Torrie Wilson Recalls Turning Down X-Rated WWE Angle

WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson has said she turned down an x-rated segment during her time with the company which made her feel uncomfortable.

Wilson joined the WWE in 2001 following the demise of WCW and would pose for Playboy twice, once on her own and a second time with Sable.

In 2019, Wilson returned to WWE to be inducted into the Hall of Fame by her real-life friend and fellow WWE Superstar Stacey Kiebler.

    Saying No

Wilson’s beauty was the focal point for much of her wrestling career, but one idea proved to be too much for the Hall of Famer.

Speaking with the Generation Iron Fitness & Bodybuilding Network, Torrie recalled turning down the idea to be fully nude on TV, but for her privates to be covered in paint.

“They wanted me, like what Sable did, paint my boobs and walk out there naked, and I said no. There are certain things that I turned down that I could’ve gotten ahead with. But it just didn’t feel right.”

    Torrie Wilson.

A similar spot was done by Sable in 1998, when the future Mrs. Lesnar appeared on Raw with her privates covered in handprints.

    Torrie Today

Wilson’s days in the ring as a full-time Superstar may be over, but she hasn’t left wrestling entirely.

Less than a year after her 2008 release, Wilson returned to compete in a Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25 but was unsuccessful.

Wilson also competed in the first Women’s Royal Rumble in 2018, where she eliminated Dana Brooke before being thrown out by Sonya Deville.

Torrie also competed in this year’s Women’s Rumble, where she was again eliminated by an ex-MMA fighter (Shayna Baszler) and was the only Hall of Famer in the match.

  • WWE has “Craziness” Planned for Survivor Series WarGames Matches

WWE has “Craziness” Planned for Survivor Series WarGames Matches

Things are going to get ‘crazy’ during the upcoming Men’s and Women’s WarGames matches scheduled for later this month.

WarGames, a staple of the NWA and later WCW, was first used by WWE in 2017 as part of the NXT brand.

Ths year’s Survivor Series will mark the first time the match type has been used as part of the main roster.

    WarGames

With this being the first usage of WarGames on the main roster, there is (unsurprisingly) a lot of excitement around this year’s Survivor Series. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alverez reported that WWE is planning for some “craziness” as part of both matches.

It was added that WWE wants exciting footage that they can use for future video packages of the match.

While WWE already has footage from NXT, many of the Superstars in those matches have since been released.

The only WarGames matches which were filled with still-employed Superstars took place at last year’s NXT WarGames event.

    Filling the Cage

At this time, no men have been announced for their WarGames match, but the women’s match is nearly full. Its been confirmed that Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross, and a mystery partner will face Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and two partners.

On this week’s Raw, a backstage segment teased that Rhea Ripley could feud with Belair next, and it’s likely she will be added to the heel team.

If so, then fans can expect Mia Yim to enter the match, who returned on this week’s Raw and attacked Ripley.

Candice LeRae is also a likely candidate to fill out the babyface team, given that she too has had issues with Damage CTRL in recent weeks.

  • Latest on WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Ticket Sales

Latest on WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Ticket Sales

WWE’s upcoming Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is likely to be another sell-out show judging by the ticket sales.

The 2023 Royal Rumble will take place on January 28, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The show will be the 36th Royal Rumble event, and the sixth to feature both a men’s and women’s Rumble match.

    Tickets

So far, no matches (other than the two titular matches) have been announced for the show, and no participants have been named for either Rumble match.

That hasn’t stopped fans from purchasing tickets however as WrestleTix noted on Patreon the show has sold 30,157 tickets.

The venue will reportedly be set to a capacity of 33,874 seats, meaning there are 3,717 seats left to purchase.

WWE initially planned a smaller capacity, but added more rows of seats last week.

    Favorites

Even with the show still 80 days away, there has been plenty of speculation about the Men’s Rumble match.

The winner will earn a guaranteed title shot against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 39, which is expected to be current-champion Roman Reigns.

