The conclusion of AEW New Year’s Smash (Night 1) saw the shocking reunion of the Bullet Club. It was the latest chapter in a fast-moving shake-up of the professional wrestling landscape led by Kenny Omega and Don Callis.
Omega recently crossed over to Impact Wrestling and aligned himself with former partners, The Good Brothers (Gallows & Anderson). The trio are set to main event Impact’s next pay-per-view, Hard to Kill. Their opponents will be Impact World Champion Rich Swan and the Motor City Machine Guns.
At Dynamite, the ‘reunion’ came more into focus. Following Omega’s successful title defense over Rey Fenix, Jon Moxley came out. Mox had a barbed wire baseball bat and sought revenge on the man who beat him for the AEW title. Gallows & Anderson appeared and provided backup for The Cleaner. A brawl ensued, with additional AEW talent joining the fray.
AEW World tag team champions The Young Bucks hit the ring, but they soon revealed their true intentions. Nick and Matt Jackson aligned with Omega, Gallows and Anderson. Dynamite went off the air with the former Bullet Club members embracing in the middle of the ring with their famous “2 sweet” hand gesture.
Backstage after the show, the guys posed for this photo:
Bullet Club reunion in AEW
Bullet Club Reunion in AEW
This reunion of Bullet Club members solidifies that this is a bold new direction for AEW. It will likely be be one of the company’s top storylines in the months ahead. It also poses several interesting questions to consider as we look ahead:
Jon Moxley is the current target of Omega and company. He has been a longer in AEW thus far. However, there are strength in numbers. Who could Moxley against this dangerous ‘new’ faction?
Where do former Club members Hangman Page and Cody Rhodes fit into the equation?
The ‘club’ now has a presence in multiple promotions, including AEW, Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Could this angle be the next step signaling a working relationship with NJPW?
Perhaps the biggest question is how this new faction relates to the current incarnation of the actual Bullet Club. The organization’s members currently include NJPW stars Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Bad Luck Fale, KENTA, El Phantasmo, Dick Togo, Jado, Taiji Ishimori and more.
What do you think about the Bullet Club reunion in AEW? Let us know in the comments section.
At the conclusion of this week’s AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega, Anderson & Gallows and the Young Bucks closed the show by reuniting and sharing the “2 Sweet” hand signature. It was a reunion of 5 wrestlers who all ran as members of Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling from 2013 to 2018.
“Machine Gun” Karl Anderson is one of the 4 founding members of the group. Prince Devitt, Bad Luck Fale, and Tama Tonga are the 3 others. Doc Gallows would join later in 2013, as would the Young Bucks. Kenny Omega would arrive in late 2014 and would wrestle in the Junior Heavyweight division until AJ Styles left in 2016 and he moved to heavyweight.
Bullet Club original Tama Tonga reacted to the reunion in AEW. He tweeted after Dynamite:
Tama Tonga tweeted the following about the Bullet club’s presence on Tuesday’s Impact Wrestling on AXS TV. He thinks that any incarnation of the Bullet Club that does not include the Tongans is illegitimate.
At this point, it’s only BulletClub when the Tongans are in it. Anything else is just guys that wished they were back in BulletClub https://t.co/8wnwlybt7y
Tama Tonga and brother Tanga Lao, known as the Guerrillas of Destiny, captured the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships for a record 7th time earlier this week at Wrestle Kingdom 15.
The Guerrillas of Destiny have defended the title 9x thus far across their 7 title reigns. They need to win one more IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match to tie both Cho-Ten and Tencozy for the record of 17 combined title victories + title defenses.
Snoop Dogg got physical during his appearance at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
The rap legend was on hand to promote Go-Big Show, the new talent competition show that premieres Thursday on TBS. Snoop and Cody Rhodes are two of the celebrity judges.
Snoop Dogg accompanied Cody Rhodes to the ring for his match against Matt Sydall. Cody was victorious, but Luther and Serpentico hit the ring after the match and attacked the babyfaces.
Cody and Sydall eventually got the upper hand and then Snoop got physically involved. Snoop climbed the top rope and delivered a big splash onto Serpentico.
They counted the three and Snoop celebrated his big ‘win.’

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Darby Allin came out with the new TNT Championship belt. The belt design is very similar, except the strap is now black instead of red.
Darby Allin defends the TNT tile next week at New Year’s Smash (Night 2) against “The Machine” Brian Cage.
Darby Allin is the 3rd man to hold the prestigious belt after Cody Rhodes and the late Brodie Lee.
