All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has announced that Dustin Rhodes will be in action during next week’s episode of Dynamite. The promotion uploaded a Tweet showcasing a tag team match that will take place on Wednesday. Dustin Rhodes will team with Hangman Page against Sammy Guevara and current AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
“Just signed for #AEWDynamite this Wed, Oct 9th LIVE 8/7c on @tntdrama from Boston’s @AgganisArena – @theAdamPage & @dustinrhodes vs #AEW World Champ @IAmJericho & @sammyguevara”
Dynamite
During the ending of Dynamite’s premiere on TNT this past Wednesday, Dustin Rhodes ran into the ring to help his brother, Cody, and The Young Bucks. They were being attacked by Jericho, Santina & Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and a debuting Jake Hager (formerly WWE’s Jack Swagger).
This assault took place after the show’s six-man tag team main event, which The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega lost. Omega had previously been taken out of the match by Jon Moxley, who put him through a glass table.
With Dustin wanting revenge for the attack against his brother, and Hangman Page having history with Chris Jericho, there’s plenty of emotional stakes heading into this match.
Sammy Guevara came up short in his efforts against Cody during the first-ever televised match on Dynamite, so he will also have something to prove as he aligns himself with the AEW World Champion.
