Chris Jericho Returning to Popular Slasher Franchise with ‘Terrifier 3’

AEW veteran star Chris Jericho will be reprising his role in the upcoming Terrifier 3. He had a cameo in Terrifier 2, and it has been confirmed that he is set to return in the sequel of the movie.

AEW star Chris Jericho was briefly featured in Terrifier 2 credits scene, which set up the next installment in the series and it revolves around the main character, Art the Clown. On October 25, 2024, Terrifier 3 will drop in the theaters, and fans are already excited about it.

Andreas Wiseman of Deadline recently had a conversation with director Damien Leone and star Lauren LaVera while they promoted the film. When asked about stars who are returning for the third movie, Leon noted that Chris Jericho will be featured in it. Here are the comments:

“There are a few new major chaaracters introduced in three, one in particular that it’s too soon for me to announce…What I think I can say at this stage is that Chris Jericho [who has a cameo role as a psychiatric hospital attendant in a credits scene] is going to be returning. He’s super excited. This one is going to pick up where Part 2 left off, in the insane asylum, so, you’re going to see what transpires there, what mayhem unfolds, because seeing how Art and Victoria ended up, is so insane, and seeing how they get out of that situation and what happens next is going to be really wild. So, we have to get Chris back in there and see how he becomes a part of that situation.”

    Chris Jericho confirms

The former AEW World Champion took to his Twitter account and confirmed his role in the upcoming movie. Here is the Tweet:

Meanwhile, Jericho has been advertised to be featured on the December 13 episode of AEW Dynamite.

  • AEW Winter is Coming Overrun, MJF & Cole Being Stripped of Titles?, Extra Seats & More

    AEW Dynamite Has Overrun

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite will see the show continue to build towards Worlds End, which is set to take place on December 30. Fans will get slightly more AEW action tonight than they previously expected. On Twitter, Tony Khan announced that TBS has granted an overrun of five minutes for tonight’s show.

    More Winter is Coming Seats

Not only will tonight’s show go longer than expected, but it will also have more fans in attendance than originally planned. Wrestle Tix reports that AEW has opened up two more sections of seats for tonight’s Winter is Coming show.

The end of Better Than You Bay Bay?

MJF and Adam Cole captured the ROH World Tag Team Championships at All In but have only defended the titles one time together. That’s because of an injury suffered by Cole that he is still dealing with. Speaking on a media call to promote Friday night’s ROH Final Battle 2023 pay-per-view event, Tony Khan said he’s considered vacating the gold.

“That’s definitely something to look at at some point [vacating the titles]. It’s something MJF said was important to him and Cole, was to try and maintain the belts to when Cole gets back. Obviously, it’s been a long road to recovery from a bad injury, but we’re all excited about having Adam Cole back.”

    Matt Hardy’s Frustrations

Matt Hardy recently stirred up some controversy when speaking about his AEW direction. On his Extreme Life podcast, Hardy spoke about being frustrated in the promotion while Jeff said he sometimes feels like a ghost. On the latest edition of his show, Hardy gave further context and stated that his comments are “1000%” true to how he is feeling.

  • Creative Plans Are Being Pitched for Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) in AEW

Creative Plans Are Being Pitched for Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) in AEW

Former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth may be All-Elite soon enough if those working within AEW have their way.

Nemeth was released from WWE in September of this year, ending his nearly two-decade career with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Nemeth is best known for his time as Dolph Ziggler and is a two-time former World Heavyweight Champion and one-time WWE NXT Champion. The Show-Off was arguably the biggest name cut from WWE during the September releases.

    Nic Nemeth is All-Elite?

Next week, Nemeth’s 90-day non-compete clause will expire and he will be free to work and sign with any promotion that wants him. Sources in AEW who spoke to WrestlePurists have stated that there is a push within the promotion for Nemeth to be signed when the time is right. There have already been multiple creative pitches being drawn up for Nemeth. One idea would see the Show-Off paired with fellow WWE alum CJ Perry. Perry and Nemeth had an on-screen romance in 2015 during which Nemeth would feud with Perry’s real-life husband Rusev (now AEW’s Miro.)

    What’s Next for Nic Nemeth?

We don’t know for certain if Nemeth will join AEW but the former WWE World Champion isn’t struggling to find work outside of WWE. The former Ziggler has been announced for WWC’s Euphoria show which will take place on January 20. Nemeth will compete against Ray González at the event. Nemeth will also be part of the MCW Fan Jam convention that is set to take place on February 4. Fellow WWE alum Matt Riddle has also been announced.

  • MJF Meets John Cena & Other WWE Names at The Iron Claw Premiere

MJF Meets John Cena & Other WWE Names at The Iron Claw Premiere

The stars were out for the premiere of The Iron Claw, with AEW World Champion MJF being joined by names from WWE.