Brodie Lee Jr. (aka -1 of the Dark Order) was all over AEW Dark last night. He was involved in a pull-apart with Marko Stunt, cut a vicious promo on Luther, and accompanied his Dark Order teammates to the ring.
-1’s Mother clarified recently on Instagram, that her son’s AEW contract will not begin until he is 18 years old, however.
Amanda Huber also reiterated that if Brodie doesn’t want to wrestle when he gets older, he will not be pressured to. She also noted that school is his top priority right now.
Brodie Jr. was also recently in the ring with WWE Superstars Liv Morgan and Tyson Kidd. Footage of their training is available in Amanda Huber’s post below:
“His contract with AEW is valid on his 18th birthday *if* he chooses to wrestle. Nobody is going to push it with him. If you were to spend 10 minutes talking to him you’d understand why they gave him a contract though,” Amanda said in her post. She also said that school is his top priority.
“He is not seriously training at the moment or will be taking bookings or anything ridiculous right now,” she continued.
“You think you’re so smart because you got a stupid red ball on your head?” -1 said. “I know what I know because I have a brain, not a stupid red ball. You have a ball on your face… your face just looks stupid. And Dark Order will always beat you.”
Brodie Lee Jr., also known as Dark Order member -1, has really been making an impact in AEW as of late. On this week’s AEW Dark, he confronted Marko Stunt and was involved in a tense pull-apart. -1 would later cut a promo on Luther and lead his Dark Order teammates to the ring as well.
Marko Stunt came to the ring as Excalibur explained on commentary that a heated rivalry between him and -1 has been building. Stunt was immediately interrupted by the Dark Order member who still hasn’t been alive for a full decade yet. -1 explained to Marko that when he’s older and the two of them wrestle, he’ll be much taller.
-1 Brodie Lee Jr & @realmarkostunt finally meet. FACE TO FACE!
“You think you’re so smart because you got a stupid red ball on your head?” -1 said. “I know what I know because I have a brain, not a stupid red ball. You have a ball on your face… your face just looks stupid. And Dark Order will always beat you.”
Amazingly, Tony Khan would later reveal that -1 was coming up with his promos himself.
“Brodie wrote that promo himself. I asked him what he wanted to say about Marko, and he said all of that off the top of his head, it was incredible, I told him to please please go out and do that. -1 is really something,” Khan Tweeted.
Likely not impressed with Jungle Boy’s new music are the members of FTR. On Dynamite as of late, the team has expressed disdain for the amount of attention the dinosaur-themed trio gets. The two teams will face off on Night 2 of AEW New Year’s Smash next week.
As of the last AEW Rankings on December 23rd, 2020, FTR are ranked #1 and Jurassic Express occupy the #3 position. The winning team next week could find themselves in a position to challenge for the AEW tag-team championships.
The official music video for the 35-year-old classic song can be found in the player below:
AEW President Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone returned to Impact on AXS TV this week with another sponsored ad spot. Khan said they are continuing the holiday spirit of helping the less fortunate by funding Impact with the paid ad.
Schiavone ran down the card for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. It will be the first night of a 2-week special, New Year’s Smash.
Tony Khan then denied Don Callis’ claim that he was partially responsible for the formation of AEW. Khan said that he was the man responsible for AEW’s funding, resources, television relationships, booking, hiring talent and more.
Khan told Callis, “You do nothing for the wrestling business. You’re a parasite on this business.” The Tony’s will be back on Impact next week with another ad, and he’ll pay for the air time with a $100 bill his grandmother sent him for Christmas. Tony Schiavone’s reaction to this line was priceless.

Kenny Omega, Don Callis and The Good Brothers also appeared on Impact on AXS TV. They hyped their upcoming match at Hard to Kill on January 16th.
Omega, Gallows and Anderson addressed their opponents, Impact World Champion Rich Swan and the Motor City Machine Guns. Omega said those guys are teammates for now, but they’re not family like Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers.
The gang said they are Bullet Club for life. Watch the promo below:
Jim Cornette recently weighed in on the AEW/Chris Jericho and NBA Twitter fanbase and why NBA fans decided to body shame Chris Jericho.
A recent episode of AEW Dynamite was pre-empted by an NBA game. The December 23rd episode of Dynamite followed on from a game that went into overtime and some NBA fans decided to watch the opening AEW match.
That match saw Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) take on the Inner Circle tandem of MJF and Chris Jericho. With Jericho being arguably the biggest mainstream name in AEW? Fans were quick to mention how different he looked from when he appeared in WWE during the ‘heyday’ of 2001-2005.
