Another high-profile match has been signed for All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view offering, Full Gear.
Last week, on AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho’s ‘Inner Circle’ henchmen Santana & Ortiz challenged The Young Bucks to a match at the November 9th Baltimore PPV. After scoring a victory over the Best Friends on Wednesday’s TNT broadcast, Nick and Matt Jackson officially accepted.
This feud was set up at the All Out event from the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL back in August when Ortiz and Santana attacked The Young Bucks following their Ladder Match against the Lucha Bros. This marked the debut of Ortiz and Santana.
The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, November 9th from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland and has already sold out.
The event is expected to begin at 8 p.m. ET and stream live in the United States on the B/R Live, which is Bleacher Report’s streaming service, traditional PPV outlets, and FITE TV in international markets. Here is the updated card:

Fans now know the teams who will be in the finals of the tournament that will determine who will be crowned the inaugural AEW Tag Team Champions as those teams have been revealed.
The semi-finals of the tournament took place on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The pair of the matches saw The Dark Order take on SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) while Private Party took on Lucha Bros.
As seen on the show, Lucha Bros and SCU won their respective matches. As a result, the finals have been determined.
The finals will see Lucha Bros taking on SoCal Uncensored to find out who will be the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions.
The finals of the tournament will take place on the fifth AEW on TNT episode in Charleston, WV at the Charleston Coliseum that will see the first-ever AEW World Tag Team Champions be crowned.
Previously announced for this show was the fact that Jon Moxley will be in action and likely further his program against Kenny Omega.
Also, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho will be in non-title competition. More matches will be announced shortly.
Shhhhh… “the Librarian” Peter Avalon was Chris Jericho’s latest guest on Talk is Jericho. The interview was recorded before AEW Dynamite premiered on TNT but was just released recently. During the conversation, Avalon detailed the origin of the Librarian gimmick.
“At a Bar Wrestling show, we were downstairs at the Bootleg. I was with Ray Rosas and we were getting ready to have our match and Cody came downstairs and so did the Young Bucks and they wanted to speak with me, and they had this idea and they pitched this Librarian idea to me. And then we just stayed connected and eventually I had a contract emailed to me,” Avalon said on the show.
Avalon also detailed his first meeting with the Young Bucks during his conversation with Chris Jericho. According to Avalon, the Bucks were causing quite a disturbance in the library the first time they met.
“The Young Bucks were in the library reading their book to a series of kindergarteners. I came up and told them that they have to stop throwing kicks at other librarians. Then we just started connecting, we stayed connected, they stopped super-kicking my additional librarians and we just stayed connected and here I am.”
“They have kicked kids, they have kicked librarians, its something else,” Avalon continued.
He would later detail the actual story:
“I was fortunate enough to meet the Young Bucks at a training when I was first training 6 months into my training. They came to a couple of classes and we rolled around and we kind of stayed connected.”

All Elite Wrestling commentator Jim Ross recently shared his thoughts on people who were critical of his commentary. He recently introduced AEW wrestler Jungle Boy as “Jungle Boy Jack Perry,” which elicited a negative reaction from some fans. Now Jungle Boy himself has weighed in on the introduction.
Speaking with Collider, Jungle Boy admitted that just hearing Jim Ross say his name is a positive experience. He added that if that’s what Ross wants to call him, then “that’s cool with me.”
“Things are a bit different now than when I first kinda started it. […] I feel like I got here, at least, kind of on my own merits. For me, honestly, to even hear Jim Ross say my name is cool. That’s the voice of wrestling to me. ‘Cause when I grew up watching wrestling, he was the guy,” he explained.
Jungle Boy added, “If that had happened at an earlier age and it were someone else, I probably would have said ‘Can you not do that?’ But I’m not gonna say that to Jim. If that’s what it sounds like to him, that’s cool with me.”