The Iron Claw delves into the lives and numerous tragedies of the Von Erich wrestling family. The wrestling lineage began with Fritz Von Erich (real name Jack Adkisson,) and his sons would also find success in the squared circle. The Von Erichs are still a force in wrestling today with Marshall & Ross Von Erich competing to this day.

WWE & AEW Collide on the Red Carpet

MJF plays Lance Von Erich in the new film, a kayfabe relation of the family who doesn’t mesh well with the actual Von Erich wrestlers. MJF also serves as an executive producer for the film so it was hardly a surprise to see him walk the red carpet for the premiere. What may have surprised fans though is that MJF was joined by some of WWE’s top names, including 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena.

Cena wasn’t the only notable name to meet up with MJF at the premiere. The reigning AEW World Champion could also be seen with NXT Superstar Baron Corbin.

Liv Morgan was also at last night’s premiere of The Iron Claw. Morgan is currently out of action with an injury and attended a party with MJF last October

    MJF in the Iron Claw

John Cena may have made ‘You Can’t See Me’ his catcphrase, but wrestling fans may struggle to see MJF in The Iron Claw. The reigning AEW World Champion appears for a few seconds in one scene and has no lines in the film. MJF originally had a much bigger role in the film before edits were made

  • Athena Issues Warning to Two AEW Champions: You Got An X On Your Back

Athena Issues Warning to Two AEW Champions: You Got An X On Your Back

Athena has established herself as a dominant force within the Ring of Honor women’s division, recently surpassing one year as ROH Women’s Champion. As she looks to continue her reign, though, Athena has some other goals she’d like to accomplish outside of the ROH brand.

During an interview with Under The Ring, “The Fallen Goddess” discussed her potential next moves, which includes a possible return to AEW programming.

While Athena’s initial AEW run did not go entirely as she had hoped, she is confident that this go-around would produce a more successful outcome.

Athena Puts AEW’s Champions on Notice

Athena ready to take on AEW’s Champions

With an AEW return in her vision, Athena issued a warning to two of the company’s current champions — Julia Hart and Toni Storm.

“I think the next step for me would definitely be to take a crack at AEW TV again,” she began. “My first time around was not great, and I lost to the all-powerful Jade Cargill. I think now with me being the forever ROH Women’s Champion, I want to be a Triple Crown Champion by the end of 2024. I’m going after all of the belts, the TBS Champion Julia Hart, The AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm,”

She continued, “I’m not content with just beating up these fragile broads left and right. This is your warning, I am coming for you guys in 2024. It doesn’t matter what anyone says. You got an X on your back, and it’s only a matter of time before we get there.”

Since the dissolution of AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation earlier this year, Athena has been primarily focused on boosting the ROH brand, where she now resides as a regular fixture. Later this week, Athena will defend her ROH Women’s Championship against her former Minion, Billie Starkz, in the main event of ROH Final Battle.

Should Athena retain her title at Final Battle, it appears that Athena will then begin her mission of capturing the TBS Championship and AEW Women’s Championship.

  • Attorney Stephen New On Representing Ace Steel Following All Out Brawl

Attorney Stephen New On Representing Ace Steel Following All Out Brawl

Stephen P New, the attorney for Ace Steel, has agreed with the ex-AEW producer’s stance that the line a colleague can often become part of a ‘family’.

Steel was on CM Punk’s side during the infamous All Out 2022 backstage fight, and was fired from AEW following an investigation. Steel was rehired by AEW to work with Punk for AEW Collision but on the proviso that Steel worked remotely and away from AEW events. After Punk’s contract was terminated following the backstage fight at AEW All In 2023, Steel was let go by the promotion

Stephen P. New on Ace Steel

In a recent interview, Ace Steel said that Punk is like family to him, and mentioned Stephen P. New as his attorney following the incident in September 2022. Taking to Twitter/X, New confirmed that he did indeed represent Steel following the All Out brawl and vouched for Steel as someone he could believe in.

In addition to Ace Steel, New is arguably best known for being the legal counsel to wrestling personality Jim Cornette throughout the years. He has also represented the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express and the Midnight Express over trademark issues in the past.

    What’s Next for CM Punk?

CM Punk has since returned to WWE, close to a decade after his exit following the 2014 Royal Rumble. Punk will have to remain on his best behavior with reports that there is a ‘behavioral clause’ as part of his contract. So far, all reports about Punk’s conduct backstage since returning to WWE have been positive.

  • Eric Bischoff Doubts Fans Will See A Successful ROH In Our Lifetime

Eric Bischoff Doubts Fans Will See A Successful ROH In Our Lifetime

ROH has been through quite a lot of changes in recent memory. The company survived the pandemic, and they tried their best to get things going once again, but in the end, Tony Khan bought another pro wrestling company.

AEW President Tony Khan acquired Ring of Honor last year, prompting speculation about the brand’s future. Over the past year, Khan has organized several pay-per-views under the ROH banner and initiated a weekly television series earlier this year.

