  • TNA iMPACT! Results For March 29, 2010

    Report by Tim Capture:

Below are full results from tonight’s taped edition of TNA Impact from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

    TNA Impact

    * Team 3D come out and talk about the poll on the official TNA website to determine the most popular tag team and how it was a tie between them and the Motor City Machine Guns. Team 3D challenge the Guns for the title shot for the tag titles they won at Destination X. The Motor City Machine Guns accept.

    * The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D ends in no contest. Chris Sabin accidentally took out referee Slick Johnson. Earl Hebner came down to replace him and the match ended in a double pin with Devon pinning Sabin and Shelley winning Brother Ray.

    * Jeff Jarrett is in Hulk Hogan’s office. Hogan is apologizing for Eric Bischoff. He and Eric make a good team but he does wrong things sometimes. Hogan was impressed by how he handled Eric so he’s giving him a shot at AJ Styles for #1 contendership. Jarrett leaves and Jay Lethal comes in to try and form the Mega Powers. They shook hands but it’s unclear what will come of it.

    * Impact opening. Wolfpac and Bubba come out to start the show. Bubba is on the mic. He calls everybody pathetic sheep and marks who wouldn’t want to be him. He doesn’t need this job but he likes hanging with these types of guys. He says no disrespect but he’s better than Hemme and JB. He smack talks Eric Young and hands the mic to Nash. He says he and Young have become friends over the past year so he’d like him to come out so he can apologize man-to-man. Young is out. Nash says what he did was business and not personal. If there’s anybody to join the Band it’s him. He says the match isn’t happening tonight, RVD and Hardy aren’t in their league. He offers him to join. Young instead attacks everybody. They beat him down until Hardy and RVD make the save.

    * Hardy gets on the mic and says he’s ready to do this match right now. He says in honor of Lockdown, the main event is in a steel cage. He’s now signing his theme song live.

    * Dough Williams & Brian Kendrick vs. Shannon Moore & Kaz. Winner via spinning neckbreaker off the second rope from Moore to Kendrick, Shannon Moore & Kaz. After the match, Moore put an X on Kendrick’s forehead with makeup.

    * Eric Bischoff backstage on the phone telling someone he’ll make it work and to have fun in New York. He calls over Miss Tessmacher to do some work. Lethal comes in to try and get him a 3rd member of the Mega Powers. He also has ideas for the show with guys like Iron Sheik, Junkyard Dog and others. Bischoff says to think big and come up with a main event. Lethal says he’ll come up with something great and leaves. Bischoff asks Miss Tessmacher to get him Beer Money.

    * The Pope is in the ring. Pope has been dreaming of his Lockdown match his whole life with Flair and AJ trying to take him out. He says Flair’s time was 50 years ago. Pope wants AJ to head down to Cape Canaveral, to Kennedy Space Center and get a spacesuit because at Lockdown he’s taking him to the outer limits. When the smoke is cleared, Pope will be in the ring, the champion at Lockdown and the people will say the Pope, is, pimping. Chelsea comes to the ring. Pope asks what he can do for her. She says usually gets what she wants her whole life, but she’d like to be, how you say, a ho? He asks if she knows how to drive a stick? She says no but she’s a quick learner. She asks if that’s a gun in her pocket or he’s happy to see her? Desmond Wolfe tries to run in but Pope tosses him out and kisses Chelsea and leaves.

    * Orlando Jordan is hanging over the ring attached to caution tape and is naked it seems. He’s going to rappel down. Jordan rappels down slowly to his music. He’s writhing around seductively and posting, crawling up the ramp. He has a set but no one can see it. Staffers put a curtain down in front of it before the audience could see what happened next.

    * JB backstage with Tara. First blood match with Daffney tonight because she took something special of hers. Tonight she’ll learn pain. Daffney attacks her and the match has started as they fight to the ring. Winner via tool box to the head, Tara

    * They’ve been doing free face paintings all day so they can turn off the lights when Hardy comes out and you can see all the glow in the dark face paint.

    * Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles in a non title match. If Jarrett wins he’s the #1 contender after Lockdown Chelsea wheeled Ric Flair out after AJ and Jarrett got in the ring. He’s watching from the ramp. Flair was thrown out for trying to get involved. Flair is back out ringside and the referee is distracted and eventually knocked out. Bischoff comes out with a guitar to hit Jarrett but Jarrett grabs it. AJ low blows Jarrett during this, hits the Styles Clash and wins the match as the ref comes to. AJ’s hand got cut open somehow and was bleeding heavily.

    * JB backstage with Hardy, RVD and Young. Young says he did what he did because it was the right thing to do. Young is here for the right reasons and Nash is here for the wrong reasons. RVD agrees and says he’s got Young’s back. Hardy says guys like Nash try to hold them down while they climb the ladder to the top Lethal is backstage and stops Bischoff and says the main should be the model vs. Brutus Beefcake. Bischoff says there’s only one real main eventer here and it’s him. Eric says get to the ring so he can see who his opponent is. Winner via quick small package on Roode, Jay Lethal.

    * Desmond Wolfe w/Chelsea vs. The Pope. Chelsea distracted Hebner so Wolfe could use a chained fist on Pope and get the win.

    * They’re setting up the cage now. Thirty minutes later, Kurt Angle is out and in the cage. He says Anderson has been gunning for him since he came to TNA. He says he thinks he’s as good as Angle but he has no idea who he is. He’s an elite athlete who is in control, but with Anderson he lost control. Maybe it’s because of what he did with his warrior tags. What he does know is that at Lockdown it’s them in a cage with no control. It will end with his hands and face covered in Anderson’s blood. Anderson is out at the top of the ramp. He says this war needs to stop, they might kill each other. Week after week, he bloodies Angle, Angle bloodies him. He hits him with a chair, Angle hits him. He beats Angle, Angle beats him. TNA management says they’ll lose money if two of their top stars get hurt. Angle says this isn’t about management, it’s about kicking Anderson’s ass. Anderson says Bischoff sanctioned a match on next week’s Imact between Angle and Anderson in a ladder match. At the top will be a key to open the door of the cage at Lockdown. Anderson says the better man is supposed to win and Angle is a better father, son and role model. Overall Angle is a nice guy, but nice guys always finish last. Anderson says thank god he’s an asshole…..asshole.

    * The fight started outside the ring. Everybody but Eric Young got in before Syxx Pac locked the cage. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Syxx Pac vs. Jeff Hardy, RVD and Eric Young. On the way to the ring, Angle gave Nash the Wolfpac sign. Nothing as the show ends.

  • TNA X-Division Star Released, Mick Foley Retiring Soon

    – According to sources within TNA, Consequences Creed is gone from the company. His profile has been removed from the TNA website and Creed just posted the following on Twitter: “Thanks for the support! Yea it’s true no more TNA for me.”

    – In his latest MySpace blog, TNA star Mick Foley says his days in the ring are coming to an end soon. “I will be turning 45 in just a few months, and I can definitely see the end of the wrestling road coming,” Foley said. “I’m really not sure when I’ll be back in TNA, or even if, or for how long, so I really want to be prepared for life after wrestling.”

  • TNA To Debut Groundbreaking Gimmick Tonight (Spoiler)

TNA Wrestling is receiving positive press via OutSports.com for featuring the first openly bisexual wrestler in a major U.S.-based pro wrestling promotion. The wrestler in question is Orlando Jordan, who resurfaces on tonight’s pre-taped episode of iMPACT!.

An article posted on the website notes “Orlando Jordan is the character – and truly is bisexual, not just portraying a gay (or bi) character, as has been the norm in pro wrestling’s past.”

