WWE 2K25 is set to release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game set to release one week early for eager gamers. With a roster of over 300 playable characters, this year’s game will be the literal biggest WWE game of all time, and one that will feature plenty from The Bloodline.
2K has officially unveiled WWE 2K25’s highly anticipated 2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty, offering players an immersive, first-of-its-kind retelling of The Bloodline’s historic rise in WWE.
Narrated by Paul Heyman, this interactive documentary-style mode allows fans to relive iconic matches, rewrite key moments, and even create fantasy showdowns featuring legends from the Anoa’i, Fatu, and Maivia wrestling families.
An Interactive Bloodline Documentary Led by Paul Heyman
In the newly released trailer, Heyman takes center stage as the voice of the first-ever playable Bloodline documentary, guiding players through the triumphs, setbacks, and defining battles of the dynasty.
The mode is divided into three key experiences:
Relive History: Play through legendary matchups such as Yokozuna vs. Hulk Hogan at King of the Ring 1993 and Rocky Maivia vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley on RAW in 1997.
Change History: Rewrite the past by avenging major Bloodline defeats, including Rikishi vs. Stone Cold at No Mercy 2000 and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2022.
Create History: Explore fantasy dream matches that never happened, like The Wild Samoans vs. The Dudley Boyz and High Chief Peter Maivia vs. George “The Animal” Steele.
Unlike previous WWE 2K Showcase modes, all cutscenes will now feature in-game cinematics instead of historical live-action footage, enhancing immersion and authenticity.
A Massive WWE 2K25 Roster with New Additions
Earlier this week, 2K also revealed WWE 2K25 will feature the biggest roster in franchise history, with over 300 playable Superstars. New Bloodline additions include Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, alongside returning legends like The Wild Samoans, The Islanders, and The Headshrinkers. Other first-time additions include Oba Femi, Ethan Page, Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, and Alundra Blayze.

WWE 2K25 will boast the largest roster in a WWE video game in history with over 300 playable characters as well as managers and other personalities. While the game will indeed be bigger than ever, not everyone competing for the promotion has made it into WWE 2K25.
Just three Superstars from WWE’s main roster will not be included in WWE 2K25 when the game hits shelves next month. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) will not be playable at launch. The former WWE Tag Team Champions joined the promotion in late 2024 and have been an intrinsic part of the SmackDown tag team roster ever since.
Penta is the third Superstar who won’t be a part of WWE 2K25 at launch. After a messy exit from AEW, the former Trios and Tag Team Champion arrived in WWE during the January 13, 2025, edition of WWE Raw. Since then, the masked star has quickly grown popular with the WWE Universe and was the Iron-Man in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match after lasting over 42 minutes.
H/T to @SmackTalks for uncovering this stat. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more interesting wrestling facts and statistics.
The exclusion of these three Superstar isn’t about their talent, but rather that the three only arrived recently in WWE, well during the creation of WWE 2K25. Many have predicted that Penta and the Guns will be a part of upcoming DLC for the game.
WWE 2K25 is set to release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game set to release one week early for eager gamers. While Penta and the Guns won’t be available at the start, fans shouldn’t be surprised to see the trio added as fully-fledged playable creations down the line.
Shane McMahon’s run of appearances in WWE video games has ended with WWE 2K25, breaking his streak since WWE 2K16. While WWE 2K25 will boast the largest wrestling video game roster in history, Shane, a former European and Hardcore Champion, is not part of the roster.
Though Shane’s exit marks the end of his streak in WWE video games, the McMahon family are not entirely gone. Stephanie McMahon remains as the sole McMahon family representative, appearing as both a playable character and manager.
The McMahon family’s reduced presence reflects recent changes, particularly regarding Vince McMahon. His appearances in the hit game series ended with WWE 2K24 following serious allegations in early 2024, which complicated that game’s development, especially its 40 Years of WrestleMania mode. Not only was Vince McMahon not a playable character, but WWE and 2K made great efforts to avoid using McMahon in archival footage.
