AEW To Make Big Announcement About TNT Show

All Elite Wrestling and TNT want to know, are you elite?

We are about 10 weeks out from the premiere of AEW’s weekly television series on TNT. Based on statements from AEW executives, trademark filings, and other clues, the prevailing theory is that AEW’s ‘Wednesday Night Dynamite’ is set to premiere Wednesday, October 2nd.

AEW has launched new social media accounts under the name @AEWonTNT for the new show. @AEWonTNT is teasing “big news coming VERY soon.” Since then, AEW’s top stars have made it clear that fans won’t want to miss what’s in store.

AEW’s TV series will be a live, 2-hour show each week. During a recent media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan revealed the company will announce an early TV taping schedule for AEW TV prior to All Out on August 31st.

SEScoops will provide an update on this developing story as soon as the announcement is made.

Latest Details On WWE’s Plans To Counter-Program AEW

During a FOX meeting last week, the concept of moving WWE’s popular black-and-gold brand, NXT, to TV was reportedly discussed.

There is apparent interest in bringing the show, which currently airs on the WWE Network, onto Fox Sports 1. Most notably, they would want to air it on Wednesday nights.

This proposal comes off the rumor that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will apparently debut their flagship TNT show on Wednesdays.

AEW has not yet officially announced which day they will air their show on, but the promotion has filed a trademark for ‘Wednesday Night Dynamite,’ making it the most likely contender.

Dave Meltzer, of Wrestling Observer Radio, noted that Vince McMahon would be undeniably upset if NXT competed against AEW and lost to the growing promotion in the ratings. To try and ensure victory, WWE will apparently be using every trick they can to secure NXT comes out ahead.

One part of their plan is to use main roster Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown on NXT—though whether that means for one-off appearances or long-term feuds is undetermined at this point in time.

During the Fight For The Fallen post-show media scrum, Tony Khan mentioned that AEW intends to announce further details of their TNT debut in October at All Out.

AEW’s Britt Baker and Adam “Hangman” Page recently took part in an interview with JagsWire in Florida. They both opted to dawn “full gear” while sitting in Jaguars’ Defensive End Calais Campbell’s living room for the interview.

The interview covered topics such as their in-ring personas, how they got into wrestling, and more.

Hangman Page & Britt Baker On Their Wrestling Personas

Campbell asked Page what his wrestling persona was like.

“It changes around a whole lot,” Page answered. “Sometimes I’m a good guy, sometimes I’m a bad guy. I like to think I’m always the good guy.”

When Campbell asked Baker if she was a “good guy” or “bad guy,” Baker asked him what he thought.

“You knock teeth out and put them back in, I feel like that’s grimey,” Campbell said.

“I’m pretty much a good guy but sometimes good guys have to do bad things to win,” Baker responded. “Every now and then sometimes you have to kick teeth out. I kicked a girl’s bow out on the PPV.”

Campbell then attempted to get Baker and Page to show him a few moves but a stagehand entered the scene and said they were not covered for that. The screen then cut away and when it returned the stagehand was lying unconscious on a broken table and Page looked nervous as if he had just done something he could get in trouble for.

  • Awesome Kong Talks Balancing AEW and GLOW

Awesome Kong Talks Balancing AEW and GLOW

Kia Michelle Stevens is known both for her portrayal of Awesome Kong in pro-wrestling and as Tammé Dawson on the Netflix series GLOW. She spoke to USA Today recently about balancing her roles for both GLOW and AEW.

She was asked about going back to the Awesome Kong character in May when she debuted for AEW at Double or Nothing.

“It was strange to slip back into her skin and psyche because Kong is a totally different psyche from Kia,” she said. “And I seriously was in my room the night before, praying on it that she would appear and that I would remember everything about her psyche to get to that place.”

“The reception was so breathtaking that my knees almost buckled,” Stevens said. “I almost didn’t make it to that ring because my legs turned to jelly. I love wrestling fans for that.”

