Coming on the heels of AEW’s ‘MMA’ fight between their two bulls Hager and Wardlow, fighting legend Cris Cyborg has spoken up and potentially laid down a challenge to AEW star Thunder Rosa.
The scripted MMA fight between Hager and Wardlow has drawn mixed reviews. Yet, it caught the attention of Cris Cyborg. The current Bellator Featherweight champion took to Twitter to ask whether or not the promotion would hold a women’s MMA fight. Quickly calling out Thunder Rose, who is active in both wrestling and MMA circles.
Thunder Rosa wasted no time in responding. With the forbidden door open and so many stars straddling both sports these days, it is not inconceivable to think a match like this could happen.
Could Cris Cyborg Make the Jump to Professional Wrestling?
With a professional record of 22-2, Cris Cyborg is a seasoned warrior. Especially when you think that one of her losses came in her first-ever fight. There is a world of difference between MMA and professional wrestling, but it has been done before.
Whether Cyborg’s looking to set herself a new challenge, or just after a once time fight remains to be seen.
Two things for sure are that Cris Cyborg versus Thunder Rosa would be fun to watch under any circumstance. Secondly, Dr Britt Baker will be fuming that she isn’t the one being called out.
