Hangman Page was busted open at a World Series Wrestling show in Australia yesterday. The 26-year-old was wrestling Austin Aries for the Impact World Championship. Page lost the match and had his eye split open in the process.

He posted a photo of the injury to his Instagram account:

World Series Wrestling just announced a deal for their events to stream on the Global Wrestling Network. Impact’s streaming service also features events from promotions such as Destiny Wrestling, Border City Wrestling, RISE, and Smash Wrestling.

Page revealed in an interview recently that he only quit his job as a teacher after learning he was to become a member of Bullet Club in 2016.

“With one phone call I was told I would be in Bullet Club and I was going to Japan for three weeks, then continually after that. It was pretty cool and life-changing. At the time I was a high school teacher,” Page said.

“I taught graphic design, multimedia, and journalism. I would take sick days and wrestle on the weekends. At that point, I knew if I was doing three-week tours of Japan I couldn’t keep teaching because I couldn’t be “sick” that long.”

Here is a Tweet Page sent shortly after finding out he was joining Bullet Club:

Page started wrestling in 2011 and started working for Ring of Honor the following year.

“I could also afford not to teach anymore because I would be more in-demand so to speak. I quit teaching and became a full-time wrestler. That more than anything in my whole career changed my life.”

Page is scheduled to team with Marty Scurll to take on Hiroshi Tanahashi and KUSHIDA at the G1 Special in San Francisco next month.

  • Cody Launches YouTube Channel: Inside Look At The Origin Of All In

Cody Launches YouTube Channel: Inside Look At The Origin Of All In

Cody has launched his own YouTube channel. The self-proclaimed leader of Bullet Club released his first video yesterday. The video features Cody and the Bucks talking about the process of organizing All-In.

“On May 13th, 2018, ALL IN sold out in 29 minutes. The ALL IN event was created by Cody Rhodes, Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson to prove a point. This series, ALL US, was created to document their process as they produce this landmark event on September 1st.

Is the success of ALL IN a blessing or a curse? Who called the three after the sell-out? What is their biggest fear the night before the event? And what makes ALL IN work?”

    What Went Into Organizing All-In?

The Jacksons and Cody discussed how fans’ perception is All-In will be a money-making project. The three were quick to point out that even with 10,000 seats being sold, they will be lucky to break even.

“Some people think we’re getting rich, that’s completely the opposite,” Nick Jackson said. “We’re probably going to break-even at the end of the day because we don’t realize how much goes into an actual show. Every day it’s like ‘oh, we have to pay for this guy’s flight, I forgot’”

The trio also mentioned that Hulk Hogan had expressed interest in participating but his asking price is too high for them.

    Potential Matches for All-In

The only match officially announced for the show thus far is Cody challenging for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Current NWA Champion, Nick Aldis, will have to remain champion through the summer but if he does, he will face Cody in the main event.

Other possible matches for the show include Joey Ryan taking on Hangman Page. The two wrestlers have been building a rather bizarre angle which has played out on Being the Elite.

Another possible angle which could lead to something at All-In involves Jay Lethal. Recently on Being the Elite, Lethal has been slipping in and out of his old Black Machismo character. This started when Lanny Poffo gave Lethal a pair of Randy Savage’s old sunglasses at an ROH show earlier this year.

Flip Gordon still has not been booked.

All-In takes place September 1st, 2018 from the Sears Centre in Chicago.

More Details on WWE Blocking ROH From Running MSG

Last week, it was reported that the Ring of Honor was looking at booking Madison Square Garden for WrestleMania 35 weekend next April. A report from Pro Wrestling Insider then stated WWE had blocked them from booking the famous arena.

Chief Operating Officer for Ring of Honor, Joe Koff, spoke to PWI’s Mike Johnson.

“You know, I’m going to tell you Mike because you are asking. I’m not going to discuss beyond this statement because I am not going to litigate this in the press. We had a deal with (the) Garden and they then told us they were backing out after communications from the WWE. We are not able to get any other dates in any kind of discussion. I’m expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope for is that we can find resolution, and we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan brings to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas to the fans of New York City.”

A recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now stating WWE was able to block ROH booking the building with just one phone call.

WWE Blocks ROH From Booking Madison Square Garden

According to the Observer, ROH officials are furious about what happened and are looking at legal options.

“We were told last week by sources close to the situation that it could and probably would turn into an ugly legal fight.” Dave Meltzer on WWE blocking ROH at Madison Square Garden

Ring of Honor officials had been of the belief a deal had been struck, although the terms were agreed to orally and not in writing. MSG canceled the deal reportedly after one phone call from a high-ranking WWE employee (not Vince McMahon).

