The 2025 Royal Rumble will feature some of WWE’s top Superstars, all vying for either championship gold or a title shot at WrestleMania 41. Now, the show will involve Kai Cenat as the popular YouTube and streamer has been announced for WWE’s first PLE of the year.
Cenat’s involvement was revealed during Cenat’s appearance on WWE Raw in Atlanta, where he was interviewed by commentator Pat McAfee. The Raw commentator extended a personal invitation to Cenat to attend the Royal Rumble, which Cenat enthusiastically accepted.
IShowSpeed previously appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 40, where he aided then-United States Champion Logan Paul. IShowSpeed will be at WWE Royal Rumble and given access to stream throughout the show.
The 2025 Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place on February 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana. With Cenat and IShowSpeed confirmed for the show, alongside five high-profile matches, fans can expect a huge event this Saturday to kick off the Road to WrestleMania 41.

The Royal Rumble remains one of WWE’s most anticipated events, known for its unpredictability and its role in setting the stage for WrestleMania. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates on the remaining participants and potential surprises leading up to the event.
WWE fans may see former Divas Champion Michelle McCool return to action in the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match. McCool, who retired in 2011, recently teased a potential one-off comeback through a Twitter post.
The speculation arose after McCool shared a fan-made graphic of potential entrants in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble, which listed her at the #10 spot. While McCool has never pursued a full-time return to wrestling, the concept of a single appearance piqued her interest. In her tweet, McCool wrote:
“REAL TALK – since retiring, I’ve never been in any ‘serious talks’ with anyone about another run….not saying it wouldn’t be nice?!?! Confident I can go, so here’s my question: All ya gotta do is ‘declare yourself’ these days for the Rumble?!? #FLAWLESS Sorry y’all, saw this & truly made me wonder! #wwe #royalrumble #isitreallythatsimple #whodoicall”
McCool, who made a brief appearance on this week’s SmackDown, was shown in the crowd during the broadcast. Notably, her husband, WWE legend The Undertaker, was also present at the event, though he remained backstage.
The Women’s Royal Rumble, now in its eighth year, has a history of welcoming returning legends. McCool’s potential involvement would be a major draw for fans eager to see the former champion back in action, even for just one night.
WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is back in her element, reclaiming her title and setting her sights on the next chapter of her dominant reign. At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Ripley successfully defended the WWE Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax, solidifying her status as a cornerstone of the women’s division.
In an exclusive post-match interview with Peter Rosenberg and Jackie Redmond, Ripley opened up about the significance of her win and the feeling of having the championship back in her possession. When asked if everything felt “as it should” now that she was champion again, Ripley responded with nostalgia:
“Yes, it does. It’s actually giving me flashbacks of Australia, of Elimination Chamber. Giving me good old flashbacks of 2024, 2023, before everything else happened.”
Ripley expressed how much she missed holding the championship, emphasizing its importance to her identity as a competitor:
“It’s always good to be on top, right? [Laughs] It feels fantastic. I’ve missed this championship, I’ve missed this Women’s World Championship. I was the first-ever Women’s World Champion, and I just feel like it belongs on my shoulder. It belongs in my bag, it belongs with me 24/7, so it’s real nice to be reunited.”
Eyes on WrestleMania 41
As Ripley looks ahead, the road to WrestleMania and the upcoming Royal Rumble loom large. She acknowledged the growing pool of challengers vying for a shot at her title, but Ripley remains unfazed. Confident and ready for any opponent, she shared her mindset:
“I’ve had a lot of friends backstab me before, I’ve had a lot of family members backstab me before. At the end of the day, everyone wants that WrestleMania golden ticket, and I don’t blame them. It’s a massive opportunity, it’s what everyone works for. I have a target on my back, and I’m not gonna hide from that fact.”
Ripley firmly stated her intention to enter WrestleMania 41 as champion and issued a warning to her future opponent:
“Whoever stands across the ring from me, they’re gonna have to be ready for ‘Mami’ because at the end of the day, ‘Mami’ is always on top.”
A Hint at a Men’s Royal Rumble Entry?
Ripley also hinted at the possibility of entering the Men’s Royal Rumble, showcasing her unrelenting ambition and knack for breaking barriers.