One popular name being considered a favorite by fans is Cody Rhodes, who returned to WWE in April and vowed to become a WWE World Champion.

Bray Wyatt, who returned to WWE last month at Hell in a Cell 2022, is also being considered a favorite by fans.

It has been reported that WWE is planning Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 39, which will take place in Los Angeles.

The Rock won the 2000 Rumble match, and if victorious this year, would break the record for the longest gap between Rumble victories.

  • Austin Theory Breaks Silence after Failed MITB Cash-In on WWE RAW

Austin Theory Breaks Silence after Failed MITB Cash-In on WWE RAW

Austin Theory had an eventful night last night on WWE RAW. The 25-year-old superstar defeated Shelton Benjamin in a singles match on the show, a rare victory for Theory since winning the Money in the Bank ladder match in July.

Theory was added by WWE Official Adam Pearce as a surprise entrant in the ladder match and went on to win it. Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon had numerous backstage segments with Austin as a way to put his stamp of approval on the up and coming star.

However, things change fast in the wrestling business and Austin Theory has to start over. Vince McMahon resigned in late July and was Theory’s biggest supporter. The 77-year-old introduced Austin as a future WWE Champion at WrestleMania and Theory certainly has some work to do for that to come to fruition.

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship last night on RAW. Bobby Lashley beat Mustafa Ali down backstage to prevent him from accepting it and made his way to the ring. The All Mighty opted to attack Seth and put him through the announce table rather than fight for the title.

Austin Theory seized the opportunity to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract on the United States Championship. He connected with the A-Town Down on Rollins and went for the cover but Lashley dragged the referee out of the ring. Bobby got the challenger in the Hurt Lock and Rollins capitalized with the Stomp for the pinfall victory.

    Theory Speaks After Failed Cash-In

Austin Theory took to Twitter following his shocking defeat on last night’s WWE RAW and delivered a message to fans. He vowed to never stop and included a rocket ship emoji to the tweet. The post also had a video of highlights of his main roster career thus far.

  • What WWE Originally Planned for Bret Hart’s Return after Montreal Screwjob

What WWE Originally Planned for Bret Hart’s Return after Montreal Screwjob

Former WWE writer Court Bauer recently discussed plans for Bret Hart’s comeback in WWE following the Montreal Screwjob.

Bret Hart battled Shawn Michaels at WWE Survivor Series 1997 with the title on the line. During the match, the Heartbreak Kid got Hart in the Sharpshooter and the bell rang even though the Hitman didn’t tap out. The incident will forever be remembered in wrestling history, as Bret spit in Vince’s face and flipped out after the match.

Speaking on The Insiders podcast, Bauer said the original idea for Bret’s comeback was for a big tag team match between the Hart Foundation and the McMahons, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and his students. at WrestleMania 22.

Well, the original version was supposed to kind of, sort of, got off the ground in WWE in 2006, or seven. Bret was back in the orbit of WWE after coming to terms with Vince and doing the DVD and at one point was going to be Bret versus Vince at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago, and then Bret was a little uneasy about doing that. They eventually did it much differently a few years later.

The original idea was gonna be the Harts and the Hart Foundation versus the WWE, Vince, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Shane, Shawn’s students at the time. The idea would be you know, you have Paul London.

You had Brian Kendrick, and then they were gonna sign Bryan Danielson. So you had like all these interesting ways against the Hart Foundation, which would have been Bret, Neidhart, and a new generation, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Nattie, Teddy and so on.

So we started the process and I got Harry Smith, Davey Boy Smith Jr. signed, Nattie and TJ, Tyson Kid and Teddy. I remember Vince looking at me saying. ‘You know, self-masturbatory gimmick.’ It was like a warning, like this is on you when this goes south. I’m like okay. Now truth be told Teddy outlasted me in WWE.

