A guaranteed title shot with current bantamweight champ Zach Makovsky, along with $100,000 in total pay for the match, is set for the winner of the Vila vs. Dantas bout.
At 40 years old, Alexis Vila still remain undefeated in his pro career along with being a 1996 bronze-medal winner. Vila’s knockout victory over Joe Warren and his split-decision win over Marcos Galvao set his spot for the Bellator 59 headliner fight.
As of now Eduardo Dantas, the Brazilian and Nova Uniao team member, has won five consecutive fights and ten of his last eleven.
