Drew McIntyre Reacts To Tom Brady Making Hulk Hogan Entrance

Drew McIntyre is seemingly not a fan of NFL legend Tom Brady, who recently walked out to the music of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.

Ahead of the inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC convention, Tom Brady made an appearance at the venue when WWE was setting up for the event. Brady had a fun time as a video clip on social media depicts he’s walking out to Hulk Hogan’s entrance song, ‘Real American’. However, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ wasn’t impressed. Check out his response below:

Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and he is also an ardent WWE fan. He certainly proved it when he walked out to the music of ‘The Hulkster.’ Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre is coming off a victory over CM Punk at SummerSlam. However, ‘The Second City Savior’ is not done with his rival and he recently belted McIntyre.

The inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC convention, the first-ever ‘immersive sports festival’ brings together the biggest stars from WWE and the some of top pro sports leagues across the world, including the NFL, MLB, UFC, NHL and more. WWE is also one of Fanatics’ strongest brand partners.

It has been announced that WWE Superstars and Legends will participate in Photo Opportunity sessions, Autograph Sessions, stage shows, and live podcasts. The event will take place from August 16 to August 18 at the Javitz Center in New York City.

  • GUNTHER: ‘Randy Orton Is Great, Despite Wasting A Lot of Potential’

GUNTHER: ‘Randy Orton Is Great, Despite Wasting A Lot of Potential’

WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER has delivered some choice words for Randy Orton ahead of their collision in Berlin, Germany. Speaking to Jim Varsalone, GUNTHER spoke about the 14-time WWE World Champion and his wasted potential.

“Randy’s career is undeniable. But on the other hand, we’ve got to be honest here, he was destined to be the greatest of all time, and with all the bad decisions he made in his career and all the issues he had he still is one of the greatest. But he wasted a lot of potential and I’m not in the business of wasting potential.”

GUNTHER didn’t stop there, adding that he has exceeded expectations, while he believes the opposite is true of WWE’s Apex Predator. The two will collide at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31. The match will be GUNTHER’s first PLE title defense as World Heavyweight Champion while Orton hopes to break an unfortunate 40-month streak at PLEs.

    Randy Orton’s Bad Decisions

While he has mellowed out considerably in recent years, Orton did make plenty of bad decisions early into his wrestling career. Orton reportedly pushed Amy Weber over during a flight, after she took some ibuprofen from the men’s locker-room when dealing with an injury. This incident, among others, would result in Weber leaving WWE in 2005.

Weber is not the only woman to have spoken up about Orton’s conduct. Maria Kanellis-Bennett claimed during her shoot interview with Kayfabe Commentaries that Orton shot fireworks from his car at the vehicle containing Maria and others. It has been claimed online for years that Orton defecated in the bag of former WWE Diva Rochelle Loewen, though she has since clarified that he defaced her bag with tanning lotion and baby oil, seemingly payback for Loewen not knowing who he was when she joined WWE.

The Viper’s off-screen outbursts would result in him being sent to an anger management course in Atlanta in 2006. Despite the four-week course, Orton was sent home from a European tour a year later after causing $50,000 worth of damage to a hotel room.

Orton has faced multiple Wellness Policy suspensions, though was brought back early from a suspension in 2006 so he could feud with Kurt Angle. In August 2007, Orton was named among eleven Superstars caught up in the Signature Pharmacy scandal who had purchased performance-enhancing drugs. The Legend Killer was not suspended and would capture the WWE Championship on two occasions mere months later.

On a December 2023 edition of the ImPaulsive podcast, Orton said he was an “a**hole” during the formative years of his career, saying that his poor behavior was “armor” as he wanted others to respect him. Orton added on the podcast that he was given second, third, and fourth chances by Vince McMahon.

  • John Cena’s New Movie Jackpot! Now Streaming on Prime Video

John Cena’s New Movie Jackpot! Now Streaming on Prime Video

John Cena’s newest movie, Jackpot!, has been released and is now streaming on Prime Video. This marks the second project Cena has been involved in this year regarding the streaming service.

Here is a quick summary of the film provided by Amazon Prime Video.

“In the near future, a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been newly established in California – the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket,” said the streaming service.

The unfortunate hunt of Awkwafina’s character leads to Cena as Noel Cassidy coming to her aid to protect her. Both must work together to survive until sundown to take home her prize. In addition, Marvel’s Shang Chi actor Simu Liu plays Louis Lewis, a rival to Cassidy who wants to murder Kim to take her earnings.

