Miller launched Montez into the turnbuckle and then tagged Thorne into the match. Dawkins tagged in and decked Thorne with a shoulder tackle.

Montez Ford Clotheslined Miller out of the ring and then delivered a Clothesline to Thorne. Ford knocked Miller of the ring apron and Thorne tried to capitalize on the distraction by rolling Ford up while grabbing Montez’s tights. Ford reversed the roll-up and grabbed Thorne’s tights for leverage for the pinfall victory.

Kairi Sane Sent Shayna Baszler A Message

Kairi Sane faced Aliyah tonight on NXT. Before the match started, NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler came down to the entrance ramp and then joined commentary for the match. Aliyah and Sane locked up to start off the match. Sane quickly got distracted with Baszler and Aliyah attacked her from behind. Sane battled back and locked in a submission hold but Aliyah reached the bottom rope to break the hold.

Aliyah knocked Kairi to the mat but Sane got right back up and connected with a Neckbreaker. Sane followed it up with the Interceptor Spear and then marched to the corner of the ring. Sane hit Aliyah with a sliding forearm and then the Insane Elbow. Kairi stared at Shayna and then went back up to the top rope.

Kairi delivered a second Insane Elbow and then followed it up with a third Insane Elbow. Sane went for the cover but got up at a two count. Kairi then applied The Anchor submission and pointed at Shayna Baszler as Aliyah tapped out.

    EC3 Confronted Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream came down to the ring and cut a promo on EC3. Dream sarcastically said that EC3 was clever and charming as the fans started chanting “NX3!”. Velveteen Dream stated that EC3 had his attention and was now his enemy. Velveteen added that it will be dream over for EC3 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.

EC3 interrupted and said “this is what it sounds like when doves cry?” and poked fun at Dream’s fanny pack. EC3 stated that the time to fight has come and vowed to win on Saturday night. Dream said that EC3 will not have his hand raised this Saturday and the only thing that will be on his mind in three days is “dream over”.

EC3 took off his jacket and added that they don’t have to wait til Brooklyn to fight. Velveteen Dream took off his fanny pack and then threw his jacket in EC3’s face. Dream then attacked EC3 but EC3 battled back and planted him with the One Percenter.

The two Superstars traded shots in the middle of the ring and Bate got the upper-hand. Bate beat the hell out of Strong in the corner of the ring and then hit an Exploder Suplex. Bate followed it up with a running Shooting Star Press and went for the cover but Strong was able to kick out at the last second.

Strong battled back with a knee to the face and then slammed Bate face-first to the canvas for a near fall. Strong went for the End of Heartache but Bate escaped and landed on his feet. Tyler bounced head-first off the top rope and leveled Roderick with a Clothesline.

Roderick rolled out of the ring and Bate greeted him with a Crossbody. Back in the ring, Bate set up for the Tyler Driver 97 but O’Reilly hopped on the ring apron. • Shayna Baszler Wants To Face The 4 Horsewomen of NXT

Shayna Baszler Wants To Face The 4 Horsewomen of NXT

Current NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler, has turned heads with her talent and ability since competing in the Mae Young Classic last year. Baszler made it all the way to the finals of the tournament before being defeated by Kairi Sane.

Now with the second Mae Young Classic due to air on the WWE Network in a few weeks, Baszler is getting ready to face Kairi Sane again. This time, it will be Baszler defending her championship against Sane at Takeover.

During the first Mae Young Classic, however, Baszler’s 4 Horsewomen of MMA faction got into an altercation with the 4 Horsewomen of NXT. Despite this, a feud between the two similarly named teams never came to fruition. With both Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke now competing in NXT as well, however, the idea of the Horsewomen feud has been brought up again. Baszler addressed the potential angle herself recently during an interview with Inside the Ropes.

Shayna Baszler Horsewomen vs Horsewomen Feud

Baszler was asked about the potential angle and had the following to say:

“If they want it to happen, the four of us are fighters,” Baszler said. “We’ve never turned down any sort of fight. They want to argue about who’s the “4 Horsewomen” and what and who owns it. We had it first and that’s fact. It was given to us, we didn’t just call ourselves that.”

NXT 8/15 Preview: Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate

NXT is back tonight with the go-home show before Saturday’s Takeover event. 3 matches have been booked for tonight along with one segment meant to build anticipation for a key match on Saturday.