Jungle Boy recently teamed with Jurassic Express partner Marko Stunt on AEW: Dynamite. The duo lost to the Lucha Bros. This loss saw them eliminated from the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has taken great pride in establishing itself as an all-inclusive wrestling promotion. This mind-set extends to its backstage mentality, where they promote a collaborative atmosphere.
Speaking with TVInsider, Matt and Nick Jackson addressed cultivating this collaborative atmosphere, highlighting how open-minded they are to ideas in order to make AEW has good as it can be.
“If we’re working with a particular talent, we go to them with, ‘What do you think is best?’” Matt Jackson said. “Jon Moxley has a great mind and something the five of us have seen, he may see differently. He might have a different idea because he knows his character better and those nuances. Same with Pac. What a great mind he has and useful tools he has. Hangman Page, too. It’s not just us.”
He continued, “Chris Jericho, who is a genius, he’ll come up with an idea completely than what we had. Something we’ll call in a production meeting the night before, and he’ll go, ‘No, I think we should do it this way.’ And we listen. That’s what is fun about all this. That’s why it has come across so well the first few episodes because we are open-minded, and our ears are open. We’re willing to adjust and go with the flow.”
Alongside this collaborative workspace, their talent is also trusted to deliver on their promos without scripts. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has previously explained how “There are no writers because that is what wrestling is.”
In a recent interview with TVInsider.com, All Elite Wrestling’s Matt and Nick Jackson discussed their recent loss to Private Party. This loss saw The Young Bucks eliminated from the tag team tournament currently underway to crown the inaugural AEW Tag Team Champions.
Nick Jackson explained that they wanted to face Private Party, knowing that it would be a huge moment for the young team:
“For them to deliver such a great performance four or five years into their professional wrestling career, it was mind-blowing. Isiah is 22-years-old for crying out loud. If I was 22 years old and was in his same spot. If I was about to perform in front of a TNT audience, I would be nervous. You couldn’t read that on both of them. I told Matt afterward that they are obviously ready to become stars.”
His brother, Matt Jackson, added that “It really felt like they belonged. We can talk and plan for months like we did. We set the whole thing up, but sometimes things don’t really happen the same…But sometimes things click.
He continued, “Story was told almost perfectly. I watched the match back, and usually I can’t stand watching my matches back because I’m a bit of a perfectionist. However, for me, with the time given, the story we were able to tell, that is almost as perfect as a match you can have. They played their roles flawlessly. I feel that night they were made. I’m really happy for them.”
Private Party is scheduled to compete against the Lucha Bros in the next round of the AEW Tag Team Tournament tonight on AEW: Dynamite.
All Elite Wrestling returned with episode three of their AEW DARK weekly digital series on Tuesday evening, as they presented their latest episode taped from The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during last week’s AEW Dynamite show.
Featured on this week’s show is a big eight-man tag-team main event pitting The Young Bucks, Cody and Dustin Rhodes against the foursome of CIMA, T-HAWK and Private Party, as well as Nyla Rose vs. Leva Bates and Joey Janela vs. Brandon Cutler.

The show opener airs and then Tony Schiavone introduces us from the studio as we shoot inside The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. and head to the ring for our first of three matches scheduled for this week’s show.
The event also includes the promotional debut of former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling announcer Taz, who is welcomed during match number one, which kicks off this week’s show.
Joey Janela vs. Brandon Cutler
After coming up short in the “Lights Out” main event against Kenny Omega on last week’s episode of AEW DARK from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, Joey Janela returns this week against Brandon Cutler in one-on-one action to kick off this week’s show from the Liacourus Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As the guys make their ring entrances, The Exaclibur introduces to the commentary desk the former voice of WWE SmackDown and IMPACT Wrestling, the former ECW World Champion – “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz. Taz thanks him for the welcome and the announce team gets down to business for this week’s show.
The match was given some time to develop, and after some back-and-forth exchanges we get to the finish of the match. Janela ends up getting Cutler up on the ropes and executes a superplex for the pin fall victory.

