The Young Bucks will face Private Party in the first round of the AEW tag team championship tournament this fall. The match announcement was made last night after the two teams faced each other at a House of Glory event.
The first round tournament match between the two teams will take place on the second-ever episode of AEW on TNT, October 9th in Boston.
AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament
One other upcoming AEW match will have a significant impact on the AEW tag team championship tournament as well. The Dark Order will take on the Best Friends at All Out with the winner receiving a bye in the first round of the tournament. The match is not a tournament match itself, however, meaning the losing team will not be eliminated.
AEW on TNT Upcoming Matches Scheduled
The match between the Bucks and Private Party is the first scheduled for the show in Boston. Multiple matches have been announced for the promotion’s TNT debut on October 2nd in Washington, however:
- The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners
- Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara
- The first-ever AEW Women’s Champion will be crowned
Following the show in Boston, AEW will head to Philadelphia for October 16th.