Jim Cornette on Chris Jericho
“Why is anybody surprised?” Jim Cornette would begin on the Drive Thru podcast. “This is another thing that I’ve been saying for a long, long time. Whether you like it or not. Chris Jericho is the biggest mainstream name recognition star in AEW, specifically because of his years and years spent with the WWE. That was when their ratings were much higher than they are now.”
“It’s not because he had a match at the Tokyo Dome a couple of years ago” Cornette continued. “It’s not because he’s with AEW now. It’s not because he was with WCW in 1998, it’s because he was a big star on WWE TV for a significant period of time; when they were doing much better ratings themselves than they are now. That’s just math and common sense.”

FTR has decided to do something pretty cool to honor Jon Huber, who passed away last month due to a non-COVID-related lung issue.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood plan to change the name of their signature move as a way to remember Brodie Lee.
Harwood took to Twitter to announce the name change and mentioned that he got the permission of Amanda Huber, Lee’s wife, to do so. He wrote the following:
“After speaking with Amanda, and getting her blessing, we have decided to change the name of The Goodnight Express to “Big Rig”. This is our way of keeping a bit of his legacy alive in professional wrestling. We love you, Brodie. Can’t wait to see you again.”
Before making the jump to AEW from WWE, the move was called The Shatter Machined. Also, since joining the rival promotion, the tag team changed their finisher to a Spike Piledriver.
AEW did a tribute show for Lee on last week’s episode of Dynamite, which was watched by 9777,000 fans.
As of this writing, AEW has yet to book FTR in a match on this Wednesday’s special edition of Dynamite, which is being billed as New Year’s Smash and already has a stacked card.
Matt Hardy has released a video explaining why the Hardy Boyz are the greatest tag team in pro wrestling history. Matt says he and Jeff will hold tag team gold once again. He also slams WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for attempting to “confuse the marketplace” with the Hardy Bros. tag team.
Matt calls himself the most innovative and creative trailblazer in all of pro wrestling history. He is the brains, the captain, the manager and the motivation behind the greatest tag team ever – and he’s got the evidence to back it up.
Hardy Boyz: #GTTOAT
The Hardy Boyz are the only tag team in history to hold World Tag Team Championships from WWE, WCW, Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling.
There are several other teams that are in the conversation for Greatest Tag Team of All Time. Hardy named the Road Warriors, The Rock and Roll Express, the Young Bucks and even The New Day.
However, the Hardy Boyz are more popular than them all. Aside from being tag team legends, Matt and Jeff have both held multiple world championships as singles competitors.
Matt claims it is a ‘documented fact’ that the Hardy Boyz have sold more merchandise than any team in history. In 2000, the the team made 20x their WWE downside guarantees because they sold so much merchandise.
The Hardy Boyz are still 100% healthy and in their prime of their careers. Matt assures viewers that he and Jeff will hold championship gold together once again.
Matt Hardy Slams Vince McMahon & The Hardy Bros.
Matt then turned his attention to Vince McMahon and the new Hardy Bros. tag team. He says McMahon is so obsessed with the greatness, success and popularity of the Hardy Boyz that he’s ripped them off with the Hardy Bros.
WWE has paired Jeff Hardy with another “Matt” (Riddle) in an effort to confuse the marketplace recreate the magic of the originals.
Matt Hardy says the Hardy Bros. will not be successful. He says the Fake Razor Ramon and Fake Diesel had a better chance of getting over than the Hardy Bros.
British artist David Speed has created an amazing mural honoring the late Brodie Lee (Jon Huber). Lee recently passed away due to a lung disease unrelated to Covid-19.
Speed noted on Twitter that he does not post any wrestling content on his social media channels, but was compelled to create this work and share it with his followers because he found the Brodie Lee tribute episode of AEW Dynamite so moving.
The mural has received unanimous praise online from the wrestling community.
In the second page of the Instagram post embedded below, you can see video footage of Speed creating the work.
Bravo, Mr. Speed.
David Speed co-hosts the popular Creative Rebels business podcast.
Moxley appeared from the NJPW dojo in Los Angeles, California to declare that he is ready to defend his championship.
“Many men have vied for that US title contract,” he said. “They all thought they would get off easy. They all hoped and prayed that the United States Heavyweight Champion would never return. But I am the boogeyman and New Japan Pro Wrestling, I will get you eventually.”