    NXT 8/15 Preview

    Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate

The feud between the Undisputed Era and Moustache Mountain continues tonight as Roderick Strong takes on Tyler Bate.

Moustache Mountain and the Undisputed Era have each won the NXT tag-team titles from the other team once this summer. The rubber match between the two top teams in the division goes on Saturday but single’s action between Strong and Bate takes place tonight.

the Street Profits vs the Mighty

The Mighty defeated the Street Profits the last time the two teams met. The Street Profits caused a distraction last week which allowed Heavy Machinery to pick up the win over the Australian tag-team.

One of these two teams moves closer to the top of the tag division and one moves closer to the bottom. Which team is which will be decided tonight.

    Kairi Sane vs Aliyah

Kairi Sane will have what is commonly referred to as a tune-up match tonight. Sane will take on NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler, Saturday at Takeover. Before then, however, she’ll take on Toronto’s Aliyah tonight.

These two met last September, with Sane coming out the victor.

Shayna Baszler will most likely be keeping an eye out on this match as she prepares to face Sane again.

    Velveteen Dream Verbal Assault

EC3 threw the Velveteen Dream in a pool during a somewhat bizarre segment on last week’s show. This week, Velveteen Dream is said to have a verbal assault planned for his Takeover opponent.

  • Video: Aleister Black Attacked After NXT

Video: Aleister Black Attacked After NXT

This week’s episode of NXT saw the General Manager William Regal officially announcing the Triple Threat main event for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV, among Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, and Aleister Black.

However, as we noted before, the former Champion Black is suffering from an injury and due to his condition, he is not expected to compete at the upcoming special event.

The company was expected to play out a pre-taped segment to remove him from the bout but for the surprise of many, the angle took place after the show was over.

After the episode went off air, WWE posted a video from their official Twitter account where General Manager William Regal is talking about his decision to announce a triple threat match for the upcoming show.

Though before he can finish, an employee comes in and informs Regal about an incident in the parking lot area and the General Manager rushes to the spot.

Upon his arrival, William finds an unconscious Black lying on the floor of the parking lot, implying that the former NXT Champion has been attacked by someone:

What’s interesting to note here is that this one and a half minute video also sets up an interesting future angle as the same tape establishes multiple suspects as well.

In the start, we see Johnny Gargano walking into the building as Regal goes out. The Undisputed Era is then seen driving away from the area and even the Heavy Machinery slides in to take photos of Aleister while he is down.

Now it’d be interesting to see if any of these three are revealed as the mystery attacker or if the company is planning something completely different.

There is no word yet on how long Black will stay out of action but we’ll keep you posted. You can check out the full results from this week’s NXT episode here.

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa Addresses The NXT Universe

The new champion will address the NXT Universe tonight. What will Ciampa have to say about the former champion and his longtime rival who inadvertently helped him win the belt?

    EC3 vs Kona Reeves

EC3 will face Kona Reeves in single’s action tonight. This was built-up in a backstage segment where Reeves stated EC3’s clothes were nice but they were not the finest.

This will be EC3’s 4th televised match since returning to NXT. He is 3-1 thus far with his only loss coming to Johnny Gargano. He’s defeated Raul Mendoza, Fabian Aichner, and Kassius Ohno.

As for Reeves, he’s on a 3-match winning streak. Granted, those 3 wins came over Max Humberto, Raul Mendoza, and Patrick Scott. They are the only single’s victories he has on NXT programming.

    Shayna Baszler vs Candice LeRae

Candice LeRae could likely earn a future title shot against Baszler with a win in this non-title match tonight. LeRae recently defeated Lacey Evans on NXT. She’s also defeated Zelina Vega but dropped a match to Bianca Belair.

As for Baszler, she’s been sitting at 118 days as champion with title defenses over Dakota Kai, Nikki Cross, and Toni Storm.

    Heavy Machiner vs the Mighty

These two teams have met once previously on NXT programming. The Mighty used under-handed dirty tactics to defeat Heavy Machinery back in May.

The Mighty are also suspected to be behind the attack to Tucker Knight which put him out of action for several weeks.