The upcoming season of GLOW will premiere on August 9th, 2019 on Netflix. One of the themes present in the show this season is said to be the wear-and-tear that pro-wrestlers endure.

“I thought they were spot-on, especially because I actually struggle with back injuries,” said Stevens. “So, when I read through my script it was (like it was) straight out of my diary.”

    Awesome Kong on Women’s Wrestling

Stevens also commented on the state of women’s wrestlling.

“It’s a long time coming,” she said. “I’m just really happy that women are finally being seen as athletes and people who can compete, can perform at the caliber of the men and are given the opportunity to be performers and not like a sideshow. So I’m glad that I feel like I had a little bit to do with that. I’m glad I’ve been able to do my part.”

Jon Moxley Claims His WWE Career Was “Pretty Much In A Toilet Bowl”

Following Jon Moxley’s victory over Tomohiro Ishii during their G1 Climax 29 matchup, Moxley took to the mic to thank New Japan Pro Wrestling and the Japanese fans for allowing him to use their canvas to “paint ugly, gruesome works of art.”

He also compared the last few months of his WWE career as being “pretty much in a toilet bowl.”

“Thank you, Tomohiro Ishii, for sharing the ring with me tonight, you sick bastard,” Moxley began. “Let me tell you guys something: a few months ago, my career was pretty much in a toilet bowl, and then you guys welcome me over here to Japan, made me feel like part of the family, gave me this canvas on which to paint ugly, gruesome works of art. So I thank you for that.”

He continued, “Let me tell you this: nobody on this planet, nobody on this Earth, in this world, in this universe can tell me what I’m capable of, or what I can and can’t do, what I can or can’t accomplish, only I can say that! Let me tell you this, and you better damn sure believe it, because I’m gonna do it or I’m gonna die trying, get used to it. Jon Moxley is going to win the G1!”

Moxley will next face off against Los Ingobernables de Japon member Shingo Takagi. He is also scheduled to face off against Kenny Omega for All Elite Wrestling’s event, All Out, on August 31st.

MJF Signs Multi-Year Deal With AEW

MJF will be a key part in All Elite Wrestling moving forward as he signed a new contract with the promotion.

On Friday, AEW released a video that was shared on their official Twitter account as well as YouTube channel announcing that MJF has signed a multi-year contract extension with the company.

The exact details on the contract – money, and length – was not disclosed by the promotion. You can watch the video here:

    https://twitter.com/the_mjf/status/1152291972050280450?s=12

MJF was last seen in action at the AEW Fight for the Fallen event in Jacksonville, Florida last weekend. This is where he worked a six-man tag team match where he teamed up with Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara in a winning effort against Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, and Joey Janela.

MJF Injured At AEW Fight For The Fallen, Pulled From Indie Show

MJF is widely considered one of the top prospects in the pro wrestling business right now with a ton of upside and a wrestler who could be one of the top stars in AEW.

The AEW All Out pay-per-view event will take place on August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out. His opponent at this show has yet to be announced.

  • Adam Cole Offers Injury Update On Britt Baker

Adam Cole Offers Injury Update On Britt Baker

WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole has provided an update on Britt Baker after she suffered a serious concussion. The injury happened during her latest match as she teamed with Riho and lost to Bea Priestley and Shoko Nakajima at the AEW Fight for the Fallen event.

The belief is that the injury came once Baker was kicked in the head from Priestley. Cole, who has been in a relationship with Baker for a few years now, took to his official Twitter account on Thursday to share an update.

Cole wrote, “@RealBrittBaker is getting better already, and I couldn’t be happier. She’s one of the strongest people I know!”

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when Baker will be back in action. AEW has yet to confirm whether or not she’ll be working the All Out pay-per-view. It should be noted that she has been announced to appear at the Starrcast III convention during Labor Day weekend in Chicago, which is the same weekend as All Out.