The article then describes Jordan’s segment on the show, which sees him lowered into the ring from the arena’s rafters wrapped in yellow police tape. He then crawls up the ramp to sit on a couch between a male and female alongside a tri-colored bisexual pride flag.

  • HBK Talks About Flair Still Wrestling, Raw Preemption, More

    — In an interview with Kevin Eck of The Baltimore Sun, Shawn Michaels gives his feelings on Ric Flair continuing to wrestle despite losing a “career threatening” match against him two years ago at WrestleMania. HBK notes that Flair called him when he was going to sign with TNA to ask him if he was okay with it.

“He did call me. He called me once to let me know he was going to do the [Hulk] Hogan match in Australia. He wanted to know if it was OK and I of course told him that it was. Then he called me again when he was going to sign with TNA and asked the same thing. There’s nothing you can say. I certainly don’t have what it takes to look at somebody and say, “Don’t go make a living.” I told him that, for me, nothing can take away that special moment. It will still always be to me that I had Ric Flair’s last match. I tried to do the best job I could for him. I think it was a special moment. Anything after that [pauses]. I feel for him, but I’m certainly not angry or disappointed or anything. I would like to think that Ric probably would have liked that to have been his last match, too. The fact that it couldn’t be, I understand. Those are circumstances that I certainly can’t control.

“One of the things you have to understand is that if you’re going to be a friend of Ric’s, you sort of know that there’s some baggage that comes along with that. Certainly the older I get the more I’m learning about conditional situations, and the difference between that and unconditional — unconditional friendship, unconditional love. All those types of things we can talk about but it’s a whole other thing to put them into action. I do my best to put them into action. I want what’s best for Ric, even if Ric might not always be aware of what that is, I still want that for him. Nothing will take away from that moment. It’s sill truly special. I still wear my watch every day, so it’s still something I’m really proud of.”

Among the other topics discussed were whether he is ready to legitimately walk away from the business, what his backstage meeting with Bret Hart in January was like, his match with Undertaker last year at WrestleMania, and more. To read the interview in its entirety, click here.

    — Due to the final game of the NCAA basketball tournament, The Score in Canada will not air Monday Night Raw at 9:15 PM (ET) on April 5th, 2010. Raw will be shown at midnight (ET) instead. This means that TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV is going unopposed in Canada that night. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

    — In the following video, Dolph Ziggler says he’s confident about his chances in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match tonight at WrestleMania.

  • TNA Star Debuting Shocking New Character This Monday

Orlando Jordan, who has not appeared on TNA programming since the Feb. 18th edition of iMPACT!, resurfaces this Monday night on iMPACT! with a character “unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.”

The show, which was taped this past Tuesday in Orlando, Fla., saw Jordan lowered into the ring from the arena’s rafters wrapped in yellow police tape with the TNA logo. He then crawled through the ring and ultimately walked to a nearby white couch where he sat between a shirtless male and a sexy female. Behind the trio is the tri-colored bisexual pride flag, plus two male symbols and one female symbol. In an Impact Zone first, the segment garnered a “that was creepy” chant.

To add further details, Jordan has changed his hair again and is now wearing makeup. He also comes out barefoot à la “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka.

Here’s a picture of Jordan at Tuesday’s iMPACT! tapings:

  • Reaction To Young Partnering With Hardy & RVD, Kong Update

    — There was said to be a collective groan among a large group of wrestlers and TNA personnel watching iMPACT! on the backstage monitor when Eric Young interrupted Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy’s post-match celebration on Monday. The “unanimous opinion” was that Young killed the moment due to the fact that he’s nowhere near the level of Van Dam and Hardy. While everyone describes “EY” as a nice guy, the feeling is he’s been given so much television time over the years due to his friendship with the company’s power players. (source: Pro Wrestling Torch)

    — Recently released TNA Knockout Awesome Kong will be returning to the ring on May 8th for Ring of Honor. Facing Sara Del Ray, she will be using her former name of Amazing Kong.

    — In a brief video interview with lethalwow.com, Angelina Love discusses being back with TNA Wrestling. She says her release from the company last year was “heartbreaking,” but that “everything happens for a reason.” Apparently in regards to her contractual status, she said she’s “back for another three years, at least.”

  • TNA Wrestling Reportedly Having Financial Problems

One oft-overlooked factor in TNA’s destiny to compete with rival promotion World Wrestling Entertainment are the added expenses entailed.

Since January, the company has ballooned its roster to over 70 performers with the notable additions of high priced stars such as Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy and the former Mr. Kennedy. Furthermore, the company has added the costly expense of going live every other Monday night and promotion of said move (i.e. airing commercials during Monday Night Raw and running Billboards in Times Square). Other than slight bumps in house show attendance and merchandise sales, TNA has to little to show for its efforts. In fact, ratings are at its lowest levels in four years due to the move to Monday nights.

Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer cryptically said during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that TNA is having bigger financial problems than most realize.

“I’m worried about my friends who work for TNA because they have bigger financial problems than anyone knows,” Meltzer said.

  • Bischoff’s Fake Guitar Playing, Hernandez Update

    – Word is that a TNA office worker was the one who actually did the guitar work on iMPACT this past week when Eric Bischoff opened the show with a guitar solo in the ring. The story goes that trick camera work was used to make it look like Bischoff was actually playing.

    – TNA has posted an update to the storyline injury to Hernandez on iMPACT last week at the hands of his tag team partner Matt Morgan. TNA is saying that Hernandez was released from the hospital on Thursday and has suffered a herniated disc and cervical damage to his neck.  Hernandez will be out of action indefinitely and the status of the TNA Tag Team Titles is unknown. TNA says that Matt Morgan is claiming ownership of both belts.

This is all a storyline as Hernandez is not injured. It’s possible he’s being wrote out of the storylines to be sent down to the AAA promotion in Mexico. The plan has been for Hernandez to spend some time in Mexico in hopes of returning to the US as a bigger Mexican star. While it wouldn’t make sense to write him out with a serious injury and then have him pop up in Mexico, but stranger things have happened.

  • Vince McMahon Rips On TNA, Says They’re Not Competition

In an interview with Acorn-Online to promote Sunday’s WrestleMania XXVI pay-per-view, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon said that after 26 years, WrestleMania remains a very special event for him and his company. Most of the interview is fluff, however McMahon made some rare comments about the company now challenging WWE RAW on Monday nights, TNA Wrestling.

McMahon says that despite TNA’s attempt to “go to war” with his company, it’s a losing battle, as he sees their companies to be in different industries all together. “We’re in different business. We’re in the entertainment business and they’re in the ‘pro wrasslin’ business. It’s different markets.”

McMahon spoke about iMPACT! moving to Monday nights and said that even with all the big stars they’ve sign and their more adult-themed programming, they’re still nowhere near the product that WWE presents.  “When they moved to Monday nights they threw the kitchen sink at us and  only did a fraction of our audience. It doesn’t speak well for the type of product they’re trying to present with the tawdry, blood-soaked action. I don’t think that’s what the culture wants these days.”

McMahon added that a global entertainment empire like WWE is more similar to a company like Disney than TNA Wrestling. “We’re woven into the fabric of Americana,” Mr. McMahon said.

  • Dixie Carter Comments On 4/5 iMPACT! Time Change

As previously reported, Spike’s TV’s Upcoming Listings list an 8pm (EST) start time for the next live airing of TNA iMPACT! (April 5), an hour earlier than normal. This will give the show an unopposed hour and then hour two would go head-to-head with the first hour of WWE RAW.

The schedule lists the following two weeks starting at the usual 9PM start time.