Moxley finished by saying, “So, whoever walks out of the Tokyo Dome with that contract, make no mistake about it. I’m comin’ for ya.”

Brian Pillman Jr. has been teaming with Griff Garrison in AEW as of late. The team is now going by the name “The Varsity Blondes.” Pillman is also still with MLW although his time with that promotion could be coming to an end later this year.
Pillman recently relinquished the OVW Heavyweight Championship due to his AEW commitments. This was announced recently through the promotion’s social media accounts:
“OVW Heavyweight Champion Brian Pillman Jr, effectively immediately, will be vacating his OVW Heavyweight Championship. Because of his growing relationship with AEW his obligations have grown to a point where he cannot maintain the responsibilities attached to the OVW Heavyweight Championship. While we at OVW are sad to see him go, we are also very happy for Brian Pillman Jr on his continued success with AEW and wish him nothing but the best.”
Jim Ross also recently Tweeted out some complimentary comments about Pillman.
I am very blessed to be a part of the @AEW family! Thank you for your continuous wisdom and compassion JR! ?? https://t.co/R4PIF1IyGi
Pillman’s contract with MLW is believed to run until the summer. He is not currently scheduled to be part of the promotion’s “Kings of the Colosseum” event scheduled for Wednesday, however.
In an interview back in November, Pillman spoke about being able to work for other promotions while with MLW.
“It’s a pretty liberal deal where I can do a lot of things, you know? I’m not super exclusive to them; some of the later ones are. [My contract] was a little older and they were more lenient on what I could do, so I’m very happy and blessed for that. I’m also able to do AEW, MLW, and OVW television,” Pillman said on the SockMonkey Show.
Former WWE Agent and AEW on-screen Coach Arn Anderson recently appeared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast.
This week’s episode of Talk Is Jericho is dedicated to the life of Brodie Lee; with tributes being paid to the Dark Order leader across the podcast from many different names in AEW.
Arn Anderson himself would share a story about the family man that Jon Huber was before his untimely passing. “Many nights he would come out of the building after having either their dark match like on the last day of a loop or something” Arn would begin.
Arn Anderson on Brodie Lee
“I’d be walking across the parking lot and some nights I would be heading to SmackDown and if he was on RAW? He [Brodie] would be heading home and I would go: ‘you got an early flight in the morning?’ He would go, ‘I’m driving.’ I’d go ‘how far is that?’ ‘Ah it’s about 490 [miles]’ he’d say.”
“I said ‘Jesus Christ Brodie! The flight that you got in the morning? You’ll probably get home about the same time'” Arn would continue. “He said ‘if I get the jump on it right now, I can have breakfast with the family.’ So he was going to drive 500 miles to get there two hours earlier, to have breakfast with his family. That’s who he was.”
Arn Anderson would finish by again paying tribute to the former Luke Harper. “That’s who he was, that’s what he’ll always be to me. He wasn’t being braggadocious about it or he didn’t have his chest out. He’d just rather sit in the car, all night and be home two hours early to get to be with his family.”

This week on AEW Dynamite, the life of Brodie Lee was celebrated. At the end of the show, AEW President Tony Khan shared the ring with the Huber family. Brodie Lee Jr., who is -1 in the Dark Order, was given the TNT Championship belt and named champion for life. A new belt design will debut at a later time.
Brodie Lee’s boots were placed on the mat and Brodie Lee Jr. shared an embrace with Tony Khan. The AEW President was clearly choked up and holding back tears.
AEW posted the final moments of the show, including what did not air on Dynamite, to its official YouTube page. You can view the segment in the player below:
AEW has also announced that Brodie Lee Jr. (-1) has signed a contract with the promotion that will not begin until he is older. -1 also beat up several people in the back with a kendo stick, including members of his own faction.
“Thank you so much Amanda, -1 & Nolan for joining us to celebrate the life of Mr. Brodie Lee with his friends & fans. It was an honor sharing the ring with Amanda & -1, + it was great spending NYE with them last night too, where -1 won countless unsanctioned matches vs. top stars!” Tony Khan Tweeted in regards to the show.
AEW Commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently discussed the passing of Brodie Lee on his Grilling Jr podcast.
Following on from what was of course a huge loss for pro wrestling, JR would discuss how the influence of his son Brodie Lee Jr was felt backstage. Jim Ross would say how the son of the Dark Order leader was beloved by those in the AEW locker room.
The podcast was filmed before the Brodie Lee memorial episode of AEW Dynamite. On the TNT programme Brodie Lee Jr would be given the TNT Championship and crowned as the belt’s lifetime Champion.