I left the summer of 2007 and he stayed around for a little bit more. So I don’t know how that ended up going, but clearly he didn’t end up on air and the other guys did. Nattie is still there doing great things, Tyson is contributing behind the scenes, and Harry’s had his tours of duty there since, so it was interesting what could have been with that. I think Jericho at some point was figured into the Hart story too, I think. I don’t remember the details off the top of my head.”

    H/T: Wrestling News

WWE legend and current AEW commentator Jim Ross recently revealed on his podcast that he didn’t speak with Bret Hart for years following the Montreal Screwjob despite having nothing to do with it. You can check that out in the link below.

Cain Velasquez Granted $1 Million Bail After Eight Months in Jail

Former WWE star Cain Velasquez is a free man. On Tuesday, a Santa Clara County judge granted the former UFC Heavyweight Champion bail after a pre-trial hearing that lasted almost 13 hours over two days.

“This incident is extremely serious but appears to be isolated behavior by Mr. Velasquez,” Judge Arthur Bocanegra stated (transcript courtesy of MMA Junkie). “There is also a viable heat of passion defense.”

The breakdown of his release includes a $1 million bail,  a protective order to stay a minimum of 300 yards from alleged victims, and GPS monitoring and compliance to an extended set of terms.

Velasquez has been jailed for over eight months while he faces several charges for allegedly being involved in a shooting in late February. The charges against him include 1st degree attempted murder, multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and shooting an occupied motor vehicle, among others. If found convicted, he faces decades in prison.

The incident alleges that Cain followed Harry Goularte, who was charged with one felony count of lewd and lascivious act for allegedly molesting Velasquez’s son, after Goularte was let out of jail under supervised release despite being charged.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion allegedly fired shots at the vehicle with Goularte, his mom, and stepdad, where Velasquez hit Goularte’s stepfather.

His defense attorney, Mark Geragos, had previously requested bail three times but was shut down on each attempt.

R-Truth Confirms Injury That Will Require Surgery

R-Truth confirmed the injury he suffered on the November 1 episode of WWE NXT in a video shared on social media.

R-Truth’s most recent match was on NXT against Grayson Waller last Tuesday, where he had to be helped by the medical staff to the backstage area following a dive over the top rope that saw him land awkwardly on the mat.

The referee gave Waller the win after stopping the match. Waller then cut a heel promo after the match because it was cut short unexpectedly.

The bout was set up after R-Truth made an appearance the previous week when Waller interrupted NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, who was addressing the NXT crowd over his win at Halloween Havoc on October 22.

  • Ric Flair Lashes Out at WWE Over ‘Bully’ JBL’s Hall of Fame Induction

Ric Flair Lashes Out at WWE Over ‘Bully’ JBL’s Hall of Fame Induction

WWE is again using JBL on television as Baron Corbin’s manager. In recent weeks, the WWE Hall of Famer has been doing promos on the behalf of Baron and calling him a wrestling god, a nickname he had when he was still wrestling.

This continued on Monday’s episode of Raw as JBL did a heel promo and Corbin beat Cedric Alexander in a quick match.

In a post on Twitter, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair called out WWE for using JBL while endorsing an anti-bullying program and knocked WWE for having JBL in the Hall Of Fame. Flair wrote the following:

    Ric Flair’s Tweet

    Ric Flair
    (WWE)

“I Guess The Anti Bullying Program You So Heavily Endorsed Does Not Apply To Bradshaw!! Jason Roberts And Joey Styles!! What A Joke! And He’s In The HOF! Sad!”

For years, there have been stories from wrestlers and talent about JBL that have claimed he was a bully backstage in WWE by taking ribs/pranks too far that were not in good-nature.

Former ECW star The Blue Meanie accused him of taking hard shots at him during their brawl at an ECW One Night Stand show that left him bloodied and injured. Also, Justin Roberts accused JBL of being a bully in his book, while there were issues with former WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo when he paired with JBL on the SmackDown commentary team.