WWE 2K25 is set to release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game set to release one week early for eager gamers. While fans will have the chance to create Shane McMahon as part of the ‘Creation Suite,’ Shane O’Mac won’t be an official part of this year’s instalment in the franchise.
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has confirmed that he is not under contract with WWE, despite being featured in the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game. On X, Bischoff clarified his status with WWE after being announced as part of the playable roster during IGN FanFest.
I receive royalties whenever WWE uses my likeness. It was a part of my original talent agreement and is/was standard language for talent agreements. I have no contract w WWE. Legends or otherwise. https://t.co/syp8dI4l9g
While Bischoff does not have a formal agreement with WWE, the former Raw General Manager has maintained a positive relationship with the promotion. Bischoff was part of the December 3, 2024, episode of WWE NXT but reiterated at the time that he was not signed to any contract.
Bischoff isn’t the only notable name included as a playable character in WWE 2K25. Several stars who were recently released will also be playable including Baron Corbin, Blair Davenport, Cedric Alexander, Sonya Deville, and others. Paul Ellering will not be a playable character but will be a manager option despite his release from WWE.
WWE 2K25 will release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game launching a week earlier on March 7. With WWE 2K Mobile also announced, this year is shaping up to be a massive one for wrestling fans and gamers alike.
WWE 2K25 is set to be the biggest wrestling video game in history with the largest ever roster of over 300 Superstars. While many are returning to the WWE 2K series, some talents are set to make their debut in the upcoming game. They include:
Oba Femi: The reigning WWE NXT Champion, Oba Femi is known for his brutal and dominating style in the ring, making his much-anticipated debut in WWE 2K25.
Lexis King: NXT’s Heritage Cup Champion has quickly asserted himself as a top act in the silver act and will now carry on the Pillman legacy in WWE video games.
Jacob Fatu: The high-flying powerhouse and member of the legendary Anoa’i family, Jacob Fatu brings his explosive energy and intimidating presence to the WWE 2K25 universe.
Ethan Page: The former WWE NXT Champion was part of AEW’s first console game, Fight Forever, and will now make his WWE 2K debut.
Je’Von Evans: Ethan Page’s current rival in WWE NXT, the Young OG will bring his gravity-defying offense to the roster of the upcoming game.
Charlie Dempsey: The No Quarter Catch Crew member will bring his hard-hitting, no nonsense style to the world of WWE 2K25.
Ava: The NXT General Manager will make her WWE 2k debut in a major way by being a part of the Bloodline Showcase mode in the upcoming game.
Tama Tonga/Tonga Loa: The Tongas have proven to be ones to watch since arriving in WWE in 2024 and fans can expect that to continue in their WWE 2K25 debut.
Jaida Parker: The up-and-comer of WWE NXT, Jaida Parker will make her debut in this game, giving fans a chance to pit Parker against some of WWE’s biggest names.
Tatum Paxley: After playing a key part of the NXT/TNA crossover in 2024, Tatum Paxley will bring her unique personality to the WWE 2K25 roster.
Eddy Thope: One of the fastest rising names in WWE NXT, Eddy Thorpe will be one to play as when WWE 2K25 launches in March.
Elektra Lopez: Lopez’s inclusion in WWE 2K25 is historic in an unfortunate way, as she is making her debut in the game after already being released by the company.
Nick Aldis: The SmackDown General Manager will be a manager in WWE 2K25, allowing fans the chance to benefit from the former TNA World Champion.
WWE 2K25 will release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game launching a week earlier on March 7. With WWE 2K Mobile also announced, this year is shaping up to be a massive one for wrestling fans and gamers alike.
WWE released several names from its roster in recent weeks, but those cut from the company aren’t entirely gone just yet. Instead, several names who’ve been given the dreaded pink slip will still be playable as part of WWE 2K25.