Jackpot! is directed by Paul Feig and written by Rob Yescombe. Feig is known for his directorial work on Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters (a 2016 film), and A Simple Favor.

Cena has been making the media rounds to get fans excited about his new Amazon project. He’s also getting the wrestling community anxious about his return to WWE for his retirement tour next year.

    John Cena Preparing For Retirement

Cena shared at the Money In The Bank on July 6 that he wants to finish his wrestling career at the end of 2025. He plans to appear and compete for WWE throughout the year, including WrestleMania 41 in April. The surprise announcement has led to several wrestlers like WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker and Matt Cardona admitting with SEScoops that they want to face Cena before he calls it quits.

Despite the final year of his wrestling career approaching, the wrestler-turned-actor is having a successful transition to Hollywood and will be a WWE Ambassador in 2026. The future for Cena is very bright as he closes a chapter in his life.

I’ll react to Cena’s latest film in the coming days, so check back to SEScoops for an exclusive review.

  • Beth Phoenix On One More Match, Glamarella & Rhea Ripley

Beth Phoenix On One More Match, Glamarella & Rhea Ripley

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix recently sat down with the Insight podcast to discuss a variety of topics from her wrestling career. The Glamazon is a former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion and became WWE’s youngest Hall of Famer in 2017.

    On One More Match

The Glamazon hasn’t competed for WWE since February 2023 where she teamed with her husband Edge to defeat Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley. On the podcast, Beth admitted that she doesn’t know whether another match will happen. The Glamazon added that it was difficult in 2012 to say she was ‘retired’ but knew at the time that being a WWE Diva and starting a family would’ve been a struggle.

“I give the age-old cliche answer that everybody hates, never say never. But it really just depends on the opportunities and what suits our family, that’s really it.”

    On Becoming A Wrestler

Like many, Phoenix was a wrestling fan before stepping in the ring herself. Fans who have admired the Glamazon in the ring have two legendary Canadians to thank for inspiring the Hall of Faner.

“It was WrestleMania 10 seeing Bret versus Owen where I was like, I was just so stunned by the performance and the emotional aspect. It felt so real… whatever magic they created in the ring together was a lightbulb moment for me.”

    On Breaking Her Jaw

Beth Phoenix made her WWE main roster debut in 2006 though her arrival did not go well. During her debut match on RAW against Victoria, Beth suffered a broken jaw that derailed all plans for her. This was a “worst-case scenario” for the Glamazon who felt her world “crumble” around her. Phoenix’s treatment included two days in hospital in which she reflected on how things had gone horribly wrong.

“I’ve ruined everything, I’ve sacrificed everything at that time, I really hadn’t had a chance to start making any money. I put my family second, everything my whole life, I had put all my eggs in the basket of wrestling and it blew up right in front of me.”

Victoria, Phoenix adds, felt horrible, though Beth blames herself for having her mouth slightly open when she took a move. After suffering the injury in June 2006, Beth would only return to the main roster in July of the following year.

    On Glamarella

After returning as a heel and capturing the WWE Women’s Champion, Beth, an unrelenting powerhouse, formed an odd-couple duo with the comedic Santino Marella. The pair won the Women’s and Intercontinental Championships at SummerSlam 2008 and were known as ‘Glamarella’ a nod to Hollywood couples like Brangelina. On the podcast, Beth shared that she was the one to pitch the angle after watching Norbit.

“I wrote up a one-page pitch, and I walked into Vince’s office and I said, Vince, I have this idea. I didn’t even tell Santino…  It was super special. I think I was very good at being the straight man and he was very good at just doing everything he could in his power to make me crack.”

Phoenix named Glamarella, teaming with Natalya, and her appearances in the Royal Rumble matches as her favorite memories in WWE.

On Being in the 2010 Men’s Royal Rumble

In 2010, eight years before the women of WWE had a Royal Rumble of their own, Phoenix entered the Men’s Rumble. The act made Beth the second woman to enter a Rumble (following in the footsteps of Chyna.) On the podcast, Beth reflected on how it felt to follow the Ninth Wonder of the World.

“Glamazon was pretty much Chyna 2.0… to be the successor to her in that particular moment was just mind-blowing because it was very sentimental to me and special to me because of her.”