Declining ticket sales and the absence of significant buzz about ROH raised natural concerns among dedicated fans. The fact that AEW can’t get fans to stick around for the ROH tapings after their lives shows is also impossible to avoid.

During his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed ROH’s current product, pointing out that NXT’s success stems from WWE gradually establishing it as an independent brand before introducing main roster stars to compete in NXT.

You have to build the brand, it has to stands on its own, it has to perform on its own without diluting the core product. Right now, ROH is a giant freaking parasite on the AEW brand and the more focus they put on the parasite, the more the parasite is going to diminish or harm the core brand. I just think that they f*ck it up so badly that we won’t really see a successful ROH anytime in our lifetime.

The ROH Final Battle pay-per-view is scheduled for December 15th, and ticket sales for the event have been underwhelming. Although Tony Khan’s company has a good card, complete with Athena defending her ROH Women’s Title through an injury, the future of the company is still uncertain as far as Eric Bischoff sees things.

ROH has certainly come a long way, but they also have a lot to improve on. There will probably be many stories to come as Tony Khan continues his efforts to keep the brand relevant. Keep checking back with SE Scoops for more.

  • Saraya Cut Down On Social Media Activity To Avoid AEW Fines From Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has a lot of responsibilities in AEW, and they are not limited to the pro wrestling ring. He is also on the company’s disciplinary committee, and it was recently unveiled that he is in charge of issuing fines to talent over social media behavior he deems to put the company in a bad light.

The Backstory of AEW Fining Talent

Mike Santana was recently fined for complaining about not being on AEW television in 6 weeks. The amount of the fine wasn’t disclosed, but Bryan Danielson is behind it.

Saraya consistently finds the need to express herself, be it within or outside the wrestling ring. Sometimes those words result in a less-than-savory tweet. Regardless of her actions, fans consistently offer significant support. However, she has engaged in numerous disputes with fans on social media in recent months as well. That may not fall in line with AEW’s social media policy.

    https://twitter.com/IWrestleverse/status/1733476343176663089

Saraya Explains Her Social Media Absence

On Twitter, Saraya addressed a fan who suggested that her reduced Twitter activity was due to Bryan Danielson imposing fines on AEW talent for their tweets. This fan posted a photo of Danielson, along with some funeral music, and a caption reading: “Wondered why I haven’t seen any tweets from Saraya lately.”

Saraya clarified that she merely took an extended break from social media and asserted her autonomy over her Twitter account, emphasizing that no one can dictate her actions.

I took a long social media break. Not because anyone told me not to haha. Ain’t no one telling sh*t about my twitter I can do what I want.

Saraya also used a hand-heart emoji to cap off her post. Apparently, she’s staying quiet on social media to protect herself from fines. After all, she is known for being very free-spoken.

Maria Kanellis Deletes Her X Account In Response To Recent Controversy

Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett were released from WWE a couple of years ago as part of cost-cutting measures. They later found employment in AEW and ROH. Recently, Kanellis became entangled in another online dispute involving Mark Briscoe, and in the aftermath of the controversy, she decided to delete her Twitter account due to the backlash over her expressed views.

The story behind Maria Kanellis deleting her X account

Mark Briscoe gained attention when he publicly called out the “WWE on FOX” social media account for appropriating The Briscoes’ well-known “DEM BOYZ” term in reference to Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. Briscoe even tagged Triple H, urging him to address the situation.

Maria Kanellis joined the discussion by sharing her perspective on the matter. She highlighted the significance of ‘DEM BOYZ’ to Mark Briscoe, emphasizing that the “WWE on FOX” account made the comment on the first anniversary of his brother’s final match. However, Kanellis faced unexpected backlash for her remarks, ultimately prompting her to announce her departure from Twitter and subsequently delete her account.

‘‘I think I’m about done on this particular platform. It’s too crazy. Disagreeing is one thing. Threatening my family, name calling, agism, racism, family planning shaming, religious prejudice, and sexism is all too much. I will keep my Instagram. But it’s about time to move on from the negativity.”

Mark Briscoe already apologized to Triple H

Mark Briscoe revealed the reason behind his outspoken comments, explaining that he was mourning the loss of his brother. He sent out a post to let people know exactly what was going on.

Oh yea, thatsss why I quit posting on Twitter lol. Just logged back on…woww. Some of y’all are wild lol. I just miss my brother, that’s all, and I got a little in my feelings when I seen the Fox post. Triple H, you ain’t gotta fire nobody, times is tough. Love y’all..take it light people

Nevertheless, Maria Kanellis decided that leaving Twitter was the optimal choice for her mental well-being, and fans acknowledge and respect her decision. We will have to see if there are new updates on this story from this point on.

