WWE superstar Seth Rollins was spotted at the Chicago Bears game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Lucas Oil Stadium. A die-hard Bears fan, Rollins attended the game during his current break from WWE and found himself in an unexpected viral moment with former Colts wide receiver, TY Hilton.
A Surprise Encounter with TY Hilton
In a playful interaction that delighted fans, Hilton, a former Colts standout, engaged with Rollins near the stands. Hilton humorously “threw” Rollins out of the seating area, causing the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion to tumble onto the field. The light-hearted scene was caught on camera and quickly spread across social media.
Rollins Reacts to the Bears’ Loss
The game didn’t go well for Rollins’ Bears, who lost 21-16, dropping their season record to 1-2. Following the defeat, Rollins took to social media to vent his frustration, rekindling his well-known frustrations with the Bears’ performance. He reiterated his disappointment with football as a whole, continuing a theme he’s expressed in previous seasons.
The viral nature of the incident with TY Hilton generated significant buzz on social media. Fans of both WWE and the NFL discussed the crossover moment, making Rollins’ tumble one of the most talked-about highlights from Sunday’s game.
Rollins’ WWE Absence
Rollins’ appearance at the game comes amid his time off from WWE. He has been absent from programming since August 5, when he was brutally attacked by Bronson Reed on WWE Raw. Rollins has been recovering since the assault, and his time at the Bears game marked one of his rare public appearances during this hiatus.
WWE fans have caught their first glimpse of Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries that will focus on the historic rise and dramatic fall of Vincent K. McMahon. The six one-hour episodes will delve into the life of the 79-year-old billionaire when it hits the streaming juggernaut on September 25. McMahon himself was interviewed for the docuseries, as the trailer shows right from the start as he declares,
“People have wondered who I really am. There’s this portrayal of me as a bad guy, but no one really knows me.”
– Vince McMahon in ‘Mr. McMahon’ (Netflix)
Some of the biggest names in wrestling history are involved, with appearances from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Hulk Hogan,”Stone Cold” Steve Austin, John Cena, Bret Hart, Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, and McMahon’s son-in-law and Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
As we see in the trailer, this docu-series won’t shy away from controversy and touches on the 1994 steroid trial, the double-murder suicide of Chris Benoit in 2007, and alleged sexual misconduct. While it was the latter that ultimately ended McMahon’s reign on top of wrestling’s empire, Janel Grant has not participated in the series.
Produced by Bill Simmons and Tiger King executive producer Chris Smith, Mr. McMahon has been in development since 2020. The project was reportedly reworked to reflect the allegations against McMahon, including his departure from WWE.
Fans in the U.S. will have access to Monday Night Raw each week, while those outside of the States will receive Raw, SmackDown, WWE NXT, and Premium Live Events. Netflix will not cover monthly PLEs in areas where deals are already in place with other distributors, such as India.
Michael Oku and Amari Blair were on the scene at this week’s AEW Dynamite in Cardiff, Wales, with Oku wrestling in a dark match at the show. Oku faced Serpentico in the match, and Amira accompanied him to the ring. While the match did not air on TV, photos from Oku and Blair’s debut have surfaced on social media.
Oku recently challenged MJF for the AEW American Championship earlier this month at RevPro’s Summer Sizzler 2024 – Road to the Anniversary event in London. MJF retained at the event, which also saw an appearance by Will Ospreay. MJF and Ospreay will collide for the AEW American Championship this week at AEW All In: London 2024.
Michael Oku & Amira Blair
Oku and Miller didn’t appear on TV at this week’s Dynamite in Cardiff (the first TV taping outside North America) but that could easily change. Talent within RevPro shared their hope to Fightful earlier this month that Oku will be signed after his match with MJF. Oku is the current Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion, after defeating Great-O-Khan last month. The report adds that Blair could also be signed alongside Oku.
After Summer Sizzler, Oku told Stephanie Chase that there had been discussions between both he and Amira and AEW, and he has also teased appearing at All In: London. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for the latest on these two wrestlers and their quest to be ‘All-Elite.’