As the champion reaffirms her position atop WWE’s women’s division, the anticipation builds for who will step up to challenge Ripley on her path to WrestleMania glory.
Rhea Ripley has already reached the pinnacle of the WWE Women’s roster, but could the Men’s Royal Rumble be next in Mami’s sights? At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Ripley retained the Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax.
In a post-match interview, it was brought up that Ripley doesn’t have a match at WWE Royal Rumble 2025, but in theory could enter the women’s match. Ripley, however, had other ideas, saying “I think it would be a bad decision. Maybe I’ll be in the men’s one.”
If Ripley were to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, she’d become the 5th woman to do so. Chyna made history by competing in both the 1999 and 2000 Rumble matches, and Beth Phoenix would do the same in 2010. Kharma was a part of the match in 2012 while Nia Jax would take R-Truth’s spot in the Men’s match in 2019.
Ripley has never shied away from (literally) man-handling her male counterparts in WWE. Check out this video to see just how well Ripley would fare in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
The Royal Rumble premium live event on February 1, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis promises to be an exciting event with Rumbles and title matches. It remains to be seen if Ripley, who won the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2023, steps in the ring against the men of WWE next weekend.
Kevin Owens will join an elite group at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble, regardless of if he leaves Indianapolis as the Undisputed WWE Champion. On February 1, Owens will challenge Cody Rhodes in a ladder match for the gold. Not only will Rhodes’ WWE Championship be on the line, but Owens’ ‘Real’ WWE Championship will also be suspended above the ring.
Whether he wins or loses, Owens will tie the record for the most Championship matches at the Royal Rumble. The showdown with Cody will be Owens’ eighth time competing for gold. His Rumble title match record breaks down as follows:

2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Winner declares for the 2025 event
“Anywhere, anytime, any show—that’s what I said to Shawn Michaels when I debuted in NXT… That would obviously be a huge honor and a privilege. It’s something that’s synonymous with our business.“
Though Hendry would relish the chance to compete in a Royal Rumble match, he admitted that becoming World Champion has given him a new sense of “responsibility.” While Hendry is now focused on doing what’s best for TNA, that may not keep him from WWE’s upcoming event.
“If TNA management tells me that’s the objective, I will move forward. So, that is what I will do—I will do what TNA Wrestling asks me to do.“
Hendry has been announced for WrestleCon during Royal Rumble weekend in Indianapolis, a fact that has many fans convinced that he will make an appearance. On February 2, the TNA star will set sail as part of Chris Jericho’s cruise.
TNA has already seen Rumble representation as Jordynne Grace’s appearance last year was well received by fans. Time will tell whether Hendry follows suit and if so, how far he gets in the pursuit of a WWE World Championship match at WrestleMania.
The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event got even bigger on this week’s SmackDown with a huge WWE Tag Team Championship match added to the card. On the January 24, edition of SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns discussed DIY doing all they can to avoid a title match. It was then revealed that the titles will be on the line on February 1… in a two-out-of-three falls match.
This will mark the first time the WWE Tag Team Championships have been defended at a PLE since WrestleMania 40. At last year’s Showcase of the Immortals, the titles, then known as the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, were defended alongside the RAW Tag Team Championships in a ladder match. This exciting upcoming match will also mark the WWE PLE debut of the Motor City Machine Guns. The team of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin arrived in WWE in October 2024 and have competed on TV and at live events ever since.
This match is just the latest high-stakes contest set for the Royal Rumble, which will include two Rumble matches and a ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the Royal Rumble including breaking news and live results.
Charlotte Flair has officially confirmed her return to WWE, announcing her participation in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. The announcement came during a vignette that aired on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, where Flair declared, “The GOAT doesn’t have to call themselves the GOAT. I’ve crafted a legacy no one can touch, and I know exactly who I am. And I’m back.”
Flair has been absent from WWE since December 2023 due to a severe knee injury sustained during a match against Asuka on SmackDown. The injury, which involved a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus, required surgery in January 2024. Throughout her recovery, Flair kept fans updated via social media, sharing glimpses of her training and rehabilitation process.
The Royal Rumble premium live event will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Flair’s return promises to add excitement and star power to the highly anticipated match.
The winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match will earn a title match of their choosing at WrestleMania 41. They can either challenge Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley or Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Scott Steiner is known for his big personality and unfiltered opinions, as Big Poppa Pump is never afraid to speak his mind. This week, Steiner sparked speculation by hinting at a potential appearance this weekend at the the 2025 Royal Rumble premium live event.
WWE announcer Pat McAfee expressed his excitement about the Rumble on X. He’s heading (home) to Indianapolis and believes the atmosphere will be electric and that the event will be unforgettable. With just over a week to go, he emphasized that Indianapolis is the perfect host city and that the world will soon see why.
This post caught the attention of Steiner, who suggested that the Royal Rumble would only achieve true epic status if he were to make an appearance.
only way Royal Rumble reaches true EPICness is with Big Poppa Pump in the building. https://t.co/MTxOe6LUqN
Despite being one of wrestling’s most notorious names, Steiner has done relatively little in the Royal Rumble match. Steiner has just two Rumble matches to his name which fell exactly one decade apart (1994, 2004.) Steiner’s sole elimination took place in the 1994 match and saw the future Freakzilla throw out Samu.
The WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is shaping up to be another exciting edition of the fan favorite event, with more and more names declaring themselves for the two 30-Superstar contests. It remains to be seen whether Scott Steiner enters the ring or merely makes an appearance, but there’s plenty of fans who’d love to see Steiner in Indianapolis.
The 2025 Royal Rumble is less than two weeks away, and fans are excited to see who punches their ticket to WrestleMania 41. For the eighth consecutive year, the event will feature two Rumble matches on its stacked card, a 30-Superstar contest for the men and a 30-Superstar contest for the women.
As more confirmed entrants for this year’s Royal Rumble matches are announced, fans are eager to see who’ll enter the most unpredictable match of the year. Winning the Royal Rumble means earning the right to challenge for a championship of their choosing at WrestleMania and in many instances, a chance to headline the biggest show of the year. Stay updated on every confirmed participant as WWE builds the buzz leading up to this year’s spectacle.
If history is any indication, this year’s Rumble matches will be full of dramatic moments before the final person is eventually eliminated. The Final Four of each year’s Royal Rumble match can often be as exciting as the entrants, and over the years, this late stage in the match has produced some iconic moments in WWE history.
It’s almost time to RUMBLE!
Adding to the pre-Rumble excitement, WWE has released a new playlist on its YouTube channel highlighting, “Every Royal Rumble Match Ending of the Last 20 Years.”

Speculation is building among WWE fans about potential surprise entrants for the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, with Jordynne Grace emerging as a top contender for a surprise debut. Reports suggest Grace, who has impressed WWE officials in the past, may be on her way to the company following her recent departure from TNA Wrestling.
Her contract with TNA is set to expire in January 2025. At TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view event, Grace faced Tessa Blanchard in what is speculated to be her final match with the promotion, putting over Blanchard as she prepares to exit. She received a warm celebration backstage after her match. Adding fuel to the rumors, TNA Wrestling recently removed her from its official roster.
This isn’t Grace’s first interaction with WWE. She participated in a tryout back in 2018 but ultimately chose to sign with IMPACT Wrestling (formerly TNA), where she solidified her reputation as one of the most dominant women in professional wrestling.
Grace also made a one-off appearance in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, earning high praise for her performance and leading to additional appearances in NXT.
WWE has reportedly been monitoring Grace’s career closely, recognizing her exceptional mix of strength, speed, and charisma. Her addition to the roster could lead to exciting matchups against top WWE stars like Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair, potentially creating compelling rivalries and elevating the women’s division further.
As of now, WWE has not confirmed her signing, but the signs point to Grace stepping into WWE’s spotlight sooner rather than later.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently revealed his remarkable weight loss journey and hinted at the possibility of entering the 2025 Royal Rumble.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Foley shared that he weighed 360 pounds a year ago and set a goal to get down to 280. Despite hitting a peak of 377 pounds, Foley achieved his target, clocking in at 279.9 pounds during a live weigh-in.
He credited his transformation to a combination of healthier eating, consistent workouts, and the use of Wegovy, a weight-loss medication.