Joey Styles was bullied by JBL and punched him out as a result. This past July, Flair partnered up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo and faced Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett in the main event of “Ric Flair’s Last Match” event during SummerSlam weekend.

  • Will Ospreay Has Been Contacted by WWE – Has Dream Opponents in Mind

Will Ospreay Has Been Contacted by WWE – Has Dream Opponents in Mind

Could Will Ospreay step through the Forbidden Door and compete against some of WWE’s biggest stars?

Ospreay is currently signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling and is in his first reign as IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

In June this year, Ospreay made his debut for AEW and defended his title against Orange Cassidy at the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door event.

    Stepping Through the Forbidden Door

In addition to New Japan and AEW, Ospreay has competed for Progress Wrestling, Rev Pro, and Ring of Honor, among other promotions.

Ospreay has yet to compete in a WWE ring, but as he told Tokyo Sports, it is something he’s considering.

“I’ve been approached by them, so I have a lot to think about.”

    Will Ospreay.

This year has seen WWE work more with other promotions, including having Impact’s Mickie James at the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

AEW stars were allowed to appear on Raw in June to mark the 20th anniversary of John Cena’s debut, and it is reported that the Good Brothers will compete for NJPW up until Wrestle Kingdom in January.

    Opponents

If Ospreay does compete for WWE, there’s no shortage of potential Superstars for him to face.

In the interview, Ospreay discussed possible opponents, including a first-ever match and reuniting with an old foe.

“I’ve mentioned Seth Rollins’ name many times… Also, considering my history, it would be a dream to fight Ricochet again. I think that because I think we have become completely different wrestlers than when we fought in the past.”

Ricochet and Ospreay have faced off a total of 13 times according to Cagematch, which their most recent bout being in August 2017.

  • John Cena ‘Should be Wrestling’ at WWE WrestleMania 39 (Report)

John Cena ‘Should be Wrestling’ at WWE WrestleMania 39 (Report)

John Cena will be donning his jorts and sneakers for next year’s WrestleMania according to a recent report.

Cena, a 16-time WWE World Champion, was once the face of the promotion but has appeared less in recent years due to his thriving Hollywood career.

John hasn’t competed in WWE in over a year, with his most recent televised match seeing him lose to Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Summerslam 2021.

    WrestleMania

Cena appearances are becoming increasingly rare, and the former World Champion has missed the past two WrestleManias.

Speaking to Louis Dangoor this week, WrestleVotes gave an update on Cena’s plans for WrestleMania 39.

“Cena should be there and Cena should be wrestling.”

    WrestleVotes.

WrestleVotes also refuted the idea that Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE in July this year would hurt Cena’s chances of a high-profile match on the card.

“Vince is out of the picture, Cena still has a love for this place. John Cena and Triple H have a respect for each other.”

    WrestleVotes.

WrestleVotes added that Cena competing next year makes sense if John wants to be ‘the next Rock,’ as WrestleMania 39 will take place in Los Angeles, California.

    Cena Vs. Theory?

With WrestleMania still months away, there’s no confirmation on who John Cena will face at WrestleMania 39.

Earlier this year, a feud was teased between Cena and Austin Theory, who like John held the United States Championship early into his career.

While many expected a match between the two at Summerslam, that did not take place, and Theory instead faced Bobby Lashley on July 30.

Despite this, Theory has said he expects to face Cena at next year’s WrestleMania.

  • AJ Styles Says Top WWE Star “Surprised” Him with In-Ring Skills

AJ Styles Says Top WWE Star “Surprised” Him with In-Ring Skills

John Cena has often been labeled as Mr. Five Moves of Doom, but that couldn’t be further from the truth according to AJ Styles.

Styles debuted for WWE at the 2016 Royal Rumble as the #3 entrant after a lengthy career in TNA/Impact Wrestling.

The Phenomenal One has since gone on to become a two-time WWE Champion and captured WWE’s Grand Slam in 2021.