During an appearance this week at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan engaged with the crowd in a rowdy and controversial manner, directing remarks at U.S. Presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Hogan, known for his flamboyant promos, teased that he might “body slam Kamala Harris” and even suggested he could “drop the leg” on her. The crowd reacted enthusiastically, but Hogan quickly downplayed the remarks, emphasizing that he was only joking, saying, “That was not me, that was the beers talking.”
The event was part of Hogan’s promotion for his new beer, Real American Beer, a premium light lager introduced this summer, which bills itself as “brewed with 100% North American ingredients.” The incident, captured in an embedded video courtesy of TMZ Sports, has garnered mixed reactions.
WWE RAW announcer Pat McAfee wasn’t afraid to share his gratitude at what will be his final episode of the Red brand for a while. From atop the announcer’s desk, McAfee said thank you to those who built the set for RAW, those in the production truck, the make-up crew, the Superstars, those in Gorilla, and “the greatest of all time” Michael Cole.
McAfee didn’t stop there, as he saved his final thank-you to the WWE Universe, and ended by saying he’ll see everyone in January. Check out this exclusive footage of McAfee’s address, shot by longtime SEScoops correspondent Noah Mark Blaustein.
McAfee will be stepping away from the WWE RAW commentary table to rejoin the ESPN College GameDay team for the upcoming season which will start this week. McAfee’s departure will come as a blow to his fans as his enthusiasm at WWE events has proven to be infectious.
While McAfee will be off WWE TV for a handful of months, he won’t be leaving the world of wrestling entirely behind. This Saturday’s edition of ESPN College GameDay will air live from Dublin, Ireland, and will fittingly see the country’s own Sheamus serve as the celebrity guest picker.
The RAW commentary team will undergo another major change soon enough when Joe Terristore joins the red brand in September 2024. Terristore’s involvement with WWE was announced back in July and he comes with a lengthy background at ESPN. As to who will fill in for McAfee on next week’s RAW remains to be seen, though The Miz filled in for Pat earlier this year when McAfee was off dealing with a family situation. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on Pat McAfee from in and outside of WWE.
WWE icon and Hollywood box office heavyweight John Cena has plans for his career after he officially retires from WWE active competition in December 2025. Cena has wrestled for WWE since his debut in 2002 in a match against Kurt Angle. While he still looks in great shape and has competed sporadically for the company in recent years, he does not want fans thinking he’ll come out of retirement after his final match. Cena appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week (August 13) and said:
“I know sometimes retirement in wrestling are liquid. They happen, and they renege on that. I am 100% done. December 2025 is the last time I will perform in a ring, said Cena.
– John Cena on Jimmy Kimmel Live
John Cena: WWE Ambassador
Cena plans to be part of the WWE family for years to come, and feels that he can continue contributing by serving as a Brand Ambassador for the world’s premiere sports entertainment company.
“I’ll still be part of the WWE family as an Ambassador, but the time has come to close the physical performing chapter of my life, and I’m at peace with it, which is why 2025 is going to be awesome. It’s going to be fun. It’s not going to be sad, but that’s it.”
– John Cena on Jimmy Kimmel Live
When Cena becomes a WWE Ambassador, he’ll join the likes of other legends like The Undertaker and Lex Luger, who represent the promotion outside the ring. The company would have the accomplished film superstar make special appearances for various promotional events. Cena’s new role will continue to allow him to take on acting roles while being a representative for WWE when needed.
The former 13-time WWE Champion has already shown he can be a great ambassador from his involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and media appearances throughout his career. Another example of his dedication to being a great spokesperson is how much he cares for the WWE fanbase. An old video has resurfaced online regarding Cena’s signing 3,000 photos in the lead-up to WrestleMania 26 in 2010, showing his commitment.
Cena’s new role in WWE would be an excellent way for him to stay connected with the company and continue his journey of becoming a successful box-office attraction in his acting career. Next year will mark the end of Cena’s accomplished wrestling career, but his comments on the Jimmy Kimmel Show show that he still wants to be involved with WWE’s future.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry made his return to programming on this week’s RAW alongside his Next-In-Line athlete son Jacob. The father/son duo were highlighted in the crowd during this week’s show that took place in Austin, Texas.