Undesirable To Undeniable with Cody Rhodes & QT Marshall
Q-T Marshall (Michael Cuellari) is a guy Cody met at ROH who did a lot of work backstage and seemed super friendly. He helped with ALL IN and became part of the official AEW roster. Cody talks about watching a movie made on him about his attempt to get a job in WWE. Cody then talks about QT Marshall doing a little bit of everything, including wrestling at the upcoming event in Pittsburgh, PA.
Leva Bates (with Peter Avalon) vs. Nyla Rose
Leva Bates and Peter Avalon are out for the second match of this week’s show, as the two cut their usual heel promo as they make their way down to the ring. Bates will be in action, with Avalon in her corner.
Out next is Bates’ opponent — former AEW World Women’s Championship contender Nyla Rose.
This one doesn’t run as long as the Janela-Cutler opener, but it actually turned out pretty well. There was a lot of gimmick stuff from Bates and Avalon throughout.
When all was said-and-done, it was Rose who picked up the “W” after picking up the 1-2-3 following a sit-out power bomb.

Tony Schiavone returns from the AEW Control Center to run down some of the matches for AEW Dynamite this Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, PA. He announces hometown girl Dr. Britt Baker will go one-on-one against Jamie Hader, and that the final four of the AEW Tag-Team Title Tournament will take place. Some video packages air to promote things heading into this week’s AEW on TNT program.
Alex Marvez Interviews SoCal Uncensored
After the video package, Alex Marvez is with SCU — Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian. He asks about the status of Christopher Daniels after AEW Dynamite. They say they don’t know before switching gears to talk about their match against The Dark Order and how they also have their sights set on Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix following their attack of Daniels.

Some video packages and promotional efforts are given to build up the upcoming AEW FULL GEAR pay-per-view. The show features Chris Jericho vs. Cody for the AEW World’s Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

Eight-Man Tag-Team Main Event Cody, Dustin Rhodes & The Young Bucks vs. CIMA, THawk & Private Party
We head back inside The Liacourus Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for this week’s AEW DARK main event. This will be an eight-man tag-team contest.
On one side of the ring we’ve got Cody and Dustin Rhodes joining forces with The Young Bucks — Nick and Matt Jackson. The other side of the ring features CIMA and T-Hawk from Strong Hearts, as well as the team of Private Party — Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen.
The announcers build-up Private Party’s big win over The Young Bucks on AEW Dynamite a couple of weeks ago. Both teams are selling the fact that they had a big battle recently. This match is now officially underway.
This match is actually given a ton of time to develop and featured some incredibly exciting high-spots and fast-paced action, with The Young Bucks and Private Party shining once again throughout much of the contest.
After some time things finally near the finish, which sees a big Curtain Call set up the pin fall victory for the baby face foursome. Cody, Dustin and The Young Bucks get the big win here to close out episode three of AEW DARK.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has uploaded exclusive comments from Kenny Omega after he won the AAA Mega Championship. He defeated former-champion Fenix to claim the gold at AAA’s recent Heroes Immortales XIII event.
The AEW star reaffirmed his belief he is still the best in the world as he shared his thoughts on rival, Jon Moxley. He juxtaposed his ability to win the championship in another promotion to Moxley’s failure in New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax.
“I’m Still The Best In The World”
“I told everybody, and I told everybody that believed in me. Saying what? Oh yeah, I’m still the best in the world. I’m still the only one making records that will never, ever be broken,” he said. “Try and try as you may. I don’t care what the critics say. I don’t care what the popular, in-crowd says. I don’t care what the casual person says. But facts are facts, and the numbers don’t lie. Kenny Omega is, and always has, up until this point, been the best in the world.”
He continued, “And don’t think that I’ve forgotten about you, Moxley. The entire time, I’ve been thinking to myself, ‘what would you do in that situation?’ When you left your comfort zone, when you went to the G1. How did it feel to try and be like me? How did it feel for you to be like everyone else? You know what I’m talking about. There’s foreigners everywhere, they’re desperately trying to be like me, and you are one of them.”