Maria Kanellis’ post on 12/10 prior to deleting her X account

Bryan Danielson has been tasked with ensuring rules are followed within AEW, but this new responsibility doesn’t come with a bigger paycheck. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Danielson addressed her new role.

“It’s not something I get paid for. I’m just like the other wrestlers in the sense of I don’t have a contract outside of being a wrestler contract. But I was honored to take on more when they asked me to take on more roles backstage.”

Mark Briscoe Apologizes After Calling Out Triple H

AEW star Mark Briscoe recently apologized for calling out WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H following WWE’s attention-grabbing Tweet which dropped a reference to his late brother.

Mark Briscoe recently tweeted about how Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits were referred to as “DEM BOYZ!” by the official WWE account on FOX. Mark and his late brother Jay Briscoe were regarded as “Dem Boys” for years and Mark made his displeasure known.

The tag-team legend became enraged and tagged Triple H, telling him that the person who created the post should be fired for lacking knowledge and fired for lack of reverence. He wrote:

“For real?? This s*** is hilarious. @TripleH , whoever runs this twitter should probably be fired for lack of knowledge. Or they need the taste slapped out of their mouth for lack of reverence.”

In their last match, Dem Boyz defeated FTR at Final Battle last year and secured the ROH Tag Team Championship.

A single-elimination tournament was started to decide just that, and now we know which Superstar from NXT will fight for that honor, as Carmelo Hayes is set to get that spotlight. He also has his eye on some AEW merchandise.

AEW has a Devil gimmick going on right now. They also have some merchandise ready for whoever is under that mask.

All Elite Wrestling dropped some new merchandise for The Devil. Carmelo Hayes certainly noticed. He chimed in on social media how much he wants one of those new pieces of merchandise. Of course, that new Devil merchandise also stole his, “I am Him” slogan, which he was calling attention to as well.

WWE SmackDown’s Plan for December 15th

WWE has outlined their plans for the upcoming December 15th SmackDown episode. In the recent show’s conclusion, several details for the next episode on FOX were confirmed. Roman Reigns is set to make a return to the blue brand, which is anticipated to attract significant attention. Whether he responds to CM Punk’s call-out from the previous week remains uncertain.

Additionally, fans can expect a match between Grayson Waller and an unspecified NXT Superstar in the first round of the United States Championship tournament. The chosen Superstar for this shot was to be selected by Shawn Michaels. Another first-round match will feature Kevin Owens facing off against Austin Theory during the December 15th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Which NXT Superstar will wrestle for the US Title

Shawn Michaels logged onto social media in order to make that big announcement. He appeared in a very short online video where he said that, after a line of Superstars gathered at his door for that spot, he was finally able to narrow it down to one Superstar.

Carmelo Hayes will be the NXT Superstar in this year’s US Title #1 contender tournament. That means Melo will wrestle on SmackDown’s December 15th episode against Grayson Waller.

We will have to see how Carmelo Hayes does in this tournament. This may be the big break he needs to get that WWE main roster call-up.

Carmelo Hayes is ready for the WWE main roster

There aren’t many things that Carmelo Hayes hasn’t done in NXT at this point. After winning titles, and carving out a mark for himself, he very well could be main roster ready at this point.

Shawn Michaels is certainly hopeful in Carmelo Hayes’ abilities. Only time will tell how he does on the main roster at this point, but he will get a big shot during the December 15th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Carmelo Hayes went on to comment on this decision, proclaiming that they can’t “lil bro us anymore.”

Original Plans for MJF in The Iron Claw Before Role Was Significantly Cut

MJF had a much bigger role in the upcoming A24 biopic ‘The Iron Claw‘ before his scenes were almost entirely cut from the final edit.

MJF’s Role in The Iron Claw

AEW World Champion MJF plays Lance Von Erich in The Iron Claw, a kayfabe relation of the famed wrestling family. While much has been said about his role, MJF reportedly only appears for a handful of seconds, has no lines, and will go unnoticed if you’re not actively looking for him

MJF’s role in The Iron Claw may not be the leading role some had hoped for, but he originally had a much bigger role. Mike Johnson of PW Insider reports that in an earlier draft, MJF had three scenes as Lance Von Erich. The first sees Lance being introduced by Fritz as the newest family member, with Kevin Von Erich being unhappy with the idea of a fake family member. Kevin ultimately does what his father wants.

The second scene sees Lance training with his ‘brothers’ in the ring, and it is clear that the fake Von Erich is not in sync with the others. The third scene sees Lance demand more money from Fritz, who tells him no and fires him.

AEW Discussing Plan To Bring Absent Star Back To Television

AEW has a few people who are out of action for one reason or another. Right now, Rebel is on the verge of breaking a huge streak in her career, because she hasn’t been seen on television in a very long time.

Rebel hasn’t been on AEW television in quite some time, but she’s still been under contract with the company. Now, we have a bit of an update about her current status.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Rebel hasn’t been backstage much during her absence from AEW television. She is open to make a television return, and there are currently some internal talks to make that happen.