Baker is someone that AEW is reportedly looking to push at the top of the women’s division. All Elite Wrestling has not announced how they will reveal the Women’s Title.

Brandi Rhodes has stated that the title will be revealed at the pay-per-view. Whether the inaugural champion will be crowned at that show remains to be seen.

  • Kip Sabian Credits Christopher Daniels For Helping Him Get Noticed By AEW

Kip Sabian Credits Christopher Daniels For Helping Him Get Noticed By AEW

Kip Sabian had the honor of competing in the first-ever All Elite Wrestling (AEW) singles match.

He competed against Sammy Guevara at Double or Nothing, emerging with an important win to kickstart his AEW career.

Sabian recently joined Chris Van Vliet for a sit down interview. During their conversation, Kip would talk about how he ended up in AEW, moving to the United States and, importantly, who was the person that scouted him for the promotion.

He admits that he didn’t know that his match with Guevara would be closing the Buy-In pre-show. When Sabian found out, he realized that he was now at the “next level” and that, no matter what, he will always be the first person to win a singles match in AEW.

But the man who helped him get into this position in the first place? “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.

He credits Daniels as “instrumental” in everything that has happened to him over the last few years, remembering the amount of advice he imparted to him during car rides they shared. According to him, Daniels put in a good word for him on his behalf. That word would lead him to sign with the burgeoning AEW, giving him the break he dreamed of.

Kip Sabian performed at AEW’s recent Fight For The Fallen event. He would lose to “Hangman” Adam Page.

  • AEW Signs Tully Blanchard

    AEW Signs Tully Blanchard

Following the news of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard serving as the manager of Shawn Spears, AEW has announced that the legendary pro wrestler has signed a contract with the promotion.

All Elite Wrestling issued a press release on Thursday revealing that Blanchard has signed a multi-show contract with AEW and Spears. Rather than the term manager, AEW noted that Blanchard will serve as his Exclusive Advisor in AEW.

Blanchard, who was a member of the Four Horsemen, held the NWA World Television Title and multiple tag team titles during his career.

Shawn Spears Challenges Cody, Aligns With Tully Blanchard

The pro wrestling legend is slated to be in Spears’ corner when he steps into the squared circle to take on Cody Rhodes at AEW All Out. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan commented on the signing via the press release.

“Shawn Spears’ new advisor Tully Blanchard is a legendary retired wrestler and a canny tactician known worldwide for his vicious streak and penchant for chicanery. Given the challenge that Shawn has issued to Cody for a match at ALL OUT as well as the long, bitter history between Tully and the Rhodes family, plus Shawn’s recent behavior in AEW, it appears that Tully Blanchard has a great deal of influence over Shawn’s intents and actions. This indicates that going forward Shawn Spears will be one of the most feared and unpredictable wrestlers in AEW.”

AEW All Out will take place on August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out.

As of this writing, Punk is not under contract with AEW. The former WWE star spoke with SI.com as part of the announcement where he noted that he’s looking forward to the appearance.

“A highlight is easily anytime anyone has a story,” said Punk. “I do about one signing a year and the best part is always finding out how you’ve touched people’s lives in a meaningful way. A lot of it can be heavy; helped someone get clean, helped somehow with the loss of a loved one. I am always touched to know the private intimate stories people have.”

Starrcast creator Conrad Thompson was also reached for a comment where he hyped it by stating that the convention will be able to provide a rare experience for fans.

“We wanted to bring something unique and that hasn’t been done before at Starrcast,” said Thompson. “I’ve always wanted to have Punk at Starrcast but the timing was never right, and I’m really excited that the stars have aligned for this August.”

  • Shawn Spears Challenges Cody, Aligns With Tully Blanchard

Shawn Spears Challenges Cody, Aligns With Tully Blanchard

Shawn Spears cut a scheduled sit-down interview with Jim Ross short recently. Spears was being interviewed by Jim Ross as part of an episode of AEW’s Road to All Out on YouTube.

