Backstage News On Damien Sandow’s WWE Release

Damien Sandow was arguably one of the most surprising releases during last week’s “Black Friday” firing spree. His likability and ability to get over on his own werenassets that not everybody on the roster can boast about. While Dave Meltzer noted this week that he knew about Sandow’s pending release prior to WrestleMania, the WWE locker room was said to be very surprised at him being cut.

PWInsider reports that Sandow’s release was a matter of WWE officials wanting to “freshen things up.” Especially with all the new talent recently brought in (and more on the way), Sandow unfortunately fell victim to the company’s need to free up space to accommodate the newcomers.