Released talent who will be playable in WWE 2K25 include:
Duke Hudson
Akam
Rezar
Blair Davenport
Cedric Alexander
Luke Gallows
Karl Anderson
Giovanni Vinci
Sonya Deville
Isla Dawn
Elektra Lopez
Paul Ellering was also among those released from WWE. While the Hall of Famer/Final Testament alum won’t be a playable character in WWE 2K25, he will be a non-playable manager in the game.
The inclusion of these released Superstars demonstrate how quickly things can change in WWE. While these talents hoped that WWE 2K25 would just be the latest in a series of games they would be a part of, next month’s instalment will most likely be the last time they are playable in a WWE video game.
These released talents will be part of the largest roster in the history of WWE video games with stars from the past and present. With over 300 names confirmed for the game, in addition to Wyatt Sicks-themed DLC, fans will be able to recreate their favorite matches or create never-before-seen contests in the upcoming game.
WWE 2K25 will release on March 14, with the Deadman and Bloodline Editions of the game launching a week earlier on March 7. With WWE 2K Mobile also announced, this year is shaping up to be a massive one for wrestling fans and gamers alike.

WWE 2K25 boasts the largest-ever roster in a WWE video game, giving fans more opportunities than ever before to relive iconic matches and create never-before-seen shows of their own. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WWE 2K25 ahead of the game’s release on March 7.
The wrestling gaming community’s long wait is nearly over, as the complete roster reveal for WWE 2K25 will take place on Monday, February 17, during IGN Fan Fest. This announcement follows several weeks of partial roster reveals that have already-confirmed 140+ wrestlers for the upcoming title.
The latest installment in the WWE 2K franchise is promising its most extensive roster yet, with over 300 playable characters – a substantial increase from its predecessor’s 250 wrestlers. Among the confirmed additions, 24 superstars will make their video game debuts, including fan favorites Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Naomi.
During the full roster reveal, fans can expect to learn the remaining unannounced characters, complete wrestler ratings, and the confirmation of additional legends and NXT talent. Currently, only a select number of superstar ratings have been made public.
WWE 2K25 launches on March 14, 2025, though Deadman and Bloodline Edition purchasers will gain early access starting March 7. Pre-order customers will receive the exclusive Wyatt Sicks Pack, featuring five additional playable characters.
WWE 2K25 is set to hit shelves in March 2025, and the game will feature exciting branded items as part of a partnership with Nike. Nike products will be available in The Island, a brand-new open world playable mode exclusive to WWE 2K25.
In addition to Nike, brands including Jordan and the WWE Shop will bring a real-world flair to the video game, allowing players to personalize their look.
Brands confirmed for The Island include:
Chalk Line
DSYF
Free & Easy
iSlide
Jordan
MSCHF
Nike
Puma
StayCool NYC
Tuff Crowd
WWE Shop – A Fanatics Experience
The inclusion of real-life brands will help make WWE 2K25 the most realistic WWE game to date, with fans excited about the never-before-seen The Island mode. Any item unlocked in The Island will also be made available in the main game as part of the ‘Create A Superstar’ mode.
WWE 2K25’s The Island mode will be available to access once the game launches on March 7, and is only available for New Gen on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WWE 2K25 ahead of next month’s exciting release.
Paul Heyman has introduced a brand new online multiplayer mode for the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game dubbed ‘The Island.’
The Wiseman introduced the new game mode during the latest Sony State of Play presentation. The online open world experience seems to be similar to ‘The City’ seen in NBA 2K games, with up to 50 players being able to enter and interact with each other at once:
“With The Island, players enter an online environment filled with WWE-themed landmarks, quests, live events, and shops with up to 50 other players at a time.
The Island also offers deep customization, giving players the chance to personalize their MySuperstars like never before. As the first of its kind for the franchise, The Island is not just an addition; it’s a bold step toward the future,”
The preview footage also showed attractions based on popular superstars such as Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley as well as an area titled the Hall of Legends.