    Moustache Mountain Return To Action

The former tag-team champions return to NXT for the first time since losing the titles back to the Undisputed Era a couple of weeks ago. As for Ricochet, he’s yet to lose a single’s match in NXT yet. After 8 matches he is 4-3-1. His losses were in a multi-person ladder match he did not win, a 2-on-1 handicap match loss to Lars Sullivan (Velveteen Dream was his partner) and a 6-person tag to Undisputed Era while teaming with Moustache Mountain. His single’s wins have been over Fabian Aichner, Donovan Dijak, and the Velveteen Dream. He teamed with Aleister Black once to defeat EC3 and the Velveteen Dream as well. Kai went for a running kick in the corner but Lacey dodged it and tied up Dakota on the turnbuckle. Evans then connected with a Bronco Buster and Kai fell to the canvas. Lacey continued to taunt Kai as she struggled to get back to her feet.

Evans knocked her back down and stomped on her a few times for a one count. Lacey caught Kai’s attempt at a kick and sent her back to the canvas. Evans dropped an elbow across Dakota’s back and then applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring.

The crowd got behind Dakota as she fought through the pain and reached for the ropes. Kai finally was able to get out of the hold but Evans quickly knocked her back down to the mat. Evans applied a submission hold targetting Kai’s lower back in the center of the ring.

Dakota refused to give up and Evans started to get pissed off. Lacey shouted “give up!” but Dakota wouldn’t submit. Evans broke the hold and brought Kai to the ring apron. Evans stood on Kai’s ribs on the apron and stomped on her a couple of times.

Kai rolled back into the middle of the ring and Evans greeted her with a Slingshot Elbow Drop for a two count. Dakota made her way to the top rope and went for a Moonsault but Dakota was somehow able to roll out of the way just in time.

Kairi Sane Earned A Title Shot At NXT TakeOver

Nikki Cross, Candice LeRae, and Kairi Sane battled in a Triple Threat Match to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Bianca Belair was scheduled to be in the match but was not medically cleared to compete.

The match started out with a bunch of Arm Drags and then Nikki hit Sane with a Crossbody. Sane knocked LeRae off the ring apron and then turned her attention to Cross. Sane knocked Cross to the corner of the ring and beat her down as NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler said she doesn’t care who wins on commentary.

Cross trapped Kairi in the ring apron and beat the hell out of her. Nikki got back into the ring and shoved Candice’s face into the canvas. Nikki applied a Crossface in the middle of the ring and then transitioned into a cover for a two count.

Sane got back into the ring and connected with the Interceptor Spear on Nikki Cross. Kairi followed it up with a Double Stomp on LeRae for a two count. Nikki jumped on Sane’s back and tried to lock in a Sleeper Hold. Candice got back up and took them both out with a Dropkick.

LeRae beat down Cross in the corner of the ring and then hit a Cannonball onto Sane off the ring apron as the crowd chanted “NXT!”. Nikki Cross connected with an Inverted DDT to LeRae on the entrance ramp and then turned around into a flying elbow from Sane off the ring apron.

The NXT Universe chanted “this is awesome!” as Baszler wasn’t too impressed on commentary. Back in the ring, LeRae planted Cross with a Powerbomb as Nikki connected with a Superplex to Kairi Sane at the same time. The crowd once again loudly chanted “NXT!” as all three Superstars were down on the mat.

LeRae and Nikki traded shots as the crowd chanted “mama mia!”. Sane joined the party and everyone took turns blasting each other in the face with haymakers. Cross hit a Clothesline on Sane and then got an Enziguri to the face courtesy of Candice.

Sane clocked LeRae in the head but Candice shrugged it off and connected with a double DDT onto Cross and Sane. LeRae followed it up with a Springboard Moonsault onto Sane and went for the cover but Cross dragged Candice to the apron. Nikki hit LeRae with a swinging Neckbreaker off the apron and then got back into the ring with Sane.

Cross tugged at her own hair like a psycho and grabbed Kairi and planted her with a Belly to Back Suplex. Nikki delivered two more Belly to Back Suplexes and then sat up with a giant smile on her face. Cross perched Sane up on the top turnbuckle as Candice rolled back into the ring.

LeRae rolled up Cross for a two count and then slammed her to the mat. LeRae connected with a Moonsault onto Cross but Kairi Sane came out of nowhere and hit Candice with the Insane Elbow Drop for the pinfall victory.

Kairi Sane will now battle Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn during SummerSlam weekend. NXT went off the air with Shayna Baszler raising the title on the entrance ramp as Sane looked on from the top turnbuckle.

    • Sane defeated Baszler in the finals of last year’s Mae Young Classic but lost to Baszler on an episode of NXT from February of this year.