When asking around, we’re told that Rebel hasn’t been backstage much during her absence from All Elite Wrestling, but has been open to returning to TV if asked. When we followed up on that, we were told there were some internal talks about her possibly being back on television, but specifics or a likelihood of that happening wasn’t revealed. We were told there weren’t working plans for her to wrestle. She has publicly expressed her desire to wrestle on the indies next year.

Rebel has been on television every year since 2014 as part of some pro wrestling company. This might change this year if she doesn’t wrestle, because she hasn’t been seen in 2023.

Rebel used to appear on a regular basis, as she worked alongside Britt Baker. However, she hasn’t been on television since Britt Baker turned babyface. It was also noted that Rebel also quit her job in the makeup department at AEW.

We will have to see if Rebel makes a return to television any time soon. Right now, there are a lot more questions than answers about her current absence.

  • Jon Moxley Outlines How Fatherhood Changed His Life

Jon Moxley Outlines How Fatherhood Changed His Life

AEW star Jon Moxley is a proud father and recently stated that fatherhood changed his outlook on his life.

Renee Paquette and Jon Moxley are the proud parents of baby girl, Nora. Among the most beloved couples in pro wrestling are Mox and Paquette. Back in the day, Jon worked as a wrestler in WWE, while Renee was a host, interviewer, and commentator for the promotion.

This is how the two initially got together and on April 9, 2017, the pair finally tied the knot in a private ceremony held at their residence. It was said to be an unplanned wedding.

Paquette and Moxley would welcome their first child, Nora on June 15, 2021.

It is needless to mention that a person’s life might drastically alter for good after having a baby. After becoming parents, they would want to set an example for their kids and that’s how being a father, Jon Moxley’s outlook towards life changed.

    Jon Moxley talks about fatherhood

    Speaking with
Bleacher Report, Moxley said that having a daughter with Renee Paquette gave him a greater appreciation for both life and pro wrestling. The former AEW World Champion is trying to set an example for her daughter in everything that he’s currently doing. Mox said:

“By the time I had a kid, I was already a veteran of this. I was already paying the price physically for a lot of the s–t I did in my younger years. I was already at the stage where I was telling younger kids ‘You might not have to do that move every single night because you’re going to pay for it in 10 years.’ I already became the kind of guy who was aware of my own mortality by the time I had a child, so it really didn’t change anything. If anything, it made me appreciate it more and want to do a better job.

“Now everything I’m doing, I’m setting an example. I have a lot of young people that I coach and people that I work with, and I got young kids in Cincinnati I teach wrestling to. I’ve got a lot of people that are looking at me, so if I go out there and don’t work hard or take anything for granted or don’t take the kind of advice I would give to my daughter, if whatever I would tell her doesn’t match up with what I did, there would be a problem there.

“If anything [fatherhood] just made me appreciate life more and made me want to do this for as long as I can. I don’t know if she will ever get to watch me do it live and in person. She’s two and a half. When I look at some of my main rivals like Chris Jericho and Minoru Suzuki, they’re still going hard and still at the top of their game, so I think I’ve got a lot of years left. I don’t plan on ever retiring. At some point, I will just get too old to do it.”

Jon Moxley is currently competing in the AEW Continental Classic where he has bagged 9 points and is aiming to win the tournament. You can check out below what he thinks of the brand-new tournament:

  • Andrade Returning to CMLL for First Time Since 2015

Andrade Returning to CMLL for First Time Since 2015

AEW star Andrade El Idolo heading back to CMLL for the first time in years.

Idolo is currently signed to AEW but as it seems, he’s decided to head back to CMLL. The Mexican superstar has not made an appearance in CMLL since 2015. Back in the day, he performed under the name La Sombra.

Ahead of signing with WWE, he endured a defeat in a Mask vs. Mask match against Atlantis at CMLL’s 82nd Anniversary show. He is a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion which he won during his run with the company as part of an agreement between CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling back in the day.

    Andrade is returning to CMLL

On CMLL’s show at Arena Mexico on Friday, a vignette aired that featured Andrade El Idolo. He announced that he is coming home to CMLL, and will make his comeback next Friday night, December 15.

Notably, it was only last week that CMLL teased a star would be returning soon and this led to tons of speculation that Idolo might be making a return. Now we know he is indeed returning.

Andrade himself sent out a Tweet and confirmed his appearance. Check it out below:

Andrade El Idolo is currently embroiled in a storyline with CJ Perry and Miro on AEW Collision. The development in the relationship of Perry and Miro has grabbed the attention of the fans. It would be quite interesting to see how it pans out with Andrade being in the mix.

Andrade is also participating in the Continental Classic tournament, where he has acquired 3 points. As the speculation of his departure from AEW fuels, Andrade is set to face Bryan Danielson on AEW Collision this Saturday.