“I did it the old-fashioned way. It was really a three-step process: healthier eating, working out, and, I’ll admit, I cheated a bit,” Foley said.
“A doctor suggested Wegovy after seeing me at over 370 pounds. I know some people see it as cheating, but I felt like it leveled the playing field. My strength was gone, my metabolism had tanked, and I was gaining weight every day. I couldn’t even handle walking up a slight incline without needing to rest. I thought, ‘I’m a heart attack waiting to happen.’”
Foley credited DDP Yoga and swimming as key components of his fitness routine, adding that he’s mindful of his age, saying, “I’m not 21 anymore. I can’t jump into things like I did back then. But I feel good—really good.”
Royal Rumble Speculation
The former WWE Champion revealed he participated in Ohio Valley Wrestling’s (OVW) Nightmare Rumble and felt strong after his performance. However, when asked about entering WWE’s Royal Rumble, Foley gave a cryptic response.
“I wouldn’t say I’m not entering the Royal Rumble.”
Foley initially said with a laugh. He later took a call from someone implied to be Triple H. In a playful exchange, Foley hinted at the possibility of a Royal Rumble comeback.
During the call, he joked, “You saw me in the Nightmare Rumble? I’ve lost some weight, yeah. I’ve been working out. Royal Rumble? Let me call you right back.” The clip ended with Triple H’s iconic theme music playing, leaving fans wondering if Foley might indeed make a surprise appearance.
While Mick Foley stopped short of confirming his participation, his improved health and training have reignited speculation among fans about a potential Royal Rumble entry.
Could UFC fighter Belal Muhammad compete in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match? According to CM Punk, it’s not out of the question. Backstage at UFC 311, the pair were interviewed by Cathy Kelley. When the WWE interviewer brought up the possibility of Muhammad entering the 2025 Royal Rumble, the fighter responded, “You never know what’s going to happen.” However, if Muhammad does compete, don’t expect an alliance with Punk, who made “no promises” about not tossing him over the top rope on February 1.
Punk has already confirmed his participation in this year’s Royal Rumble match, a contest in which he was the runner-up last year. Despite his decorated wrestling career, Punk has yet to secure a Royal Rumble victory and hopes that this year will finally bring him one step closer to headlining WrestleMania, another feat he’s yet to achieve.
Belal Muhammad is the latest UFC star to show interest in transitioning to WWE. In recent years, fighters like Conor McGregor have teased a WWE crossover, though McGregor’s multiple controversies make such a move increasingly unlikely. Similarly, Oban Elliot hinted at an appearance at WWE Bash in Berlin last year, but that did not materialize. With WWE and UFC now united under the TKO umbrella, the potential for crossover between the two organizations is greater than ever. Whether Muhammad will step out of the Octagon and into the squared circle on February 1 remains to be seen.

The WWE Royal Rumble 2025, set to take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN on February 2nd, is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated wrestling events in the company’s recent history. With ticket sales soaring and the surprise announcement of John Cena’s participation, fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an unforgettable night of action.
Ticket Sales Surge Following John Cena’s Announcement
January 6, 2025, during the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW, John Cena officially declared himself for the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match. This announcement has had a significant impact on ticket sales, proving that the 16-time world champion still has the power to draw crowds.
According to WrestleTix, a reputable source for wrestling event ticket information, 3,112 tickets were distributed in the week following Cena’s announcement, bringing the total to 53,369 tickets sold. This surge in sales is a testament to Cena’s enduring popularity and star power.
John Cena is once again proving why he's the top draw in the business at the box office. Since I began tracking major wrestling shows in 2021, his return for the 'Summer of Cena' added 2-3K tickets (at minimum) to every show he appeared on. Very few can replicate that today—The…
John Cena’s Quest for a Record-Breaking 17th World Title
Cena’s participation in the Royal Rumble is not just about making an appearance; it’s part of his larger goal to secure a record-breaking 17th world championship. The announcement came as part of Cena’s retirement tour, adding an extra layer of emotion and significance to his Royal Rumble bid.
At 47 years old, Cena acknowledged the challenges he faces, stating, “I just don’t know what my best at 48 looks like.” However, his determination to win the Royal Rumble and potentially headline WrestleMania 41 has sparked a frenzy among fans, many of whom are eager to see the wrestling icon make history.