“I didn’t feel that today. I didn’t feel like I was trying to be someone else. This felt like the Kenny Omega of old. This felt like the guy that does whatever he wants, and the things that he does are things no one else can do. And that no one else will ever do again.”
Omega recently teased bringing the Mega Championship back to AEW, suggesting he may even defend the title on their shows. During his promo, Omega added that he thinks his rivalry with Fenix is far from over.

Dark is AEW’s secondary program, but the promotion has not been shy about featuring marquee matches on it. The first two weeks of AEW Dark have seen strong viewership, with both delivering around 900,000 views.
Because AEW Dark airs on Tuesday nights, it gives the promotion as a chance to hype up the next episode of Dynamite to air the following night.
This Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling is set to travel to Pittsburgh, PA at the Petersen Events Center for an all-new episode of Dynamite.
The promotion has already announced several big matches including Jon Moxley vs. PAC in a singles match that will likely serve as the headliner.
Cody Rhodes has commented on the viewership numbers thus far for AEW’s weekly television show, Dynamite on TNT.
He did so when responding to a fan on his official Twitter account who brought up some comments made by Vince Russo on a recent episode of his podcast. Rhodes wrote the following:
“We are happy and our partner is happy. We overshot projections and set a record for a WM debut. This is the era of cord cutting, simulcast and dvr bumps. We are proud of how incredible the numbers have been and know we need to work hard now more than ever.”
While AEW has been off to a great start with Dynamite on TNT for the past three weeks, the viewership numbers for the show have been on a trend down since the premiere episode.
The same goes for NXT on the USA Network, which airs during the same time slot as AEW.
The premiere episode of Dynamite pulled in 1,409,000 while the second episode did 1,140,000 and the third episode, which was last week, averaged 1,014,000.
Rhodes is slated to challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World Title at the Full Gear pay-per-view event next month.
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins says Kenny Omega is playing in the “minor leagues” of professional wrestling.
Rollins appeared at the Fandemic Tour 2019 convention in Houston, TX on Sunday. During a Q&A panel, Rollins was asked about the possibility of wrestling against new AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega. A fan in attendance specifically asked Rollins about wrestling Omega at WWE’s biggest show of the year, WrestleMania.
On several occasions, Rollins has expressed desire to work with Omega. On Sunday, he took the opportunity to knock Kenny Omega’s home promotion, All Elite Wrestling (AEW)
“When Kenny is done playing in the minor league over there, then he can come to work at the absolute top professional wrestling company in the world in front of the most people, to make the most money and have the biggest matches which is with me at WrestleMania.”
Rollins’ remark got a big reaction from the crowd and rightfully so. He has been a staunch advocate of WWE, railing against fans critical of the promotion’s creative direction.
Rollins has also taken several digs at AEW over the past several months. In a media conference call back in July, Rollins scoffed at the idea that AEW could challenge WWE, declaring WWE will ‘knock AEW dead’ just like they do with everyone else.
All Elite Wrestling’s Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has opened up about her personal influences that inspired her to chase her pro wrestling dreams.
Speaking with Wrestlezone, Baker highlighted the recent women’s revolution in WWE as being a significant turning point for her.
“Instead of diving further back to the fandom as a child, more recently when I was training as an independent wrestler, that is really when women’s wrestling took to the forefront and really started this upward rise,” Baker stated.
She continued, “The women’s revolution—evolution—that, for me, major influencing on that was the Four Horsewomen of WWE: Bayley, Becky, Charlotte, and Sasha. And I think all women today, we have them to thank to some extent because, whether you like it or not, they had a huge role in women’s wrestling being where it is today. They fought through the two-minute matches and the 20-second segments. So, for them to kind of stick through it and keep grinding, that really benefits the rest of us.”