  • MJF Gives Intro to Smoke DZA’s Album: “His Joints Are Bigger Than Your Mom’s T*ts!”

MJF Gives Intro to Smoke DZA’s Album: “His Joints Are Bigger Than Your Mom’s T*ts!”

AEW World Champion MJF has continued to make his name outside of the ring by providing the intro for Smoke DZA’s ‘Beyond Spiritual’.

In the intro, MJF puts over Smoke for having better flows, rhymes, clothes, and weed than you. MJF also makes it clear that Smoke’s joints are better than a certain part of your mother’s body.

    MJF Outside of the Ring

MJF’s role with this track isn’t the first time that the AEW World Champion has stretched his entertainment muscles outside of the ring. MJF is set to appear as Lance Von Erich in the upcoming The Iron Claw biopic, detailing the lives, careers, and tragedies of the famed family of wrestlers. While MJF is in the new film, fans may struggle to see him, as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer explained this week.

“From what we understand, the way the “Iron Claw” movie was edited, the MJF role of playing Lance Von Erich based on people who have seen the latest version was pretty much dropped. The latest version has maybe 10 seconds and they never go into the Lance story and he has no speaking lines and unless you were looking for him, you’d never know he was in it.”

MJF (or at least) his voice, has a much bigger role in the animated film Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen Part Two.  MJF voices Killer Croc/Waylon Jones in the film based on the popular characters of Rooster Teeth’s RWBY meeting the iconic team from DC Comics.

  • Bryan Danielson Wishes Kenny Omega Was Part of the AEW Continental Classic

The ongoing AEW Continental Classic will allow Bryan Danielson the chance to face some of the promotion’s top stars, but not Kenny Omega.

Danielson is part of the Blue League in the round-robin tournament, meaning everyone from each league faces everyone in their league. Danielson has already faced Eddie Kingston, Andrade El Idolo, and Daniel Garcia and has accumulated six points so far. He has yet to face Brody King and his Blackpool Combat Club ally Claudio Castagnoli.

Danielson Wanted Omega in the Continental Classic

A dozen of AEW’s most exciting Superstars are part of the AEW Continental Classic, but Kenny Omega isn’t among them. Speaking with Mail Sport’s Alex McCarthy, Danielson spoke about wanting to face the Cleaner.

‘I really wanted Kenya Omega in it and I don’t know. People think I do a lot more than I do. I don’t know what happened or why he’s not in the tournament.”

Danielson added that the idea of being in the tournament was presented to Omega, and gave a reason for why the former AEW World Champion isn’t competing.

“I know it was at least brought up to him and I don’t know if he didn’t want to do it or I know that he and Chris Jericho are the number one contenders for the Tag team championship. So maybe that’s why, you know.”

Danielson is one of three wrestlers in the Blue League to be on six points, with Brody King and Andrade El Idolo sharing the same score. Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston have three points, while Daniel Garcia has been eliminated without scoring a single point.

Bryan Danielson had an injury scare during his match with Andrade which will air tonight. Click here to find out the latest update.

  • Bryan Danielson Cracking Down on AEW Talent’s Social Media Behavior

Bryan Danielson Cracking Down on AEW Talent’s Social Media Behavior

AEW has a lot of things going on, and Tony Khan has delegated responsibility to people he trusts to execute the job. It appears that Bryan Danielson has a huge role backstage in AEW, one that really matters for those who want to ruffle feathers.

We previously reported that Mike Santana dropped a snarky post on X about getting fined. This happened right after he posted and deleted something about his absence from AEW television. It seems that Bryan Danielson was behind that fine.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Bryan Danielson has taken on the role in AEW of monitoring talent’s social media activity. He is now responsible for handing out fines as well.

If someone poisons the social media water hole, Bryan Danielson is one of those responsible for laying down the law. Fightful Select reported last week that Danielson was effectively the face of the disciplinary committee in AEW, and that it extended to laying out fines when necessary.

Bryan Danielson is known for his limited presence on social media, but it is reported that he has played a role in imposing fines for social media behavior recently. The focus of these fines is on maintaining AEW’s professional image, which can include actions like retweets and likes. There is no information suggesting that fines are frequent.

The report also noted that Bryan Danielson has taken charge of various meetings, including discussions about CM Punk’s termination after AEW All In this year, addressing interview conduct earlier this year, and a talent meeting last year following the Brawl Out incident.

AEW officials are also reportedly enthusiastic about the Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia match. We will have to see how Bryan Danielson continues in the Continental Classic, as he continues wearing multiple hats for AEW.

What’s your take on AEW putting Bryan Danielson in a position where he can issue fines to talent? Let us know what you think by engaging with us on social media!

