AEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho filed for two new wrestling-related trademarks earlier this week. .
Using the Florida-based business entity Chris Irvine, Inc., the top dog of All Elite Wrestling has filed to protect the phrases, “The Painmaker” and “The Inner Circle.”
The Painmaker is the dark alter ego Jericho most recently summed during his title defense against Darby Allin on AEW Dynamite last week. The Inner Circle is Jericho’s new faction in AEW comprised of Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz.
The new trademarks list the following uses, “Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, live, televised and movie appearances by a professional entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.”
AEW Dynamite Replay Tonight
Several readers have sent in word that a replay of this week’s AEW Dynamite episode will air tonight on TNT from 8-10pm ET.
Coincidentally, the Dynamite replay goes head-to-head with WWE Friday Night SmackDown, which airs on FS1 tonight.
AEW has since confirmed the news, adding that the episode will feature ‘bonus footage’ from after Dynamite went off the air.