TNA President Dixie Carter posted a message on Twitter regarding the time shift of the April 5th iMPACT!:

“To maximize viewership, iMPACT! will air on Spike from 8-10pm ET on 4/5 as to not conflict w/NCAA Men’s bball finals on CBS. PLS RT”.

You know TNA and Spike will be watching very closely to see how the show performs an hour earlier with a full unopposed hour.

    Dixie Carter later wrote:

“Had a great trip to NY with Hogan. Big Spike dinner. Lots of exciting things going on.”

  • Paul Heyman Meets With TNA Employees In New York

In his new book Rope Opera: How WCW Killed Vince Russo, TNA writer vince Russo claims that he personally reached out to Paul Heyman and tried getting him to join TNA. Russo wrote, “Oh, and one last thing, for the record: I called Paul E personally to ask him to join TNA. He declined.”

There’s no time line given as to when Heyman was allegedly offered a job with TNA, but the book was published on January 22nd, 2010.

It’s also worth noting that a great deal has transpired in TNA since Vince Russo would have reached out to Paul Heyman. Just last week, Taz and Tommy Dreamer noted on Twitter that they had dinner with Paul Heyman and Brother Ray of Team 3D in New York.

With the strong presence of ECW originals in TNA and the shaky power structure at the top of TNA, one has to wonder if guys like Taz, Brother Ray and RVD will make a stronger push to get Heyman into TNA.

  • *Spoilers* TNA iMPACT! Results For 3/29

Credit to JP Nichols and PWInsider.com for the following:

    Dark Match:

Daniels defeated New Japan’s Kazuchika Okada with the Best Moonsault Ever.

    Taped Xplosion:

    Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne.

    Taped for Next Monday’s iMPACT:

Team 3D comes to the ring and get on the mic. They mention a poll on the TNA website to determine the most popular tag team and it was a tie between them and the Motor City Machine Guns. Team 3D challenged the Machine Guns for the title shot that the Machine Guns earned at Generation X and the Machine Guns accepted.

Motor City Machine Guns versus Team 3D goes to a No Contest. During the match, Chris Sabin accidentally knocked out referee Slick Johnson. Earl Hebner came out to replace Johnson and the match ended with a double pin. Devon had Sabin pinned while Shelley pinned Ray.

They show a video on the big screen of Hulk Hogan apologizing to Jeff Jarrett for what Eric Bischoff has done to him over the last few weeks. Hogan tells Jarrett to go out there and kick A.J. Styles’ butt tonight.

Jay Lethal walks into the office and Hogan and Lethal have what is described as a pretty funny interaction. Lethal was doing his Black Machismo gimmick with Hogan.

They do the opening for Impact and The Band comes to the ring and they are joined by Bubba the Love Sponge. Bubba calls the fans ‘marks’ and ‘sheep’. They say that Bubba fits with the Band because of what they do. Nash gets on the mic and he calls out Eric Young to apologize to him. Young comes to the ring and Nash says that what he did was not personal. Nash says that the six man tag match will not happen tonight. Nash offers Young a spot in The Band.

Young hits Nash, Hall, and Waltman and then he goes to choke Bubba but The Band attack Young and get the upper hand. Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy come to the ring and The Band leaves the ring.

Jeff Hardy announces to the crowd that the match will still happen and in honor of Lockdown, the match will take place inside a steel cage.

During this segment, Eric Young was getting a crowd reaction equal to Van Dam and Hardy.

Shannon Moore and Kazarian defeat TNA X Division Champion Doug Williams and Brian Kendrick when Moore pinned Kendrick after a leaping spinning neck breaker from the middle rope. After the match, Shannon Moore put make up on Kendrick.

D’Angelo Dinero comes out and he says that a moment that he has been waiting for his entire career was almost spoiled by A.J. Styles and Ric Flair. Despite their best efforts, he is alive and well. He says that Styles is a shadow in the streetlights and he is the godlight of TNA. Dinero tells Styles to get a spacesuit because at Lockdown he will take A.J. to the ‘outer limits’. Dinero says that A.J. may be ‘phenomenal’ but he will never be the Pope. When the smoke clears, the Pope will have not only arrived but he will be pimpin.

Chelsea comes to the ring and Dinero asks how he can help her. Chelsea says that there is one thing that he can help her with and that is to help her become a ho. Desmond Wolfe gets to the ring through the crowd but Dinero throws Wolfe out of the ring. Dinero then makes out with Chelsea in the ring and sets her on the mat. Dinero leaves some money in her cleavage before leaving the ring.

Orlando Jordan was hanging above the ring and was then lowered to the mat covered in yellow tape. Jordan crawls up the ramp and goes towards the announce table where something was set up. The crowd was chanting ‘that was creepy’.

Before anything could happen with Jordan, the thing set up for Orlando Jordan was taken down.

Jeremy Borash is in the back conducting an interview with Tara when Daffney attacked her. They brawl into the Impact Zone for their First Blood Match.

Tara defeats Daffney in a First Blood Match when Tara hit Daffney in the head with the tool box to cause Daffney to bleed. Daffney appeared to enjoy being busted open.

A.J. Styles defeats Jeff Jarrett with the Styles Clash. Ric Flair was ejected from ringside early in the match but he came back later in the match and distracted the referee. The referee was knocked out. Jarrett hit the Stroke from the second turnbuckle while the referee was out so there was no count. Eric Bischoff comes out with a guitar and he was going to hit Jarrett with it, but Jarrett stopped Bischoff. Styles hit Jarrett with a low blow and then got the win with the Styles Clash.

This was described as a good match.

Eric Bischoff is backstage with Jay Lethal and Lethal instructed Bischoff to come up with a main event-esque match. Bischoff has a match in mind and he tells Lethal to go to the ring.

Jay Lethal defeats Beer Money with a small package on Roode while Storm was not paying attention.

Desmond Wolfe defeats D’Angelo Dinero as a result of hitting Dinero with brass knuckles while Chelsea distracted the referee.

The cage is being set up for the main event.

Kurt Angle and Ken Anderson cut promos talking about their cage match at Lockdown. It was announced that there will be a ladder match between Anderson and Angle on next week’s Impact.

Eric Young, Rob Van Dam, and Jeff Hardy defeat The Band in a Steel Cage Match when Eric Young pinned Sean Waltman after an elbow drop from the top of the cage. The finish of the match saw Hardy hit a Swanton followed by a Five Star Frog Splash from Van Dam and finished with the elbow drop from the top of the cage.

  • BTLS Legitimately Busted Open By Foley On iMPACT! (Picture)

The punch to the face from Mick Foley on Bubba the Love Sponge during last night’s TNA iMPACT where Foley was leaving the building left Bubba’s nose busted open.

Bubba noted on Twitter that Foley misjudged the punch and hit him too hard.

Bubba also said that while he was being treated by EMT’s, Foley came back and apologized to him.

He also posted this picture of himself after the punch .. What do you guys think – work or shoot?

  • TNA iMPACT! Results: March 22, 2010

Report by Sean Hopkins & Wrestling News World:

-Impact opens with Eric Bischoff playing guitar, Spanish style, in the middle of the ring, in a spotlight. Yes, it’s surreal as it sounds.

-Bischoff finishes playing, and the crowd cheers, some people even holding up lighters. Bischoff grabs a mic, and says thank you, that that’s a piece he put together in ’92 when he was running with the bulls in Pamplona. It’s called “What you don’t know about me”. Bischoff is a classically trained musician, and it’s one of the reasons he hates Jarrett. He hates that Jarrett only uses his guitar as a silly prop, or gimmick. Bischoff says maybe Jarrett can play guitar, but he doesn’t think so, so he’s going to call Jarrett out, and ask him to prove whether he can play the guitar, or it’s just a silly prop.