For Mark Henry, this week’s Raw marked his return to WWE programming after a three-year absence. Henry’s previous appearance on RAW was as part of the Legends Night special of the red brand in January 2021. In May of that year, he debuted for All Elite Wrestling where he served as a commentator and coach. His time with Tony Khan’s first promotion ended in May of this year.
Jacob Henry in WWE
Expectations are high for Jacob Henry and his potential future in WWE could see more appearances by his legendary father. As for Mark, he recently shared that he has become a booker and ‘director’ for the All Caribbean Wrestling promotion. The promotion is set to work with Major League Wrestling soon, Henry told TMZ Sports last month.
Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on Mark and Jacob Henry and their potential futures with WWE.
Sami Zayn offered some big praise to Bron Breakker after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Moody Center in Austin, Texas went off air.
The wrestling veteran evoked his rematch clause for the Intercontinental Championship on the Red Branded Show this week after his SummerSlam loss earlier this month.
The two out of three falls match was the main event of the show. Sami got the early pin on Breakker at the start of the bout but the IC Champion came back and scored a pin to even the numbers.
The ending of the match saw Sami hitting the Helluva Kick but Bron kicked out. Zayn then went on the top but Breakker caught him mid-air with a spear out of nowhere to score the final pin and retain the title.
Sami Zayn stayed in the ring after the episode went off air and received an ovation from the crowd. The 40-year-old cut a promo saying that Bron has the potential to become the face of the company:
The star-studded episode of Raw featured some interesting developments. Rhea Ripley opened the show and Dominik Mysterio explained that he turned on The Mami because she was trying to change her.
The show also featured a confrontation between Randy Orton and Gunther. Drew McIntyre who was not happy about Orton getting a title shot tried to interrupt the two but CM Punk blindsided him before he could reach the ring.
Orton took the opportunity and delivered an RKO to the World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile CM Punk continued beating McIntyre and he took out the Scottish Warrior with a belt to end the segment.
WWE SummerSlam 2024 is in the history books, and the fallout from the event will impact WWE storylines for months to come. The event perfectly balanced the start of a new era with the culmination of some long-running angles, giving us a lot to contemplate.
A number of new champions were crowned at the show who are expected to be leading the charge of the company for many years to come. On the other hand, some of the biggest talking points came from the completion of many long-running arks.
Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal of Rhea Ripley is one such storyline that has been in the making for a long time. We’ve been tracking the minute developments of this story for months. Now that Dirty Dom’s true intentions are out in the open, we can reflect on the whole thing to see the full picture.
Looking back at the marquee angle of WWE Raw, we can say that the signs were always there. Liv Morgan had the remote in her hand the whole time and she had been pulling the strings to get exactly what she wanted.
The biggest sign of it came at the King and Queen of The Ring PPV where Liv originally won the Women’s World Championship vacated by Rhea Ripley. At the time it appeared that Dominik Mysterio had accidentally helped Morgan win the title when he distracted the referee.
A new slow motion video of the whole angle, however, shows that the two were always working together. In the video below, you can see Dirty Dom signaling his new associate to take advantage of the situation as he discreetly does what he is the best at:
The Devil’s In The Details
Morgan has also been in the ear of Finn Balor all this time. If you remember, Liv Morgan was the one who got Balor and JD McDonagh a rematch for the tag team championships, before helping them regain the title from The Miz and R Truth.
Even after The Mami had returned to TV to take charge of The Judgement Day, Finn and Liv were spotted together one too many times. When Liv Morgan destroyed the faction’s clubhouse, she left the things belonging to the former Universal Champion untouched:
Looking back at all the signs, it’s pretty clear that Liv Morgan has been the devil behind the details. She had been causing all the mayhem to fulfill her promise of taking everything that belonged to Ripley on her revenge tour.
Now that she has successfully taken the group apart, the big thing to see will be how Rhea Ripley reacts to this betrayal and what she has in store for the Women’s Champion now.
Stay tuned with SEScoops as we continue to follow the top storylines of the wrestling world and provide details to help enhance your pro wrestling experience.

Now, it’s time for her to begin the next chapter of her life.
