After cutting promos on each other recently on Smackdown, AJ Styles and Randy Orton are scheduled for WrestleMania. WWE recently confirmed the two will face each other in single’s competition on the show.
“At WrestleMania, AJ Styles will take on Randy Orton in a battle to see who has the right to call SmackDown LIVE their house,” a WWE press release reads.
Orton and Styles have only wrestled one single’s match on WWE programming previously. Orton defeated Styles on the March 7th, 2017 episode of Smackdown in a match which earned him a future title shot. They’ve since wrestled several times on house shows recently, however.
“WWE.com has since learned that this match will indeed that place on The Showcase of the Immortal, Sunday, April 7 at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.”
