“Not sure my presence will be needed yet @ wwe draft. I have no fond draft memories re: ’08 & going to SDown. Still don’t agree w/ decision.”

    – WWE has named Thomas Veit as their new Senior Vice President of Live Events. He will oversee WWE’s live events department including ticket sales, event marketing and booking. Veit worked for Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union and PPL Park before joining WWE.

    – WWE’s new All Stars video game is selling at a faster rate than projected by THQ, based on sales of the previous “B” game – Legends of WrestleMania that came out two years ago.

    – Speaking of WWE All Stars, the game’s official website has posted a notice about a problem with the first round of downloadable content for the XBox 360 system.

“This delay impacts the pre-order Million Dollar Pack (“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and his son, Ted DiBiase), Honky Tonk Man free playable character for everyone and the American Dream Pack featuring Dusty Rhodes and his son, Cody Rhodes. We are fully aware of our initial intent to deliver the content by this time frame and sincerely apologize for this delay, as well as the unforeseen miscommunication of our plans.”

  • Possible WWE Release, Why The Draft Was Moved To Next Week

    — It was announced to the live RAW crowd at the O2 Arena on Monday that WWE’s next television tapings from the UK will be on November 7 and 8 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

    — As reported earlier, WWE will hold their annual Draft next week in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The draft had originally been scheduled for June, but WWE sources say the event was booked for next week as a “panic move” in hopes of spiking the ratings.

    – As we’ve been reporting in recent weeks, WWE is expected to release a lot of talent after the current European tour as part of the annual “spring cleaning” and cost cutting. In what appears to be the first casualty of this upcoming round of releases, WWE developmental wrestler Jackson Andrews has been removed from the roster page of the Florida Championship Wrestling website. Typically, this is a sign the talent has been released.

Andrews had a very brief run on WWE television back in December as the bodyguard of Tyson Kidd on RAW, but he was quickly sent back to developmental.

  • JR Blog: Edge’s Future, Talent Needing To Step Up & More

Jim Ross is back with another blog over on jrsbarbq.com. Here are some highlights:

Edge’s Retirement & Future: “Great to see Edge fulfill his commitments and travel with WWE on this European tour to say adiós to his fans. I can still vividly remember hiring Edge and Christian out of Ontario back in the day and then signing them both to a full time deal one night at a TV taping under the bleachers of an arena that slips my mind at the moment. Edge has so much to give to the business and I’m relatively certain that WWE will utilize Edge’s many skills in the future.”

His Match At Extreme Rules: “Hard to believe that some fans want to know what I’m wearing for our tag team ‘match’ at Extreme Rules. Haven’t given it much thought. My lack of grappling skill is going to make this a train wreck without fail. If I have to be in the ring with Swagger, perhaps I should wear a suit of amour but he would likely dent that just as he ripped my ankle that’s still sore after all these weeks. Hopefully Swagger sees the light and bails on Cole as the former Sooner has embarrassed himself enough with his relationship with the Syracuse grad. When one gets out of their element, as I will do in Tampa at Extreme Rules, it certainly creates an adrenaline rush notwithstanding some levels of self doubt as well.”

Check Out: Updated Card For Extreme Rules On 5/1 (New Matches)

WWE Talent Needing To Step Up: “It is crunch time for several WWE Superstars to rise to the occasion and assume leadership and main event roles on both the Raw and Smackdown roster. I hope that we don’t hear from those that don’t take it to the next level that the sole culprit of them not making it was everyone but the Superstar themselves. There are so many potentially excellent talents now competing on WWE rosters but they all have to work diligently to make themselves special no matter the situation that they may find themselves in at any given time.”

  • WWE Survey On New PPV Names, Former WCW Star Hospitalized

  • Melina Responds To ‘Hateful People’, Val Venis Continues Insults

“People… Just live your life. Enjoy today peeps and love the people who are there for you to the fullest.”

Meanwhile, former WWE star Val Venis, who posted an inflammatory video directed towards Melina and boyfriend John Morrison earlier this week, has continued to besmirch the “Sexy, Smart and Powerful” WWE Diva. • Tough Enough *Spoilers* Miss USA, Eliminations

With WWE Tough Enough drawing strong ratings on Monday nights and looking like a hit show for WWE and the USA Network, we’ve got an update with some behind-the-scenes details as well as some spoilers regarding future eliminations. You’ve been warned – spoilers head!

WWE Tough Enough finished filming 10 episodes around March 19-20. Ariane was already back home on February 18th according to her Twitter, so it was obvious she was going to be eliminated first. AJ Kirsch and Eric Watts returned home March 20th which could indicate they are in the finale. If not, it’s likely they’ll make it far. Miss USA Rima Fakih returned home March 16th, which indicates she makes it far in the show- but not to the finale.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Miss USA had to use lots of body makeup to cover up all of the bruises on her legs once she was eliminated from WWE Tough Enough and had to return to her Miss USA duties. While a bruised-up Miss USA doesn’t sound like the best spokesperson for the organization, pageant officials gave Fakih permission to do Tough Enough because they felt it would help her get an acting career started.

It’s said that while in the Tough Enough house, Fakih drank heavily, used a lot of foul language and was very critical of Miss USA owner Donald Trump. It will be interesting to see how much of her crazy antics wind up on the show and what gets edited out.

It’s been heavily speculated that Rima will join the WWE Divas roster, regardless of how she does on Tough Enough. She holds the Miss USA crown until June 19th.

While most of the eliminations have been taped already, the winner of Tough Enough will be announced during a special live broadcast in a few months.
