TV viewership numbers are in for Wednesday’s AEW Blood and Guts special.
The May 5th edition of AEW Dynamite averaged 1.090 million viewers and did a 0.42 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic. For the first time ever, AEW Dynamite was the most-watched show on cable for the day. The numbers come courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily.
Looking at the demographic breakdown, Dynamite drew a 0.58 rating in the males 18-49 demographic, more than doubling the next-closest competitor in that demo.
By comparison, last week’s AEW Dynamite did 889,000 Viewers and a 0.33 demo rating. Monday’s Raw did 1.872 million viewers with a 0.53 rating. Dynamite actually topped the third hour of Monday’s Raw in the Men 18-49 demographic (Raw: 0.55).
AEW looks to keep the momentum next week, with the following matches already confirmed for the 5/12 Dynamite:
- Miro challenges Darby Allin for the TNT Championship
- PAC vs. Orange Cassidy in a #1 contender’s match. The winner challenges AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing later this month.
- AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. SCU.