Beth kept her Royal Rumble role a secret for six weeks after being approached by Dean Malenko over the idea. The Glamazon said that if she had told anyone, she’s sure the idea would’ve been scrapped.

    On Rhea Ripley

Before leaving for AEW in 2023, one of Edge’s final WWE programs saw himself and Phoenix take on The Judgment Day. The Glamazon was more than happy to be involved in the angle, not just because she got to work with her husband, but because she was able to watch the development of Rhea Ripley.

“I was super excited because I’d watched Rhea come up. I was just super excited, even if that was all we did. I just wanted the opportunity to kind of get in there with her and get to be face-to-face.”

  • Raquel Rodriguez Gives MCAS Update Six Months After Latest WWE Match

Raquel Rodriguez Gives MCAS Update Six Months After Latest WWE Match

WWE Superstar Raquel Rodriguez has given an update on her health, months after her most recent appearance in the ring. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Raquel shared that she was getting some work done to make sure she was okay.

“Hey guys we are in Therma, Florida today at the Alliance Regenerative Center. We are getting some bloodwork done, just to make sure everything is still functioning good, hormones, thyroid, a full panel.”

Rodriguez shared some positive news about her condition, adding that she’s not felt as good as she currently does in quite some time.

“So, Alliance Regenerative is actually partnering up with RejuvStem down in Mexico for cellular therapy, something that I have did to help my skin, and guys, I am being honest with you, my skin has not looked and felt this great in months.”

Rodriguez has been dealing with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) a condition in which the patient experiences repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis, such as allergies. These episodes may include hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, and severe diarrhea. High levels of mast cell mediators are released during those episodes.

Due to her battle with MCAS, the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion has been out of action since February, with her most recent match seeing her defeat Chelsea Green. Last month, it was reported that Rodriguez could be back on the active roster soon, but that has yet to happen. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on Raquel Rodriguez and her work towards a return to the ring.

  • John Cena Plans To Serve As WWE Ambassador After Retirement

John Cena Plans To Serve As WWE Ambassador After Retirement

WWE icon and Hollywood box office heavyweight John Cena has plans for his career after he officially retires from WWE active competition in December 2025. Cena has wrestled for WWE since his debut in 2002 in a match against Kurt Angle. While he still looks in great shape and has competed sporadically for the company in recent years, he does not want fans thinking he’ll come out of retirement after his final match. Cena appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week (August 13) and said:

“I know sometimes retirement in wrestling are liquid. They happen, and they renege on that. I am 100% done. December 2025 is the last time I will perform in a ring, said Cena.

    John Cena: WWE Ambassador

Cena plans to be part of the WWE family for years to come, and feels that he can continue contributing by serving as a Brand Ambassador for the world’s premiere sports entertainment company.

“I’ll still be part of the WWE family as an Ambassador, but the time has come to close the physical performing chapter of my life, and I’m at peace with it, which is why 2025 is going to be awesome. It’s going to be fun. It’s not going to be sad, but that’s it.”

    – John Cena on Jimmy Kimmel Live

When Cena becomes a WWE Ambassador, he’ll join the likes of other legends like The Undertaker and Lex Luger, who represent the promotion outside the ring. The company would have the accomplished film superstar make special appearances for various promotional events. Cena’s new role will continue to allow him to take on acting roles while being a representative for WWE when needed.

The former 13-time WWE Champion has already shown he can be a great ambassador from his involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and media appearances throughout his career. Another example of his dedication to being a great spokesperson is how much he cares for the WWE fanbase. An old video has resurfaced online regarding Cena’s signing 3,000 photos in the lead-up to WrestleMania 26 in 2010, showing his commitment.

Cena’s new role in WWE would be an excellent way for him to stay connected with the company and continue his journey of becoming a successful box-office attraction in his acting career. Next year will mark the end of Cena’s accomplished wrestling career, but his comments on the Jimmy Kimmel Show show that he still wants to be involved with WWE’s future.

  • CM Punk Makes Surprise Appearance At Rancid Concert in Chicago

CM Punk Makes Surprise Appearance At Rancid Concert in Chicago

WWE Superstar CM Punk has taken a break from beefing with Drew McIntyre to appear at a Rancid concert in his native Chicago. As seen in footage shared online, Punk embraces the band, consisting of Tim Armstrong, Matt Freeman, Lars Frederiksen, and Branden Steineckert, and poses with Armstrong.