Looking to the future, Baker admits that she wants to help AEW continue to innovate and entertain fans. She explained that they are committed to providing an alternative, highlighting that competition is excellent for everyone.
All Elite Wrestling World Champion Chris Jericho was a recent guest on Barstool Breakfast. During the interview, Jericho opened up about whether he ever received advice from WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. He also divulged what he feels are the worst WWE storylines he was a part of.
Recalling his experiences with Flair, Jericho shared that ‘The Nature Boy’ never really gave him any advice or feedback on his matches. Even when asked directly for his thoughts, Jericho stated that Flair would just lie about seeing the match.
“Either he didn’t really say much, he’s a great guy, or he would just lie and say he saw the match and wouldn’t give you much feedback,” Jericho explained. “There were other guys who were worse than that.”
When it comes to his least favorite WWE storylines, Jericho admitted that there were plenty to choose from. He settled on his time co-sharing the Intercontinental Championship with the late Chyna as well as when he was managed by Stephanie McMahon:
“There have been some bad storylines,” he said. “I remember with Chyna, they had us be the co-Intercontinental Champions, where we shared the one title, which is ridiculous. That was a stupid story. There was another one when I was actually the World Champion, where it was Jericho vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon was my manager, I guess, and they were playing the thing like I was [expletive]-whipped by her but I wasn’t banging her, so it was kinda like just being a bitch.”
Chris Jericho is scheduled to defend his AEW World Championship against Cody at AEW Full Gear on November 9th.
Joey Janela recently recounted his experience with Big Cass during a WrestlePro event. He shared his story during an episode of Wrestlers On The Road Ordering Room Service. The end result of his altercation saw Cass removed from the event in an ambulance.
Now, Cass’ tag team partner, Enzo Amore, has addressed Janela’s side of the story. He also suggested that the AEW wrestler is using the incident for attention. Amore stated that Janela has zero class or credibility because of it.
Taking to Twitter, Amore wrote:
“I addressed the drunk fantasy portrayal of an atercation already, no one laid a hand on anyone. We saw the tape, but when you speak about a man who’s currently in a rehab in an effort to gain more views, notoriety, & attention. You have 0 class or credibility. I’m disgusted.”

Janela explained how the whole exchange with Cass was like a “horror movie.” He added that he did not press charges as “He [Big Cass] just didn’t know what he was doing and I felt bad…. Get him to a hospital because you know he’s dealing with something crazy.”
All Elite Wrestling’s Kenny Omega recently won the AAA Mega Championship. He defeated the former champion, Fenix, during AAA’s Heroes Immortales event in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico.
After the match, Omega was interviewed by Lucha Libre AAA’s Hugo Savinovich.
“I’ve always been a man who said to make history everywhere I go,” Omega said. “I never said it would be easy. Does it look like it was easy? Fenix, you’re still one of the best. I’m just better. You were a great champion, but I will be better. From here on in, that title, the Mega Championship is now the Omega Championship. You might see it back in Mexico, but you will, I promise you, you will see it in AEW.”
As he thanked the fans for helping AEW become a success, Omega added that he wouldn’t be surprised if he defended his Mega Championship on the promotion at some point.
AAA and AEW formed a working partnership earlier this year in February. This wouldn’t be the first time that AAA championships would be fought over in AEW. Just recently at AEW’s All Out event, The Lucha Brothers defeated The Young Bucks in an Escalera De La Muerte match for the AAA World Tag Team Championships.

There is no shortage of bizarre names in the wrestling world but they are mostly chosen by the promoters or the wrestlers themselves. However, Luchasaurus is a rare case where it were the fans who came up with the name.
The AEW Star recently appeared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast and during the show; he discussed the origin of his name, revealing that it were the fans in Lucha Underground who came up with it.