Kassius Ohno Returns To Single’s Action

Ohno has dropped 4 straight single’s matches on NXT programming. He’s lost to EC3, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and the Velveteen Dream. If Ohno wants to avoid falling to the very bottom of the single’s rankings in NXT, he’ll have to put together some wins soon.

No opponent has been officially named for Ohno tonight. Whoever his opponent is, however, Ohno will be looking to break out of his current losing streak.

  • Keith Lee Talks His Chances Of Being At Takeover: Brooklyn IV

Keith Lee Talks His Chances Of Being At Takeover: Brooklyn IV

Keith Lee bid farewell to the independent scene at the end of May. He is believed to have signed a WWE deal at the beginning of the month, finished up his dates, and then appeared at Takeover: Chicago in June.

Since then, however, Lee has been out of action. He’s yet to have an official match since reporting to NXT. A fan on Twitter asked Lee if there was any chance he’ll find himself on the card for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV.

“There are many things to be considered, and many transitions to be made. I cannot make any guarantees at the moment. What I can *promise* you…however, is that I will do everything in power to be active as quickly as possible. And give my all as per usual.”

The show takes place the night before SummerSlam on Saturday, August 18th, 2018.

    Keith Lee in WWE

The former PWG Champion has been wrestling since 2005. His career started to hit a real upswing in 2015, however, when he began competing for Ring of Honor. By 2017, he had become one of the most talked about athletes on the independent scene primarily because of the cult-like following he obtained in Pro Wrestling Guerilla.

Lee defeated Kassius Ohno at a WrestleMania Axxess event in April. It was widely believed after that WWE had a strong interest in him. Lee finished up his independent schedule in late May, concluding with a loss to Mia Yim on a Beyond pay-per-view show.

  • Bianca Belair Injured, Will Miss Mae Young Classic

Bianca Belair Injured, Will Miss Mae Young Classic

One of the faster-rising athletes in the NXT women’s division has just been placed on the injured list. Bianca Belair will miss the upcoming Mae Young Classic and a scheduled #1 contenders match with a back injury.

WWE’s Sarah Schreiber broke the news earlier today.

The update only stated that Belair was dealing with a back injury. There is no timetable for her return.

    Bianca Belair Injured

Belair was scheduled to face Nikki Cross, Candice LeRae, and Kairi Sane in a fatal 4-way match to determine the new #1 contender for Shayna Baszler’s belt. With Belair removed, the match will now be contested under triple threat rules.

It is also not clear if this injury is legitimate or part of a storyline. Lars Sullivan’s reported broken jaw from Takeover: Chicago has since been reported as only part of a storyline. Belair and Montez Ford were married late last month and the injury angle could be a way to explain Belair’s absence from television due to a honeymoon. That is only speculation, however.

Bianca Belair in the Original Mae Young Classic

Belair defeated Sage Beckett in the first round of the Mae Young Classic last year. She lost to the eventual tournament winner, Kairi Sane, in the second round, however.

She has steadily moved up the rankings in NXT as well. At the moment, Belair is 7-0 in single’s matches on NXT programming. She has defeated Lacey Evans, Latoya Allsopp, Jessix Hill, Miss Drew Renee, Candice LeRae, Aliyah, and Dakota Kai.

  • Lars Sullivan Injury Update

    Lars Sullivan Injury Update

Following his main event NXT title match with Aleister Black at Takeover, WWE announced Lars Sullivan had suffered a broken jaw. The promotion event sent out an X-Ray of Sullivan’s injury through their social media accounts.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had originally reported the injury as legit. They have now released a correction, however, stating that Sullivan’s broken jaw is just a part of his storyline. He did not actually suffer an injury at Takeover but that is the story WWE wants to tell.

It is not known when NXT will bring back Sullivan. The injury was likely a way to protect Sullivan while still having him lose to Black as it gives his character an excuse as to why he lost.

Sullivan’s loss to Aleister Black was his first loss in a single’s match on NXT programming.

    Triple H on Lars Sullivan

Following Takeover: Chicago II, Triple H spoke with Cathy Kelley. He spoke in regards to how Sullivan’s loss to Aleister Black will likely make him stronger.

“Here’s the thing, size, and strength but how long has (Lars) been doing this?” Triple H asked. “That’s really the unknown factor of how good can he become.”