  • Tony Khan Facing Blowback Over Recent High-Profile AEW Departure

Tony Khan Facing Blowback Over Recent High-Profile AEW Departure

AEW is apparently going through some changes, and that called for a big firing this week, one that left many in shock. Kevin Sullivan was fired from his position with Tony Khan’s company, and some are critical of this decision.

We previously reported that Kevin Sullivan was fired from AEW. Not to be confused with the wrestler Kevin Sullivan, AEW’s Sullivan joined AEW in October 2019, making him one of the organization’s most seasoned backstage figures. Prior to his time at AEW, he had an extensive background in the wrestling industry, having served as Vice President of Production and an executive producer during his tenure with IMPACT Wrestling.

    Kevin Sullivan Departs AEW

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Kevin Sullivan, who has been with AEW since they started the company, was fired in a surprising fashion. Nobody saw it coming, as Michael Mansury simply told Sullivan that they’re going in a new direction for 2024. Meltzer wrote:

“The story going around was Mansury told Sullivan that morning that they were moving in another direction in 2024.

Sullivan had no idea it was coming and was given no real explanation as to why, just that it was a Mansury decision.
People in the division didn’t even know that Mansury was Sullivan’s boss, noting that among those who worked in production that was never made clear.

The story in production is that nobody else was expected to be cut, but it was a team created by Sullivan so they are his guys.”

Tony Khan reportedly faced criticism within AEW due to a recent firing that surprised many in the company. Kevin Sullivan held the position of Vice President of Post Production, and his termination left people within AEW feeling shocked by the decision. Some wondered why Tony Khan didn’t step in and stop this from happening as well.

Kevin Sullivan had been with AEW since its early days, earning respect behind the scenes. He also had played a pivotal role in building the post-production team, primarily based in Nashville.

It appears that AEW is going to go in a different direction production-wise in 2024. They no longer needed Kevin Sullivan around to fulfill his duties. At this time, Sullivan’s firing is the only one that is expected, but he did leave a team of his curated guys behind in AEW.

What’s your take on AEW going in a different direction with production in 2024? How will that change things for fans watching at home? Let us know what you think by engaging on social media!

  • Billy Gunn Will Walk Away the Moment He Feels He Can’t Perform

There’s no secret as to how Billy Gunn can compete at the level he currently displays, according to the AEW Trios Champion.

At 60 years old, Gunn is the oldest champion in AEW, and likely the oldest star on the roster. Despite this, the tag team specialist continues to wow fans with a performance you’d expect to see from talent decades younger than the former King of the Ring. Speaking to the A2TheK Wrestling show, Gunn was asked what his secret is.

“I wish I had one, I wish I had a secret I can tell. It’s just, the last [year] I just focus more on me staying healthy. I’ve never, luckily for me, I’ve nd Dr done any sort of crazy stunts. Other than bumping a lot which, yeah it has it’s wear and tear, but I just really focus a lot on my training and my food and all that. I have great people around me so it’s just as long as I’m going to do this, I want to make sure I can perform at the level that makes me happy. Because if I don’t, then I just want to walk away. Though my kids and wife will say different, I’m walking away.”

When asked if he has a retirement date in mind, Gunn made it clear he doesn’t intend to plan that far in advance.

“I don’t really look at things like that. It’ll just be when it’s right. When it’s done, it’s done. There’s no time schedule, I can’t go ‘Hey, All In in London next year will be [my last match]. My brain doesn’t function like that. My brain and me tell my body I can wrestle until I want to. Which I know is not really a thing… But me not doing something doesn’t really enter my mind.”

Gunn’s most recent match took place on the November 4, episode of AEW Collision and saw the Acclaimed retain the AEW Trios Championships against Dalton Castle and his boys.

  • Ethan Page Praises Matt Hardy For His Unselfish Nature

Ethan Page Praises Matt Hardy For His Unselfish Nature

Ethan Page is forever grateful to Matt Hardy for everything he has done.

The AEW star grew up watching The Hardy Boys do all sorts of crazy stunts. It was a dream come true for him when he got to work with the duo during his run with The Firm in late 2022 and early 2023.

The Canadian star recently appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast. Ethan Page first discussed how his outlook on The Hardy Boyz has changed over the years:

“Back to my convo with Matt last night. He recently put up this clip of…it’s like Broken Matt in his bed and he’s reacting to old things that happened to him in his career. It was all these wild falls and bumps and crashes and just insane things that he put his body through. I’m watching this at 34, almost 20 years into my wrestling career and the thoughts going through my mind compared to when I was a kid watching.

When I’m a kid watching I’m thinking, ‘This is amazing. I want to do that. This looks so fun. Do you see he jumped off the ladder?’ and all this stuff. Now I’m 34, all these years in and I’m like, ‘How is this man alive? How is he walking?’”