CM Punk is just days away from his first televised one-on-one match in WWE in over a decade. WWE’s digital team caught up with Punk prior to Monday’s WWE Raw at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
We know that CM Punk has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando several times over the past several months, but we haven’t seen much of him in the ring until now.
CM Punk Trains for SummerSlam
Punk reflects on starting his pro wrestling career in Minnesota 24 years ago as he tapes his wrists and prepares to move around. He says, “I’m going to give them a show tonight before we see the multi-time WWE & AEW Champion jump from the apron into the ring and run the ropes at a healthy pace.
He said, “arm feels great” as he smiled to the camera, a promising sign he’ll be in top shape this weekend.
CM Punk & Jesse Venutra
We then see new footage of CM Punk meeting WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura. Punk is shown telling Ventura that they met once about a decade ago and introducing himself again. He extended his hand and said, “CM Punk, Phil” and Ventura recalled, “Oh yeah, you’ve got that unique name. I always tried to figure that name out, how in the hell did you come up with a name like CM Punk?”
Punk agreed it’s a stupid name and said it was his nickname as a child, because he was a little brat kid. “Well, good for you, it served you a purpose then, you can’t forget it.”
Ventura later jokes, “When you get to be my age, you’re just another old man.”
During a separate conversation with with Jimmy Traina for the SI Media podcast, Punk commented on the surreal meeting with The Body:
“I saw Governor Ventura the other day, said Punk. Absolutely, 100% blown away, one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me in my life is when he tells me that he saw I came back, and he said, ‘The place must have changed. If Punk is back, I’ll go back.”
There were a number of big moments during the go-home WWE RAW ahead of SummerSlam leading up to the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer.’ Seth Rollins “confirmed” the stipulations for the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match, the Wyatt Sicks unmasked and took out the Creed Brothers and

Cody Rhodes’ impeccable style is most easily associated with his signature fancy suits, but the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion is also a dedicated sneaker-head who has no problem dropping thousands on the right pair of kicks.
Recently, Rhodes went Sneaker Shopping with Complex at Stadium Goods in Manhattan and took home quite a haul. Among his acquisitions, the most eye-catching pair was the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low, a shoe that blends luxury with streetwear.
Designed by the late Virgil Abloh, these sneakers represent a significant collaboration between luxury fashion and streetwear. MJF was attacked by a fan at this week’s AEW Dynamite…granted, the “attacker” was only seven years old. As he and his opponent Will Ospreay brawled in the crowd, Ospreay prompted a young female fan to hit MJF, which prompted a middle finger in response.
The girl’s father proudly posted alternative angle of the ‘attack’ on social media:
MJF went on to win the match over Ospreay in the final seconds before the expiration of the 60-minute time limit. In doing so, MJF is the new AEW International Champion.
MJF Interacting w/Young Fans
This isn’t the first time that Maxwell has had a dust-up with young fans during his AEW matches. His now infamous ‘water throwing incident’ from AEW Revolution 2023 got him coverage on outlets such as TMZ. His decision to throw water in the face of a child at ringside led to AEW President Tony Khan having a “serious conversation” with MJF over conduct that he deemed unbecoming of the AEW World Champion.
“We had a serious conversation and I mean that. It’s not to be taken lightly. The young man, Titus, was a real pro about it. We’ll see Titus here again at AEW… I was just with him, and he was a real champ about it.
The champion [mjf] didn’t act like a champion there, but I think Titus was great.”
This week’s 250th AEW Dynamite was a massive milestone for the company, and a ton happened on this action-packed show. We got an hour-long ‘Match of the Year’ candidate between MJF and Will Ospreay, a disturbing in-ring promo from ‘Timeless Mariah’ May and the surprise return of Darby Allin, who descended from the rafters and is the final man on Team AEW for next week’s AEW Blood and Gutsspecial.

Former WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet to reflect on his journey in wrestling and his release earlier this year. Mahal held the WWE, United States, and 24/7 Championships before being cut.
Thoughts On WWE
This year marked the second time in a decade that Mahal, now working under the name Rah Dhesi, has been released from WWE. Despite this unfortunate statistic, the Canadian wrestler bears no ill will to his former employer.