-Jarrett makes his way out to the ring with no music but lots of cheers. Bischoff says he wasn’t sure if Jarrett would have the guts to come out and accept the challenge. He says the fans would love to hear Jarrett play, but Jarrett looks apprehensive. Bischoff says he didn’t think Jarrett had the guts. He says if Jarrett can’t play the guitar, why doesn’t he sing the crowd a tune. Jarrett says if Bischoff thinks he’s going to humiliate him, he’s got another thing coming. Bischoff says Jeff doesn’t have the stones, as bad as he wants to knock him out, he doesn’t have the guts and he can’t get the job done. Bischoff continues to goad Jarrett, daring him to do something. Jarrett grabs the guitar and the crowd goes nuts. He holds it up and it looks like he’s going to hit Bischoff, but he just won’t do it. Jarrett puts down the guitar and leaves the ring. Bischoff says he knew Jarrett couldn’t do it, so the best thing he can do is go home and tell his little girls that he just didn’t have the stones to do what he should have done, and that’s why he’s no longer running the company. Jarrett makes his way back to the ring, grabs the guitar, and wallops Bischoff over the head, laying him out to the delight of the crowd. Jarrett walks to the back, still with the neck of the guitar in his hand, to big “TNA” chants.

-In the back, Foley congratulates Jarrett. Jarrett asks if Foley has any idea how good that felt. Foley says he thinks that he does.

    -Commercial break

-We get a replay of the events before the break, with Jarrett breaking the guitar over Bischoff’s head.

-Bischoff is still rolling around in the ring, finally coming to, and he looks pretty upset. He grabs the mic and says Jarrett and Mick Foley have both crossed the line. He says he could fire either one of them, but he’s not going to give them the satisfaction, instead he’s going to enjoy this. He says if Foley and Jarrett want to play games, tonight Foley and Jarrett will face each other in the middle of the ring, and it doesn’t matter who wins, and who loses, because whoever loses is fired from TNA, and the winner will be Bischoff’s bitch.

-Foley is shown backstage with Jarrett. Jarrett says it’s his fault, but Foley says it’s both their fault. He says they both knew what was at stake when they did what they did, they just got caught up, and it’s become clear to Foley that this is a fight that neither can win.

-Tenay and Taz talk for a bit, shocked that either the majority shareholder, or the TNA founder will be fired, live on Impact.

-We get ready to go into our first match of the night as the Knockout Tag Team Champions, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne make their way to the ring accompanied by Lacy Von Erich.

-Daffney is announced next, and we get a recap of the events of last night where she was beaten by Tara, but in turn stole Tara’s tarantula. Even though Daffney will be tagging with the Beautiful People tonight, they look horrified when she holds up the spider.

-Tara doesn’t wait for her entrance as she’s right down to the ring, but she stops when Daffney teases stomping her tarantula. The Beautiful People and Daffney jump Tara, but Angelina Love, Taylor Wilde and Sarita run out to make the save. This one’s ready to go.

    -Commercial break.

-Love and Sky are in the ring when we come back from break. Love looks to be controlling things, but she tags out to Wilde, who comes in and hits Rayne with a kick to the butt. Rayne tags in Sky, but she eats a neckbreaker from Wilde. Wilde turns in Sarita, and Sky is able to turn things around with a snap mare. Von Erich tags in, but she gets a dropkick and tags right out to Rayne. This one is really hard to follow. Tara is in, and she eats a cheap shot from Daffney from the outside. The faces come in to protest, but it just lets the heels cheat some more. Rayne tries for the pin, but she only gets two. Daffney brings in the tarantula and holds it over Tara, but Tara grabs her by her throat. Daffney is too close to the ropes though, and she tags in Sky, who stomps on Tara for a bit, but fights back with a big slap. A double team from Sky and Daffney is too much, and everything just breaks down with everyone going at it. Love hits a big move on Daffney, but she eats a big DDT from Sky. Sky celebrates, but she gets a Northern lights suplex from Wilde, but it’s broken up by Rayne. Rayne gets a powerbomb from Sarita, and Lacey is in next to give Sarita a powerslam. Tara is in to hit the widow’s peak on Von Erich, and she goes after the tarantula, but she’s caught by Daffney, who hits the lobotomy neckbreaker, and gets the pin and the three count.

Winners: Daffney and The Beautiful People

-After the match, Daffney gloats, holding Tara’s spider over her.

-AJ Styles is shown coming in, in the back, walking with a crutch and his arm in a sling. Flair is being unloaded from the back of an ambulance, and he’s calling for Chelsea.

-Hulk Hogan is being hyped as having a huge announcement regarding TNA Lockdown.

    -Commercial break.

-Flair is wheeling himself into the back with Styles’ belt on his lap, and Hogan’s major announcement is hyped again.

    -Commercial break.

-We get a package showing some of the highlights from last night, it’s kicked off with footage from the AMAZING match between Generation Me and the Motor City Machine Guns, and the World Championship match between Styles and Abyss. Long story short, Abyss chokeslammed AJ through the ring last night, and Earl Hebner was forced to throw out the match, thus allowing AJ Styles to retain the title.

-Hulk Hogan’s music hits, and he makes his way out to the ring, with Abyss in tow.

-Hogan already has a mic in his hand as he climbs in the ring, but he still soaks up the cheers for a bit before talking. Every time Hogan does this, it feels like this is the only reason he came to TNA. Hogan says according to the sound of the fans, Abyss has TNA on fire. Hogan says it got real personal with he and Flair last night. He says Bischoff was right when they talked, and he said that Flair knew each and every button to push with Hogan. He says when they were laying in each other’s blood, it was strictly personal, and the way things went down tonight, Bischoff is starting to learn that this personal thing doesn’t work out. Hogan vows to the fans and Dixie Carter, that he’s going to get the company on the right track, and it’s going to be all business starting at Lockdown. At Lockdown, it will be Abyss captaining Team Hogan, vs. Team Flair. Abyss says he really hopes Flair and AJ stayed at the hotel tonight, because it’s a lot healthier than coming here and crashing through whatever part of the Impact Zone he sees fit. Abyss says thanks to the ring Hogan gave him, he can’t explain the power that was rushing through his body when he picked AJ Styles up over his head and chokeslammed him through the middle of the ring. It was then when he realized he’s not just Abyss, but he’s the 350 pound, pissed off monster Abyss. Abyss says he didn’t win the title last night, but what he won was his respect. It’s a new day in TNA, and at Lockdown, Abyss is going to take care of business for Hogan, and that means at Lockdown, he’s coming to get Flair, and when he does, he won’t need a wheelchair. He’ll need a mortician. Abyss says what’cha gonna do, when Abyss-a-mania runs fatal on you.

-Flair’s music hits, and Chelsea wheels him out to the top of the ramp, with AJ Styles limping behind. Flair says he’s got pissed off eyes, and he tells Hogan St. Louis is in the middle of Flair country, and he’s a cage match specialist. He says Abyss tried to kill he and AJ, but it didn’t work because they aren’t mortals, but wrestling Gods. AJ says he had Abyss beat until Hogan screwed it up, and Abyss tried to cripple AJ and kill him. Flair says to assure victory for team Flair, their team captain will be Sting.

-The lights go out, and Sting’s music hits. When they come back on, Sting is sitting on the top turnbuckle, and AJ is in the ring where he hits Abyss with his crutch, and Hogan is handcuffed to the ring ropes by both hands. AJ continues to pound down on Abyss while Hogan is forced to watch.