    Surprised

After Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns, Styles’ third major feud in WWE came at the expense of John Cena.

After defeating Cena at Money in the Bank (thanks to interference by the O.C.) Styles would get a rare clean win over the Hollywood star at that year’s Summerslam.

Speaking on The Halftime Show, Styles reflected on his experience working with Cena and how the 16-time WWE World Champion surprised him.

“A guy that surprised me with how good he was in the ring would be John Cena. John is not known for being a technical mastermind in the ring, but he’s pretty good. I had some of my better matches against this guy.

“His mind for how everything needs to work and transition-wise. He’s just good. He knows what he’s doing. It’s one of those things were you thought, ‘I’m the superior wrestler in the ring,’ but once you get in there with John Cena, you realize, ‘Well, okay, I didn’t know that. Let’s keep going.’”

Styles would capture his first WWE Championship after the Cena feud, which he’d lose to Big Match John at the 2017 Royal Rumble.

    Cena: Will he Wrestle Again?

Once considered the face of WWE, Cena’s appearances for the company have grown rarer as his career in films and on TV continues to grow.

Cena’s most recent match came at the Summerslam 2021 event in a losing effort to Roman Reigns, and some have questioned if he is done in the ring.

Earlier this year, a feud with Austin Theory was teased, but this did not lead to a match.

Despite this, Cena has remained adamant that his in-ring career isn’t over yet, and Theory has teased facing the former WWE World Champion at WrestleMania 39.

Watch: WWE Star Meets Family After 14 Years Away

WWE Superstar Omos recently enjoyed a family reunion over close to a decade-and-a-half away from his loved ones.

The Nigerian Giant signed with WWE in 2019 and was called up to the main roster in 2020 as the henchman of AJ Styles.

A former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion, Omos’ most recent match saw him lose to Braun Strowman at last week’s Crown Jewel event.

    Reunion

As a WWE Superstar (and previously a college Basketball star) Omos has spent much of his life in the United States and away from his native Nigeria.

This week, Omos traveled back home and was able to reunite with his family in person for the first time in 14 years.

TMZ was able to catch the emotional reunion and it is reported that Omos’ family had no idea he was going to be there.

It is also reported that Omos will be making an announcement in Nigeria at some point soon, believed to be related to WWE’s upcoming talent scouting in Africa.

Omos said earlier this year that he is confident WWE could fill a 100,000-seat arena if they held a Premium Live Event in Africa.

    The Future for Omos

Omos came up short against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel 2022, but the future looks bright for the Nigerian Giant.

It was recently reported that WWE’s higher-ups were pleased with the match in Riyadh, especially Omos’ performance.

The feeling backstage is that the former Raw Tag Team Champion is improving quickly the more time he spends in the ring.

Omos has had 106 matches in WWE so far (including his run at NXT Live events) and boasts a 70-36 win-loss record.

  • WWE Announces First WarGames Match for Survivor Series

WWE Announces First WarGames Match for Survivor Series

WWE has announced the first WarGames match for the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event on November 26th at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss made their way to the ring during this week’s edition of RAW. Belair defeated Bayley of Damage CTRL in a Last Woman Standing match at Crown Jewel this past Saturday.

Bliss and Asuka lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships back to Damage CTRL at the premium live event a handful of days after winning them in the main event of the Halloween edition of Raw last week.

The EST called out Damage CTRL and said that their rivalry is far from over. Damage CTRL came to the entrance ramp and Dakota & IYO boasted about winning the titles at Crown Jewel. Alexa Bliss pointed out that Nikki Cross interfered in the match and that is the only reason they won on Saturday.

Asuka and IYO SKY then had a shouting match in the ring. The Empress of Tomorrow shouted WarGames and a brawl broke out. Nikki Cross joined Damage CTRL for the attack and seemingly is now a part of the group. Cross attacked both Bayley and Bianca Belair in a non-title match a couple of weeks ago on Raw but all is forgiven in times of war.