Jim Ross on Brodie Lee Jr
“Brodie Jr? He’s become quite the beloved figure back in the locker room area” Jim Ross would state. “Everybody loves the little fart! He’s just personable as hell.”
“He looks a lot like his dad” JR would continue. “His eyes and his dad’s eyes? His eyes and his dad’s eyes are the same. He’s a cute little kid. I was with him on Sunday at the Jags game, we hugged and talked and I made him a deal.”
Jim Ross would then reveal the promise that he made to Brodie Lee Jr, with the son of Jon Huber hoping to become a professional wrestler himself down the line. “When he wrestles for his first World Title? I promised that I would announce that match” JR would reveal.
“That’s just me, and you know I wanted to make him happy. And he thought that was the coolest deal. So apparently his dad had been saying nice things about me and my work or whatever. And the little boy remembered it and thought that was pretty cool.”
Do you think that we’ll see Brodie Lee Jr in AEW one day? Are you enjoying Jim Ross’ work in AEW? Let us know in the comments
This week on AEW’s Tribute to the Life of Brodie Lee, Erick Redbeard, the former Erick Rowan in WWE, made a surprise appearance. Rowan and Brodie Lee, known as Luke Harper in WWE, are former NXT and Smackdown tag-team champions.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Erick Redbeard’s performance on Dynamite this week was scheduled to be just a one-off deal. Things can change, however, and Redbeard could still end up in AEW more regularly.
“Regarding Erick Rowan, his deal was just to make a special appearance on the Brodie Lee tribute show as a surprise. Obviously anything can change in the future,” wrote Dave Meltzer.
Erick Redbeard/Erick Rowan and Brodie Lee/Luke Harper
Real name Joseph Ruud, Redbeard began wrestling in 2003. In 2007, he moved to Japan to live and work in the Pro Wrestling NOAH dojo. He would later return to the United States and sign with WWE in 2011.
In late 2012, he was placed in the Wyatt Family in NXT along with Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt. They made their television debut in early 2013. They would debut on the main roster later that year. Following the breakup of the Wyatt Family, Harper and Rowen would be re-named the Bludgeon Brothers. They won the Smackdown titles before injuries sidelined the team.
WWE has uploaded a video of various Superstars remembering the late Jon Huber, best known to wrestling fans as Brodie Lee and Luke Harper.
The video below includes messages from Xavier Woods, Keith Lee, Mustafa Ali, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston and several others.
Amanda Huber, widow of late Brodie Lee, posted a message on Instagram reflecting on Wednesday night’s tribute show. She said her words and the photos could not do it justice, but the entire show was perfect, from top to bottom.
The little Easter eggs, the tributes, the matches, and the moments.” I’m not sure what it looked like on tv, and I’m sure sometime soon, I’ll see for myself. But I can tell you in person, the love in that building last night was real. It radiated all night long. You could feel it in the air. It was devastating and beautiful and a testament to one of the best people to walk this earth.”
Huber said that AEW is the most amazing community and called Tony Khan the kindest and most genuine person she’s ever met. “He loved my husband. He loves wrestling. He loves AEW. And he loves my family. Real, authentic love.”
She said she’s been around wrestling for a long time. She’s seen the absolute worst aspects of the business. AEW’s tribute show was heartfelt and genuine.
“Nobody was just ‘putting on a show.’ It was real and raw emotion and just fucking beautiful.”
You can read her full statement and check out the photos she posted at Instagram.
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega recently filed several new trademark applications.
On December 27th, the United States Patent & Trademark Office shows that attorney Michael Dockins filed the applications on behalf of Omega’s ‘KO 7 Productions’ LLC for:
The names “Kenny Omega” and “The Cleaner”
The “Omega” Greek symbol
According to the filing, Omega first began using his ring name in 2001 and the Cleaner name in 2014. All three marks include the following usages:
“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer”
The Kenny Omega name also includes a usage for dietary and nutritional supplements. Omega recently partnered with the Redcon1 nutrition company to introduce his own ‘Total War’ pre-workout supplement.
The entire wrestling world came together Wednesday night to witness All Elite Wrestling’s tribute to a fallen brother, Brodie Lee.
It was a very emotional broadcast that many viewers will never forget. Brodie Lee was adored for the man he was to his peers and respected for the father and husband he was to his family.
Brodie Lee had a memorable 2020 with AEW, but spent the past decade working for WWE. During that time, he forged friendships with Superstars as they traveled the world and made memories that will last a lifetime.
