just those issues.

Chris Jericho Comments On How Much Longer He Plans To Wrestle

AEW World Champion Chris Jericho was recently interviewed by Jim Valley and Fumi Saito for the Pacific Rim podcast. During the conversation, Jericho was asked how much longer the 48-year-old plans to wrestle for.

“When you talk about 2018, I just did I think I believe 4-5 matches. I did the 3 matches with New Japan, I did one for WWE, and one on the cruise and that was about it,” Jericho said. “I liked that schedule. This year was basically the same, I think I’ve probably done 10-12 matches and that’s good for me.”

Jericho would then continue to say if he can work a reduced schedule, he has many more years of wrestling ahead of him.

“I think if I continue with that schedule, I may be able to continue to work at this level for years to come,” Jericho said. “For me, people will say ‘well, how much longer can you do this?’ or ‘how long do you plan to do this?’ I never think about it that way.