Damage CTRL was later ringside for Nikki Cross’ match against Dana Brooke for the 24/7 Championship. Nikki defeated Dana to win the title, only to throw it in the trash a few minutes later backstage.

WWE made the match official during official on social media and released a graphic for the match. Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross will need to add one more female superstar to their team before November 26th.

Bianca, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss are tasked with finding two teammates before Survivor Series: WarGames.

Bobby Lashley Sends Warning to WWE Raw Locker Room: “I’m Going to Have Fun Kicking Everybody’s A**”

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship tonight a couple of times on WWE Raw.

Finn Balor was about to accept the Open Challenge the first time but The OC interrupted. Mia Yim made her return to align with The OC and brawled with Rhea Ripley. Styles, Gallows, Anderson, and Yim sent the Judgment Day on the retreat as Rollins escaped backstage.

Rollins vowed to still have the Open Challenge and made his way to the ring towards the end of the show. Seth cut a promo first and announced that this month marks ten years with the company. Mustafa Ali showed up on the jumbotron and said he was going to accept the challenge.

Bobby Lashley attacked Ali from behind and accepted the challenge because Rollins was the one who cost him the US Title in the first place. Lashley opted to beat the hell out of Rollins before the bell rang. Austin Theory attempted to cash in his MITB contract on the US Title but Lashley dragged the referee out of the ring. Rollins capitalized on the madness and hit the Stomp to retain the United States Championship.

Bobby Lashley Sends Warning to Seth Rollins & WWE RAW Locker Room

The All Mighty Bobby Lashley was interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton following RAW in a WWE Digital Exclusive. Saxton asked Bobby to provide an explanation for his actions tonight and Lashley stated

I don’t care about any of this stuff because at the end of the day my title was stolen from me.

From now until I get it back, I am kicking everybody’s ass that stands in my way. I could care less.

I’m not about winning matches right now. I’m just about hurting people and making people pay for what they did to me.

Because when it happened to me, everybody was out there cheering right?

When Seth came in after Brock (attacked him) and jumped on me, he came in and took my title from me, and everybody was cool with that.

But now that I go out there and do what I have to do in order to be right back on top, now people have a problem with it. You know what? I could care less.

I’m going to have fun kicking everybody’s ass until I get my title back.

The November 7th edition of WWE RAW is in the books and what an eventful show it was.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring fresh off her victory over Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel. She was accompanied by former Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Asuka.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss captured the Women’s Tag Team Champions on last week’s RAW but lost them back to Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL at the premium live event on Saturday. The trio called out Damage CTRL and suggested a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Nikki Cross attacked from behind and a brawl broke out.

Bianca, Asuka, and Alexa have to find two partners before Survivor Series: WarGames on November 26th. Damage CTRL will add one more superstar before the match.

Nikki Cross Wins 24/7 Title & Throws It Away

Later on RAW, Damage CTRL spoke to Nikki backstage and wanted her on their WarGames team. Bayley added that Nikki doesn’t have to wait until Survivor Series, she can get her aggression out tonight against Dana Brooke.

Nikki cackled and made her way to the ring. She proceeded to demolish Dana Brooke as Bayley watched on from commentary. Cross hit a Swinging Neckbreaker and pinned Dana Brooke to win the 24/7 Championship.

After the match, Bayley draped the title on Nikki’s shoulders as she walked backstage with a crazed look in her eyes. Nikki then thew the title away in a trash can (or at least attempted to) and kept walking with Damage CTRL behind her.

The trend of WWE bringing in NXT stars to work episodes of Main Event at weekly Raw events has continued.

At Monday’s Raw (November 7), a fan favorite NXT star made their main roster debut: Wendy Choo, also known as Karen Q and Mei Ying.

    Wendy in Action

The episode featured Wendy Choo going up against Tamina for an upcoming edition of Main Event that will air later this week.