Sinclair believes a court would not uphold MSG’s cancellation of their agreement. This is the case despite the agreement never having been signed. There is also speculation that Madison Square Garden officials were looking for other wrestling promotions as WWE only runs house shows in the arena a few times a year. WWE does not generally broadcast television shows or PPVs from the arena due to the increased cost the venue charges for such rights. Some are saying MSG was upset the company will not be running WrestleMania from the arena despite being in the surrounding area.

AAA Lucha Libre has also expressed interesting in running MSG later this year.

Austin Aries is slated to make his return to ROH at their upcoming Best in the World PPV.

ROH did not reveal whether he would be wrestling at this event or just making an appearance.

If you recall, Aries returned to Ring of Honor back in March at the 16th Anniversary pay-per-view where he originally challenged Kenny King to a match for the TV title at a later date.

His next appearance came when he attacked Todd Sinclar and King in May on the ROH/NJPW War of the Worlds Tour after issuing another challenge for the strap.

Ring of Honor has made a change to a key match at the upcoming Best in the World PPV.

Originally, the promotion announced that Punishment Martinez would take on Adam Page in a singles match at this show. However, the promotion had to make a change to this contest once Martinez was able to capture the ROH World Television Title by defeating Silas Young over the weekend at an event in Dallas, TX at Gilley’s Dallas.

Now, Martinez will defend the TV Title against Page in a Street Fight at Best in the World.

  • WWE Blocks ROH From Running MSG

WWE Blocks ROH From Running MSG

ROH will in fact not be holding an event at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City next year.

It was revealed in an interview with Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. CEO Chris Ripley by Baltimore Business Journal that came out just last week that the promotion had plans of holding a show at the arena. However, that won’t be the case.

ROH COO Joe Koff spoke with PWinsider.com on Tuesday (June 19, 2018) to promote the upcoming Best in the World pay-per-view event.

In that interview, Koff revealed that they will not be running an event at MSG due to the arena backing out after talks with the WWE.

“I’m not going to discuss beyond this statement because I am not going to litigate this in the press.  We had a deal with [Madison Square] Garden and they then told us they were backing out after communications from the WWE.  We are not able to get any other dates in any kind of discussion.

I’m expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope is that we can find a resolution, so we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City. ”

Although this was not confirmed at the time, the belief was that ROH would hold the event at MSG during WrestleMania 35 weekend.

It’s also been reported that the sports entertainment company was not pleased with MSG over letting ROH secure a date with them, which is most likely why MSG pulled its date with ROH.

Also, Koff was asked if there was even a possibility of a date still on the books with MSG. His response was short and to the point.

“There is no date and the discussion is going to end here on that.”

Rumored Date For ROH At MSG, Alexa Bliss On Her MITB Victory

Possible Date For Ring Of Honor’s MSG Show

It was reported before that Ring Of Honor was looking to run a show at Madison Square Garden sometime next year but the exact date of this event was not known.

Now Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that the company is planning to hold this show on April 6th next year, during the WrestleMania weekend.

What’s interesting to note here is that WWE will be holding an NXT Takeover on the same night, meaning that ROH’s event will be clashing directly with a WWE Show.

This is bound to make the already unhappy WWE Officials even angrier and now it’d be interesting to see what steps they take to block this show.

Alexa Bliss On Her MITB Victory

While the decision from WWE is receiving mixed reactions online, it’s safe to say that The Money In The Bank PPV was a successful night for the Goddess Alexa Bliss.

Bliss not only defeated the other 7 Women to win the Money In The Bank briefcase, but she went on to successfully cash it in later in the night to win the Raw Women’s Championship back from Nia Jax.

She was interviewed backstage after her title victory and during the interaction, Alexa revealed if she had planned this all along. You can check out her interview in the video below:

  • Hangman Page Comments On Possibly Having Murdered Joey Ryan

Hangman Page Comments On Possibly Having Murdered Joey Ryan

While Hangman Page’s career seems to be skyrocketing, recent events could lead to his downfall. As has been alluded to recently on Being the Elite, there are concerns that Hangman Page is responsible for the disappearance of famous dick-wrestler, Joey Ryan.

He recently sat down with Impact Wrestling and AMBY’s Alicia Atout and spoke about the current allegations against him.

“If (Joey Ryan) is missing forever, I’m kind of fine with that,” Page explained. “But you know, it wasn’t me.”

Did Hangman Page Murder Joey Ryan?

Atout brought up that Joey Ryan’s wife has been raising concerns about Ryan’s whereabouts. She insinuated some are of the belief Page is responsible for Ryan’s disappearance. She asked Page why he dislikes Ryan so much.

