The Elite Talks AEW TV Deal, Touring Schedule, More

All Elite Wrestling is gearing up for its first live event in just two months, Double or Nothing. AEW has been making waves this year, rolling out announcements about talent acquisitions, live events, merchandise. One crucial piece of the puzzle still under wraps is the television deal. How will fans be able to watch AEW TV when it premiers later this year?

The original Elite trio of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks appeared at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment expo over the weekend. During the appearance, they commented on what fans can expect from the AEW product.

First, Nick Jackson talked about the company’s touring schedule, saying that they are going to be a touring brand but not as crazy as WWE because a lot of wrestlers in the company have families.

While explaining AEW’s TV presence, Kenny Omega claimed that there are plans that have already been set in motion but it doesn’t mean that they can’t be expanded upon.

He went on to claim that they will still welcome ideas and feedback from fans because it’s for them in the end.

The talks then shifted towards the contracts they will be offering and when asked if they will be exclusive like WWE, Matt Jackson explained that it will be dependent on the wrestler because there are talents they wouldn’t want to catch ring rust.

Jumping in, Kenny explained that they will eventually have a full-time schedule and he imagines that most of the people will be with them full time.

AEW’s future on television remains a mystery, but there is a strong chance we’ll get the first official details in mid May, when television networks hold their next round of “upfronts” previewing their fall lineups.