Since introducing the character, she has been a hit with the fans and gotten over with her character shedding their cheerful vibes from backstage to show off a more vicious side once the bell rings.

Choo recently competed in a match against NXT’s long-reigning Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, but came up short in her title pursuits.

Another NXT star that worked Main Event was Xyon Quinn. This marked his main roster TV debut as he has previously worked a dark match on the main roster as he wrestled in a pandemic-era SmackDown match under a former name.

Carmelo Hayes and Von Wagner are just some of the NXT names that have been put in this spot for WWE officials to get a look at these stars on a bigger stage.

The Judgment Day cut him off, and shortly after that, The OC entered the ring. A brawl broke out between the two factions as Yim emerged from the crowd and attacked Rhea Ripley, with The OC standing tall in the ring to end the segment.

WWE released Yim in November 2021 after a run on WWE Raw as Reckoning, and in between, being swapped between brands without appearing anywhere. Yim didn’t wrestle any matches for 15 months while being sidelined by WWE and having her non-compete run out.

She spent five months with Impact Wrestling until parting ways with the promotion following their set of Bound For Glory tapings last month when she was free to wrestle once her non-compete clause expired.

WWE was reportedly interested in bringing back Yim after the expiration of her contract with Impact.  WWE recently welcomed Emma (Tenille Dashwood) back to the company after years of being away.

Chelsea Green Addresses Potential WWE Return

Chelsea Green has commented on a potential return to WWE, as it has been reported that WWE has discussed bringing Green back to the company.

While speaking with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone, Green was asked about potentially signing an exclusive deal with a company.

Before being called up in 2020, Green signed a contract with WWE in 2018 and wrestled on the NXT brand. She made her SmackDown debut on November 13 but fractured her wrist during a match. In April 2021, Green was subsequently let go in a round of layoffs.

“I think that I wouldn’t go to AEW, and that’s just a reality for me. It’s not gonna happen. With WWE, I’m really glad that I left on good terms, although I was sad that I didn’t get to fulfill myself creatively as a wrestler. I still had a great relationship with Triple H. I had a great relationship with Vince, so I am really happy that I’m able to hold my head up high knowing there’s an opportunity for me to possibly go back if they decide it’s the time and the place. But this time would be different because I went into it the first time, and I was just so doe-eyed and naive, and just thought that I deserved to be listened to and deserved to be heard.

Now I realize it’s not always like that. And it’s not always wrestling. It just shows business. Acting is the same way. You’re not going to get everything that you ‘deserve’ or everything that you work for, and all you can do is just go in with a totally open mind and just let things happen. So if I did get the chance to go back, and if someone contacted me, I would absolutely have that conversation.”

Green continued by saying that, given the outcome of her first stint with WWE, she still had unfinished business. She said she would approach it differently this time, but the decision to return to WWE ultimately is a decision the company will have to make.

Green stressed that, even though she has enjoyed her independence on the open market, some of her will always wonder what may have been if she hadn’t left. She compared her situation with her husband, Matt Cardona, who worked for the company as Zack Ryder for a significant amount of time.

Karrion Kross Explains How his Relationship With Triple H Led to WWE Return

Many fans were surprised to see how Vince McMahon handled Karrion Kross’ WWE main roster run last year as he changed up Kross’ entrance and didn’t use Karrion’s wife Scarlett as his manager.

He also booked Kross to be beaten in matches. They returned to WWE in August 2022 – less than a year after the company had released both stars.

They are just two of many former stars that have returned to the company since Triple H took over creative following the retirement of Vince McMahon.

    How Did it Happen?

While speaking to The Sun, Kross explained how his relationship with Triple H helped lead to the couple’s comeback.

He noted he stayed in touch with a lot of people in WWE after his release and viewed it as a good experience.