This is not the only thing Heyman is involved with in regards to the upcoming game. The advocate will be providing introductions for all 2K25 showcase mode matches highlighting the various Anoa’i family members.
WWE 2K25 is set to release on March 14, with early access to players pre ordering the Deluxe editions from March 7. The new game mode will unfortunately be only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has sparked speculation about a possible TNA Wrestling DLC pack for WWE 2K25. During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hendry suggested that such an addition could be beneficial for both companies and, most importantly, the fans.
“Something that would be wonderful for both companies and most importantly the fans—can you imagine if we had TNA DLC? That would be huge,” Hendry said.
“That’s not just the modern roster like myself. That could be classic AJ Styles. That would be exciting.”
While WWE 2K25 is set to feature five DLC packs, only one has been revealed – the Wyatt Sicks Pack featuring Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan, available to gamers who pre-order.
Historically, WWE Games’ DLC offerings have been met with mixed reactions. The WWE 2K20 DLC, which included alternate universe arenas and reimagined wrestlers, faced criticism from fans. More recently, the Pat McAfee and Friends pack in WWE 2K24 also drew controversy, with some arguing that McAfee’s associates took spots that could have gone to NXT talent.
WWE 2K25 is scheduled for release on March 14, with early access available on March 7 for those who pre-order premium editions.
WWE 2K25’s gameplay trailer gives a first look at many of the new additions, including the Bloodline showcase mode, Intergender gameplay, Bloodline Rules, and Underground matches.
Do you “believe” that Joe Hendry could appear as a character in Fortnite? Some gamers have apparently been saying his name and the TNA World Champion has been taking notice.
Many pro wrestling fans have been clamoring for Hendry to appear in the 2025 Royal Rumble and sure enough, Hendry did, sharing the ring with the likes of The Miz, Sheamus and ‘The Tribal Chief’ himself, Roman Reigns. Now the next move for Hendry could be as another entry in a different type of ‘Battle Royale.’
Gamers of both Fortnite and Player Unknown Battle Ground have been making a play to have Joe Hendry become a playable character in either game and Hendry took to his X account to thank the fans and also, give them a little hope.
“Thank you to the @FortniteGame and @PUBGM_Europe fanbases for the support recently.
“If enough people say my name, maybe I’ll appear….”
Other WWE Stars (Not Named Joe Hendry) In Fortnite
If Hendry did indeed happen to pop up in Fortnite, he’d be joining some very notable names in WWE. John Cena, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and even The Rock have all been featured skins to use on Fortnite. This potential gaming crossover would be particularly significant as it would make Hendry one of the first non-WWE wrestlers to appear in Fortnite, marking a major milestone for TNA Wrestling’s mainstream visibility.
People have particularly noted how perfect a Joe Hendry “clapping” emote would be to use in the game. With how unique the Hendry persona is, he’d certainly fit the wild pop culture playground that the Fortnite game has become. It’s currently unknown as to if Joe Hendry would be a playable character in the forthcoming WWE 2K25, but a lot of news has been released regarding the game this week.
WWE 2K25 will hit shelves this March and fans are eager to see how the latest instalment in the franchise plays. Given the special ‘Bloodline Edition’ of the game, the Anoa’i family will be a huge part of WWE 2K25, including in the Showcase Mode.
The mode will follow several members of the Anoa’i family, including ones outside of the popular Bloodline storyline. Matches confirmed for the mode include:
Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins – WWE Royal Rumble 2022
Nia Jax Vs. Lyra Valkyria – WWE King And Queen of the Ring 2024
The Wild Samoans (with Captain Lou Albano) Vs. The Dudley Boyz
These three matches highlight various members of the Anoa’i family, even if the tag-team match never actually happened. For the entire Showcase Mode, Paul Heyman is on hand to introduce the matches, helping to build the atmosphere and set the tone before each bout.
Nia Jax will be represented as part of the Bloodline Showcase Mode.