The show was just the latest stop of the band’s ongoing tour of North America which will see Rancid perform in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Atlanta in the coming days. As for Punk, his future could be in Germany, as it has been reported that a rematch with Drew McIntyre could happen at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31.

    Wrestlers Outside of the Ring

Punk’s involvement at the Rancid concert is hardly the only wrestler to make waves at a gig recently. Over in AEW, Darby Allin (Punk’s first All-Elite) opponent, was launched into the crowd during a concert from Brody King’s band God’s Hate.

In June, WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan showed her skills outside the ring when she threw the opening pitch at a Boston Red Sox game. Last week, Randy Orton also threw out a first pitch, this time at a game for his local St. Louis Cardinals. Clearly, WWE Superstars have appeal outside of the squared circle, and appearances in other forms of entertainment have proven especially popular. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on CM Punk, both in and out of the ring.

  • John Cena: ‘I’ve Been Preparing For My Retirement For A Long Time’

John Cena: ‘I’ve Been Preparing For My Retirement For A Long Time’

John Cena’s announcement of his in-ring retirement may have only come recently, but it’s something that the WWE icon has been working on for some time. Speaking to Denise Salcedo at the premiere of his new movie Jackpot, Cena addressed his impending exit from the squared circle.

“It’s something I’ve been preparing for, for a long time. If you backtrack interviews, I started talking about that in maybe 2019 so I’m ready for it and I think now is the perfect time to do it.”

Cena went on to share his appreciation to WWE who have been “awesome” working around his schedule. While some will be sad to see the 16-time WWE World Champion step away from the ring, John himself is feeling immensely positive about what’s to come.

“I feel great. It’s a happy thing. I’m not going to tell anyone how to feel because I don’t believe in that but I am going to approach it with an upbeat attitude.”

    John Cena’s Retirement Tour

As one of the biggest names in wrestling history, it’s hardly a surprise that several wrestlers have put themselves forward for Cena’s farewell tour. CM Punk hopes to team with John before the latter calls it a career while The Miz is hoping to get one last match with Cena after previously headlining WrestleMania 27 in 2011.

New WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker is ready to defend his title against Cena next year. The title in question is one of the few accolades John has not obtained in WWE and the only title Cena needs to complete the Grand Slam. Talent outside of WWE are also interested with Matt Cardona wanting a match while WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is hoping for a One Night Stand 2006 rematch with Big Match John.

Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on John Cena and his final year in the ring.

Oba Femi Issues Another Open Challenge After Successful Title Defense

NXT North American Champion Oba Femi has yet again put the NXT and main roster locker room on notice. He has issued an open challenge after Otis failed to dethrone him.

On the latest edition of NXT, Oba Femi held an Open Challenge for the NXT North American Championship. Alpha Academy member Otis had answered his challenge. However, he couldn’t get the job done. WWE dropped a video on social media in which Femi boasted his successful title defense against Otis and feels nobody can dethrone him. He said:

“Another successful title defense. With all due respect to Otis, he couldn’t get the job done tonight. I challenge anyone from NXT and anyone from the main roster to come here and give me a challenge. Because if Otis couldn’t do it, I don’t think anyone can.”

Oba Femi was in attendance On this week’s Raw and he had a stare down with Otis. Soon, the Alpha Academy member accepted Femi’s open challenge. Otis pushed Femi to his limits early on in the match. However, the champ managed to turn the table soon. In the final moments of the match, Femi hit a devastating powerbomb on Otis and secured a pinfall victory.

Oba Femi has been a dominant champion. After winning NXT Breakout tournament, he cashed in his contract on Dragon Lee earlier this year. Since then he has been defending his title against open challenges. He has defended his NXT North American title against the likes of Dragon Lee, Brooks Jensen, Lexis King and Duke Hudson. With the win against Otis, the Nigerian powerhouse has extended his winning streak.

  • WWE’s Latest Trademarks Give Hint At Promotion’s Future Plans

WWE’s Latest Trademarks Give Hint At Promotion’s Future Plans

A series of trademarks filed by WWE has given wrestling fans a hint at what the promotion may have planned in the coming weeks and months. Over the past week, WWE has filed trademarks for ‘The Wyatt Sicks,’ ‘The Pure Fusion Collective,’ ‘Pure Fusion’ and ‘Fatal Influence.’ The terms have been filed for the use in entertainment services and broadcast media.