-Pope’s music hits, and he’s on his way to the ring where he goes right to work on Styles with a series of right hands. Styles walks into a boot from Hogan, a boot from Abyss, and he eats a DDE from Pope. Pope somehow has the handcuff keys, and he unlocks Hogan. Abyss, Hogan and Flair pose in the middle of the ring, while Flair tries to make it to the back.

-Flair is wheeling his heart out, but Hogan catches him, pushing him up to the top of the ramp, and rolling him back down, right into Abyss who hits a big clothesline that takes him right out of the wheelchair. Abyss comes up the rope, grabs a 20 out of his wad of cash, and stuffs it in Flair’s mouth.

    -Commercial break.

-Jeff Hardy is shown walking in backstage with Shannon Moore and RVD. Hemme comes in and asks what they’re doing. Hardy says they’re going to have fun, but it’s at someone else’s expense. Hardy also points out his new shirt.

-We get a Global Championship match, and Tyson Tomko is already in the ring, just leaving Rob Terry to enter.

-Terry enters and the fight is on right away, with Tomko scoring a couple of big forearms and a slap across the face, but it doesn’t do anything as big Rob comes with back with a huge slam into the corner, and a big falling slam. Rob hits a spinning kick to Tomko’s face, and the crowd is just going wild. Rob picks up Tomko and hits a modified chokeslam, goes for the pin, and this one is over.

Winner and STILL TNA Global Champion: Rob Terry

-Tenay and Taz bring up the match between Foley and Jarrett, again commenting how strange it is how completely their roles have been reversed since the Bischoff regime entered power.

-Foley is shown backstage walking… I guess toward the ring? Jarrett is also shown walking, so their match must be next.

    -Commercial break.

-Beer Money Inc. are shown backstage in referee gear, apparently they will be dual special guest referees for the next match, as per an order from Eric Bischoff.

    -Commercial break.

-JB is backstage with both Foley and Jarrett, following a video package showing their hard trials since the entrance of Hogan and Bischoff into TNA. Foley says over the last few months, he’s talked about leaving TNA, and if it happens, he’s going to do it on his own accord. Over the past few weeks, he was having to kiss Bischoff’s butt, and he’s been thinking about how to get Bischoff out of TNA, and that keeps him going. Jarrett says what keeps him going is TNA pride. They both deserve to be here, and stay here. Foley says they owe it to each other to have a good match, and the only way they do that is by winning. Jarrett says he was on the outs around here for a few months, and Foley put the passion back in him, so not only does he owe it to the fans, and his family, but he owes it to Foley.

-Beer Money Inc.’s music hits, and they make thier way down to the ring for referee duties.

-As Foley makes his way to the ring, this is announced as a NO DQ match. Foley gets a nice reaction from the crowd.

-Jarrett is out next, still without his entrance music, but with his entrance video for some reason. Jarrett still gets a decent reaction from the crowd.

-The bell rings and we’re ready to kick this one off. We get a handshake before both men lock up. We get a clean break after nothing. Another lock up, and Foley back Jarrett up into the corner, breaking clean again. Foley locks in a headlock, and Jarrett fights off, but he walks into a shoulder block. Another lock up, and a headlock from Jarrett this time. Foley fights out, and hits a back elbow that’s good enough for a near fall. Jarrett kicks Foley in the stomach, and surprises Foley with a sunset flip, but it’s only good for two. Foley connects with a backslide, but again it’s only good for two. Foley hits a big right hand to Jarrett’s face, and another. Foley goes for the double arm DDT, but Jarrett counters into the Stroke, Foley fights out of it and pushes Jarrett off, into the ropes. Roode grabs Jarrett’s foot and distracts him, allowing Foley to connect with a cheap shot and send Jarrett to the floor. Foley follows to the outside, where he slams Jarrett into the barricade.

-Eric Bischoff is headed out to the broadcast table.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial and Foley and Jarrett are brawling at the top of the entrance ramp. Jarrett beats Foley back toward the ring, and he hits a snap suplex on the entrance ramp. Roode asks Foley if he quits, but Foley won’t give up. Back in the ring, Jarrett pounds on Foley in the corner for a bit. Jarrett goes for a cover, but he can’t keep Foley down for three. Jarrett hits Foley, and goes for a pin, using the ropes for extra leverage, but he still can’t keep Foley down for three. Jarrett hits a DDT, and goes for another cover but it’s still not enough. Jarrett leaves the ring and grabs a chair, bringing it into the ring, but Foley catches him with a boot before he can use it. Foley hits the double arm DDT and he goes for the pin, but Jarrett gets his foot on the ropes to break the count. Jarrett breaks out Mr. Socko, and he applies the mandible claw to Jarrett, brings Jeff to his knees. Foley locks in what looks to be a cobra clutch/mandible claw combo with a body scissors, but Jarrett is able to fight out of it. Foley grabs the chair, and he charges Jarrett in the corner, but Jarrett gets his feet up, driving the chair into Foley’s face. Jarrett hits the stroke on the chair, rolls up Foley, and gets the three count.

Winner and STILL a member of the TNA roster: Jeff Jarrett

-Jarrett looks despondent in the ring while Bischoff gloats on commentary. Foley puts his arm around Jarrett, and holds up Jeff’s arm. Jarrett returns the favor, lifting Foley’s arm. The two men shake hands and hug, with Bischoff mocking them the entire time.

-Foley begins his walk up to the ramp to the back. Bischoff waves at him, while Foley gets big “Thank you Mick” chants from the crowd. Bischoff says they aren’t quite done yet, and he grabs a mic. He tells BMI to give Double J a taste of their medicine.

-BMI begin to beat down Jarrett. Storm wedges a chair in between the ropes, and Roode sends Jarrett head first into the chair. Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy run down to the ring and Rood and Storm scatter, making their way to the back. RVD asks for a microphone.

-RVD says the the man next to him is Jeff Hardy, and of course he’s Rob Van Dam. He says they’re just looking to have some fun, and they agreed what a blast they could have bouncing BMI around the ring tonight. He asks if they’re in. He says Storm and Roode are obviously looking for action too. Storm and Roode agree to the match, and Bischoff looks pissed.

    -Commercial break.

-We get a recap of the events before the break; the match between Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley that led to Foley being fired from TNA.

-Foley is shown backstage being walked out by security. A lot of the talent, including Pope, Abyss, and most of the face dives, as well as JB say goodbye. Bubba the Love Sponge interrupts Foley and asks how Foley feels. Foldey says if there was a list of people he’d want to talk to, Bubba would be last. Bubba says not to let the door hit him on the way out, and Foley goes nuts, laying Bubba out and saying “Bang Bang”.

-Bischoff walks into the back and tells Hogan what a great night it’s been. Hogan asks why Foley being gone is a good thing. Bischoff pushed him, Foley fights back, and Bischoff punishes him some more, only to fire him. Bischoff admits maybe he should be more patient. Hogan asks Bischoff to please lay off Jarrett. Bischoff says he can do it, and according to him, it’s a whole new day for him and Jeff Jarrett. Bischoff begins to ask if Hogan set up the BMI/RVD and Jeff Hardy match, but stops himself, walking out instead.

-Christy Hemme is backstage with BMI. Roode says they’ve been busy tonight, but that’s how they like it. They had some time off, and they reflected on what was most important to them, and that was to put BMI first. Storm says they don’t care about the stupid people, because they’re the greatest tag team in the world. They might not know now, but they’ll find out soon. Sorry about your damn luck.

-Up next, we get a battle between the current tag team champions as Matt Morgan and Hernandez will be facing each other in singles competition.

    -Commercial break.