WWE 2K25’s Showcase Mode will mark a major change from previous Showcases in WWE video games. These changes include:
Entrances: For the first time since WWE 2K17, entrances are back in a Showcase Mode. Introductions are back as well.
Commentary: This year’s Showcase will feature specific commentary for wrestlers during their entrances. Commentary during matches is also back.
Cutscenes: Cutscenes leading from one sequence in the gameplay to the next are back, and are skippable. Previous games included the ‘Slingshot’ approach in which gameplay was spliced with real-life footage from WWE’s past events.
What If Scenarios: Players will be able to take history in a different direction, such as having Roman Reigns beat Seth Rollins at the 2022 Royal Rumble.
WWE 2K25 is shaping up to be another exciting instalment in the franchise, one that will see plenty from the Anoa’i family. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WWE 2K25 ahead of the game’s release on March 14.
More characters have been confirmed for WWE 2K25, the latest installment in the WWE 2K video game franchise. The Wild Samoans, Captain Lou Albano, and Alundra Blayze (1994 version) will be included in the game.
The Wild Samoans—Afa and Sika Anoa’i—were a legendary tag team known for their savage in-ring style, unorthodox tactics, and primal energy. As members of the Anoa’i wrestling family, their influence extends beyond their own careers, having trained and mentored future generations of WWE stars, including Roman Reigns, The Usos, Rikishi, and Yokozuna. They were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
Alundra Blayze was a trailblazer in women’s wrestling, competing in AWA and All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling before joining WWE. She revitalized the women’s division in the 1990s, becoming the first Women’s Champion in several years and engaging in a memorable feud with Bull Nakano. In 1995, she made headlines when she left WWE to go to WCW while still WWE Women’s Champion, famously dropping the title into a trash can on live television. This was a moment that became an iconic one of the Monday Night War. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
WWE 2K25 is set to launch on March 14, 2025, with the Standard Edition. Fans who purchase The Deadman Edition or The Bloodline Edition will receive early access starting on March 7, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Roman Reigns is the cover star of the Standard Edition, while The Undertaker graces the cover of the Deadman Edition.
WWE 2K25 will launch on consoles and PC this March, but that won’t be the only WWE game released this year. As part of the #NextOnNetflix announcements, Netflix Games has shared that WWE 2K is coming to mobile devices. In a video, CM Punk shared news of the creation of WWE 2K Mobile which will hit devices in the Fall of 2025.
WWE 2K Mobile is the latest landmark on WWE’s lucrative multi-year partnership with Netflix. In January 2025, Monday Night Raw premiered on the streaming juggernaut with a blockbuster event featuring Roman Reigns, The Rock, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and more. Fans outside of the United States have also been able to watch SmackDown, WWE NXT, and Premium Live Events on Netflix.
WWE 2K Mobile will launch just months after the release of WWE 2K25 which will hit shelves on March 14, 2025. For eager fans, the Deadman Edition and Bloodline Edition of the video game will be playable one week earlier on March 7. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on WWE 2K Mobile ahead of its launch later this year.
WWE 2K25 is set to spotlight The Bloodline like never before, including a special 2K Showcase and a Bloodline Edition of the upcoming game. The Showcase will honor the lengthy journey of the Bloodline from its inception in 2020 to the modern day.
The Bloodline is now led by Solo Sikoa, who in an interview with Bleacher Report, said it was “pretty cool,” to be on his first WWE 2K cover. Looking to the future, Sikoa confidently predicted that this is the start of things to come.
“I will be featured on the next cover and the next cover after that.”
The Bloodline story has proven to be one of WWE’s most compelling narratives in years, and has elevated the likes of Sikoa, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and others. After previously serving as Roman Reigns’ right-hand man, Solo intends to elevate Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu under his iteration of the faction.
At Survivor Series: WarGames, Sikoa’s take on the Bloodline (joined by Bronson Reed) came up short against Roman Reigns’ Bloodline and unlikely ally CM Punk. In WWE 2K25, Sikoa will have the chance to replay the game, and is eager to rewrite history.
