After teasing his debut for the past few weeks, Wardlow finally made his first appearance on AEW Dynamite during this week’s episode of the show.
Chris Jericho came out during a segment on the show and he talked about beating Cody Rhodes at the Full Gear PPV this past Saturday night.
Next came MJF who turned on Cody during the PPV and he claimed that if he hadn’t thrown the towel, then Rhodes’ wrestling career would have been over.
The two go back and forth about MJF possibly joining the Inner Circle and they tease tension only to hug each other at the end. Then comes Cody Rhodes.
Cody attacks both the stars and takes out Jericho. He then turns his attention on his former protégé but as Rhodes approaches MJF, Wardlow makes his debut and attacks the former Champion from behind:
The newest AEW star then takes out Cody on MJF’s command. The segment ends with the two standing tall and MJF claiming that he is the face of All Elite Wrestling.
It’s unknown what AEW is planning for Wardlow after his debut but this segment makes it seem like he will be paired with MJF in the coming future.