Mahal: “There’s no hostility, there’s no negative feelings at all with WWE. I’m very grateful for them for all the years and the platform they provided me.”
On The Release
Mahal was let go from WWE along with the rest of Indus Sher after the group had worked on Monday Night RAW and in WWE NXT. Mahal recalled WWE keeping the group away from important personal events, only to be left on the sidelines.
Mahal: “A few months prior (to being released) Veer had a religious event that he holds, it was the one-year anniversary of his father’s death. He got told that no, we’re needed for RAW, you can’t go back home… Sure enough, that week we weren’t booked, we were sitting at home.
“They were quite frustrated. And also myself, started off the year with The Rock and had the WWE championship match. Then one week later, I’m not in the Royal Rumble. Which was I thought it was very weird. So we talked to TR, we just said, Hey, listen, like, if there’s nothing for us, we can go our separate ways. And sure enough, a few months later, we went our separate ways.”
When asked if he requested his release, Mahal made clear that he didn’t but that at the time was open to the two sides going their separate ways.
On Fan Support After He Was Released
While being released is rarely fun, Mahal was met with a whirlwind of fan support and interest from independent promotions shortly after his release. This wave of momentum didn’t go unnoticed by the former World Champion.
Mahal: “I generally get a lot of hate online. But it was one of those rare instances where I got to show my real personality, actually, this happens to me all the time. I meet people and they’re like, wow, like you’re not what we expect. [They say] you’re nice, maybe it’s the Canadian in me. Always respectful, polite, and the Jinder Mahal character was the complete opposite of me.”
On Drew McIntyre
Mahal isn’t the only 3MB alum to reach the pinnacle of WWE as Drew McIntyre is also a former WWE Champion after capturing the gold at WrestleMania 36. While Mahal is happy to remind fans that he was the first 3MB member to taste WWE World Championship gold, he’s pleased to see McIntyre be a main event talent on Monday Night RAW.
Mahal: “I became WWE Champion before Drew McIntyre, don’t you forget that [laughs]. Drew’s the man. What Drew is doing right now is incredible. This is the best version of Drew. Drew’s the man. He’s like a brother to me and to see him in this position.
“He just signed a new contract so he’ll be there for a few more years. Something about a man like he is incredible. He’s having fun. I just don’t think he cares anymore and that’s usually when the best comes out. Like CM Punk, he doesn’t care about anything and that’s why he’s the best.”
On Being in The Punjabi Prison Match
In 2017, during his reign as WWE Champion, Mahal faced Randy Orton in the third Punjabi Prison match. While Mahal would win the match (with a timely assist from the Great Khali,) it’s not a match that the Modern-Day Maharaja enjoyed.
Mahal: “The Punjabi prison match sucks. It’s terrible. [In what way?] It’s so hard. The inside cage is the blue old-school cage. You can hit it as hard as possible and it won’t even make a noise. It was terrible. And then just the crowd reaction they couldn’t really see the people in the arena, there’s two cages so when we’re on the inside, there’s two cages they couldn’t really see. And it was just painful. Kendo sticks, chair shots, everything.”
On Not Working With Brock Lesnar
Later on that year, Mahal (still the WWE Champion) was poised to face RAW’s Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Mere days before the show, Mahal lost his title to AJ Styles who’d lose to the Beast at the PLE. Despite rumors of Lesnar refusing to work with him, Mahal doubts that’s the case.
Mahal: “The headline came out, ‘Brock Lesnar refused to work with Jinder.’ I don’t think he refused. I just think it was he probably pitched for a match with AJ because stylistically, it is a much better match. Me and Brock are both heels. Who’s gonna put heat on who? It was gonna be a flat match. It would have just been him suplexing me a bunch of times, maybe Singh Bros get involved. But the match he had with AJ was phenomenal.”
“I had it [the WWE Championship] for six months and I didn’t know that I was losing the championship until the day of. We were in Manchester and we have the title match. We get to the building. Michael Hayes tells me and AJ go talk to Vince, and send us to Vince’s office, Vince tells me you’re dropping the championship.”