-JB is backstage with both Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy. Hardy is painting his face and RVD is taping his fists. Hardy says this might blow your mind, but he knows a thing or two about tag team wrestling. RVD says this isn’t their first shindig, and they know exactly what they’re doing. They’re going to show the entire TNA Universe why they’re special, and it starts with BMI, at the hands of Jeff Hardy, and Mr. Monday Night, Rob Van Dam.

-We get a video package, highlighting the recent problems between Matt Morgan and Hernandez, that culminated last night with Morgan delivering a carbon footprint to Hernandez last night following their match at Destination X.

-Morgan makes his way out to the ring first, with both belts in hand, but Hernandez immediately attacks from behind, and beats Morgan up and down the ramp before tossing him into the ring. The bell rings and this one is official as Hernandez destroys Morgan with a huge shoulder block that sends him to the outside. Hernandez follows and he goes to work with a series of right hands, before slamming Morgan into the barricade, then head first into the steel ring steps. Hernandez backs Morgan into the ring apron, and continues to work him over with forearms before sending him back into the ring. Morgan begs off, asking Hernandez to stop. Morgan is bleeding from his lip. Morgan offers his hand, but Hernandez kicks him in the chest instead. Hernandez wraps his shirt around Morgan’s neck and tosses him across the ring twice. Hernandez waits for Morgan to get up before hitting a big splash in the corner and a one handed spine buster. Hernandez charges Morgan in the corner, but Morgan counters with a back body drop that sends Hernandez over the top to the floor. Hernandez drags Morgan out to the floor, and he tries for a clothesline, but Morgan ducks and Hernandez connects with the ring post. While Hernandez is next to the post, Morgan connects with a carbon footprint to the side of Hernandez’s head, sandwiching it against the ring post. The referee goes to check on Morgan, and he throws up the “X” symbol, but it looks worked. They bring out medics and a stretcher. Homicide is also out, and people in the crowd look extremely upset. Tenay calls for a commercial break.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial and they get Hernandez up onto the stretcher.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial again, and they’re replaying the injury, Hernandez being put on the stretcher, and him being put in the back of the ambulance. Hogan is there and he asks if anyone has called his wife. All this extra publicity toward it makes me think it may be a work.

-Tenay and Taz speculate what it may be, whether it’s a neck injury to a man with a history of neck injuries, or possible brain damage, or something else. Again, not something I feel like they would do, out of respect, if the injury were legitimate.

-We get a video package highlighting the reformation of The Band last night, when Kevin Nash turned on Eric Young to help get Scott Hall and Sean Waltman contracts with TNA.

-BMI’s music hits, and Storm and Roode make their way out to the ring as the first entrants for the main event tonight.

-RVD is out next, as the first half of his team, follows by Jeff Hardy. Both men get very generous reactions from the Impact Zone crowd.

-Hardy and Storm start things out, with Storm immediately going for a couple of right hands to Hardy’s jaw. Storm sends Hardy into the ropes, but he goes to the outside, pulls Roode to the floor, then goes to the apron and back body drops Storm to the outside on top of Roode. Hardy grabs a ladder, and he and RVD prop it up between the ring and the barricade.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial, Tenay says they’ll stay with it to the conclusion, only to immediately go into a commercial.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial again, for real this time, Roode catches RVD in the stomach with a boot, but RVD comes back with a mid kick, and an asai moonsault that’s good for a two count. Roode makes the tag to Storm, who comes in and pokes RVD in the eye, only to walk into a spinning heel kick. Hardy tags in, and he goes right to work with an inverted atomic drop, and his signature low leg drop on Storm. Hardy hits a front suplex, and he goes for the cover but Roode breaks it up. RVD sends Roode to the floor, and Hardy tries for the whisper in the wind, but Roode knocks him down, and BMI use a ref distraction as an excuse to cheat. Roode hits a slow neckbreaker on Hardy, and he goes for the pin but he only gets two. Storm tags in, and BMI both choke Hardy with their boots. Storm locks in a sleeper hold to stop Hardy from tagging in RVD, and he slams him down before tagging in Roode. Roode goads Van Dam into distracting the referee so he uses the opportunity to choke Hardy. Roode locks in a sleeper, but Hardy is able to fight out with a jawbreaker. Hardy walks right into a high angle spinebuster from Roode that’s good for a two count. Storm tags in and kicks away at Hardy, before locking in another sleeper. Hardy fights out again, and both men go for the cross body, connecting. Both men are down. Hardy gets the tag, but the ref is distracted by BMI, who get away with an illegal tag in the process themselves. Storm tags back in and hits a right to Hardy’s ribs. Storm tries for the eye of the Storm, but Hardy fights out and connects with the whisper in the wind out of nowhere. Hardy is able to make the tag, and so is Storm, but it doesn’t matter because RVD comes in as a house of fire, going to work on both Roode and Storm, monkey flipping Roode over before connecting with the single leg dropkick from the top. RVD goes for the pin, but Storm is able to break it up. RVD retaliates, slamming Storm, and hitting the split legged moonsault in the corner. RVD turns right around into the big clothesline from Roode. Hardy is in, but a double team suplex from BMI takes him down. RVD tries to fight off both men, but BMI return with a catapult DDT, but it’s only good enough to keep Van Dam down for two. Hardy comes in out of nowhere with a twist of fate on Roode, but Storm pulls him to the outside. Hardy slides under the ladder and slides it into Storm’s face. In the ring, RVD hits rolling thunder on Roode. Hardy hits a swanton, RVD hits the 5 star frog splash, and RVD makes the pin, scoring the three count.

    Winners: RVD and Jeff Hardy

-Hardy and RVD celebrate, but from out of nowhere Eric Young rolls into the ring. Young says he’s going to keep this short and sweet. He’s just talked to Hogan and TNA management, and there’s going to be a 6-man tag next week. It’s going to be Hall, Waltman, and Nash against Eric Young, Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam.

-Young, Hardy and RVD pose with their hands held high, before posing on the ropes, and holding their hands high again to end the show.

  • Who’s Backstage At Impact?, Hall & Nash Comment On Reunion

    — Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Sting and Mick Foley are backstage at iMPACT! and advertised to appear during tonight’s show. All four superstars were left off last night’s Destination X pay-per-view. It’s worth noting that in the company website’s preview for tonight’s show, they weren’t initially advertised to appear. However, their names have since been listed.

    — Last night’s pay-per-view saw a reunion of the Wolfpack as Kevin Nash turned on Eric Young to help Scott Hall and Syxx-Pac pick up the victory, thus giving them contracts with the company. Both Hall and Nash commented on their reunion.

Nash wrote on Twitter: “Wolfpac is back! very proud of Scott. last night will be etched in my memory forever. dont forget to watch impact 9-11 on spike. I’ll be watching 2nite. worth watching just 2 see how good Scott looked at ppv if u missed it.”

Hall wrote on Facebook: “And THE BAND IS BACK TOGETHER….did you really expect anything else? Don’t blink…who knows what will happen next…”

Apparently, WWE doesn’t own the term Wolfpac when they purchased WCW intellectual property, thus meaning TNA is free to use it.

    — The TV Guide preview for tonight’s iMPACT! is as follows: “Fallout from the Destination X pay-per-view event, including AJ Styles’ title defense.”

    source: www.f4wonline.com

  • Carter Comments On Whether There Will Be An Impact Replay

    — Dixie Carter announced on her Twitter account that there will not be a replay of tonight's episode of iMPACT! on Spike. She wrote: “Ok, Im serious this time,” Carter wrote. “There will be no replay of Impact this (week). No really. Don’t laugh. Tonight on Spike is only time to catch it.”

Rambo is currently scheduled to air during TNA’s former time slot.