“Lars Sullivan has been here for a cup of coffee, been in the ring for a cup of coffee,” Triple H said on Sullivan’s experience level. “Not someone who has spent years and years doing this.”

Triple H then talked about Lars’ performance in the main event that night.

“I don’t think there was a moment in there where he looked like he didn’t belong,” Triple H said. “To me, that is the ultimate victory. That Lars Sullivan, at this point in his career, was able to go toe-to-toe with Aleister Black.”

“He could be the most dangerous person here and this loss might actually be a blessing for him.”

Kairi Sane Tapped Out Vanessa Borne & Called Out Shayna Baszler

Vanessa Borne squared off against Kairi Sane this week. Borne drove Sane to the corner to start off the match. Sane threw Borne to the corner and wound up for a punch. Kairi elected to not punch the scared Borne in the face, instead she simply poked her in the forehead. Borne got pissed off and charged at Kairi but Sane was ready and dropped her to the canvas. Borne battled back and connected with a Samoan Drop for a two count.

Vanessa targeted Sane’s back for the next few minutes of the match. The crowd chanted for Kairi as Borne stomped on Sane’s back. Borne got up on the second rope and shouted at the crowd to cheer for her. The NXT crowd responded with boos and Sane used the time to regroup. Sane connected with a Neckbreaker to by herself some more time.

Kairi connected with the Interceptor Spear and fired herself up in the corner. Sane stomped around the ring and connected with a sliding forearm in the corner. Sane made her way up to the top rope but Vanessa got her with a punch to the face. Borne threw Sane off the turnbuckle and back down to the canvas. Borne rolled up Sane for a two count. Sane then locked in an awesome cross-legged Boston Crab for the submission victory.

After the match, Sane grabbed the microphone and stated that she has defeated Shayna Baszler before and that she is going to do it again. The crowd started chanting “again!” as Sane is coming for the treasure, the NXT Women’s Championship. Kairi then shouted “ahoy!” and posed in the ring.

    Ciampa Attacked Aleister Black

Aleister Black was interviewed backstage and stumbled upon Johnny Gargano. Johnny told Black that Ciampa cannot be the NXT Champion. Black said “okay” and started to walk away. Johnny grabbed him and Black told him to let him handle it. Black walked away and was then attacked from behind by Ciampa. Tommaso waved goodbye to Aleister after the attack. Black will defend the NXT Championship against Ciampa in two weeks.

Undisputed Era Recaptured The NXT Tag Titles

Mustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) defended their NXT Tag Team Championships against Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) in the main event of this week’s episode of NXT.

O’Reilly and Strong attacked Mustache Mountain right when the bell rang. Bate and Seven fought back with a couple of uppercuts. Bate Body Slammed Strong on top of O’Reilly. Seven then connected with a Senton on top of O’Reilly. Strong and O’Reilly were then tossed out of the ring.

Bate and Seven followed them out there and continued the beatdown as dueling “Undisputed!” and “Mustache Mountain!” chants broke out. O’Reilly and Strong battled back and slammed Seven’s knee into the steel steps. O’Reilly and Strong then isolated Seven in the corner of the ring and continued to target his knee.

O’Reilly and Strong took turns attacking Seven’s knee for the next several minutes of the match. Trent Seven was able to roll-up O’Reilly for a two count. Strong tagged in and dragged Seven to the apron. Seven used his good leg to boot Strong to the barricade. Seven then launched O’Reilly out of the ring and tried to crawl to the corner. Seven leaped across the ring to try and tag in Bate but O’Reilly dragged Bate off the apron to prevent the tag.

Seven connected with a DDT to Strong and then O’Reilly tagged himself in. Kyle sprinted across the ring and booted Bate off the ring apron. O’Reilly locked in the Heel Hook in the middle of the ring but Trent escaped with a few desperate kicks to the face. Seven finally was able to get to the corner and tag in Bate.

Tyler came into the ring and blasted Strong with an uppercut and followed it up with a standing Shooting Star Press for a two count. Bate lifted O’Reilly up for an Airplane Spin but O’Reilly countered into a Sleeper Hold. Bate broke the hold by slamming Kyle into the turnbuckle. Tyler then grabbed Strong and launched him into O’Reilly with an Exploder Suplex.

Bate lifted Strong onto his shoulders and then lifted O’Reilly up off the canvas at the same time and spun them both around. Seven was getting checked on by WWE officials on the apron as Bate tried to fight both O’Reilly and Strong by himself. Bate booted O’Reilly out of the ring but turned around into an Enziguri from Strong. Bate shrugged it off and planted Strong with the Tyler Driver.