“So every once in a while, we would check in on Hunter and see how he’s doing, just personal stuff – we never talked about work – and he would check in on us. One day he was wondering if we were around for a call. And then I think it was the week that you guys saw me on TV. I jumped on a call with Hunter and he proposed the concept of coming back. He said, ‘Would you guys like to come home?’ And we were like, ‘Of course we would’. And then you guys saw us two days later, we were on TV.”

“We’ve always had a good relationship with everyone. We loved our experience there. That bridge was never ever burned or damaged or anything like that. It was just a series of unfortunate events that led to where we’re at and we came full circle.”

Johnny Gargano, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, and Dakota Kai were just some of the names brought back after McMahon’s controversial retirement.

  • Natalya Can Breathe Again After Recent Nasal Surgery (Photo)

Natalya Can Breathe Again After Recent Nasal Surgery (Photo)

Wrestling isn’t ballet, as they say. Despite years of experience and countless hours of training, injuries are an unavoidable aspect of the sport. On Monday, WWE veteran Natalya revealed that she’s undergone surgery to repair a “dislocated nose” (nasal fracture).

Natalya’s injury occurred on last week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which was actually taped a week prior. After a match that saw her lose to Shayna Bazsler, Bazsler blasted Natalya with a knee to the face that busted her open.

Fans on social media speculated about the legitimacy of the spot. It sure looked like Natalya was legitimately injured, but WWE Superstars are experts at making safe spots look dangerous.

The broken nose led to a lot of discomfort and breathing difficulty. Natalya noted on Twitter that she can finally breathe again after doctors “moved her dislocated nose back to the center of her face” where it belongs. Ouch.

She added that she loves the shape of her nose and is happy this procedure won’t affect its appearance.

SEScoops wishes Natalya a speedy recovery.

  • Matt Cardona’s WWE Return Will Be On Unprecedented Terms

Matt Cardona’s WWE Return Will Be On Unprecedented Terms

Matt Cardona appears to be open to a WWE return, but it will have to be on his terms.

Since Triple H has assumed responsibilities for heading WWE’s creative after the departure of Vince McMahon, many familiar faces have been brought back to the company. Many have speculated as to whether or not Cardona could be one of those names brought back.

Speaking in an interview with Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Cardona discussed a potential return to WWE. While he’s certainly open to the possibility, he has one term that he seems to be sticking to.

He does not want to return as Zack Ryder, but rather, Matt Cardona. Cardona seems to be ready to put the Ryder character behind him.

“It’s certainly exciting. Every week, it seems like, maybe not every week, but it seems like someone’s coming back or debuting or re-debuting it’s fresh, it’s exciting,” Cardona said. “It’s must-see TV, and I think that’s what wrestling should be.

“Yeah, I said Zack Ryder is dead because, and listen, never say never, right, but if I were to ever go back, it has to be as Matt Cardona. Zack Ryder, it was what it was. I’m so grateful for that run. It has set me up for this run. Without being Zack Ryder in WWE, I wouldn’t be Matt Cardona talking to you right now. So it set me up for everything.

“But the ‘Woo, woo, woo’, the headband, the sunglasses, it’s dead. I was trying to get away from stuff while I was still Zack Ryder in WWE, but you can’t write the show. So if I’m trying to be more serious, but you’re booked to be not so serious, it is what it is.

“That’s why, when I was let go, it was like, oh my god. Not that I had any handcuffs on, but the handcuffs were off, and I was able to just become the new version of me, whatever that was going to be.”

    Matt Cardona NWA Champion

During his run with WWE, Cardona went by the ring name Zack Ryder from 2005 to 2020. Throughout that run, Cardona earned himself both a United States and Intercontinental Title run. He also won the RAW Tag Team Titles with Curt Hawkins twice.

Unfortunately, in 2020, Cardona was victim to WWE’s COVID-19 budget cuts, and was released from his contract. After leaving WWE, Cardona has worked for a variety of promotions; such as All Elite Wrestling (AEW), IMPACT Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