    The Wyatt Sicks

WWE has already been using the term The Wyatt Sicks for some time now as the Uncle Howdy-led faction has proven to be a force to be reckoned with so far. The group recently made its in-ring debut with a win over the Creed Brothers and Chad Gable. The Olympian was ‘killed’ by the faction during its arrival in June and has been at odds with the group ever since. Outside of WWE, The Wyatt Sicks has also been targeting The Pat McAfee Show.

    The Pure Fusion Collective

The Pure Fusion Collective is the name of the new faction consisting of Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark. So far, the group has feuded with Damage CTRL and an attack on Dakota Kai has written her off TV. The Kiwi Superstar is dealing with a torn meniscus and could miss up to ten weeks of action.

    Fatal Influence

So far, WWE has not used the term Fatal Influence on TV, leaving fans to speculate if it is a new faction, an event name, or something else entirely. The name does highlight WWE’s new era contrasting with its previous administration under Vince McMahon. The former WWE CEO reportedly had strict rules against certain words, including anything that made reference to killing or a loss of life.

  • Dominik Mysterio On How Netflix Move Will Affect WWE Programming

Dominik Mysterio On How Netflix Move Will Affect WWE Programming

Dominik Mysterio is excited to see what boundaries they can push with the move to Netflix.

WWE Raw is set to leave traditional cable TV and move to Netflix in a monumental deal at the start of next year. There is a lot of chatter about how this will change the landscape of professional wrestling.

The Judgment Day star was the most recent guest on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. He discussed things such as his storyline with Rhea Ripley, working with Eddie Guerrero and more.

When the topic of the Netflix deal came up, Paul explained how wrestlers will be able to take advantage of the global reach to expand their personal brand. Dirty Dom mentioned that he hasn’t thought about the move in that manner and his focus is on putting out the best performance he can:

“To me I just want to wrestle. I just want to go out there and put on the best performances as possible. But on the business side of it, which I feel like a lot of, it’s newer for us wrestlers to like kind of do it that way.

Cause like I said, I feel like we just kind of want to go out there and wrestle and perform and give the best to the fans. So this is, bringing it to Netflix, it’s gonna, a whole new set of eyes, different crowd, you can get new people involved. It’s going to be…I want to see what boundaries we can push with it for sure.”

    Out of Nowhere

WWE has slowly moved towards more edgier programming in the past couple of years. Angles such as Dominik’s storyline with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan have been testing out the limits of what’s allowed on cable TV.

When asked how he thinks the programming will adapt to streaming which will have even fewer restrictions, Mysterio mentioned that fans would expect them to go all out with explicit content. The former champion, however, explained that you have to restrict the amount of mature content in order to make it meaningful:

“I think people are going to expect us to go in there and just…first episode of Raw on Netflix I think people are gonna expect you know freaking blood and tables everywhere, titties. Like Edge and Lita where they had the live sex show.

I’m sure people are going to expect things like that but I feel like in order for stuff like that to be special and meaningful you can’t have it all the time. It’s gotta come like an RKO out of nowhere. It’s like you don’t expect it and then it’s like, boom – titty!”

Dominik Mysterio is currently scheduled to team with Liv Morgan to take on Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest in a mixed tag match at the Bash In Berlin PPV on August 31.

“It’s gonna be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So, that’s what I’m doing in 2025.”

Cena confirmed at the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 PLE that he will be retiring from in-ring competition next year and no amount of money will change his mind. • Jacob Fatu Returning to WWE TV Soon After Injury Scare at SummerSlam

Jacob Fatu Returning to WWE TV Soon After Injury Scare at SummerSlam

The Bloodline will be back in full force very soon after a recent injury scare threatened the group’s solidarity at a critical time. Jacob Fatu recently burst onto the scene as the newest member of The Bloodline.

The former MLW World Champion immediately aligned with Solo Sikoa, adding another highly combustible element to the group. Fatu wasted no time, winning the World Tag Team Championships with Tama Tonga and playing a significant role in Sikoa’s WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

    Jacob Fatu’s WWE Return

Unfortunately, Fatu’s high-risk offense backfired at SummerSlam when he dove off the top rope onto Cody Rhodes, who was sprawled on the announcer’s table at ringside. Fatu connected, but it was immediately apparent that something went wrong. He was writhing in pain, assisted backstage by WWE officials, and later spotted wearing a protective boot on his foot in the hours following the event.