“He’s a leach,” Spears said of Cody when asked about their time together in OVW. “It started in OVW, it started with me.”

Spears then said he taught Cody to wrestle before Cody moved on to leaching off of others.

“When that ran its course, he moved on to bigger and better things,” Spears continued. “Bob Holly, Ted Dibiase Jr, Damien Sandow, where are those guys now?”

    Calling Spears “A Good Hand”

During the interview, Spears suggested he was offended that Cody referred to him as “a good hand” as the label has negative connotations in pro-wrestling.

“There are certain things that people in regular life you’re just not supposed to do,” Spears said. “There’s certain things you don’t say publicly. You don’t call a woman the c-word, you don’t tell kids that Santa Claus isn’t real.”

“In the wrestling industries there are certain terms and certain things you also don’t say, especially within your core group,” he continued. “Cody crossed the line and I think you know what I’m talking about.”

“It’s the curse of this industry to be called ‘a good hand.’”

JR asked Spears if he was confident Cody would accept his challenge for All Out. Spears answered that he knows Cody will accept because he’s a Rhodes.

    Aligning With Tully Blanchard

Spears then said he’s got an ace up his sleeve and with that Tully Blanchard entered the shot and informed JR the itnerview was over.

  • Brandi Rhodes Talks About Balancing In-Ring And CBO Duties, Tagging With Awesome Kong

Brandi Rhodes Talks About Balancing In-Ring And CBO Duties, Tagging With Awesome Kong

Following her successful in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at their recent Fight For The Fallen event, Brandi Rhodes took part in a media scrum.

One of the questions asked addressed the balance Brandi has to maintain between her role as an active in-ring competitor and as AEWs Chief Branding Officer.

“It’s tiring,” Rhodes admitted. “I pretty much train every day. First of all—I had a lot of people tell me that I looked really good out there. None of you did, but I’m just going to tell you that in my training I really toned up. I lost about ten pounds, so I really take it really seriously, I’m in there all the time, but then the daily work of the CBO never stops. My phone rings at 2 o’clock in the morning, and I generally answer it. We have a lot going on. We are a brand new company; we’re building all of the time, so it’s a lot of work. Sometimes we don’t sleep that much, but that’s what you do for things you love.”

Brandi Rhodes, accompanied by Awesome Kong, defeated Allie this past Saturday.

Speaking of her alliance with Kong, Rhodes mentioned that she would “love to tag with her and learn from her [Kong]” in the future, so their partnership in AEW appears to have long-term plans.

  • Chris Jericho Discusses If He Thinks AEW Needs To Sign CM Punk

Chris Jericho Discusses If He Thinks AEW Needs To Sign CM Punk

Chris Jericho continues to talk about the possibility of AEW signing CM Punk to a contract as he is the biggest free agent in the market right now.

Jericho did so during an interview with Collider Live where he noted that AEW doesn’t need Punk to be a part of their roster.

“Do we need him? No. Would it be a huge pop to get him? Yes. I don’t know, man. I don’t know what his attitude or mindset is. I think our roster is jam-packed right now.”

Jericho continued by stating that All Elite Wrestling is not headhunting WWE talent as they don’t want to be WCW in 1998 or TNA in 2011 where they brought in former WWE talent. He noted that he does think it’s funny that WWE stars are being offered double the money to stay under contract with WWE.

AEW All Out Updated Card (New Matches)

The reason that AEW has this mindset is due to them having enough talent that no one else has seen before such as Jungle Boy and MJF, who appeals to a different demographic.

AEW’s next event is All Out, which takes place will take place on August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out. The event will air on pay-per-view.

  • Shawn Spears To Reportedly Get A Manager

Shawn Spears To Reportedly Get A Manager

AEW’s Shawn Spears might be flanked by a manager in the near future. The 38-year-old picked up his first victory in the promotion at Fight for the Fallen on Saturday. Spears got the pin for his team in a 6-man tag, pinning Darby Allin after a Death Valley Driver.