“He was a penis pretender,” Page said. “I’m going to talk about him in the past tense maybe; he’s missing.”

“For years and years he built his whole career off a lie,” Page said regarding Ryan’s emphasis on his genitals. “As if he had a more impressive nether region than I did and it just wasn’t true.”

If Joey Ryan is ever to return, he might want to face Hangman Page on a big show. All-In on September 1st from Chicago seems like a possible time and location for such a match.

Hangman Page on Bullet Club Civil War

Atout also asked Page about the dissension in Bullet Club.

“At this point, it’s just down to Kenny and Cody; Two alpha males who they can’t help but want to call themselves the leader,” Page said. “We’re grown men, I don’t think we need a leader.”

Hangman Page will be in Texas tonight and tomorrow for Ring of Honor’s “State of the Art” tour. His most recent match was at Dominion this weekend. Page teamed with Cody and Marty Scurll to defeat the team of Rey Mysterio Jr, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Jushin “Thunder” Liger. He’ll team with the Young Bucks and Marty Scurll to go up against the Briscoes and KES tonight in San Antonio and then part of an ROH TV title 6-way Proving Ground match in Dallas on Saturday.

Ring Of Honor Announces “International Cup” For August UK Tour

Ring of Honor will be holding their first of what they hope will be many “International Cup” tournaments in mid-August. The promotion will be heading back to the UK from August 16th to 19th, 2018.

The cup will be competed for via an 8-man tournament featuring wrestlers from the United States against wrestlers from the United Kingdom. ROH noted they hope to follow a similar format for tournaments in Japan, Germany, and Mexico.

    ROH’s International Cup

While the participants for the tournament have yet to be announced, ROH has revealed the tournament format.

The four 1st-round matches in the tournament will all take place in Edinburgh on August 16th, 2018. Each match will pit a UK wrestler versus one from the United States.

Both the semi-finals and the finals of the tournament will be held in Doncaster, England on August 18th, 2018. This part of the tournament does not appear to be based on the UK versus the United States theme but rather just pits wrestlers who advanced past the 1st round against each other regardless of where they are from.

The winner of the tournament will then move on to the show from London’s York Hall on August 19th, 2018. On that show, the ROH World Champion will defend the title against the winner of the first-ever ROH International Cup.

Tickets are available for all shows on ROHWrestling.com.

    ROH Dojo

In other Ring of Honor news, the ROH Dojo is due to open next week. The Ring of Honor dojo is holding a 2-day camp on June 23rd and 24th. Delirious, BJ Whitmer, Jonathan Gresham, and Will Ferrara will be on hand for the camp.

Selected camp participants will then be invited to continue training at the dojo.

ROH will be in Texas this weekend. They have shows from both San Antonio and Dallas coming up on Friday and Saturday night.

ROH Looking To Run Madison Square Garden Next Year

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. CEO Chris Ripley revealed the interesting plans that ROH has for 2019.

The Baltimore Business Journal has reported that Ring of Honor is looking to hold an event at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City next year. The reason for this plan is due to the successful sell-out of All In.

The article would go onto to credit WWE’s upcoming television deals with NBCUniversal to keep their flagship show, Monday Night RAW, on the USA Network and moving SmackDown Live to FOX for ROH to have a more relevant name value in the industry.

Ripley stated that the plan that the company has to grow the Baltimore-based promotion is to take advantage of a “very passionate fanbase.” He noted that they want to start running bigger venues, which started when they sold out 10,000 seats in less than an hour in Chicago. Thus, the reason they want to run MSG.

“We have been scaling in terms of our production quality,” Ripley said.

Ripley would go onto talk about why they would be open to selling the promotion if a ridiculous offer came about, WWE’s TV deal and more. You can check out the full article here.

  • All In to Feature a Title v Title Match?

All In to Feature a Title v Title Match?

The Cody Rhodes and Young Bucks’ self-funded “All In” event which sold out in 30 minutes is going to be the biggest show in the independent wrestling scene. Fans of wrestling are looking forward to the event which will take place at September 1. Major names from the wrestling world have been confirmed for the show, but only one big match has been announced and we don’t have a full match card yet.

At the Ring of Honor: United show in London, Cody Rhodes was interrupted by the current NWA World Champion, Nick Aldis. Both of them are set to face each other at All In, but Aldis wanted plans to change a little.

Cody is going to challenge the Ring of Honor World Champion Dalton Castle for his title at ROH Best in the World next month. Aldis wants his match with Cody to be a title for title match if Cody wins the ROH World Championship.

Cody agreed to Aldis’ stipulation of the match and looks like it will be a title for title match at All In if Cody is able to win the ROH World Championship from Dalton Castle.