“Yeah, I think the new Bloodline wins. We lay everybody out. Of course, I wanna run it back. Hell, I wanna run it back Friday and Monday and we’ll run it back Friday again.”
WWE 2K25 will also include an ‘Island Mode,’ an interactive open-world experience where players attempt to earn a place in Reigns’ Bloodline. In the interview, Sikoa named his relative, former Women’s Champion Nia Jax as someone he could see fitting in his version of The Bloodline.
Despite losing the title of Tribal Chief to Reigns on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix, Sikoa remains optimistic about his future. In the interview, Solo declared himself for the Royal Rumble match and like many, vowed to win this weekend’s 30-Man contest.
“Solo winning the Royal Rumble. Solo going on to main event WrestleMania, baby.”

WWE 2K25’s Deadman Edition and Bloodline Edition are set for worldwide release on March 7, 2025.
The standard edition will follow on March 14, 2025, giving fans multiple ways to celebrate the dominance of The Bloodline.
Roman Reigns and The Bloodline have taken center stage in WWE 2k25, and Paul Heyman, ever the advocate, sees this as nothing short of well-deserved recognition. In an exclusive interview with Variety, Heyman shared his thoughts on the game’s focus on Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, calling it a pivotal moment for their legacy.
The standard edition cover of WWE 2k25 prominently features Reigns with Heyman at ringside, while the special Bloodline Edition highlights members of both Reigns’ and Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline factions. This includes Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Heyman, Sami Zayn, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, all symbolically united through the family tree of wrestling’s most dominant dynasty.
“It’s truly a reaffirming moment for The Bloodline and the members within The Bloodline that Roman Reigns and I are on the cover of this video game,” Heyman told Variety.
“It’s a mainstream acknowledgment of the contributions to the entire sports entertainment industry by the Tribal Chief and his Wiseman. It’s an encapsulation of this moment in time in which the disruption of the entire industry by Roman Reigns is hereby acknowledged.”
Pre=Order WWE 2K25
A Dynamic Gaming Experience
Beyond the striking covers, WWE 2k25 integrates The Bloodline’s legacy into its gameplay. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions introduce The Island, an immersive mode where players can explore, complete challenges, and compete in live events. The ultimate goal is to earn a WWE contract by impressing the “Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and potentially joining The Bloodline.
The 2k Showcase, titled The Bloodline Dynasty, celebrates the Anoa’i family’s influence on professional wrestling. Hosted by Heyman, the mode includes legends such as Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Yokozuna. Players can relive iconic matches or change history by flipping the outcomes of pivotal moments.
Heyman’s Surprising Role
Heyman admitted to Variety that hosting The Bloodline Dynasty was not a role he ever envisioned for himself.
“I’m a fat bald Jewish kid from the Bronx,” he said, marveling at the unexpected twist in his career. Still, he views his role as a reflection of WWE’s bond with its audience. “The audience will embrace the wisdom as bestowed upon them by ‘The Wiseman,’” Heyman said.
When asked if this marks the start of a new video game-focused era for him, Heyman joked but aimed high: “I hope you are dramatically understating my impact on the video game world, the disruption within, and the billions of dollars in stock options I hope to be offered by both TKO and TTWO, which is the parent company of 2k Sports.”
Wrestling’s Mainstream Ascension
Heyman also commented on WWE’s broader cultural impact, referencing Monday Night Raw’s recent move to Netflix. He sees this as another milestone in WWE’s evolution from niche entertainment to pop culture dominance.
“We’re no longer a boutique industry,” Heyman told Variety. “We’re driving pop culture now, and with the fact that Roman Reigns is the undisputed top box office attraction, the number one star in the entire industry, and his Wiseman, are driving these cultural phenomena, I would suggest the youth of this world is in very good hands right now.”
With WWE 2k25, The Bloodline’s influence transcends the ring, solidifying their place in sports entertainment history and pop culture. Stay tuned to SEScoops for more updates.