    — As seen last night at Destination X, Scott Hall and Syxx-Pac faced Kevin Nash and Eric Young in a tag team match with their future in TNA on the line. Ultimately, Nash turned on Young and helped “The Band” pick up the victory, which gave them contracts with the company. Both Hall and Waltman have since been added to TNA’s roster page.

    — Jesse Godderz of Big Brother attended last night’s Destination X pay-per-view.

  • RVD Comments On TNA Not Using Him At Destination X

TNA star Rob Van Dam posted the following message on his official website over the weekend .. Van Dam says he showed up to the airport on Saturday to fly to Orlando assuming he was booked for last night’s TNA Destination X pay-per-view:

Well, it sure is nice to hear people on the streets telling me they’re glad I’m back. For almost three years I’ve heard how much they “need” me back. Tonight when I go through the airport I’ll most likely hear “Dude, I’m so glad you’re back” and I’ll smile, thinking of these words that you and I have shared. It’s almost like we have an inside joke. Isn’t that special?

I guess I was a little too anxious to hear those words last night, as I was told at the airport that I was 24 hours early!

My bad. Thought I was booked or something.

I actually had several reasons to think I was expected at a pay per view from conversations earlier in the week, and the schedule they gave me, but it all boils down to me not paying attention. I simply didn’t know what the date was yesterday or I would’ve known I misunderstood plans. That’s what happens when you don’t worry about anything, and are so care free you don’t plan ahead.

Sometimes it bites you in the ass!

  • TNA Destination X PPV Results (3/22)

TNA Against All Odds Results – 3/21/2009
    Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida
Report by: Sean Hopkins of WrestlingNewsWorld.com

We get the usual video package to open the show. This video package is odd though, in that it is still very Hogan-centric, and the X Division stars aren’t featured right off the bat, which is especially odd when you consider this PPV is built around the X Division. Eventually, they bring the X Division into it, hyping the return of the Ultimate X match, and the Ladder match for the #1 Contendership for the TNA X Division Championship. The TNA Championship match between Abyss and AJ is also hyped, but almost like an afterthought.

The pyro hits, and Teney and Taz welcome us to the show, immediately hyping the X Division and the TNA Championship match. Bryan Kendrick’s music hits, and it looks like the ladder match will kick things off.

Amazing Red vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Kaz vs. Daniels
    Ladder Match

Amazing Red is out next to a good reaction from the crowd. Daniels is third, to a bit of a lukewarm reception, and finally Kaz is out to a warm welcome. Things start off right away with Daniels jumping Kaz, but falling victim to a double team from Red and Kaz. Red hits a baseball slide on Kendrick to the outside, and Kaz sends Daniels over the ropes with a clothesline. Red is back in the ring, and he jumps outside with a corkscrew plancha to take out Daniels and Kaz. Kendrick runs and grabs a ladder, bringing it into the ring under the contract, but Kaz breaks it up. Daniels tries for the contract, but Red brings him down and goes for it himself. Daniels brings Red down, only to end up being beaton on, and having the ladder dropkicked in his face by Red. Red and Kendrick both try to go for the contract at the same time, but both men end up falling off the ladder and into the corner, where Kendrick hits a stiff kick to Red’s face.

Kendrick brings Kaz into the ring with a slingshot that puts him right on the ladder. Kendrick turns his attention to Daniels, but he walks into an STO from Daniels. Daniels puts the ladder around his neck and he twirls, taking out everyone in his path. Daniels is sent to the outside and Kendrick and Red square off for a bit, with Kendrick sending Red to the outside. Kendrick props a ladder up between the ring apron and the barricade, but it backfires when Kaz hits a front suplex onto the ladder on Kendrick. Kaz goes up to the apron, but Daniels drags his neck across the rope and Kaz falls back on the ladder. Daniels hits a split leg moonsault to the outside on top of Kaz who is still on the ladder. Daniels stands on the ladder, and Red jumps to the top rope and hits a hurricarana, sending Daniels to the floor. Red pulls the ladder back in the ring, and he and Kaz both go for the contract at the same time. Kendrick tries to break it up, but he gets shoved off. Kaz teases the flux capaciter, but Kendrick pushes the ladder over and takes out both Kaz and Red. Kendrick sets the ladder up, but immediately eats a boot from Daniels. Daniels shoves Kaz face first into the ladder, but when he tries to hit Kaz with the ladder, he misses, and Kaz hits a slingshot legdrop to plant Daniels’ face in the ladder. Kaz props Daniels on the ladder in the corner, but when he turns his attention to Kendrick, he gets a kick to the face for his troubles. Kendrick tries to bring another ladder in, but Kaz stomps it down on his fingers. Kaz tries to hit Red with the ladder, but Red dropkicks Kaz instead, knocking the ladder into Kaz’s face. Daniels takes out Red with a huge dropkick and wedges a ladder in the corner before slamming Red on top of it.

Daniels tries to suplex Kaz into the ladder, but Kendrick breaks it up, hitting Kaz from behind with another ladder. Kaz ends up being backdropped on the ladder by Daniels, but he quickly eats an enzugiri from Kendrick. Kendrick sets up the ladder and tries for it, but Daniels is there to break it up, and toss him into the ladder that’s still wedged in the corner. Daniels goes up the ladder, but Kaz hits him with a couple of kicks and grabs him, powerbombing him into the ladder still wedged in the corner. Kaz tries to go up the ladder but he’s stopped by Kendrick, they both go up opposite sides, and Kendrick takes Kaz off with a big face buster. Red stops Kendrick going up the ladder, but he ends up being back body dropped to the floor by Kendrick. Kaz beats on Kendrick for a bit in the corner, but when he charges him, he eats a boot. Kaz comes back with a reverse Russian leg sweep to put down Kendrick. Kaz brings Red into the ring with a slingshot into a cutter, but he falls victim to a sliced bread #2. Kendrick gets a DVD from Daniels. Red brings another ladder into the ring, and there’s two ladders set up side by side. Red and Daniels go up both ladders, on the same side, and Daniels hits a urunage from the top of the ladder. Daniels traps Red and Kendrick in the rungs of the ladder, but it doesn’t last long. Kaz jumps in from out of nowhere and knocks Kendrick off the ladder. Kaz ties himself up in the ladder, and suplexes Daniels off without falling off. Kendrick is there and he almost grabs the contract, but he falls off. Kaz grabs the contract, and is able to pull it down.

Winner and NEW #1 Contender to the X Division Championship: Kaz

Mike Tenay and Taz are discussing the history between Abyss and AJ Styles, when they’re interrupted by Ric Flair who comes out in a wheelchair, pushed by Desmond Wolfe’s valet to the entrance ramp. Flair says he’s not happy, and tells the fans they should bow down to him, not ‘woo’ him. Flair says he’s the greatest World Champion of all time, and look at him now, it’s not funny. He’s fallen off of cages, ladder, through tables, and he’s crashed in an airplane, but he’s never been in a wheelchair. Flair says he did not come to TNA to be immobilized, he came for action, and right now he’s not getting a lot. Flair says the people that are responsible for this are Hogan and Abyss, and tonight they pay the price for doing this to the Nature Boy. Flair has Chelsea take him to the back, telling the fans to respect him.

Hogan is backstage with Abyss, he talks some gibberish about how Abyss is a good wrestler and has lots of fans. Abyss says when he put Flair through the entrance ramp, he felt an energy he’s never had, and he wants more. Hogan says not to be afraid to use the ring, and that the gold around his finger will lead to gold around his waist. RIDICULOUS!