Star-Studded Royal Rumble 2025 Lineup
While Cena’s participation has garnered significant attention, the 2025 Royal Rumble is set to feature a roster that rivals some of the most memorable events in WWE history. Fans can expect to see established stars like CM Punk and Roman Reigns, alongside rising talents such as Jey Uso, Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre.
The Impact of John Cena on WWE Events
John Cena’s ability to boost ticket sales is not a new phenomenon. WrestleTix noted that since 2021, Cena’s appearances have consistently added 2,000 to 3,000 ticket sales to every show he’s been part of. This level of impact is unmatched by most current WWE superstars, with only a few names like The Rock, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns coming close to Cena’s drawing power.
Roman Reigns has officially declared his entry into the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match, with his sights set on a potential showdown with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
During the January 10 episode of WWE SmackDown, Paul Heyman addressed the fallout from Roman Reigns’ victory over Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match on the premiere of WWE RAW on Netflix. In the match, Reigns reclaimed the Ula Fala, signaling the conclusion of his feud with Sikoa and his readiness to move forward.
Heyman opened the show by “acknowledging” Cody Rhodes, the reigning, defending, Undisputed WWE Champion. According to Heyman, Rhodes had earned Reigns’ respect, but Reigns was determined to regain his championship. Declaring for the Royal Rumble, Reigns made it clear that his ultimate goal was to challenge Rhodes for the title at WrestleMania 41 if victorious.
Reigns joins a growing list of high-profile entrants in the Royal Rumble match, including CM Punk and John Cena.
A former Royal Rumble winner in 2015, Reigns last competed in the event in 2020. In the years since, he dominated as Universal Champion, defending his title throughout an historic reign.
Now, he looks to reclaim his place at the top of WWE by winning the Royal Rumble and earning another chance at championship gold.
The Royal Rumble 2025 is already set to be star-studded, and the latest betting odds reveal a shocking twist: AEW star Ricky Starks is ranked higher to win the WWE event than legendary names like AJ Styles, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio.
Of course currently signed to AEW, Ricky Starks is listed with 40/1 odds on SkyBet to win the Royal Rumble. While Starks has never appeared in WWE, his undeniable charisma and in-ring talent have caught the attention of fans worldwide.
What oddsmakers sometimes tend to do is throw in a name that is in the news and *could* appear in the match. Starks’ contract is still ongoing as far as it has been reported publicly, but it is intriguing that they’re giving him such high odds.
WWE Legends Falling Behind in Betting Odds
Several iconic WWE superstars are trailing behind Ricky Starks in the betting markets.
AJ Styles (66/1): Despite being a former WWE Champion, Styles’ odds suggest bettors see him as an unlikely victor this year, which makes sense as he has been off television for quite some time and doesn’t have a clear programme right now.
Sheamus (66/1): The Celtic Warrior, who once won the Royal Rumble in 2012, also finds himself outside the top contenders, which again makes sense as he is being used in a mid-card role.
Rey Mysterio (80/1): Even with his Hall of Fame career, Mysterio sits far down the list, making a win improbable in 2025.
The WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting events in professional wrestling. With the Road to WrestleMania looming, fans and bettors are turning their attention to early odds and predictions for this year’s Royal Rumble.
Let’s dive into the current favorites to win based on the latest odds from SkyBet.
Leading the pack is none other than WWE legend John Cena. With odds of 8/15, Cena’s potential return to the WrestleMania main event is generating immense buzz. A Royal Rumble win would mark another milestone in his storied career and set him up for a match against the likes of Gunther or Cody Rhodes at Mania.
Seth Rollins (13/8)
Close behind is Seth Rollins, one of WWE’s most consistent performers. With odds of 13/8, Rollins remains a favorite among fans and bookmakers alike. A win for Rollins could give him the WrestleMania main event spot against Gunther or Cody.
CM Punk and The Rock (6/1)
Two massive names round out the top tier of early favorites. CM Punk, who is looking like a potential shoe-in for the Mania main event this year, and The Rock, whose WWE appearances are always headline-worthy, are tied with odds of 6/1. Either of these iconic stars winning the Rumble wouldn’t be a shock.