Bate went for the cover but O’Reilly broke it up with a Dropkick for a two count. Bate launched Kyle out of the ring again as the crowd chanted “this is awesome!”. Seven got up on the apron and asked for a tag but Bate declined. Strong delivered a Backbreaker to Bate and tagged in O’Reilly.

O’Reilly connected with a boot to the face and then a Brainbuster for a near fall. Strong tagged in as Bate desperately tried to fight back. Roderick missed and accidentally struck O’Reilly. Trent Seven tagged himself in and started chopping O’Reilly and Strong in the chest. Trent connected with the Seven Stars Lariat on Strong for a two count.

Seven lifted Strong up in a Torture Rack but his knee gave out. Strong hit Seven with a chop block to the back of the knee and applied the Strong Clutch. Bate broke it up with a kick to Strong’s face. O’Reilly tagged in and leaped onto Seven’s knee from the second rope. O’Reilly once again locked in the Heel Hook in the middle of the ring and Seven screamed in pain.

Bate tried to fire up his partner and desperately reached his hand out for a tag. O’Reilly dragged Seven back into the middle of the ring and maintained the hold. Seven and O’Reilly traded slaps to the face but Kyle wouldn’t let go of the hold. Seven clubbed his way out of the hold and both Superstars slowly made their way back up to their feet.

TM61 Defeated Otis Dozovic In A Handicap Match

TM61 (Nick Miller & Shane Thorne) were scheduled to face Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic) on tonight’s episode of NXT. TM61 attacked Tucker Knight at the WWE Performance Center earlier in the day and Otis demanded a Handicap Match.

Otis beat the hell out of Miller and Thorne to start off the match. Otis knocked them both out of the ring and shouted: “nobody messes with my brother!”. Back in the ring, the numbers game caught up to Dozovic and TM61 took turns beating him down. Miller and Thorne tried to Suplex Otis but he reversed it and planted them both.

Dozovic hit a bunch of shoulder tackles and Clotheslines and then launched Miller onto Thorne in the corner of the ring. Otis connected with a giant Splash and then fired himself up. Otis did the worm across the ring and dropped an elbow on Thorne.

Otis made his way up to the second turnbuckle and went for the Vader Bomb but Miller dragged Thorne out of the ring. Thorne kneed Otis in the face and tagged in Miller. Thorne then blasted Otis in the back of the head and Miller covered him for the pinfall victory.

Velveteen Dream Earned A Victory Over Chris Dijak

Chris Dijak faced Velveteen Dream tonight on NXT. Dijak shoved Dream to the corner and said “feast your..” but Dream interrupted with a pose of his own. Velveteen slapped Dijak in the chest and Dijak responded with a chop of his own. Dream hit a knee to the face but Dijak shrugged it off and launched Dream across the ring while shouting “time to fly”.

Dijak booted Dream in the chest and then threw him around the ring like he was nothing as the crowd chanted “feast your eyes”. Dream tripped up Dijak and then beat the hell out of him with strikes to the face and ribs. Velveteen connected with a Neckbreaker and followed it up with a Leg Drop for a one count.

Dream applied a Headlock in the middle of the ring but Dijak quickly battled to his feet. Dijak took Dream’s head off with a massive right hand and followed it up with a spin kick to the midsection for a two count. Dream rolled out of the ring and Dijak made his way to the ring apron. Dream capitalized and tripped Dijak and he went tumbling face-first into the steel steps.

Velveteen rolled back into the ring and Dijak slowly crawled his way back inside. Dijak was still feeling the effects of falling into the steps and Dream sensed an opportunity. Dream grabbed Dijak and planted him with a DDT for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Velveteen Dream took his sweet time posing and twirling around in the ring. EC3 interrupted Dream’s celebration of himself and made his way down to the ring for the main event of tonight’s NXT.

EC3 squared off against Johnny Gargano in the main event of this week’s episode of NXT. Gargano went right after EC3 to start off the match and chased him around the ring. EC3 applied a Headlock and shouted at Gargano to settle down. Gargano broke free but EC3 dropped him with a shoulder tackle.

Johnny battled back with a chop to the chest and a forearm to EC3’s face. Gargano brought EC3 to the corner and hit a few more chops to the chest.