According to PWInsider, Jacob Fatu is scheduled to return to WWE television by the end of this month. This is excellent news because a more serious diagnosis could have necessitated surgery, derailed storylines, and jeopardized his future mobility. Fatu and Tonga won’t have to surrender the tag titles, and The Bloodline will have ‘all hands on deck’ as they deal with Roman Reigns, the recently returned Original Tribal Chief (OTC).

  • Chad Gable On The Wyatt Sicks, Shorty G, Kurt Angle Comparisons

Chad Gable On The Wyatt Sicks, Shorty G, Kurt Angle Comparisons

WWE RAW Superstar Chad Gable recently sat down with the Insight podcast to discuss a variety of topics. Gable re-signed with WWE earlier this year and has been a prominent player on Monday Night Raw throughout 2024.

    On The Wyatt Sicks

As of late, Gable has run afoul of the Wyatt Sicks and was seen motionless and bleeding from the head when the group arrived on the main roster. This led some to joke that Gable had been killed off. On the podcast, Gable said the reaction from fans was “insane” and recalled a young fan approaching him about being ‘killed’ while at church.

“He’s like ‘Where did it [the wound] go?’ I’m like, ‘Well, I mean, I fixed it bud, I went to the hospital and stuff, it was bad.’ And he’s like ‘What did they do to you?’ I’m like, ‘You’ll have to tune in tomorrow night.’”

    On Bray Wyatt

The Wyatt Sicks is obviously inspired heavily by Bray Wyatt who tragically passed away in August of last year. Gable recalled working with the the three-time WWE World Champion upon joining WWE’s main roster in 2016.

“I learned a lot from Bray in that time and just gained the utmost respect for him. Because he’s one of those guys that when he speaks his mind or gives you feedback you listen. Nothing he says feels like he’s just saying it.”

On Not Having A Bad Match

Gable has been commended among fans and his peers as a reliable athlete who is seemingly incapable of having a bad match. This “feather in my cap” is one Gable takes immense pride in as he intends to give his best no matter his position.

“[A match] could only be like 90 seconds or two minutes at times. Some people might write that off and be like, well, it’s just a two-minute match, let’s just go do it. It’s like no, man, I have two minutes tonight, let’s see just how good we can make two minutes.”

    On Kurt Angle Comparisons

With a background in Olympic wrestling and an unbridled intensity in the ring, Gable has often found himself being compared to Kurt Angle. Speaking on the podcast, Gable said it was an “honor” to have his name mentioned alongside WWE’s first Olympic Gold Medalist.

“Kurt is the man dude, he’s been so cool. throughout everything we’ve done with him. I got to wrestle him, which was insane.”

    On Shorty G

In 2019, Gable’s character was dramatically changed and much was made of his height. The unpopular changes also saw Gable’s name be changed to Shorty G, a name change that on-screen was presented as Gable’s own idea. The storyline came at a “low point” for Gable, who at the time was desperate for any opportunity on WWE TV. Thankfully, Gable’s time as Shorty G would end, and he believes it showed WWE that he was a team player.

“I did the most I could with it. I think what it showed was that I am willing to contribute in whatever manner, if it’s down here, or up here, I’m willing to contribute whatever I can and whatever is asked of me.”

    On Not Holding Singles Gold

For all his years with WWE, Gable has yet to hold a singles championship, a fact alluded to during his IC Title pursuit and feud with GUNTHER. The Olympian is hopeful that singles gold will soon be his and is disappointed that it didn’t happen during his program with Sami Zayn.

“We’ve got one piece of the puzzle left to fill in… it’s still on the table.”

  • Cody Rhodes Teasing Surprises For WWE Bad Blood 2024 in Atlanta

Cody Rhodes Teasing Surprises For WWE Bad Blood 2024 in Atlanta

The first WWE Bad Blood PLE in over two decades could be a night of surprises if Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is to be believed. The show will take place on October 5, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be WWE’s fourth Bad Blood event and the first show under the name since June 2004.