Other Contenders to Watch
Roman Reigns (15/2)
Despite dominating WWE for years, Roman Reigns comes in with 15/2 odds. A Rumble win for Reigns would cement his legacy and perhaps kickstart a new chapter for the Tribal Chief, but he isn’t likely to be headlining Mania this year.
Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton (16/1)
Both Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton sit at 16/1 odds. McIntyre is looking to regain momentum, while Orton’s potential return adds intrigue.
Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, and Jey Uso (20/1)
Each of these superstars has odds of 20/1, making them intriguing long-shot picks for the Rumble.

The WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is set to kick off the Road to WrestleMania 41 in spectacular fashion on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This historic event marks the first time the Royal Rumble will take place outside of January, promising an action-packed night filled with surprises, high-stakes drama, and unforgettable moments. As anticipation builds, let’s dive into the predicted match card for this monumental event.
Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble Matches
As always, the cornerstone of the event will be the 30-man and 30-woman Royal Rumble matches, so this is hardly really much of a prediction.
While the full list of participants is yet to be announced, fans can expect a mix of current superstars, returning legends, and possibly a few surprises.
In the men’s match, keep an eye out for potential returnees like Big E, who COULD (while unlikely) make a long-awaited comeback to solidify his position as a top WWE face. For the women’s match, speculation is rife about the possible return of Charlotte Flair, which could dramatically increase her chances of winning.
Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens (Ladder Match)
This has now been confirmed, and it is one of the most anticipated matches of the night. Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a high-stakes Ladder Match.
This match was set up following a series of intense confrontations between the two superstars, including a vicious attack by Owens on Rhodes after their clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The stipulation adds an extra layer of excitement, as both the Undisputed Title and the Winged Eagle Championship will be suspended above the ring.
World Heavyweight Championship: Finn Bálor vs. Gunther
While not officially confirmed, there’s strong speculation that Finn Bálor could challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
This potential clash of styles between the high-flying Bálor and the hard-hitting Gunther could be a show-stealer, offering a different pace from the other matches on the card.
Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan
Rhea Ripley has been dominating the women’s division, and her getting another shot at Liv Morgan at the Royal Rumble seems likely.
There’s a good chance that Ripley will be screwed again here with the two finally meeting for the last time at WrestleMania later in the year.
United States Championship: LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The United States Championship could be on the line in a match between LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Both superstars have been making waves on their respective brands, and a title match at the Royal Rumble could elevate the prestige of the championship further.
Road to WrestleMania Implications
The outcomes of these matches will have significant implications for WrestleMania 41. The winners of the Royal Rumble matches will secure their spots in high-profile championship matches at WWE’s flagship event. Additionally, the results of the title matches could reshape the landscape of WWE heading into the biggest show of the year.
As we approach the event, more matches and participants are likely to be announced. The WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is shaping up to be an unmissable event for wrestling fans worldwide. With its move to Netflix for international markets, this year’s Royal Rumble will reach an even broader audience, potentially ushering in a new era for WWE’s global presence.
Bill Goldberg will compete in his final match in 2025, but fans may still see the WWE Hall of Famer wrestle in a Men’s Royal Rumble match. When speaking to Sportskeeda, Gage Goldberg, Bill’s son, was asked about the WWE Hall of Famer entering next year’s match to earn a future WWE World Championship opportunity.
“He’d definitely do it. He’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy,’ he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.”
Should he compete in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, it’ll mark his third time in the iconic match stipulation. Goldberg made his Rumble debut in 2004, where he entered from the coveted #30 spot. He lasted 2:04 and scored three eliminations before being tossed out by Kurt Angle. In 2017, Goldberg 3:21 and again scored three eliminations, but this time was eliminated by The Undertaker.
The elder Goldberg shared in November that his final match will come in 2025, though stopped short of giving a specific date. At Bad Blood, Goldberg had a confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, leading to speculation that Bill’s final match will be against the Ring General. WWE has yet to follow up on this storyline on TV, with Goldberg instead feuding with Damian Priest and Finn Balor and defeating both to retain his title at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Questions remain about Goldberg’s plans for 2025, but fans shouldn’t be surprised to see him on February 1, at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Goldberg as he embarks on his final year in the ring.