Ethan Page On Working With Matt Hardy

Ethan Page then talked about working with Matt Hardy on AEW Dark: Elevation among other shows. He mentioned that Matt always made sure that he benefited from those matches, and explained that both of these veterans deserve their flowers:

“The things that Matt and Jeff have put their bodies through physically. I’ll never comprehend just because of how I feel now and how I have done nothing as close to them and I never will. I promise you. I never will. Both of those guys deserve their flowers forever just for what they’ve done and the fact that they’re still willing to give.

I was just giving Matt praise to somebody in the car yesterday because I feel like there are people in wrestling that, they might be nice and they’re very friendly and cordial. But when it comes down to the business part of things most people are very selfish. Whereas I feel like with Matt, he cares more about delivering a good story, instead of benefiting himself.

I got to work with him for over a year. [We were] very heavily featured on Elevation which gave us a lot of creative freedom, which I’m obviously going to defer to the legend in professional wrestling and he would always look out for me. He would always make sure that I benefited in anything that we did. That’s kind of rare in wrestling. So I will appreciate that from Matt for the remainder of my career and I’ll love that dude forever.”

  • Latest on Jade Cargill’s Mystery Opponent for This Week’s AEW Dynamite

Latest on Jade Cargill’s Mystery Opponent for This Week’s AEW Dynamite

Jade Cargill’s reign as AEW TBS Champion could be in grave jeopardy if she steps into the ring with one of women’s wrestling’s most decorated champions.

This week, AEW Dynamite will make its debut in Winnipeg, Canada, and Tony Khan wants to make a great first impression in the city.

It has been announced that Cargill will put her title and her undefeated streak on the line against a Canadian wrestler.

    Cargill Vs. Taya?

One name being thrown around as a possible contender for Cargill is Taya Valkyrie, who recently finished up her time with Impact Wrestling.

Many have seen this as a sign that the former Franky Monet is AEW-bound, and this isn’t the only clue.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided another clue that Valkyrie may be the Canadian set to face Cargill.

She [Valkyrie] was scheduled to be on a World Series Wrestling tour of Australia that’s taking place right now, and she’s not there. That leads me to believe… I actually thought that she’s the mystery Canadian that Jade Cargill is going to wrestle on Wednesday, and the fact that she has a tour scheduled, and she’s not there, she did give notice.

“She’s done with Impact, and she’s leaving MLW, and she isn’t on this tour. We know she’s either going to WWE or AEW, but the point is, they talked about a mystery Canadian, and she’s Canadian and it’s starting to add up that it could be. So, unless she’s debuting on Raw, SmackDown, or NXT this Tuesday, she didn’t have to leave that tour.”

    Dave Meltzer.

Valkyrie is no stranger to championship matches, being a former Reina de Reinas Champion, Knockouts Tag Champion, and the longest-reigning Impact Knockouts World Champion.

    AEW is Winnipeg

Whether Valkyrie is Cargill’s mystery opponent or not, this week’s Dynamite debut in Winnipeg will be one to remember.

The stacked card includes new AEW Trios Champions the House of Black defending their gold against The Elite and Jericho Appreciation Society.

The Blackpool Combat Club will face the Dark Order (including the returning Stu Grayson.)

AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy will take on Jeff Jarrett to determine the first AEW International Champion.

  • Kevin Nash And ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Have A Pact To Not Watch AEW

Kevin Nash And ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Have A Pact To Not Watch AEW

All Elite Wrestling may have some impressive viewing figures (albeit figures not as high as this time last year) but two wrestling legends aren’t tuning in.

It’s no secret that AEW’s ratings have fallen dramatically in recent months, with many attributing that to the absence of CM Punk.

There has been some good news recently for AEW, with last Friday’s AEW Rampage drawing the show’s highest ratings since January.

    The Pact

AEW has a passionate fanbase of people both in and out of the wrestling industry but two names not watching (for now) are Kevin Nash and Steve Austin.

During the latest episode of Kliq This, Big Daddy Cool explained why he and the Rattlesnake are changing channels whenever AEW is on their TVs.

“I just want to go on record today, I have not watched AEW in months. It goes back to Steve Austin and I got a pact that he’s not watching it therefore I’m not watching it and what I can tell by Twitter is [Undertaker] is now not watching it.”

“Steve Austin and I got a pact that he’s not watching it therefore I’m not watching it.”

    Kevin Nash.

“It’s nothing against any of the talent over there, anybody that does anything over there. It’s just something that we decided. It’s like lent, you have to give things up so we did that. It doesn’t change the fact that Kenny Omega is my favorite wrestler. Doesn’t change that at all.”

Nash’s comments about The Undertaker stem from a Twitter exchange, in which Nash joked that Bret Hart doesn’t watch AEW.

In response, the Phenom said that Nash’s comments got a “huge pop” from him.

Big Daddy Cool’s comment about Kenny Omega being his favorite wrestler come after Nash made the claim during Omega’s feud with Will Ospreay.