Last night AEW presented a celebration of the life of Brodie Lee. The promotion also released a special edition tribute shirt that went on sale at 8 PM est. All proceeds from the sales of these shirts go to benefit the Huber family.
Pro Wrestling Tees has announced that the sales of the Brodie Lee t-shirt have broken the company record for most shirts sold within 24 hours. The record tops Sting’s t-shirt sales that had previously broken that same record earlier this month.
Less than 30 days after Sting beat our record for most shirts sold within 24 hours. Mr. Brodie Lee broke that record before the end of Dynamite after less than 2 hours. All proceeds from this shirt go to benefit the Huber Family. ?? @shopaew@AEW@ThisBrodieLeepic.twitter.com/qD2ahRFjx2
PW Tees also announced the shirt has topped the sales of the year’s previous top-seller.
“Up until now… Orange Cassidy had the highest selling shirt of 2020 on ProWrestlingTees.com. He was just dethroned in just under 4 hrs after the release of this tribute shirt. The highest selling shirt of 2020 will go to Mr. Brodie Lee,” PW Tees Tweeted.
On the Pro Wrestling Tees website, several other Brodie Lee t-shirts are listed as the current best sellers. The special edition t-shirt is also available at ShopAEW.com. Additionally, all of Brodie Lee’s merchandise will also go to support the Huber family.
Other wrestlers, such as CM Punk and Mick Foley, have also said that proceeds from the sales of their t-shirts on PW Tees will also go to support the Huber family.
The big question ever since Sting joined AEW has been what the icon will be doing in the promotion and Jim Ross suggests that he won’t be having just a single role in the company.
The legendary commentator returned for his Grilling JR podcast once again where he talked about things like Tony Schiavone’s different outfits and more.
Talking about Sting’s arrival in the promotion, Ross revealed that it was Tony Khan who reached out to the former WCW star and claimed that he is going to have a variety of roles in the company:
“What’s really going on is Tony Khan reached out, hired Sting to a multiyear deal. He’s going to have a variety of roles, I don’t know what they are exactly but they will be in a creative capacity where he’s a character on television.
There’s a lot of ways to be a character on T.V.” said Jim Ross, “that’s been accepted by the audience nowadays that doesn’t include wrestling a match every week.”
The AEW star continued by claiming that he doesn’t think anyone should wrestle every week calling it a ‘kiss of death’ for the wrestler.
The former WWE star explained that wrestling every week over exposes a talent to the audience and you shouldn’t do it if you want to keep your talent fresh.

This week’s AEW Dynamite: Brodie Lee Celebration Of Life featured multiple video tributes to the late star from the various members of the AEW roster.
The show opened with a ten bell salute to the former TNT Champion followed by a video tribute from the former AEW Champion Jon Moxley who said that he will never forget Brodie.
Multiple other wrestlers shared their memories of the former WWE star throughout the show and the episode featured videos from people like Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston, Chris Jericho and more.
The company later posted several additional unaired tribute videos for the Exalted One on their YouTube channel.
Brodie Lee Tributes
Brodie Lee passed away due to a lung ailment on December 26 and since then the wrestling world has come together to honor the memory of the late star.
Companies like WWE and Impact Wrestling have also paid tribute to the former Luke Harper in various ways and AEW dedicated this week’s episode of Dynamite to the former champion.
The episode featured matches involving the members of Lee’s Dark Order faction and the company has announced that they are retiring the current design of the TNT championship to honor Brodie Lee.
AEW has decided to retire the current design of the TNT Championship in honor of the late Brodie Lee who passed away due to a lung ailment this past Saturday on December 26.
The main event of this week’s episode of Dynamite saw the team of Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy & Ten beating Team Taz (Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks) in a six men tag team match.
After the bout, Brodie Lee’s older son was brought into the ring and he was awarded a TNT title belt. AEW President Tony Khan then named Brodie Lee Jr. a “TNT Champion for life” and the show ended with a tribute video.
In the Dynamite post-show later on, Tony Schiavone confirmed that the company will be retiring the current belt design for the TNT title and the negative one will always have the TNT belt with the current design.
“Little Brodie, ‘Negative One’ if you will, is always going to have that TNT belt, we’ll come up with a new belt,” said Schiavone. “That’ll be his. The particular belt that was given to little Brodie tonight has been retired.”
There is no word yet on how long it will take the company to come up with a new design for the TNT title but it will likely take at least a few weeks before the company introduces the new belt.