According to a report from Fightful, Spears could be paired with a manager as part of his act shortly. The report continued to say that this could be revealed as early as the episode of the “Road To All Out” scheduled to air on YouTube today. Spears is scheduled to take part in a sit-down interview with Jim Ross as part of the episode.

Although nothing official has been announced, Spears could end up facing Cody at AEW’s next PPV. Spears and Cody are former tag-team partners in Ohio Valley Wrestling together, where they were both part of WWE developmental. We will likely find out more about Spears’ motivation for hitting Cody with a chair at Fyter Fest during his interview with Ross.

    Shawn Spears in AEW

Spears has had 2 official matches in AEW thus far. He participated in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas. Then after his chairshot to Cody at Fyter Fest, he teamed with Cody’s protege MJF and Sammy Guevara in winning fashion against Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc, and Darby Allin.

  • Chris Jericho Talks About Being Wrestling’s Renaissance Man

Chris Jericho Talks About Being Wrestling’s Renaissance Man

Chris Jericho has continued to successfully reinvent himself throughout his entire pro wrestling career.

Even now, Jericho remains at the forefront of fans’ minds thanks to his involvement with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

During a recent media event, Jericho was asked how he felt being referred to as wrestling’s ‘renaissance man’.

“My mission has always been to reinvent and evolve,” Jericho stated. “It’s David Bowie. It’s been one of my inspirations since I was 25 years old, when you realize that you have this guy that’s a genius and who constantly changes what he’s doing, what he looks like to keep the fans guessing. ‘What’s Bowie’s next record going to be?’ Is it going to be ‘Electro’, is it going to be ‘Let’s Dance’, rhythm and blues rock, techno, be whatever. What look is he going to have? And that’s what I always wanted to do, but it’s not something that’s calculated. It’s something that just happens for me. The “Painmaker” in Japan with the makeup and all of that sort of stuff, it just felt right. Some people said “oh he looks like a clown”—I ‘don’t f*****g care what you think.”

He continued, saying “To me, that’s the way that this character should be, the same thing with the character that you saw tonight with the ‘thank you’. I really do think I should have some kind of a thank you from the company, and then when Adam Page is busted open and there’s blood over everything, that’s my thank you.”

    Y2J

Jericho went on to say that when fans chant ‘Y2J’ at him, he can no longer relate to the revered character. He explains that Y2J is a 20-year-old character and that he, as an individual, has naturally changed and grown so much in that time.

Without that continual personal evolution, he exaplins that he would have no interest in continuing in the pro wrestling business.

Chris Jericho has shown off the nasty bruise that he left on the face of Adam “Hangman” Page following their latest angle.

Jericho attacked Page after his match against Kip Sabian at the AEW Fight for the Fallen event over the weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. Jericho came out of nowhere while wearing a Dark Order creeper mask to attack Page with the Codebreaker then took off his mask and rained down kicks/punches to his next opponent.

Jericho posted a photo of the bruise that Page suffered during this attack today on social media, which you can see here:

  • Darby Allin Says Skateboarding Prepared Him For Wrestling

Darby Allin Says Skateboarding Prepared Him For Wrestling

AEW’s Darby Allin has had two matches in the promotion thus far. He wrestled Cody to a time-limit draw at Fyter Fest and then took the pin to Shawn Spears in a 6-man tag at Fight for the Fallen. He sat down with journalist Chris Van Vliet recently to discuss being homeless before AEW, his angle with Cody, and skateboarding.

“Skateboarding is so much worse, god it destroyed me,” Allin said when asked about his transition from skateboarding to pro-wrestling. “The difference between skateboarding and wrestling is a skateboard slam, sometimes you’re there by yourself and you fall and you’re like ‘ah, that hurt’ but in wrestling there’s a thousand people like ‘yeah, good!’”

Allin continued to say the falls he took from skateboarding made it easier for him when he began taking bumps for wrestling.