On his way out, Abyss runs into Bischoff, who’s wearing a baseball hat. Abyss cracks a joke and Hogan laughs. Bishcoff says it’s not funny. Hogan says they need to get back to the basics of TNA. Bischoff says his issues with Foley and Jarrett will be resolved this week. Bischoff leaves, and Hogan laughs, saying Bischoff has a ‘Hulk Hogan’ haircut.

    Tara (c) vs. Daffney

Daffney’s music hits, and she’s out to the ring first for the first title match of the night. Tara is out next, with her always present tarantula, and she gets a nice reaction from the crowd. She puts down her belt and spider, and her and Daffney square off right away. Tara ducks a clothesline and hits a shoulderblock and a body slam to put Daffney down. Tara hits a standing moonsault that’s good for a two count. Tara hits a big chop to Daffney’s chest, but she winds up being slammed into the bottom turnbuckle face first. Daffney goes to the top and slams her boots into Tara’s back, stomping up and down. Daffney goes for the pin, but only gets two. Daffney hits a body slam, and follows it up by stepping on Tara’s face and twisting her foot.

Daffney beats on Tara in the corner, but when she charges her in the corner, she walks into the tarantula. Daffney hits a series of hair assisted snap mares to Tara, but it’s not enough to put Tara down for three. Daffney locks in an innovatice submission, locking up Tara’s arms and rocking her legs in figure four position over her head. It’s complicated and hard to explain. Tara is able to fight out with one of her arms, and eventually her legs, breaking the hold and swinging her elbows to continues to hurt Daffney. Tara hits an enzugiri, and a series of big right hands before hitting a big spinebuster that only keeps Daffney down for two. Christy Hemme is standing backstage with Magnus, who’s apparently only going by one name these days. He says he’s about to pop Rob Terry’s over inflated ego. He brought him into TNA to be a gopher. He says tonight, he’s going to kill the monster he’s created.

Rob Terry (c) vs. Brutus Magnus
    TNA Global Championship Match

Magnus is out first to a bit of an apathetic reaction. Terry really doesn’t get much better of a reaction himself. Things start out right away as Terry comes in and goes right to work on Magnus, sending him to the outside with a clothesline over the top. Magnus hits a poke to the eye, and he’s able to score a couple of right hands, and a European uppercut. Magnus tries for a crossbody, but Terry catches him, and powers him down with a big slam. Magnus slaps Terry across the face, but he walks right into a spin kick and a big spinebuster that’s good for a three count. This one is over as soon as it begins.

Winner and STILL TNA Global Champion: Rob Terry

Apparently Ultimate X is up next, so they need to kill time, and a music video showing past highlights is shown.

Christy Hemme is backstage with the MCMG’s. Sabin says Generation Me has more balls than brains, because they aren’t able to compete on their level. They’re children compared to the MCMG’s. Shelley says people have been saying they have an attitude, but anyone would because they’re the best tag team in the world, but they don’t get to show their potential. They’ve been in TNA longer than Gen Me has had their Hardy Boyz starter kit, and tonight they’re going to prove they’re better, by fulfilling their destiny and winning Ultimate X.

Generation Me vs. The Motor City Machine Guns
Ultimate X Match for the #1 Contendership of the TNA Tag Team Championship

The structure seems to be finally set up, but Taz and Tenay are still talking about how the Guns have a total lack of respect for Gen Me. Finally, it’s time for the match, as Generation Me’s music hits, and Max and Jeremy (cough Nick and Matt) hit the ring. The Guns are out next to a much more energetic reaction from the crowd. This is the 13th Ultimate X and 4th for Sabin and Shelley respectively, that’s absolutely insane. Things start off right away with some crazy, crazy double teams that has tons of reversals and ends with a double clothesline from Gen Me to the Guns. Gen Me hit an elevated double team dropkick and sandwich low dropkicks to Shelley. When they go for the X though, Shelley is able to stop it, and Sabin sends Max to the outside. the Guns double team Jeremy, hitting their crazy chancery/dropkick combo, and Shelley locks in a simeltaneous leglock on Jeremy and abdominal stretch on Max. The Guns hit a crazy move from the ring apron to the outside on Max. This one is hard to follow, it’s moving lightning fast.

Jeremy is able to climb up on the structure, but he’s brought down by the Guns who hit stereo round kicks to Jeremy Buck. The Guns picks up Jeremy and work him over in the corner, but they both charge into a big boot from Jeremy and then walk into a double dropkick from Max. Gen Me hit a crazy double team, with a double dropkick from Max, and a spinning plancha from Jeremy to both Guns. Max goes up on the structure, climbing the ropes and dodging a springboarding Sabin, but Shelley pulls him down. Max hits a spear on Shelley, but he gets a big kick from Sabin. Jeremy hits a moonsault to the outside on top of Shelley. Jeremy climbs the structure, climbing his way across the ring while Max stands guard. Max is distracted though, and he eats a kick from Sabin, and ends up being a stepping stool for Sabin to hit a big spear on Jeremy, taking him off the structure and down to the mat. Max is up and he’s going right to the structure, Sabin jumps up to the top, but Max is able to fight him off. Max goes off, but the Guns use an insane double team to bring him down. Gen Me is able to fight back a bit and now all four men are down.

All four men are up at about the same time, and all in different corners. Max is the first on the ropes, followed by Shelley. Jeremy and then Sabin are up and everyone is in the middle. Everyone starts kicking at eachother and everyone eventually falls. Series of superkicks from the Bucks, and a running powerbomb into the corner, on Shelley into Jeremy’s knees. Jeremy flies out of the ring on top of Sabin. Generation Me go for More Bang for you Buck, but it’s countered, and Shelley hangs Max up into the corner, and suplexes Jeremy into Max. The Guns hit their double team sliced bread #2 on Max, and Sabin goes right up to the top. Jeremy is also there, going to the top and he and Sabin fight it out in the middle. Sabin is able to knock Jeremy to the mat, and he grabs the X, winning the match for his team, and falling to the canvas.

Doug Williams (c) vs. Shannon Moore
    TNA X Division Championship Match

Shannon Moore is out first, to a big pop in all of his goth glory. Williams is out next, and unfortunately his technical expertise doesn’t get him quite as warm of a reaction. Winner and STILL X Division Champion: Doug Williams

Williams grabs the mic and asks what makes Moore think he even deserved a shot at his belt. Williams is what the X Division should be, hold for hold, catch as catch can style wrestling. Williams says acrobats and high fliers belong in the circus with clowns, and that’s what Shannon Moore is. Williams says he’ll help Moore with his makeup, and he goes to the outside, where he grabs a woman’s purse (obviously a plant). Williams uses lipstick to paint Moore’s face for a bit, before simply heading to the back.

    TNA Championship Match

We get a video package that showcases the events leading up to this match, also spending quite a bit of time focusing on both Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Abyss is out to the ring first, to lots of love from the Impact Zone, and some kind of weird hybrid of his song, and Hogan’s American Made theme.

Styles is out second, still to a fairly nice reaction. It’s interesting to note neither man has their ‘mentor’ out with them.I guess I spoke too soon as Wolfe’s valet wheels Flair out about 3/4 of the way down the entrance ramp. Abyss even does the who ‘YOU’ thing, before he fights back, hitting a big boot, and a huge chokeslam that sends AJ through the middle of the ring. Hebner calls for the bell, and it looks like this one is going to be thrown out.

Hulk Hogan grabs the TNA World Championship and he gives it to Abyss, but Hebner grabs it away. Flair is being rolled back down to the ring and he’s livid. Flair flops into the ring, and Abyss picks him up. Chelsea has the spray, but Hogan grabs it, using it to spray in Flair’s face.
