Jon Moxley Thinks His Bout With Kenny Omega At Full Gear Is Money Match

Jon Moxley is high on his Full Gear match.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Jon Moxley was recently interviewed by Yahoo! Sports to talk about several topics.

Moxley is slated to take on Kenny Omega at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event. This comes after their original match at the All Out event in August was nixed due to Moxley dealing with a staph infection in his elbow.

According to Moxley, he thinks this is the money match of the card.

“I’d say this is definitely the money match right now. You can tell when there’s a spark between two guys in the ring and there’s this combustible energy, an electricity you can feel. Our lives intersecting at this exact moment, it’s hugely fortunate for all involved. It seems like fate.”

Omega cut a promo in storyline about Moxley pulling out of their original match. Moxley was replaced by PAC at the show, who went over Omega.

For Moxley, he thinks it was a great creative thing for the promotion and something that they used heading into Full Gear. He sees it as a scenario where a curveball was thrown at them and that allowed them to make it a real situation that can go in any direction.

Moxley continued, “You don’t have to worry about going through red tape, using big words, reading a paragraph or something like that. If you have something to say in AEW, you just say it. Now we’ve got this legitimate thing that happened and it’s become part of the story now. It’s pretty cool. You can’t write it.

We could have sat in a room and thought, man how do we make this match even bigger. We could have never figured out a way that was as good as almost killing me with a staph infection and taking the match away.”

AEW holds the Full Gear pay-per-view event this Saturday at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