“Skateboarding definitely prepared me more than anything for pro-wrestling,” Allin said. “Like my first day at practice I was bumping, you know learning bumps and then my trainer was like ‘how you feel, man? Hurts doesn’t it?’ and I’m like “no, I feel good’”

Darby Allin On The Coffin Drop

Allin was also asked about the Coffin Drop move he attempted on Cody at Fyter Fest.

“A do or die moment in the match. Am I just going to roll Cody in and try and pin him? Or am I going to try and annihilate him or decapitate him? And I wanted to decapitate him because then I knew for sure that was going to get the win. It’s pretty much risking it all,” he said. “Yeah, that f***ed my ribs pretty bad.”

Allin also spoke about being homeless for a period of 3 months before signing with AEW.

“I lived in my car for about like 3 months,” Allin said. “Once i started dating Priscilla (Kelly) I just remember being more at her place. Eventually, we got married and got our own place. I feel like she’s a good luck charm because once we started dating, I felt like my career started picking up.”

  • Dustin Rhodes Reveals If He Will Be At All Out

Dustin Rhodes Reveals If He Will Be At All Out

Many believed that his Double Or Nothing match against Cody would be the last match of Dustin Rhodes but then he went on to team up with Cody against the Young Bucks at Fight For The Fallen, and now people are wondering if we are gonna see more of him in AEW.

We don’t know if Dustin is done wrestling for AEW or not. Though during the post-show interview for Fight For The Fallen, the former WWE Star talked about a number of things and he also revealed if he will be at the upcoming All Out event.

Dustin first talked about Sonny Kiss’ victory in the opening match of the show and recalled how Kiss was nervous when he came into the locker room before his bout.

So he consoled the young star and told him that you only get nervous when you care and you stop getting nervous when you don’t care so he is going to do fine.

During the interview, Rhodes was also asked about a possible appearance at AEW’s upcoming All Out event and the former Champion replied with a no.

He revealed that he has DragonCon convention appearance scheduled for the same day as All Out so he will not be in Chicago for the upcoming event.

While this might be a disappointing news for the fans who were hoping to see Dustin Rhodes wrestle at All Out, his AEW journey doesn’t seem to be over yet and with Dustin calling AEW his ‘new passion’, we can expect him to stick around the company for a while.

  • Brandi Rhodes On AEW Possibly Signing Scarlett Bordeaux

Brandi Rhodes On AEW Possibly Signing Scarlett Bordeaux

Scarlett Bordeaux was released from her Impact Wrestling contract last month and there have been various speculations about her future ever since, including a possible AEW signing.

In the post Fight For The Fallen media scrum, AEW’s Chief brand officer Brandi Rhodes discussed a number of things and she also answered a question about Bordeaux possibly joining their roster.

Brandi first put over Scarlett saying that she is a great competitor but then went on to explain that everybody gets their moment and their time.

Continuing on the topic, she explained that they want people to connect with their wrestlers by knowing their background and history and she doesn’t want so many girls that she can’t do that.

Though later she also claimed that not seeing a face yet doesn’t mean the doors are closed to anyone and it’s just a matter of making sure they build the division correctly so everybody gets a fair shot at presenting themselves.

Scarlett Bordeaux started her wrestling career in 2012 and since then she has wrestled for a number of well-known promotions including Ring Of Honor, Impact Wrestling and even WWE.

She asked for her release from Impact last month. She has returned to the independent circuit since then and now it will be interesting to see what’s the next move for the current SAW Women’s Championship.

  • MJF Injured At AEW Fight For The Fallen, Pulled From Indie Show

MJF Injured At AEW Fight For The Fallen, Pulled From Indie Show

It appears that top prospect MJF suffered an injury while working his most-recent match.

MJF worked a six-man tag team match where he teamed up with Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara in a winning effort against Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, and Joey Janela at the AEW Fight for the Fallen event in Jacksonville, Florida.