Speaking with Variety, Rhodes shared his excitement for Bad Blood, which will mark WWE’s first PLE in Atlanta since Day 1 2022, and Rhodes’ first PLE in his hometown since returning to WWE. The American Nightmare also teased some surprises in store for the October event.

“Atlanta has always influenced culture… Bad Blood could be the biggest Premium Live Event since WrestleMania and we have some surprises in store.”

The announcement of WWE Bad Blood 2024 saw Rhodes share the screen with music artist Metro Boomin and the pair engaged in a ‘stakeout.’ In the interview, Boomin shared his excitement for WWE Bad Blood 2024 and gushed over getting to work with the American Nightmare.

“As a lifelong fan of the WWE it was an honor to work with the legend and undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes… Cody’s story is inspiring to me, as I’m sure it is to millions of others.”

No matches have been confirmed for WWE Bad Blood 2024, though many fans are predicting a Hell in a Cell match. The three previous events in the show’s history have all featured matches in the barbaric structure with Triple H winning two of those three matches (and having an outside role in the other.) Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on WWE Bad Blood and the career of Cody Rhodes as WWE’s top name.

  • Paul Heyman: ‘Every Single Day With ECW Was An Honor & A Blessing’

Paul Heyman: ‘Every Single Day With ECW Was An Honor & A Blessing’

It’s been over 20 years since the original ECW closed its doors, but Paul Heyman still remembers his time with the promotion very fondly. Speaking to Newsweek this week, the WWE Hall of Famer and former owner of ECW recalled his time leading the tribe of extreme.

“Every single day of it was just an honor and a blessing and a dream job.”

Heyman’s tenure with ECW turned the promotion from an Eastern-based territory to a violent, counterculture, cult-followed entity that was among the three biggest promotions in its heyday. In 2001, ECW closed its doors in the face of immense financial strain. Heyman would depart the company shortly before the company went under and would appear as a WWF commentator, replacing Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler.

    Paul Heyman Today

These days, Heyman remains part of WWE and his influence has bolstered talent from CM Punk to Brock Lesnar to Roman Reigns. Speaking about what’s to come in wrestling, Heyman was optimistic about the future.

“An era more of continued transparency. Intelligent discussion of the product itself. Authenticity, in terms of the characters. And just great stories.”

Heyman hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since being attacked by Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, though he was backstage at SummerSlam and was seen conversing with Roman Reigns. This has led fans to speculate that Heyman’s return is imminent, though Reigns was by his own on last week’s SmackDown. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for the latest on Paul Heyman as the ECW magnate continues to be am important figure in wrestling.

  • Drew McIntyre Shows Off Scars After Belting By CM Punk On 8/12 WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre Shows Off Scars After Belting By CM Punk On 8/12 WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre has shown off some of the wounds from his latest collision with CM Punk that unfolded during this week’s Monday Night RAW. During the show, McIntyre was told that Punk had travel issues and was not at the venue. Later on, McIntyre interrupted a segment between GUNTHER and Randy Orton and teased a feud with the Viper. During this segment, Punk, who later admitted to lying about his travel issues, ambushed his nemesis from behind.

On social media, McIntyre shared the consequences of his latest showdown with the Best in the World. Despite his scars, McIntyre remains in possession of the bracelet featuring the names of CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee and their dog Larry.

This latest attack has led fans to speculate on a potential strap match between McIntyre and CM Punk, possibly at the upcoming WWE Bash In Berlin Premium Live Event on August 31. The event will mark WWE’s first PLE in Germany and take place from the Uber Arena. A WWE SmackDown taping will take place from the Uber Arena on the Friday before Bash In Berlin.

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been adversaries throughout 2024 ever since McIntyre took credit for injuring Punk in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, the two have delivered beatdowns upon one another and Punk has cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship a number of times. McIntyre may have won at SummerSlam, but their feud is clearly far from over. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for the latest on this deeply personal rivalry unfolding on WWE RAW.

Bron Breakker Reveals His Biggest Adjustment After Joining Main Roster

WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker has been on a meteoric rise since joining the WWE main roster. Before the transition, he made his name on the company’s developmental brand NXT. He has revealed how he had to adjust to the changing circumstances.

WWE has a hectic touring schedule and it can be daunting for the newer talents on the main roster. Breakker told TV Insider that adjusting to the habit of being on the road was his biggest challenge after joining the main roster. He said:

“Getting in the habit of being on the road, you get in a nice rhythm. Then it becomes fun and a really good time. You get to see different towns and cities and stuff so that part is cool.”