The former Lucha Underground star recalled how fans were chanting something during his debut for the company. He thought they were chanting ‘You Just Started’ and realized what they were really saying only after he returned to backstage:
“I went to the back and my good friend John Morrison was back there and I asked him how it was. I think they hated it, but he said, no man, they were chanting, ‘Luchasaurus!’ I’m like, what? What is that? He said I don’t know but I think you should run with it”
After this, Luchasaurus, who was in need to reinvent his character decided to go with the name. He started using it in independent circuit in November 2017.
He did face some difficulties getting booked with the name initially because people were not taking it seriously, but the wrestling star did not give up. Now he has become one of the fan favorites in AEW using the persona which was given to him by fans themselves.
Kenny Omega is the new AAA Mega Champion after having defeated Fenix for the title last night. Omega’s championship victory took place at AAA’s Heroes Immortales event from Coliseo La Concordia in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico.

All Elite Wrestling World Champion Chris Jericho has seen the negative response some fans have had regarding Marko Stunt. Stunt made his in-ring debut this week, replacing an injured Luchasaurus.
Taking to Twitter, Jericho addressed the criticisms lobbied at Stunt. He defended the AEW wrestler, comparing him to stalwart talents such as Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko.
“Laughing at ppl complaining that @MarkoStunt is too small & a “disgrace to pro wrestling!” Funny thing is I thought the same thing about @reymysterio the first time I met him in 93. I also saw @TheUltimoDragon get REAMED out by his boss when he first brought Rey to Japan in 95.”

He followed up by explaining how Dean Malenko was once laughed out the WCW locker room for standing up for Mysterio in 1996. Both Malenko and Mysterio were then congratulated afterwards once they had an opportunity to show what Mysterio was capable of in the ring.
“Times have changed & Marko IS small,” Jericho explained. “But most of the workers on the roster are smaller in 2019 then the 90s.
Bottom line: Over is over & #Marko did a good job of getting over on Wed. Whether he ends up a World Champion like Rey did remains to be seen…but I’d rather watch him than a 6’8 musclehead who can’t move. I was once told I was “too small” to be a wrestler too…& I did ok! ?
For Jericho, the only thing that matters is whether you can connect with the crowd. He believes Stunt has accomplished this adding that, at one point in time, he was told he was too small to succeed in pro wrestling. “Over is over,” he stated. “I was once told I was “too small” to be a wrestler too…& I did ok!”
Marko Stunt competed in the AEW Tag Team Championship tournament this week on Dynamite. After an injury forced Luchasaurus out of the match on short notice, Stunt teamed with Jungleboy and represented Jurrasic Express against the Lucha Bros. Jurassic Express lost the match but Stunt opened up about the experience in a post published on his Facebook page.
“I wasn’t originally supposed to be there this week,” Stunt begins the post. “Luckily, for some reason, they asked me to come in this past Friday, and I was going to be on AEW Dark this coming Tuesday.”
“In a very unfortunate situation, Luchasaurus was injured just 2 hours before the show, and they asked me to step in. The most nervous and uncomfortable I’ve been was right there at that moment. I was being asked to step in the ring with two of the best on 2 hours notice, on national television, for my tv debut.”
So last night @MarkoStunt was supposed to be in my dark match, last minute due to unfortunate circumstances had to step to the plate and make his TV debut and knocked it out of the park!
“Despite any of that, myself and jungleboy went out there and gave it our all, and we hung with, quite possibly, the best tag team out there. We proved why we belong.”
Stunt then commented on people who don’t believe he should be in AEW during the post.
“Yeah, there’s still people that don’t like it, and don’t think I should be there, and that’s fine. I’m still there, and there’s nowhere to go but up from here!”
Jake Hager has aligned with Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle faction in AEW. Hager even helped Jericho retain the AEW World Championship Wednesday night in Philadelphia. He interfered in the match, hitting Darby Allin in the head while he was going for a top rope move and allowing Jericho to lock in the Lion Tamer.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hager’s AEW deal won’t allow him to actually compete in a wrestling match until he’s had his next fight for Bellator. His next fight takes place on October 25th, 2019.