In the match, MJF apparently injured his elbow. That has caused changes to a scheduled independent wrestling booking he had. MJF was supposed to be at next week’s Inspire Pro Wrestling event, TripleMania, where he was set to defend his Pure Prestige Title against Ricky Starks.

It was noted in the announcement that with MJF slated to be under an exclusive contract with All Elite Wrestling soon, a rematch between MJF and Starks won’t be booked and the title is now vacant.

Here is Inspire Pro Wrestling’s statement on MJF not being able to wrestle at this show:

“BREAKING NEWS: AS THE ADDAGE GOES, ‘CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE.’ At approximately 4:07 this morning, INSPIRE PRO was delivered the unfortunate news that PURE PRESTIGE CHAMPION MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN sustained a severe elbow injury at last night’s FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event. With MJF scheduled to appear at next week’s TRIPLEMANIA, the decision was made to pull him from tonight’s event to prevent any further injury.

THEREFORE, MJF will NOT be defending his PURE PRESTIGE CHAMPIONSHIP tonight against RICKY STARKS. With MJF soon to become exclusive to AEW, the opportunity to reschedule the match is not possible. Therefore, MJF and INSPIRE have come to a mutual agreement to VACATE the PURE PRESTIGE TITLE.”

Tony Khan Discusses When Week Night For AEW TV Show Will Be Announced

AEW President Tony Khan has opened up on when fans can expect to hear an official announcement on what night their weekly TV show will air on TNT. There have been rumors that it will air on Tuesday or Wednesday night.

According to Khan, who was asked about it at the post-event press conference following Saturday’s AEW Fight for the Fallen event, the announcement is coming and will likely be made before the All Out pay-per-view event on August 31st.

“Yeah, we’ll definitely make an announcement before All Out of the night and some dates, it will be really exciting,” Khan stated. “Hopefully, announce what we’re going to do. A really big debut showed planned and after that I’m really excited because I think there’s been a void for a long time.”

AEW Fight For The Fallen Results & Live Coverage (7/13)

Back in May, it was officially announced that AEW would air a weekly TV show on TNT later this year. With AEW airing on TNT, there have been some comparisons to AEW and WCW as they both broadcast their product on the television network.

With such a good TV deal and big money backing them, many fans think we are upon another Monday Night War even though AEW will air on a different night than RAW or SmackDown Live.

Last night was Baker’s second match for AEW. She debuted at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, winning a fatal 4-way match. The match had originally been scheduled as a triple threat but Brandi Rhodes added Awesome Kong to the mix at the last minute.

Baker was able to pull out the victory at Double or Nothing regardless, however, pinning Kylie Rae as Nyla Rose and Awesome Kong were each outside the ring. Baker’s loss last night brings her overall record in the promotion to 1-1.

Baker’s opponents last night, Bea Priestley and Shoko Nakajima were each making their debut for the promotion and each improved to 1W-0L. Her partner, Riho, had won her first two in the promotion and now her record drops to 2W-1L.

Dustin Rhodes: I Found A New Passion And It’s AEW

Dustin Rhodes teamed with his brother Cody last night at AEW Fight for the Fallen. The Brotherhood lost to Matt & Nick Jackson in the main event. After the match, the Bucks said Cody & Dustin were one of the best teams they’d ever faced.

At 50 years of age, Dustin talked about retirement, wanting to get into acting, and more during the post-event media scrum.

“I want to get into acting a little bit but I found a new passion. I found a new passion and that’s AEW,” Rhodes said. “It’s a lot of fun because you walk around here and you see all these guys in the back who are different than the ones I’m used to. And everybody is happy, hungry, passionate about AEW succeeding.”

Dustin would continue to talk about how passionate the roster in AEW is.

“We are actually changing the business. It’s a revolution and it’s exciting to be a part of this. It shows on all their faces and they are excited and when you get excited you go out and perform the best you can.”