During the interview, the youngster revealed that CM Punk and Paul Heyman helped with his transition to the main roster. He said:

“It has been a combination of a lot of people. Paul Heyman is someone who has been a crucial hand in me on the main roster. CM Punk as well. So many people. The whole locker room has been so helpful in some form or fashion. Since being up here, it has been great to be a part of everything.”

Bron Breakker, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner has been dominant ever since he joined the company three years back. The powerhouse immediately impressed the fans with his feat of strength and agility. The 2-time NXT Champion was called up to the main roster earlier this year and since then he has been on the ascent.

The momentum is in favor of Breakker and he recently captured the WWE Intercontinental title after pinning Sami Zayn at SummerSlam. On last night’s Raw, he successfully defended the title for the first time against Sami Zayn.

Bron Breakker is growing confident every passing day and doesn’t bother even if his opponent is WWE legend John Cena.

  • John Cena Shares More Details On His Upcoming Retirement Tour

John Cena Shares More Details On His Upcoming Retirement Tour

WWE legend John Cena is determined to hang up his boots and he has made it clear that no amount of money could change his mind. He has now shared some more details on his upcoming retirement tour.

During the Jackpot! promotion, Cena told ComicBook that he has built a trustworthy relationship with the fans over the years and the 16-time World Champion is a man of his word. His decorated in-ring career will culminate in December 2025 and said that even if he is offered a huge sum of money, he will still retire. He said:

“There isn’t a check writer with enough money to change my mind when I hang it up in December. I don’t want to continue for ego or financial gain. I built a relationship of trust and authenticity over the years with the WWE, and that’s people who think I suck and people who believe in me, they know that I shoot them straight and I’m trustworthy. I mean what I say: when I’m done in December, I am done. It is the last time I will perform in a ring.”

Cena, who has had a legendary career said that he wants to try something special for his farewell tour and go through the memories of 25 long years. He said:

“It truly is the last time for generations for grandparents and parents and kids to get together in the same time. Grandparents could be like, ‘I didn’t know about wrestling and my son dragged me here.’ That son now has a son and daughter of their own, and they like John Cena, and now their kid likes Cody Rhodes. I want to try to do something special where we can all get together one last time and, and go through 25 years worth of memories.”

    John Cena’s post-wrestling career

Following his retirement, Cena is planning to continue to represent WWE. However, he will take up an ambassadorial role.

“I’ll be a member of the WWE family as an ambassador and a grateful one. But you will see me wear this (points to suit), not the wristbands, the jorts, the ball cap. That, in December 2025, that goes away, and that’s the reason why we’re putting so much equity and emphasis on this farewell tour.”

John Cena returned at this year’s Money In The Bank PLE last month and announced his retirement tour. While Cena plans to retire soon, he is thriving in his acting career. Fans can witness him in Jackpot!, an action comedy directed by Paul Feig coming to Prime Video on Thursday, August 15th.

  • Dakota Kai Out With Torn Meniscus, Will Miss Eight To Ten Weeks

Dakota Kai Out With Torn Meniscus, Will Miss Eight To Ten Weeks

Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai will be out for a number of weeks after suffering a torn meniscus, WWE confirmed on this week’s RAW. Not only is the former Women’s Tag Team Champion set to miss between eight to ten weeks of action, but she is also set to undergo surgery.

On the August 5, edition of Monday Night RAW, Kai was scheduled to face Sonya Deville in singles competition but was attacked backstage by Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler. Kai was seen clutching her leg and it was later reported that she was dealing with an injury and had been written off TV. Instead of Kai, an irate IYO SKY replaced her in the match and defeated Deville.

This is the latest setback for Dakota Kai, who had more than her fair share of injuries since coming to WWE. In 2018, Kai suffered a knee injury at a NXT live event during a six-woman tag-team match. Her injury was believed to be a torn ACL and it would be over six months until fans next saw her back in the ring.

In May 2023, Kai suffered another torn ACL in a tag-team match that also saw Liv Morgan injure her shoulder. The Kiwi Superstar wouldn’t appear again until SummerSlam in July and wouldn’t wrestle again until March of this year. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on Dakota Kai and the various injuries that have kept a number of top WWE Superstars on the shelf.