“Jake Hager had an agreement that he wouldn’t wrestle until after his fight for Bellator at the Mohegan Sun Casino on 10/25 on a show that will air on Paramount,” wrote Dave Meltzer.
Hager’s next fight for Bellator is against Anthony Garrett in the heavyweight division.
“His agreement was that he’s doing TV every week and taking Tuesday and Wednesdays as his days off training while training the other five days, but wouldn’t wrestle matches until after the fight to avoid the injury risk.”
Hager is said to be more motivated than ever now that he’s in AEW. This start of a new period in Hager’s career was addressed recently by Wade Keller of PW Torch.
“People in AEW are telling me he is super-motivated, he’s regained his confidence that he lost in WWE and there’s some powerful people in that company, influential people, who think he is going to be not a support player, a guy standing behind a star, but be a star,” Keller explained. “And if that’s what they think and he can deliver on that, then that will show itself in the next couple months.”
All Elite Wrestling’s Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has revealed that she and her boyfriend, NXT Champion Adam Cole, spend their Thursday night’s catching up with each other’s shows.
Speaking with Bleacher Report, Baker talked about how the two would text and call each other right up until AEW: Dynamite and NXT go live.
“We are texting and calling each other for encouragement right up until the moment we go out the curtain,” Baker revealed. “It can be a little heartbreaking when it’s the biggest night of his career or the biggest night of my career and we can’t be there. Because we’re each other’s biggest fans and, as a fan, you want to be there and feel the energy. You want to experience it. So, it’s a little discouraging.”
She explained how Cole is supportive of AEW and maintains close friendships with AEW Executive Vice Presidents Matt and Nick Jackson.
“[…] we sit at home and watch each other’s matches,” she said. “We actually watch each other’s whole show. We support each other’s company. My boyfriend is basically best friends with The Young Bucks, so he’s very supportive of All Elite Wrestling.”
Baker competed this week on Dynamite. She lost to reigning AEW Women’s Champion Riho in a championship match.
Luchasaurus first made his name working for Lucha Underground. He has quickly become a fan favorite in AEW as well and many see him as a future world champion of the company.
The AEW Star was the latest guest on Talk is Jericho podcast where he opened up about his journey in wrestling so far and he revealed which WWE star he has taken inspiration from.
The former Lucha Underground star revealed that he took
inspiration from the former World Champion Kane, and The Big Red Monster was
the first star he studied when he got the mask:
“Kane was actually the first guy I tape studied when I
got the mask. I immediately went to Kane. My vision was to be the new-age Kane,
where I had the hair out and I wanted to make it a face mask and open up the
mouth because I did want to have impressions still,”
Luchasaurus went on to explain how Kane was the guy for him because selling with the mask is very difficult but the way the WWE Star did it was very good.
Apart from this, the AEW star discussed the development of his character in detail and also talked about being paired with Jungle Boy in the company.
During an episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed Cody’s vignette that aired on this week’s episode of AEW: Dynamite. Bully Ray commented on the strength of the package. He explained how it made him want to see Cody defeat Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.
“When I hear Cody’s mom talking about Cody, now I am sucked in. This is everything to Cody. […] At the end of the promo, I felt myself going ‘Wow, I want to see Cody beat Chris.’ And, here’s the big difference: at All In, I wanted to see Cody win for Dusty. At Full Gear, and because of that vignette I saw last night, I want to see Cody win for Cody. And this is why I believe Cody no longer uses the Rhodes name, despite the fact that he’s allowed to use the Rhodes name.”
He added, “As long as he is still called Cody Rhodes, we will always think of Dusty first. Cody wants to just be Cody. He’s trying very hard to get out of Dusty’s shadow. Not because he doesn’t want to be there, but it’s his time to be his own person. Cody wants to be known 20, 30, 40 years from now as just Cody, the way Dusty is just known as Dusty.”
Cody is scheduled to face Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear. The event takes place on November 9th at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
